Highly recommended! Such a cute little place, but a little hidden. Even though it is on Tamiami rd, it's not in a spot where you would really see it driving by. With that, it may be less crowded than other places, but don't let that be the reason you don't go. They have some really creative food items on the menu which makes this stand out from the rest. It's not a cut and dry generic menu. I enjoyed the special dish of the day, which was a breakfast sandwich. It was 2 waffles made from sweet potatoes, which sweet and crispy fried chicken inside. Some people may not see that as breakfast, but all the ingredients and the waffles...definitely ok for breakfast or brunch. Kind of like an upscale chicken waffle. Also had the Eggs Benedict.....perfect! You have to go, and then tell me if you liked it as much as me.

Stop! They are Closed til September 1 2015 for Renovations - wish this announcement would have been on Yelp - as we invited another couple to meet us there . Drove up and saw the signs on the door. Otherwise we like the place!

Stick with Five Guys... Trail Cafe more expensive.. I ideally stop for burger at Five Guys decided to try Trail Cafe because I had coupon they would not honor thin frozen cheap gray meat.. on big bun cheap frozen fries will not be back..

This place was a pleasant surprise! The decor and atmosphere far exceeded my expectations. We had breakfast and it was one of the best breakfasts that I have had in awhile. We were very impressed that we were served real, hot maple syrup. The grits and the biscuit were the very best I have ever had in Naples. My husband ordered a sweet iced tea and he was brought a regular iced tea with a side of cold simple syrup, which he loved, because he could make his tea as sweet as he wanted. We will definitely return! Great restaurant and service!

Razzle dazzle french toast was fantastic! Fresh brew coffee was excellent. Service is stellar. Greek skillet is a must have. Owners are very involved. A+

This place is awesome for Breakfast. Unique menu with a variety that makes you want to keep reading the next item offered...I had an egg, bacon, swiss sandwich that was perfectly made...My son had pancakes that were fluffy and also perfect... They have an awesome French Toast Variety...Stuffed with this and that...one even had Frosted Flakes in it! My brother lives by the restaurant and took me there a few months ago and now when I'm in the area I make sure to stop by.

This is an attractively decorated breakfast and lunch place that we enjoyed on a recent stay in Naples. They offer a very broad breakfast menu however we arrived just before noon and their breakfast ends earlier in the morning. No worries in that they have an equally large choice of lunch items. My wife had their creative take on a chicken salad sandwich ($9.99), chunks of white meat chicken with grapes, pecans, celery, mayo and "special spices", including a side of sweet potato fries. They offer a large choice of breads that we were advised are fresh daily. I had a patty melt ($9.99) on grilled sourdough bread. It was good but their grill person needs to be a bit more aggressive. The burger portion was exactly as ordered (medium) but lacked the outside color / caramelization as did the grilled bread that makes it appear more appealing and tasty too. Turn up the grill; the food won't get away from you. BTW, the fries served with it were perfectly cooked; crispy with creamy centers! We like to support local places and Trail Café offers personal and excellent service and we wouldn't hesitate to visit again whenever we're in Naples.

Love being pleasantly surprised at this great find at the end of a strip mall off of a Main Road, 41. You would never expect such a comfy atmosphere. The home like Decor coupled with friendly service started our breakfast with many smiles. Menu is creative, yet traditional. I liked the make your own skillets. They are very open to substitutes and variations. The bonus to a seemingly family owned business. Definitely will return, good place to meet friends, bring family, sit and chat. Additional parking to the side of the building.

Liked this place much better under former ownership. Discourteous Service as well. Food OK.

I'm going to give it two stars because the atmosphere in the dining room was nice...but the walk back tot he bathroom was kind of disgusting. It looks like the base boards are wet and moldy. The service was great but the food was very disappointing. The pancakes were thin and dense and kind of gross. The banana fosters french toast was basically plain french toast with cut up bananas. My husband even ask to see the menu again to reread the description. The description was a lot fancier then what was on his plate. We don't send food back or verbally complain...but you would have thought when my husband asked to look at the menu again, that would have clued the staff in that things were not as expected. =(

We went here for lunch and found the food to be tasteless. We both ordered the Monte Cristo and thought we were two of the unluckiest people in the world. The coffee tasted alright but the cup was badly stained. We don't need the luxury of being in an upscale restaurant but we do need to like the food. The server was very pleasant.

My husband and I's favorite breakfast nook. No chain, no local restaurant matches their pancake mix. No idea what it is but honestly it's pancakes like they are meant to be and try the Razzleberry Pancakes - yum!

Trail Cafe is tucked away in a shopping center and may be a little tough to find at first, but it's worth looking for! They have some great fresh breakfast items that are not to be missed. Although Florida is usually a little too warm for oatmeal, try it on a chilly day...it's hearty and yummy. They also have some great french toast and waffles, but my favorite is their santa fe skillet and a mimosa. You will leave here stuffed and happy.

The clever items on the menu as well as most of the homey decor have survived the departure of the first owners. The present management continues to please The Trail's breakfast & lunch regulars. Dinner plate sized salads are a good choice. I recommend asking for dressing on the side as More is Better seems to be the kitchen mantra.

I've been to the Trail at least 25 times - my office is nearby and its convenient. My experience is somewhat limited to their salads, which are mediorce at best. The ingredients don't seem fresh, and the tomatoes are tasteless. On top of that, their prices are through the roof. Just compare what you get from EVOO or other restaurants for the money. And many of these restaurants are running 2 for 1 in the summer. Pat, the owner is very nice. But the other staff is spotty. I hear that they make a nice breakfast - hope so because lunch has been dismal.
