Today is Father's Day, 2015 and the Yelp review indicated that The Crust is open. Thank goodness I called before I went and found out they are closed. I have a 3 year old with me and I would have been more than UPSET if I had driven there only to find it closed. Please, SomeBody, update the page with the correct information,

Awesome salads with lots of flavor! (Didn't try the pizza, though) Bathroom was immaculate (a nice surprise). Didn't give this place 5 stars as the waitress forgot about us and she told us so (long wait to order at about 2pm on a weekday when it wasn't busy at all).

Ok so first time and the crust is the thing! Really thin, really CRUSTY (DUH!). We had the Palermo... Basically a white, no sauce but we added sausage which was definitely a good idea. Nice guys wait staff.. Joe did great. So it's ok, especially for this area but I think we wouldn't cross town for it. Can't compete with Parmesan Pete's arugula and pizza, Rosedale's white. But good stop if going to Paragon Pavillion movie.

In addition to special thin crust pizzas, they have some wonderful sandwiches and salads. I had the chicken sandwich today. It was piled high with moist chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and banana peppers on a crusty baguette. This was definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches. I would definitely order that again. The service was great, our waiter was super friendly.

OMG the pizza is ABSOLUTELY delicious . Holy shit they are generous on cheese and pepperoni !!!! Bathrooms are cleaner than hospital- that's a plus . I truly enjoy the atmosphere ! Thumbs up !

Had a cheese pie and meatball sandwich. The pizza is thin crust and very dry. The meatball sandwich was good. My biggest issue is the cost. $9 for a small meatball sub and $16 for a pie which was less than average on taste. I wouldn't be back. Better pizza elsewhere in Naples.

Went to crust with friends on a Friday night. Even though it was very crowded we were seated quickly and our order was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The family size salad was fresh and plentiful with a homemade dressing that was very tasty. The pizza was made with excellent ingredients. The dough was a little chewy for our taste and we felt they could have been more generous with the toppings. We were very pleased to have another Place for Pizza in Naples.

They should have named it The Toppings. Toppings rate 5 stars. Crust is one star. It is basically a large soda cracker, maybe even matzos. A pizza without a chewy crust is not a pizza in my humble ........ The size is nice, toppings are very generous (they use provolone instead of mozzarella but it gets lost in the other flavors) and the staff are wonderful. The crust sucks.

The pizza sauce is full of garlic. It use to be great pizza, now it is only like a poor copy of other chain type pizzas. If you like an upset stomach be thief guest. Too bad.

Was looking forward to finding a great thin crust pizzeria in Naples so gave Crust a try. Meh .. Sums up my trial. Decor was trendy and staff was friendly although a bit disorganized. The house salad was good , I got the side but for the price difference the large seemed a better deal. We ordered a large 1/2 cheese and half meat lovers. It is not a true thin crust, it's Midwest style?? Which reminded me of a pastry or turnover type dough. Very airy and crispy like a cracker but with no filling. The pizza had very little sauce and was very dry , especially with that type crust. The toppings were generous, but I didn't care for the small school cafe pepperoni and the overwhelming amount of overcooked crumbled beef. The pizza is not cut into slices but small squares, great for sharing I guess but I'd rather have a traditional slice. It was just ok - defiantly not a $25 pie. More like a bland flatbread. Next time I'll head back to Mamma Mias or Napoli on the Bay.

Great pizza, loaded with toppings. Salad was just ok, a little pricey but overall a nice place! Will have it again.

"The Crust" is the best pizza on the East coast. How do I know. Let me tell you a story. While on an extended business trip that will take me all over the country for 49 days, I was in Naples on my way to Vanderbilt Beach where I visited often as a University if Miami student-athlete. I was on my way for a run on the beach when I stumbled upon "The Crust" for a quick lunch. When I asked the waitress if the pizza was good she smiled and said "yes, it's very good, thin and crispy and cut into square pieces." This caught my attention as I know that having grown up in Columbus, Ohio that there is only ONE place that has pizza like that; the world famous Tommy's Pizza & Subs. Tommy's is an INSTITUTION in Columbus and known by everyone. I knew once I got my side salad that I was in for a treat because I could tell these people knew what they were doing and this wasn't going to be just another run of the mill pretender pizza joint of South Florida. When she brought my small pepperoni, I almost had tears in my ears. Evidently, the owner and his wife spent two years trying to come up with a replica of the Tommy Pizza crust. In my opinion, this pizza was even better than Tommy's. They also have gone a step further in having some other pizza toppings that Tommy's of Columbus does not have and they also have the subs that are so famous to the Buckeye State. As a frequent traveler and pizza lover, I can tell you that you will not be disappointed at The Crust. You can just tell they take a lot of pride in their product, staff and appearance. It really is a little gem and I am so glad I found it. I will save a lot of airfare going to Columbus when now all I have to do is come across from Fort Lauderdale. The Crust is a perfect "10".

Tonight I tried The Crust for the first time and a friend told me it was his "new favorite pizza place". Crust is sometimes my favorite part of a pizza...Uhm, yes please! Called in a pick up order, a girl named Nicole who took my order was very polite. Told me a 15 minute wait time, I was shocked by the length, but super pleased! Arrived, worked my way to the counter...surprised to see a new, local pizza joint busy on a Thursday night, in the off season!!! Now I see why. An older spunky blonde woman cashed me out at the counter...her and a cute scruffy young man talked me into trying their home made creamy Parm sauce (when I asked for ranch, which they don't carry). Tried it and love it! Loving the personalities in this place too, feels like a real Mom & Pop type of place! I tipped well on my take out order due to this two. TO MY FELLOW YELPERS....ALWAYS, I REPEAT, ALWAYS TIP ON TAKE OUT ORDERS! You have no idea what they go through to assure your order is the way it should be. THIS PIZZA IS GREAT. We ordered a Meat Lovers, add pineapple. They are generous with toppings and cheese, could've used just a liiiittle more sauce though. Their marinara is super tasty, would've liked more on the pie! The sweet pineapple tamed the salty meats, disappointed they don't carry black olives. And the crust is amazing. Thin and crispy yet somehow it's a little soft, love it!!! Got a meatball sub too. Good meatballs, but barely any cheese on it. C'mon Guys! The bread was soft and covered in sesame seeds. It was decent...IF I order it again I'll order it with extra cheese. I really like this place so far. Like that it's a real pizza joint, you sit down, they serve you, it's personal. You can actually go and enjoy a meal there. Because no one wants to go on a date and sit in the front window of a dominos. Feels old school, makes me feel at home. Great for families, small groups, and even date night. Good vibes, great food, friendly staff...I'll definitely be back! But next time I want to, no I have to, dine in!

This pizza is fantastic. My wife had a meat lovers and I had just a sausage pizza. There were so many toppings. The crust was just thin and crispy - I mean a perfect crispy pizza. Tha sauce is just right. We have eaten a lot of pizza all over the U.S. This is one of the best we have had. Though we did not taste them, some of the salads looked huge and one had a lot of chicken it in - Wow they give you a lot for the $. PS: The prices are what you would expect for a pizza. They begin around $11 and go up. PSS: We now go here often. In the evenings this place is packed - at least on Fridays. Our wait was only 15 minutes. Pizza and service still exceptional. PSS: In Nov 2015 they are scheduled to move next to Longhorn Steak House (another favorite of ours in Naples) off Hwy 41. It is about 3/4 of a mile from their current location, but triple the size. Pic of what is left of a small sausage pizza, Yummy!

Wow wow wow!!!!! We stopped in here with friends. I'm so glad we did! The owner and the wait staff were so very friendly, the atmosphere was fun and the decor was nice. Our salads were huge! What a deal! And, they were amazing! Each one was a meal in itself for less than $10. We ordered pizza and it was to die for!!!!! It was perfect and tasty and beautifully presented. I heard they are moving to a larger place- they will need to because this place was hopping! I'm not surprised as there aren't a lot of exceptional pizza places in Naples. This one is the best around!!!! It took us a long time to find the best and I'm so glad we did- we will be letting everyone in our community know about this gem!

Ultra thin, snappy pizza crust made for an amazingly delicious pizza. The crust : sauce : topping ratio was perfect. Yes, the pice is higher than the chains but if you want the best pizza you've ever had, the Crust is where it's at.

  • Brian D.

The pizza is outstanding. The service could use some improvement. We had the 10-inch BBQ chicken and they helpfully offer to split. Unfortunately we also ordered a salad that was never delivered. We will come back and hope for better attentiveness when it isn't midafternoon and a little sleepy. Nice people.

Service is great, the place has a vibrant energy to it, the pizza is definitely great and lots of configurations of how you want it or predetermined flavors. Glad to see they are expanding into larger space soon. Definitely recommend.

I have to agree with my fellow yelp reviewers from 10 months ago...Please make sure you scroll down to the later reviews to see what the crust is all about. The reviews are exactly correct. The crust is like a matzah or a cracker..there is no sauce and the toppings while plentiful give no flavor to a pizza that you expect to blow you away. I love the concept of using provolone cheese, but I could bareIy taste it or see it. My wife got the family favorite, but there was really nothing great about the combination of toppings. My daughters got a plain cheese pizza so you would figure that would have a traditional taste, however it was really bland. I can respect a New York or Chicago style pizza but this can't be compared to Parmesan Pete's or Gatspy's of old. On a positive note, the staff is absolutely fantastic. They are friendly and enthusiastic and the only bright spot of this very thin crust. We won't be back...

Outstanding pizza! Was very impressed. The palermo & meat pizza was amazing. Would highly recommend. I've had pizza from all over the country, this pizza could have competed with all of them.

Dropped in on a whim after sunset (in other words, when the whole world is going out for dinner!) and was truly wowed by this newish joint in the neighborhood. The Crust is shoe-horned into a long, narrow space near the LA Fitness in Pavilion, but absolutely makes the most of it. The long kitchen hugs the back left of the room, with dining spaces wrapping around it in an "L". Counter seating and booths back along the kitchen, booths and tables in the full-width space up front, and lots of patio seating outside. It is amazing how many people they can seat, and they need to with the way business is booming. The decor is industrial, with lots of reclaimed wood and metal, but cheeky art lines the walls: old-school black and white celebs (Hitchcock, Elvis, etc.) with color Crust food photoshopped in. The other thing that will jump out at you is the number of staff (at one point I counted 14 within sight) for such a small space, and the efficiency and friendliness with which they operate. Most other Naples restaurants could come here to take lessons. The food. Great. Our party had a salad, a sub, and a pizza. The salad was well portioned, with fresh and crisp lettuce, a zesty Caesar dressing and (thank God!) anchovies. The only missed note were the odd croutons, some of which were just too big and too hard to comfortably mix in with a forkful of salad. The meatball sub was pronounced one of the best ever. Hard to go wrong with a good meatball and good sauce, but the bun really made it work. Often buns are so hard and crusty that biting through pushes the contents of the sub out of the bun, or so soft that the sauce soaks into the bread resulting in a sloppy, soggy mess. These buns were perfect, and fresh, and spectacularly well suiting to holding up to the sauce while still allowing the eater to cut through them without dissolving the precious cargo within. Finally, the pizza. Cracker crisp crust, but with a little bit of doughy goodness "floating" (as described by our server) on top to give both textures. Great and fresh ingredients on top - we did sausage, onion, green pepper - in just the right amounts created a balanced and tasty morsel. Cut square style like back home in Minnesota which allows you to better share and/or tailor the amount you eat to your appetite. Edible with knife and fork or with the fingers. We all ate more than we had planned; it was that good. Right now, resisting the urge to run to the fridge and retrieve the leftovers! Prices were not cheap, but reasonable and affordable. Both Coke and Pepsi products available (thank you!) plus wine and beer. This place is now on the must-stop list for our visits to Naples!

Great service and great pizza. Tryed both Pepperoni and Palermo. Thin delicate crust. Excellent service to boot. Definitely will repeat.

This is a fairly new establishment and a cool place to hang out. The decor is hip and the entire place is very clean. I had a Greek salad and meatball sub. The dressing and feta on the Greek salad were delish, HOWEVER please note the Greek salad has no lettuce which is kind of a bummer, just veggies and feta. They did offer to add some lettuce so that was nice. The meatball sub was delish. The meatballs were juicy and flavorful. I was told they are a mix of veal, pork, and beef which made for a light and tasty meatball. The bread was toasted perfectly and help the meatballs and sauce without falling apart. Prices are reasonable and the staff was nice. I would definitely go back.

I love yelp because of this, I'm on a stay-cation, I live in Miami (about 2 hours from here). Since I am not familiar with this area me and my wife turned to Yelp for some good pizza. Man, were we in for a treat. This place is awesome! The waitress was friendly and the restaurant inviting. So glad I visited this establishment, would definitely recommend it.

After 5 visits I wanted to write a review! Always busy and always worth the quick wait. Thin crust pizza and great toppings. Family owned and operated, love the service, atmosphere, and more importantly the pizza!

The Pizza is fantastic! Crunchy yet light crust ... I've ordered several different pizza's from there and everyone has been so good!! I'm a seasonal Floridian and I must go to The Crust every time I'm in Naples! On a side note: The owner is a bit pretentious and was not the friendliest. Good thing she has a fantastic, genuine staff working for her!

This place is a cool little spot . Very thin crispy pizza . I give it a B because most of the cheese and sauce wAs in the middle and not on the edges but I would still highly recommend trying it . They have gf options and homemade dressings ... We had the wedge salad and it was great . Service was amazing very friendly staff . We had such a good Time there it's defiantly a place to try !!

Sooo impressed by "The Crust". This place is wonderful. The wait was long but after having the pizza, I can understand why. Initially my family ate at Skillet, a nearby restaurant in the complex, a morning before, and that's how we were turned onto The Crust; we saw the four star review and decided to give it a try. The staff was fantastic in addition to our meal. Joe, our waiter, was courteous, on top of our drinks and was authentically genuine and attentive to our needs. The host actually cared about our experience and flustered that we had to wait so long for our table. I will definitely be going back. For all of you seasoned Naples residents and crowds reading this, you may have been looking for a "Mickey's Pizza" replacement since it closed it's doors in the late 1990's... THIS IS IT!

  • Charisse B.

Great pizza and great experience. We had the BBQ chicken pizza and loved the toppings and the BBQ sauce was sweet and a little spicy. Service was good and the hostess was fantastic going out of her way to make sure everyone was taken care of. We will definitely make a trip back here on our next trip to Naples.

We all know pizza is just about the most subjective food there is. That being said, this is my most favorite pizza in Floridia. The proprietors knew what they were doing when they named this place The Crust. It is crisp, with those air void bubbles we Midwesterners covet. I ordered my pizza with sausage and garlic. The sausage is crumbled, not a sliced link. Crumbles provide a much more even distribution of the product. Also it had that fennel seed flavor I like so much. They have about a dozen booths and a couple six tops with six or so tables outside. The Crust serves beer and wine both on tap for freshness. This placed just opened this week, and I hope it is around for years.

Ordered the 10" BBQ pizza and it was great. $13 dollars for the pizza and very filling. They cut the pizza in small slices. I recommend trying out this pizza place. Hostess and waitress were very nice and treated us well.

I went to The Crust on more than just a whim. I heard that the business had made contact with LA Fitness next door and used their marketing efforts to introduce themselves. Smart move. People, take notes. You want allies in knowing how to support each other in such a seasonal location. With very little visibility, kudos to reaching out to a regular market of year rounders. I do have to say that I read some of the previous reviews and I truly expected the worst. However, to my surprise, I had a satisfying experience. I shared a Palermo pizza which has a bunch of different cheeses, garlic, caramelized onions and olive oil. The taste was very rich for such few ingredients, and I truly appreciated how it complemented my side spinach salad. I could have used less olive oil, because I had to explain to my friends that it was olive oil and not grease. My suggestion would be to use better presentation for your in-house diners more than just throwing it on a piece of cardboard and right onto the flat table. Despite those few things, I felt that the place had great ambiance. It almost felt like I was in a casual pizza place in the city. It had an "exposed brick" wall, subway tiles, barnyard wood-type bar along with the tables, and incorporated some black and white pictures of old hollywood with their pizza branding. I think this is a nice addition to the Pavillion and it will be a place to stand on its own. Do I think that it's the best pizza in town? Probably not, but it's definitely a good option.

  • Bonnie M.

We ordered the Palermo pizza! Carmelized onions and a blend of cheeses on a crunchy thin crust! Cannot wait to return and I would recommend this place for a quick bite after a movie at the Paragon!

  • Sue A.

If tonight had been out 1st try at Crust we'd never return. Our server never returned to fill our drinks. After asking for a box he never returned. We had to keep asking other servers. My 1/2 of the pizza arrived burned. No sauce or cheese left just burned up mushrooms. I asked for an extra side of sauce because "my side was too well done for me." Our server returns with the sauce then told us he was taking off my 1/2 of the pie because they wanted us to enjoy a great pizza. Never offered to replace it. So I'm sitting there with a burned pizza.....no Bueno.

I see all the reviews are for the pizza which is a great new style for Naples. I went there the other day though for a sub. The prices are a bit steep in my opinion around 9 buck for a 12" sub. They only come in one size I think, but overall it was good. I ordered the Italian sub which had a fair amount of meat on it unlike many other places in town. Seems like the prices are a bit higher, but they make up for it in the amount of meat you get. Which I like since many places give you a pile of vegetables between wicked thick bread. Decor is nice. Staff seems to be working well from what I noticed. Not much to complain about for a new place opening up.

  • Sal N.

I've seen the sign for the Crust up for months while going to the gym next door so when it opened I had to try it. On the inside the place is very nice, cool custom photographs and artwork through out the store with plenty of booths and tables. I can tell a ton of money was put into "The Crust". I ordered a large Pepperoni Pizza to share with my date and take some home. They told me the pizza was "midwestern" style. Which must mean thin airy crust that feels like a cracker with uneven topping and cheese distribution and lackluster sauce flavor. Because thats what I got. The slices are so small its impossible to eat it without having a hand covered in grease. The staff was talking so highly of it so needless to say I was disappointed. In this town a cool gimmick and a nice looking interior can only take a pizza shop so far. With so many established better shops in town I don't see them lasting based on taste and price. A large pepperoni pie cost me $19 and it did not feel worth it. I wont be recommending this place or returning.

Yummy and worth the wait - which can be long. Love the thin yeast crust with a marinara sauce that was well seasoned. Toppings were plentiful, albeit, a bit expensive on the smaller pies. We went twice during the week. You can understand why the establishment is doing so well and planning a move to a bigger spot. Everyone is enjoying their meal as you look around.

I went to the crust because I heard they had gluten free pizza. They advertise gluten free but they use the same spatula to remove wheat dough from the oven as the so called gluten free crust. The manager informed me they don't practice gf in the kitchen that there is a huge chance of cross contamination. He said they have gluten free crust because they are next to la fitness for people who choose a healthier option. If you are like me and have celiac disease stay far from this place. I also had to pick my jaw up off the floor, why would anyone think that gluten free is a health option to normal food, it's loaded with just as much calories and fat no one would choose to eat this way if they had a choice in my opinion. Stay away if you have celiac or a gluten intolerance!!!!

Ambience was nice.Service was adequate. Pizza was extremely overpriced no sauce not enough cheese not enough toppings for the price. They only carry draft beer that sucks ! 45.00 dollars for one soft drink and one draft beer and two pizzas one 12 inch gluten-free and 13 inch meat lover pizza .Pulse tip night out with my son was 54.00 dollars . One local that will never be back.

We recently moved here and we have been weeding through the pizza places in an attempt to find our go-to spot. This is by far our favorite! The crust is thin and crispy and the pesto sauce and red sauce are fantastic. My husband had the house salad with champagne vinaigrette and I thought he'd give me more than one bite, but not this time! It was that good. Now I know I have to order my own. If you haven't already, I'd give this place a try!

Was near the area and my wife said she had heard about The Crust. Since I'm a fat guy who loves pizza, I wanted to try it out. Right off the bat it's a nice casual environment, very relaxing with artwork featuring their pizza and name in old school photos. However they have an open kitchen/wait station and by nature, kitchens are not quiet. So all you hear while you eat is dishes banging, young employees singing and being kids (it's what you do in a kitchen). I've never liked the idea of open kitchens because of the noise factor so that's one minus for me. The menu is limited to just pizza, subs and salads so each item should just be fantastic. The amount of options for the create your own pizza is amazing. I did a ham and sausage with a smoked gouda she got hers with olive oil, green olives and mushrooms. She really liked hers and I like the taste of mine just fine however their crust absolutely drove me mad. It's very thin but the bigger problem is how bubbly it was. Almost every bite of my pizza was a super thin crust bubble that tasted like an empty cracker if that's possible. I did not like that because at one point it was like I was just eating pizza made on cardboard but even thinner. All in all its a good place to try out you make like that thin, very thin, crust but I would not go back personally, however my wife probably would.

Heard about this being the best gluten free pizza in the area, set my expectations really high and was blown away by how good it was. It's the best gluten free pizza I've ever had and will definitely go back. Service was excellent - great job by Jake and Tim.

Big fan of the crust pizza! I don't know how they get the crust to remain so crispy but they do and its great. Also a big fan of the salads...the dressing is homemade and you can tell. Can't go wrong with their house salad and a pepperoni pizza! Also get the large and bring some home for leftovers...best leftover pizza I have ever had:)

Priced a little high, but their pizza is great ! The crust is perfect & crispy with just the right amount of cheese and toppings. I would definitely recommend The Crust !

With an extremely limited menu it makes it hard to want to come here to often. Pizza is decent, not much sauce flavor thou, mostly an abundance of cheese, downside is that the cut of the pie is not triangular more of a post it size bite or two. I've had the chicken sandwhich, which left me starving due to the lack of chicken. I have had the meatball sub which was good but also lacked anough meatballs for me to be satisfied. The subs run about 9$ which i feel is steep for the lack of protein included. The salads are good thou. they have 3 beers on tap and some wine as well. Bottled soda as opposed to fountain. Overall, if ur passing by it's worth a taste, but if ur looking for hot wings mozz sticks or fried ravioli, keep it movin because there are literally no appetizers.

Just went to The Crust last night. Awesome pizza - being from Chicago I think I have the right to say this! I read all the reviews afterwards because I was amazed at some of the low ratings. Bottom line - if you like crispy crust and pizza that isn't soggy - you will love The Crust. We got the Palermo and the Pesto. Palermo was rich with true caramelized onions and the right balance of cheeses. The Pesto has so many toppings - chicken artichoke, kalamata, onion, tomato, pesto and cheese -- i really wondered what their secret was to the crispy crust! Also got the spinach salad - nice, fresh ingrediants . One of the servers recommended the parmesan dressing - so we tried both the balsamic & parmesan. Dressings seem very homemade - not cheap bottle dressing... so you can't go wrong with any of them. Finally - the service. It was a Tuesday night and I counted at least 11 folks working there. I asked if they always have that much help - especially off-season? They said that they were training a few new folks. This is refreshing because an Italian restaurant in the same mall can take some lessons from them on staffing. The servers were friendly & efficient. All I can say is try it now! Also note - I am not affiliated with anyone owning or working at the restaurant.

I have been in the pizza business 48 years and The Crust is the first shop I have been in that makes a crust with a non traditional dough. This was a first as far as know of. A great addition to the industry. There toppings are also of the best quality in the industry. One of a few shops outside northeastern Ohio that uses provolone cheese as topping. There name says IT ALL. Anyone that is a pizza lover must try this CRUST!!!!!!!! Good luck!!!!!! Will see you next year at at there new location. I'm not a thin crust lover but this place changed my mind. Really enjoyed the food and the service was solid considering every table was packed! Will be going back again. I just hope that their success doesn't go to their heads once they move into the new, much bigger location and all of a sudden realize they are out of season and need more locals to support them.

This is very good thin crust pizza. The sauce, cheese, and pepperoni were very good. I prefer a thicker crust for my pizza, but this was still very good.
