I rarely review restaurants on yelp. However, this place ABSOLUTELY DESERVES A BETTER RATING THAN THIS! This restaurant has by far the best chinese food in Naples. It's the closest thing I've found that is comparable to chinese food from New York. Their pork fried rice is outstanding. The chicken rice soup is delicious. They have great noodles and duck sauce. And general tso's is always a must. The owners son is very nice. To be in business for almost 30 years in swfl, they must be doing something right.

I rarely comment negatively, however this was the worst food I have ever attempted to consume. Don't waste your money. This food is overpriced and absolutely terrible.

Went here with my daughter and grandmother for lunch. We ordered a pupu platter, beef lomein, and pork fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive. Our food was out quickly. Everything was AMAZING. Have gone here off and on since the 90's! Always amazing quality and flavor, yet somehow we forget this little place exists. Probably cause the shopping plaza it's in now only has it, 3 other places at the other end, and buffalo wild wings directly next to it. But this was the BEST Chinese we've had in years. My 3 yearold repeatedly served herself up helpings of each item, so did my grandmother and myself. Yet there is STILL so much extra that we brought home it'll be at least two more meals.

This used to be our favorite Chinese Restaurant.but not any more. First of all,the new owner who waited on us,you could not even hear. We ordered two combo plates.witch used to be $7.95 each, were 11.85 and $15.95. And charged us )1.00 each for tea! Which leaves us to the food, which was horrible. We did not even eat the very mushy egg rolls, that tasted like crap. The bill came to $36.00,and was as disappointing as the fortune cookies.

So far as good as it gets around here for American Chinese food. Best part is the atmosphere and dining room. Decent enough to bring a date or do business here. Clean, matching chairs and tables ( imagine that!) usual lunch specials that include soup and egg rolls. Servers communicate well and are friendly. Free and easy parking. Accept Amex too

The food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the chicken and broccoli. The chicken tasted old and the sauce was very salty. The egg roll was fried so poorly it was dripping in grease. The insides looked like a rolled up paper towel doused in oil. We asked the waiter if he eats there and he said sometimes. We said it was bad and he nodded in agreement. If you're a local and this is your only choice, perhaps this is acceptable. As a visitor and chinese food aficionado, this was far from acceptable. We have had better food from the shoddy take out place down the road. Overall, save your money. We wish we did.

Oh NO...Now that the son has taken over we will not go there. He is the rudest, most unpleasant person you will ever deal with. Seriously, things have gone down hill quickly. It's sad, because his father and mother are great people. Sadly, he is an overweight, spoiled American kid now...Oh, he's a pompous one.

I love Chinese food (Americanized, that is) but having never eaten in any Chinatown (San Francisco, New York) I can only base my review on what is available to me here in Southwest Florida and the many other places around the US in which I have eaten. First, the service is very good and friendly and the restaurant interior is inviting...a step above most. There is comfortable seating. Second, the food is served fresh and hot and in a timely manner. Lastly, my two favorite Chinese dishes, hot and sour soup and Kung Pao Chicken are the best in town. I love spicy food and ask for this dish to be 'spicy' and the kitchen seasons it perfectly (for me). I try to eat here once per week...and to date, am on track!

I have been a customer of Szechuan Restaurant on East 41 for 20 years. Apparently the son of the owner has taken over. Two weeks ago I placed a delivery order (like most of the time) and the driver (who was new) gave me a hard time because he did not know the gate code to the community. I called the owner's son, Elton (who I assume I have helped pay for his college education over the last decade), who advised me they changed their computers and apparently forgot to ask for my gate code which they previously had. Elton was arrogant and full of himself and could care less that I was a 20 yr customer. I just placed another order for delivery and was advised they would not deliver to me. Can you believe that " the arrogant son of the owner would not accept my business after 20 years".... yup! Don't bother... they don't care anymore!!

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for the past several years. This is a nice, clean little restaurant with good "standard" Chinese fare. They have Szechwan and Hunan dishes as well as the typical Chinese dishes. The service has always been excellent and the waitstaff is very pleasant and helpful. It's not a P F Changs but neither are the prices. If you want an inexpensive Chinese lunch, we highly recommend it.

Very friendly an helpful wait staff. The krab rangoon was great. Good size portions. Also, no wait to be seated. We would go back!
This is your typical Chinese restaurant. It's a stock menu that you'd find in any Chinese restaurant throughout the USA - Beef with Broccoli, General Tsao's chicken, etc. No, there are no Szechuan dishes. The owner is from Taiwan and the staff is from Malaysia so I'm just not quite sure why they decided to name it the Szechuan Chinese Restaurant! Prices are high, but that's usual for Naples. The staff is friendly, so that's one reason to choose this over other restaurants. It's a reasonable choice for takeout. Keep your expectations low and you'll be OK.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

This is my favorite Chinese-American restaurant, and for several reasons. When dining in, the staff have always been excellent. It's in a fairly quiet part of town, so I've never had to wait for a table, even during peak business hours. The restaurant is clean, quiet, and quite cozy. The waiters/waitresses are always prompt and courteous; I've never seen them without a smile on their faces. Water and noodles are always brought to the table immediately. My friend and I stopped in for lunch the day before this review; we had our order within 10 minutes of placing it, hot and well-cooked. The portions are perfectly adequate, and the prices are hard to beat. $16 for two entrées, including sides of rice, egg rolls, and your choice of soup... I'll take that over fast(er) food any day. When ordering take-out or delivery, they still give you the same service in a prompt manner; take-out is usually ready within 15 minutes or less, and delivery had always been less than 45 minutes. They also have a small bar, which is something I haven't really seen in other dine-in Chinese-American restaurants. I've yet to try it. I'm sure it's limited as to what they have, but it's better than nothing. Granted, this isn't high-class food or an authentic Chinese cuisine place, but they don't pretend to be. My review is based on what they are and what they offer - a clean, family-friendly place to enjoy well-made Chinese-American food served quickly, affordably, and with a smile.
