Felt like I had died and gone to waiting for service he**. We were fooled because they had 2 sushi chefs working and only 8 people in the restaurant. But we discovered they were working on to go orders ahead of ours. And they work very slow. The zero personality waiter forgot part of our order and had nothing to say, no apologies during our interminable wait. Never again.

Always fresh always good! Very consistent in quality. Service has always been friendly and the owners always here making the sushi.
(4)Scott K.
The sushi was great. The service started off good but at the end we felt rushed. They cleared the table and brought the check while one of us was still eating. A definite no-no!

Wanted sushi for lunch. Depended on yelp to find a place. I was a little Leary since it was so quiet inside. The waitress was very helpful our daughter has the kids crispy chicken and she loved it. She usually picks off the batter. It was awesome. Good quality chicken meat. My husband split the spicy tuna asparagus and yellow tail and jalapeño. It was so much sushi. The portions are amazing. It was very fresh and I was able to eat the leftovers for two more meals. Beowulf come back.

This is a main staple on our weekly diet! L9ve the atmosphere, friendliness, and you will not find fresher sushi!!!

Great place! I walked in once, 10 minute prior to close and they still served me well! Super cute waiter too! Ugh, I almost slid off my bar stool! five fucking stars!
(5)Sally O.
Very slow service... expect to wait at least an hour for your food. Beware they do not offer gluten free soy sauce.

Most definitely my favorite sushi place in Naples. They have adorable sushi tacos- four little "tacos" filed with excellent sashimi and such. I've never come here and ordered the same thing twice because I want to try all the rolls. I've celebrated two birthdays here and the staff was pretty amazing about serving a group of 16-20, considering the restaurant is not very large. I can't wait to treat myself and come back.
(5)Lynne H.
By far best sushi in Naples and elsewhere. I am a local and get treated very well! During season, sometimes it is hard to get in, but it is well worth the wait! Sushi one tacos and gator roll are two of my family's favorite.

So if this were a restaurant in boston, they would get 2 stars from me, but its Naples and sushi, so one extra star for the effort. I should know better than to try find decent sushi while in Florida, but I try and try anyway. Long story short, everything, and I mean everything, was pretty tasteless. Unless you cover it in spicey mayo or syracha. I'm not sure why no one here can get sushi right, but I'm guessing its due to a lack of an Asian population. Even the rice was wrong--overcooked and gummy. Yuck! The staff is friendly enough, and the decor is ok. The biggest thing they have going for them is presentation. We watched a couple of sashimi salads being prepared while waiting at the bar and they looked delicious. Thought after our meal, I'm having doubts. We had tuna and salmon sashimi-- the tuna was tasteless and tough; I was not able to adequately bite through one piece and after spending a couple seconds trying to unsuccessfully pull on one end with my fingers (while having the other in my mouth) I decided to not continue to humiliate my friend (and myself) w my table manners and just shoved the whole thing in my mouth. The salmon was ok but definitely had a fishy undertone. We ordered 5 rolls (fatty deluxe special). Nothing was memorable. One of the volcano rolls was actually just a roll of rice and some immitation crab/spicey mayo mush on top. Jesus. Carb overload much? From the photos on yelp, I was looking forward to the dynamite roll but, as I mentioned previously, totally bland and tasteless fish. The other rolls we had were covered in syracha or spicey mayo. No doubt to hide inadequacy in taste or preparation. Lastly. I'm offended by what they did to the pickled ginger. This is actually one of my favorite things about sushi--aside from the gorging on raw fish aspect. But the dry ginger shavings they plopped in front of you looked like scraps left over on the floor of the ginger factory that makes ginger for better sushi restaurants. One final thought-- it makes me so sad that locals think that this is what good sushi is. :(:(

Their spicy tuna goes un-matched. The texture and flavor of the rice is another speciality of Sushi One. I dine-in average twice/week and crave the flavors. Try the Tony the Tiger soup... Fish is fresh and consistent in flavor. I'll drink a Sapporo or two and chat with Norio and the staff in prep for a yummy meal. Thanks all! :o)

I recently stopped in and sat at my "spot" after months of staying away to send a message to the guys (owners--- locals will know). Sushi tacos, grand tenton and a Sapporo Unbelievable. These guys and the wait staff have become so entitled and not appreciative. Sushi one is no longer number one in Naples. Owners listen to Nickel Back while wearing Jorts talking about tuna.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Everything is fresh and so good. Service is great and staff is friendly. One of my favorite places for sushi. I love getting the kamikaze roll, salmon caliente, seared tuna salad, and just about everything else I've tried. Spicy tuna and hamachi are really good here too along with other nigiri options.

I have been eating sushi only for 6 months but have eaten quite a bit since I travel a lot for work . This was the second sushi place I ate at this summer traveling and I just had it again many sushi bars later. This is by far the best sushi place I Have eaten. If you order a salmon roll, there is actually salmon in it and a lot! The rolls are huge and filled with goodness. Great price for what you are getting. I highly recommend !!
(5)Gregory J.
Use to mu fav since being a local here but the treatment and service went down hill. They don't support the locals. I wont even eat in anymore, now if I oreder its takeout and they cant even get that right sometimes. They forgot to put in soy sauce in my last takeout order yikes. Sorry guys I loved you and you let me down so I go elsewhere.

Visiting Naples and had lunch by myself before picking up my friend. Delicious sushi. I'm 8 mo pregnant craving sushi so bad, so I went in for an avocado and tempura roll. Really good but slightly over priced. Nice big pieces but $20 for a shrimp tempura and an avocado roll is a little much.

Good food, Fresh.Only thing that was bothering was there is no sign that says wait to be seated as we picked a table we were told others came in beforehand and they didn't even sit there nobody sat in the seats we picked. They put us at Hightop and I don't care for those due to being short an you couldn't fit our plates on there..and I didn't like that they don't use fresh Ginger....pink ginger is not fresh...we asked if they had fresh they said no they don't carry fresh..disappointed but food is good. A little expensive for my taste.
(3)Brian S.
Check this place out! Excellent atmosphere, attentive staff. Sat at sushi bar, simple order of sashimi platter. As others reviewed, the spicy tuna very good. Nice size pieces fish, good miso soup. Definitely be back on next trip to Na
(4)Zach B.
Terrible service. Went in for a takeout order it took 45 minuets to get our food with only 20 people dining in. Disorganized staff and our waiter was rude.
(1)Michele S.
Still great after all these years :) Went in again recently and had the seafood salad which is huge and just amazing. The tuna tetaki is fabulous as well and everything is just super fresh and delicious. Will keep going back!

Stopped for lunch one day. The sushi was pretty darn good, but I could not get over the price. I know sushi isn't cheap, but I thought it was a little bit above the norm here. Their spicy tuna was top notch though, so I have to give it some props, but it definitley could not be a regular stop just due to the cost.
(3)Jearim P.
The food is excellent! The servers are very pleasant! They do take a little longer than normal! I wish they had a changing table in their bathroom they have the space and it is a family restaurant...
(4)Mike C.
Had dinner with my wife Thursday night at Sushi One. Never been before and wanted to try a new place. Sushi was very good. Had the sashimi platter. Tuna, white tuna, salmon, yellowtail all delicious. Japanese tilapia not so good. No flavor. Spicy tuna sashimi excellent. A baseball size mix of tuna, mayo, sirracha and roe. So good we ordered a second helping. Service okay, they try hard, but seem to forget to check on you. We'll go back. Very good.
(4)Chris D.
Felt like the selection of sushi was limited. Service was slow. Take the TV out, your sushi chefs need to focus on the sushi, not the baseball game.
(2)Brien S.
Another excellent meal at sushi one! I have been a fan of both chef owners for many years and never got disappointed. They create fresh dishes and use only top notch ingredients. Five stars today and five stars every other time I dine here
(5)Jason P.
Finally! Very, very good. This is my new favorite sushi spot. Everything we ordered was good. The spicy tuna was perfect. Many rolls to chose from. I will go back and I recommend this place

I have been coming to Sushi One for about a year now. I would describe sushi one normally as the sushi restaurant in naples that has the absolute best sushi, with the absolute worst service. I found out tonight exactly why this restaurant has such a terrible record. You will see in the numerous other reviews that there is a trend with sushi one when it comes to slow service. In the probably 20 times that I have been here, I can agree I have never once received food in a timely fashion. However, I've always showed up with that expectation and tolerated it because of how good the food is. Tonights service I have decided I must Yelp, and I also left a note with the staff letting them know I will not be returning again. The Chef, and I assume the owner made a unbelievable decision today. When a party of 13 entered the restaurant, he instructed his wait staff (2 people) to move an already seated party to a different table in order to make room. Both members of the wait staff refused, and I chimed in that if he were to do that to me, I would never return. He proceeded to instruct his su chef to do it, who did! I figured out that the reason this place is so slow, is because the owner hires two wait staff, and 1 additional chef not counting himself to serve a restaurant that probably holds about 100 people, and did tonight. I highly recommend against this place as of now. I feel sorry the wait staff has to be managed by someone so incompetent.

We arrived right at 5:00 when they opened and sat at the sushi bar. I ordered the Sushi One Tacos which comes with four small tacos. The first one had salmon nigiri and was the best. The second had Krab mix, while the last two were both spicy tuna. It was a nice unique appetizer that, while in no way traditional, is perhaps worth a try. We also ordered the Sashimi Salad which consists of a big bowl of salad mixed in with pieces of sashimi, broken strips of Krab, and a mildly sweet dressing reminiscent of normal Japanese ginger dressing. While we did order more food, the salad stuck out the most as it was very filling (being shared among 4 people) and was the best dish ordered in my opinion. As for the sushi, it was nothing spectacular. I could be mistaken about the quality, but the particular rolls we ordered came covered in mounds of Krab mix or drizzled with sauce, so it is hard to speak about the quality of the fish. That being said, the very Americanized and modernized sushi rolls were good in and of itself with one of our favorites containing eel and covered in a big mound of real crab meat. The service throughout our meal was pretty subpar. We got our food very promptly because we sat at the sushi bar, but as for our server, I cannot honestly say that she was very attentive. We always had to ask her for water refills and she never cleared our numerous empty plates. Another lady (waitress? Owner?) came by more than our actual server did, which saved this place from getting only 2 stars. Meal stats: Food time: we came in early and sat at the bar, so our food came out very promptly Price: ~$90 (4 people) Service: 3/5 Food: 3.5/5 Overall, I would say that Sushi One is an average sushi place with a nice surprise found in a few choice rolls, the sashimi salad, and odd sushi tacos. I would like to have tried more straight raw fish so I could give them the opportunity to get 4 stars, but I cannot make that judgement based on what we ordered. The wait staff was below mediocre and sub par, apart from the attentive older Asian lady that eventually refilled our glasses and cleared our crowded area of empty plates. In the end, I would not mind giving Sushi One another visit if I am ever in the area, but I won't make a special trip for it.

This place really deserves 5 stars for their food. My favorites, the spicy tuna, the grand tatons, the sashimi salad, the Ceviche. All greats. They've been open for some time now and they seem to be doing very well for Naples. Unfortunately there are things they just can't seem to figure out. The service always leaves something to be desired, they just get overwhelmed very easily and if it's busy, forget about it, plan to be there for a couple hours.I think this could be fixed if they would hire a couple experienced servers. Also on a Friday or Saturday nigh there is usually 3 Sushi Chef's behind the counter, but that doesn't seem to improve the speed at all. Still worth going for the food! Just go at an off time if you want a pleasant experience.

Waited an hr and a half for the volcano roll, edamame, and soft shell crab roll! Redic I would never come back... It wasn't packed at all! The waiter/waitresses were nowhere to be found either. The volcano roll was NOTHING I had before. All of the topping is cooked on top of a bed of rice? I had 1 piece and didn't like it. The waiter took it off my bill, which was nice.

Not my favorite in town, which is a shame since I've been in search of a Sushi-Thai alternative and since this fell into the same price range (if not above) I thought they could carry the weight of their $$$... but no such luck. Their menu is on the smaller side, and the set up is a little different. Instead of 20 or so different rolls just listed out they break them down into the base rolls and the optional toppings.. So there is a tuna roll, and then you can get it spicy, or crunchy, or skinny, or with other random items. There's also a selection of "popular" rolls that don't fit into this organization, but most do. So, nothing was awful. Their green salad is a good ginger dressing over a spring greens mix (no carrots or added vegs), the level of mayo and cream cheese used in the sushi tacos was a little disappointing (actually almost a crime, since I know you can super fresh seafood down here and it was completely overpowered), and the only thing that made me stop after the first piece were the tempura pieces on the crunchy tuna roll. Luckily we didn't get any of the whole rolls tempura fried, because if they treated a whole roll like they did those poor droplets of batter, I would have sent it back. It was hard to actually pinpoint if they burned the tempura batter or they were frying with a vat of oil in dire need of a changing- but it probably was a combination of both. Luckily they were an easily removable addition. And for me, the red dragon roll was very much forgettable. Atmosphere was fairly nonexistant... the artwork on the wall for sale was pretty random for a sushi joint (maybe a friend's?), and way too loud of christmas music. Service was alright. They weren't too busy, but there was an odd lag between getting our drinks and being able to order our food. Then it got a little cramped as we ordered a bunch of different things and they all came out on separate plates at the same time. if you know you're going to a small table - why not plate multiple rolls on the same platter like every other restaurant? And if the rolls were done at different times why didn't you bring something to the table during that period after our salads were cleared so we weren't just gnawing on our chopsticks? But that didn't happen, so we had to Jenga stack and awkwardly combine plates on our own... Will I return? Not until they have a lunch special better than blue fish's.
(2)Jason H.
The tacos are super good, but the sushi salad is epic!
(4)Chris F.
Excellent food, nice service. Big portion (rolls come in 8s) :)
(4)Kristine D.
Big portions for both rolls and sashimi. Came late on a Sunday and only a few other tables so service was quick. Not a swanky place and e prices are very reasonable. Escolar, yellowtail, salmon and tuna sashimi were fresh and delicious. Requested jalapeño and ponzu for the yellowtail... Yum! Rolls... Tried the crispy spicy tuna. Crisps were big for our liking but still delicious. Will return on the next naples visit.
(5)J A.
Sushi was average. The rolls i ordered were bland. I was sick for two days after eating here so I'm suspicious of the freshness. Pricey too. Not a great experience for me.
(1)Dana Z.
Best spicy tuna in town! And my kids love it too! Great fried tofu!
(5)Michael H.
Tasty food, and reasonably priced for sushi :)
(5)Sydney P.
They just did a 25-30% price increase sometime w/in the last seven days. Got a carryout order last night that was $11 more than last week. I understand that they were likely introductory prices and that now we are heading into season.....but not really worth it anymore in my opinion, or at least instead of a fun once a week meal, maybe once a month. The food is still good, however for these prices we can be a bit more picky - I really do find the rolls to have way too much rice for my liking & the carry out is a long process.
(3)Hewit H.
Was really excited to eat here after seeing the menu, but I was disappointed. The service was slow and the food mediocre compared to the price. We ordered the sushi one tacos which were ok and the dragon roll which didn't have much flavor. The fish didn't seem to be as high of quality as other sushi places in town.
(1)Tanya S.
The Tuna Salad was outstanding, The Red Dragon Roll outstanding. Shrimp tempura was fantastic. Very large portions. Tuna Tataki - was great. Tempura Tuna Sushi roll was also fantastic. Quality was excellent and fresh. Couldn't ask for better with great service, nice atmosphere. Recommend - Cant wait to go back.
