Nestled in the 3rd Ave area, this is a great location. I was dumbfounded when we walked in their at 7:30 at night with no reservation and got a great table on the porch. The setting and building suit the tropical climate perfectly - a lot of open doors, patios, porches etc with plenty of breeze and an "outdoor" feel to it. The patio on the side would be awesome to rent out for a special event... Service was pretty good...they made a strong Mojito that is for sure. The menu is everything from steaks, to fish to continental/American faire. My dad (who is from Maine) started with the clam chowder and said it is the best he has ever had from a restaurant outside of Maine. My mom had some salad thing - sort of deconstructed (hard to explain) but seemingly centered around a giant slab of blue cheese....the blue cheese was absolutely excellent. My mom, who had complained all night that she didn't want to eat anything big (she is about 90 lbs) suggested she and my dad split the meat loaf (because that isn't heavy at all right?)...it came with mashed potatoes and, while I didn't try it, it looked amazing. I ordered the torgadashi tuna....seared outside, raw inside - perfect! It came on a bed of greens and stuff - very well prepared, excellent seasoning and I was really happy with it. This is a great alternative to the inundated places on the block like Tommy Bahamas' and The Pub....overall, a great experience. I pulled the waiter aside on my way to the gents and told him to bring me the bill no matter what...at the end of the meal, he did so and despite my father's protests, which I had prepared him for, the waiter followed my instructions to the letter and ensured I was the one to pay. The bill was about $150 for two appetizers, 2 cocktails, 3 glasses of wine and two main courses (one split) which I felt was very fair given the caliber of venue, food, service and location.

Ridgeway hosted my son's wedding reception and we couldn't be more satisfied. The food, the staff and the atmosphere were terrific. The snapper piccata was particularly delicious. Sukie and her team delivered big time! We highly recommend the Ridgeway Bar and Grill.

I dined here last Friday with family and loved every minute of it! The actual restaurant is gorgeous and HUGE...there is a dining room, a full bar area, a wine cellar, sunroom, patio in front, patio on the side. I mean this joint has no shortage of seats which was great for my fam of 7. We were seated right away in the sunroom by our request so those who wanted sun could enjoy, and those who wanted shade could enjoy. It was perfect:) I was a little weary of the menu at first because it appeared a little fancy pants but turns out everyone found something they were able to enjoy...even the children. Most of the adults went with the fish sandwich. I had the pleasure to try this and the fish was delectable. It was very light and the crispy breading wasn't too heavy. It was served with a delicious creamy tarter-type sauce on the side. Yum yum yum. For my meal, I went with the fish tacos. WOW! Some of the best I've ever had to be honest. They were served with a mango salsa which gave the already flavorful tacos...can you guess it... more flavor! I didn't think it was possible, trust me. My only hang up was that the tacos were a bit small and did not come with any sides. They could definitely stand to serve another, and make it an order of 3, instead of 2. The kids menu was pretty extensive which included traditional kid-fare such as pizza, macaroni, pasta, chicken fingers, fish sticks, etc. Trust me, every child that enters Ridgeway will most definitely find something to satisfy their unevolved palettes. All in all The Ridgeway Bar and Grill is a fabulous lunch spot, a must-eat-at in Naples. I will say it is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food and the ambiance is well worth the extra cash-ola. With lunch being this good, I would love to see what their dinner menu has to offer. I'll have to add it to the list next time I am visiting the area. :)

A big disappointment. Came here with wife on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately we both ordered the same entree so this review is based on the same regular menu item. We ordered the coq au vin. Ugh! One of my French bistros favorites was the worst I have ever had. It had no taste. The carrots were hard as rocks, very few onions, tough chicken in a very watery broth. We did have two different appetizers. My wife had a Caesar salad that she did not like. It was made with a vinaigrette dressing instead of the traditional Caesar dressing, I lucked out and had pork belly, they were outstanding. My wife tried to do a trade salad for pork. No deal, I did share however. On a happy note the service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant.

This was my first visit to Ridgway. I met a friend there for dinner after work. Our server Justin was very pleasant and helpful to us as we made our choices from a wonderful array of menu options. At his recommendation I started with the Florida Breeze cocktail, which was delicious, light and refreshing - perfect for an August night in Naples. For my entrée I enjoyed the rich and delectable Snapper Piccata and my friend savored the Florida Pink Shrimp, along with a couple of glasses of a wonderful Chardonnay. We sat there taking pleasure in our food and wine for good bit out on the enclosed patio, where the temperature was cool but we still had a lovely view of the garden. Ridgway is my new favorite place, I can't wait to go back.

The food was good and the waitress was ok. Nothing outstanding about this place. Now, which one is the hostess and where is she? I walked in to no one attending, there was a girl seating down and another eating, both employees. We had to ask for service. Seemed like the girl eating was on the clock, which doesn't look good, because she continued working right after eating. Other customers walked in not knowing what to do or where to go because there was no one at the hostess place and no one even acknowledging their presence. Due to the location, I think they should do a little extra to attract customers. No wonder it was so empty compared to other places. Nothing outstanding about this place. Even the hidden, alley restaurant had more people than this place. Would not recommend, would not come back. Got a 2 because the food was good. Hard, cold butter was served on a very cold plate.

This was recommended to us by some locals. Great call, we had an excellent experience with great service and an extensive menu to satisfy more patrons. Selections from casual to exotic are on the menu as well as a good wine selection. Try this place, you will not be sorry!

Excellent. Went to dinner visiting grandparents. No draft beer but good selection of craft. Good appetizer. And fresh bread. Highlight was the fish. Blackened grouper was excellent. Side of ratatouille was great as well. Desert was apple tart. Perfect end to meal. Prompt service.

We dined this evening and were extremely disappointed. I do not eat red meat. We have been here before and I was able to substitute items on the vegetable entree. Tonight the waitress would not subsitite anything. She actually said we make no substitutions. Never informed us of the chefs specials. We had to ask for refills on our beverages. It cost us close to $80 fly husband had a burger and fires amd 1 coke ( no refills on soda at $3.75 a pop) I had side of ratatouille and oven roasted fingerling potatoes (which were ice cole as if they came out of the fridge) and a cup of tomato soup. The waitress was unfriendly and rude. The food was marginal at best.there are so many better optionsin Naples. The only plus is outdoor dining.

Possibly...no probably.....no definitely the worst mixed drinks to be had anywhere in Naples.

  • Kai L.

We loved our delicious dinner on the patio. The seafood we ordered (Pan Seared Grouper & Shrimp, and Yellowtail Snapper Piccata) was exceptional. We hope to return someday to try more dishes. Thanks to Chef Tony for checking with us at the start of our meal to make sure everything was perfect!

  • Jocey R.

Food is really tasty! Highly recommend the calamari, roast beef and pastrami reuben. Very friendly service, nice place to eat indoors with a very nice patio area for casual dining if you are coming off the beach. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because its a bit pricey. $16 for an 8oz burger and fries seems a but much for my taste. Would give it a 4.5 stars if I could!

  • Jamal F.

Touch expensive but overall good. The service was entertaining Our meal was dampened by a homeless man who constantly came to our table. He left without paying his bill and our waiter tried to find him which took the waiter away from the room for about 20 minutes and left us with no service.

  • Kim W.

We had a reservation inside for lunch bringing friends who had just arrived in Naples. It was such a beautiful day, we asked to sit on the patio instead. Service was great and employee attitudes were so positive. The food was great as well. We will definitely return!

  • Laura A.

Great food, we sat on the courtyard patio dining. We had a very friendly waitress, she was very good, while not only waiting all the tables on the patio was also tending the bar. Usually when people are giving too much task they slack somewhere. She was very good. The food was great, we had lobster chowder was great, not too heavy and loaded with meat. The white beach chili was very tasty as well, although for the price they gave you a very small portion. Then we all got a pasta dish for dinner, although the waitress did not know if it was homemade pasta or not, it was delicious and very filling. Drinks were a little pricey for well drinks, but you get what you pay for and it was a perfect night outside in Naples Florida, so we couldn't complain too much. Compared to other restaurants on 3rd Street and 5th Ave, we walked right up and sat down, we tried 6 other restaurants and all had over an hour wait for party of 4 on a Saturday night.

  • Jeri B.

Menu doesn't provide much for people that don't like fish. Prices are way too high. A cup of coffee was $9. Ate on the outdoor patio (not covered). Look out for insects.

  • Diane S.

Nice restaurant - expensive. Great food of course because you can't survive in Naples without something great to offer - there are too many choices for people - you have to draw them and keep them. Everything I ate here was good. The steak was exceptional, the salads good, I should have written the review a little closer tot he time I dined because I don't really remember any details, except that the waiter had a problem with me switching out salmon for grouper in one combo plate, I don't like salmon. But when he came back and said the chef had no problem with this, he seemed relieved. Odd. Good food, but very expensive.

This place is Olde Naples at its best. But it is old in need of a redo. I had The Chicken Pot Pie and it was excellent, and my partner had The Bell and Evans Chicken,he loved it. The server could of used a side of "friendliness",but he was okay. We received the bill, and I was surprised that Ridgeway added an 18% gratuity. I told my waiter that I would have left a bigger tip,if he had not totaled it up. He said nothing to us,as if he was put out that we were even dining there. My partner said everyone has issues, but I say,he should have stayed home!

If you are gay, stay away! Didn't even sit down at the empty bar before the two bartenders tried to have the other wait on us. I believe one said "uh, that one is yours." The other, "nope. All you." Too many other places, like HobNob that deserve your dollar.

We had a delicious dinner at Ridgway. Pricey, but the food and service were great. Our waiter was Kevin he was very nice, very professional. The Florida shrimp with grits was delicious. All in all, a very enjoyable meal! We will return!

  • Jamie R.

Consistency. I always thoroughly enjoy this place. Tonight it was a timbale of diced avocado sitting in a spiced tomato coulee, and supporting white lump crab. Omy, I hated to deconstruct! A split of chilled Prosecco was the perfect foil for the rest of the meal. A plank of sirloin. A triangular filet of mahi mahi. A good culinary time was had by all. The enclosed garden room is my favorite. The lighting is filtered sun, and there's a view of the street.

Genre for rating: American/French, upscale casual One of my top three overall restaurants in the area, Ridgway never disappoints me. I have known Sukie and Tony for a while now, and the food does not just remain fantastic, but it seems to get better. Creative menu options done to their finest, quality wine options, and a cozy ambience. One of the very few restaurants in the area that combine food tastes optimally, and no taste overpowers the next. I have also hosted a number of corporate events here over the years, all of which have been fantastic. Tony is a culinary genius, and Naples is truly lucky to have both him and Sukie. Food: ***** Service: ***** Atmosphere: *****

We had a large dinner party, so I was unable to get a full view of what they had to offer. Off of our selected menu, I choose the Caesar Salad for my app, which was very fresh tasting and colorful. However they it 2 disgusting anchovies on top. Gaaaaagggg. I then chose a center cut of new York strip steak. it was a huuuge cut. Cooked perfect but not the best steak ive had. Then for desert I chose the Chocolate moose cake. I high recommend that. Overall I must say I was not impressed, but not disappointed. Very nice ambience and very clean, food was good not great but where they lost my stars was the service. They had a younger girl, prob about 23,24 as one of our servers and she was unknowable about the food and drinks. She acted like we were speaking Chinese. I would pass on Ridgeways a second time. Sorry

The food here was delicious. We had a chance to meet and talk with Tony Ridgeway. We sat outside and it was cool, however there was a spaceheater behind us that kept us warm. My husband had the meatloaf and said it was better than mine and I make a great meatloaf. I had the Bolognese and yes, it was some of the best I ever had. Our waiter was refeshing. The service was great. One of the best restaurants in the city of Naples.

Ah the Naples food experience yet again. Here is a typical high priced average restaurant. It looks like all the blue blood wanna be's and the blues are dinning here. We each had the roasted mussels and they were great but at $17.00 it was a small dish for the price. I had the grilled Grouper, served with a cold mango salsa $33.00. The dish came out cold and the server didn't come back until I was 3/4 the way through the meal. My companion had the Snapper house special and was pleased with their meal. We shared a carrot cake that was commercial in taste but very large, I have had much better then this. Our dinner with tip came to $298.00 including a bottle of wine and after dinner drinks. This is no deal and I would probably not come back.

The food was very nice here--fresh and local items filled the menu. Very appealing curbside, and very delicious food. The maître d' was a tad overboard on the snooty side, but the waitstaff and servers were very helpful and very down to earth. Would definitely go again. I had to laugh at the other poster's comment about pretentious. We sat next to two 21st century versions of Alexis Carrington. These old broads could probably pay the bill for ObamaCare with their Amex Black cards. You gotta love Florida!

We've eaten at Ridgway maybe 20 times over the last few years. Tony and Sukie are two of the most professional restauranteurs I've met. I like it because they offer a wider variety of food and price range than many restaurants in Naples, it has a LOT of seating so you usually can get in when the other restaurants on 3rd are full; it has indoor, outdoor or patio (covered outdoor) seating so you can go with whatever you feel like; and the food is good. It's not my number one restaurant in Naples but it's in the top 10. I said that the attire was "dressy". To me that means that beach attire would probably be out of place here. Try the Coq au Vin.

Firstly, the outdoor Garden area is beautiful for evening dining with lights strung in trees and heat lamps available for guest's comfort. The patio area is equally beautiful and is reminiscent of century-lost charm. The restaurant is quaint and is located near a number of boutiques, so it makes a nice evening in Naples if you shop before or after eating. However, the food is disappointing. I knew there was a risk before I went. The menu was so lengthy (I checked it out early) that I speculated that the restaurant was probably not good at making any one special dish, but was probably good at making a lot of mediocre dishes. Yet, I still tried it. I realize that there is a markup for food in ritzy areas, and I take that into account when writing the review. This review is about quality for price. It cost our party of six $700 for two chicken dishes, two vegetable plates, a spaghetti, and tuna. Yes, there was wine involved. But, as a family, we order wine often, so the sticker shock resulted from the mediocre food. For $26, the vegetable plate came with (1) half a small onion from a sack you find at the grocery store. It was just halved and grilled for a few minutes without seasoning. It was crisp and whatever the chef's aim (being modern?) was lost on me. The plate also came with (2) unseasoned, blanched green beans. That's it. I can make them taste better at home, and there is a lot that one can do with green beans. The plate was accompanied with (3) two thin strips of (again) unseasoned eggplant that was tough and probably not quite cooked through. And finally, (4) a goat cheese tart that had barely any goat cheese. The entire concept of the meal was lost on me. I've ordered vegetable platters elsewhere and I didn't think this combination or technique worked. My dinner guests had little else to add except that they all believed that they probably ordered the wrong menu item since nothing stood out.

The menu is varied and interesting. The florida pink shrimp with sweet corn grits and fried green tomatoes were fantastic. We were late in the season, but sat outdoors comfortably. The service was prompt and friendly. I would happily return, we had a wonderful experience.

We went there b/c we had a BOGO coupon from a local newspaper. The entire meal was disapointing. We had grouper & crab cake. The coleslaw was mushy and heavy on the mayo, I asked for fruit instead, and they served me a moldy fruit plate! For the price point, it is a total rip off!

I was first introduced to Cafe Breve at The Ridgway Bar & Grill aka Tony's Off Third and what a heavenly concoction! A cappucino made with heavy cream!!! Yum! Absolutely devine. The croissant and muffin were only so-so, but who cares? The cafe breve more than made up for it. There is a delightful palazzo-style patio area to enjoy your food where locals and tourists alike hang out. Very enjoyable.

The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
