Pleasantly surprised. The majority of the reviews here are very positive. There is a reason for that; it is a great place to eat. The place looks like a dump on the outside. However, when you enter inside it is rather festive. The chairs inside are well let us say unusual. Oh, they are fine to sit in, but the design/painting is fun to look at ... The Food: Excellent for Tex-Mex We ordered a large cheese dip. It was enough for two, people. After your 3/4 chip you will taste a slight spicy zing to it. It was great. Spouse had a burrito/enchilada combo. The portion was huge. She did not finish the burrito. She did not care that much for the hamburger meat. My meal was spectacular: Steak Fajitas. The steak was good quality and it covered the entire very hot iron skillet. i.e. There was a lot of meat. The rest of the vegetables in the skillet were cooked just right. This may have been enough for two. This is a great Resturant. Enjoy. PS: we have been back to this Resturant numerous times. I would rate it at 5 stars, but for one incident. One one occasion only they had my order wrong. I sent it back and they recooked it. However, the meat portion on the reorder was less than their normal portioning. This is not as bad as it may initially sound, because their portions are normally over the top huge. However, since on this one occasion it wasn't - I deducted one star. They also only supply 3 taco sized tortillas with their fajitas. There is no way one can eat their fajitas with only the 3 tortillas. I would say it takes at least 6. They charge an additional $1.50 per set of 3 taco sized tortillas. The meal was still excellent.

Totally disappointed!!!!! Margaritas were absolutely the worst thing I have ever had! Tasted like bad Orange juice!!! And the menu claimed they were the best margaritas in town! I would hate to try the competition if that's a true statement!! The service was so bad!! I saw our server twice, once to take our order and once to pick up the bill!! A complete disappointment!

The moment my family and I entered the restaurant, I feared that I had chosen the wrong location. We were looking for a place to celebrate a birthday and had spontaneously chosen this place to satisfy our craving for Mexican food. However, upon entering the restaurant we noticed that we were, in fact, the only patrons. That couldn't be a good sign, could it? At this point, I felt it was too late to back down, as I had been the deciding vote for the location. We all sat down at a booth and the waiter quickly brought us the typical chips and salsa. I ordered chicken enchiladas while one member of my part daringly ordered some strange concoction of crabs mixed with various meat. I paired my meal with a sangria (and later a strawberry margarita.) The chicken enchiladas tasted authentic. Which really took me by surprise given the city we were in. Unfortunately, my sangria was not as enjoyable. It tasted severely watered down. My margarita, however, was lovely and more than made up for my disappointing experience with the sangria. I tried a little bit of the crab from the plate of one of my dining companions and thought that, while it tasted good, it seems a tad bit salty. Don't fill up too much on the chips and salsa, skip the sangria, and you should have a good experience!

If you have never been here before, come on Tuesday for $1 tacos. They have beef or shredded chicken and they are packed with meat, cheese and lettuce. Excellent!

Great cheese dip! My boyfriend got the steak burrito and thought it was amazing! Awesome drinks too!

I am a Mexican food lover, and this place definitely hit the spot!! I had a "Sangrona" (Sangria, frozen Margarita, & a Coronita) and it was great. I had the enchiladas en salsa verde with chicken, and my two friends had the same, one with shrimp and one with beef. They were a bit dry, so we had to ask for more salsa verde. Other than that, no complaints. The rice was phenomenally flavorful and the beans were excellent. We were very happy with our dishes and our drinks! My daughter, who is a picky eater, tore up her bean and cheese burrito and considered getting a second. I definitely recommend this place!! One of the waitresses was a bit rude, so that's why they lost a star.

While visiting Naples we had seen this restaurant in Yelp and decided to give it s try! We were pleasantly surprised! Salsa and chips were great. They had jarritos which is a muero a Mexican soda we like. For lunch we had chicken quesadillas and a Steak burrito salsas were great and the Mexican refried bean were delicious! Very authentic food.

Food decent for price. Most Mexican places in Florida are generic. No exception here. Unfortunately the waiter was awful. Truly poor service. Had to beg for more water.

I love Mexican food! This place was recommended to us by a local and for the price it was not a bad deal at all. The portions were a large size. I guess the food was as authentic as you can get in Naples, FL. We ordered the queso app and they naturally brought us some salsa and chips. The salsa was served in a bowl but they also gave you a side where you could keep filling up the bowl. This was great since we were a party of four and a small bowl was not enough. I ordered chicken and shrimp with re-fried beans and rice. It also came with some tortillas. This was convenient b/c I ended up making my own soft tacos. Each of the guests I was with enjoyed their plates as well. The restaurant has it's own parking and it located on a main road near hotels.

Absolutely fantastic! Great authentic Mexican restaurant. We stopped here by chance and absolutely loved it. The prices are fair and the food is delicious. Great friendly personnel. Will eat there again. The place looked a bit lonely from the outside, but is worth the stop.

Service was extremely slow. They messed up my order then pressured me into taking the messed up order. The tequila wasn't all that strong either. Would not return.

Looking at the previous reviews I thought I would try this restaurant. I was seated quickly and my server came quickly with chips and salsa. The chips were unsalted and very bland. The salsa was ok but I have had better. I order a margarita on the rocks and it was brought to May table in less than a minute. The drink was obviously made and was very flat with no taste of a sour mix. I then ordered the fajita mix with chicken, steak and shrimp. In no time it arrived. The fajitas had no seasoning. It tasted as if everything was grilled and put on the hot plate and served. In reading the other posts I hope this was just a bad experience. If not I won't be returning.

We have been coming to Naples every summer for the past 23 years. This year we decided to venture out to find a Mexican Restaurant. We stay at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club every year and one of the staff recommended this place. We looked at all the wonderful reviews and decided to take a chance. What a great experience. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was great and atmosphere was perfect. Great authentic Mexican food and incredible margaritas!! Highly highly recommend!! We will be back next year for sure!!

This place was so good I was tempted to eat there twice while in Naples. Good atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. I had the Tacos Michoacanos with pork, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I was also greeted with chips and salsa almost the very instant I sat down. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's definitely a hidden gem. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

I just returned from another trip to Naples and of course my first night I stopped in for a great meal. I love the fact that they are so accommodating with my special food requirement. It is never a problem for them and the food is fabulous. Without a doubt every trip to Naples includes the Restaurant. I have plans on spending time in Naples for a mini vacation and on the itinerary is Mr. Tequila...

It looks like a dive on the outside, but don't let that fool you. Festive atmosphere with good Mexican food. Chips and salsa served as you are seated. Order the queso! They have american food for picky kids. The portions are large and the price is reasonable. The chicken quesadilla was perfection and my husband lived the steak fajita salad. The margaritas are huge; get the Texas gold. Will definitely go back.

Best Mexican food in Naples! I work internationally and when guests from Mexico come to town, this is where they go for Mexican food. Seafood soup, tamales, chile tells I and carnitas tacos are all really good. They do make a nice margarita as well.

    (4)
  • Burke S.

Solid Mexican food and great service. Chips and salsa is brought IMMEDIATELY. The margaritas are fish bowls; get the medium unless you want to share. Entrees are good. I got a chicken quesadilla with an enchilada and they were spot on. Get the guacamole for the chips and entree, it's divine. Went during Mexico's World Cup game so everyone was glued to the tv, but still had great service!

I have been coming here at least once a month for the past 3 years! There service is great and I love the portion size for the price. On Wednesday I finally ordered the texas margarita. It was awsome! Great place.

On vacation and found this place on Yelp! It is so good. We were worried bc my sister is a vegetarian and loves Mexican and she LOVED it. We were a large party and thy easily accommodated us. We will be back next year when we come back!

I think tex-mex would be more accurate, but it does not meet any standard for good food in any place within the known universe that I know. Perhaps the drinks are good. Perhaps the prices are good for the drinks. Perhaps everything tastes better with a round or two in you. I don't know. I just ordered food. Two at our table got platters which are enormous and great is you like that kind of thing, but it's all sub-par. One had the texture of dog food. The other was not much better. Rice was overcooked and bland. Beans were undistinguished. I had the seafood cocktail in which some of the shrimp tasted off. The tomato bath it came in was overly sweet, lacked balance and came from a can. I've seen some raves about the chips and salsa. Oh my gosh, this is wrong. The chips come warm but stale in flavor. Also, they are tri-colored. This is like a Jedi-mind trick to make you think they're good. They're not. Salsa is made with canned tomatoes but the level of acid is good. The sauces used to smother the platters is also made canned, which wouldn't be so bad, but there is no judicious use of chiles or aromatics or even discernible spice to take the flavors beyond monotone. The one bright spot: service. Hostess and our waitress were impeccable. The Yelp rating really does not reflect reality. This place is either a black hole of truthfulness or active Napolites don't know Mex. I could believe either.

My wife and I are just visiting for the week, and we read the very good reviews of this restaurant. It doesn't look like much outside, but the food was great - authentic Mexican, service was outstanding (Carolina was so nice) and we had the best frozen strawberry margarita's ever. Menu is huge and overwhelming. Great, colorful atmosphere. We'd definitely go back. Check it out!

Good food and reasonable prices. Only beef is there was no cheese on my tacos so I asked for some and some sour cream. They charged me for both.

  • J M K.

Good service, authentic Mexican food (I lived 5 miles from the border of Mexico and had plenty of real Mexican in my day). Don't eat too many of those free chips & salsa, as the serving sizes are big and you'll want to have room for your entree'. I usually don't care for the t.v.s on the walls, but NCAA BB was on, so we watched.

  • David J.

Fast service. Good and hot food. Reasonable prices so/so for the quality. Beer kegs need to be turned way cooler. Like most Mexican food, it's slightly different versions of the same thing. If you can get in for a water and a lunch special, it's a no brainer. Quick service. Won't leave you doubled over or running for the head An open kitchen, colder beer and something more than one 42 inch cheap tv in the lounge would help. But for $15 a head with tip---- sans booze. It's a good deal

Dont listen to the haters and Snowbirds. This place delivers. Myself 30 years in business. It is what they claim to be. Good service. Over the top margarita's, check out the one with the pony corona upside down. U will b happy unless already disgrunted.

Best Mexican I've ever had. They started me out with chips and salsa. The salsa was the right consistency. It wasn't runny and it wasn't pico which can be too chuncky. It was just right. After my buddy showed up, I ordered the Mojocelete. I hope that is spelled correct. Any ways it has jumbo shrimp, pork, beef, and chicken in this awesome sauce. Everything was perfectly spiced and just the right amount of cheese. Other place go crazy with the cheese, blah! It's was just down the block from my hotel, I might go back tonight. ****UPDATE****** I did come back. This time I had the Alambre. VERY GOOD! YUM. Oh and this time I saved my tummy for the Flan. It was sweet.

This might be the most incoherent review I ever post on Yelp. I decided to check out this place after reading all the positive reviews, which actually seem to be for another Mr. Tequila location. I haven't had Mexican food in a while, so I figure this would be a great occasion and I am determined to order a Margarita with my meal. I walk in, get a table. They bring a basket of delicious chips with great salsa. At the table on the right an elderly couple is having Margaritas, his is larger that hers. On the menu it says that they have a Small, a Medium and a Large. I order the Large, figuring that's the size the old guy is having. The waitress brings an enormous glass, probably twice the size of the older guy's. I try it and it tastes amazing! A really hot woman with a tatoo on her arm walks in with a date and takes a table to the left of me. After a few more sips of my Margarita I realize that I am totally hammered. One thing I can promise you: they don't skimp on Tequila in this place! Hence the name of the restaurant is completely justified! They bring the food; Pico de Gallo, which is one of the sides, is very spicy. The food is good, I easily clean my plate. From the corner of my eye I see that the hot woman ordered the same size humongous Margarita and she is sharing it with her date. I am done with my food and I return to my chips, which are truly delicious. The waitress removes my plate and she is kind enough to leave the chips and the salsa. She asks me if I am ready for the check and I say yes, feeling insanely jealous of the hot woman's date. I have a feeling he's going to get that tonight - lucky bastard. Fortunately I have someone with me to drive us to the hotel.

I have to say that we were thoroughly unimpressed with this place. The fajitas were very bland and had no flavor. My wife had the chimichanga and she said the same thing. We will not be back.

  • Kymie C.

Overrated. My husband thought this was some of the worst Mexican food he has had. We both got the enchiladas rancheros. Big pile of mush, really. We both found the meat to be flavorless and the ranchero sauce lacked any spice whatsoever. Edible, but not what I'd call tasty and I've eaten a LOT of Mexican food. Waitress looked like she was miserable. Margaritas are good. Atmosphere is lively and decor cute and colorful.

I loved it, you know you're at a good Mexican restaurant when there's Mexican people eating here. The Mr. Tequila Bistec was delicious, the chips and salsa awesome. The Gradosa Margarita is never ending. I'll be back for sure.

Love this place! It's convenient for us coming from work to head over for mexican! Best mexican food in naples! Amazing warm chips come out first with delicious salsa ! Love that you get your own personal salsa cup! Great for double dipping !! They have amaZing queso fundido for an app! I don't think you can go wrong here! Their margaritas are good as well! I have yet to order something I wasn't happy with! Definitely recommend!

Awesome food! Some of the best I've had in a long time. However, the chicken was slightly dry and the guacamole came very chunky so we had to mash it up ourselves. Service was a tad slow but all things considered it was very busy and it was a Saturday night. I recommend it for good Mexican food for sure.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. Had the molcajete and was very unique and good. Just wished it came with more salad/rice/guacamole/tomatoes; basically toppings for your tacos. Would def recommend.

Unpretentious and comfortable. Portions are hearty, even by American standards, and their guacamole is downright excellent.

Another place that I've been driving by for a year now but decided to give it a shot on a whim. Typical americanized mexican place with festive decor, large margaritas and large draft beers on tap. Service was fast and efficient as is typical in these types of places. All you have to do is look at the picture of my dish that I ate to see my main reason for writing this review. I forget what it was even called, but it was chicken, steak, shrimp, onions, bacon, cactus all served in a boiling pot of saucy goodness. They told me to just scoop it out on a tortilla and garnish with whatever I desired. It was an awesome dish and very unique. Fun place, good prices, great food...

Love eating here. I get "el combo" every time. It is 3 plates worth of food for 14.99. I have been here several times with large groups and they always accommodate us. They are never busy at lunch so it is also a good place to stop in during the week.

I just read all the reviews and boy am I confused. I think I went to another Mr. Tequila's restaurant. About the only thing I can agree with is that the margaritas are good. The nachos were not that great. They plated up nicely when they were served and we were so hungry we started eating them. Quite blah tasting but we were hungry and kept eating them until we reached the bottom layer. The nachos were sort of floating in this watery cheesy mixture that I have never experienced before with a plate of nachos. Usually you find crusted cheese at the bottom of the plate that you try to get onto your nacho. I had to have another margarita to get that image out of my head before the rest of the meal was served. I guess I should have suspected a Mexican restaurant named Mr. Tequila would not produce anything near Mexican or tex/mex food. But even this Americanized version missed the mark big time. We should have made a run for the border and hit Taco Bell. I gave it a star for the margaritas.

The server was not friendly so our order stopped with a Margarita and a beer. I asked for non-salt, but I got a lot of salt on my drink which ruined the taste for me. At least the chips were free. Never again!

second visit next to the toilet again. wtf the awesome aroma of the bathroom .the place stinks .i only came back for the margarita. they must have not liked me because off to the back I went next to the toilet .the food is not all that great if you do go sit at the bar.it doesn't smell. we spent $100 dollars for food wow. this is a tourist trap. the place looks sketchy outside.

I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. We went their for lunch while visiting Naples and we wanted to eat their every day, lol. Their chips are nice and warm and their homemade salsa had just the right amount of spice. I got some shredded chicken nachos and oh my God, that chicken was AMAZING, nicely charred with pico de gallo, cheese, and guacamole. You've gotta try it!

I had lunch there with my sister and my husband for happy hour. My sister and I ordered house margaritas on the rocks and my husband a Dos Equis beer. The margaritas could have been better but still tasted okay, worth the happy hour price. I think it's ridiculous to charge extra for a blended drink, but I also enjoy it on the rocks. The full bar was well stocked, as my sister wanted to buy some Patron shots for our margaritas that were not strong enough, probably watered down for happy hour. I don't recall the actual name, but my meal was delicious - a sort of fajita quesadilla, with incredible onions and peppers inside the chicken and cheese quesadilla, with guacamole salad and a side of rice and beans. Not a fan of the yellow rice, but the refried beans were incredible. We will definitely be coming back.

Love this place! Its nice, unique, clean, and of course the food is great! Lunch specials are a great deal and service is right on. Drinks look pricey but they are definitely worth it. Overall you get the most for your money. Definitely will become a regular guest.

Walked in as this restaurant was steps away from our Courtyard Marriott on US 41... Friday night, about 8pm...They were business, but, super nice and we were seated right away... Our drinks and appetizers were great...Marquiritas and Guac... Dinner was enjoyed by all...My friend asked for a special taco combo...pollo and chorizo...They not only accommodated, but, made a delicious platter for him... Desserts were good as well... Prices were more than reasonable for the amount of food!!

My wife and I had Dinner there last night ! We don't recommend it.....the two meals we had were very bland....my wife had Pork Fajitas and it was fairly tasteless, which is unusual for sizzling pork....I had a combo dish which was o k but far from good....when we got home i didn't feel my best so I went to bed ......in the middle of the night my wife had to Throw up before she began to feel better.....we enjoy Mexican food all the time and cant remember having such a negative reaction......we recommend Senor Tequila's on 951...the Margarita's are made fresh and we have never had a Bad meal there !

We went there a couple weeks ago while visiting Naples. We got there late in the evening on a week day: in spite of all that we got great service and the food was outstanding! I wasn't in the mood for a full dinner and got the Sante Fe Nachos form the appetizer list. I was expecting the same old giant pile of nachos with a littl emat you normally get, but I was immediately suprised when a smaller plate came. The shredded chicken was incredibly most, the cheese queso was just enough and soo good, quacamole divine and chips light and fresh. I don't remember what my companion got but he is an avid mexican food fan and loved his too. Our server was great, very attentive without being bothersome. I really like the food, the service and the eclectic fun decor. It's a favorite of mine when in Naples!

Ok. I was skeptical coming from AZ! But seriously I had the organic margarita, and it was the best I've ever had my husband and I split the molcajete and it was superb to what we get in Mexico! We need to try more on the menu.

I stopped by Mr. Tequila while visiting. The servers are friendly and helped my parents with choosing their options. There are a few different house-made hot sauces and the portion sizes are solid. I enjoyed the margaritas and the food was great. Will come back when in town

This restaurant has our favorite chips and salsa of all Mexican restaurants. The menu has a lot of offerings. Our favorite dishes are fajitas, la bandera, and chile rellenos. The food is very reasonable priced and it is a great place to bring a large family or group. Servers do a great job of bringing food out quickly and hot and keeping drinks filled. Portions are very large, always have leftovers which are great the next day. One of our favorite restaurants in Naples.

First visit here was a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend & a mutual friend. Server was very quick to greet & get a drink order. We ordered shortly after and were brought chips & salsa- delicious by the way! We all ordered combos ($11.99/ea)... we only waited about 15 minutes for the food- so quick! I got the enchilada/tamale combo with rice & refried beans- it was so good! I would recommend Mr. Tequila Mexican Restaurant to anyone looking for good, Mexican food in Naples!

The food was excellent! Fast service, had our chips and salsa the minute we sat down. The servers were great! Couldn't find anything wrong with this place. It was the only place we ate at twice, while we were visiting Naples.

Not returning unless I buy some stilts. What does an amusement park ride have in common with this place? Sit on any booth, your feet will dangle, add some happy hour 4-6pm drinks to jump start your ride. More whinning: My hubby is 6'2" and we gave up moving booth to booth, even he couldn't touch the floor sitting, (No, he does have legs). Salsa is home made but kinda thin and runny. Combos for $9.99 do not come with anything else and a side of beans was $2.50 Positives: spinach (fresh) and cheese enchiladas, flan, thin chips, service, 2 for 1 coupons by text and online, just google. Nice atmosphere for a date but sit at a table unless you want your feet falling asleep.

The medium marguerita was plenty - we ordered fajitas which were delicious but too much food - we will order the fajitas for 2 the next time.

Used to come w/ the misses a while ago, good beer prices & the chilli rellenos were awesome... not a great bar crowd & as menu prices rose, quality of food dropped... we went on our merry way. Don't see many cars there whenever we drive by so I figured it would be closed soon. Came here w/ my brother's kids because I figured vacation = good times & the kids should see the sizzle of a fajita platter!! along w/ a cooly decorated mexican restaurant. Service was nice, cheese dip good, steak fajitas horrible like zapato leather, taco & quesadilla combo plate no bueno, nice refried beans... the kids only liked the beans, & sadly, so did I... 3 ice teas, a fajita plate, cheese dip, & a combo platter all for $50, 2 kids & an adult sharing crappy mexican food... not a great time, the place looks great (kids didn't care) but the food seems to have gone even farther downhill. But the joint was shockingly full by the time we left, so what do I know?

Quick service. Attentive. Excellent food. Nice, clean atmosphere. Overall very good. Had the enchiladas, chicken tacos, and chicken burritos. Huge portions and tasty.

This is the kind of place Iguana Mia wishes it was. Nice decor, delicious fresh food, tasty margaritas and fast service. I have no complaints. My favorite so far is the chicken soup.

Had dinner here with another couple. We all agreed it was not good! Three people had enchiladas. They both said there was not much flavor. I had the queso with chorizo sausage. It came with flour tortillas. The queso was just a blob of melted cheese with some sausage crumbled on top. It was not a typical cheese "dip". Very disappointing and again, no flavor. The margaritas came out of a machine and tasted like they were made from a mix. With all of the good authentic Mexican restaurants in this area, I would not go back here.

One of our favorite local places. Great food, great service, great prices. The chimichangas are fantastic. The margaritas are delicious. Personally, I love the runny salsa that everyone complains about. Also, I'm not sure why everyone complains about the tall booths. First, everyone I saw was clearly touching the floor (including me and I'm a shorty). Second, man up and GTF over it; you're there to eat, not test furniture.

Food and service was great, some of the best Carne Asada I've ever had - drinks were also very good, happy hour was very good!

Welcome to Mr. Tequila, their food may not be great (it's not inedible) but by god is their beer cheap and is their service friendly. Shame on me for doing the a-hole thing and arriving about half an hour before close, but they were more than accommodating and happy to serve me. The price was right for an ala carte burrito ($5.25 for something called a super burrito) and the quality was probably worthy of a price range a dollar less than that. The tortilla was fine but the guac and the cheese was a little on the low-rent side, but it sat fine and coated my belly, alls well that ends well, yes? The beer is probably the piece-de-la-resistance here, at ~$5/giant mug you're going to be appreciating that food more and more as the night goes on. Buenos Estardes Senor Tequila!

So foul. Went here with a large party. The food was sloppy and disgusting. Everything seemed to come from a can. Don't eat here if you have tastebuds. Not to mention the service was awful. However, it does have a nice size bar. So, if you're going to meet friends just for a drink, you'd probably be safe.

Love this place! The food, the service, it's always top notch. Prices are reasonable as well! Best vegetarian burrito and I'm not even a vegetarian! Guacamole is always fresh and salsa and chips are always refilled as soon as they are empty. Margaritas come in three sizes too. They even offer a skinny version.

I went here on the recommendation of fellow Yelpers and was not disappointed. This is definitely the best Mexican restaurant in Naples. Echoing what others wrote, the margaritas here are fantastic and served either by the glass or by the pitcher. The food is authentic and tasty. From the chips and salsa to the final dish, everything was outstanding! This is Mexican food as it should be served. I'm thrilled to finally have a decent Mexican place here in Naples!

This place has only been open for a few weeks and I am really impressed. They have great food and great prices Chips and Salsa is awesome. $2.50 Margaritas $1 draft beers $3.99 Sangria. You cant beat it. Friendly staff. I got a shrimp salad-huge tasty shrimp, tons of veggies, cheese, gaucamole in a crunchy shell. My friend got a grande burrito and this thing was the size of my arm and he ate every last bite. My husband got the chimichungas(?) and they were amazing! I will be going here often and I am excited about it.

I had to triple check the reviews on this because my experience after 2 visits were so different than the very positive reviews posted. First, I wanted to like this place! It seems clean, the staff is friendly when you arrive and after so many failed restaurants at this location you want someone to make it. Also, Naples really could use a GOOD Mexican restaurant. Sadly, this isn't the place. First - They insist, as so many places do, in having a menu with probably 100+ items on it. Instead of making 10-15 great, authentic, Mexican dishes, they make dozens and dozens of combinations of what certainly are pre-made or at least partially pre-made items. They have 2 basic types of sauces - verde(green) and a basic red enchilada sauce. Neither is particularly interesting or creative. The salsa has no particular taste beyond it's component parts, and the chips, while rustic looking, are fairly greasy. I had pork in a verde sauce and it was slightly greasy and a bit on the mushy side. My wife's meal came after everyone else was done on the first visit, and on the second visit they asked if I wanted sweet or unsweetenedd tea only to bring the wrong one -3 times! I dumbed down my second visit a just order some chicken tacos which were just ok. It might be the kind of place that you stumble upon a dish that you really like and get it every time but in my 2 visits, I didn't see or taste anything that would lead anyone with taste to believe that they are any better than Flacos, La Bamba, Iguana Mia, or even Meson Ole. In my opinion they are just another average, highly Americanized Mexican restaurant.

All six of us had lunch here today. We Were all very impressed with our food! The steak fajitas and shedded beef chimichangas were so good! Decor is very nice. I think they have a water/sewer issue. Both the men and women in our group complained of the smell in the restrooms. Very clean place. I can totally look past their bathroom issue, but it should addressed. The food was so delicious we will all be back and tell our family and friends to eat at Mr Tequila :-)

Cute decor, yummy and filling platters, good starter chips. Nice substitute options for food items. Standard Mexican restaurant, not much to say! I'd go back if I lived in FL.

Man, this is the best and most flavorful authentic Mexican food ever. And I am Latino! I love their Chile Rellenos piled high w/chicken best and their Chicken Soup. WOW! Great prices, friendly staff. Laid back and family friendly. I have taken a few Northerners there and they are converts. Can not go wrong.

I thought it was really good, way better than most Mexican in Naples, true the booths benches were oddly tall, but whatever, the food was great!! The prices are affordable and the servings were just enough. It is definitely worth a try.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
