This is by far the best and healthiest Italian meal I have had. My mother and I decided to spend the day in Naples and after reading all of the great reviews I knew this was the place to go. We ordered the mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer with tomatoes that were so fresh they could have been picked that day. Our salad was the perfect size and the dressing was indescribably good. The pasta was cooked to perfection. One of the owners was waiting on us and she described every dish in great detail. Like the other reviews said this restaurant definitely makes you feel like family and I love how healthy and dedicated they are to the restaurant.

I ate at Kitchen41 last night and it was fabulous. A must for anyone looking for a relaxing, exquisite meal in Naples. I had the cantaloupe and prosciutto to start. The prosciutto was outstanding - it tasted natural, not like the waxy kind available in the grocery store, and they gave me an ample serving. Most places give you only one or two pieces and they piled the plate high. Then I had the rack of lamb. The demi-glaze sauce was delicious and the meat was cooked perfectly. I had the cheese plate to finish and I ate every bite. The chef and his wife came by each table to say hello after the meal, which gave the place a friendly, intimate feel. I also appreciated that they didn't rush to turn the tables. The wine list was excellent. Overall, I can't wait to go back!

Without getting carried away, this was the worst meal I have had in ages. The calamari not only smelled of strong fish, the few bites I could eat made me nauseous . I had veal and it was over 1/2" thick and the sauce was pasty and un-edible. I had two bites, one without salt, the other with salt, 15 minutes later when I was able to get the attention of the waitress The table of two next to us also returned one of their meals . . The calamari was soft and without texture. When we brought it up to the waitress, she argued but removed it from our bill. The ceasar salad was nothing short of flavorless. I would not refer this place to anyone. The prices were in the mid 30.00's. Our entire table tried the food and everybody agreed it was definitely below par. Without exaggeration, I am nauseous.

Oh my! Not sure what to say. Small but nice and welcoming. Service made me feel like family. Food was not your typical Italian. By that I mean it was tops! Fresh cooked (not froZen restaurant service ingredients. A little pricey but certainly not bad considering the area (Naple$)! Traveling on business. Had the veal. I can't tell you just how much I enjoyed this!!!

If you are looking for a place for a quick dinner on the way to a movie with more food than you could possibly (or should) eat this is NOT the place for you. However, if you are looking for a superb dining experience where the food is the center of attention and you can truly enjoy the company of friends and family, then this may be the place for you. My salad was comprised of greens so fresh that I could taste the difference. The goat cheese had a taste and a mouth feel that made it clear that it hadn't spent much time in a plastic container. My pasta serving was just the right size so I felt full, but still had room for one of their deserts made on the premises. The pasta was made on the premises as well from organic ingredients. I can't describe the taste difference in words. You'll have to experience it yourself. The main course was worth the 40+ minute wait. At about $50 per person it was still one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I don't go out for expensive meals often, but I've paid a lot more for less satisfying meals.

Vale la pena (Worth the wait!) Domenico and Barbara bring two wonderful new dining delights to Naples. It's been a long wait. I'll describe the first as the embodiment of the global slow food movement. If you come here be ready to spend a long time as service is slow. This actually gives us a chance to enter a dining ambiance that literally forces us to anticipate the dining experience and when it finally arrives to savor it as good food is intended to be. And it is good food. This is the first truly Italian food I have eaten here. It is prepared with great care and carries flavors that take me back to the old country. I had an arugula salad that was really out of this world in flavor, and followed it with a fresh pasta with salmon and asparagus that brought tears to my eyes it was so good. It was abundant too, which helped me also to swallow the gourmet level prices. Bravi!

What a find! Hidden in a strip mall is the finest Italian food in Naples. The chef is a past carabiners from Foggia - the real deal. His wife is high on healthy food and will detail how everything is prepared. Our table of six agreed that the food compares to what we had in Italy but was probably healthier because of the lack of gluten, the special salt used, and the care and attention to food selection by the owners. Service was a bit slow and the young wait staff was confused because of the size of our group, getting the right plate to the right guest. The space is small so be sure to have a reservation. Compared to the 5th Avenue and Mercator flashy dining palaces, this genuine old Italy (not Brooklyn or Boston) trattoria is a treasure we will make part of our regular visit when we want good, healthy, Italian pasta.

Friendly greeting by owners. Every meal among the four of us was delicious, including pork loin and rack of lamb specials, and filet mignon with different sauces. Raved about all the way home. Plan at least a couple hours for dinner, order an appetizer, and bring your own wine or beer. Next visit will be for the pasta!

Exceptional! This place just opened a few weeks ago....and is by far the healthiest, best Italian food we have had in this country. It was as if we were transported to Italy...totally authentic...from the incredible pasta to the ricotta pie dessert. We will Return this next weekend to the cooking school dinner to learn about the Sous Vide method of cooking they use to insure rich flavors and nutrients that the couple uses to prepare food.....it originated in France in the 1960's. As a 23 year resident of Naples....we rate this among our top 3 favorite places to eat and we have tried them all!

Great, fresh food! The owners make you feel like you are family. Their fresh pasta is amazing. Can't wait to go back and enjoy Sous-Vide chicken. Tip: you can bring in your own wine or beer, and also, as everything is made fresh, be prepared to wait a bit if going for dinner. This was not a bother at all, as they make you feel very much at home! The focaccia is to die for, btw.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
