Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

After skimming these reviews, it looks as though I will be the first person to review this place who actually resides in Chicago. Ahem. This place would destroy in Chicago. And come to think of it, it actually probably will one day. The deep dish here in the city is fantastic, don't get me wrong. Pequods and Lou's guy here, btw. but they haven't innovated much as far as flavors. Nowhere near what's happening at this joint. That may be why I consume more thin crust in Chi. these days. We have heavy innovation with thin for some reason. And Chicago has gone NUTS with food over the past....I'd say 10 years or so. There is so much press and innovation about the restaurant scene here, you can't even keep up. Anyhow...someone's been paying attention (namely, The Hennings) and decided to take all that goodness to Florida for some reason, instead of opening on Milwaukee Ave. in Logan Squiare!!! :). I dug the atmosphere and service at Henning's, but the restaurants I always go back to are always for one reason: the food. Way to go, Henning's! I'll keep my eye out for a space in Chi.

A little gem hidden in the Naples Outlet Center! The pizza is authentic Chicago style and delicious. Reasonably priced, great staff and comfortable atmosphere for families. Would love to have this in Orlando!!!!

Wow. Seeing as my hubs is a native Illinois citizen and we travel there often, we were ready to compare Henning's to the authentic reality of the Chicago Deep Dish. We ordered a 10" Abe Froman deep dish (sausage) and a 10" pepperoni deep dish pizza. The pizzas were insanely close to the authentic Chicago treat. The sauce was spectacular, the crust was exact to what is expected of a deep dish, and the cheeses, flavor, and meats were so fresh, it was hard to stop eating. We felt the exact way we do after eating our Chicago deep dish - fat and happy. No food guilt here - it was worth breaking our healthy habits to enjoy this awesomeness. We were more than pleased with the service as well. Both the owner as well as the server were attentive, kind, and joked with us. We even saw the owner helping out in the kitchen, checking in with customers throughout the meals, and helping his staff whenever possible, which allowed for quick and fantastic service. When you have an owner that is willing to jump in and ensure efficiency, you have a successful business and happy staff. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. It has kind of an older country feel yet little spots of modernism... with things like cute red bar stools and lights. The owner stated he hopes to open another restaurant with a different food theme soon. If he does, he can be sure we will be going there as well!

We have eaten here several times and it has quickly become our favorate restaurant. Be warned that once you eat thier pizza or itallian sausage you will never be able to eat pizza or sausge anywhere else it will just tast bland. Dont hesitate to go here

All I can say is; "YUM"!!!! Tried Henning's Pizza for our first time after I heard of it from Linda Henning (awesome yoga teacher @ Yoga Loft)....read reviews prior & we ended up ordering the Stockyard Brisket pizza!!! We both really enjoyed it & the crust was just perfect...thin & crunchy! Brittany, our server was a delight as well! Will definitely plan to return & will encourage others to go. My husband, a man of few words commented when we got in the car; "it'd be nice if he opened up a place in Bonita"!!!

On our last trip to naples from chicago we had a great dinner here at Hennings. Pizza was wonderful. Loved the crust. We were told it was their special recipe. The salads were hardy and creative. Service was warm , friendly and attentive. Just arrived back in town and can't wait to head over.

The pizza is very good. Go with the pan pizza, easily enough for two. Very authentic Chicago style. We had a strawberry and chicken salad. Ordered and paid for a large and received the small. The salad itself was ok, not great, not bad. The place is a bit challenging to find. Located in South Naples several miles past Lely towards Marco Island. Tucked in a remote corner of a large strip mall.

Garlic rolls were not what we expected. They were crunchy and not soft buttery and garlicy like garlic rolls usually are at most places. They were good but a little disappointing. We ordered a specialty pizza, half one kind/half another. On one half I asked if we could substitute 1 item and our server said sure. She didn't tell me the price would go up so much!! Cost went from the expected $17 (the price listed for each of our choices) to $23. That was just for substituting 1 item on just half of the pizza!! When I questioned it she said that was the way she had to do it. The pizza was good but I would not have done the substitution had I known it would raise the price $6.

Lives up to the name! Everything is house-made and the service could not be more welcoming. Don't skip the appetizers. "Warm Jackets" are fantastic little sausage rolls. We loved the crisp thin crust pizza. Next time we'll try the thick crust!
(5)Dawn H.
I was very impressed by the food! Very good thin and deep dish pizza. The fries were homemade and sooo yummy. Very casual.
(5)Sherry M.
I say don't wast your money, I was over charged, pizza was burnt and topping was not correct and just plan gross. I would rather eat McDonald's .. I didn't even want to give it a star but it was my only option to post this!!!

Had the italian sausage sandwich and it was very good. Pizza was okay it had a little too much tomato sauce. I will go back but probably not for the pizza.
(4)Brian F.
Went there on Friday night after trying to go to isle of Capri restaurants - 90 minute wait times - so we tried Henning s. We ordered two thin crust pizzas and loved them both. We will be back to try the rest!

Best chile this side of Texas. Staff was friendly and service was quick and professional. Great place for good food

Service was slow it took way to long to take our order. The table next to us that got here 5 minutes after us got served first. The person who seemed to be the busser took our drink orders ( which wasn't even his responsibility so we appreciated that he was so diligent about it) while we waited for our server who was across the room talking the entire time. Finally I got up and asked if we could get some service and someone took our order after about 10 minutes. Food was not what I expected... We were really expecting something better because my girlfriend is from Chicago and was looking for a piece of home in Florida . A bit of a let down because of the service.

My family went here last night. OMG, the owner is fantastic. He greeted up at the door. Came over to the table to see where we were from. I guess the sunburns gave it away? Then brought over a complimentary appetizer, Gold Coast. French fries covered in cheese with house bacon. They were to die for. Then came the pizzas. Kids got cheese. We got the heirloom. Like our waiter, Max said, "It won't disappoint." He did not lie. This was one of the best pizzas I have ever had, hands down. Made the 24 hour drive worth it. We will be back. Thanks
(5)Amy P.
Their thin crust pizza is amazing. We've visited Naples, Fl for many years and never found anything close to the quality and yay of their pizza. They use quality ingredients and have terrific service. The owner checks on each table to make sure your food is as ordered and good. BEST pizza in Naples, Florida!!!
(5)Bill L.
I'm from Chicago and this is great. I know deep dish rules but try the thin too it's super thin crust and great for a hot day and lighter fare. Salads very fresh and all the sandwiches are originals with great Chicago names. In memory of Ferris Buehler's Day Off, Abe Froman sausage King sandwich looks interesting. Hungry? Go for the deep dish "Big Sexy" named after big Dan. Family owned and no frozen ingredients. Pretty great to find fresh food in this processed age.

We reviewed pizza previously, which was poor and did not taste like Chicago pizza. This time I ordered a sandwich (herbed chicken), russet fries, and my wife had a chicken salad. It was so bad we will never order from them again. The sandwich ciabatta was thick and dry. The chicken herb flavor was so bad I could only eat one bite. The salad was average, as were the fries. I can't believe we paid over $26 for such poor food.
(1)Laura L.
we got their chicago pan pizza with sausage and roasted peppers to go. so glad we are right down the street from this place, everything about this pie was phenomenal! highly recommend!
(5)Eric M.
Excellent service and food. The owner mingled to make sure everyone was happy with their experience. The place for pizza in east Naples.
(5)Catherine K.
We ate in and got the garlic knots and a deep dish pizza. Everything was great! Great bread, crust, toppings and marinara. The servers could not do enough to make our visit most enjoyable. Will definitely return if we are in the area again.
(5)John M.
Based on reviews tried recently nut the reviewers must have been away from Chicago a Long time. Crust marginal as was sauce with some basil tossed in for some flavor. Not even close to Lou's, Gino's or Aurelo's.
(2)Lori G.
The fennel salad was delicious and the pizza was loaded with fresh toppings. We ordered the thin crust Henning Family Heirloom. They use really fresh ingredients and we liked that it isn't loaded with heavy cheese. This definitely is pizza for those who want something healthy and flavorful. The price was very reasonable and the service was friendly. We will be back!
(5)Linda F.
We. Ordered two pizzas and they were terrible. Crust was poor, too much unflavored tomato, and no pizza taste. I would not order again, we threw out all but 1 piece. Will not ever go there again.

Finally, after living in Southwest Florida for nearly a decade, Naples has it's very own, genuine, authentic and delicious hot spot for pizza! Whether you prefer a thin and crispy crust (as I do) or a deep dish (like my wife does), Henning's does them both to perfection. Since they opened about a month ago, we've visited or picked up our pizzas (conveniently located right around the corner from where we live) four times... and have been very happy customers on each occasion. The traditional "New York style" crust is wafer thin and crispy. The "Chicago style" deep dish offers a tasty, doughy crust cooked perfectly and loaded with their delicious homemade sauce (thick and flavorful), cheese and toppings. Don't forget to top your pizza with their house-made Italian sausage, too. And, if you really want to treat yourself, don't miss out on their appetizer portion of garlic knots... the BEST we've EVER had! A delicious blend of butter, garlic and soft-baked dough, which has the slightest crispiness on the outside while packed with the most flavor you can imagine on the inside. They are genuinely UNBELIEVABLE!!! Bar has a nice assortment of major label beers and microbrews on tap as well. Take our advice: if you're a fan of "real" pizza and are looking for a nice little spot in Naples to enjoy a delicious dinner, then head over to Henning's!
(5)Scott R.
Never a disappointment , always fresh and reminds me of sweet home Chicago. Definitely a gem and the staff is on top of things ...
(5)Ana P.
We've been here many times. The experience is always great because the food is delicious and the staff is wonderful. We always feel at home when we are at Henning's. It has a great atmosphere. Our favorite menu items are the garlic knots, poutine, cheese deep dish, Burt Katz, Daley Plaza Farmer's Market, Caesar Salad, & Deep Dish with Sausage. Can't wait to go back...the whole family loves it!!! Best Deep Dish Pizza in Naples!

DISAPPOINTING!!!!!! I was really excited to try this place and reading the reviews confirmed my excitement, however! This place was a let down on many levels. First impressions, the place is cool looking inside, clean, and has nice decor. My biggest complain is the staff. It was 8 pm on a Friday and there were 10!!! Staff members! Only 3 of which did any work while we were there. The place was by no means busy, either. That is not the complaint though. Every one there had a genuine indifference and appeared lazy. The entire 2 hours we were there, 3 staff members sat at the bar eating and drinking, 2 of which were delivery drivers. Another sat on a stool this whole time staring at her phone in the corner, directly in front of a table. I had to ask multiple times for a water refill AND our server tried to convince us not to get the deep dish saying "oh, you want deep dish? The thin crust is much better". You're a Chicago style restaurant?! Now, the food. We decided to build our own pizza. Deep dish takes 45min so if you decide to get that, just call ahead. The pizza was very delicious. HOWEVER, we paid $26!!!!!!!! Wtffffff!!!! They charged us $3 per topping, don't worry though the cheese is free -_- unbelievable. Brisket, onion, sausage and BBQ sauce. Small amount of brisket, I'm honestly so annoyed I can't even finish this. They charged $3 to drizzle sweet baby rays BBQ sauce over the fucking top! $3 fucking dollars!! That goes for each topping!

There are two reasons to go to Hennings. First, if you don't your dumb. Second, if you don't your really dumb. The food at this place will melt your face off in three different degrees of awesomeness. We are talking Raiders of the Lost Ark, face melting good here. If you are looking for a real delicious extravaganza try the winter coats, the candied bacon (made in house), or the Grand Ave. Social Club. Tell Scott that Jason sent you. Not because it will get you anything but just because I would like such a pillar of culinary fortitude to know my name. As a wise overly promoted man once said BAM! Now stop reading go get in your car and drive straight to Hennings. If you don't you deserve a horrible death from a food ninja, seriously look behind you, they are silent, he could be dangling above you from the ceiling as we speak. Neither of us wants that.

Is it wrong that when I think of pizza, I can only think of my awesome deep dish experience at Henning's? Let me tell you that I'm quite picky with my pizza, especially with deep dish. I lived in Chicago for a few years, and we all know the debate between deep dish pizza really being pizza all in itself. Well, heck. Regardless, it's good. Even though it takes a lot of gumption to even eat a second piece of deep dish, it's a crime to let a piece of deep dish go to waste. My love for deep dish goes to the bottom of life when I used to scour unlabeled leftovers in a shared fridge in college. No name? It's up for grabs. Now for Henning's, although I did not go for traditional deep dish, I had the same pleasurable experience. It's definitely not your commercial Giordano's or Gino's, or not like my favorite Lou Malnati's, it brought back a nice spin on a little nostalgia for me. We ordered the "Argyle Street". It was a braised pulled pork, with a blend of korean ingredients that included a homemade kim chi. It was a burst of flavor in your mouth. There was enough cheese and ingredients to crust ratio. This is especially important with deep dish. As much as one needs a knife and fork, I picked up that beast with my own bare hands. The crust was awesome, and the blend of all ingredients would make this my number one favorite at Henning's. We also had their family heirloom thin crust, and their awesome take on poutine. Those fries were doused in a cheese sauce with their own cured candied bacon. Heart attack on a plate, nonetheless. My trainer would be freaking out if she read half of my reviews! Yes, please try their poutine. It's no gravy and cheese curds, but it's a great and unique way to fill up at a great price point. The only little thing I noticed that threw me off kilter was their drinks, or lack of fountain drinks. In a Florida-thirsty world, fountain drinks will prove to be a necessity amongst its weary travelers or shoppers (with Henning's being in an outlet mall), or just plain ol' residents. If I'm not mistaken, they'll be working on that shortly. Staff was extremely accommodating, and the owner took the time to check up on us to see how we were doing. We were just impressed that the owner and staff took pride in what they did that night. From what I saw when we left, I noticed a car with their name on it and people popping in and out. Apparently, it seems like the popularity bug has already bit the locals with local take-out and delivery. They're all in for a treat. Now for those of you who don't know where this place exists, it doesn't have a lot of main road exposure. It's at the north end of the outlet mall just south of Manatee Road on your way to Marco. It's definitely off the beaten path for most Neapolitans, but I assure that this place will flourish because it's the only restaurant joint in that plaza. Let's hope that Yelp gets some exposure for this business, especially to those who are famished after some heavy duty shopping around this time of year.

Well well well... You can't put one over on me. I'm from Chicago. You can't just open up a place and advertise deep dish pizza and expect me to go in have the closest thing to Chicago style pizza I have ever had.. Damn fine pizza. It felt like home when I smelled the kitchen firing up the oven. Well done guys. I was thoroughly impressed. Better believe I will be back next time I'm around. Thanks for the left overs!!!
(5)Mike P.
This is the best Chicago style pizza I have had in as long as I can remember. I went with a group so I was able to try a few pizzas. Both the deep dish and thin crust pizzas were great with incredibly fresh ingredients. The surprise star of the meal was the Stockyards Smoked Brisket pizza. I would also recommend anything with the homemade sausage.
(5)Molly T.
They close at 10pm on a Friday unlike all chicago pizza joints... Real restaurants take customers up until they close even if it is 10 minutes before closing.. Your loss of business! 1 star only because I had to put one. They are also clueless and don't know if they deliver or not regardless of what is on Yelp.
(1)Brian Z.
Fantastic thin crust and deep dish pizzas. Gourmet Chicago tastes at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

My husband and I was told about Henning's from our daughter who worked with the owner in Chicago. Growing up in Chicago she knows I like my pizza and deep dish is my favorite. I live in Delray Beach (Southern FL) and there is no pizza restaurant to match or scratch the surface of any in Chicago. We had business in Sarasota so this was our opportunity to check it out. I went there open minded to the chance I could experience a little taste of home in Naples. After all, Chicago is in the name. We arrived at the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised to see families, couples and groups of customers. This was a good sign. The owner came by to introduce himself and we chatted while our meal was prepared. I ordered the Burt Katz. Let me tell you I couldn't believe my mouth was tasting the flavor of Real Sausage (not slices of meat from a link with no flavor), peppers and caramelized cheese. I was in heaven. This is coming from a girl who will drive from Delray Beach to Orlando (200 miles one way) just to get Giordano's. My husband ordered Henning Family Heirloom (with meat and onions only). It's thin crust Italian sausage, roasted peppers, mushrooms and onions. He doesn't like all the stuff. Keep it plain and with flavor and he's happy. The pizza had red onions and he likes yellow onions. The Italian sausage flavor won him over. So, he'll order yellow onions next time. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food. We went home happy to know there is another place, besides Giordano's, in Florida that you can get Authentic Chicago Style Pizza. If you haven't stop by, do your mouth a favor and try Henning's.

LOVE this place. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly! The deep dish pizza takes 30min but it's so worth the wait. Amazing! Highly recommended!
