Our group of ten enjoyed the choices provided in the app/entree/wine menu for $21.95. Bien sur, I had to have the deliciously tiny, garlicky snails, followed by steak-frites. The mushroom sauce was superb. The house red wine was passable. One of our ladies ordered a creme brule. We shared it, being civilized enough not to fight over the bits of torched sugar topping. The Bistro is small and cozy. I personally could have done without the TV looming overhead. It's not a sports bar after all, and that box seemed intrusive - especially at dinner.

Wonderful food, atmosphere and service. Only knock against them is that the pricing is bad for the portion size. Otherwise wonderful. Seriously overpriced but delicious. People OK with $13 sandwiches, look no further.

Great friendly service with very good food! I tried the smoke salmon appetizer and the salmon entree both were delicious. The restaurant smokes its own salmon. We'll definitely be back.

Owners and Chef are French. So food is authentic. Very friendly atmosphere, lots of regulars French bread is delicious. Had a veal stew over rice; very tasty. Husband had skirt steak with Fries; steak delicious. Fries not French-- they are baked and boring. We both started with a green salad. The dressing was very authentic and lovely, but salad had too much iceberg lettuce and not enough mixed green, but overall very tasty. Also shared a country pate, which was as good as any I've had in France. Finished with an apple tart-also delicious. Plus 4 glasses of good house wine, all for $90. They also have a $20, two-course meal with glass of wine. Of course tax and service would bring it up to $50 for 2. For the money, a great find.

Visited on 9/20/12 around 6:00. The atmosphere, service and food were excellent. I had the warm goat cheese salad and the special - Lamb Shank. My dining companion had the mahi-mahi fish sandwich. It is really like a French Bistro in North Naples! I highly recommend and will definitely go back.

Surprising discovery tucked away in a strip in Northern Naples. A bit hard to find but well worth the effort. The reception was warm and welcoming and the service was quick and efficient. The menu was varied and our party of six tried a variety of dishes with a unanimous vote of praise. The atmosphere is rustic with a homespun feel. The only negative was the noise level which can interfere with table conversation. The prices are reasonable (for Naples) and the staff makes an effort to send you off with a warm greeting, waving from across the room. A nice touch at the end of a good meal.

We are becoming regulars to this delightful Bistro. The baked onion soup is a must. We also enjoyed the Rack of Lamb and Salmon. We shared a Peach Melba, plenty for 2 adults. The service was superior. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food.

First visit this year. Still very good. We took advantage of the two course special which includes a glass of wine. Food and service were very good . When you enter you will always get a friendly greeting from the owners. If you are looking for restaurant that reminds of eating in a small family run bistro on the Left Bank you will not be disappointed. A very good value

Tonight my partner in crime and I got dressed up and met another couple for some cuisine française. We have been hearing great things about the North Naples restaurant called The French American Bistro.. So we asked our friends to come along .. One of them just happens to be a chef who trained in Southern France! What a great experience it was! The cute cozy bistro made us feel like We were in a little town in France. The chef was very friendly and waved from the kitchen . We all decided to all order different things and try it all! For Hors d'oeuvres we ORDERED SEA Scallops & Shrimp au gratin ,French onion Soup and camberet cheese. All the flavors were perfect creamy and what you would expect in Southern France. We paired it up with a bold French red wine. FOR THE MAIN COURSE WE ALL WANTED TO TRY DIFFERENT DISHES and shared them all. For the main course We choose Beef Bourguignon, Veal Blanquette and Filet Mignon, all paired with either wiped potato or rice imageThe Veal just melted in your mouth, oit was prepared perfectly. imageFilet Mignon had a creamy, buttery pepper cream sauce the made the filet just melt in you mouth. The Beef Bourguignon was our least Favorite, only because it had a very strong orange note to the streak that was a very acquired taste, but like the other dishes, the meat was melted in your mouth delicious. Over dinner we got to hear great stories about Southern France and the experience of training and learning to cook in France, this made the experience all that much more special! Although we were full and opened a second bottle of another French red, we opted for dessert, after all it was our friends birthday! Creme brûlée was our first choice and Profiterole filled with ice cream . As we sat and talked we could smell the brûlée being prepared! In the end we spend almost 3 hours talking , eating and enjoying our time away from SW Florida, we truly feel like we were in Southern France,it was a Wonderful experience! we felt as though we had our own personal chef!! French American bistro is a must try! frenchamericanbistro.com Bon appetit! Merci au chef!

I had the chicken and mushroom crepe, and my friend had the croque madame... Food was very mediocre. Bland. The crepe was mostly cheese and the chicken was not fresh -- it tasted like precooked, packaged chicken. There were barely any mushrooms in it. It was served without sides and it was $10.25. The croque looked delicious, but it wasn't. There was something off about it. We couldn't figure out if it was the cheese or how dry it was. Served with either fries or house salad, $9.95. I wouldn't recommend it and I don't think I'll be coming back. Not to mention the fact that they charge a splitting fee. I can't remember when was the last time I saw that... The people around us seemed to be enjoying their food, but it was all sandwiches and salads, nothing out of the ordinary. The waitresses were nice.

Would you believe it? A French Bistro with good food in a non metro area in Florida. It was a very nice surprise for someone who was driving through. Atmosphere 85 Interesting, but it is a store front Service 85 Excellent and caring Food 85 Really, good French Bistro food Value 85 Good, all around Had a French meal, and for once did not have a triple digit bill. Recommended, and it might be worth your while to go out of the way - that is if you are interested in inexpensive but authentic french food.

this place is just ok. We arrived without a reservation which seemed to frazzle the hostess. We told her we were in no rush and we'd go next door for a glass of wine. We came back 15 minutes later like she requested and she did't remember us. No worries, we reminded her and after a short wait we got a table. The waitress took our drink order and said, "I'll be right back with your drinks and your bread". After a pretty long wait we got our drinks but never got bread until we asked a few times. I ordered the seafood crepes. The seafood was fresh but I'd prefer to be able to taste the crepes more, the sauce smothers everything. We ordered the onion soup and the reviews are correct, that is great! We also, ordered the snails (wouldn't order again) and my friend got a steak. He said his steak wasn't the best and he was also not impressed with the beer selection. I may go back if a friend wanted to go but I"m not rushing back. Also, if you are a vegetarian you won't have much to choose from.

We enjoyed our lunch here. I had a sandwich on a fresh baked baguette. It was delicious. My gf had chicken crepes which were good as well. Outdoor seating is nice, too. Service was decent.

Superb dinner for four. Every dish was perfect. Comfortable quiet outdoor dining. Wait staff are courteous and many speak French. I highly recommend FAB to my Canadian friends.

Stopped by this place for lunch, and I was extremely impressed. It has been a while since I've been to Paris, but it had the feel of a small French cafe. I went with something different and got the Parisian hot dog. Man, all I can say, is what a dish! Essentially it was a foot long hot dog on a nice baguette with dijon and pile of gruyere cheese freshly melted out of the oven. The hot dog was not your normal oscar meyer, and it had a nice snap to it. My wife had the croque madame, and it was perfect as well with the ham, cheese, tomatoes, melted cheese and of course the fried egg on top. I can't wait to go back and try the other dishes. The chef had a lot of passion for his food and wanted everything to be just right. Can't forget about the frites too, they were very nice as well. Highly recommended.

This is my third time to this place and the last. There is so much variation in quality. We had the steak and fries the first time it was great. Then on a second visit we had the croque Monsieur that was not the best. Now we tried it a third time and ordered steak and fries, nothing like our first. The steak was undercooked for a medium well and the fries Tasted old. The waitress did agree with the fries not being fresh and so got us another side.

Great little gem. Welcoming staff. Nothing fancy, but great fresh good. Their quiches are just delicious. We tried the bread pudding and OMG it was the most delicious bread pudding we've ever tried. Totally out of the conventional pudding. YUM, yum, yum just writing this review my mouth waters while thinking about it.
