Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

A nice place with good food and "bottomless wine"" can't go wrong.

I'm a big fan of the D'Amico restaurants down here in Naples, and can always find something I like at all of them. The quality and taste of food is always top notch. Compared to some of the other restaurants they run, I would say this one is on the more casual side. While it's a great place, there isn't anything extremely special about this location. If you like the D'Amico restaurants, my favorite is The Continental in Old Naples.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Naples. Relaxing, unpretentious atmosphere, great food and service and the bottomless glass of wine is a deal you cannot beat.

One of the best values in Naples. The food is basic Italian. Great taste and substantial portions. The service is always outstanding.
(5)Chad G.
The service was good, place was clean, menu selection nice, price good, food tasted great.

Our family took a day trip to Naples while vacationing in Marco Island. Had a great lunch here and pleased the whole family!!

This place has all the smells and sounds of an old world deli, unfortunately it's a sit down, white tables cloth restaurant. You'd expect a different level of service to reflect the atmosphere. Positives: pretty patio and similar menu and food as the Minneapolis restaurant chain. Food was very good and a very nice dessert and drink menu. Unfortunately, the service took this review south. This was one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cites area. I was really excited to try it in Naples, but it was hard to believe it was the same restaurant. We came in at lunch and waited quite a while to be seated. There were only a few other people in the restaurant. Then when we finally got seated our waitress was unprofessional and uninformed. I asked if this was the same restaurant chain as in Minneapolis, and she said, "I don't know know, I only work at this one. I think the owners lives there but I've never seen them." The menus were battered, lots of tables not cleaned, and it took a long time to get our food. We were pressured to get more than pizza and drinks and our waitress only stopped by when we were 3/4 of the way through to give us the peppers & cheese. Overall, I think this could be a great restaurant if it was kept up better and the service improved. Never had an experience like this with other D'Amico and Sons restaurants in the Twin Cities.

This place was fantastic. The best selling feature is the bottomless house wine - it literally kept being poured the entire time we were there. And it was bottomless for $8.49. It was also extremely drinkable. Incredible deal. I had the chicken parm and it was very good - the pasta side was cooked al dente. The servers were very attentive (especially when it came to the wine). The only thing that I didn't love was the bread - the crust was too hard for my liking. Regardless, I would definitely return and would recommend this place to others.

We have owned our 2nd home in Naples for 13 yrs. we always drove by this place, and never stopped until tonite. We ordered the chicken and sausage penne. It was unreal along with the fresh bread. Can't wait to go back soon

First time here. I was quite impressed with the food. I ordered the meatball with marinara panini. In the terms of average joes like me, it was a toasted meatball sub. It came with a salad. The panini was light, yet flavorful. For some reason it didn't taste like other meatball subs I've had at other places. It seems less salty. It must've been because it was made with fresh ingredients. Then, I had a Caesar salad. Nothing special, but it again was light. The reason for the 4 star was for the service. I came in with a group of six and it wasn't that busy. The whole experience took longer than expected. Other than that, everything was good.

I was not really sure if this restaurant knows what it is supposed to be: pizzeria, bakery, family Italian? It definitely has a strange vibe. When you walk in there is a huge glass case which divides the large open kitchen from the restaurant. The glass case is filled with various pasta and seafood salads. Unfortunately the salads looked like they had been there all day, crusty and old. I never would have dreamed of ordering them. We went to D'Amico because my 11 year old was craving Ravioli. Unfortunately, he was disappointed because there was no Ravioli on the menu. He settled for Spaghetti & Meatballs. Normally this is also served with with Italian Sausage as well. For $17.99, this was a pretty pricey Spaghetti and Meatballs at a very casual restaurant and the dish certainly did not live up to its price tag. FIrst, although we asked for Penne instead of Spaghetti, it was first served with Spaghetti. Out server took it back and the dish came back out quickly enough. However, there was an issue and some might say I am being quite picky.....the dish was scalding, burn your mouth hot! My son could not even touch the food for twenty minutes. I know what one must be thinking and yes, normally, I am a huge proponanat of hot foods being hot and cold foods being cold. However, this was "sue McDonalds hot coffee dangerous hot". Maybe some good meatballs would have made up for it, but these were the worst meatballs I have had in a long time. They were full of filling and we could barely taste the meat. I did not blame 11 yr old for not finishing them. The redeeming spots for this place? My dish, the Tilapia Piccata, was very good: a large piece of fish (that was not overcooked) with a mild lemon butter sauce and capers, served with broccoli rabe on the side. It was not earth shattering food but it was tasty and well worth the $19.99 it cost. For a few dollars extra we also got salads. My sons Caesar was fine. I trenedously preferred my D'Amico House Salad which consisted of mixed baby greens, spinach, red onion, olives, tomato, and feta. The vinagarette was lght, tasty, and perfect for this salad. The service was warm and friendly. Perhaps it is more of a lunch spot. Perhaps the item to get here is pizza. Even though the fish was good, I think we will be giving some other places in Naples a try on our next visit.

First time here and I'll definitely be back! We started with the bruschetta and it was delicious. I had the Buffalo Mozzarella Ravioli with braised balsamic beef and it was so, so good. It had a perfect combination of flavors. We got the chocolate cannoli for dessert and it was to die for. It was a warm chocolatey filling wrapped in perfectly crispy and flaky filo dough, with some light, creamy vanilla gelato... Overall a great meal and great experience! Highly recommended!!

JUST AWLFUL!!!! I have been coming to this restaurant for years and last nights meal was absolutely awful. It will also be my last meal at the Damicos and Sons. There are so many better restaurants to pick from in Naples.

Fresh food and nice restaurant close to hotels. The terrace is gorgeous and nicely decorated. The staff is professional, smiling and fast. This restaurant is a good value. Wine choice is limited. Prices are good. I recommend it.

Finding D'Amico and Sons restaurant was like finding a hidden treasure! The food is outstanding, the service is excellent and the ambiance is delightful! I kind of hope the tourists miss this hidden gem!

We found ourselves at D'Amicos by accident, but enjoyed our meal and nice service. Tried the spaghetti with meatballs and sausage and the grouper special...both tasty and fresh. The bottomless glass of wine is a good deal. However, advise to skip the desserts from the case- the "cannoli" is an insult to Italians everywhere.

We had dinner here last week and it was great....again. The food was very good, the waitress was excellent and the dessert was exceptional......great place ...we go often. Phil - Naples, fl

This was our second visit to this location in the last few years and it was better than I remembered. One attraction here is the AYCDrink house wine for $7.99, we passed but it's a nice idea if you're in the mood. We were quickly brought some bread, dipping oil and a few olives. Nice touch. We split a Caesar salad ($8.79) which was loaded with our requested extra anchovies. Seems anchovy lovers can get all they want as most people give them a pass. I was lucky enough to find a wife that craves anchovies too! The salad was a good sized portion to share, included all the proper ingredients and was fresh and crisp. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana ($18.99) which included a side of pasta and a Caesar side salad! At delivery the server mentioned the salad prep person asked her did we want another salad. It ended up going home and in defense of our otherwise personable and pleasant server, it is mentioned in small print on the menu. You would think however she would have pointed it out or made a different suggestion at ordering. I was intrigued by one of their wood burning prepared pizzas ($12.59) the Smoked Mozzarella with Prosciutto, Bacon and chopped Pepperoncini. Not surprisingly this creative pizza was salty but perfectly cooked and really delicious! This is a dependable place where the food is good but not exceptional.

It was ok, we had a Cesar salad and 2 pizzas, one chick, spinach, mush, which did not have mushrooms, but had tomatoes, and red onion instead. Unclear why, but when I mentioned it, the manager kindly took off $2. Better than a poke in the eye, I guess. Pepperoni was good, better than average, crust a little doughy, but we did dine at 3:45 on a rainy Saturday afternoon, so maybe the dough hadn't fully risen or the oven wasn't hot, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The atmosphere is very nice, comfy, warm, nice music, open kitchen, private patio, service was great. And the unlimited wine makes everything else completely acceptable. I might try it when it's busier.

I enjoy D'amico it is good quality and consistent service.I have never had anyhting I didnt like they have nice outdoor sitting.Love there pasta and pizza.

A favorite place of mine to meet the ladies for a long lunch. Casual atmosphere and you can't beat the bottomless wine special. The food is fresh and simple and the wait staff is great- particularly Sarah. The chain maintains the standards of it's higher end sister restaurants. I dine here atleast once a week.
(5)Jimmy M.
Food is nice. Service not so much.
(2)Nick B.
Great food and service. Try the all you can drink wine.
(5)Clay P.
First time visit. Pretty good food with marginal service & not worth the $ they charge. There are better places with similar menus in the area, one's right next door.
(3)Amy C.
Good fresh homemade food!
(5)Cesar S.
I didn't partake in the all-you-can-drink house wine on account of having to behave in front of the grandparents-in-law... Will try getting out of the house and coming back some other night, though! Having been to D'Amico a couple of times now, I think it is a decent Italian restaurant. The place itself is very comfortable, clean and simple. The waitress was friendly enough on my most recent visit. I have enjoyed my meals here and would certainly return to try new dishes. I'm hoping something will really wow me on my next visit... A little wine might help...

I came here for lunch and got the house salad with grilled salmon. The salmon was a tad overdone for my liking, but overall, it was pretty good. You also get fresh bread with this AMAZING olive oil that you just want to bathe in, but I resisted. Service was attentive and polite. I'd try coming here again for lunch, but maybe not for dinner.
(3)Maggie M.
They start with a really good crunchy bread with oil and grated cheese on the side. Pizza is good, love the Ceasar salad and the Tuscan Chicken soup is tasty. I see so many people ordering the bottomless glass of wine for about 8 bucks. Maybe next time. Nice restaurant. I'll be back.

Never again, we went the first time with my cousin who suggested the place. She said they had been there before but we should come to her house to load up on apps because the portions were very small. Turned out everything we ordered was ok, my pork chop was very small but no deal breaker. I contacted their customer service just to give them a heads up on the issue my cousin experienced. They sent a gift card and said please go back. We went with 7 people. 3 people had the pasta bolognase and 2 of the dishes hardly had any meat sauce. They brought some more and charged us. My friend and I had the chicken sausage and asparagus , I think $18 there were a few flecks, fingernail size of sausage and 3 slices of chicken no bigger in size than a quarter, my sister is vegetarian so she wanted just the pasta as described on the garlic shrimp , just no shrimp. I had to pick up the cost for $19 garlic shrimp for a plate of pasta that cost 50 cents oh and no asparagus on our dishes either. Now I understood what went on before and customer service never contacted me either. I will not go back. No value here, overpriced , little food, they run on their reputation in the Midwest

Overpriced. Overrated. Nothing special. The outdoor seating is nice. The atmosphere is cool. The food is expensive and not anything that great. I had a personal pizza which I felt cost way too much for a bland greasy pizza. The only reason this place gets three stars is for their dessert. Their "cannoli" was not a cannoli at all but rather a piece of chocolate and phyllo yumminess. Come for dessert, skip dinner and save your money.

Unlimited house wine for $7.29 per person. Wow. The bread was warm and crusty. Olives and olive oil to dip the bread in. The special was grilled shrimp pasta with garlic, oil and parsley $13.99 and it included a house or caesar salad. 2 couples dined here and we all had the shrimp special and unlimited wine (choice of red or white). The food was terrific. Our server Kay made the evening. Friendly and attentive. We dined on the outside patio. Plenty of heaters to keep the unusually cool evening air away. Desert was a chocolate cake with ice cream that we shared with freshly brewed coffee. And the best part was that Kay kept bring us wine during desert and even after we finished. No rushing us out the door. No reservations so get here before 6pm or after 8pm in season. The wait is worth it. Enjoy!
(5)Darryl J.
The spaghetti with Sicilian meatballs and Italian sausage with marinara was excellent!
(3)Vivi R.
It's a little slick, which is to say a bit pricey and I had verrrrry little chicken and sausage in my pasta dish. But wait! They feature a "bottomless glass" of wine choice, for an initial cost of $7.99. We topped out at 3 glasses of red each, which made our glasses of wine just less than $3 a pour. The restaurant is pretty; we ate here on our first night in Naples, not knowing where to go. It was close to our hotel and looked attractive with its lights and outdoor seating. My husband ordered a wood-fired pizza that was heavenly delicious. They seemed a little stingy with the bread, though, but it was good, and served with both olive oil and butter. Our server was fine, not overly friendly, but not intrusive, and she snapped a picture for us. As yelp's 3 star rating indicates, D'Amico & Sons was "a-ok" with us.
(3)Bill D.
We are from the home of D'amico and Sons, Minneapolis. Stopped for a late lunch and we sat for a full ten minutes and no one ever came to even take a drink order. There did not seem to be anyone in charge of the asylum. As we left other patrons said they were being held hostage by the bad service. Tables were dirty and seemed more like a White Castle.

While visiting my parents in Naples, Florida, they took me to D'Amico and Sons restaurant in Naples (I live in Arizona). This place is located in a strip mall, but is not strip mall ordinary. The food is excellent. I had the pot roast, and you could cut the meat with a fork, it was so tender. They offer an incredible deal if you like wine. Order the house wine for $7.95 a glass, and they will keep you glass full for the entire time you are there, This place is not your traditional restaurant... it's half restaurant and half "bakery", at least that is the sense I got. They have outdoor seating as well. If you like Italian food and you are in Naples, you have to try this place. It is the BEST!
(5)Shazia M.
there is not one bad thing i could possibly say about this place. i. love. it.
(5)Keith R.
Great Italian restaurant run by same family who own Campielos. Only a lot cheaper.
(4)K M.
$7.29 for all you can drink house wine. Do I really have to say more? Ok I will. The food is quite good. At least, what I remember of it, after a few glasses of the $7.29 all you can drink house wine, even when countering that with the yummy bread. It is a bit pricey, but I would imagine that is in line with the neighborhood, and in the end was probably only a little over $30 a person. It is worth it for, again, the $7.29 all you can drink house wine, as well as for the lovely patio that is well guarded from the street, and friendly, attentive service (they left two bottles of the wine on a nearby table, which we proceded to drink away, until well past their closing time, with NO pressure from them whatsoever to leave). They are plenty accomodating of groups; show up a bit later (like around 8) to have barely any crowd at all, since most of Naples is apparently already asleep. Well, I guess this time WAS a Thursday. I don't think they take reservations, as I do remember waiting quite a bit longer last year. Yes, D'Amico, you will most certainly be an annual tradition. You and your $7.29 all you can drink house wine were responsible for much debauchery and listening to of Britney Spears later that evening. To the waiter guy who had to deal with us for much of the evening- you will live forever fondly in our memories. Um, $7.29 all you can drink house wine. In case you missed that part.
