Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Cosmos never disappoints. No pretension here; what you see is what you get, served up by a staff that is genuinely attentive and happy to see you, even if you waltz in at 9PM (which is LATE for Naples, believe me). The food is solid, the atmosphere a continuously happy buzz, and the prices reasonable, especially when compared to the high price of eating out in Naples. Thumbs up.

We go often to Cosmo's Fresh food at a great price in Naples. Love the eggplant and polpette appetizers-- pizza is loaded with toppings--- we love the Meat Lovers Service is good and place is kept clean. The owner stops by to your table and makes sure all is great--- he really wants his patrons to be happy and come back! I highly recommend this restaurant .
(5)Ann G.
Been coming here for years and have always had fantastic food and service until TONIGHT! Waitress was horrible -- we have been waiting for our food for at least 45 minutes. So sad to see a wonderful place go downhill. So disappointed!!!! However, the owner took over and got our food --- it was a problem with the waitress. I will still come back!!!
(1)Richard P.
Good service. Crazy expensive for low- to mediocre-quality food. Extremely disappointed after reading the reviews. Total rip-off.
(2)Jeff S.
I feel bad that I am so delinquent in offering this review. My family and I enjoyed dinner here while vacationing in Naples this summer. We had an amazing time and our meals were outstanding, all perfectly prepared with fresh ingredients. The family touch was truly evident. We would definitely return, and if we lived in Naples, we'd become regulars.
(5)Caroline D.
Surpassed my expectations. Our server Stephania was great- the seafood entree Orata she recommended was delicious- so glad I took her advice The pizza was terrific and my husband couldn't get enough of the garlic knots nor the veal Marsala Give this place a try- you won't be disappointed
(5)Frank L.
I really dig Cosmo's. The food is always great, service is always great & the owner is such a fantastic guy & hilarious character. It's worth going just to visit witth him. Lots of old school dishes with plenty of new ideas & recipes from Sardinia, the owner, Gian Luca's home town. There's a sandwich shop located next door that attaches to the restaurant for quick sandwich order at the counter & go action. Usually I'm in the dining room but both sides are awesome! Good pizza & by the slice available during lunch. (#2 on my favorite pizza in town list). Bolognese is great here & the pumpkin ravioli w/ sage butter is fan-friggin'-tastic. Good for families, kids, and your parents! Really great place & highly recommended!
(5)Jimmy K.
Outstanding first experience at Cosmos! Great appetizers, exceptional pizza, great service. Clean, friendly environment, bathrooms too! Nice small italian ambiance. Outside seating available. Pepsi products :( . Overall 92% rating.
(5)Katie H.
Great food and great atmosphere! This is the family friendly Italian restaurant that you see in the movies- complete with the manager out making his rounds of the tables. Prices are great and so is the food and the service! If I was a local I would be here once a week or more.
(5)Peter L.
Great friendly atmosphere and very good food. Eggplant parm was great, portion size about right, not overwhelming. Get the cheese bruschetta.
(4)Drew M.
Awesome pizza and. Great service. I'll go back.
(5)Michael S.
This place has a great pizza and friendly service every single time. I highly recommend the margherita pie...unreal.
(4)Alvin P.
From the moment you walk in, you're greeted as if your family. Great service. Great food for the price. Teramisu was incredible.
(5)Kate W.
We ordered pizza out from Cosmos--loved it & decided to dine in and try their pastas. Everything we tried was fabulous--a lentil soup special for New Year's, spaghetti & meatballs, homemade spinach ravioli and cheese pizza for the kids. Service was attentive and friendly. Prices were high--but completely on par with what I expect to pay in Naples. Made the mistake of eating pizza on 5th ave--won't do that again with Cosmos so close by!! The pizza is traditional thin crust & just about as close to Italy as you can get it!
(5)Mary F.
Been there twice in the past week. The pasta dishes are great. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Saw several pizzas go by so decided we needed another visit to try the pizza. We were not disappointed. The thin crust was crispy but yet tender. We had the special, which was wonderful. We WILL be back again
(4)Chris B.
Never disappointed here and love bringing new people to try it out. This place should get the best Pizza in Florida award! My kids love the owner and of course the free lollipop he gives them, lol.
(5)Rick P.
Dinner on Sunday jan 12. Packed, and clearly a local favorite. Excellent spicy bruschetta, tried and enjoyed garlic pizza and buffalo chicken pizza. Very at tentative service. The restaurant front space is quite small, but noise is not a problem. For a quick, convenient and tasty meal, well worth a visit. Not particularly expensive, and good value for Naples.
(5)Chris S.
Quality food, good service, outside seating on a beautiful evening. Worth a repeat visit.
(5)M Y.
Great pizza and pasta.
(5)Eric G.
Real Neopolitan pizza. YOu can tell they make their own sauce using fresh ingredients and the crust is delicate and crispy. The pizzas are flavorful and have the right balance of fresh ingredients and sauce. Too often pizza place are just chewy crust with lots of cheese leaving you feeling overstuffed and bloated. This is real Italian pizza, fresh, crisp and flavorful.
(4)Neil S.
5 stars for a pizza place? Yup. But Cosmos is more than pizza. Our friends have come often; this was our first time. Friendly staff and great food. Bruschetta for the table, i had the chicken parm ( big and yummy), others had veal, eggplant parm, seafood ... All tasty. No room for deserts but the gelato was tempting.
(5)Stephanie S.
A true authentic Italian pizzeria said by an italian. Loved the fact the owner was here the whole night, waiters are Italian adding to the ambiance. We had the Sarda pizza in honor of the Sardinian restaurant, very but very good. Wouldve loved some pane carasau, everything was amazing. Our waiter, Eddie was also on spot, courteous, and friendly.
(5)Megan D.
Best. The bread they give you to munch on while you wait for pizza is a mouth watering preview to the main show. Delicious and thin pizza just the way it should be. The hand tossed pizza needed a little oregano because it is plain tomato sauce but still good. The only reason it didn't receive a 5/5 was most of the servers were more occupied with personal drama than their service.
(4)Elizabeth E.
Terrific service, delicious pizza! I was at Cosmos with a large party and we ordered several different pizzas. All were delicious with thin crispy crust, but the tomato, basil & garlic was my favorite!
(5)MA J.
This place has my favorite pizza in town, and it's always a pleasure visiting the restaurant even if it's just to pick up take out; the employees are very helpful and the owner is always so kind and humble with everyone. Cosmos has brought us authentic NY pizza to Naples, however the only reason I don't give 5 stars is cause they did it at a cost which they pass on to the customer. A bit overpriced, so a few promotions or coupons here and there wouldn't hurt. Love the place tho! Its important to not spike prices just cause "this is naples" and businesses can get away with it with all the big money in town; its an easy way to discourage customers from being loyal and up for dining in more frequently. Customers love places where they feel like their eating well while not overpaying.
(4)Kim A.
Let's preface this: I grew up in Chicago. This place was recommended to us by the owners and operators of Freddie's, one of my absolute favorite Bridgeport spots. I should be able to stop there, but, I won't. Pasta: fresh and homemade. Sauce: low acidity, high flavor. Pretty decent wine selection, and there is ONE Italian beer on the menu, which, of course, I drank. Everything was thoughtful and delicious. Seriously, if you ever find yourself in Naples, go here.
(4)David B.
Great pasta. The spaghetti with bacon was very flavorful. The lasagna was very good. The location is near the 5th avenue strip without the 5th avenue prices. It has a very homey feel It is a busy, busy atmosphere in the main room, with great interaction from the servers, which I enjoy.
(4)Jenny Q. V.
Pizza looks better then it taste but the caprese salad and bread rolls are yummy. They didn't have a changing table for my little one :/
(3)Michael D.
I've had everything from pasta to pizza, all over Italy to Saipan, and dated an Italian who cooked, and to say the least, the food is fantastic here. Service is awful though. We went here during their lunch hours and it took us fifteen minutes to get our drinks and orders and another twenty minutes to get our food. It wasn't a packed house either. Less than half the room was full, to include the outside dining as well. If you want a wonderful, traditional meal, it's a must go. Good luck on the service though. The food alone saved this restaurant.
(4)R W H.
The place is great, especially for pizza...best in Naples if your after a Lombardi's type of pie. The cannoli is awesome. The owner is great and the girls all make it feel like family. One of Naples best and very easy going.
(4)Michael F.
Pizza is good, very similar to what you find in New York. Personally prefer Aurellios and Valento's, but this is in the top three in Naples.
(4)Kevin F.
A great place for a low price. We are in from out of town on a photo shoot, and tried it because of a Yelp rating of 4.5 and were not disappointed. Everything was super fresh, right down to the cannolis for dessert. We've done shoots in Italy, and this was the next best thing to being there.
(5)Susan H.
5 stars!!! Absolute first choice for Pizza in Naples Fl hands down!!
(5)Matt G.
The pizza at Cosmos is fantastic -- this and Aurelios (which happens to be just a few doors down) are my two favorite spots for Pizza in Naples. I highly recommend the "Grandma's" style. Haven't had a chance to try the pasta here yet, but I can't imagine anything from this place would be bad. Last time we had dessert here as well, which was also terrific. Very homemade-looking tiramisu...mmm. Cons -- it's a small place and fills up quickly during tourist season. Worth the wait, though.
(5)Elisabeth H.
Cosmos is great! It's a red and white tablecloth restaurant with a super friendly staff! The pizza is yummy, the cosmos seafood pasta is great and make sure to order the garlic knots! I would go again.
(4)Trish P.
I had just flown into Florida and my husband and I decided that the first order of business was to have lunch. We drove by Cosmos and we decided to drive back. This was joyful eating! Food was amazing and the spaghetti and meatballs were outstanding! Loved the fact that everyone that works here is Italian. We really appreciated that after having been to Italy in June. This will become a regular haunt for us for the winter season we will be here!
(5)F M.
My family of 6 and I were looking for a quick, late meal on a Thursday night after watching the sunset at Naples Pier. It was about 8:40 and everything closes at 9. They were very welcoming and made us feel very welcome. The service was excellent. Pizza was piping hot and delicious..Thin crust but still tender. Did I mention the service?? Definitely recommend.
(5)Dave G.
Horrible service. Below average food. The owner even argued with me when I complained about the barely warm food after a 55 minute wait. He was more concerned about all the take out orders to worry about his sit down customers. Don't waste your time or money. Tombstone makes a better pizza anyway!!
(1)Bonnie S.
just unsure on huge deal over this place -- just keeping it real in feel . I mean, I guess being from different cities with top notch consistent superb pizza , this place just wont cut it-- pizza was just NOT tasty at alllll - this joint serves one big size pie to fit all - have entire pizza pie going for bids next me me right now lol lol -- I try and support local neighborhood joint, as one may see from my kick ass reviews yeah- however folks, not to rain cosmo on your local turf , but two thumbs down for my pizza obsessed able body !!!
(1)Tanya D.
This was our first time here and what a great experience! The restaurant was full when we arrived but the staff made us feel right at home as they served us a glass of wine and talked to us about the restaurant and where it came from while we were seated at an outside table. They took right to our two children that were with us making them feel very comfortable. We sat out on the patio while we waited for a table and they where very attentive. When we were finally seated I am not even sure how long we waited because we were already having a great time. One of us that we were with has a Gluten concern and they were able to recommend a pizza that he said was delicious and Gluten Free. Our pizza and salad was fantastic along with the service. The owner was very much part of our great experience as were the staff! The food was was very tasteful and the service fantastic I can't believe I have driven past this Gem so many times without even stopping! We will be back! Thanks again for making our evening much fun! Next time we might even have to arm wrestle the owner!!! Thanks again! See you soon!
(5)Marie R.
Best pizza in Naples, Fl by a mile! Authentic taste and excellent ingredients. Was disappointed tonight to find out they are closed on Sundays and was really looking forward to going.
(5)Ashley K.
Simple amazing top quality ingredients. Had mussels marinara and polenta w mozzarella and bolognese sauce, margherita slice and a cheese slice. SO DELICIOUS. We will absolutely be back!
(5)Kat T.
Cosmos is a Naples great. The best pizza and cannoli outside of Manhattan. A pretty casual atmosphere and the waitstaff swift. The shop next door is a great little deli.
(4)freddy v.
the food was so,so.... the owner very bad no class.. never will go again.. don't try it....
(1)Kristine B.
Coming from a Chicagoan who also lived in Italy, this pizza is fantastic... The food and the people make you feel like you are not far from Sardinia! Highly recommend it!
(5)Tanya S.
The best Marguerita Pizza ever - with fresh cheeses and basil. Also the pasta is fresh and authentic Italian. Owners are from Sardinia - which is a small island west of Rome. You will not be disappointed! 5 Stars!
(5)Marc F.
Naples does not have local neighborhood joints ....... This is one and it is so good. Gianlucca will welcome you like a long lost friend, pizza is great and pasta is delicious. Go soon.... You will turn into another regular!
(5)Mike H.
Great food and service! Pasta was perfectly cooked! Service was fast and friendly, my kids loved the pizza!
(5)Carolyn C.
This was our first experience at Cosmos restaurant and we were very disappointed. We chose Cosmos because of the reviews that were posted online. The arugula salad was ok but the mussels in red sauce and the cheese pizza were very disappointing. The cheese on the pizza was poor quality and very salty. We took our son,daughter-in-law and our grand children there specifically for the pizza. This restaurant is over priced and we won't be returning any time soon.
(2)Bill B.
Great pizza. I mean awesome pizza. The cosmos special is all I've ever had, and all I ever will have.
(5)Mary Lea P.
Service was great. The pizza was great and I loved the anti pasta salad . A great place to eat and spend time.
(5)Lea P.
Great Italian food in a friendly and inviting local atmosphere. The carbonara is to die for- instead of being overly creamy and heavy, it is light and has a great panchetta flavor. Nice wine selection. We ordered a take-out pizza from here another night and that was great too.
(5)Carly H.
Casual family friendly environment. You have to get the garlic roll appetizer! Warm buttery garlic rolls-too die for! We ordered a pizza half cheese (for the kids) half sausage and mushroom. The pizza only comes in one size...wish there were more choices. My husband had chicken pram and he really enjoyed it! Cosmos is a few blocks off the downtown strip but worth the short drive. Enjoy!
(5)Deb B.
Never would have stopped here. Very unassuming place in a small strip of places. 4.5 stars lured me in. Wow. Best pizza I have ever had. Crisp crust that had flavor. I had the florentine pizza. Very, very good. Tender buttery cheese. Fresh spinach and creamy ricotta. It was heaven. Gelato. Best I've ever had. Rich and creamy and full of flavor right to the last lick of the bowl. My friend had gnocchi with gorgonzola cream sauce. It was very rich and creamy. It could have used something fresh to accompany it but it was delectable.
(4)Matthew W.
Staying in the area we looked for something nearby to eat - BOOM - Cosmo's! WOW!!!! So happy we picked this place! My gf ordered the eggplant parm with spaghetti. I'm not a big eggplant fan but it was really good. The sauce was perfectly seasoned with great taste. I ordered the linguini with white clam sauce. A light white wine sauce with the perfect amount of garlic and not overwhelmed in butter. Only order this is you are ready for a clam-alanch! Both meals were very large portions.... if I liked eggplant more we could have split it and been happy. We will absolutely put this in our list for the next time we are in Naples!
(5)Albert A.
Pizza is good, but listen here : this place smells like dirty laundry rotting in your grandmother's crawl space. I'm mean, it is fowl. It is horrid. I mean you'd think these people would invest in some kind of air freshener. I'm not sure if it's a particular individual, group effort from the waitstaff or if the owner has done so much blow they can't smell how rancid their dining room stinks. Get yourself some carry out or delivery. The za' is good tho.
(3)Mew W.
By far our favorite find by accident! The service was attentive, kind and polite. We had the fried artichokes with a marinara and white sauce- delicious. Son had kids pasta with butter. And my husband tasted it and said he could have eaten that for dinner. DH and I had the supreme pizza. Best pizza we have eaten in as long as we can remember . The crust wax thin crispy and chewy- hard to achieve. Sauce not overwhelming but flavorful . Menu is extensive - wish we could try more. Owner making pizza in back. Had cappuccino - very good as well. If we ever come back to Naples. We will return!!!
(5)Ben M.
Great food. Super service. The mussels and clams in wine are super delicious. Grandma's pizza should be ordered. Enjoy.
(5)Mary T.
We came all the way from Minnesota for this pizza! We ate at Cosmos when we were here last year and stayed in Naples. This year we stayed in Bonita Springs but made the drive to Naples just for the pizza. The pizza is so tasty, I want to close my eyes with every bite and just enjoy. We shared a pepperoni pizza and a house salad. Both were delicious. Our service was excellent and everyone very friendly. It was loud inside the restaurant but it was from people talking and laughing, not the music as other reviews said. It is a pleasant atmosphere. So glad we came back.
(5)Chuck j.
Great pizza, we had the margherita with pepperoni and pineapple. Thin crust with chunky tomato sauce; it was delicious and enormous. We started with an antipasta, which was only OK. American cheese and cold cut pinwheels atop romaine, cukes, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, onions and olives. No hot peppers and the meat and AMERICAN cheese pinwheels were not kept cold apparently. It wasn't awful, just not good. The ambiance is comfortable, I'd definitely come back for the pizza.
(4)Ray B.
Great Pizza but today for the first time I ordered off the menu. Service was fast, great for limited time. I had the Spinach Ravioli. Very good, friend has Egg plant he said it was great.
(4)Guy C.
Service - 4 stars Food - 2/3 stars Got the orders right - 2 star Atmosphere - 1 star Parking - 1 star Value - 2 Sad that my second Yelp review has to be a bad one :( We used Yelp to "find" this place and everything looking ok but as you can see above it was anything but.... My biggest complaint was the lack of value. For the prices they were charging there was not enough food and the food we did get was not spectacular to boot. We are not big fat pigs and don't expect huge portions but we do expect value!! From the start with the "complimentary" loaf of bread which was so small, cold and looked like what I buy from Sam's club. It didn't come with herbs or butter just balsamic vinegar and plain oil. All the way to my main course it was all just "Lacking". My second big issue was how DAMN LOUD IT WAS INSIDE THE DINING ROOM!!!! Holy crapola batman! We seriously almost just got up and left. They played some sort of semi rock n roll type music and it was so loud that everyone around us (drunk snowbirds) were yelling and screaming and they didn't seem to care! I'm not going to waste any more of your time detailing all the small stuff, just trust me and don't eat here unless you are a snowbird and like to drink & eat in loud places that overcharge you for average food.
(2)Nikki T.
We ate here a year ago and it was great, but this time it was very disappointing! The pizza and garlic knots were chewy. The calamari was so bad that it was inedible! Very sad.
(2)David B.
There are times when Yelp knocks one out of the park and this one was definitely one of those times. This place smells like good Italian food. That's not by accident. Several people in that kitchen know what they are doing. That's coming from a chef of 16 years and a half Italian from Bologna. I've read several reviews of this place complaining of the noise level. I have a perfect explanation. That's the sound of people enjoying themselves. We enjoyed great service here too from the host to the bartender, the waitress and the busboys. The pizza here is some of the best I've ever had. The crust is excellent with great flavor and good chew. The mozzarella actually tasted like good cheese. It's a refreshing change from the nondescript no taste cheese that is usually piled high on other pizzas. Beverage service was also excellent with one of my favorite beers on draft Peroni. This place is a must try if you are in the area of Naples! A+
(5)W C.
Great place for a pizza and a drink. Being a local this place has great pizza and the bartenders are easy on the eyes. Great menu variety and beer / wine selection off the beaten path of fifth Ave.
(5)Nicole H.
Authentic delicious Italian. Our family is Italian from the Boston area. We know and love real Italian food. The food was delicious. We mostly had pizza but also a pasta dish. Delish. Salads were also excellent and fresh. I had the mixed greens salad. My pizza was the Eggplant Napoli and it was superb. The ricotta was creamy. All seasoning was perfecto. We asked about the ravioli and the make it themselves and make it fresh (not frozen). We can't wait to try that next time we go.
(5)Samuel Y.
My favorite Italian restaurant whenever I come down to visit. Do not let the pizzeria name mislead you, as this is more than just a pizzeria. The food here is pretty much the most authentic Italian food you can get. Anyone who has written a bad review probably does not like Italian food or has not tried authentic Italian cuisine. Upon entering this restaurant I thought it was going to be small and crammy, To my surprise, it actually had 3 wings and outdoor seating. The third wing has a bar (located toward the back corner). Take that for a Pizzeria. All of the pasta dishes were good. I LOVE their Spaghetti Carbonara. It spaghetti with bacon onions eggs and pepper. It's cheesed to an amount that you don't need to add any (most places never give you enough cheese). Whenever you order a pasta dish, you pretty much can have it with any kind of pasta you want so don't let the menu limit you. Speaking of limits, I'm convinced that this place has a secret menu. If an item is not on the menu, you could pretty much ask them to make something and if they have it they will make it for you. Take that for a pizzeria again! Desserts are limited but all homemade. Cheesecake mmmm. Overall good experience, great staff (John Luca, the owner, is the man!) , very casual. Would recommend.
(5)Anthony S.
This is a mediocre Italian restaurant Food not impressive Too bad the owner is not in the kitchen Veal Valdostana over cooked Veggies under cooked Pasta over cooked No parking Would not go back
(1)Richard F.
We were passing by in Naples, visitting some friends and they highly recommended this place... And they were right... Food, atmosphere and service were amazing... Our server Sasi did a great job, she was always on top of things we will definitely go back !!!
(5)Tony G.
Very rude staff. Noisy crowded environment. Rushed atmosphere. Food not much to talk about and portions rather small Parking is almost impossible. Waiting times worse. Prices High. Will not return
(2)Donny T.
I loved it. Very reasonably priced. Good pizza...the bruschetta was excellent. Beers were cold. Service was great. What else could you ask for?
(5)jen r.
yelp needs to update. the address is wrong they are right off of NORTH 5 avenue, not south 5 avenue. and they are not open on sundays!! we ordered take out on Monday night and cosmos was worth the drive over to pick since they don't deliver! the grandma style pizza was sooooo good. crispy crust with soft and gooey cheese in the middle. a perfect amount of tomato sauce.
(4)Bryan M.
Good ny style pie.. ordered peperoni and extra cheeese. . Was superb... Friendly staff even though I just ordered carryout everyone was friendly and helpful. . Price is a bit high but guess it's worth it! $20
(4)stephanie g.
Almost pure nostalgia for this south jersey italian and that should say plenty. The sauce tasted just like home and the crust was better than decent. Mmm. Salad was tasty, too. Just like home. It's probably one of the best pizzerias in Naples.
(4)Kenneth P.
Pizza is awesome but that is always a regional bias type food. All will agree that the burrata is perfect. Chef Leo makes the pasta fresh each day but if you are lucky enough to be there on a day when the Osso buco ravioli is on the menu as a special; sublime. Be sure to say "Hi" to Gianluca (erroneously aka Cosmo) and the red headed busboy when you go. ;)
(5)Ray S.
This was our first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food was great, atmosphere was fun and inviting, and the service was excellent! Prices are what you would expect to pay in Naples but not out of line. You will enjoy this dining experience.
(5)Taresa S.
Pizza is GREAT. But the mussels we're delish!!! My friend and I sat at the bar. The wine the bartender recommended was so good and not over priced like soooo many Naples places. I love the new bar area. The staff is so friendly and theres a ton of locals. Go now to this authentic Italian spot
(5)Laura J.
Pizza and bruschetta was delicious. The prices were very reasonable. I cannot wait to go back!
(5)Erin C.
I found this restaurant online and after reading the great reviews we decided to check this place out. We went last night-group of 5. Place was fairly busy but we were seated quickly. Everything started out great, excellent service for our entire stay. After we received our drinks the music in the place was turned up very loudly. It was blasting our table. We had drunk people sitting at the two tables we were surrounded by and the music was contemporary-soft rock...HORRIBLE...Just seemed to make them more obnoxious. My son ordered Pizza which the server ordered a large instead of a personal size...pizza was decent tasting, but he only ordered one topping and it hardly had that one topping on it. I ordered Chicken Marsala...Meh I definitely have had better. Sauce did not taste fresh and the veggies-not green beans- were served raw with olive oil and raw garlic. The veggies were absolutely disgusting. My Husband and Father both ordered the Antipasto salad and both were not very excited about them. Salads were on smaller plates and barely had any meat or cheeses on them. My Mother had Lasagna and also said that she has had better at other places. Nothing stood out as excellent to us on our trip and we won't be going back. Tourist trap is what this place is.
(2)Karl L.
Because the place was packed we sat at the bar to wait for a table, but our bartender was delightful and we decided to stay there to eat. He was only 3 months from Italy and was as authentic as the food. I had the taglietelle di Nonna that grandma (Nonna) made that morning, fresh and delicious! The bolognese and buffala mozzarella made a total package that can't be beaten. Fettucine Alfredo tasted more of the grass from the fresh cream than of the garlic and parmesan at cheaper places (or even mine from home) and was off-the-hook! Lamb shanks were the special that night and, while I didn't get one, they looked awesome. Drink pours were heavy and gellato was soft (as it should be) and again, crazy good.

Stay FAR FAR AWAY from this place. $9.00 per drink. You have to be kidding me. Go rip of some other idiot. I will spread the word around town that you are a high class RIP OFF!!!!

Napolis was good, but this may be better. If you've been to NYC or North Boston, and had a slice you HAD to fold, with a great crust and enough cheese, without too much seasoning, you probably loved it. Napoli's is close to this. This is a great NYC pizza, served by the slice, that will fill you up but you'll just want one more.

I ordered a pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni and black olives. The toppings were thrown on top of the pizza in no particular order and showed a complete disrespect for the presentation. Very few pieces of pepperoni. I was told it would be ready in 55 minutes. When I got there in a little under 55 minutes, the pizza was flat out cold. $24 for a large pizza and no pride was not a good value!

I can't believe everyone is raving about this pizza. I didn't think it was great at all. and as a matter of fact was highly disappointed. Also we got charged $6.95 for Fries!!! $6.95 I could not believe it they were just frozen fries. Asked about it and oh boy they took $2.00 off still too much. Cosmos is over priced and really not that great when it comes to pizza.

It's been a long time since I've had a good slice of authentic New York pizza. The bar is now set very high for the next place I try. The garlic knots taste like they came straight out of little Italy. The service was top notch. The pizza was as close to NY as I've had outside of the state. We had a meat lovers, plain cheese, and white pizza. There isn't a single negative comment I can make about Cosmos. I will definitely be stopping here again on my next trip to the area.

The food is incredible. I make sure I visit this little gem when I'm in Naples and it hasn't disappoint. Very authentic Italian food and service to match. I have to try the pizza sometime because it looks delicious as well.

Dear Cosmo's...you might want to update your hours online!!!! From Chicago and visiting. Drove from Bonita Springs for dinner. Yelp and web search shows you are open. Not good for hungry customers that drove out your way to eat!

Bruschetta was delish, on great bread which is hard to find here in Florida. Pizza was very good also.

I have been here many times and it is always great. The pizza is delicious and the servers are very friendly. I enjoy sitting outside as they have fans and heaters to accommodate most weather conditions.

The pizza was fairly decent and moderately priced. Beautiful restaurant with great art work and a nice bar area.

The pizza was not the best I have ever had, but OMG - the spaghetti with meatballs. The best ever, and I am a spaghetti connoisseur. I can't wait to go back - I will skip the pizza and order the spaghetti & meatballs dinner portion. The interior of the restaurant is not that nice, but the food is great. They have outdoor seating, but being right on Tamiami Trail, there is a lot of traffic and very noisy.

A few days ago we met friends at Cosmos for dinner. This is a very busy Italian restaurant which seems to be continually expanding and now occupies three rooms, each rather dingy and colorless. The staff was friendly and our waiter most solicitious. I had Chicken Francaise which was quite tastey but my dish was accompanied only by a meager portion of overcooked veggies. My wife enjoyed her chicken Picatta. One friend who happens to be Italian felt her Chicken Parmigian was at best, average. Her husband complained his Pasta Alfredo lacked enough cheese and seasoning and required his adding abundant parmesan as well as salt and pepper. Overall the fare was...fair but I will probably give cosmos another chance.
