First time eating at aurelio's. It started off really well. The Brazilian hostess that seated us was so friendly. We ordered a half cheese half pepperoni fiesta pizza. The biggest size they have on their menu. It was big enough to serve 5 people. The sauce was a little sweet but all in all good tasting. I will definitely come back here. Especially because of the nice brazilian hostess. Definitely give her a tip when you get in.

Pizza was really good. Service was terrible..Maybe I was just in at a bad time but I had to go looking for the bartender every time. Then had to remind her about condiments I had asked for.I was one of only 4 patrons in the entire restaurant. Its on my to go list, to many great wait staff in Naples to ever dine in ......

My Grandma and Suzy wanted to go somewhere simple for Dinner and whats more simple than Pizza. It's right behind a mall that Suzy usually goes to (I can't remember the name), It was 8:30 at night and when we walked in and were sat down immediately. It was a choice between the Bar or Wooden Booths, so we sat in a Booth We got some Waters and a Soda and we were debating on what toppings we wanted for our Pizza Toppings. Mostly Grandma and Suzy wanted Black Olives and Artichokes (I was gonna add some like Bacon and Garlic, but each topping was like 2.00 to 3.50 per Topping and I was outruled. So I wasn't gonna argue with them so I did it their Way). It took like 12 to 16 and then it came out a Pizza with a lot of Black Olives and Artichokes (I enjoyed it, I honestly didn't think I was but I did. This would be something a Vegetarian would sit down to, Artichokes were Tender and the those Olives gave it a bit of Saltiness, the Tomato was Sweet and Rich and the Cheese was Cheesy, What can I say). The waitress came with the Bill and we paid it (but then she got something Wrong, they noticed that she accidentally charged an extra 2 bucks to the Bill so we told her about it and she fixed the problem, it was an Honest Mistake. I enjoyed dinner here, Pizza tastes good, it tastes homemade. The atmosphere is good I'd grab another Pizza or 2 next time.

Rough start as we stood waiting, then were ignored by a staff member who walked by us. I smiled at him but he kept walking past us to take an order from a take out at the bar. We waited and saw no one around, my husband took menus and we sat ourselves. Thoughts were to leave, (you get the feeling you may get burned), but we stayed, adventurous couple that we are. When the server came, we asked if the man was the manager. He said no, it was the bartender. Now it made sense, he wouldn't make money seating us. We got into a discussion with the server and from that point on, the tide turned for the better. He was smart to notify the manager, who came to our table. Manager Eric was great, he apologized, he was warm and welcomed our suggestion to have Italian sandwiches "wet" fully dipped in the juice, the CHicago way. He made up for it all. Even surprised us by wetting my husband's sandwich, though it is not the norm. I came to compare the Gluten Free pizza with the old Aurelio's downtown. Well, they won. The sauce is the difference, ordered the exact same spinach and garlic and hands down this one won my stomach over. They have 2 sizes now, personal size is only $7.99, plenty as it is thick and very tasty, just like a piece of pie. My husband also likes his sandwich better than the old place. This one came with fries, not chips. We decided we would return. The fact they offer Sierra Mist is the cherry on top. Want to suggest that they have a Happy Hour on Fridays. Looks like they could use it, the bar was empty, maybe then the Bartender will smile more too.

Excellent Pizza, definitely one of the best in the area. Salads and Appetizers are also delicious. Although we had a party of 20 people, service was quick and friendly. Great ambience, bar, and some televisions for watching sports. Fixtures and tables look new and chairs are comfortable!

We had a 15" pizza and shared a salad for 3 of us and still had a few slices to take home. Good pizza - not awesome but good. The thin crust was good just not the typical Italian pizza dough. This was different but still good and crispy. We will probably be back since we haven't found anything better yet. The waiter was excellent - he advised on the size of pizza and salad and checked in with us and kept the table clear of used plates.

Unfortunately, my husband and I did not get to try Aurelio's Pizzeria. The minute we walked in the door, we were "greeted" by a young waitress who gave us a dirty look, sighed loudly, and told us that the ovens were turned off. This was 40 minutes prior to closing. Ummm, thanks for the welcome and sorry to inconvenience you! We ended up walking out and going elsewhere. Shame on you Aurelio's for allowing your staff to treat customers this way!

Prompt service! Friendly wait staff. Had an antipasto and a cheese, thin crust, personal pizza, which was a little small but both were very good. I will go back!

Decent restaurant in a mall setting. Service was great and the food was tasty. Good atmosphere and decor. Tried the spinach calabrese - it was good. Get the extra sauce on the side. I'll be back to try their pizzas.

5 Star! I've been to Aurelio's in the South Loop, South Suburbs of Chicago, NW Indiana, Colorado and Vegas and the service, quality and atmosphere are top notch here. In fact, we used to go to the old location in Naples and were always puzzled as to why the quality wasn't up to par... Found out the other location was stripped of their franchise rights because they did not use the correct ingredients (trying to cut costs). Just had the server Carlos, who was outstanding! He even offered to warm our left over pizza as we walked around the mall! Great job anticipating the needs of the customer.

I usually go here for pizza and is very good. However decided to get the appetizer sampler. This was a mistake, they need to change their oil. Everything was over fried just terrible. Stay with the pizza, everything else on the menu is not very good.

The service was terrible. We ordered an appetizer which came out after our pizza. We asked to have the appetizer as soon as possible since we had a hungry child. We ordered a deep dish pizza and got a thin crust while the booth behind us ordered thin crust and got deep dish. I understand mistakes are made but what was so irritating was the waiter shrugged his shoulders saying sorry, did not offer any alternatives to make it right, and ignored us until the end of the meal. The pizza is tasty but they obviously don't care about customer service or if we will ever return.

Growing up in the 'burbs of Chicago, this was one of my favorite places to get a pie. I was shocked when we discovered that there was an Aurelio's in Naples and had to try it. I gotta say, the flavors were similar, they ship the ingredients in from Chicago, but it just wasn't the same. The crust was thicker, and the consistency was just different. Maybe it really is the lake Michigan water that's missing? I guess if I chew it a while, then close my eyes, I can kinda get the feeling that I'm back in Chi town, but then I quickly realize I'm not. Nice try Aurelio's, I will probably be back hoping this visit was a fluke.

Had trouble locating this newer location in the mall. Waiter heard our order incorrectly, brought wrong pizza and kindly offered to replace, but who wants to wait another 20 minutes when a pizza is sitting there and it's late? A discount would have been nice. Pizza was delicious, but not as good as it used to be at former Naples location. Seems like it used to be crispier with Parmesan sprinkled on bottom of pan. We will return, but not with same mouth watering desire as before.

My wife is from Chicago and when we saw Aurelio's while doing last minute Christmas shopping at the mall we made sure to bring the whole family for dinner two days later. Worst mistake ever. It took an hour for us to be seated (after they told us it would be 20 minutes). Then it took40 minutes for the food to come, but when it came all they brought was food for one of our party. They said "Oops, we lost your order, sorry". By the time the food finally arrived it was 2 hours from when we walked in the door and most of our party had left because of the wait. Those of us who stayed thought the pizza sucked. It was nothing like Aurelio's from the Chicago suburbs that we have been to many times. Horrible experience. We'll never go back and I'm doubtful we'll ever go to the Chicagoland restaurants again. Avoid this place. It is not what you think it is.

They're back! Thank goodness! We used to eat at the old Aurelio's in Naples and looked forward to it everytime we visited. They had great food but then it rapidly went downhill - finally to the point we wouldn't go back. Now this one has opened under new ownership and it is every bit as good, if not better than the old one used to be! The pizza was awesome and the service was great. Now we have Aurelio's to look forward to from now on!

Earlier this evening I ordered a "stuffed" cheese pizza for pickup. I am from Chicago visiting Naples. I called Aurelios and asked for deep dish; the woman said they dont have "deep dish", but that stuffed was similar, so I ordered a small. After picking up the pizza and driving home, I opened the box and was disappointed. The pizza was barely 1/2 inch thick. When I picked up a slice, the dough was saturated in butter, which literally dripped onto the floor. I tried to take a bite, but the dough was hard, rubbery and simply disgusting. I could not eat it and threw it out. I have never thrown out a pizza in my life. $16 for this poor quality pizza is robbery. Calling this 1/2 inch thick pizza "stuffed" is deceptive to customers. I tried to send a complaint on the Aurelio's website but the site would not allow me to submit.

Worse service I have ever experienced. Over an hour wait for small pizza's. Poor management. Run from this place.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
