A bunch of us rode the Harleys over to My Dora today... Stopped at Jeremiah's.. Great food..great service from our server Briana..

Would never come back, slow service. Wanted tacos and was told they only serve them in their smoke infested bar. Not in the dining area. Very disappointed, will never come back or recommend.

Oh man, what happened to this place?!? We drove to Mount Dora only to find Rocking Rabbit closed (on a Thursday?!?) and remembered Jeremiah's was a decent restaurant. I guess when I wrote my original review back in 2010 it WAS decent. But look at the trend now! The best part of the experience was the service. We were seated promptly and helped by a friendly server who did her best. First we were brought FLAT beer. Both our beers! Two different kinds... she said it was the same CO2 line for all the beer. It was happy hour (2-4-1) and we were brought fresh beers. They still weren't quite right... Then the food- my son's cheese pizza looked absolutely disgusting. It had the most processed looking white cheese (obviously frozen). My "special" was a pineapple teriyaki salmon that came with two sides. I chose a house salad with "homemade" ranch dressing and rice pilaf. The house salad was the plainest salad you could imagine and the dressing wasn't anything special. When the entree arrived I almost laughed! It was a tiny piece of fish that looked so sad with PLAIN WHITE RICE. The fish was obviously frozen as well. It kind of ticked me off because I specifically asked the server what kind of rice was served and was told wrong. And the worst part is my pathetic meal cost $18! You have GOT to be kidding! It really wasn't even worth $5. We will never be back to Jeremiah's. What a shame!

Great lunch tavern food with nostalgia laden walls like a local bar that is hiding under a friendly diner front a good casual lunch spot. The back has a large outdoor bar overlooking the parking lot just in case you want to watch your car. Menu pretty much fried and broiled fare skip the quiche and spinach salad you will want to go strait to the fried fish, chicken and burgers. Had the fried cod basket also tried the other guests food and was impressed. You won't see the bottom of your glass...they are watching and quickly refill with a smile be ready to get full laugh and leave a generous tip. The servers here look out for each other and take care of the customer.

I really don't have anything good nor bad to say about this place is your typical bar on a Friday or Saturday night I'm not a drinker so I didn't drink any alcohol but I do drink a mixture of juices and my juice came back tasting really weird. as far as entertainment it's ok nothing nothing to brag about I have actually never went back.
(3)Jennifer R.
Despite what other reviews say this place isn't that bad. I actually enjoy it from time to time. No, it's no gourmet cuisine but it's always a decent meal with decent prices. The service can be spotty depending on the staff of the season but there are always hose few awesome staples that are there always. Once you're done with your meal, go out back to the new bar, grab a drink, and people watch... Trust that this will not disappoint. Especially if it's an evening or weekend.

Jeremiahs had gone thru a bad patch - but they've recovered and are better than ever. You just can't beat a local haunt that serves a great selection of on- tap beers along with a varied menu. I had a great burger and my wife thoroughly enjoyed a blackened chicken Alfredo ......how's that for selections It is definitely the best priced restaurant in a very expensive town for a good meal and a couple of brews

If I could, I wouldn't give this place one star. I just ate there and had the worst steak I've ever eaten. It came out cold and tasteless. I actually had to put ketchup on it for some flavor!!!! The waitress was inattentive and stale. She didn't fill my tea or check on us until we were finished completely. My fiance had a steak and it was cold too. It also had mushrooms from a can on top of it.

We went here after Renningers to grab a bite to eat. The wait was 30 minutes, so you expect it to be pretty good. It was not. I had the crab cake sandwich. It was nothing special. The tartar sauce was also totally bland. One of my tablemates ordered a prime rib and the first one came out ice cold. The second one was overcooked. There are lots of better places to eat in Mt. Dora, so I would try one of them first. Don't waste your time here.

Tried to have a few drinks and dinner. Waited for thirty five minutes no one ever waited on us. We even asked the hostess if we could get someone to wait on us. We noticed two other tables of customers whose drink glasses were empty when we sat down they too never had a server check on them. This was at five pm on the patio we ultimately left had a great meal and service elsewhere

I give three stars because Jeremiah's is all around ok. The place can be very crowded, so they are doing something right. Prices are pretty fair. The BEER choices are awesome! Atmosphere: outside is best, a big outdoor bar and a good amount of tables. If you sit by a smoker however, you will inhale smoke with every bite. There are fans above that barely rotate, so the smoke hangs in the air, even tho you're sitting outside. When is FLA going to outlaw this assault on fresh air anyway? ..but I digress... ps: the parking lot being so close to outdoor tables is not deal, but they don't have anywhere else for cars to park except a few spaces up front. Service: fair to really good depending on who you get. The ladies working the outdoor bar on Friday, April 4, 2014 were awesome! Food: mediocre and they just have know this! Don't let menu item descriptions fool you. Fresh caught lightly fried grouper really means thick coating over small bits of fish that separate when you take a bite. I've given up on their fried food... it's never been good in the past few months since I've been coming here. Even their chicken wings fall way short when compared to Froggers, for instance. Hell, fried bar food is not healthy anyway, so I suggest taking a break from it when dining here. Stick to the non-fried sandwiches and burgers - they use the freshest bread - a big plus! I have yet to try salads, etc. BEER: let's get down to business here: they have great choices of draft beer which is always a plus. Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is outstanding, and it seems to be 2 for 1 every time we've been there. Love it! Bottom line: while there are better choices in Mt Dora, we've enjoyed most of our experiences enough to return to Jeremiah's. Frankly, they would be too busy to notice if we didn't come back!

I had the Jeremiah's steak and my wife had the deep fried shrimp. My steak was excellent! Season just right and cooked to perfection. Something that so many restaurants lack. My salad was good. My wife's shrimp had a different type of breading it was very good. Waitress was prompt and very nice.
(3)Robert D.
Big menu, large (20+) yet not broad draft selection, large outdoor patio seating and bar and large dining room. The menu is an expanded pub-grub menu, which was fryer heavy. They handled our table of 10 with ease on a slow night even though they had to move us inside when it started raining. Don't let the 2 stars fool you, I would recommend Jeremiah's for a night of drinks or dinner.
(2)Angela B.
A great restaurant to take the family. Food is traditional American. I LOVE the fried chicken salad. It's more than one person can eat with tons of ingredients. Our waitress was Cindy and she was very polite and attentive. The patio is perfect for larger crowds and if you want to bring your pooch this place will accommodate.
(5)Theresa H.
This is my second time here and the food doesn't get any better. I ordered the special which was fried grouper. It comes with French fries and cole slaw. It came in a small oval platter with fries on the bottom and the big brown fried rectangle on top. I tried to cut into the fish and my fries flew off the plate. The crust came apart and the fish was a small piece. More crust than fish. The cole slaw didn't have any taste. I gave some to my husband and he didn't like it. Will not be coming back. There are better place in Mt. Dora.

First time eating here. Our lunches were a Turkey BLT on a pretzel roll-not bad, Traditional Club-it was ok, and Crunchy Grouper sandwich-was pretty good. Service: while it was not the worst it was enough. Our server seemed to have attitude, almost as if we were interrupting her day. This place would be great if it were on the water although if they planted hedges to buffer the back parking lot from the patio it would definitely help. We will not return, too many other places in Mount Dora to eat.
(2)Jason L.
OK fajitas, but some of the worst service I've ever experienced. Wish we went somewhere else.
(2)James W.
Food good. Service awful. I was parched the entire meal after asking twice for water. Non locals appear unwelcome.
(2)John B.
Another great local establishment. All the food I've ever ordered there has been excellent.
(5)Katie W.
This place wasn't bad if you're looking for somewhere with locals and average pub food. My mother LOVES this place, she says they have the best ribs she's ever had. I and my husband would beg to differ. The food was edible, but certainly not a place I feel like we need to return to every time we visit Mt. Dora. It also seemed a little dirty and there were A LOT of people smoking at the outside bar. I would love to sit outside, especially on those gorgeous Florida nights, but not with a face full of smoke in my food. Inside was OK, maybe a little dirty.
(2)Harry R.
Interesting decor, friendly service, not the cleanest place in the world. Burger and fries were solid. Fries had that crunchy-outside, soft-inside thing happening that makes eating something terrrible for you seem like a great decision. Steak and cheese was enough to keep me on the ropes for the remainder of the afternoon. Onions and mushrooms were nicely sauteed, I swapped out mozzerella for swiss, and added lettuce/tomato/mayo. Maybe it was the pile of steak/roastbeef that came on top of the bun. It was good, don't get me wrong, but it had me doing some soul-searching a few hours later.
(3)Lisa J.
Always like this place. They have a diverse menu, from chicken wings to prime rib. I've had both and they are great. Servers are attentive without being overbearing. Prices are good.
(4)Lanena L.
My husband and I dine here weekly! It's close to his office so it's nice and convenient! Staff is always very friendly!! We've never had any complaints with anything we've ordered. Would like them to add more healthier options to the menu though! Only a few salads to choose from. The burgers/ wraps & sandwiches are all great! Fast & very affordable! :)

Decent place to meet friends, the food is hit or miss , the bar gets so smoky it is hard to stay in after 9 or 10 pm
