Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

My daughter and I went there on a Friday evening. We had reservations and were seated immediately in a cute little table - nice, quiet atmosphere - by a very friendly waiter. After looking over the menu, I informed him that I was gluten intolerant and asked for his recommendations. He explained that they had gluten-free pasta and everything they made was freshly made and could accommodate my dietary restrictions with only a few exceptions. My daughter chose the lobster ravioli and was blown away - I thought she was going to lick the plate! I had the veal Marsala and was amazed: the chef did not put the coating on the veal and left the flour out of the sauce for me! The chef actually came out to make sure everything was to our liking. When dessert time came, my daughter had what she called the best tiramisu she had ever had, while I found they had no gluten-free options. I decided to have the cannoli, thinking I just would eat the filling. Lo and behold, the waiter brought my plate: the chef had piped just the filling into beautiful 'flowers' around the plate with chocolate and blueberries as decorations! I have never had such delicious accommodations made for me! We will be back!!

Dinner with wife and parents on second trip to Mt. Dora. Recommended by owners of Grandview B & B where we stayed. Several restaurants in town closed on Monday night so it was busy. Service was slow and it took multiple asks for our spread -too-thin server to get us napkins and bread. Despite that, we would give it another try because food was very good! I had Sacchettini, a delicious, creamy, rich pasta dish with a hint of sweetness from the pears. Wife and mom had penne vodka and they seemed to enjoy. Dad had linguine with clams and he loved it. Both couples shared a delicious and substantial house salad. Loved the grilled bread brought to the table.

First time here since Giannis moved from Eustis to Mt. Dora. We stopped in for a very late lunch (or early dinner) 3:00 on Sunday 12/21. The restaurant was empty but that could have been due to the time. We were able to choose our table so we opted for the upstairs dining. Very quiet and intimate. We started with Tomato Bisque and Pasta Fagioli - both very hot and fresh. The Bread was triangular, toasted, buttery and with garlic. My husband loved them and asked for seconds. I had the Veal Capriccioso paired with the house Malbech - delicious and the half I could not finish was just as good for lunch the next day. Scott had Rigatoni Bolognese and enjoyed every bite. No room for dessert. There was eclectic music playing that I absolutely loved. Big Band, Bouble, Armstrong, Nora Jones, Sinatra. I really like this look and feel for Giannis and the food was excellent. Our server Brandon was friendly and helpful with recommendations and always present when we needed him even though we were upstairs. An all in all great experience.

My wife Christina and I had a wonderful meal at this authentic Italian restaurant, newly relocated in downtown Historic Mount Dora. I started with a wonderful cup of their Pasta e fagioli. It was exquisite and authentic (no meat, right ratio of pasta to beans). My wife had the lobster ravioli, with shrimp and prosciutto in a white wine reduction sauce. It was all fresh and outstanding! I had a staple on the menu, Bolognese, any didn't not disappoint! The wine menu complement of the food with mostly Italian wines. I would suggest starting with an incredible bottle of sparkling Prosecco. It was a great wine and a fair price. With food like this, other downtown Mount Dora restaurants who consider themselves "Italian" have a new standard to meet.

Best Italian food. Chef comes and checks on you and is the owner. Salads are huge. Desserts are amazing. Especially the blueberry cheese cake. Pasta is perfectly fresh and flavorful. Chicken with white wine reduction sauce is buttery goodness. I recommend sitting upstairs.

Restaurant was fully booked, however they graciously accommodated us. Food was good, but priced a little high. Waitstaff was very friendly and attentive.

Newly opened in downtown Mt Dora, FL. What a refreshing change from what people think Italian has to be. I had Caesar salad , the best I had with the exception of one I had at the Broadmoor hotel. For my main course it was Chicken cacciatore, with pasta. The sauce was light and full flavor, all with the freshest ingredients. Ended with the chocolate cake triple layered, WOW!

I had the privilege of eating dinner here tonight. While I would not describe this restaurant as "kid friendly", they were very accommodating to are large party including my young children. The wine was good. They had an array to choose from. The service was very good. They were on top of our table and made sure to respond to us in a timely manner. But, most importantly, the food was exceptional! Best pasta dish I've had in my entire life!!!! I can't speak for the rest of the table, but the saganoki (sp?) was insane! Pursed pasta filled with cheese and pear (sounds strange, but incredible) with a white wine reduction sauce and shrimp. Amazing!!!!!! The bruschetta was tasty too. The other dishes seemed good, but didn't seem as original. I loved loved loved this! It also was nice that the chef/owner came to check on our table and didn't seem to mind our picky children and their need for more bread!

It is nice to have a new and authentic Italian restaurant in town. We found the food excellent. The service WAS slow - and it was odd that we had to ask the waiter for a glass of wine! The biggest problem.....price. As nice as this restaurant is, it cost two of us $100.00 for two pasta entree's (both good), a couple of glasses of wine and one appetizer. For the type of food, service and ambiance, that was way too much.
