We just landed and craving Peruvian. Yelped this place and soooo appreciative of fellow yelpers; I ordered the fish ceviche and so glad I did not only is it the freshest ceviche I've had but it had everything that a ceviche plate should have. My bf had the macho fish it was pretty tasty according to him it was authentic. They even have the Peruvian brand drinks "selva" We had the passionfruit selva. Yummieeeeee Very friendly service and everything was fresh! Will be coming back soon

El Fogon is a sit-down but fast place to eat good Peruvian food. The Ceviche there is surprisingly good and it is very affordable. As mentioned in some earlier reviews, the service is pretty bad. I would not blame the waitresses as they seem very over-worked and I think that the service would improve if they put one or two more bodies in there. Also, their liquor license was expired surprisingly.

The chicken here is outstanding. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. If you've been to la granja, you know the pattern: - great peruvian food - good prices - huge portions - onions on the side. ;) I have to say, la granjas rice and beans are better, but the chicken here is unbeatable. Still waiting to try the ceviche, but I've heard it out of this world too. Well worth a try. Or if you are like me, put into weekly rotation...

Heard so many goods about this place I wanted to try everything. I had 1/4 chicken with rice & black beans and mixed seafood ceviche. A quarter chicken with 2 sides is $4.25- can't believe it. The chicken was moist and really flavorful and there were 3 different types of sauces you could eat. Nothing special about the beans- the rice was so flavorful but part of it was undercooked and that's a big no no. Ceviche was good and the portion was huge! Way too much for 1 person.

Where "No" means "Yes". In order to cut back on expenses I've been telling my coworkers "No" when asked to go to lunch. El Fogon has made me "easy" since I can never say "no" and mean it! all I do is think of the many delicious offerings on the menu. The ceviche is really good and with meals starting at $3.50 - you can't say "No"! I enjoy the Lomo (or Pollo) Saltado and between us, it's actually better than my Mom makes! So stop holding out and live a little...with these prices, you can live A LOT! I didn't award El Fogon 5 Stars only because there is ALWAYS some kind of unreasonable delay in our orders (someone is always left waiting 5 min). One time the cashier actually told me that the order was coming out slow because they needed to finish cooking the ceviche (I know it has to marrinate but is 5 min really going to make a difference? They should have said there was none ready to serve yet).

I went to El Fogon for the fist time this sat, me and my husb had lunch there....the food is amazing!!!!!! The seafood is delicious... Everything is so hot and fresh i loved it. I can't wait to go back... Its so much food and so good! And the prices are amazing! Though i do think tha the service to eat there could improve... Since its so good there were many people and only 2 waitresses. But if you want good food, thats THE place to go!

For the price you pay and the amount of food that you get, its well worth the trip if you're in the neighborhood. I always get the half chicken with rice and beans (i know, typical, but I stick to what I like!). I tried the maduros one time, but when I saw the lady taking the maduros out of those industrial size bags that says Maduros, I knew it wasn't cooked fresh, and you can taste the massed produced not freshly made by grandma from scratch flavor. The bean soup was huge and scrumptous. And you gotta try the garlic mayo sauce, yummers! The reason for the 4 stars is the slow service. On one occasion, the credit card machine wasn't working and even with half of the customers leaving, I ended up waiting 25 mins for my main meal. Its a family restaurant, so its understandable, they were very nice and apologetic for the wait. Next time, I'll just call for take out!

This Peruvian restaurant is family owned and have the best chicken in town. I don't know what it is about the rotisserie chicken, but it never fails for my family when we are hungry. Prices are unbeatable and the food is always fresh and tasty. The salad is simple and works well with the menu, and you have to try their sauces! The delivery man knows my house as we order at least once a week. I have not tried the other items on the menu which will be next on the agenda for Fogon. I recommend it highly to anyone that wants a home cooked Peruvian meal delivered to your doorstep.

Mind blowing fish ceviche! And pretty good paella too! This is a family run Peruvian restaurant. Friendly service, generous portions, great food. They have a "fusion" menu that includes traditional favorites as well as sandwiches, fried rice dishes (also really good) and the like. They have a rotisserie and offer great chicken dishes/lunch combos. Excellent prices and they deliver too. They need more veggie/salad options. (I get a salad from Panera around the corner and then come back here for the meat. :-) We come here often.

Beware! Worst paella ever, they call "seafood paella" to this tasteless yellow dough with octopus and one or two shrimps. I tried many paellas good and bad but this is something else, it is the worst.
