great breakfast for even greater prices. I came here after a long workout session for their breakfast. I was initially turned off by the outside aesthetic of the location. Once inside, I was welcomed by the attentive staff and the tantalizing smell of the food. I ordered eggs with spinach and bacon. I could barely finish the plate even on an empty stomach. A definite must try!

Let's start with the positives.... The quality of the food is undoubtedly fresh. My wife had fried tilapia and grits with a side of French toast. And for myself I had the chicken and waffles, it was a great big fluffy homemade waffle and fried chicken wings. Amazing taste combo, the batter used for both the chicken wings and my wife's tilapia were freshly made. Everything served was tremendously delicious. No complaints when it comes to taste. Now! Let's talk about the negatives...... (Sigh) The portion was disappointing, I wish they can just add more of the wings and maybe another waffle. I wouldn't mind paying more for a specialty dish like the chicken and waffles. Also the service was slow but it is understandable given the fact that they claim everything is made from scratch. The price is to be expected for the style of cuisine that is served. All in all it was a fair experience.

This one of my worse eating out experience ever! This was my first and last time eating here. It took and hour to get our food and it came out in bits and pieces. I asked for cheese on my grits and never got it. It took another 30 minutes just to get toast. l felt bad complaining to our waitress because she was really nice and appologitic. And it was the 2 cooks that could not get it together in the kitchen. Needless to say I was very disappointed and could not really enjoy my food.

Service can be slooowwww and seating extremely difficult but the food is worth it all. The shrimp and grits are the best I have had to date! The flavors and seasoning was excellent!!! The prices aren't bad either. The inside is humble looking and even paying the check takes time but this place is definitely a find!

1st off , food is made from scratch so expect a loonnnnnggg wait. The servers are nice but not very attentive due to the fact that theres only 2 of them serving like 100 ppl at once. So make sure you come here with lots of patience, if not dont even bother because you will be disappointed. And watch out for cleaniness, this place was a mess when we walked in, 2 tables were sitting empty for at least 10 minutes before someone came to clean it up after the last person which is a really bad impression if you come for the first time. And the seats and floors were all sticky and full of dirty napkins and utencil plastic wrappings..So after the extremely long wait, when the server brought us our waffles and french toast, we had to ask for everything you usually get with it.( butter, syrup, etc) which is a little annoying due to every breakfast place you go to gives you everything at once or brings it at least before it comes to the table. The tilapia with grits was great, pretty good size serving. Loved the thin fried crust and the seasoning. Definitely tasted fresh and not like frozen fish. The french toast was good but a bit disapppointing of presentation, they had ran out of powered sugar which comes standard with french toast. Definitely despite of all the long wait and not so great service , i do recommend to eat here at least once and probably order your food to go for the future. It is worth it for homemade southern food for take out! This place has great potential but needs to have a little better manangement to be able to deal with the amount of people that come to dine-in.

So far the service has been okay. I ordered fried shrimp and grits. When I received it they were the frozen pre-battered kind. I thought they would be freshly made so I wasn't too pleased. I then ordered the fried catfish, which was seasoned and tasted okay. The prices are okay and it's conveniently located for me.

I was sketching about going to this place because of location, but after reading the reviews I had to try it. The food was great it was like I cooked it at home. it was like eating at waffle house but cleaner and friendlier, Small but the staff is friendly and inviting. I will be going back

Small but packs a big punch. It's a family owned restaurant with about 10 booths total. You wouldn't think it from looking at the metal bars outside but it has a nice homey diner feel. When walked in, I was shocked to see the place at capacity! We managed to get into the last open booth but still ended up having to wait a while before getting served. That is my 1 complaint, the service. Our waitress was nice and pleasant but not as attentive. My boyfriend is all about his water when he eats. He judges the service level by whether or not his glass gets filled without him having to ask. Here he constantly had to ask. Other than that the food was great, what you'd expect from a small family owned place. The steady stream of people coming in to pick up their orders was proof. Oh and the coffee alone is reason enough for us to come back!

This place is truly a diamond in the ruff, if you don't pay close attention you will drive right past it. Seems to be a small family owned diner w/ friendly staff and French Toast is to die for. Will definitely visit again. Oh yes the prices are reasonable too!

Seriously, I would have driven right by this place. But someone insisted they have the best food every and guess what, the breakfast and lunch are pretty awesome. It is a neighborhood spot and you cannot go wrong here. But it is intimate so get here early. Oh yeah, the chefs have different cooking styles so if you really like your meal, find out who is on the grill that day!!!

This restaurant has been there for a long time but is obviously under new owners. Being in the area this morning I thought I would stop in because it used to be a good place for breakfast. I should have passed on by. It is small and seemed to be family run. It took about 10 minutes for a server to recognize I was there even though I was seated at the counter ALONE. I like sausage gravy if it is not canned. One of the cooks came out to get a drink and I ask if was or do they make it in house. The answer was " Oh no, not from a can". Well, when I finally got to place my order, they had a special with 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties and biscuits (to me meaning 2) with sausage gravy for $6, which I ordered. It is hard to mess up scrambled eggs so they were ok. The patty sausage tasted like it may have been turkey, not pork. I should have asked. It was tasteless. The biscuits turned out to 1 cut in half. The gravy (if it was really home made) tasted like it was canned. The servers let the coffee run out so I had to wait until a new pot brewed for a refill. They seem to be busy, but It may be the only place in the area to eat.

best place for breakfast and cheap prices, although finding a seat is a mission- but worth the wait
