Took a while to even get our menus. Did not have the beer I wanted and one of the staff members did not even offer to make a similar drink for me.

WOB Midtown is the beer diamond in the rough, amongst all the bars in Midtown. I went in today as was attended to by Manoella; a very attentive, knowledgeable, & sweet bartender. After informing me the beer I had selected was no longer on draft, she suggested I try the Bells Java Stout; which although not as Java as I would have liked; was very tasty. She also brought me a couple rounds of the complimentary popcorn, & then a Great Divide Yeti Oatmeal Cookie Stout. Thanks Manoella & WOB Midtown.

Great beers, service blows. Tvs are a bonus. Beer is readonaly priced good sport bar. But its a mission to get a refill. Flag down your bartender.. who has 4 other customers to get a refill.

Great place to come and hang out with friends. The seats on the outside terrace are very comfortable, which is a great option if you are going to be there for a few hours. On Friday night they had a band playing. The service was good and the server was very helpful in recommending beer options for those of us that wanted to try something new.

Worst experience ever!!! Came in with a service dog. Asked by the nappy headed dark skin female working behind the bar if it was a service dog before I can even answer her and say yes. She looks at my girlfriend who is always smiling and she tells me "by the look of her smile on her face it's not a service dog" then I proceeded to show her and she just wasn't having it. DO NOT PATRONIZE a business with low business ethic and doesn't not fully except people with special needs! I will not visit this establishment again and I will go out of my way as a animal lover to encourage everyone boycott this bar!!!

I had a disappointing experience here at World of Beer. I've heard of WOB from friends on the East Coast who love coming here and trying their different brews and using their app to track all of their beers. From the outside, this place seems cool. Long line of taps behind the counter, a fair amount of people at the bar and at tables. But things started to reveal themselves when I sat down. First, they gave me their beer menu and when I made my choice, they took the menu away. I was a bit shocked because she just took it away and put it back in the menu holding slot. I wasn't sure whether my server thought that I was only going to order one beer or whether she didn't want to serve me more than one beer? That whole experience just made the rest of my experience go downhill. I usually like to read the beer menu in between beers to not only learn about the beers offered but also since I like to take my time in deciding what to order. The rest of the night, I had to wait for her to bring me the same menu again which delayed my subsequent beers which became increasingly frustrating. It's already a pain that they don't offer any food here but if you take the beer menu away too, then there are plenty of other places that can give me food and not take the menu every time I order.

Basically i am a beer lover and i have tried many kind of beers. World of beer is a good place to hang out with friends by having good beer in good ambiance. The place is arranged with comfortable seats to sit & relax.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for the first time. I've been wanting to try this place out since I heard all the fuss about it. I have to say I wasn't impressed. Don't get me wrong they have a ton of beer. Also the beer includes all of the recent popular craft beers that everyone seems to order. However, when I ordered the one I really wanted to try they didn't have it. Now no I'm not giving them 3 stars for not having my beer. I'm not an a**hole! Our waitress was able to recommend a German hoppy ale which was really pleasant! Ok reason for the low rating. We walked in with group of 6 guys ready to tear some beer up. It was almost 10 minutes before a waiter finally came to us. He apologized for the wait and proceeded to take longer making our beer. Than our waitress had just came on shift and was disoriented. I really liked her because once she got her things together she was good. Lastly, world of beer is getting beat by gastropubs. It's missing food! Or at least appetizers. I rather go to a trendy gastropubs where there is craft beer but also food. I'm just saying.

Every experience at a World of Beer is different and to me that is the beauty of having them all over the state and the country. I have visited 8 of them (7 in FL and 1 in NJ) and each of them are special in their own way. Specifically the one in Midtown Miami does an excellent job of mixing up events. Whether its the weekly trivia night, the new addition of a salsa night or open mic night, having a DJ come once in a while, special brew nights, holiday theme parties, and live music on the weekends you will always have a new memory every time you come in. In addition to these events they have the constant bar and board games including cornhole, life size jenga, life size tick-tack-toe, and apples to apples to name a few, that are always fun to play with a great group of friends. In regards to the beer, well its call World of Beer for a reason, so any comment about how you need to expand to have spirits is valid but you probably shouldn't be coming here anyways. Regardless they offer a decent selection of wine in addition to over 500 beers and 50 beers on tap. They also do an excellent job of rotating their taps weekly so that there is something new to try regardless of how many times you visit them. They have a very friendly staff that is also knowledgeable about craft brews, which is really helpful when you want to try something different than your "usual" beer. I have been coming to this location for about a year now and I must say that I wouldn't be coming back if it wasn't for the WOB Staff or the great times and memories I have had here. This is a great place to come to for a drink if you are tired of the usual club or party scene that you can find all over Miami. Or you can even come here to have a drink before making your way out to Wynwood, South Beach, or even Brickell (I have done that a couple times) for your night out. They are pet friendly and conveniently located in the heart of Midtown Miami with plenty of parking and food options. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking to have or learn about great beer any day of the week.

Tremendous selection of beer. We went with the Wynwood Pop's Porter and then a Game of Thrones special. Both were excellent choices. Live music on Saturday night was great. Reasonable prices. They also have restaurant partners in Midtown so that you can order food from restaurants in the area and have it delivered to your spot at World of Beers, which is a terrific idea, as we love several of the restaurants in that area.

Great selection, but a very impersonal atmosphere. Don't expect a conversation with a bartender about beer styles or regions., In my case, don't expect a "thanks" for your tip, either. This is a shopping mall business staffed by mall-type employees. My servers weren't rude or strange, but noticeably put off that I was paying as I went in cash, and less than interested in an interaction other than taking care of their duties. I had a wonderful pint by myself on trivia/DJ night between 8 and 9 PM, and it was fresh and delicious. Other than that, the experience was very. . . Suburban. As an Edgewater resident, beer lover, and former bartender, I'd prefer spending my bucks at a place with less variety and more personality.

Great place in Midtown to hang out and have a few beers with friends. They have a major and I mean major selection of beer to choose from and the live music adds that extra special touch while hang in out with friends.

Great selection of beer. They also have live bands playing on the second floor overlooking the bar. I like the fact that they have board games available for customers.

Good location with plenty of parking which is a plus. Of course WOB is a big chain which we don't care for, but they have a great selection of tap and bottles so being a beer lover I like that. You can order from many of the restaurants in the area, and they deliver to the bar which is always a plus. You have many good options here for food, good service, and a great selection. Overall this is a winner.

  • Daniel G.

Smallest location I've visited and good service. Definitely a great place to sit down and enjoy a beer alone, with friends or making friends! Many board games to play and company to enjoy. The only down fall for me is the live music. Normally bad bands playing music loud which kill the atmosphere if all you want to do is enjoy a beer with friends.

If you're a foreigner (and don't have a FL driver's license), skip this place, they don't want your money. Annoying day yesterday for my boyfriend who didn't take his passport with him, although he had an ID and various documents to prove his identity and age. Besides, it's small and our waiter had a bad attitude. Go somewhere else, Midtown is lovely.

  • George M.

They have a lot of beer and that's great but I wasn't overly impressed by what they had. Having a lot of beer is no big deal now-a-days since every guy that's forgotten how to shave is brewing beer in their grandmama's basement. I found the prices to be about two bucks too expensive and that was after happy hour in which they knock off a measly buck (so really three bones too much) The bartenders if you can call them that (they don't mix drinks, they just pull on a tap or use a bottle opener) are pretty darn friendly and patient. The night I was here they had a trivia night so that's fun.

What can I say about this awesome place besides if you wanna try beers from all over the world. This is the place to go to. What makes it awesome also is the fact that you can order food from surrounding restaurants and have it delivered to your seating area. We enjoyed the place. Would defenitely go back

Hubs and I were in Miami for the Orange Bowl and decided to check out local breweries. Unfortunately Wynwood Brewing Co was closed on the 1st. Our Uber driver was fabulous- he took us to World of Beer just a few blocks away. Lucy took care of us and seemed very knowledgable about all the beers available. She was quick with a sample or suggestion. I had just polished off a pitcher of mimosas at brunch so the last thing I wanted was a beer. She winked and brought me a water and a sample of Funky Buddha Sweet Potato Casserole. Um, all I could do was nod yes please. Being from Mississippi where we put sweet potatoes in everything I was slightly skeptical. But honey hush! It was a delicious beer. Not too heavy. Sweet but not cloying. Sweet Lucy made us feel right at home and popped some fresh popcorn for us to snack on while we watched football, which is exactly how we wanted to spend part of our day- watching good football, drinking good beer. Solid bar. Great, personal service kicks 3 stars up to 4.

Awesome beer selection. Rotating taps. Literally the worst service I've ever had. Waitress disappeared for 15 and 25 minute chunks. When we saw her, she would look at our empty glasses and go to another table instead. Asking other waitresses for help, they said they would tell her to swing by. I can't believe I waited 30 minutes to order a damn beer. It's a shame, I'll never be back.

Holy beer heaven. I have heard great things about this place but when they opened in Midtown the outside did not entice me to check it out. It looked very small and cramped. We went the other night to watch a game and I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It is small inside compared to other locations. The bar area is long and it's narrow. They have benches with high top tables throughout. Beer signs, beer displays, and beer menus everywhere making the decor very fun. Our server was too notch. She offered me about four samples of beer till I found a lovely stout that I enjoyed. Then she told me about the loyalty card, which of course I had to have. Once the game came on they blasted the volume which we appreciated. They started to get crowded but our server came and checked on us very often. Really loved this beer heaven! The only reason it's not five stars for me is because they have no food menu at all. Yes you can order from one of their partners and have it delivered to you. Just not the same when your drinking and can't have greasy bar food. Lol We enjoyed our evening with their amazing beer selections, awesome service, and reasonable prices. Can't wait to hang out more often. Fun atmosphere.

I've been to this place a few times already and every time I'm there I'm treated nicely and promptly. Their selection of beer is great and I always try something different. Up to this point, I've never been disappointed. Like other reviews mentioned, don't expect the servers to know every detail about beer. I know, ironic. It's a beer place, hello! BUT cut them some slack, it's not their fault. They try their best. If you're a beer expert, you'll know what you'll like and not. If you're not a beer expert, go for the adventure and find out!

  • Katherine M.

Selection of beers didn't impress me much. Place is cool to hang out, but didn't like the fact you can't order food except from other restaurants near by... Other than that, live band was pretty good and ambience was alright.

If your tired of a club scene and just want a place to relax and enjoy really good craft beer then world of beer midtown is the place to be. One doesn't pay for how expensive the beers are but the experience one gets. The staff at midtown actually gets to know you and let's you know they care the next time you come in here. You have Jaz, Lucy and Andy that will guide you into increasing your palette for you to enjoy your beers. Best of all there's Christopher Daniels(Chris with a beard) and Damien that will share there knowledge of beer with you that will blow your mind. I have been to 8 world of beer's out 66 in the US and by far this is the most friendly and makes you feel part of the family of them all.

I thought I liked the beer at world of beer.... they have alot of options and good music, so it's a good place to get completely wasted (their cider is suprisingly strong even though it doesn't taste like it). Other restaurants will even deliver food here. The staff is pretty nice too. But then I reached 50 beers with my friends, and they were supposed to post our picture on instagram, and they didn't! What the heck?! I saw that they still haven't done so, but have posted other people's pictures! I guess i am just being bitter, but be warned to take your own picture because it might not get posted and you will lose your picture forever!

World of Beer is a much-needed addition to a Midtown Shops that, prior to Bar Louie, was lacking in terms of a pure, nuts-and-bolts sports/beer bar. Yeah, I know that Hurricane has long been there, but Hurricane is, in my opinion, a little over-priced and has endured a steady decline in quality since its opening. So, with Baru Urbano and Novecento on Midtown's Horizon, it was utterly necessary -- particularly for cavemen like me -- that a World of Beer or something of its ilk would claim a spot along the Shops' bustling landscape. World of Beer offers just about everything I could ask for: a friendly staff, an encyclopedic selection of beer (what's more, a rotating selection, so WOB will never be lacking in variety), tons of TVs, and an open format that allows for patrons to enjoy a packed bar or a more intimate experience off to the side and away from all the hubbub. For those of you who may not be familiar with WOB, just a heads up: they do not sell food. They do, however, allow you to have food delivered from any of a number of the surrounding restaurants, going so far as to compile a selection of menus for your perusal. My only knock on this is that, considering how packed the Midtown Shops sometimes get, it might be a while before you get your food, and that's assuming that you can place an order in the first place. (I, for one, had to walk over to 100 Montaditos after having been forgotten on hold.) Lastly, WOB offers a rewards program for fifteen bucks, the details of which are as follows: upon enrolling, you get two free drafts, a koozie, and some WOB stickers; and throughout the life of the program, you accumulate points (toward free stuff) with each purchase, and you benefit from 25% off of bottled beers on Tuesdays. I've long loved World of Beer, and I'm really happy to see one closer to home and not in the doldrums of South Miami (where the other two are). "Move outta the sticks, gentlemen." (Brownie points if you get the reference.)

I'd been anxiously awaiting the grand opening of this branch of World of Beer for at least 6 months (why does it take so long to open anything in the midtown shops?) and it's exactly as expected. I'd been to a several other WOB outposts and this one stays true to form. Great beer selection, different specials most nights (Wednesday is college night, either Tuesday or Thursday is Ladies night, and Sunday as usual is In the Biz), decent live music, and a refreshingly laid back, fun atmosphere. Yes, it's a chain, but it's definitely of a better breed than most. Midtown really needed a casual spot to have a cheap(er) drink and just hang out than much of what the neighborhood offers. Why not 5 stars? I'm not always so crazy about the live music - sometimes it's really fun, sometimes the song choices are a little off and distracting. Even then, I definitely expect to make this my regular spot to come grab a beer or two whenever I'm in the mood.

  • Javy C.

Worst customer service out of all the WOB's I have been too. No recognition of what it means to serve customers and be tentative to them. I had to wait 20 minutes for my server to even come by my table to ask if I needed another drink. Won't be coming back and will post negative feedback on all social platforms and forums.

Great place with a loooooot of beers!! They had all my favorites! Drafts, bottles, they even serve wine! Saturday night they had a live band. Good ambiance, perfect for a pre- or post-dinner drink!

  • Daniella S.

World of beer has some major successes. The staff is always super knowledgeable about the product and can pretty much narrow down the perfect beer for you in just a short conversation. It has a casual, laid back atmosphere and although they don't serve food, they work with local businesses in the plaza to deliver the food to you. Sounds amazing? Don't get your hopes up. The other businesses are not usually too thrilled when you place your order, which I can't even begin to understand why. WOB provides the menus but you yourself have to call and "hunt" for the food. For the businesses being so close by you'd think the food would come out fairly quick but it doesn't, the presentation is awful. The delivery person is sort of hunting you down in the crowd, and it just really doesn't work. Other than that as a place to have drinks, sure why not?

  • Kevin C.

This has a great beer selection on draft and tons of bottles from local brews to imported beers. I came here with a friend just to chill at the bar one night. The bartender was very friendly in offering recommendations based on what other beers we liked. On the speakers, I heard an obscure indie rock band (Angelfish), so I started talking about the band. The bartender Chris overheard the conversation and told me no one has ever recognized the band. He was so impressed that the round was on him. He then gave us a "beer shot." This was a mix of one of the stouts and a bitter high alcohol beer. We took it with him and it was delicious, tasted like an espresso shot. I'll definitely be back!

Disappointed with this wob establishment. Smaller and worse service than others I've been to. Overall 3 stars since they have a nice selection, but their wine is overpriced and the whole 'you can make food orders from nearby establishments' needs more structure.

Ended up at World of Beer as we couldn't find anyplace else to sit in all of Midtown during the NBA Championship game and it turned out well. Let me preface this by saying: I do not drink beer. But the BF does and they also have wine. Not great wine, but 1/2-off-for-ladies and good-enough-to-get-me-quite-hammered-by-the-time-all-was-said-and-done wine. (That was a long game.) Staff was friendly, if slightly disorganized--people were fighting over tables, but I'm guessing that had more to do with the melee of Game 7 and wouldn't normally be an issue. A $20 tip after our first round of drinks took forever to come greatly improved the rate at which our drinks were refilled and definitely contributed to the aforementioned getting hammered. They don't serve food, but you can bring your own or they have a binder full of menus (not women) from other Midtown restos that will deliver to your table. We ordered from 100 Montaditos, which I can't review based on that evening as I don't remember what I ate. This has nothing to do with WOB, but I feel like sharing as I'm now fondly recounting that night. I had to get on a plane early the next morning after this little outing with one of the most tremendo hangovers I have ever had and most likely still drunk. I subsequently met my BF's grandmothers and family, sans shower and still smelling like you don't want to know what. Ladies, travel pro-tip for you: never trust a man when he says your make up looks fine. First off, I wasn't wearing any and had asked if last night's mascara had run down my face. He said no. Thank god I went to the bathroom while waiting for my luggage because I looked exactly like the raccoon-eyed wino/crack whore I smelled like. For that WOB, you will forever hold a special place in my heart. P.S. The grandmas loved me.

Being gluten-free, it is difficult for me to understand how wonderful this place truly is. My partner was impressed with the long list of draft selections, and they did have a few gluten-free bottles to choose from. I had the Estrella beer, while my partner had a few pints of "normal "beer. The best part about this place, for me at least, is they have the menus of a few area restaurants that will bring food directly to your table, as they do not serve food themselves. We ordered from Hurricane across the street, and they brought over wings and nachos very quickly. This is an excellent place for a beer lover to enjoy a night out! The atmosphere is like a pub, and they have nice outdoor seating.

Being a loyal World of Beer member, I needed to try this one out. The service here is perfect, yes it can get busy and you do have to wait, but it is a bar. Like the other World of Beers, the beer list here is amazing. Since I am a point chaser (those that know what i'm talking about will get this), I have almost exhausted my local WOB due to me being over 1300. I was able to open my app and find many new beers that have never been offered in my WOB. This is a perfect place to stop in and enjoy some great beer.

First time here and I cant wait to be back! HUGE selection of beer, and even some wine. Lovely interior, nicely decorated, clean and, above all, organized! The menu's make it easy to choose a beer and although my first 3 choices were out, there were so many others that my disappointment was short-lived. They don't serve food but make it very easy to order delivery from other restaurants in the area so keep that in mind if you get there starving. I am guessing delivery times are quick but you never know. All in all, highly recommended

Beer. Sports. Stools. More beer. Sports. IPAs. Ummm what else is there in life?! Did I mention they have 500 BEERS? That's 50 on tap, 450 in bottles. Everything from 10% ABV IPAs to refreshing lagers to seasonal brews and everything (seriously, EVERYTHING) in between. They make snakebites, mini-flights, black and tans and will basically assist you in creating any given concoction your little beer-hungry heart desires. They host tap takeovers, have live bands and help out charities, too. On my inaugural visit (grand opening day), I created an IPA/cider mix that warmed my belly and gave me a brilliant little buzz. Also, they play country music. They may be the only bar in Miami that gets away with blasting Zac Brown Band through their speakers, and for this, I'm SO grateful. Beats heading up to Broward to hear my kinda tunes. For $15, you can join their loyalty club and rack up the points based on your brew consumption. I will dominate. Just wait. Honestly, this is a little piece of beeradise, (almost) in my own backyard. Excuse me while I go dream of Flying Dog Raging Bitch and Blue Point No Apologies. swoooooooon.

WOB, I am a fan! My boyfriend is a WOB member and loves beer period so I thought it was nice to have him and some of his friends gather to drink beer (he loves racking up beers on his WOB membership card). I worked with Desy and Jamie to arrange a beer tasting for 10 people for my boyfriend's birthday this past saturday night (July 6th). Jamie was so accomodating and helped me plan an amazing night, my boyfriend and his friends will not forget. We arrived to our reserved seating, tons of beers waiting for us to taste, everything was perfect! I had brought a cake and plates/forks/candles etc and they took care of everything. Our waitress was AWESOME! On the ball when we needed her, knew her stuff and was very knowledgable about the product she was pouring, patient dealing with our large party like a pro, and so so nice we invited her to sit with us towards the end of her shift. I was very impressed. Thank you WOB Midtown Miami for everything!! Thank you for helping to make sure my boyfriend's birthday was a memorable one!! I can't wait to visit you guys soon! Tip: they don't serve food but are so laidback you can bring your own or have them call for you to order food at the neighboring restaurants at a discount.

I usually go the Midtown location. It was my old neighborhood a year ago. I live in Cutler Bay now. But I still find myself heading north to Midtown location for the good atmosphere and great selection of beers. Heading there later after work. Come Join!!

This place is an adult Toys R Us. what else more can I say? Best thing to come to midtown(or brickell/downtown for that matter) that I can remember. The world of beer brand is a great one...I'm finally happy they opened a location somewhere near civilization (sorry Kendall, Dadeland). The staff is really cool, they all know their beer, and the endless selection will satisfy even the biggest craft beer head. Great place to watch sports. The live bands i've heard are pretty meh, but who cares..that's not why i go there. The 40-50 draft beers on rotation and the hundreds (if not thousands) of bottle choices. The corporate folks did an amazing job with their iphone/android app. Not only can you keep track of all the beers you've had, you have an up to the minute inventory of their current stock before you even go in. Since it's always changing, it's really nice to know beforehand. It's about time craft beer started to hit Miami, they're years behind but people who enjoy quality beer can finally have a few decent options in this city now.

The most amazing bar you could experience! You MUST come here, get a loyalty card and ask for David, the greatest bartender ever! Try to go slow with the high alcohol volume beers. More than 5 and you should expect a good hangover later.

Fun times and they had a great band playing. I like the way they have the band on the second floor. It's not as loud and you can actually chat while they're playing

Whoa. Not cool. I ordered a glass of a "house red" here (they only offer beer...and wine if you ask) and the bartender kept my tab open during an event for Miami Jewish Federation in the adjacent breezeway. I checked my CC statement and there is a $14.07 from Taphouse Midtown LLC. Did he give himself a $7 tip? Was I drinking a rare fine wine? WTF?

FYI this is NOT liberty city !!! This is in the shops of Midtown so not sure why this is coming up as that location. cool place is you like beer. Tons of outside and inside seat. Decided to try this place out this afternoon while shopping in Midtown. Very large beer selection. They'll bring you samples to see what you like. I had the St. Bernardus ABT 12, which I've had before and highly recommend. They have absolutely no food. What they do is give you the menus and phone numbers of nearby businesses that'll deliver. We ordered chips and salsa, via phone, from "Lime" which is just down the street. About 5 to 7 minutes later, they were delivered. Not bad I guess. But this place should at least consider buying bulk bags of nachos and warming them up in a microwave. They'd make a killing. One other negative is how loud they crank up the speakers. The Miami Heat was on tv and the audio was being pumped through large amplified speakers hanging on the ceiling at an excruciatingly loud volume. I asked the waitress if she could turn it down a bit and she made it happen. Beer was a bit expensive, just like most places like this. Expect to pay more than double what the same bottle would cost you at Total Wine. As an example, an 11 ounce bottle of Chimay Grand Reserve costs $13 at WoB. At Total Wine you can get a 4 pack for $17! I guess there's no way around this. We'll stop by again next time we're in Midtown.
