Great spot! Very intimate and relaxing. Food was great!

Thea's Pizzeria is an absolutely spectacular place. Like that piece of treasure that you find when you're not looking for it, it's so rewarding in the end. Unlike other restaurants which are open for lunch and dinner, Thea's Pizzeria is open for lunch and hosts "The Supper Club," which is an invite only bi-monthly dinner with LIVE Cuban music that transcends the diners to 1950s Havana in a chic, romantic, and contemporary setting. Naturally, Thea's shines bright with its wonderful interior with tea lights and fresh hydrangeas arrangements on every table. But it's ultimate showcase is a glowing Bisazza floral mosaic mural that beautifully completes the intimate space. You almost dream of getting one for the house! Since my first Supper Club at Thea's last year, I find myself coming back almost every month... Over the course, Thea's has hosted my birthday here, my anniversary, a PRADA Dinner, and even "my going away to China for two months" party... And somehow I've felt at home every time. The ever radiant Thea is always present, drain or shine, making sure things go as smooth as possible and that everyone feels like a personal friend! There's no experience like this in Miami, not to this caliber. As for my favorite food suggestions: Eggplant Parmigiana Pumpkin Ravioli Scallops Prosciutto Tortellini The Thea Pizza The Veal Chop (worth every penny extra...have it medium) The Lamb Chops (sooo good) Salted Caramel Gelato (you must) Whether for a date night or a dinner party, i cannot recommend Thea's enough. I love it here, and I'm positive you will too!

This was really a mixed bag. The food was good but the service really screwed up the meal. I ordered an ice for lunch. Never got it. Ordered a butter squash soup as an appetizer and a chicken parmesan for an entree. The soup and entree came out together. The chicken parmesan had not one sprig of garnish, no side, nothing (contrary to the menu description). Just a chicken parm, naked on a plate. Pitu. The soup was creamy and tasty. The chicken parm was nice. But $56 for lunch for two with a lunch like that? No thank you.

I had dinner for my birthday with friends and my husband at Thea's Supper Club a special event she does twice a month. You must be invited by someone to go to the Supper Club. It was only lit with candles and had a wonderful live band which made the ambiance beautiful and magical. The food changes according to the month and event I had the rigatoni which was featured on fox Miami segment . It was absolutely amazing one of the best meals I have ever eaten and my friends and husband agreed. Everything we had was so scrumptious. I can't wait to go back.

BEST walnut and truffle pizza ever! the taste was remarkable. What was so different was that the pizza had no red sauce, and for me, since the acid is tough - the fact that no red sauce was incredible. I am a big fan. The service was also excellent

As a local I'm always looking for good restaurants to go to. This is truly a hidden gem. Located in a "tough" part of town I would never expected to find this place. I have been here many times and the service and food has been consistently good. Consistency is a rare thing to find nowadays as quality lacks in many restaurants. Will return.

WOW! This place was amazing! Where do I start? First off it has FREE valet parking. You walk in and it is a beautiful modern cafe with a classy twist, lots of big windows which makes it feel very open and refreshing. We met Thea herself and she talked with us and was a wonderful person. I could tell she was very passionate about the food she served and proud to serve it. The food is out of this world. My wife and I split a pizza and a grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was great but the pizza was SPECTACULAR! Next time we will just eat our own pizzas. They are thin crust but are like no pizza you ever tasted! It's so fresh and delicious. Our waitress was extremely helpful. We asked her many questions and we could tell she knew the menu perfectly. Not only that she also gave us recommendations, specifically on what we should order for dessert after the dishes we ate for lunch. She recommended a sherbet that the flavor went so well after eating the pizza and sandwich. She really knew her stuff! Very well trained staff that knows its menu. All the ingredients are healthy too. Not one bad thing to say. Best pizza cafe in Miami! No in the US! (Oh and the music was great, a mix of French and jazz, amazing atmosphere altogether)

I've been lucky enough to been to Thea's twice, once for lunch, and the first time, being very honored to be a part of the invite-only supper club. I think Thea's really nails down the concept of a supper club. With a live Cuban jazz band, an intimate & romantic dim-light candlelit atmosphere, and patrons that look more like the Commonwealth Club type rather than Miami scene, Thea's supper club atmosphere is the true archetype of sophistication sans the pretension. Thea greeted us with flutes of champagne upon arrival and the minute you walk in, you feel the welcoming social atmosphere. Oh, and the food...unparalleled in the Miami region. I've had the prosciutto pizza for lunch with truffle oil drizzled on top. As for the supper club fare, it consisted of charcuterie board as the starter. I chose scallops as the entre and they simply melted in my mouth and best I've had. And I know how easy it is to screw up cooking scallops. Dessert consisted of different flavors of ice cream and something about one of them reminded me of jordan almonds, my favorite childhood candy. I'd liken to Thea's food to top tier restaurants out of wine country. I'm really glad my boyfriend introduced me to Thea's and Thea herself, as this place makes me feel like I'm in-the-know, rather than the in-the-scene. I think avant-garde is the term I am searching for to describe this Miami gem.

I've been treated to Thea's twice now, and enjoyed my lunch both times. First was the ravioli, and I remember absolutely loving it. Second was the salmon; probably not as good as my first choice but still a tasty healthy meal. My manager comes often enough that she is friends with the owner, so our service was good. The owner came to chat with us on both occasions, but take that as you will seeing as she had a friend to check on. If you sign up for their email listing, you'll be invited to their once a month price-fixed dinner special. Live 1920s Cuban music. I've been wanting to check that out, but so far each month has been on a day I've been out of town. I also heard the pizza is good, so next time boss takes us out, I'll go for that. Even though I haven't been the one paying, I do think it's pricey for what's given. Good food, but I don't think lunch should ever be that much. So maybe the once a month dinner is more worth it.

Love Thea...and love the food too! It's wonderful having the owner of the restaurant paying such great attention to detail. One of the few restaurants in Miami where the service is spot on. There is also a special event once a month, which is fantastic. I find the food to be of high quality, well presented, and reasonable.

Fantastic great little spot on a corner. Very upscale decor and ambiance. The food was amazing! Even the bread with oil and vinegar to start got my taste buds yearning for more! I ordered a stone-oven baked pizza with prosciutto mozzarella truffle oil and parmigiano-reggiano. The pizza was so tasty I couldn't save any to go.
One of my customers recommended Thea's and all I have to say is "AWESOME"! The Salmon was excellent, the pasta was excellent and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed talking to Thea. She's a really neat lady. Thank you very much!

I've had lunch at Thea's a handful of times and with the exception of one mediocre experience I would say Thea's usually pretty on point. My experience is limited, mainly pizza & salad but their entrees always look good and I usually walk in salivating due to the aroma. My favorite pizza is the mushroom & ham, which is totally weird because I dislike mushrooms but the flavor on the pizza is to die for. Crispy, covered and cheese and seasoned with special spices this pie is a must. As for the salad, the arugula all the way!!! Make it a meal and ask them to make you a churrasco & arugula salad, crisp, savory and filling! Bonus information: they deliver!

Wow! What a great addition to the near-downtown-area! Went there for a late lunch this afternoon after running some errands and had a wonderful meal. Parking on Saturdays is fairly easy because you can park right in front of the restaurant, but I don't know how it works during the week. We ordered a nicoise salad and a pizza and both were excellent. The salad had a marvelous assembly of a large piece of high-quality canned tuna, olives, green beans, a boiled egg, and some herb potatoes. The pizza was a simple affair with ricotta and spicy salami (which was like an extra spicy pepperoni). Service was great, the owner was there and was very friendly, and the look of the place is really special and unique. Give them a try! Word to the wise: Hours are fairly limited to start out, Mon-Sat, 8:00-4:30, but it seems they're planning to extend those hours in 2013. I'm jealous of the folks that work at the hospitals nearby!

Went with a group of friends to the supper club event this month. Found Thea to be an enchanting and gracious hostess, loved the nostalgic Cuban jazz trio, and the food and ambiance to be both good and enjoyable. Had the scallops, pumpkin ravioli and caramel gelato - all solid and the prix fixe menu to be reasonably priced. Will definitely be back again soon.

One of the worst dining experiences I have had in Mi Ami. We were greeted by an English woman smartly dressed who did not bother to get off her stool. Then the busboy tried awkwardly to seat us. Then the waitress took our order. Then she and the hostess disappears for our entire meal never to be seen again. Leaving the very green and unprofessional busser to wait on us. In the meantime he rearranges all the tables dragging 60 chairs across concrete floors in a huge empty room the noise was horrendous I thought I was going to kill myself! We parked in the only option which was the lot south of the building. It was a pay on foot deal but there were no machines and I was stuck at the gate with six cars behind me and I buzzed the help button and they said I had to pay in the lobby of an office building ! Like how would I know that? Or get my ticket validated by Thea's . They should have offered that know in it was the only parking around. Horrible experience with uncaring unprofessional self centered staff . Thea's stinks!

Thea's has been quietly working for a little over a year now with a cult-like following. Haven't heard? Here's the scoop... Known mostly by just the nearby lunch crowd, Thea's is only open for dinner a couple of nights a month. On those clandestine nights, the restaurant becomes The Supper Club and offers a pre-fixe $49.00 menu. Seating is incredibly limited since the place is very small. Dark, cozy, and heavily candle lit, the restaurant comes alive at night to the soft sounds of Paul Vitier's latin band. Owner Thea is usually there to welcome you upon arrival and offer a glass of sparkly. The restaurant's trademark oversized, floral mosaic accent wall is stunning! For the set price, you get to choose from a large varied menu (out of which, surprisingly, my favorite is always the pizza). The food and cooking is straight forward. No tricks, creative presentations, or unusual ingredients. JUST.GOOD.EATING. These are some of the items I've tried: Caprese Salad Scallops with Grilled Lemon, Fennel and Arugula Proscioutto Ricotta Pizza Margherita Pizza Sausage Mozarella Pizza- MY FAVORITE Butternut Squash Soup with Nutmeg Creme Fraiche Lamb Chops with Pureed Potatoes and Green Beans Pumpkin Ravioli with Butter and Sage Chicken Milanese 12oz Veal Chop with Rosemary, Pureed Potatoes, Green Beans Seared Salmon with Lemon and Capers on White Beans For dessert, we've always had a combination platter consisting of mostly chocolate cake, fig tart, chocolate pot de creme "shot", strawberries and cream, gelato (dark chocolate-orange-vanilla~cherry-salted caramel-pistachio), cannoli, espresso granita or mini cream puffs with violet, dark chocolate & caramel. The wine list could use a little pick-me-up or at least, allow clients to bring in their wine (with a corkage fee of course). As a wine enthusiast, I will admit, it's hard to please my palette and this part of dinner has always fallen short for me. Service can be slow at times. Then again, this is not the kind of place to come if you are in a hurry. Come here to have an intimate leisurely dinner and relax. Valet parking is complimentary. Don't make the same mistake I made the first time by going into the public parking lot adjacent to Thea's. Instead, pull up right to the front of the building and they will valet the car (usually right up front too since there are not many cars to park for the limited restaurant space). The signage for the restaurant is very hard to see, therefore be on the lookout once you are close by. HINT: it's next to Subway's. To find out the dates of the next dinners, sign up to their mailing list. No worries, they do not spam. Priority is given to regulars, but if you rsvp quickly you will probably be able to snag a reservation. Seating for large groups can be a little harder to get. Give Thea's a try, but shhhhhhhhhh don't tell too many people.

Loving the thea pizza!! Omg! Arugula walnuts Gorgonzola and truffle oil!!! Second time at Thea Pizzeria! I had to come back after having such an amazing experience the first time. I initially ordered the Tuna Nicoise Salad. One office mate ordered the special (Grilled scallops) as a Nicoise and the other ordered the Salmon as a Nicoise salad. They all received rave reviews. I came back this week and planned on getting an individual pizza. The Pizza menu is cleverly broken down as Pizzas with a red sauce base ( in red type) and Pizza's with other bases in white. I had to try the signature Thea Pizza, with Gorgonzola, walnuts and truffle oil and piled with Arugula on top. So glad I did, but other co-workers ordered the Prosciutto and were thrilled. We ordered homemade cannoli's to go and after they were brought to the table, the mini cannoli's looked so good we did not wait until we got back to the office! This place is a hidden treasure and I am so glad it is close to work! The prices are great for the value and the vibe at the restaurant takes you directly to a cafe in a heart of a european city. Bon Appetit!

Iwouldn't recommend this place for sandwiches, its definitely not their forte. Thank goodness I asked our waiter what was in the Mortadella sandwich..he simply replied, salami (must be street word for Mortadella), mayo and bread..hmmm these sound like the sandwiches I make at home for about 1.50, not $8. I passed on that and decided to go with the steak sandwich. I was expecting a meaty sandwich and what I got was a few strips of churrasco mixed with caramalized onions inside sliced sandwich bread. As I was eating it, my bread was falling apart. Note to the chef, steak sandwiches should go with a heartier bread, i.e. kaiser , ciabatta, etc. But what do I know?! I saw some other patrons eating pizzas, which I guess is their specialty (duh!). So my bad for ordering the sandwich, but it if its on your menu, you better be on point..

It's really hard to describe Thea's handmade pizzas. The dough is both crusty and chewy enough. The sauce is fresh with a slight delicate sweetness. And the cloud-like cheese (fresh mozzarella) serves as the ultimate base for interesting top-notch toppings (my favorites are the prosciutto and the Gorgonzola walnuts). They are without a doubt the best in Miami. In fact, I am salivating as I write.. Plus the ambiance is lovely and it's EASY TO PARK (free valet can't be beat!). Oh, and by the way, their homemade gelato is sublime.

"Pizzeria" really sells Thea's short - I had the salmon and tasted my friend's swordfish. Both were really good, in terms of quality of the fish and the flavor. The chocolate orange ice cream blew me away. The atmosphere is upscale, but still comfortable.

I love this place! Every time I go, I try a different pizza. I love the chic ambiance, Thea's attentiveness, the prosciutto pizza and the flour-less chocolate cake!! My friends and I are looking forward to our first dinner at Thea's! I will let you know how it goes!

I have eaten lunch here a few times (10 plus) and everything I have tried is delicious! I had the steak sand which yesterday and again today, even got my coworker to try it and of course it was excellent!!!!! My new favorite item on the menu. You can't go wrong with this place. The food and very importantly the staff and owner are all very friendly and even remember your name if your a regular. Nice!!! My only spot when I am at the office :)

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Here is the thing. I can't say it enough. With so many restaurants doing the same thing over and over again, whenever you find something truly original, you give it its due. Thea's is, well, Thea's place. I've been here just the one time but I am told Thea is always there. You can't miss her. She is the one that welcomes you, the one that comes over several times to say hello, the one that really kinda makes this place what it is. And what is it? It's a small elegant space with great décor, good food, very good service, great pizza, and fantastic owner and atmosphere. Although not in the immediate area as this one is kinda out of the way, there may be several spots with equally good if not better food nearby. But I don't think you can go to Thea's just for the food. I know when I go back it will be to have a conversation over a glass of wine at the bar with Thea while waiting for a table, followed by a nice relaxing meal with very good food and live music, and finishing it off with a nice Macchiato. Basically, I will be returning for the food and pizza no doubt, but also for that great dining experience which can be so difficult to find at times. As for their hours of operation, I believe it's 9-5pm Monday through Fridays ONLY. However, get on her mailing (email) list and you will receive a heads up when she has a night event... which is when I went the one time I was there. Also, valet parking is up front. It's a bit tricky to find but in the end, not all that difficult! Just don't go in the lot (that I did) but rather, go to the corner (intersection) in front of the restaurant which has a covered entrance. Their Wine List is limited though I was able to find something I liked... and I am not easy to please when it comes to wine. Thea gave me a few wines to taste before I settled on the bottle I ordered.

By far the best pizza place in Miami. I recently tried it out and I'm addicted to their truffle oil pizza. It's amazing.

This place is as elegant and gracious as Thea herself. The food is wonderful, the vibe is interesting and the prices more than fair. Try any fish but the salmon is spectacular and of course the pizzas out of this world. lunch every day and dinner on Fridays. Do yourself a favor. and just go.
