Come the food leave for the service.. My mom and I came in for a quick lunch on Wednesday at about 3pm, ordering croquetas, a sandwich and a salmon platter. The food was excellent: the croquetas were delicious and fresh, my Mom's salmon in a cream spinach sauce was amazing, and my Serrano sandwich was on point, with good toasted pressed bread, high quality Serrano ham and manchego cheese. We also ordered a mango mouse for dessert that was great. However the service at this place is a HOT MESS. A young man sat us down and took our order. My sandwich came quickly, and we were told by a server that the other items would quickly come out of the kitchen next. After 10 minutes we lost our cool -- because the only other thing that came were the croquettes (after the sandwich mind you). We finally had to summon our waiter to tell him to cancel the order and just get my mom another sandwich because we couldn't wait any longer for the salmon. That's when he told us he'd check in the kitchen. Low and behold he came with the salmon right away, and it was delicious. Since we saw the service was slow we called for our dessert quickly since we knew it would take long. We also told the server that we needed the check because we were in a rush. We got the check right away, but they took so long to pick it up we opted to stand up and pay at the cash register. Needless to say the excellent food wasn't enough to get is to go back because of the shoddy service. I counted three women who were working the shift and the guy who sat us, plus someone who appeared to be a manager drinking wine and busy with his iPad. Clearly his eye wasn't focused on his inept wait staff, especially considering they only had two tables to wait on! No thanks

It was my grandfathers birthday, and he wanted to eat paella, so we decided to take him to a Spanish restaurant, we brought him here...(should've checked yelp before coming) our experience from beginning to end was unpleasant and uncomfortable. We walked in and there were dirty tables left and right, no host so we were just standing awkwardly until someone finally sat us. After they say us we literally waited 10-15 min for a menu. Then another 20 min to write our order. We asked for complimentary bread and the waiter said it was still getting baked in the oven. Come on! Really????? We end up getting our appetizers 30 min later and then 15 min later finally the bread (which was delicious but not worth an hour wait) long story short we got our food an hour later and it was cold. By the time we were almost done eating my grandfather's food had just arrived. All in all food was good but service was horrible, the owner didn't even seem to care about our experience.

Tasca De Espana never disappoints! I came here with some friends who wanted to try indian food. We had the samosas and aloo chaat - which were both delicious. The chicken biryani is excellent, a must try! The portions are huge and great to share with a group of friends :) i will definitely be coming back!

Ok, this place has become a favorite. The bonus here is that they have AMAZING Indian food. Yes, they have Spanish food and also and Indian menu that is actually really, really good. Sangria...Yes, please. So I have tried a couple of items and they are all really good. There is no disappointments here. their Desserts... so so good. So this is a place you would not expect but.. its a hidden treasure and I am glad I discovered it. As far as the decor.....its very Spain....they are not really trying too hard to impress you with chic and contemporary...you do feel like you are in Europe in a little restaurant... it is a nice experience and you can't go wrong with the food.

Pretty good food. We went in planning to order Indian, but the Spanish menu looks interesting enough so we ended up with Spanish. We ordered from the Spanish menu and enjoyed what we ordered. There is a dish, Chilindrón de Chivo, which on the menu is just "goat" in English. I expect it to be a tomato goat stew but it came as four large chunks of goat with not much sauce on it. The meat itself is tender enough but definitely would love some sauce to go with the rice. The side dish of salad is a generous portion. Some other table ordered Indian, and it smells so good I definitely would like to be back to try the Indian food. Menu on their website is slightly different from the actual one.

Ok let me start by saying that the food was pretty good. Nothing extraordinary but it was good. My family and I ordered from the daily specials which included: soup, an entree and dessert...for $9 so not bad. We didn't get to try the indian food and I probably never will because I don't think I'll be returning. My problem wasn't with the food; my problem was with the service. When my family and I first arrived we sat outside a few moments because my mother needed to make a phone call. Twice we were asked if we were coming inside and the second time the waiter said he was asking so he could "prepare a table" for us. When we stepped inside it was empty so something tells me this was not the case. Once inside the waitress wasn't very attentive and if you are going to force me to pay 18% gratuity (parties of 4 or more must pay 18% gratuity which is included in the bill) I'd appreciate not waiting an eternity for boxes to take my food home or at the very least a refill on my glass of water. The only reason this place doesn't get two stars is because the food was decent.

The new owner is extremely rude. Menu lists one price & bills comes at an other. Will never visit here again.

Ok so if you've read my reviews you know that I totally LOVE Indian food. First it is close to my work and several of my Indian friends told me about it. I've been here a few times and everything I've had was great! I'm loved the manchurian gobi, it was my favorite thing and something new I've tried. I'm usually a malai kofta kinda gal and since I mostly eat a vegetarian diet I love the options here. We had a variety of food here and I would go back. The reason I'm giving it 5 stars is compared to what is available here in miami and having really yummy home cooked Indian food this is a good choice for indian. I know some of my Indian friends don't like a few of the dishes but the dishes I had have been good. I say check it out if you're down in miami it is pretty affordable compared to places such as mint leaf. Update 4/22/13 I'm rating this now as a 4 stars. I still like the place but the last few times I've had it, the bread was a tad bit dry and the rice wasn't as cooked. The only other complaint I have is trying to order take out. Depending on who answers the phone the confusion to place an order for Indian food is difficult sometimes.

Had I written this review after our first 5 visits, this review would be better. First the good: service has always been good by friendly staff; the Indian food v. good, especially considering there's nothing else in the area; and the tapas prices are reasonable. Of the tapas we had this visit, the Spanish tortilla and ensalada rusa we're good. The bad: prices increased since last visit (they used to have good value on entrees); we tried the chicken and bacalao empanadas and they we're dry and bland; and the restaurant seems to be trying to nickel & dime patrons, in bizarre ways. They offered us 1 ltr bottled water choices, either $1 or $2, and after the first bottle it's "free". OK, we went along, and when we got our bottle, it had a chip on the mouth. This bottle was refilled, which the waitress validated by saying, "it must have chipped on the faucet." Maybe there's a tank of this out back? It just tasted like Miami's finest. But why make a fuss over $1, or are they figuring on that? The other negative involved the ladies bathroom. The toilet seat was totally loose and my 89 year old mom didn't feel safe sitting in it. Fortunately, they have two bathrooms per gender. Lastly, and this is the cherry on the "I'm not returning cake", the server offered to sell us raffle tickets for $2 per ticket. Prize - $500 gift card, but she couldn't say toward what, or who would benefit. That was just weird.

Fun and good food make for a great time. Oddly the Spanish and Indian dishes sort of blended well - great service, great ambiance. Loud with the music but it certainly added to the evening. I will go back.

Been to many Indian restaurants in south florida, madras cafe, house of India, Imlee, ayeesha, to name a few. This place is excellent! And it's right by my house? Wow! And it has Spanish (Spain) food? Double wow. The price is right too. There is one server there (young female brunette) that is not the best but the other servers are good. The chef even prepared a meal specifically for me. My wife wanted me to bring home some chicken with tamarind sauce but it wasn't on the menu. The chef himself came over, asked me what I was looking for, and prepared it.

Terrible experience! The food took almost 30' to come and it didn't come altogether for the 4 people we were dining. My dish was much smaller than the one served to a friend, although we ordered the same. I had to stand up and take the checks to the counter because the waitress didn't show up to get them. The food was decent but I care a lot about service. So, I don't care if the food was decent cause I lose my appetite with this terrible service.

Sometimes finding a place that surprises you with great almost home made cooking can be a great experience! Tasca de Espana is a testament to that. For a person living in Chicago Indian food is not a novelty, but when you travel far, far away and find great Indian food and HOSPITALITY you have to write about it! The humbleness and openness with which the entire staff and owners welcomed us at this place was phenomenal! I felt as if I was joining a group of long lost family members for a reunion. The food with all it's simplicity was fantastic whether it was the saag panner, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, gosht curry, grilled pomfret, and pomfret 'machchi jhol', and then succulent fresh naan, and basmati jeera rice! Followed by some of the best 'gulab jamun' I have ever had anywhere, hands down! I must have eaten as if food, especially Indian, was about to go out of fashion! Now, I have told you all this, but you haven't really heard the piece de resistance at this place - FRESHLY SQUEEZED SUGARCANE JUICE WITH LIME! 'Guarapo Limon'. The owner of this place manufactures cane juice extracting machines and I was like forget the scotch (JW Black from the owner's private selection - almost equivalent to blasphemy for an Indian) bring on the Guarapo and keep it coming! ...And this still isn't even letting the secret out of the bag... this place is mainly a Latin joint with a phenomenal selection of tapas, wine, and pastry. I mean I thought I was going into a Spanish eating joint where I don't even know if I can even find someone to speak in English, let alone in my native tongue of Hindi. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! Keep up the great work guys, next time I am in Miami you'll get a call from me first. This time I promise I will try the tapas, wine, and pastries ... after a few glasses of Guarapo! BTW, I've got to spend time with your two magnificent Belgian Shepherds, they are so regal!

This place is on point! Spanish or Indian both incredibly well done. Best Tica Masala ever. Lamb Curry tastiest and so tender... Just had the shrimp Karma rich, creamy spicy, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Even the cafe had extra espumita.

I believe it is under new ownership. They still make Spanish food, but now also offer Indian food. I just had the most amazing Indian food at Tasca de Espana. Stop by and tell Avtar (the cook) that Erick (my husband) sent you. It turns out he cooked at his favorite Indian restaurant in Orlando for several years running - it was called New Punjabi Indian Restaurant. He was the cook when it won several awards.

Tasca is a pretty good place to eat. The service is good and the food is excellent. Manny, the owner, is pleasant and always willing to please his customers. If you don't see it on the menu, ask him for it and he may work it out. The lentil soup, cooked and heated in a Spanish terra cota dish, is superb, as are the black paella, the vinagrettes, Spanish tortilla and the bacalao croquetas.

This was a very unexpected and amazing Friday night. Indian and Spanish food under one roof? I had to try it, and I was very impressed. The food was excellent, staff professional, atmosphere delightful, menu interesting with a serious wine selection. I tried many things I have never had--like hot and spicy cauliflower in creamy curry space alongside freshly baked naan and basmati rice--it was so different and fantastic! There are very few Indian joints around Miami, so I was very happy for this find in Westchester. And they mix Indian and Spanish food so It's sure to please many palettes. If you live west, you must go try this place. If you don't live west, you must drive to this place and try it. For not one, but TWO, perfectly executed authentic cuisines! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it was very well priced. Awesome place. Can't wait to go again.

This restaurant serve a great Indian and Spanish food with a wide variety of wine at very reasonable price, the Spanish dessert was out of this world. I was surprise to see the owner came to our table to say hello, is very friendly. They have a great entertainment with a guitarist and flamenco dancer, I thought I was in Spain. The four of us had wine appetizer, entree and dessert and the bill was less than $100.00. Great place to visit to eat and entertainment.

As for the Indian food here it is sub-par and too expensive. I ordered two veg sides and some naan and paid over 30 for it. The portions I received were barely enough. Also the ingredients don't taste fresh, no garnish that you may typically see such as chilli peppers, cilantro and onion. An unpleasant experience and I doubt I would return.

If you are going to order for carry out or if you want good customer service or any service at all, don't come here. I haven't even been able to try the food because every time I call the woman that answers hangs up on me! I'm not calling after hours and there is no excuse. I'm assuming the person didn't understand me when I first called so they decided it would be easier to just hang up instead of asking if I spoke Spanish or if they could get someone else to help me. Thinking it must have been a mistake I called again twice, but the woman was screening my calls. I waited a minute and then called a fourth time, the woman finally answered and I asked to speak to a manager.... but low and behold, she hung up on me again. ALL I WANT IS FOOD! -.- Obviously this is not the place to get it.

Well I wanted to enjoy a Spanish Paella for one person since my wife is allergic to shell fish. It was not what I expected. One thing that really 'ticked' me off was the advertised price of $19. Don't be fooled since it will NEVER cost $19 but rather 2x $19 = $38! It is misleading and should be illegal to advertise a price and charge you another. READ THE FINE PRINT!!

Kind of quirky that you have two menus, a Spanish and and Indian one. I have tried both kinds of food and no disapointment so far. Service is good. They have a chicken korma to die for. Their tortilla de chorizo is absolutely a must. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a live flamenco guitar that can be kind of noisy but nice.

I love this place! This is a great neighborhood gem well worth seeking out. It is not fancy but it is AUTHENTIC for both the Spanish food and the Indian cuisine. Indian cuisine? Yes! The new owner is Indian and he split the kitchen and brought in an experienced Indian chef and offers two menus. For lunch, the fish curry with aromatic rice and garlic nan can't be beat! I found this place two or three months ago and I and my family and friends love it! The staff is very friendly and tries hard. They make mistakes like we all do on occasion but they are very conscientious about it and the owner will do right by you personally if he is there The breakfast on the weekends from the Spanish menu is awesome. I am not being paid to write this though it may appear that way. I just love this place. Great food, Great staff, Inexpensive prices and a Quaint atmosphere equals a great dining experience for both Spanish and Indian food!!!

I am reviewing purely based on the food (Indian cuisine). I have lived in India many years and I know and understand authentic Indian cuisine, I would give them 5/10 on food. The prices for lunch menu are good. The rice is very poor quality (its broken rice) and not basmati rice. The bread was decent. The entree was average quality and small portion Good Indian Restaurant based purely on food : Bombay Darbar (Coconut Grove) : 7/10 (Food is very very oily and greasy, makes you very full) : Highly recommend the daal tadka. The best i have ever had Indus Herbal Cuisine (Palm Beach) :8.5/10 : Very close to authentic Indian cuisine. Generous portions. The Biryani is mind blowing Thali (South Beach) : 4/10...Though i have only had the buffet and sometimes the buffet is not a good representation Bengal Indian Cuisine (Mid-Town) : 5/10, actually this is more of bangladeshi food, than Indian food. Won't waste my time with that Ayesha Indian (Key Biscayne) : 6/10. Ok food. Nothing outstanding. Woodlands Indian Cafe (North Univ Drive) : 6/10 : Great for South Indian Cuisine Udipi Cafe (North Univ Drive) : 6/10 : Great for Dosas and other South Indian Cuisine Punjab Cafe (Boca ) : 4/10. Below average Best Samosas in Florida : Asia Grocery (Miller Drive). Their Samosas are the most authentic samosas i have had outside of India. Yet to Review : Ayesha (Coral Gables) Imlee (south Dixie) bombay Masala (South Dixie)

I was visiting Miami from New Jersey. My friends and I came to tasca and ordered paella and lamb curry. How crazy is that? We ordered Indian food and Hispanic food from the same place! I found that amazing and unique. NJ/NY area is known for having good Indian food, but I can confidently say the lamb curry was the most amazing Indian food I've ever eaten. I can't even put in words how amazing the paella was. The beef empanada was soft and full of flavor and the tres leches was moist, sweet and perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and our waitress was smoking hot! YUMMY!!

Interesting mix of Spanish and Indian under one roof. they really have two separate menus! The regular naan is quite good but the cheese one is eeehh, a bit overwhelming on the cheese side, you can't really enjoy the naan with that much cheese. The palomilla was tasty and the sangria was my favoriest part. they also have live flamenco on Friday nights and I heard that they have bollywood performances on Thursday.

I had driven by this restaurant 1,000 times, yet I had never stopped. It never piqued my interest. That is until I learned they serve Indian food. Indian food is hard to come by in Miami, and it's something I crave on a regular basis. Thus, when I learned there was Indian food to be had in Westchester I hightailed it over. The restaurant has a parking problem. However, you can park down the street at La Colonia. We were waiting for a space, and the manager came outside and told us this. Now the food, it was delicious! We had lamb rogen josh and chicken tikka. Plus their delicious garlic naan and beef samosas. Everything was good. In fact, as I began to get full I was sad because I wanted to finish everything off! Needless to say, the leftovers came home with me. We went on a Friday night, and there was live music and flamenco dancers. Which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We had good service. This is definitely a neighborhood gem worth checking out. We'll be back.

Amazingly great food. Indian food enthusiast over here. Great menu, delicious naan, love the garlic naan. I took a chance going there since it was Spanish and Indian at the same time. But it was worth the visit. I have been there a few times already and have loved it every time. They have nice service too! Highly recommend this cozy place!

This place used to be really good. They no longer have croquettes so that was a big turn off. The biggest turn off of all ws today. We went to get a tortilla and bread which they are known for and guess what? They only had two halves of a tortilla. You would think they would have anticipated being that it is Father's Day. Aside from that the lady tells us we should have called first before coming. Who says something like that? Why would I call a place that sells tortillas and bread to ask if they have on stock? The bread wasn't available either. So ended up coming home empty handed.

Rude, discourteous and shocking The owner (Shahrukh) is downright rude, hypocritical and arrogant and should take lessons in being sensitive to customer needs. Food is highly questionable. The Indian food is far from Indian. On many instances the owner has dismissed our concerns with a callous "we make it that way here" in a tone that is suggestive of "Have it or get lost". If you made a to-go order, good luck to you.....You will come home and get a big surprise. Knowing all this, we sometime go there when we are passing by it or are with friends who prefer Indian food and try to play it safe with menu items we are familiar with. On one ocassion we ordered a rasmalai, a classic Indian dessert ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ra… ). We were shocked to see what arrived. See the photo of what arrived and compare it with what it should look like. The answer from the owner: The classic "we make it that way here" My wife and I are not heavy eaters. The last time, the two of us were passing by the place and were not very hungry and ordered just the biriyani ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bi… ) and dessert to share. The owner said there is a $15 minimum per person on "show nights" (more on shows later). At first We thought he was not being serious as it was not the first time we were dining there or the the first time we had ordered light on a "show night". Turns out he was dead serious and asked us straight up to either increase the order size or leave and could not do anything about it. On inquiring further he was very dismissive and finally showed that term and condition in some small fine print in some corner of the menu. The behavior of the owner was clearly pre-meditated. Had this behavior come from a wait staff or server, I would have understood, but coming from the owner, it was shocking. What he calls "show" is just a lot of extremely loud singing and dancing. If you don't want to take my opinion, see the reviews of others from an Indian background here for the same place. If you want lousy food, really loud song and dance, downright rude, indifferent and callous service, this is the place for you...otherwise, just stay away.

We came on a Friday early night around 9:00PM. The place wasn't too crowded. I saw a Spanish name, a flamenco tableau. When you come in the restaurant the overpowering smell of curry hits your nostrils. I thought for a moment that I was imagining things, dehydration was affecting my brain. It's surreal, curry & flamenco together! We opted for Tapas( both Spanish & Indian). croquetas, tortilla de patatas, tabla de Serrano, queso mantecoso, chorizo, chistorras, somosas, Kashmir naan, mango mousse. Todo delicioso! César, our waiter very attentive. El Maestro Ricardo & his guitar, Nidya, la bailaora kept us clapping, singing & entertained the whole dinner.

The first waitress was rude and mixed up our order. She refused to address our questions multiple times, and was generally disinterested. The second waitress was nice but overworked and misplaced my credit card at the end of the meal. The owner refused to believe that I was missing my credit card and after much persuasion he obliged to check. My credit card was lying on the floor behind the counter. Then we asked him to split the cheque evenly after including that card and apparently the software they have doesn't allow them to re create the bill. So my friends ended up paying more than their share and I had the scare of my life about losing my credit card. Food was average to even good sometimes but service was terrible and the owner doesn't seem to care about customers or their concerns. Today was horrible experience. I am never going there again. They almost lost my credit card and failed to take my concerns about it seriously. I would give them negative stars if I could.

Best place to have Indian food in Miami especially in Sweetwater and FIU area. I enjoy eating there. Food is made by order so it will take time to get ready, but be ready to get best taste freshly made food. The lamb is moist and perfectly cooked. We love the lamb biryani and butter chicken is our usual order. Portion size is good and prices are fair. The owner is always there making sure customer has best service.

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Lots of variety, great food, great service, great ambiance, decent prices for large portions. First of all, this place has two chefs and two menus. This is not a Spanish/Indian fusion. This is two restaurants in one. Both menus are huge and have a lot of variety. That's already a plus. Despite the ambitious menus, the food quality does not suffer. It's not the absolute best Indian food I've ever had or the absolute best Spanish food I've ever had, but it is excellent. All delicious and great portions. Good Indian food is hard to find in Miami, but this place definitely delivers. I always get the paneer makhani, vegetable samosas, and naan. I like mild to medium spice, and my boyfriend likes mouth-on-fire spice, and the chef caters to what you ask for. The portions are large; I usually save half of my meal for later. The Spanish side is great, too. I've come with my family and my boyfriend's family, and they have all really liked their meals. They mostly order Spanish food, and they have always raved about it. From the bites I've tried, I would say the Spanish food is indeed great. I usually get crema catalana for dessert, and it's amazing. The service is great. The waiters/waitresses are really nice and accommodating. The ambiance is nice. Last time I went, there was a man playing Spanish guitar. It was nice but not too loud. Other times, there have been flamenco dancers, and they were fun to watch. There's not always live entertainment, but I have liked it when I've seen it. I once ordered chocolate con churros as takeout, and it was also good. Overall, I would say that this place is one of my favorite places to go in Miami. The food quality alone would probably be four stars, but the mix of great food with a ton of variety with decent prices and everything else makes this an overall five.

The Indian Food is AMAZING!!! They have all sorts of curry, my favorite is with greek yogurt. It is heaven on a plate. There Naan is to die for. There Tiramisu is delicious, but come early they run out quick. The Spanish croquetas are yummy. Fri and Sat nights they have a guitar player and 2 flamenco dancers.

I wish this place had better service. The food was fine but since it goes coupled with the service not good enough to make me go back. I went in with my friend at about 2:30pm and was given the lunch menu. 15 mins after someone brought water, but we didnt know if that person was our server and i didnt get the chance to ask. 10 mins after someone else came to the table and i ordered a couple of appetizers. In the meantime, the person who had brought the water told us that was leaving and another server was going to take care of us. One of the appetizers were the croquettes(i ordered 2 types) and the order was wrong, since our server (the new one, who i asked someone else for) never passed by to check if we needed anything my friend ended up eating them. So ok, on us. I couldnt complain because of that one anymore. Then, after waiting again, we were ready to order or better yet, our server was ready for us: well, he told us we couldnt order from the lunch menu. Ha, and that was the menu we had right in front of us. I explained to him that we had been there already for almost and hour and he gave me the kitchen excuse; that made me feel like a baby c'mon. Since i had my friend i was letting all that go because i didnt want to make a big deal and interrupt our good time toguether. The food came out fairly fast but my side was wrong. I was almost done with my meat when i had the chance to tell my server to change the side for me, and he did. Well, there were no apologies, no how can i fix it, nothing. Our server seemed pretty nervious and young(mid 20s maybe); he had only one more table which made me think he did not have much experience. I paid cash and when he was bringing the change back i told him to keep it (more than 20%) so he couldnt believe it. It was then when he kept going to my table to keep saying thank you, as if i had done him a favor. Well, before leaving and away from the other guests i saw him and he told me thank you one more time. Ahahha, i had to tell him how his service had been, and the things he should change so he can always earn 20% tips. Im giving it three stars because the food was not bad but they need to train that staff, oh yes.

The Indian food is acceptable. Certainly not as tasty as some hole-in-the-wall/ mom and pop Indian restaurants in Ft Lauderdale, but this is the only Indian restaurant in Westchester. As for the service, read your bill carefully. Our waiter added a 20% auto-grat to our bill (for only two people), and we had no clue! What restaurant in ghetto Westchester Miami autograts 20%? This is not South Beach! It was clearly a deplorable move on his behalf, and as a result, they deserve a deplorable review. Don't eat at a place that steals from its patrons!

One of my favorite places to eat Indian food!!!! Yes, I wrote INDIAN. Step out your comfort zone and give it a try. Our favorites - appetizers Samoas - meat or vegetables. Main dish. Chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh. Garlic naan is a must!!!!

After my last experience (and review) I thought I would never be back here again. Well I couldn't help myself because my Indian food addiction needed to be sated, and because I was without much time, this place is close to home, so I didn't have much choice. I returned. And I am glad I did so. Last attempt 2 stars. This attempt 4 stars. Let me remind you that my last attempt, the food was good. My low star rating was mostly based off of a major mess up with preparing the order, how much time I had to wait for my food, and then, after everything, my order was not correct. But all of this is in the past now. Praying that my order is ready on time, I walk in to pick up my food. As soon as I am in there, the owner comes up to me, and asked if he could help. I told him I ordered take out, and he said he would go check the kitchen for me. He also asked me to have a seat and if I wanted something to drink while I was waiting. He emerges from the kitchen... with my food! Hallelujah! He then asks me if I was the one with the messed up order the last time I came in. (He recognized me! ) I told him yes, and he proceeds to genuinely apologize. You can tell this man cares about his business and his customers. He tells me he wants to make it right with this bill, and he did. He told me if I ever needed anything to call him and he would help me, and also invited me to come on a Friday when they have live music and a dancer (the day I picked up the food, there was the performance and it was pretty cool). The food (because that is mostly what everyone cares about), was great! We ordered lamb biryani, lamb rogen josh, and 2 cheese naans. The lamb biryani is excellent (one of the best in have had). Rogen josh was good, but I still not my favorite place to get it from. And the cheese naan .. very cheesy! Excellent naan. Nice and fluffy, just how I like it. Overall, I am very happy I went back, and absolutely plan on returning again after this past experience. I hate bad service, but there is nothing more telling about a restaurant then how they seek to rectify and atone for their mistakes, and the owner here really does seems to care.

Incredible Spanish food and oh my goodness the Indian food is outstanding the staff is wonderful! If that was not enough the staff was great and not too often you see the owner come to check on you, now that's service! Thank you for a great dinner. And yes, I'm most definitely coming back... weekly!

I hate this place from the core of my heart ! And would never step into this place again. On separate occasions with me and my friends the owner has mis-behaved. A lot of times they have served stale food which tastes sour . Most people would not understand Indian food as Indians do . Food is bad and prices are high and keep going up .

I used to visit this restaurant every weekend before I moved to California. Decided to visit with my family and did not notice the name was no longer Brisas. Huge mistake. The food was poor quality and not very authentic. Prices increased but the menu has been simplified to the point that it resembles a Cuban cafeteria and there are better options in Miami if looking for Cuban. The identity of the place is confusing. The name says Spanish cuisine but they have an Indian grill. The decor is dark and with graffiti. Are they trying to create a nightclub? Never going back. I'll take the drive to delicias de espana.

The only reason this place is receiving a two is because the Indian food I have had here over time has been decent but at the moment I am so upset I should give them a zero, if possible. My husband ate there yesterday for lunch the meal was good he ordered Chicken Tikka; it was fresh food but then he called me to ask what I wanted for take out and he proceeded to place an order. Another order of chicken Tikka and an order of lentils. When we opened the order to our disappointment it was something entirely different. We called immediately and neither the manager nor owner were in. No one could help us. Lilli could not speak English. I speak Spanish but my husband does not. She told my husband. "Onr no hea" He placed me on the phone. I speak Spanish but she did not want to deal with the issue and hung up the phone on me. Obviously, I was upset, so I proceeded to call a few times with no luck. After half an hour or so she finally picked up and said she would leave a note. It's the day after and no call. After three attempts finally got a hold of the owner and he questioned my husband, like we are stealing food or something. Mind you, I have eaten there a few times and told him this. He finally said to go over with the incorrect food and he would exchange it. Fast forward 2 hrs. We live like 10 miles away. Husband got there, no Shahrouk. He had to call me to translate to Leonor. No one spoke English. No one can make decisions without the owner. Leonor stepped outside to speak to owner. I am thinking "What are you hiding". She came back inside and said "what do you want" I said deduct what we didn't get from today's order and she proceeded to say we did not bring back the chicken. I told there was no chicken in the box. Back to square one! At this point I told her on the phone I was not desperate for a plate of food and proceeded to tell my husband to forget about it. I explained to her I couldn't believe she was doubting me and told her I had held them at a different standard previously and to expect this review. "Ok Señora", she said. I'll just drive North instead of South for Paki and Indian food! Thanks for hearing my venting. Peace to all!

Very good food but you need to be precise about the amount of spice/heat you want, if not they tend to assume mild.

I have been to this place quite a few times and never had an experience to give it a rating exceeding 3/5. They operate this in the pretest of a dual image of spanish/indian restaurant which offers average food from both cuisines. Most recent dine in experience was where the food served on the table was not as per our taste/liking in spite of specific instructions. Discussing the issues or raising concerns at this place has no point. The servers just redirect the question to the owner who is a grumbling old guy (btw mostly drunk) who comes to the table and defends whatever is served. Anyway, had chicken tikka, Garlic Naan & lamb. Average food. We could have dined at a better restaurants at the same price. Avoiding this place for dine in ever since. Followed it up with a take out order where the food was not ready even after calling 40 mins ahead. To top it up, they gave a different order which i discovered after reaching home. Didn't want to go all the way back just to replace the order so ate whatever was given (lower priced item though). Have been a loyal customer of bombay darbaar ever since.

Casual environment. Great food and wonderful prices!!!! They have live music on the weekends starting at 7pm with a flamenco dancer. The mariscada for $35 is amazing!!!! The sangria is also excellent! Very good service! I highly recommend!

It's walking distance from my house and you can't pay me to go back. The service is slow wait at least 15 minutes on a slow night to get water then to have them take your drink order. The food takes forever to come out the steak wasn't even good. I am very disappointed when they first opened I actually enjoyed coming but there is obviously no quality control. I have nothing else to say if you go make sure you have no other plans because you will be there a while. As for the food it depends when you go there is no consistency.

So you wont belive this, but its also an indian resturant. And the biryani there was one of the best i have ever had!! Along with the dal makni and paneer tikka. Went there with my hubby and we were both so shocked that in amexican resturant the indian food was even better then the indian food at a proper place. So yes we are coming there alot!!! Five stars allll the way!!!! P.s place is clean, servers are super nice and helpful and soooo close to FIU! Thats the best part!!

I came here to eat 2 nights ago for about the 5th time. Almost each time I've come, I've loved the food and the service has been "okay." This last time, though, the service was bad and the music was insanely loud. I am someone who loves live music, but this was waaaay too loud. We were a party of 3 and could not hear ourselves even though we were shouting. The waitress was not attentive or considerate. She brought out the wrong main dish after over 40 minutes of waiting for our main course. I wasn't upset about this, but more about the fact that she didn't even apologize or make a comment about the wait time, ask us if we'd like something else while we waited.. Etc. Nothing. The customer service was horrific. I won't come back to eat-in. You guys have to make some drastic changes..

Came in to Tasca not sure what to expect: a large open space, pastry display cases to one side, a small stage, Spanish flags hung next to Hindu iconography, two menus... Having never heard of the place before, but still really craving some good Indian food, I kept my guard up. But I was swept away. The roti was perfectly thin and incredibly delicious, on its own or sopping up the sauce from the chicken korma, which was also amazing. I came in the next day and met the owners, who were so lovely and inviting and kind. I saw how they interacted with the staff, how playful and genuine and happy everyone seemed working there. I then had the garlic naan, chicken curry, and a café con leche. All was just as delicious as the night before, the naan fluffy and warm, the curry perfectly seasoned, not oily, perfectly portioned, and the café con leche as good as I've had. I'm astonished that a place like this exists, constantly running two separate kitchens and a bakery, and putting out such wonderful food, while retaining such a tangibly familial work environment. Next time I'll look into their Spanish menu, and their pastries. A new favorite on Coral Way!

First of all, I'm Indian food type of guy so my review doesn't include the other Spanish menu. This place has an out of this world vegetarian curry (vegetable mix), and the Indian food seems good overall. However this place is a overly pricey for its location! But I will come back again cuz boy I will miss that spicy curry!

I've eaten here before and I've liked the food. Tonight, I called to place an order for pick-up and I was told to call in five minutes and was hung up on before I could get a word in. Disappointed. That is poor customer service. I am ordering elsewhere.

I didn't try the food. Went in the afternoon and found all the plates and the tables dirty! At night I wouldn't have noticed and probably would give a good review. Assuming the food and service was good. So I'm giving them an F in hygiene! Filthy place

First of all, this review is strictly on the Indian food there. Of all the Indian restaurants in Miami this is probably the best with regards to price. With regards to taste- the food matches up with any of the higher end Indian restaurants in brickell or coral gables. I went for lunch and it was a GREAT deal. Most lunch size entrees are $7.95 and it comes with more than enough food for one person. Not only do you get the entree but it also comes with rice and 1 Naan. Excellent price for lunch. At night, their entrees range from $12.95 - $17.95 depending on what type of entree you get - and each entree comes with rice as well! I would never have expected their to be an Indian restaurant in a Spanish restaurant. You wouldn't even know they serve Indian food until you pull into the garage and see a sign for Indian food. Great unexpected Indian cuisine in West Miami!

We heard a lot of great things thro some mutual friends whose food opinion I respect specially after observing their girth. We were a group of 8 and as we entered I noticed that it had an interesting ambience casual yet fun appearing. There was a very lively singer parked near the door that got you tapping to beat on arrival. The menu was a very pleasant surprise consisting of a Spanish menu and our server Esther was amazing as she also gave us an Indian menu! (This prolly is the only great Spanish and Indian Restaurant under one roof!) We started with an assortment of appetizers and found the Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, Fish Amritsari and the fried Calamari was very good. The complimentary Bread was a nice touch. For the main course I would highly recommend the Lamb in wine sauce, Chivo (goat) and the Bombay Fish curry. All in all we had a great meal and towards the end of the evening the owner Sharukh came by and sat and chatted with us seeing that we had driven nearly 55 miles to get here he bought us dessert on the house and I must say the tres leches was just the right ending to a perfect evening. There were quite a few other patrons dancing to the beat of some great Spanish music and I asked Sharukh and he has live music on Friday and Saturday night another plus for those of you with crazy legs! WE WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE BACK!

Came here on a whim because the boyfriend was starving and it was close to his place. I'm also not one to just pop in on a place because I do fear food poisoning. Hehe. However, I was pleasantly surprised. As we were walking in they had some REALLY loud Spanish music playing and it was a bit annoying, but luckily, they turned it off once we were seated. The inside of the restuarant looks like a cafeteria/bakery/diner. I ordered the Salmon with Mango Sauce with a side of baked potatoes and a salad. The mango sauce was absolutely delicious with the salmon. It was an unexpected combination that tasted amazingly well together. They give you plenty of sauce to douse your salmon in and on they sprinkle friend plantain chips on top as well. I was expecting a whole baked potato when I ordered it as a side but it's actually a bunch of small potatoes with some very slight seasoning. Had to put a bit of salt on top to make them a bit more flavorful but I didn't mind. I also ordered a glass of Sangria. Not too impressed with it. Kind of tasted watered down. I've had better. My bf tried a meal from the Indian menu and he really enjoyed it, although I don't remember what it was called as I've never tried Indian food. However, I'm tempted to try some now. Overall experience was good. No negatives so it deserves 4 stars.

tl:dr: their Spanish food was not great, their Indian food was not bad, & they have a nice little Spanish market inside. This is a hard review. After reading all of the reviews, I was really excited to try this magical Spanish/Indian restaurant. I lived in Spain for several months, so I was fairly well-versed in good, authentic Spanish food. The restaurant itself is set up sort of like a spacious, yet casual cafe/store. I decided to order a Spanish "tortilla" sandwich, which is basically an egg, potato, and onion omelette between French bread. In Spain, this was a must-have. I also ordered traditional "chicken tikka masala" curry and garlic naan from their Indian menu. As far as prices, the tortilla "bocadillo" was about $6 (very reasonable price), the chicken tikka was $15 (slightly pricey), and the garlic naan was $2-3 (very reasonable price). The bocadillo was probably the worst that I've ever had. It was dry and tasted old and stale. Maybe I have higher standards because I had authentic bocadillos in Spain, but I was just not impressed. The garlic naan was absolutely delicious, and the chicken tikka was not bad, seeing as how this was first and foremost a Spanish restaurant. I'm not sure if it was worth the price, however ($15 is quite a lot for not amazing chicken tikka). I wish I could write 2 reviews for this restaurant for their different menus, because I would give their Spanish food 2 stars and their Indian food 4 stars, which is why I ultimately have this place a 3 :-/

I have taken food out 4 times and each time has been great. Don't be put off by the combination of Spanish and Indian. It was a Spanish place for several years before adding the Indian fare. Lately I have been taking out the Indian food and it's really tasty. Recommend the lamb saag a yummy combination of lamb in a spinach sauce and the chicken tikka masala and vindaloo chicken. Go there!

-.- Obviously this is not the place to get it

It's bee a few months since I posted my first review. I have been to this restaurant three times since then. I have tried their Indian and Spanish food and have accumulated enough reasons to change my mind and the rating. First, their Indian lunch specials are unbeatable. You get Indian bread, a chicken dish, and rice for $8, just a little more than you would pay at McDonald's. The dishes that my colleagues (non-Indians) and I tried have been good. They go easy on spices so most can finish lunch without imbibing gallons of water. Dinner dishes are slightly pricey but still fairly reasonable by the Miami standards. Spanish dishes that I tried have been delicious, slightly different from the usual fare at most restaurants in the Miami area. Be prepared to be (pleasantly) surprised if you are unfamiliar with Spanish cuisine. Service is outstanding, even when they have been busy. We always had a server attending to us. This has become out default go-to place when we are in a group, for lunch or dinner. Overall, a very good place for a hearty lunch or a quiet dinner.
