For years, we have been eating there, for the most part the staff remains the same every so often you may see someone new but the root of the restaurant is the same, the restaurant is so GOOD that they are able to close for a week or two and they do not loose their clientele,, that is how great the food is. Noi always treats you with a smile and has a memory of an elephant , the chef well he actually knows who the guest are by the order if you happen to be a regular, the ambiance is simple but great, Try it one night you will fall in love with it ......! PS - Closed on TUE

3.5 stars. I love Thai food. we ordered the basil duck and shared a combo appetizer. the combo app was ok, I wouldn't recommend it, too much fried food. the basil duck was very crispy and dry, no sauce. the flavor is a little overwhelming, and it gets to be a little much after eating more than a few bites. I will return to try the Penang duck, I felt like we just didn't order the right dishes.

Tani is by far the best Thai spot in Miami Dade. Everything is great and so flavorful !!! You HAVE to try their volcano chicken! There's none quite like it. It has the perfect sauce and combination of veggies and most importantly it's not overly breaded and you're actually chewing on pieces of white meat chicken ! The pad Thai is always great and never watery like some places. It's a small restaurant so you can just imagine how packed it gets on the weekends! They do accept reservations and all in all its a great spot for amazing flavor and spice !

Nothing to write home about and it's a little pricey. But it does satisfy my craving of pad thai. Wish they had mango sticky rice for dessert.

  • Loren A.

The service was excellent and so was the food! We had ordered the pineapple curry and fried rice and it was amazing and fresh. The prices are a bit higher but the portions make up for it. My order of fried rice was enough to feed a few people! The only downer was the spring rolls.

I had to leave my original review because it made me laugh. I'm glad I've learned to write longer reviews over the years! This restaurant is my favorite Thai restaurant in Miami. It serves the best Pad Thai and the rest of their menu is delicious. My favorite dish on the menu is Cocky Bob which is difficult to compare to something since they're so secretive about what the ingredients are and it's impossible to duplicate (trust me, I've tried). I would say it reminds me a bit of a honey chicken type dish but not as sweet. The service here is always quick and pleasant. The decor and ambiance isn't anything special but it fits. I'm glad to have this so close to home and i'd recommend you try even if it's a bit our of your way.

We have been coming here for years. The service is outstanding. We love their cocky bob chicken and vegetarian dishes.

During my visits I did mostly take-outs. Ate in once as service was pretty attentive. Food is a little pricey but delicious. Customer service was great as one of the staff recognized my name (I think they see you on the computer as well) as I was a regular. All in all if I was in the area I would dine again there.

Amazing Thai food. Feels like Thailand! Amazing Tom Ka Gai soup! Highly recommend this place and you are hungry for Thai food and are in South Miami.

Very good Thai food. The deserts are really good, I always ordered pineapple curry and it's really good.

First time going to this restaurant. My parents had gone before and enjoyed it so I joined them for a second visit and left very satisfied! The food was delicious, service lacked a bit because the food did take pretty long to come out but I believe it was just on that occasion because of a back up in the kitchen. Recommend everything we ordered from the menu: steamed pork dumplings, shrimp salad, volcano chicken, whole yellow tail snapper, special fried rice, and the chicken pad thai. Also the banana ala mode for dessert was the perfect ending.

I'm a fan. I loved the vibe at this restaurant. I felt like I was in Thailand. The service was amazing, the food was very good, and the ambiance was nice. It feels very private and secluded from the rest of Miami. It is romantic because the lighting is dark and the location of the restaurant is in a non-eventful shopping mall. You are not expecting this super authentic Thai restaurant.

  • Nathee A.

I'm Thai and genuinely think that this is the best Thai restaurant in town. Food is great and decor is really authentic. My favorites are crispy basil duck, pad Thai, and red curry. Try it and you'll never be disappointed.

Been a patron of Tani Thai for years. Food is great and always consistent. Staff is pleasant and efficient. I enjoy visiting this restaurant and bring out of town friends here often. However, the restaurant is pricey and that limits visiting on a regular basis. It is not like your Chinese take out with budget prices.

I really enjoy this place . The owners are friendly and interactive . The food has been good I just wish I knew what other dishes to order since the last few haven't been out of this world . But , I will not stop going . I would recommend this place to family and friends .

This is the best Thai food I've had so far. We had the Pad Thai and Duck Curry. Both of them were so good and so satisfying. It's a bit of a drive for us but we will definitely be visiting again. The servers are also very attentive and nice and held a conversation. It's a cute place.

One of the best Thai foods in Miami in my opinion! I love the three flavors tofu it's yummy spicy and fried to perfection!

Our favorite Thai restaurant. We've been eating here for almost 15 years. Everyone knows us there and we are always welcomed and treated like family. There isn't anything on the menu that we don't like. The best spring rolls in town. We also love the Thai donut! The early bird specials are a great value if you can dine between 5-6 during the weekdays.

Thai food is my favorite, so I'm always eating it at every city I go to. Tani is by far my favorite. Their volcano chicken is amazing.

I've been coming here since I was 11 years old. They have had the same staff since! This place is just perfect. Everyone I bring here loves the food. The only reason for the missing star is the pricing. Soda is around $3 a glass! No free refills, and if you ask for extra chili sauce or rice it's extra too! Beyond the nickel and diming however, is an attentive and friendly staff, with delicious food! Order the volcano chicken, and the chicken coconut soup! They are MUSTS!!!

Tani's has been my favorite Thai place in Miami sinceI was a kid! I am never disappointed with the food and the servers are very nice, remember me each time and are always very pleasant. Some of my favorite dishes- pad Thai, coconut curry soup, volcano chicken (I get it unbreaded), and the beef panang! The place can get busy sometimes so I'd recommend going on the earlier side.

By far my favorite Thai restaurant in Miami, very authentic. I have been coming here for years. I usually order the Volcano Chicken from here but everything is good. I have also tried the Pad Thai, Pineapple Curry, Earth Wind & Fire and the Cocky bob in the past and they have all been excellent. The seafood coco soup and the tom yum soup are absolutely delicious as well and full of flavor. Servers are very attentive and the service here is good.

I've been to Tani a couple of times and the more I go, the less I like it. First of all, AC is freezing cold there. Service is efficient and that's about it. Food: portions are huge, but don't taste super good and it is very greasy. Pricing is a bit high for the food quality.

    (3)
  • Ernest M.

The best Pad Thai I have ever had. The Volcano Chicken is also fantastic. The service is fantastic during lunch. Try the Fried Ice Cream it's like an ice cream ball covered in Thai Donut and covered with condensed milk. MMMMMMMM

Great service, food consistently good. A little pricey but the portions are big. Favorite:Tani garlic fish and Tofu Masaman

I love this place and visit whenever I is in this area. The staff is always very friendly and the food is great. My favorite is the Ginger Chicken but my bf the Earth Wind and Fire Beef. Visit this rest for some great food.

Ordered a ton of food for take out for family members we were visiting. Everyone enjoyed their food and I thoroughly enjoyed my curry puffs, spicy tofu curry and Buddhist delight. While waiting for our food, the Thai manager/owner was genuinely friendly and attentive to our drinks orders. It was a pleasant experience and the food was good. The interior design is Thai-themed and quite well thought of.

I have been meaning to try this place out so i got some take out. I tried the shrimp pad woo sen and it didnt disappoint. It had huge shrimp and the clear noodles were good. The portion was large and the price was fair. I will go back, try more dishes, and review again.

First, the staff at this restaurant was super nice and friendly and the service was great. However, the food is "ok" at best unfortunately. While the Tom Kha Gai (spicy coconut milk shrimp soup) was pretty good, the Pad Thai and the curry were mediocre and a bit bland. An issue is I think it's all very Americanized, to the point where a lot of the unique, special "zing" of true Thai food is lost. As an indication of just how westernized the cuisine is, I asked for Lard Nar; the first waiter didn't even know what that was. When I got to a very friendly person who did know, she was very frank in telling me that it was Thai for americans -- hence the lack of a common dish. I generally only review restaurants if I feel they were good, or really bad to warn people. This isn't really bad. But when a "Thai" restaurant is being presented as authentic, and isn't, diners should probably be given a heads-up. Likewise, when reviewing national cuisine-specific restaurants I feel that one criteria should be how true they are to that cuisine unless they are trying to do fusion, etc. There are more authentic Thai places in Miami.

4.5 stars on Yelp? I Want to Believe. Unfortunately, it appears my suspicions that Miami isn't known for its Asian food has been confirmed. The dishes titled Earth, Wind, and Fire, Cocky Bob, and Kiss Me Chicken should have clued me off. I should have went to Chipolte when the waitress looked at me with a blank stare after asking if they had any pad kee mao dishes. The last straw really should have been when I tried to order a simple basil chicken, and I was politely informed the dish was called simply, "Basil." On to the food. We ordered a basil chicken and phad thai; both were just okay. The phad thai was bland, and the basil chicken was watery. There wasn't anything distinctly positive or negative about the dishes. Don't take that the wrong way, the service and staff were great. Unfortunately for them, great service and staff don't fill me up.

My boyfriend and I have been here for lunch and for dinner. The lunch special comes with soup and list of lunch specials for a good price. I usually stick with Chicken pad thai or curry. My boyfriend loves the Kiss me Chicken, he gets it every single time. The volcano chicken is also delicious. Whatever we have gotten in the past, has been consistently delicious. They also make a great thai tea! Perfect for a hot day. The early bird dinner specials run Mon- Fri until 6:30pm. You get delicious veggie spring rolls for an appetizer and soft, sweet, thai donuts for dessert. Everything here is delicious, they always refill your water, always attentive, and the food comes quick. I love coming here, I always leave satisfied!

I ordered pad Thai, basil beef, masaman curry, tiger tear & cocky bob. Out of the 5 items, I only liked the pad Thai & curry. The beef was very chewy & would recommend ordering shrimp or chicken instead. Cocky bon was recommended by other helpers but it was too sweet for me & seemed like orange chicken to me. Although the food was not bad, I thought the food was too expensive & will probably not order fm here again.

  • Romi C.

I love the cocky bob and really love the presentation of the food. This is one of the few places that give you an accurate wait time when you place a takeout order. The satay is spot on and so are their curries, that should say something in itself. If you love coconut then please order a bowl of tom kha gai... Pinecrest doesn't have many places worth dining in. Might i add that the Pad Thai is superb and one of those dishes you want to order to go 15 minutes before completeing your meal so you have an even tastier one the next day..only if you're fat like me. This is one of those rare finds.

Love Tani! My fiance and I come here on a weekly basis (at least once a week). We order the Earth, Wind, and Fire. But, they also have one of the best Pad Thai's in Miami. Their house soup is very light and flavorful, which is something I always enjoy (especially for those days you feel run down). Their satay appetizers are very good too. This restaurant doesn't look that great on the outside, but once inside, the staff will make you feel at home, it's always clean and fresh, and you'd think you just went to Thailand for lunch!

  • Aditi M.

When it comes to Asian food, this restaurant has the absolute best food. Although it looks a little sketchy from the outside, when you walk inside its a great, classic restaurant with great, generous employees who never mess up your order. The restaurant is very quiet and intimate and your food is never late and always fabulous. I have been to many many Asian restaurants all over the nation and I have to say this is definitely my number one choice. (I'm not exaggerating I promise) I have been to this restaurant so many times, the employees now recognize me, its too good! My suggestion: get the pad Thai, volcano chicken, or the red curry they are all great choices

I was super duper excited to try this place after all the stellar reviews. Sadly, this place was just another good Thai place. I didn't have one "aha" moment in here. Not one. So sad! We had their infamous cocky bob, which I found greasy, but very very good. Not amazing, but very good,. Their masaman curry was OK, my pad thai wasn't amazing, and pad thai is supposed to be nothing but, so that made me sad. My seafood soup had krab, yes, krab with a K, which made me even sadder. We were turned off and didn't order dessert, which never ever happens - that says a lot! On a positive note the place is very cute and the service was amazing! Our server was very attentive and funny. I don't think we'll be back. We'll be sticking with our go-to spot for Thai for now.

This Thai Restaurant is delicious. Their staff is really friendly. You don't have to wait that long for your food to come. This is the best Thai restaurant that I have been to.

It's my mother's favorite Thai place fosho. My mom is a big fan of the beef noodle soup. In Thai it's known literally translated "Noodle Boat" . I am not a noodle soup person, but I am giving it 4 stars because I remember ordering basil and it did not have basil in it. Rude. Always say yes to Thai desserts. I don't think people understand the beauty in them. The fried donuts were scrumptious !

I couldn't check in here even though I was inside the restaurant. It said that I was too far away. When I hit directions, it said that I was 21.1 miles away. Someone needs to fix that because the address is correct. Anyway, now to the food - delicious!! We've been going here for many, many years and the food is always good but we usually get the same dishes every time. This time we went with a couple of friends and tried some new dishes. The tofu three ways was to die for!!! I could eat just that! That was my favorite - now back to the appetizers. We had the chicken satay, the crab rangoons and the spring rolls. Then we had the volcano chicken (4 is too hot for me, next time a 2 or 3) which was incredible, the tofu dish, massaman curry with chicken and the basil chicken. The volcano chicken and the tofu three ways were my favorite! Thai donuts for dessert. One complaint is that they don't give you enough condensed milk for all the Thai donuts!! That dish needs to be served with at least 2 little dishes of condensed milk - one serving is just not enough! Overall, great Thai food!

On the outside, Tani is comparable to a little hidden gem amongst a slew of neighboring restaurants and small businesses. Both times that I have visited Tani, I have never had to wait for a table and the host was very quick to seat my party. The ambiance of the restaurant is very clean and welcoming, and the seating is comfortable and spacious. I don't think I could ever say too many positive things about Tani! The experience was enjoyable and our server was attentive and very friendly. (My water glass was never empty- and boy do I down water at restaurants ;) ) I recommend Tani to anybody in the South Miami area who is craving an authentic Thai dish!

Tani Thai has been one of my family's favorites for years. So much so, that it has been my chosen dining location for many of my past birthdays. Their Masaman (chicken) curry is marvelous, the cocky bob is amazing and I love their Kiss Me Beef. The flavors are authentic and delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive and I always enjoy my time there. I had lunch there today and was a little disappointed about something and I thought it was worth sharing on Yelp! This has never happened to me before there and I was bummed out about it because it's just so out of character and unnecessary. We were charged $1.75 for "extra rice" Our waitress came by a second time with the pot and asked if we wanted more, we obliged. It wasn't like we went out of our way to track her down and ask for me. She just came over, and like any restaurant, gave us more rice. I was appalled to be charged for it. I know it's a small charge, but it's the principle! Stop charging for extra rice, it's insulting to your loving guests. Nevertheless, try this place if you haven't been!

I love this place. Best thai food in So. Florida. I usually get the masaman curry (veggie and tofu). The staff is also so friendly and warm. I have tried other thai restaurants in the area and a few and broward and they fall short of this place

I have been coming here for the past two years and can say this is not only my favorite Thai restaurant, but my favorite restaurant In Miami. I almost always get the shrimp Co Co to start off with. And my entree is usually the red curry fried tofu 4 out of 5 stars heat. I have tried almost everything on the menu. In my opinion everything is fine made fresh daily and you can taste each specific ingredients in the food. The ambiance and staff are 5 star. And the food is exceptional top notch. I have tried several other Thai restaurants in Miami for that matter all over the world. This is hands down my favorite restaurant.

  • Vanessa P.

Great place to get Thai food. My favorite dish is cocky bob. This place is a gem very few ppl know about but should. The service is quick and the food is delicious. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The only negative thing I'll say is the decor is old fashioned. The main dishes are pretty big. Enough so that you can share.... But you won't want to. Plus they make pretty good leftovers. If you ever go to samurai and find it unbelievably packed and full of screaming infants go across the street to tani Thai. You'll have your cake and have eaten it in the time it takes to get seated at samurai. Enjoy!

We take out from Tani Thai once a week but we stick to the same thing because the other dishes we've tried have been mediocre. Try the Seafood or Chicken Coco (soup) and the Beef Pad Thai. Not sure how much spice? Ask for the chili powder on the side.

    (4)
  • Michelle C.

I have a new favorite - Cocky shrimp. It isn't technically on the menu. Ask for the cocky bob except instead of chicken, get shrimp. Yummo My favorite appetizers right now are the crab ragoon and some sort of curry veggie patties (don't know the name, but seriously good). And you always eat the Thai donuts with sweetened condensed milk dipping sauce. You don't need to be hungry or have room to eat donuts.

This place is flippin amazing!!!!!!!! It is my favorite place to go in Miami, hands down. Best service, BEST food, really good vibes. If I could eat here every day I would. But alas, I can not afford such a delicious luxury. It is perfect for a treat yourself kinda day, though. Three reasons why this restaurant is AWESOME 1. COCKY BOB- SO GOOD! 2. The staff- the servers are so amazing. They gave me free donuts on my birthday- WINNING 3. You don't usually have to wait to get sat & there's always parking. I LOVE THIS PLACE, GO HERE & SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!

ordered pad thai and had to send it back due to it being overcooked. For 14 bucks i would have rather spent my money with the much better Bangkok Bangkok. I wont be returning when i crave pad thai We also ordered some appetizers which left a lot to be desired for almost 20 bucks

I love love love Tani Thai restaurant. Authentic Thai food in a small but upscale restaurant. The staff is lovely and super attentive. The food is fresh, especially seafood, and extremely well done. Dishes are pricey for those watching their budgets but you get what you pay for! Quality and gourmet Thai are a great exchange for what you pay. The scallop and shrimp dish is my absolute favorite. You must try them at least once. Oh and don't forget Thai donuts!

OOMMGGGG i havent been here in years but i do love me some cocky bob!!! thats really all i can rave about, dont even remember anything else on the menu.. but this dish alone is totally worth it!!

Weird experience: pad Thai was tasty, but with no ground peanuts and no discernible egg. When both the server and the manager on duty were asked about it, they both insisted they were there, and maybe we missed them. When offered the actual dish to check for them, they smiled and insisted it was just as it should be, and if we wanted more peanuts they would bring them. Just a very awkward experience to be told everything is OK when you complain about something. The message was that this is pad Thai, and everything else you've ever had is not.

I have never had a bad meal at Tani Thai, EVER. Their fried rice is so good I cannot eat fried rice anywhere else ever again - and I just discovered their curried fried rice and almost died from pure bliss. Their red coconut curry is also to die for. Everything you get is very flavorful. I also like to get kiss me, fish red curry, broccoli lovers, earth wind and fire, and pretty much anything else on the menu. Their lemonade and thai iced tea are also very good!

The Panang Curry is still the best I've ever had! Here are my new fave dishes at Tani Thai Seaweed Salad - served Japanese style marinated in ginger Thai Clear Noodle Salad- *beware* strong fish sauce taste served with shrimp and pork. This dish is served warm and they will bring extra red pepper and dressing if you want it more " hot and spicy". This dish is so delish it has invaded my thoughts. I am on a quest to find an equally yummy clear noodle salad back home in NC!

The first thing I have to say is that the service was impeccable! Melanie, our waitress, was attentive, informative, funny, and sweet. We felt completely welcomed there! They had no children's menu. However, my son eats anything, so I was OK with that. For others, that might pose a small problem if they have a picky eater. Our waitress recommended the chicken satay and my son loved it! The satay meat dishes involve meat on skewers that you cook yourself on a small grill right in front of you. Very cool! My husband and I ordered the Pad Thai and the Cocky Bob. The dishes are served family style. They were both pretty good and even better with added red curry sauce. I will be visiting again very soon!

I went to Tani Thai about a month ago for a dinner date with my boyfriend. We had already read really great reviews of Tani Thai on Yelp and were excited to give it a try. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival although the restaurant was pretty full that night. Our waiter was not very attentive and seemed to be new at the business. We seemed to understand and never really let it get to us. For appetizers we had the Pork Salad (Nam Sod) and an order of the curry puffs. Both were very good and I would definitely recommend them both. For dinner, I had the Kiss Me Pork and my boyfriend had the Basil Duck. I thought my dish was excellent and came with a very good amount of white rice, served at your table. The portion was large and I took home about half of the dish. The pork was great int he Kiss Me sauce which was so rich and flavorful - I thoroughly enjoyed it. My boyfriend loved his dish and claimed it was one of the best duck dishes he had ever eaten. He loves to eat very spicy food and asked for it to be native spicy, which they gladly did and he was pleased. The heat was perfect and the duck so very crispy and flavorful. To top it off we order the Thai Donuts for dessert and we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of donuts on the plate. We gladly shared equally and loved every bit of the soft, warm doughy dumplings dipped in the rich and sweet condensed milk. Overall, I highly recommend Tani Thai for a great Thai food experience. The dishes are delicious and I can't wait to keep going back to try all sorts of new ones.

Best thai place in south miami/kendall. Nice decor and impecable service compliment the outstanding food. To top it all off, the prices are very good for the quality and portion sizes. My favorite dish is the volcano chicken. Another family favorite is the kiss me chicken. The special fried rice is also off the charts and way better then typical greasy fried rice with tiny pieces of meat.

Tani's is like "Cheers" to my family. I'm not sure if they even bring us menus anymore. After a round of hugs, a parade of appetizers park themselves down the median of the table (or more often, tables). The preferred teas and wines are then poured as our orders are taken while intertwined with the updates of one anothers families. Ordering usually consists of a smile and a couple of nods of the head. Trust me that this works, as I have never, in many, many years, had a bad meal. Or a leftover meal. Cocky Bob is great, cold out of the aluminum container at 2 am. Everything is wonderful, from soup to doughnuts. If there is one thing that I may say I'm leary of, it is that of the heat of my Masaman. I order it at a 3-4 out of 5. I think they feel sorry for me and tone it down but place some of the volcano spittle on the side.

My husband and I had dinner there last night. One word .. WONDERFUL!! He had a Bangkok Snapper that was deep friend and had a great sauce with scallions, mushrooms, etc. I had Masame Chicken, which is chicken in a curry sauce. Honestly it was so much we could have split the whole snapper. The staff is super friendly and it has alot of seating up on one level and down as you walk in as well. I have seen it quite busy but always get a table and excellent service. The couple next to us ordered Baci ice Cream which looked amazing but we were too full. Next Time!! Great service, very clean bathrooms and alot of seating and importantly the food is so good!!!

A co-worker suggested we head here for an office Christmas luncheon and I'm so glad she did! Tani Thai had a great atmosphere - the wait staff was so friendly and fun. We had some silly banter back and forth with our waitress, which really made us all feel comfortable. My only gripe was that my water was not refilled a whole lot, and when eating spicy Thai food, it's kind of a necessity. However, the food was outstanding! I ordered the Kiss Me! lunch special with beef, and it was all sorts of wonderful. I love that they have a number system for the level of spice you want in your meal. Makes it very customizable. All my cow-workers' meals looked equally delicious (a rarity), but one in particular's looked amazing: the curry dish. Wowza. I'm definitely going to come back with the hubby in tow, and you better believe I'll be ordering that curry!

I'm so glad that after months of driving past Tani on a weekly basis, I finally decided to check it out. Their food was fantastic. The yellow curry tofu was heavenly and what made it even better was the fact that the portion was large enough for me to have some for lunch the next day. Oh, yellow curry tofu, I love you. I guess it is a little more expensive than other Thai places nearby like Siam Lotus, but it's definitely worth going to.

If you are looking for locally owned, great tasting food, and a personable evening...step in to this quaint little restaurant. I simple love this place...and Madison (my daughter) thinks it was made just for her! She gets to cook her own steak here! I have never tasted anything that I didn't like: Cocky Bob is sweat and tasty (ask for Cocky Shrimp and they may cook for you even thou it's not on the menu, but I will take credit if it ever does make it!!!) Everything from the clear noodles, Thai steak, curry, to the Thai donuts...you name it, and it's great. I will say that I am a little partial simply because over the past ten years I have been going to this location with my family and now we're part of the Tani family!!!! Yet, somehow I believe they treat all their customers with this warm service even though I would like to think we are the special ones!

Gotta say that their Thai tea and seafood curry is very good. Although it may be priced a little higher than all the new Thai places in the south it's been consistantly good.

Excellent. My wife and I were looking for some good Thai food on one of our regular trips in Miami, and I can't believe I hadn't been to this place before. The staff was very courteous, and the atmosphere was calm and traditional. Nothing over the top, just about good dining. The food however, was outstanding. Personally I am a big fan of curry dishes, and was impressed with both the red curry (Gang Dang) and yellow curry (Masaman) dishes. The yellow curry was drenched in coconut milk, as it should be. What made it interesting was the mix of potatoes and cashews. Reading this on the menu, this doesn't sound like it would be a good combination, but it definitely is. Highly recommended. Overall, I made sure to visit this place twice during a 2 week vacation...so yes, I will be back again.

I am all about lunch specials, so I decided to try Tani out today. All of the specials were around 10 bucks and included soup and rice. The only negative thing I can say is that they will not substitute the soup for a salad. Every place I have eaten at gives you a choice. I don't like broth based soups, so I paid extra for the salad with peanut dressing.Whatever. The salad was delicious and my husband raved about the soup. Our main dishes were excellent. I had the panang chicken curry. It was outstanding! I usually order this dish when I eat Thai and this was the best preparation I have had. Rich, creamy and spicy(you can ask them to adjust the spice before you order). My husband had the pad thai noodles and they were equally yummy. I also liked that the portions were reasonable. Anymore food on the plate and I would have overeaten. All in all, a pleasant lunch.

This is my go-to Thai Restaurant mainly because all their typical Thai dishes taste great - pad thai, massaman chicken, and thai tea (and coffee). One of my new favorite dishes is the Tofu Bob, which they also make with chicken (Cocky Bob- funny name). If you go for dinner on a weekend, it gets pretty packed. This is something I always look for, since it means that the food is more likely to be fresh (though it also means that the service isn't as personal as I would like). For dessert, I always enjoy fried donuts with condensed milk dipping sauce.

After a long days work juggling at a local festival we just wanted something that wasn't fried or accompanied by an innuendo. This place was such a welcome treat. Yes, a little pricey. No, not the best I've ever had. But excellent just the same, and certainly the best thing for a few miles around.

    Love the Massaman curry here!

It's a hidden gem in a Pinecrest strip mall, been here for years. Quality at this place is always top notch--they use fresh ingredients, snapper, angus steak, and fresh duck. Dishes to try are basil duck (crispy and delicious!), cocky bob (honey garlic crispy chicken), bangkok snapper (whole fried snapper with bell pepper, onion, and mushroom sauce), woon sen (clear noodles with mushrooms, get it with tofu), crab wontons, spring rolls, and coconut seafood soup (to die for!). The portions are huge and even though it is on the higher end for Thai food, you will have leftovers. Really cute place to bring a date or celebrate a birthday (free thai donuts for the bday person). The fried ice cream a la mode and Thai donuts are classic dessert favorites.

First time to Tani Thai...likely our last. We had steamed dumplings as an appetizer, Bangkok Whole Snapper and Shrimp Pad Tai...all of the dishes were mediocre when compared to our favorite Thai restaurant in San Francisco...I had high hopes after reading some of the reviews but this one just doesn't get the nod from me or my wife.

Thanks to other reviews my wife and I had some of the best pad Thai in a long time. The curry fried rice is excellent as well, wow it was really good, it complimented our third dish which was the Volcano chicken. The food really was 5 stars. The waitress was really friendly and very interactive. You could tell that this place has a good reputation as the ppl sitting next to us were from England and they also found this place on yelp. Will definitely return and with bigger crowd LOL Excellent glad I found this place worth the drive from Doral. Thank you fellow yelpers.

Pretty unassuming location in a strip mall on the east side of US1. The service is friendly and prompt. The lunch crowd during the week is usualy the "business meeting" lunch crowd. I usualy order the Pad Tahi which is delicious and the portions are plenty enough to take some home for later. I also enjoy the chicken soup that they serve as part of the meal...soooo good! If the parking lot is full, there is parking around the back of the strip mall.

I've been coming here for years, always fantastic! Can't get better food or service, I don't know why people aren't standing outside for seats, must not know how good it is. I'll be back again and again. Thanks for the good cooking!

Well, I'm not adding to the diversity of the recent reviews since I was with Michelle and Mandy, but most of the food is really good here. When I went to bed that night I was very excited the next morning to finish off my leftovers. I went with the seafood pad thai. Nothing crazy, but very good nonetheless. I apologize to any of other patrons in the restaurant that night. Our group of 20 took over the restaurant. And I know some very loud people (See: Michelle C.).

This place was wonderful! I celebrated my fathers birthday there and I think I would do it again and over again. The dishes came out on time and the service was great. Fried ice cream was delicious.

This restaurant used to be fairly decent, but now, not only is the food not good, it had a metallic taste, the service was bad, and their wine undrinkable will not be seeing me again. I would rather give the $50 to someone on the street.

this place IS pretty expensive - $15 or so for pad thai!? $1.75 just for white rice? maaan. decor is nice, food is tasty, fulfills that thai food craving and they do have early bird special (i think it's 5-630ish and you get free appetizer and dessert w/ entree), but they were missing our favorite entrees (i love my eggplant basil and my roomie craved papaya salad). spiciness is rated 1-5... we're pretty spicy eaters and the 3 was just right, so 5 will probably blow the average person away.

I thought the food was great. Their Basil Duck was succulent while crispy. Their Fried Rice were very good. Two tails of Lobsters for that price was a steal. Seriously, I really like the food. I also like the ambient of the place. The art style and the flow of the restaurant was well thought out. The services were very friendly and polite. I will come here more often now that i know this kind of place exist in Miami.

I have been in Miami for a while. When ever i have doubts about my dinner i head straight to Tani thai. I have had thai food for a while but the Ginger fish they have is crazy!!! The aroma and the taste of the fish is nothing but amazing. I had the ginger and garlic fish and they both were delicious. Although i was not a big fan of the Fried snapper on chiili sauce the other items were awesome. Must try place.

I was debating on whether to give it a 2.5 or a 3. I find this place is very pricey for the quality of the food. Once upon a time it might have had something to offer, but when I went in for a late lunch today with my sister and her friend with a voracious appetite due to our lingering hang over, I was a tad disappointed. The decor is a bit tacky, I did enjoy the tall bamboo shots and the real orchids, but the carpet and multicolor neon water fountains were a bit too much. We shared their curry puffs, their vegetable Pad Thai and the Buddha's delight. The best of the three were the puffs, but it only comes with two and the dish costs $6.75...I wish I could say it was worth it. Their pad thai was nothing out of the ordinary and the Buddhas delight needed to have the vegetables steamed marinated a tad longer, if i wanted raw broccoli, I would have stayed home... certainly not worth $13. The service was alright, attentive and on time. All and all nothing out of this world, wouldn't go out of my way to go to this place, specially considering that Sea Siam is a couple of blocks down the street. They did have a decently priced early bird menu, but only Mon- Fri

We hadn't been to Tani for a few years and re-visited it for an early dinner last week. Our absence was not for previous lack of enjoyment but because we simply forgot it was there, given its location in the little strip on U.S. 1. The service was pleasant and excellent, our food was delicious, the price was right and the ambience is quite pleasant. We will make it a point not to forget Tani again.

Just went for the first time the other night. I ordered what I usually order at a Thai restaurant, a Panang Curry Chicken, spiced at maybe a 3 or 4. I went for a 3 and wished I wouldve chosen a 4 but it was very good. My brother in law raved about the Cocky Bob. Since he ordered it, I tasted it and it was very good also. I'd definitely go back to this restaurant and I will also request a possibly spicy alternative to the Cocky Bob. I would recommend this restaurant.

This place is expensive, but the food is also very good. I like the Curry Puffs appetizer, but what is really great is that they actually make your order spicy if you ask for it (and tell them you mean it).

On a random drive around town racking my brain on what to eat I saw Tani. A lover of pad thai I walked in and gave it a shot. The portion was big and at a 3 it had a decent amount of kick to it. Everything else I saw come out of the kitchen looked delicious. I will have to go back to sample the rest of the menu.

nice little hole in the wall i usually get the Kiss Me Chicken (spice 3) expensive but they give a decent amount of food. if you haven't tried this place i recommend you do.

I agree, the food is really good. I had a wonderful meal there--their steamed snapper is excellent. I'The prices are a little high, but you can tell that the meat ain't the typical cheap stuff, and the portions are pretty darn big. It was super crowded when we last went (8:30pm)--this is definitely a local favorite.
