My Philly cheese steak was pretty . I came to the location on a recommendation from a friend that works close by. I was skeptical when I first pulled up. Spots pretty small no sitting space and maybe 4 people can be inside at once. Once i received my sandwich and had my first bite i was in heaven. Super tasty and tender great flavor and seasoning. Friend had the chicken sandwich and she also enjoyed it very much.

Doesn't get much better than this for grilled subs without any of the pretentious BS. Been going for lunch every couple of weeks for about the last year. Order takers/ sub preparers are sometimes a bit slow (in training), but the grill dude is pretty awesome and they all seem to work well together. q I typically pick up a couple extra subs for the office and have yet to find any mistakes whatsoever. HUGE BONUS!! Even with the recent price increase ($0.30 I believe), prices are reasonable and the $1 combo upgrade is the best deal around. Don't let the older building/ facade sway you, the proof is in the taste!!

Can't lie this place is pretty amazing! I'm allowed the philly cheese steak once a week. I know it's not healthy but you have to enjoy life sometimes. The outside isn't too inviting, but I don't care about looks I love the sandwiches.

Had a chicken mixed with steak sub on wheat bread. Mmm Mmm good. Very delicious. Clean inside but sucks that they have no diner room setting. Staff is very nice though. Oh and their salads are off the chain!!!!

Had the steak and cheese on whole wheat. It was very delicious! Smaller place so no room to eat inside. Staff was friendly! Service was fast. A good variety of options! Decent price range for menu items.

As far as 'Sub' sandwiches are concerned it doesn't get much better than Sub Center, whether this location or the other near 441 on Hollywood Blvd. They were established in 1961 and still going strong for a very a simple reason, their food is awesome. Whether you order hot or cold sandwiches, everything I've ever ordered has been very good to totally awesome, every single time. I have been coming here FOREVER and honestly cannot remember ever going to a Phins game at Joe Robbie Stadium (see what I did there LOL) without stopping here first, even when bringing food to grill we always grabbed some Subs, that's how awesome they are. The 'review' by Escobar P. is obviously horsesh** considering the user has no profile pic, no friends and only two short reviews BUT what is interesting is the fact they claim 'Overhyped I got bad service and a below average sub. The Philly cheese barely had steak..' yelp.com/biz/sub-center-… I at the moment cannot think of any establishment down here with service this great. They are a machine, total pros, so much so you can't look away when they're making your food, too much fun to watch. The claim 'The Philly cheese barely had steak..' is so ridiculous I can only guess 'Escobar P.' is a disgruntled ex-employee because I can only think of four other Sub shops within 30 miles that I've visited who pack their 'Cheese Steaks' with as much steak AND ONE OF THOSE LOCATIONS IS THE OTHER SUB CENTER! LOL A warning to light eaters, their 'small' is 8" and even though they offer the double-meat option there's plenty of meat on the standard sandwiches, much more than Subway for not much more in price. If you are NOT a light eater like myself (refer to my profile pics) and are getting a 'large' Sub (12") with double-meat start your order by saying "Turkey Monster" or "Roast Beef Monster" for example. They call their large double-meat sandwiches "Monster" and seem to prefer the customer orders that way for whatever reason. Another testament to how great they are is the fact that over the years the neighborhood has become a majority of Caribbean folks, mostly Jamaican (good people). Most of the nearby original food establishments have been replaced by Caribbean restaurants and bars but Sub Center is still kicking ass, they ain't going anymore anytime soon :) For first timers I myself recommend the 'Turkey Monster' and Philly Cheese Steak but like I keep saying everything is great. One last suggestion: Even though they are a machine like I mentioned, if possible it's better to visit when it's not peak meal times because the shop is take-out only, not very big and does a healthy business. Don't let that scare you off, you wont wait long either way. I can almost guarantee you'll love this place! P.S If you see me at a game introduce yourself and I'll give you a bite of mine ;P

I didn't think it was bad, but not a great experience either. The sandwiches are huge for the price I will say that but they could have larger selection of bread and of cheese. I didn't care for my potato salad it was sweet. The coleslaw was better.

The best steak and cheese subs around. I've been coming here for years and I always get a steak sub on white.... It's filled with steak and cheese... So yummy. I've heard the salads are very big too and very good.

If you want a "sub" , this is the place! Their portions are big and you cannot go wrong with any of the varieties of subs. Do not come here unless you have a stomach because you will be full afterwards. Delicious and staff is usually friendly. If you dont want to wait in line during rush hours, call ahead and they will have it ready for you!

Chuck and his staff offer the most delicious subs and salads in the tri-county of South Florida. I have often traveled from West Palm for a 6 inch Tuna on wheat. The entire menu rocks, the bread melts in your mouth, and one salad can feed three people.

Great subs! Very nice prices and quick service. I come here couple of times a week during lunch for a healthy sub treat. I suggest coming after 1pm or before 12pm so that you dont have to wait as much

Cheap but GREAT subs. If I didn't know any better, I'd think I was home in Philly. Except we call "subs" hoagies and don't talk with country accents up there. A "small" turkey and swiss with all the fixin's cost me $6.03, so slightly more than Subway, but 1000 times better. In fact, you'll never even bother wtih subway again. Everything was super fresh and the small was anything but. In fact, it says a small is an 8" sub, but I think I got almost an entire 12" roll, and the STUFF the sandwich with meat, cheese, and toppings. Best sub I've had since leaving Philly!

25 years!!! 25 years of living around the corner from this place and today was my first visit. It's a tiny place, no table or chairs just a long counter with all the ingredients behind a glass just like subway, with a grill and kitchen in the back. For $1 more you can add 2 sides such as macaroni or potato salad, cookies, small chips, or a drink. Wow!! If Mr. M's is the best in Broward, Sub Center is the best in Dade.

So everyone I grew up with was pretty distraught when hungry bear closed on 67th ave, have no fear my friend sub center lives and they serve the delicious steak and cheese subs you would starve for during lunch for, only they're so much better! its very small no space to sit its built for strict to go service order your food and devour elsewhere. Its a super tiny spot but they're steak is great seasoned just to your liking and i cant stress enough done be shy with the cherry pepper sauce... i think that's what its called its in a jar on the counter its red, if you see ask for it PERIOD! YUM!

I have driven by this little joint and always wondered what magic goes on in there...well after the pursuit for a strong craving and desire for a Philly cheesesteak...I typed it into yelp and this place popped up so I decided to give it a try...boy o boy I didn't realize that those decision would change my whole life and attempt to keep my caloric intake to a minimum...my hubby bought me a Philly with the works and it was truly divine bread was perfectly moist the meat was nicely chopped and the fixings were fresh after this introduction this sandwich is a constant craving in my book! Thankfully it is down the street from my house! Also if you have a sweet tooth try their cookies out..pretty yummy when they are fresh!

5 STARS! Live Review: I'm sitting at my desk at work eating my delicious grilled chicken 6" sub, onions, green peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar and oil and decided to let you all in on this amazing spot. If you work in the area: 441 and Ives Dairy road, you should be eating at sub center at least once a week. It's a walk in, order and leave type of place. They don't even have a table or a bar to sit at. Their sandwich selection is to die for. They make fresh grilled chicken on the grill with onions and green peppers.... diced to perfection and inserted into your sandwich. They will also grill a steak or hamburger sub - always fresh and delightful. Goodbye Subway, so long Quiznos! Thanks for joining me for lunch today and enjoy... next time you go.

Tuesday was the first time I ever had a sub from the sub center. I had a large tuna sub on a wheat roll, and wow this was the best tuna sub I ever had. The tuna had the perfect consistency for my liking. There was plenty of tuna as well. I like the way they put the lettuce inside, followed by the tuna. What I really liked is the cheese on top of the tuna, and the tomatoes on top of the cheese, and the olives on top of the tomatoes. It's not rocket science, but it's the perfect layering system because I only ate half the sub, and finished the other half Wednesday and the sub was perfect, not soggy. I can't wait to try their other subs. I hope all future visits are as good as my first. Thanks for being in business.
