The food at this place is delicious however, service is horrible! What a shame because my friends, family and I would be regulars since we live nearby. They need customer service training desperately.

The sushi was great but you don't know the definition of bad service until you've been here. It took us 1 hour to get 2 rolls, I then asked the waiter to bring me water and 15 minutes passed and still no water. I had to get up and go inside to get the water myself. Five minutes after me getting up and speaking to the manager is when the last roll came out and the worst part is the restaurant was empty! Only about 4 parties -- I would hate to see this place on a busy night.

Clean, friendly, fast, delicious sushi. We only stuck to rolls and everything we ate was awesome. Definately be back for more!

Awesome! The Miami Heat roll is amazing and the Sea of Love roll had me falling in love! Great little sushi bar!

So this restaurant is right next to where I live and I literally started jumping on one foot when I heard that a sushi place was opening up near me. See I'm a big sushi lover, no scratch that I'm sushi obsessed! This place is pretty good, they have a pretty big variety. Only problem I have is that almost 95% of thier rolls have shrimp in it. I'm allergic (read deathly allergic, anaphylactic) to shellfish so I have a hard time find something I can eat here. They do have a roll called a Churassco roll which is delicious and unique. Their thai donuts are also A+ material. Overall this place is good and definitely a must go if you're in the area

Prices are reasonable and if you sign up for the texts, you get heads up on all kinds of promotions. Fish is fresh and delicious. The guys at the bar are super friendly and helpful. If you want something that's not sushi, I absolutely love their fried rice. It's the best fried rice I've had in Miami. I honestly haven't ordered anything here that was disappointing. If you love raw fish, definitely try the Protein Roll.

We love going here to have sushi and the hibachi rice. The tostones and ceviche are awesome too. Last time we sat a the bar and the chef behind the counter was pretty entertaining.

Nice little place, and near to my house! Been a couple of times, the sushi is good. Some of it is a bit "American" (Cream Cheese! Mayo! Deep Fried!), but there are plenty of classics as well. The appetizers have always been a standout. Give them a try...

Try the sea of love and the OMG rolls awesome!

There hasn't been one thing on the menu that I've tried which wasn't delicious! You must try the Sea of Love roll! Unbelievable.

Hidden little gem... Went there with my toddler and husband for dinner on Sunday night. I had ordered lunch there a few days previously for a staff meeting for delivery, and everyone really enjoyed it so I asked my husband if he wanted to try it. It's like a little hole in the wall with a really cute patio area outside that appeared to be clean and had cute patio lights. Perhaps in the winter or spring I'll try sitting out there. We ordered the dragon roll, half, to share (my hubby and I) and it was plenty! Fresh and delish. Then we each ordered chicken teriyaki with steamed rice and it was really tasty and portion size was plenty. For dessert we had the Thai donuts and they serve enough for 3-4 people. They were delightful and not greasy at all. Service was great. Very attentive and quick. Will definitely go back!

My wife and I have passed this place a hundred times, and we always suggest to each other that we will try this place the next time we have a craving for Sushi. Well, we decided to finally try Sakura for the first time a few nights ago with our one-year old son. We walked in and were immediately greeted and offered a high-chair as we were seated. It was between 5:30 and 6 on a Friday night and we were the only people there. That made me a little nervous, but my wife pointed out that they had just opened for dinner. After perusing the menu for a few minutes, we ordered Gyozas, Tuna Tataki, and Salmon Usuzukuri for starters. All three were perfect especially the Gyozas. The salmon was fresh and buttery. Meanwhile, we ordered the West Miami Roll, 1/2 Divine Roll, and 1/2 Sea of Love Roll and child's chicken teriyaki. My son really enjoyed the Gyozas to the point of getting extremely upset when they were all gone. Fortunately, the staff was patient and maintained their attentive service. The rolls and chicken teriyaki were presented just in time. The West Miami roll was delicious and unique, and I wish we would have ordered the full size rolls for the other two. We really enjoyed our dinner that night. On a side note, while we were dinning, a lone female patron entered and was greeted by one of the staff. He politely asked her if she was picking up a to-go order. This made her very upset because he wrongly assumed that since she was alone she was not dining there. She continued to have a poor attitude as she was rude and obnoxious for several minutes even after ordering her dinner-for-one. To my surprise, the staff remained very professional with her. So, based on our first and only visit, Sakura didn't disappoint and earned a 5-Star rating. Sakura will now be one of our go-to places.

I love this place. SUCH GOOD SUSHI! The service is good, the food is good and its a great lunch spot. Highly suggest the OMG roll and the Sea of Love. Others I have tried are also delicious. Parking is convenient as they have their own little lot. I will be coming here a lot.

This place is excellent! A low key environment with great food and a good price. Every time we go there, we try something new and are never disappointed! The food is great, and the price is even better. For sushi, the best deal you will get in town by far. Some of the specialty rolls are $15+ (pretty standard for Miami), BUT they are HUGE. At any other sushi place, my boyfriend and I can easily take down 3 rolls together. Here, we can never get through the whole 3. Kind of a bummer, because the food is always so delicious! In addition, some of the rolls can be ordered in half portions, which is nice if you want to try out something new but don't want to commit to the full roll. As others have mentioned-the service isn't spectacular, but I've never been disappointed either. While the wait staff may not have come by every 5 minutes to check up on us, they were constantly glancing over at our table to make sure our drinks were filled and that we weren't waiting on anything. I love this place and would definitely recommend it!

A few reasons why this place is so good. Ambiance, food is amazing, and it's really close to the house. You want really good sushi then this is the spot.

The first thing i have to say is the food was delicious. The only reason this restaurant is receiving a lower rating is due to the negative attitude of the Manager. We did not know it was the Manager.... we thought it was just a waiter. It took almost three hours from start to finish. Very disappointing. Love this place for lunch. Beware the large sake is severely over priced for a house sake. $15. Prices are not on the menu. We were a party of six.

I just picked up an order to go from here for lunch. Just got the dragon roll and edamame. The dragon roll had no spicy mayo on it and the eel sauce came on the side. The roll is so bland and has no flavor to it, very disappointing especially since this was a recommended roll. Not worth the $$.

Nice little place. Very cute and cozy. Has a decent sized outdoor dining area. Food was very good. The only knock I would give it would be the lack of readily available vegetarian options. Give it a try though!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I've been here several times and have never had a roll I didn't like. Their lunch specials are amazing in quality and value (even on weekends!). The service is fantastic and always friendly and prompt. Javiera has been our server many times, and she is especially delightful. The restaurant is family owned and operated, and most of the employees are related to each other. We tried out their delivery recently, and the sushi was still cold and fresh when we received it -- which doesn't always happen with other places in hot and humid Miami. Overall, this is one of my husband and I's favorite places to go out for dinner. One tip: If it is nice out, sit outside! The one disadvantage to this place is that the acoustics on the inside make it rather loud when it is crowded -- more than you might expect. There are fans outside, and the service is just as good. So enjoy the weather we all live here for!

Orlando L.
Food is great but it's sad that the experience is ruined by the male server Juan Carlos. He has no customer service skills and on more than one occasion he has been rude. Such a shame because when I have visited the restaurant and JAVIERA has served us the experience has been wonderful. Unfortunately although the food is great, everyone wants good service when dining out.

Nope. Came on a quiet rainy night, there was maybe two patrons when we got there. While we were waiting, I noticed that there was an outdoor seating area and asked if we could move outside. We did but the waiter never even placed a votive candle on our table so we were basically dining in the dark with only the glare from the TV they have lighting our food. I kept expecting him to get a damn candle but he never did. Food came, I ordered the west miami roll and as I was eating it, all the rolls kept falling apart. Even some of my boyfriends "sea of love" rolls were falling apart too (I know how to use chopsticks) it was very frustrating. The donut dessert was literally pieces of bland baked bread and the ice cream in the middle. I have no idea what the exact name of the menu item was but it was definitely not donuts and not worth $6.00. All in all will not be coming back.

So my bf was in the mood for sushi so I yelped around for the closest sushi restaurant and to my surprise there was one around the corner which I hadn't noticed and I live by it. This location has not been successful in the past but I'm hoping and praying Sakura stays around. And they deliver! I ordered the tuna and avocado salad which was really fresh and delicious. My bf ordered the crab Rangoon of which I had two of them. They were sooo good with a lot of yummy cheese and with a dipping sweet chili like sauce. I had two of them but could have eaten more for sure. I then ordered half of a Sea of love roll and half a Ricky Roll. My bf ordered half of a Waffle roll and half of a Caribbean roll. My favorites were the Sea of Love and the Waffle. I wasn't too fond of the Caribbean roll but everything else was fantastic! We also had a bottle of Cabernet for $20, great deal. We were way too stuffed for dessert but I will definitely be back and will definitely order delivery. Definitely try this place out, it's really good and I want them to stay around!

I always drive by this location, but I never had the chance to try it out until today! The restaurant itself is very cozy, cute, and it has more of a home-y feel when you walk in. The seating is a bit packed, but they arranged the seating very well for the small size. The service wasn't top notch, but I did come in as soon as they opened the doors and I won't knock off points cause I'm positive they are more attentive in the evening. I did notice that the waiters were more attentive when more staff members and when more clients were walking in. Over all I was pleased and orders came in perfectly so no complaint here. One of the biggest problems I have with menus, especially sushi restaurants, is that I want everything but I can't fill it all in. Luckily some items could be bought as half sizes. So I was able to buy more, but pay less. Which is my #1 favorite thing about this place. The sizes of the rolls are average, but they are a bit more creative when it comes to their food. Presentation is always key with sushi, so I was definitely impressed with how the rolls were brought out, on top of how they tasted! Their Thai Donuts are a must! I absolutely loved the size, the donuts were not greasy(like other restaurants), and they come with ice cream! I'm so happy I had finally been able to try this pace, and I can't wait to be back!

If you are in the area, eat here. The sushi is great, they also have a great selection of Japanese dishes that are sure to please! We love the dragon, but they also have a hearty West Miami roll...good to share with four people. Do yourself a favor, go! Great spot!

This used to be my go to place whenever I had sushi craving because it's close to my house, good, and affordable. But today has been the worst experience since I started going there. I ordered my usual salmon tartare which was my favorite and this time it lacked in flavor and was super fishy. They seemed to have used only the scraps of the salmon and wasn't even cut properly. I was so excited when i saw it coming to my table but disappointed with the flavor. Also ordered the Ricky Roll with brown rice. The brown rice was SO MUSHY!! I had to take off all the rice from the roll cuz it was such an unpleasant texture. They charged me $2 for that mushiness. Oh and it gets worse, there was a piece of Saran Wrap on the roll! When I pointed it out to the server he apologized but when the check arrived there was no discount to compensate for the plastic. We had to ask the server if he could give us a discount. He came back saying a 10% discount was applied and when I opened the checkbook I literally laughed out loud. They gave me a 10% discount of the roll only, not of the check!!! So only a $1.80 discount! Are u serious?! Wow.....I wonder if they have new management or they really just don't care about their customers anymore because after this, I definitely will not be going there or recommending it to anyone anymore. I also noticed that they added Korean food to the menu so maybe they did change owners.

I accidentally found this place on the street, even though is super close to a Main Street, is also kinda hidden, but anyways, I came for the lunch special they had it - salmon lover! Finally a place where I don't have to be extra charged just because I want to eat salmon. Place is very small and intimate, and gets busy and crowded. So I ordered the salmon lover special, it was very good. Salmon was fresh and fatty tasting - a must, in my opinion, roll was properly done was nigiri did not fell apart while I was taking a bite. I only wish I had just a tiny bit more of salmon on the rolls, but that was fine. The portion was very generous, all for $18,00 (minus tax) a little bit pricey compared to other places I've been, but for the quality it was completely worth it. I ordered a take out, so I can comment on the services like many customers here, from my phone experience, all went smoothly.

I ordered for the first time to go and it was good. Salmon tartar was awesome and sea of love was also. Pad Thai wasn't great and the miso dumpling soup was okay too. It was a tad expensive but delivery was quick and sushi was fresh and yummy. Will order again.

Sakura is an awesome neighborhood gem! Their food is excellent (the Miami Heat sushi is a must try!!), they deliver in a good amount of time, the actual restaurant is nice for a date or dinner with friends, there is outdoor seating - and they speak English!! We love this place! I left off one star however, because the last 3 times we ordered we asked for condiments such as hot sauce - stresses that we wanted hot sauce - and got none and the very last time we ordered we asked for two orders of the same thing and only received one and were told we ordered wrong (everyone that was with me heard me order two orders). There was no apology, just a nonchalant "okay, so what?" attitude from the guy on the phone. We're willing to overlook these minor discrepancies if the food quality stays the same and the customer service works out those little kinks.

Came to dinner here last week and this place has really declined since my original review. They are in the middle of renovating which makes for an unpleasant dinning experience. According to our waitress they did not have green iced tea because of this and then she told us that the one they normally use is a powder so it isn't even real green iced tea to begin with. Powder green tea.....not exactly appealing. Lights were way too bright and harsh for a restaurant. They have raised their prices significantly and our tab for sushi for 2 was $80+ tip. While I could overlook the lack of ambiance and renovation issues if it was still reasonably priced I cannot overlook them at the prices they are now charging. This is a hole in the wall sushi place off 8 st. I cannot justify their prices and so the quest continues for a reasonably priced declicious sushi spot.
(2)
Elaine Z.
I'm quite a fan of this hole-in-the-wall spot. Close to my work, I ventured here on a company lunch and left pleasantly surprised. The lunch specials were priced well and the portion size was larger than I expected. The Thai tea was a little too sweet, but I've generally found this to be true at Asian establishments run by non-natives. I had a sushi special - can't really remember the name but I believe there was both salmon and tuna sashimi, as well as an avocado salmon salad. I also tried several coworkers' rolls and enjoyed all of them. The presentation is nice and the fish is fresh. I'm definitely coming back on a work lunch as soon as I can!

So incredibly disappointed in the service. Tried to place a delivery order via Eat24 app, but kept getting an error message saying I'm outside delivery area. I'm less than 15 blocks away and have had Sakura delivered before,so I call restaurant directly. They confirm that they do deliver and take my order online. When I ask if they'll honor the eat24 coupon ($2off) or manually apply a $2 credit, they say no. They tell me that they find it 'strange' that the app would tell me they don't deliver to me when they do. Yes, I agree. I thought so too, but how is that my problem? So, rather than keep my business (present and future) they toss that aside over $2. Pretty pathetic that they'd throw away my $45 order over a $2 credit, but oh well. I'll order my food from Bangkok Thai up the street on Bird Road. Their prices are more than reasonable anyway and their staff is fantastic. Or I'll pick-up from Matsuri or Asian Kitchen or Sushi Saki or Akashi. Tons of options.

This place never fails! I always come with a couple friends and get the roll combo that come with 4 different types of sushi rolls that are the shit. The service is always good and timely. This place is great

First time here and I followed the recommendations even including my favorite beef tataki. The sea of love is worth the hype. Always is the waffle roll. I felt at ease when I found out I could order half instead of the full. Since my main purpose was to try a bit of everythjng. As my boyfriend loved the south miami roll I had to pass. I'm not a fan of sweet sushi. But he loved it. I will definitely go again. Waitress was attentive and all smiles.

This has become a go-to place for lunch in the West Gables area. The Sashimi special lunch is a value at $14.00. The fish is always fresh and I'm yet to have a bad meal. The only concern is that the staff who answers the phone isn't always friendly. Otherwise, they are a solid four stars.

This place is EXCELLENT. The food - fresh, not "fishy". The service - our host/waitress was very attententive... a little airheaded but nice lol. She took great care of our table. I will definitely be coming back again. Great ambiance and food.

I'm visiting Miami and wanted a place that could deliver. Sukura delivered, with a delay, some of the worst sushi and rolls I have ever had or seen. The tuna was brown and looked like old raw meat. I ended up throwing it out. Sad.
(1)

From the friendly staff to the solid food you will not be disappointed to try any of their original rolls to the churrasco teriyaki. This place is a gem right in the belly of coral gables and west miami. The cool Chinese cats, easy vibe, and simple decor will leave you feeling great. Note: If you order online do pickup. This will ensure your food is fresh.

The food was delicious..... Is about the only good thing I can say about this place. If customer service was based on a scale of ugly to beautiful, this is the ugliest beast you would probably ever encounter. My girlfriend and I ordered 3 rolls, and after about 50 minutes we finally got one. Followed by another in 10 minutes. When we ran out of water, the waitress didn't even refill our cups. We had to get up and go inside just to ask for the water and check on what was taking so long on our 3rd roll. After complaining to the manager all we got was a "sorry guys". The waitress had a really nasty attitude. I would understand if they were packed since its a small locale, but there were only 3 other tables seated! Honestly, it was the worst customer service that we have ever received at ANY sushi restaurant that we have been to. WARNING! AVOID UNLESS ITS FOR TAKEOUT.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant, and I've been to some really good ones in Miami- including Zuma. The atmosphere is more chill, but the food is fantastic. The prices are reasonable and the fish is fresh! I always get the block for two of chef selected nigiri/sashimi/sushi. It's AMAZING. My favorites are the fatty tuna, any of the whitefish, and the salmon. The fish are so buttery and delicious.
(5)
Tamas A.
The most ridiculous customer service ever. After waiting 1,5 hours for our food, we got a small portion, cooked unevenly, no sauce on the side. After telling very nicely the waiter about all of this, all we got is a 'sorry guys'. Never again!

The food is always fresh and delicious. However they get 3 stars for their online ordering. I ordered my food at 12:30 and it took 90 minutes to get to me. I understand it's lunchtime rush hour but if I call to ask how long it's going to take because I'm pressed for time, don't lie and say it will be there in 10 mins!!!

Really liked this place! My parents live two seconds away, but we'd never gone. I'm glad we finally did because everything was great. They do half rolls (6 pieces, like $8.00 dollars average), which is an awesome idea. We tried 5 half rolls...OMG, Sea of Love, Divine, Lissy and Waffle. I liked Lissy the best. So good. My husband doesn't like sushi and he really liked his Honey Garlic Chicken. It's a teeny place, but they have an outdoor covered patio. Our server was really nice!

Have often ordered take out from here, so I finally convinced my boyfriend to go and dine in. We checked it out with a couple of his friends who were in town and I was sure they would enjoy it. First off, we asked for patio seating and the host was happy to show us to our table, as we walked outside I noticed that there was a large table that had been set up (probably for a large party) which was now vacant and completely covered in litter. We got sat next to it. I continued to look around and the litter seemed to have not only affected the large table but was all over the floor of the entirety of the patio area. I thought "alright maybe the party has just left and the staff hasn't had a chance to pick up." The mess stayed for our whole dinning experience. Secondly, our server whose name I regret not asking for since he neglected to introduce himself was not all there. At first I was trying to justify him to my friends in saying maybe it was his first day, or maybe English isn't his first language. He never communicated thoroughly with us, when I asked him what he would suggest from the entree menu he at immediately replied "I don't know" after noticing my face of confusion he leaned over me (space invading) to point out on the menu what I should get and of course it was the most expensive thing. Now I don't want to sound cheap, but I've done my fair share of serving tables and I know that you either genuinely share your menu favorites (which can be expensive too) or memorize what the more costly items are on the menu (as to pump up percentages for the later tip). I would have at least appreciated him making the effort to memorize what he had pointed at but he never even said the name of it, just pointed... I think he realized towards the end that we were displeased to say the least and tried to make up for it but it was just a little too late. He had already taken more than 15 mins to bring our waters, messed up on the orders, nglected to clean his section, didn't bring out soy sauce plates before all the sushi came out, and overcharged on the checks. I don't know if it was due to the terrible service we received during our dinning experience that influenced my taste buds but the food was subpar, and not quite up to the standards that I had previously set upon for Sakura. Sorry I really had high hopes for this little restaurant, but what I ended up with was just embarrassment for having been the one that suggested this location for dinner.

Delicious! The ultimate volcano roll is incredible. I just ate a Sushi chef in Coral Gables and immediately wished I would have went back to this place instead. So good! The West Miami Roll is amazing too!

I've been eating here for three years. I am never disappointed. My favorite go-to for lunch is the salmon & avocado salad and kani su. The sushi lunch combos are great too. Delivery is fast for dinner and typically choose The sushi combination for two - you won't find boring California rolls in this combo.

I love this place, my wife and I frequent this sushi spot often. It's fairly priced and I've yet to have a bad roll (they're all actually really good). Drinks (non alcoholic) are limited, but that's most Japanese places. Staff is nice and attentive (less so when seated outside though). I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes too eat out and not pay Miami premium sushi prices.

Went on a Sunday evening and place wasn't so packed. Locale is small (approx 30 person capacity inside) and also has small patio for outdoor dining. Ambient was nice, not very loud, with current pop music in the background. As far as the food goes, to start off I ordered a tuna tartar that came with mariquita chips and it was nothing short of amazing so put that on the must try. I also ordered a volcano roll which was great. My wife had a miso soup, and the sea of love roll which was quite tasty. We also ordered a full side of mixed fried rice (good for 2-3 people) and I must say it was one of the better fried rice orders I've had at any sushi restaurant. It was very tasty with big strips of chicken, steak, and shrimp. Lastly we finished with the fried ice cream and as you know fried ice cream is fried ice cream anywhere. The service was great. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the hostess who sat us right away. Our server came in right away and took our order and even offered some recommendations as it was our first time there. They all work as a team as when our main server was busy with another table the other servers, band even the hostess, came to refill our drinks and take any requests we had. Overall, will definitely be coming back and look forward to trying some other items on their menu. It's a very nice place to grab a bite and enjoy some company.

What can I say other than great things about Sakura Sushi & Bar? I passed by this place almost every day it seemed before trying it out. My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. The menu is very expansive. You get what you pretty much expect from sushi places around town. The only difference: THE FOOD IS SIMPLY DELICIOUS. Nothing makes me happier to bite into a roll that is reasonably priced and exceptionally flavorful. My favorite rolls (so far) are the dragon roll, sea of love roll, and the OMG roll. Yes, OMG roll. It was probably named after that acronym because that's exactly what I said after I had my first bite of the roll. They have other rolls that I'm dying to try: Godzilla roll, Havana roll, Waffle roll, Miami Heat roll, West Miami roll, and Churrasco Roll. Once I try them, I will report back with my findings :) They also deliver to the surrounding area. I've never tried their delivery service so I can't vouch for it. Sakura is a small spot but that's not a bad thing. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Whether it be for a pick up order or sit down, I'm always greeted with a smile and receive the very best service. There is outside dining but I always sit indoors. I really do encourage everyone to try this place.

It was our first time there. We tried the Volcano, Protein, OMG, and Churrasco rolls. Fantastic! Also, we weren't sure which flavored sake to try and our server offered us a sake tasting. We decided on the peach sake. Wow! Great service and laid back atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

Came here craving for Japanese sushi after eating one week of American food on a cruise. I yelped this place for its 4 star review and was completely disappointed. 1. Tea pot missing lid and was covered by soy sauce dish... Really?!?! Can't afford a new pot? Not ever real tea, they put one green tea tea bag in a pot of like warm water so it tasted like water. 2. Sushi rice not cooked all the way thru, hard in the middle and were stuck in chunks 3. Fish not really fresh, acceptable cuz it didn't give me diarrhea, but doesn't taste fresh 4. Noodle soup tasted like instant noodle, I mean I'm 99% sure that it is instant noodle with some meat and veggie added 5. Place was not very clean. I would not recommend it to anyone. This is probably worse than those sushi places inside large shopping malls.

Best place in Miami to get sushi with out leaving with a $300 check or food poisoning. The quality and portions are amazing, the Chef is Japanese traditional. Prices are great ambience is cool and they have a place outdoors also. This is a must check out place if you live in the Gables or The grove. Nobody around compares.

So excited for this wonderful cozy sushi place near home! Service from the moment we were greeted was great until the very end. My favorite part is this place is clean and the food is fresh. My hubby and I enjoyed the jb tempura & churrasco roll very much. Yumm :P

Hands down my favorite sushi place. This little jewel in the middle of 57th ave near 8th street has a great selection of sushi and sashimi. Service is great and that have a great selection of beer and wine. I would recommend the Ricky roll. Always enjoy going there!

Great place. Lunch is amazing with great apecials. I live and work close by so I am a frequent customer. Great place for great sushi. Their bubble tea is delicious!

For my birthday, coworker invited me to sushi and based on reviews we decided to dine in. Small restaraunt and fairly empty during lunch on a Thursday. Not many selections, and mostly sushi . Since im allergic to shrimp, i didnt have alot of options as most of the rolls were made with shrimp. I ordered the Spicy tuna roll and miso soup. I really enjoyed my roll. great portion and fresh. Soup, not so much, Miso was not good at all. my coworker ordered the teriyaki chicken with brown rice and said he really did enjoy it. small place with good prices.

Great Food, Incredible Service It's not often you feel as taken care of as at this place. From our waitress, Javiera, to the chefs, to the owner, Luis, they went above and beyond to give us an amazing experience. There was a 2 for 1 special for beers, and the Miami Heat named rolls were half off during the game. Add the free desserts we got and I could barely walk out of the place, lol. Definitely going back, highly recommend!

this was a great experience! i food was spectacular and the service was top shelf! i ordered a rainbow roll because i figured if you can do the basics right then everythign else must be as good. I was not let down whatsoever! i also had a miso soup, and although it wasn't the best i've ever had, it was still really good! I completely recommend this place! the prices werent bad (lets remember it's still sushi). left completely satisfied!

I eat here at least once a week. It is a great neighborhood spot that provides quality grub and a nice casual atmosphere. The sashimi is always fresh and the moose roll is awesome. For more savory dishes, try the fried rice or amazing mix yaki soba.

I went in with low expectations since I still associated this place with the Spanish restaurant that use to be here. I was pleasantly surprised with Sakura. The food was up to typical Japanese restaurants in the area with a few twists on the menu. This is a nice addition to dining options near the Gables.

Every time I come here I get the volcano roll. It's the best I've ever had. In fact, I generally hate volcano rolls due to the immense amount of pure mayo they top the sushi with but this one is not your average volcano roll. It's made with spicy mayo and it's just delicious. Pretty good fried rice, although not the best. I once tried the fried rice with meat and it didn't taste like high quality meat. Overall, things are very fresh and delicious. Not that quick regarding wait time.

One of my favorite sushi places near the office to go for lunch. The service is great and so is the food, keep up the good work!

Pleasant place... Surprisingly good kimchi!

This was as good or better than sushi that I have had in Japan. Super fresh fish. My favorite were the "rice free" sushi rolls. There are a fantastic choice for low carb dieters. This place rivals Nobu in NYC.

Went with a group of coworkers for lunch, service to begin with was ok but once the lunch rush came in it went downhill fast. Our water wasn't refilled and the salads/miso soups took way too long. From there it only got worse, the people that got sushi got it after 45 minutes of waiting and then the unfortunate ones of us that got Bento boxes waited literally an hour and a half before deciding to leave and take them to go. The quality of the sushi was good but the bento boxes were horrible, stick with the sushi and hopefully your experience won't be so bad.

This is what I like to call a hidden gem! Fresh food, great atmosphere, cozy and inviting. What more can a girl ask for? The Neptune salad is amazing as is their Honey Garlic Chicken and the Hea-dup-pap is TO DIE FOR! It's a mix of chopped fish on a bed of lettuce with julienned cucumbers and other fresh goodness! It's easily my favorite item on the menu! If you're a sashimi fan, you'll thank me later!

I was pleased with the food. The sushi, fried rice, and chicken teriyaki were great I Must admit. However the service could definitely improve and it was a bit pricey.
Lucy Lu D.
The food at this place is delicious however, service is horrible! What a shame because my friends, family and I would be regulars since we live nearby. They need customer service training desperately.
(3)Jackie L.
(1)Nicho D.
Clean, friendly, fast, delicious sushi. We only stuck to rolls and everything we ate was awesome. Definately be back for more!
(4)Maria V.
Awesome! The Miami Heat roll is amazing and the Sea of Love roll had me falling in love! Great little sushi bar!
(5)Suzanne P.
(4)Madeline M.
(5)Shelby W.
Really good chicken teriyaki, fried rice, and salad. =)
(4)Elizabeth S.
We love going here to have sushi and the hibachi rice. The tostones and ceviche are awesome too. Last time we sat a the bar and the chef behind the counter was pretty entertaining.
(4)Bee E.
Nice little place, and near to my house! Been a couple of times, the sushi is good. Some of it is a bit "American" (Cream Cheese! Mayo! Deep Fried!), but there are plenty of classics as well. The appetizers have always been a standout. Give them a try...
(4)J M.
Try the sea of love and the OMG rolls awesome!
(4)Anthony M.
Love this place. Fresh sushi and excellent service.
(5)Cristy D.
There hasn't been one thing on the menu that I've tried which wasn't delicious! You must try the Sea of Love roll! Unbelievable.
(5)Shirley H.

(5)Emmitt M.
No other restaurant serves such authentic sushi. Prices were extremely reasonable . Will differently come back again.
(4)Brittany R.
I love this place. SUCH GOOD SUSHI! The service is good, the food is good and its a great lunch spot. Highly suggest the OMG roll and the Sea of Love. Others I have tried are also delicious. Parking is convenient as they have their own little lot. I will be coming here a lot.
(5)Moe P.
Food was fresh & delicious. The waitress was fast & nice. Restaurant is cute & decor very modern. Menu is huge on selection. I was so busy eating I forgot to take pics.
(5)Lidia C.
Garden salad with ginger dressing... The miso soup... Tuna... All good prices are good too!
(4)Laurin P.
(5)Jimmy M.
A few reasons why this place is so good. Ambiance, food is amazing, and it's really close to the house. You want really good sushi then this is the spot.
(4)Suzette F.
Fish tasted very fresh. Rolls had just right amount of rice. Sashimi fairly generous. Delicious green salad. Service was friendly. We will come back.
(4)Carlos V.
Spectacular addition to West Miami!! Fried rice is great and sushi is always fresh. Good service and price w lots of social media deals via text if u sign up is great for locals!!! Do it!
(5)Alex W.
(2)Jessica B.
I just picked up an order to go from here for lunch. Just got the dragon roll and edamame. The dragon roll had no spicy mayo on it and the eel sauce came on the side. The roll is so bland and has no flavor to it, very disappointing especially since this was a recommended roll. Not worth the $$.
(2)Frank E.
Nice little place. Very cute and cozy. Has a decent sized outdoor dining area. Food was very good. The only knock I would give it would be the lack of readily available vegetarian options. Give it a try though!
(3)Kate B.
Excellent food and fast service! Definitely stop here!
(4)Cathy W.
(5)Orlando L.
(1)Krystle C.

(5)Carla M.
Amazing food and prices!
(5)Adry G.
(5)Jc G.
If you are in the area, eat here. The sushi is great, they also have a great selection of Japanese dishes that are sure to please! We love the dragon, but they also have a hearty West Miami roll...good to share with four people. Do yourself a favor, go! Great spot!
(5)Emi T.
(1)Helena R.
(4)Christie T.
This place gets 5 stars from me! Delicious fresh sushi... The place is super cute And cozy. Outside patio is the best!!! I love the staff JC is the best server ever!!
(5)Bianca M.
I ordered for the first time to go and it was good. Salmon tartar was awesome and sea of love was also. Pad Thai wasn't great and the miso dumpling soup was okay too. It was a tad expensive but delivery was quick and sushi was fresh and yummy. Will order again.
(4)Kay P.
(4)Nicole H.
(2)Elaine Z.
(4)Missd B.
My cousin and I love this place! The sushi is awesome and service is great! Really nice people! The Neptune salad is my favorite and the Lebron role, mmmmmm
(5)Juan N.
Excellent quality, presentation and flavor. Never been in the actual restaurant, I always order delivery !
(5)Debbie R.
(1)Evan L.
Not genuine Japanese food.
(2)Nico D.
This place never fails! I always come with a couple friends and get the roll combo that come with 4 different types of sushi rolls that are the shit. The service is always good and timely. This place is great
(5)Michelle J.
(4)Armando L.
This has become a go-to place for lunch in the West Gables area. The Sashimi special lunch is a value at $14.00. The fish is always fresh and I'm yet to have a bad meal. The only concern is that the staff who answers the phone isn't always friendly. Otherwise, they are a solid four stars.
(3)Diana J.
Super yummy.. Amazing fried rice and loves their teriyaki churasco.. Husband loved the rolls. First time we have Miso soup with real flavor.
(5)Tenielle M.
This place is EXCELLENT. The food - fresh, not "fishy". The service - our host/waitress was very attententive... a little airheaded but nice lol. She took great care of our table. I will definitely be coming back again. Great ambiance and food.
(5)Chris C.
I'm visiting Miami and wanted a place that could deliver. Sukura delivered, with a delay, some of the worst sushi and rolls I have ever had or seen. The tuna was brown and looked like old raw meat. I ended up throwing it out. Sad.
(1)Bin G.
(4)Eddy R.
(1)Diego A.
What a great surprise, we stopped with my wife for lunch before going to the airport, not expecting the quality of the quantity of the food for lunch. That was a great place to have found... see you soon guys
(5)Jessica V.
Hands down best sushi anywhere in Miami. Service is great, food is amazing and staff is super friendly. This is a hidden gem. A must try.
(5)Eden P.
(5)Tamas A.
The most ridiculous customer service ever. After waiting 1,5 hours for our food, we got a small portion, cooked unevenly, no sauce on the side. After telling very nicely the waiter about all of this, all we got is a 'sorry guys'. Never again!
(1)Amanda L.
Amazing spot around the corner :) I called for pickup and my food was ready in ten minutes. Quick service, friendly & smiling staff, phenomenal food! You definitely want to check this spot out for a sweet little date. Enjoy XO
(5)Adri M.
(3)Jessica F.
(5)Michelle T.
