Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Truly italian!! Homemade Taste.. Burrata salad was so fresh the center just melted into the arugula just yumm.. Beef carpaccio didn't need anything but a tad of olive oil the fresh shaved parmesan was on point again you could really taste how fresh ingredients were!! Bolognese pasta was cooked amazing exactly how i like it al dente! We also got the fried calamari which was lightly breaded with the house marinara that has a hint of cayenne just awesome. Service was excellent very attentive! 18%Gratuity is included but to be fair its not enough!! Water was always refilled and you didn't have to look for servers which is rare on a busy sunday night seating outside!! Didn't get to try dessert but ill come back very sooon!! Did i mention prices are super affordable???

Worst Italian food I've had in South Fl. The burrata was a a solid piece of cheese. This was a sign of things to come. Husband got the veal parm- it looked like a microwaved meal! The cheese looked like a piece of plastic! I got the spaghetti with prosciutto, mushrooms, and arugula. It was edible- never need to eat this again. Before I ordered I asked the waiter what was the most popular dish. He said "everything- everything is good." Why an I giving it 2 stars? Because their Italian beer hit the spot.

This place is great for moderately priced italian. The calamari: to die for! I went here with my girlfriend, we got a carafe of the house wine, and shared a plate of fettuccine. The sauce was delectable. The best part about this place, however, is that is in a little corner of Mary Brickell Village. Almost hidden. It made it feel like a special little place all to ourselves. However, do not mistake how quaint it is for its unpopularity...there were actually quite a good amount of people here! The wine selection was not all that great, but the house wine was just fine. Definitely recommend this place for a sexy little date night.

I cannot get enough of this place! A must whenever I'm in brickell. Always have to have the calamari to start which is lightly breaded and fried to perfection. The oil they have for the bread on the table is infused with cayenne so it gives you palette a unique taste. The marinara here is to die for. Even if u order just a simple pasta with marinara you will not be disappointed.

Finally decided to give this place a try and was pleased with the food, service and price. To start you are given fresh bread with a red pepper olive oil. The olive oil definitely has a kick to it but is enjoyable. I ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. All dishes are homemade and it's obvious in the taste of the food. I really enjoyed how the chicken was already chopped up for me and I didn't have to worry about a huge piece of chicken being thrown on my pasta. For dessert, I tried the tiramisu, which is probably the best I've had in the Brickell area. Delightfully creamy and fresh. The service was great as well. The server made sure our glasses of water were always full and continued to check up on us without rushing us out the door. Also, the prices are fair for the location. Plates start at around $11 and there are daily specials.
(4)Kiki L.
Good, not great. Wanted to try it because it looked cute from the outside. Service was lacking. Main dishes didn't disappoint but didn't make me want to rush back. I see this as the kind of place that when I'm craving italian and Perricone's is slammed with an hour wait, I could possibly get by here for an emergency craving. Tiramisu was the highlight of the meal.

Great food and service! Sad to hear that after enjoying the last 14 years worth of their amazing food...Rosinella's Downtown restaurant is soon closing and that we'll have to travel to their South Beach (Lincoln Road Mall) restaurant to feast on their tasty meal creations instead.
(5)Anita G.
This is authentic italian food. Every time I eat their tomato sauce I feel like I'm in Italy! The only problem is the service is very italian too (rude). But the place is very spacious and again the food is worth the trouble!
(4)V S.
Have dinner here, on average, once a week. The best place to have a home cooked meal when you are too tired to make dinner yourself. We like everything on the menu, specially the side veggies that come with the Chicken Marsala. They are so nice, you wouldn't believe it but gratuity is included. Same goes to Rosinella Market, where they know your brand of cigarettes, the wine you like, etc. Was going to deduct a star for the lack of Bellini on the menu. But then I remembered their Panna Cotta. It makes up for it.
(5)Joel R.
Made the mistake of going back. Mushroom Soup Plate of plain pasta with 2 anchovies 18% fixed gratuity (isnt it the point that you leave an amount in proportion to the satisfaction of service provided!) Glass of water(complimentary) = $22 bucks Oh well...at least I enjoyed a mouthful of dust and excruciating drilling sounds while eating outside on the terrace ....gave me time to contemplate that with all the brickell construction, just how greedy B@#@$ the developers in Miami have become!!

Great Italian food and great service as well. I have been to this restaurant for lunch and dinner and food has always been amazing.
(5)Alissa W.
I must have hot this place the first time on a good night with a chef they fired. I have been back 2 times since and the food has been less than average. Last night I went and ordered the same things I have got the past two times. I kind of make my own meal. I ask for the spaghetti pomodora with grilled chicken, and diced up fresh mozzarella. What I got was "cat food" last night. The chicken did not come out grilled looked like canned chicken, or even canned tuna. I got the manager the sauce was floating in oil as if it had been sitting way to long, or even put in the microwave to reheat. The first time for the price i was blown away my meal was amazing the past two times I noticed it just keeps getting worse !
(2)Adalberto M.
Perfect little spot for authentic and inexpensive Italian food. I had the Prosciutto Panini and my wife had the Spinach Ravioli. Both were absoutely delicious! The service was also very friendly and attentive.
(4)Sandra A.
Although their pizza/pasta is really good, this place is abusive to its customers... Just got charged 10% extra for my pick-up order! WOW! I understand when they charge for delivery, but charging to "sell you the food" is just plain ridiculous! I've never heard of this anywhere else! Also, the service here is HORRIBLE! the servers are in a bad mood most of the times, and I was once asked to "hurry up and pay because they needed the table (we were 6)" How Rude! Will take my business elsewhere!
(2)Julio G.
Really, I am surprised people don't like this place as much as I do. The lasagna is bomb. The grilled calamari salad esta muy bien. Risotto was not bad either. All pretty affordable, making it easy to become a regular. They know us there too. Go there once a week. Makes me feel like I might be Italian. The bad: Ah, if they had good bread. I mean even remotely edible bread, it would be 5 stars. But their bread is really bad. Worse than old wet cardboard. Not sure why because they own the bakery next door- which by the way is also not that impressive.
(4)Lucy F.
Holy lobster/crab ravioli! Delicious, very friendly and what a bang for a buck. The positive experience started with the cheerful parking attendant (yes they have their own little lot in the back so no need to find parking). Then we were delighted with our server in general she was happy to help faciliate our dinner and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was Tasty- capital T needed in this reference. Can't wait to go back and try new items.
(4)michael g.
I am amazed that everyone who said something bad, were complaining about the same easily-fixable things. Here are 5 things I think the restaurant needs to do to get better reviews: 1. First read theYelp reviews. They are very helpful; 2. Get better, softer bread and maybe warm it up; 3. Probably change the manager and have him/her hire happier staff; 4. Lower the prices slightly; 5. And substitute pasta (any kind) for potatoes without a problem. Simple.
(2)Stephanie L.
Perfect Saturday night dinner. Seated right away and all our dishes came out quickly. Burrata appetizer was tasty. Veal parmigiana, black linguine and risotto primavera specials were all amazing. Ended the meal with delicious cannoli and tiramisu. We'll definitely be back. Solid meal.
(4)Lea Ann N.
Rosinella has been around way before the Mary Brickell area became such a hot spot. The food is consistently good. The soups of the day are always yummy and they make a great Ceasar salad. Everything tastes home made. The portions are not large, but they reflect the prices, which are quite reasonable for the area. The service is always efficient and no-nonsense. We appreciate that. They have a parking lot behind the restaurant which is great since parking has become challenging in the area.
(4)Naomasa H.
I was excited to finally trying this neighborhood spot after living in Brickell. It has a nice menu with extensive daily specials that are hand written. That's always a good sign. I had a great black fettuccine dish. Sitting outside, felt like a little piece of Europe.
(4)Kevin P.
Food was excellent and fairly priced, but the service and drinks weren't up to par. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it turned out to be the worst drink I've ever had since it was not prepared properly. Our waiter refused to remake it or allow me to switch it for another drink. Overall, a decent spot for good food, a bottle of wine and bad service, but good thing they don't make their own wine.
(3)Alex S.
Our favorite Italian spot in miami. The food is great, the service is friendly, and the place is homey and warm. Love their Cesar salad (no anchovies, not even in the dressing!) and pastas. Not as pretty as pericones, but the food is way better.
(5)Wes B.
I couldn't agree with the other reviews more. This clearly is a little gem in its area. Lots of history and the atmosphere shows it. We found this place to be energetic and friendly. The food was outstanding and the service good. Would definitely stop here again next time I'm in town.
(5)Andrés C.
If you're looking for an italian restaurant with amazing food and good prices, this is the place to be. The pasta, the lasagna, the pizza, everything is very tasty! Great quality food. The attention and service are good but could be better, and there's no refill. Everything else is great.
(4)Rebecca B.
Excellent Italian food in the heart of brickell. The prices are extremely reasonable for the area, and the portions are generous.
(5)Jeanette N.
Great bang for your buck! And tasty too. It is so hard to find good food at Brickell for a reasonable price. However, when looking at the menu for the first time I was quite impressed at the "possibly cheaper than Olive Garden" prices for more authentic Italian food in a very nice part of town. The food did not disappoint me either. My food experience at Rosinella was with the "Penne Gorgonzola" and their "Tiramisu". Upon ordering the pasta I asked if they could add mushrooms. Mmm... what can I say? The pasta was absolutely DELICIOUS. That Gorgonzola sauce was out of this world. I was actually sad when it was over. It was a great choice, and vegetarian-friendly too! As far as the Tiramisu goes, I think that was one of the best Tiramisu's I have ever had in Miami if not the best. I feel like most places that serve Tiramisu serve a hard cream, day old version of it. Rosinella's Tiramisu on the other had was so silky, and it did NOT taste like day-old Tiramisu. Absolutely delish! The service was good too. So, if everything was so great, why not give the place a 5th star? Well, for me to give a place 5 stars it needs to be 100% wonderful. The only thing I feel this place lacked upon was the bread they give you before the meal. It was cold and pretty average. Nothing that wowed me. Other than that though, everything was absolutely wonderful. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends.
(4)Alison M.
I had a lovely date night dinner at Rosinella's and I really can't complain about anything. The food was absolutely delicious, exactly what I wanted and the ambiance was perfect. I ordered the prosciutto, mozzarella and tomato panini and it was just that. No condiments or anything else, but it's amazing how flavorful and delicious really fresh, quality ingredients are. The sandwich wasn't really a panini, because it wasn't pressed, but it came on warm crusty ciabatta bread. On the side, was a small salad of lettuce and balsamic dressing. It was simplicity at its best. The bf ordered the margarita pizza. It was thin crust Italian style pizza with lots of cheese and basil. He enjoyed, but didn't finish. It was pretty big I think it would be enough for 2 people to share with an appetizer or salad. For dessert we shared the panna-cotta. I am a huge fan of panna-cotta and I have to tell you that Rosinella did not disappoint here. It was a perfect melt in your mouth dessert on a bed of chocolate sauce. The chocolate sauce was unexpected, but good. I like Rosinella's. It feel's like an intimate, local Italian, neighborhood eatery. Unlike what other yelpers have mentioned, I had no problem with service. Our water glasses were constantly refilled without us having to mention it and our waiter came around periodically. Sure, maybe they weren't at our table every second, but I felt like the extra moment they left us alone was part of that European charm. We were never left alone long enough that we had to flag down a waiter etc. I'd definitely come back here.
(4)Joseph D.
Food here is consistently good, from the pizza to the pasta. We eat here 1-2 a week because it's priced so reasonably, especially for the Brickell area. Service is usually on point too, however, I have to say there has been once or twice that I ordered a pasta dish and felt the portion was too small and I'm not a person that eats a lot. All in all nice Italian food at great prices.
(4)Mario B.
Love Rosinella. I've eaten here for years, first on the beach and then downtown. The downtown location has its own parking lot right next to the restaurant in an back alley. It's fantastic, because it's free and parking downtown is a problem on most days. The food here is fantastic! And it's a great value. We often have the organic calamari salad (naked calamari - not fried) to start. The lobster / crab ravioli are excellent. Another favorite is the spaghetti with clams and the veal milanese. We often take our 5 year old here because the service is usually very quick. So there's no long wait for the food or seating, and that helps us out. I highly recommend Rosinella to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive meal and appreciates real Italian food vs. American Italian.
(4)Breetanie B.
I eat the same thing every time and I wouldn't change a thing: eggplant Parmesan. Exactly like they make it in northern Italy. It's a perfectly appropriate portion & actually healthy, compared to most Americanized versions of the dish. My SO gets whole wheat penne with salmon & pink sauce, every, damn, time. He loves it. It's not always on the menu but we ask and they Aleta's make it anyway. The venue is a little rustic & the staff not so smiley but we take what we can get & we love them anyway!

Went for the first time last weekend....The restaurant is very clean and hommie/ i would have rated it with 4 stars but the service, well the waitresses are poorly trained / they brought the bread that they give you as a starter dump it on the table with some spicy oil (that i dont think is olive oil based) that doesn't taste that good the bread was cold and hard like if it was sitting out there for a long time...we couldn't eat it // We ordered the Spagetti Bolognese and the Stuffed Ravioli, they where both delicious i have to say, the sauce is authentic italian, the portion of the spagetti was good but the raviolis only brough 6 raviolis (not so big) so i stayed hungry...For dessert we shared the Ricotta cheesecake and it was really good but it could have been better if they would have brought it cool not cold just out of the refrigerator that made it hard to dig in to....
(3)Gus M.
The food could have gotten four stars, but the $3 to substitute vegetables and potatoes for pasta is outrageous. We got the fried calamari appetizer ($10), which was good, but nothing compared to other places in the area. I ordered the pasta of the day which was green linguine, chopped chicken, radicchio, and chopped tomatoes. The way it is put together makes for an interesting dish, but I had to add some salt, pepper, and red pepper oil to make it more flavorful. This was $13 and was a good medium-size. Between me and my girlfriend it was easily $46 with 18% tip they add automatically. They should really offer some kind of lunch specials, maybe a $10 sampler dish or something. Everything on the menu was $12+ and that is just too expensive for lunch. The bread they serve is room temperature, and the crust is rock-hard. The red pepper flakes in the olive oil is a great idea, and a nice alternative to butter, or standard olive oil and spices. Definitely one I'll be trying at home. I would like to go back and try the pizza. The old man sitting next to me ordered one that looked like ham and black olives and I was ready to ask him for a slice. It looks like quite the promising pie of pizza. A lot of construction is going on in the area, so parking on the street might be a bit of a mission, but not a huge headache.

It's ok if a restaurant doesn't aspire to greatness. If it's an Italian restaurant, it's ok as long as the veal parmigiana is tasty, with a great tomato sauce and reasonable mozzarella. It's ok as long as the bread is chewy and plentiful. It's ok if the waitstaff is accommodating and friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, only one out of three applies to Rosinella Downtown, sister restaurant to the Lincoln Road joint on Miami Beach. And that's a real--and unnecessary--shame. You can sit outside at Rosinella Downtown, and catch the local flavor of attractive young couples trooping off to debauch at Mary Brickell Village. Lots of bicyclists seem to use the corner as some kind of staging area. They're either a large, friendly bunch out for a late-night spin, or they're up to serious no good. Either way, the smell of good pot wafts by your table, adding to the herbal mix of old school tomato sauce. The young waitresses who take your order and bus the tables could not be more miserable looking. They must be working off some kind of bad debt and not being paid, because they go about their work with a grimace. Good service in Miami is oxymoronic, we all know, but do these girls really not participate in the tip pool at all? Very strange stuff. The bread is some lousy, white bread reheat. Not worth the calories. The veal (and chicken) parmigiana are very good, although the dayglo orange cheese is somewhat off-putting. But what really tightened my colon on my last visit occurred before the food arrived. For some reason, they serve chicken parmigianna with steamed carrot spears and new potatoes. I don't know of any Italian joint that doesn't serve spaghetti with this entree. When I asked the waitress if I could substitute spaghetti for my potatoes, she told me I could have penne (plus a surcharge). "But I prefer spaghetti," I beseeched. "Couldn't I have spaghetti?" I was told that the restaurant "doesn't do that.' I simultaneously became peeved and curious: what possible reason could a restaurant have for forbidding spaghetti? Was there a political or geographic basis for this decision? (By the way, the restaurant serves lots of good spaghetti dishes.) I asked to speak to the manager, a very nice fellow who immediately asked if I was enjoying myself. "Yes," I responded, "but I'd really rather prefer spaghetti over the penne. I understand there's a surcharge, but could I, please, have spaghetti?" "No, sorry, no can do," he answered. "We don't do that." "Don't do what? Serve spaghetti?" "We serve spaghetti, but the substitution is penne." "But I don't like penne. You earlier asked me if I was enjoying myself. You obviously are concerned with my enjoyment. I'd enjoy having spaghetti." "Sorry, the owner won't allow it." I grew very sorry for this manager, who lacked the overall authority to override management's dictate of NO SPAGHETTI WHEN SUBSTITUTING POTATOES. I asked why that was, and he explained that the penne was pre-cooked, making it more efficient to serve. Serving pre-cooked food over freshly cooked was the rationale for this inviolable rule. "Now I understand. You need to serve the pre-cooked stuff." The manager grew content as he finally was able to make this unreasonable patron understand their business decisions. I'm sorry that a place that at least had good veal parmigianna serves pre-cooked food, and I'm sorry that the staff there are unable to make a patron happy. Now I understand why the waitresses walk around looking so miserable.

Not sure what changed, but I've been here twice recently since my first review. Ordered a simple spaghetti and meatball special on one occasion, and gorgonzola pasta on the other. Both meals were very "meh". The tomato sauce on the meatball entrée had very little flavor; store-bought Prego would have been an improvement. Both times the servers never checked on us, offered us refills, etc. They stood around almost purposely *not* checking on things. Unlike the first time we went, which was a bustling weekend evening, these times were around 6pm on weeknights (and pretty dead). We will not be returning.

what can I say. handmade pasta.. UFF

A small, neighborhood restaurant with inexpensive, comfort food Italian. We had the pizza and I ordered a tiramisu. The pizza was simple but good, I'd definitely go order again. Dessert was a bowl of tiramisu but I found myself eating more of the cream and not so much the other layers as they were overwhelming and I wasn't a fan of the overall dish. This would be a good place for dining alone or meeting a small party of friends for a casual, albeit slightly mediocre dinner. This place is convenient but lacks any "wow" factor. I live near by and would probably opt for other nearby Italian eateries.

A few months ago, I would have given one or two more stars. When we first moved to the area, we found this cute restaurant in Mary Brickell. The prices are very affordable and the food average....just average. But because the prices were so good we continued to support this restaurant with many, many friends that would visit our new abode. Then, I started getting tired of ordering the same dish (Penne Arribiatta) so tried the Chicken Parm......yuk, the worst I have ever tasted. We had the same waiter more than ten visits and he was always helpful, accomodating and friendly. Then, got really tired of the same old menu, nothing new to try. The specials are the same everyday......Boring, boring, loved coming here at least once or twice a week but will not go anymore as the food does not excite me anymore...... And the final draw was being regular customers, knowing we were frequent customers, one night took some friends there after bragging how good it is and decided to take my own wine. I specifically had a taste for ceratin bottles that my friends would enjoy. Keep in mind in the past visits always ordered their wine, inexpensive, no big deal wines......This night I wanted better....so they charged us $25.00 each .....Fifty bucks for them to open it and for regular customers, I was a bit taken back by this.... I do not mind a corkage fee, but come on give me a break $25 for a two star restaurant......I really felt they took advantage of us and have not gone back since.......

"This place looks very European" My co-worker said when when they sat at the table in between the stucco-walled corner and a gate/door adorned with bougainvilleas. I looked around and thought, yeah, that white metal gate looks very European, but alas, I soaked it all in and ended up coming to the conclusion that this is as European is it's going to get in the middle of concrete-jungle Brickell. We looked over the menu and I decided to get the lunch special, Mushroom Ravioli in a cream sauce, he got the gorgonzola penne. The food was spot-on, very well cooked, very nice flavors for a casual meal. My ravioli was not only stuffed with mushrooms but also had mushrooms in the sauce. We topped it all off with a nice expresso and back to work we went. Cute spot, pretty good option for Brickell if you want to splurge a bit. Nothing mind-blowing, but still yummy.

After having heard many good things about Rosinella's in Brickell, I decided to try it out myself. When my friend and I were looking for a place to have some dinner in Brickell on a Wednesday night, i immediately suggested we try it. We walked in and, while there were guests seated at several tables, I got the impression it was an older crowd (like way older). We were seated at a table in the back. First, I tried the bread, which was good, but I like to dip my bread in olive oil and that was not good. The olive oil/pepper mix they had going was waaaaaaay too spicy and made me end up drinking more than half of my water. We ordered some house wine (by the glass) and I wasn't very impressed with the selection. For dinner, my friend had the Chicken Gorgonzola and I had the Risotto Funghi Porcini. Both dishes were delightful.. Also, while the portions were the perfect size (I ate it all), I have to say in most other restaurants you get a better value for your buck. That is, either the prices should be adjusted or they should serve you a larger plate. We were full, so we didn't try any coffee or dessert. The service was great; our waitress brought out everything quickly and was very hospitable. She brought out our check quickly and was very nice. I may go back to eat there some day, but we'll see...
(3)Martin O.
This is one of the only Italian Restaurants in the Brickell area. I tried their Veal Chop and it was just okay. They didn't have the pasta dishes I was looking or. Perhaps I will give them another try someday. There is free Brickell Parking in back. It's in the alley just North of the restaurant.
(3)Vanessa S.
I was exhausted, starving and craving the warm goodness of Italian in my belly. My best friend took me to Rosinella on a cold Sunday afternoon, she is more of a pasta lover than I so I knew this place wouldn't disappoint. Maybe it's because I wasn't in a hurry or maybe because the atmosphere was so laid back but the unrushed service didn't turn me off. I was turned on however, by the spicy red pepper olive oil served with their crusty Italian bread. For entrees we ordered Spaghetti Bolognaise and Porcini Risotto both were piping hot and tasted like the home cooked Italian we were craving. A rowdy group of guys joined us mid meal, since we had to sit there and wait for them to eat we decided to order dessert, pana cotta, yumm, the texture was great and the flavor was mild to cleanse the palate while still sweet enough to be considered dessert. All in all a good spot for a lazy meal, it's now on my list of approved pasta spots!
(4)Juan S.
Food...ok Service...not so good Price...reasonable Forced tip of 18%?: Outrageous!!! Are you kidding me?? This is NOT the Beach or a tourist area. I HATE it when good places make this stupid move. They've just lost my business.
(2)Pamela H.
Terrible service. Waiters don't even greet the costumers. Service charge comes already included an 18%. I asked the manager to allow me to edit the tip percentage, he claims the 18% service charge is not tip but to have bread served on my table. Food quality was very poor, fish of the day was dry.

Came here today for lunch with some co-workers for a birthday celebration. We got seated immediately and got our order taken quickly as well. I ordered the Penne Gorgonzola, which was delicious and flavorful. Also a hefty portion for being pasta, so I definitely got my monies (money's?) worth. And at only $9.95, I was extremely happy about it. We shared the calamari as an appetizer, which was also delish. To end things off on a high note, we shared a pretty large bowl of tiramisu, which was, again, amazing. Never seen tiramisu come in a bowl either, so I was pretty amused by that. They bring you bread prior to your meal, but it was pretty bland. Doesn't make or break eating here though, so pay no attention to that. The waiter was on point, constantly refilling my water and the iced tea of my dining peeps. Would definitely come here for again for lunch. Oh! The parking is also a breeze. You can either pay-to-park on a street adjacent to the restaurant or at a lot across the street.
(4)Brittany R.
Yes Rosinella is a chain, there are a few. However, with this one, you would never guess that. The feel is old and family style. The mom and pop appearance of the place really gives it that authentic Italian vibe. Great service and food. Everything is served super fast and hot to order. And it is very reasonable. Big lunch spot in Brickell. Things we like to get, the Chicken Parm is great- (not on the menu but you can order it). Also, when they have it, the Lobster Ravioli. It's great, I get it every time. Part of what makes great italian food, is great sauce. Let's just say they have it in the bag. This place does not take reservations, so if you get there on a Friday or Saturday night, be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for a table.
(5)Andres R.
I had a fantastic experience at this gem. An appetizer (carrot soup), entree (spinach stuffed raviolis with ricotta chesse in a tomato sauce, plus chicken) and a panna cotta, all for $26 (including tip)...this is unheard of in the Brickell area - especially since the quality of the food and service was great. I'll definitely be returning; kudos to management!

My wife and I went here on a Thursday, when the wait at Perricone's was more than we were willing to endure. We shared a salad and each got an entree (mushroom raviolis and chicken parm) and a glass of house red (I think it was cabernet but could be wrong). Everything was tasty, and the prices were comparable to-if not lower than- what it would have cost at Perricone's on a Thursday (pasta special night). I'd go back. A lot of reviews on here seem to complain about it not being more of a fine dining place but that's not what it aspires to be. It's more of a trattoria, and it succeds in that (and is priced appropriately- our bill was about $40).

3 1/2 stars service is VERY slow our waitress Ina had absolutely NO energy or enthusiasm but the food was delicious maybe we'll b back but not a favorite place to look foetad to We had an out of town guest and we wanted to have a nice, simple dinner in a place where we could catch up. Friends and Yelp suggested this place so we went. The place is small and very cute but, the service was terrible. I gave it 4 stars because the food is totally delicious. Our waitress had absolutely NOOOOO energy or desire to be there, answers to our questions were one word or not too many. But oh well, wine was good, bread was tasty and the food was totally delicious (as mentioned) We'll probably give it another chance and make sure we have a different waiter with some life in him/her....lol!

Great food every time! Love the place, always crowded but great roman-like vibe. You definitely should try it as a quick bite or business meeting lunch.

The food is good but pricey and the service can be awful.

Not sure what happened over the years but the level of service/management is horrible. Food taste is not consistent.

Do I hear a 'whatevs' in the air? I live directly across the street from this place. Yesterday, we decided to forego Fratelli Milano and check this pasta place out because it was so much closer to home. Boy were we disappointed. 1. Food. The pasta we ordered was very salty and it was advertised to come with mushrooms--I'm still wondering where the mushrooms were. Our appetizer was supposed to be Beef Carpaccio; what we got was frozen cold, wet, and paper thin beefsicles covered with winn-dixie parmesan chunks. Not good. 2. Service. Strange...The waitresses created such an akward atmosphere that I was constantly confused as to whether I should drink water or wait to be served more. It seemed like everytime I reached for my glass, it signaled a waitress to come over and refill my cup. I appreciate the attention and all, but after the 5th time of a sip's worth of water refilling, I began to wonder if I was here having dinner with my wife, or with the waitress. 3. Price. These people are crazy. Like I always say, I'll pay for quality, but this place's pricing is unrealistic. We shared an entree and had a small appetizer and my bill was $30! 1 appetizer and 1 HUGE entree at Fratelli (1 mile away) or Perricones (across the street) will run you from 17-25 bucks. I reckon I cannot recommend this spot.

used to be a great place - good service, good location, good food. all the things necessary to enjoy a simple night out for dinner in the neighborhood. Now, the service has gone to hell (constantly had to go in, looking for waitress to ask for bread, additional items to order, drinks, etc)....the food is so-so (home cooked meals are much better - which begs the question of why I even bother going to this restaurant) and the attitude of staff is awful!! Management doesnt seem to care about their clients' satisfaction either. It's just not worth it anymore. On the look out for a good italian in the area. Will not ever return to Rosinella.

We used to love Rosinella. Unfortunately our latest experience was quite disappointing. We had a weekend lunch in an uncrowded dining room. My wife wanted to order the Caprese Salad and asked if the mozzarella was fresh or if it was from Italy. The waitress said it was from Italy so my wife ordered it. My son had a pizza and I orded the Vitello Tonnato and the tuna and white bean salad with a Chianti. When my wife's salad arrived, the cheese was four small white pucks of Publix domestic mozzarella, or equal. She asked another waiter if these pieces of cheese were actually from Italy and he said, no. Back went the salad. My son's pizza was fine, if a bit bland. My vitello tonnato was extremely bland. If there was any tuna in the sauce it was extremely well disguised and would not have scared any of my fish-phobic friends. The veal was over cooked and as dry as shoe leather. Many of the white beans in the salad were burnt, which in a way was of a good sign because you at least knew that they weren't from a can. Unfortunately there was so much chopped romaine lettuce filler in a salad that should not have any lettuce that I spent half of my meal fishing lettuce out of the beans. I had to flag down three different waiters in an attempt to get some lemon for my veal and for the bean salad. The first time the waiter brought the lemon, it was two small slices from the bar. The second time, the fourth try, they actually brought some decent slices. Throughout the entire meal our original waitress was missing in action and most of the rest of the staff was mostly clueless in that unique, South Florida, I just got here and cant speak a word of English but I was able to get a job really easy, sort of way.

I have given this place many opportunities to redeem itself, but this was the last time I will EVER go! They have the worst service in downtown miami (which is saying a lot)! They seat u quickly but thats about as far as the service goes. Today we waited almost 10 minutes for a server to come to the table and take our orders. Once the order was taken, she brought us our drinks (about 5 mins later) and had a horrible attitude and made a face as she did this. I ordered a "Cesar" salad which was really iceberg lettuce and mayo (gross!). 30 mins later our food finally arrived, it was cold and nothing to brag about. Getting the check was a mission too! There are so many fanastic restaurants around Brickell, avoid this one!!

Not impressed. We opted for Rosinella instead of Perricones tonight (we didn't want to walk to Fratelli Milano, even though we probably should have). We shared the Fettucine Funghi and had the beef carpaccio as an appetizer. Both were "whatevs." The fettucine was really salty and had tinyyyyyyy pieces of mushrooms. The service was awkward... The server tried to take our plates as I was scooping my last bite. Yeah, weird. For what we paid here we would've been 3000x more satisfied at Fratelli Milano or even Perricones.

Let me start with the stars: Food (pizza excluded): 5 stars Pizza: 2 stars Service: 1 star I have to give this place 5 stars because the food is absolutely delicious, authentic and made like any italian mamma would. I ate here 3 times and ordered the Risotto with Funghi porcini the first time, and it was great, as good as any restaurant in Italy. The second time I had the stupid idea of ordering pizza, and it was average at most, it tasted a little better than a frozen pizza. The third time I ordered Spaghetti alle Vongole (spaghetti with clams) and it was also very very tasty, and not in a red sauce (which is how it's done in Italy), but with a light white wine and butter sauce with parsley and garlic, just perfect. The service is below average, if the food wasn't that good I wouldn't go back to this place. The servers look like they're doing you a favor and if you don't call them they won't come refill your drink. Also, the time when I ordered pizza I also had a Coke to drink and had 2 glasses, and I was charged twice, so if you're a soda lover BEWARE! When asking the waiter about it, he said that they charge by the glass (of COKE???), but it's not mentioned in the menù, so that was quite a disappointment, but it's in line with the poor service you get. Prices are very reasonable considered that you get authentic food and italian wannabe places charge you pretty much the same.

Went here for dinner last night (Tuesday.) The place was moderately packed. We asked for the gnocchi gorgonzola even though it was not on the menu and they made it without hesitation. The gnocchi was so delicious. It melted in your mouth like butter. I will definitely be going back if only for that.
(4)Allie W.
Everything here is great. Something so basic-spaghetti with tomato sauce-is SO good. One of the best restaurants in Mary Brickell.
(4)AshleyMarie O.
It's a cute little place with a cute little name and cute little outdoor tables. We went to grab lunch and couldn't decide where to go (as you know via the discussion I had about it in the Talk section). So we tried this place out, I've been here before and it was ok, not memorable but ok. We both got sandwiches and I actually like that they come with that tasty side salad instead of fries (although I wanted fries I was glad it comes with a salad in the end) My mate was not sure if his sandwich was what he ordered but he ate it anyways. We never saw our waiter much but one of the busboys was taking care of us, and as I work in the industry I grabbed condiments from the service station as we needed/wanted them :0) I know its annoying sometimes but whatever. The sandwich's were good, again not memorable but yummy enough. I had 1/2 of my sandwich leftover that I brought back to a coworker (never got feedback on it but I assume she liked it enough). I like that its close to my house and its a cute little place, I have to try it for dinner so I can see what everyone is talking about with the pasta though.

Like a Burger King across the street from a McDonald's, Rosinella is literally situated next to another Italian restaurant. The other restaurant is Rosa Vito, though I've been told it's more like fast-food Italian. In my continuing hunt for another good downtown Italian restaurant, I've stumbled into Rosinella. I happened to be with my best friend who is just about the most Judgmental Italian you'll ever meet. Sometimes I use him as a litmus test for determining whether a restaurant has an authentic Italian feel. But don't let that fool you, the dude loves him some Wendy's. That's right, Wendy's. He can't pretend to have a discerning palate when he'll give you up to the feds on racketeering charges for a junior bacon cheeseburger. So we show up to this place and immediately upon being seated the Judgmental Italian takes away points because our waitress didn't speak Italian. "How dare a Venezuelan serve us Italian food?!" We went to the Olive Garden one time at the behest of another friend and he just about went Columbine (too soon?) on everyone. Italians are almost as bad as Argentinians. I had spaghetti pomodoro e basilico and he had gnocchi. While we waited for our food we spent time guy-rating the women that passed by. If you're not familiar with guy-rating, it's a system in which women are rated on a scale based upon how thoroughly you'd ravage her body. For instance, I see a girl passing by and I'll say, "yup, I'd hit it tonight and then tomorrow morning." Another lady may acquire a, "meh, I guess I'd hit it double bagged and she's gotta be gone by midnight." There are varying degrees of hititude, however all women must be slept with. An extremely attractive woman can garner "I'd raise babies with that bitch," whereas an average girl receives "doggy and missionary only, spoon for 4 minutes, not deny in front of friends if asked about it," and a very unattractive chick gets, "blackout drunk, her place, cold shower in the morning, and always change the subject when talking about sex until you sleep with someone pretty." When we received our food, Judgmental Italian did this thing where he bitches about the fact that the sauce is too red. I called him a fag in a non-homosexually-insensitive fashion and tried my spaghetti. I would rate this place above Puntino but a few notches below Fratelli and Soya. From my understanding Rosinella is a family-owned restaurant by Italian immigrants. Not Jersey Shore Italians, I mean the real deal that probably lack papers. That point alone lends them credibility. I want to give this place another shot, maybe with a fat person that would hype me up to the food a little more than Judgmental Italian would. All in all I'd say it's a decent restaurant, though the wait staff can be a bit slow. I still suggest Soya if you're really looking for a great Italian meal, though considering those motherfuckers take a siesta for half the day and flat-out refuse to open evenings for half the week you're going to need more Italian restaurant options anyway. Oh, and before I forget, our waitress rated a "sure, and maybe even a date a week later." Wonderful achievement! PEOPLE WHO WOULD ENJOY IT: Lunch crowd working in the area. PEOPLE WHO WOULD NOT ENJOY IT: Lunch crowd working in Seattle.

A true family-owned, local Italian bistro with a Tuscan feel in the heart of Brickell. Complimentary Italian country bread accompanies red pepper oil. Grilled calamari appetizer ($7.95, and was in the Wednesday menu) was healthy, guilt-free, and good. I loved the taste of the chargrilled calamari, and it being on a colorful fresh bed of lettuce was a nice touch. You could get the same thing fried. Margherita pizza ($8.95) was cheesy, super thin, nicely cooked and delicous. It came out as a good size, good for two people, but because the crust was super thin (which I can't really complain about since it tasted so good and it was really cheesy), one person could eat it all. PRO: Ambience, price, portions. Easily accessible via Brickell Metrorail Station and Metromover 10th Street Station. CON: Bad service. Refills are not free unless the drink was free to start with (aka water).

came here recently for lunch and i gotto say im surprised of the low ratings here on yelp. my last experience here was great. service was very very attentive and friendly. i got a corn chowder for starters. came out super fast and it was very very good. then i had a mozzarella and tomato panini. very simple but just what i wanted. came with a little bit of lettuce on the side... i added some balsamic vinegar, spicy olive oil and yum. my friend C had the seared tuna steak. she loved it so i was happy. i definitely like this place and should be back again for their weekend pasta specials!
(4)Elias G.
Came here for Friday lunch with coworkers. The places was packed and the service was pretty good. We ordered the focaccia as an appetizer (not on the menu). It's huge and freshly baked. I ordered the lasagna, which was a good portion at a good price. It was good, but I've definitely had better.
(3)Mike K.
Stopped by here for dinner with a group of friends on a weeknight. This place is a little small and was very busy during our visit although the atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. The food: I went for the seared tuna and the rest of the group decided on the chicken parmigiana and homemade lasagna. The seared tuna was very good and seared to perfection; the comments on the chicken parmigiana and lasagna were also very positive. My only negative comment would be the portions were a little small for the money spent. The Service: The service was very good considering how busy they were this evening; they came to check on us often making sure our drinks were full. We received the bill and 18% gratuity was automatically placed. This was well deserved but I typically don't like restaurants adding this in; if you are a pristine establishment you should have to subject your patrons to this. All and all this is really good food and I would come back to try some of the other entrées on the menu.

If I lived anywhere near here I'd definitely make sure to frequent Rosinella's. But alas, I'm much over a thousand miles away and will only be back once I find myself in South Florida again (only been to Florida about four times in my life so I'm not sure when this will be). Oh, and I found out that the owner is from Brooklyn not far from where I live. Anyhow, we started with caesar salad and calamari. Both were very tasty and it's surprising how often restaurants manage to mess up calamari. But not Rosinella's! I only wish that they had the little legs mixed in as well. For my main course I had shrimp and asparagus risotto..so so good. I tend to order risotto most times when seeing it on the menu, so while I may not be a connoisseur, I do think I can tell a good risotto from a bad one. ONE complaint: most of the servers can't speak English too well--not to say you can't understand them. The problem is that they may not be able to understand you unless you speak slowly.
(4)Alan R.
My draft review was actually harsher -- written while at the restaurant. I ordered Veal Milanese. What I received was breaded veal -- prepared as a schnitzel -- with some tomatoes on top. My wife asked for a side of macaroni (pasta) instead of potatoes. They would not do that. Cannot get a side dish of pasta. Very un-Italian. Cannot imagine going back with all the other great restaurants in the area. Oh, and a gratuity of 18% is automatically included!

The reason this is a great place to have as one of your neighborhood options is that the menu contains a variety of delicious items. Given that I'm one of those prone to order the same thing when I find something I like, the fact that I have trouble choosing what to order here is remarkable. The pizzas are yummy. The cheese is perfectly melted and the crust is appropriately doughy and crispy as South Florida pizzas aim to be. There is a different pasta every day, but I have found that I can order any pasta with any sauce that I crave EVEN if it is not on the menu. The spinach soup is great because it tastes great (even though it is spinach) and it is a potato based soup -- so no dairy! The wine list has a good selection of affordable italian wines. I love to come here to dine alone, order my spaghetti bolognese (even if it's not the pasta of the day) and order a bottle of chianti. When I'm done, I ask my server to cork up the bottle so I can finish the bottle througout the week. If you're going to have more than a glass, it is just more economical to order the bottle! I've also walked up to the bar, ordered dinner to go and had it packed up by the time I finished a single glass of wine. A great casual place to grab a quick satisfying solo dinner or to meet friends because there is something here for every taste.

What I like most about Rosinella is that they have a very flexible menu - if you look at their menu and nothing catches your attention, then you can basically invent your risotto or pasta dish, and they will make it for you as long as they have the ingredients. My favorite plates: soups, chicken parmiggiana, spaghetti carbonada. I do not recommend their desserts. They are nothing special. A great advantage is that they have free valet next door to the restaurant. Very few places offer free parking in Brickell. Overall, this is a great neighborhood restaurant, with good prices, great food and service.

Easy walking distance from home, we wanted to try somewhere new and cheap in the Brickell area. It's a lovely small restaurant with nice tables and a pretty brick interior. Most of the prices on this menu are weeknight friendly: many under $10, but most comfortably around $15. The menu itself is sparse as far as daily offerings including a few pizzas, paninis, and pastas. We went on Tuesday evening and there weren't any gnocchis on the daily special. A note - the 18% gratuity is built into the price of your meal; the service is pretty snappy but disinterested. Many of the staff stood around chatting as we ate, seemingly unbusy, but came to our assistance whenever we needed it. The appetizer bread was a plain white, not herbed. The oil served with it was red and... just okay, neither rich nor flavorful, except for grease. For dinner we shared penne arabiata, veal and beef lasagna. Good blend of flavors and reasonably priced; not the best pasta I've ever had but enjoyable. Tiramisu dessert was fine. It's good, it's the right price. Just. It's not somewhere to write home about.
(3)Young Farm R.
Excellent spinach ravioli, bread was stale, wine slightly overpriced. Would eat again but not go out of my way for it.
(3)Z H.
great place with free parking in back. recommend the pizza and black linguini with seafood pasta. agree its one of the best in brickell.
(4)Adriana E.
Been coming here for some time. Today I had lunch with a friend. I ordered pasta bolognese, and seriously you cant go wring with that. It was OK, I had better...I had better there before but nonetheless a good place to have lunch, the bread was "ehh". The service made up for everything...price is ok, overall..ehh ok.
(3)Corina B.
I must say I really enjoyed this spot. One of the best places to eat on Lincoln Rd. The Italian food is awesome. I ordered the lasagna, and man was it yummy! One of the best I've tasted. My hubby ordered the pizza with onions and peppers, and that was just as yummy! The service wasn't impressive. The waitress spoke very little English so it was hard to communicate. I asked for the bill, she brought me a to go box. I asked for a LONG island ice tea, and she brought me regular glass of ice tea. But other than that, the place is pretty cool.
(4)Jana C.
very cozy family vibe, friendly servers and a straight to the point menu with the classics. i once had their gnocchi, which was pretty good, and last night i had the spaghetti bolognese which i never order but this one was also pretty good. this a good spot for a quick dinner decision on the fly. no reservations no frills and tons of Brickell locals.
(3)Crystal R.
This is my first review and not b/c I am new to Yelp, but b/c I feel so strongly about this place. Rosinella used to be one of my favorite spots. All that began to change in July 2010 when I witnessed the manager on duty yell at an intoxicated, but quiet patron about paying his bill. Let me mention that the patron-in-question's friend was passed out in his chair. Both patrons were well-dressed and seemed financially capable to pay, but appeared to have had too much fun at the World Cup celebration. The patron asked the manager not to yell, while the manager continued to draw attention to the situation. The manager grabbed the patron by the collar and threw him against the street. The patron had a glass of wine in his hand that shattered when he his head against the sidewalk and a piece of glass cut into my friend's leg. The police arrived to clean things up while the manager locked the restaurant door b/c the patron wanted a fair fight. The patron ended up paying and leaving without filling charges against the manager. A majority of the full restaurant was upset with the manager's inappropriate actions. I never went back to Rosinella's again until today for lunch with friends, which proved to be a HUGE mistake. Upon being seated quickly (hence the one star rating), we waited 10 minutes until we spotted a waitress that looked to be ours to ask if we could put in our drink order and food order considering that we had enough time to mull over the menu. The order was for a pizza and pasta a la carbonara. Thirty minutes later a friend of ours joined us and our food was still not out. We asked about the food and were told by the waitress that the kitchen was slammed and that she had just checked. My newly joined friend, order a plain Caesar salad to be brought later. After 5 more minutes, a pizza comes out and so does a plate of ravioli, which I politely informed was not mine. Ten minutes go by and the waitress says that my pasta was taken by someone else and that it wasn't her fault. I am sorry but I disagree. I have worked for a restaurant management company for over 200 units and I know that if a waitress is doing her job correctly and efficiently, orders are rarely taken by someone else. If they are taken, a remedy should be supplied within 5 minutes, especially considering that the recipe for my dish takes 3 minutes of time! One hour after placing my order, I left without receiving my meal. My friends informed me that my drink and pasta were taken off the bill, but I find that solution to be too poor to give them credit for. I urge you all to try the new restaurant options in the Mary Brickell area, which offer better service and are more professional. It is surprising that Rosinella would not work harder to keep its patrons wanting to come back there considering all of the recent competition that arises daily. Luckily for me, I have other options (like the amazing La Locanda) and unfortunately for Rosinella, one negative review will be told over 20 times by word-of-mouth and incrementally by the thousands if one of its visitors happens to work for a prominent business journal. As they say, karma is a bitch.
(1)Cristina S.
This is a great little Italian restaurant in downtown. Very friendly and the food comes out fairly quickly. My favorite dishes are the Eggplant Parmesan appetizer and their Fettuccini Alfredo w/ shrimp. Good prices for nice sized plates.
(4)Kristin N.
I have been to Rosinella's a few times with my co-workers for lunch. I think it's just an amazing place. When you first see it, it looks like a little whole in the wall. Not that big inside, but very cute. The service is great, I have never had a problem, always on top of things. Now to the good parts, THE FOOD! The food here is sooooo good. Did I say GOOD, It's great. I love little Italian Restaurants. These are always the best places to go. The lobster ravioli is wonderful if you like ravioli. The pizza with prosciutto is delicious, any pasta you get here is great. They have different lunch menu's depending on the day. One day I had a seafood pasta, with claims, shrimp, crab, calamari, and it was very delicious. If you don't love pasta, they also have other entree's. They had these lamb chops that were to die for. They were so good that my boss at the time went and ordered another full meal, just so that we can all have a lamb chop. Not only is the food great, but the desert is just as good. They have this desert that is similar to a flan, but it's white, I can not remember what it's called but it was really good, their creme brule is one of the best I have tried. I definitely recommend you try this place out if you are in the Downtown Miami area. Especially if you are a big fan of Italian food like I am.
(5)Ivonne Marie C.
This is such a cute little italian restaurant. It's just south of Mary Brickell Village, and a little quieter, but still feels all the fun. The food is delicious, and the service is great. I've had ravioli and risotto there. My brother's had the lasagna, and my husband has had about every other dish you can imagine. I haven't been here in a while, but I remember liking it enough to want to go back. Hopefully I'll get a chance to go back soon and can write a more detailed update, and possibly even add a star. oh - a plus - all the times I've gone have been peak dinner times, and not once have we had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be seated.
(4)Julio E.
Service is horrible, the waitress doesn't speak English or Spanish, I was like wtf. Finally just ordered the black linguine with clams. The worst I ever had. Tasted rubbery, the clams, 5 tiny clams that were pitiful. After diner we ordered the panacota, it was alright nothing to write home about, then on top of that they charge 18% gratuity. The manager also needs to have a little more people skill with his patrons. I will definitely not be going there again.
(1)David S.
If you're looking for that Restaurant that you can go to once a week, relax and have great food, this is the one. The staff is very casual but very attentive. Rosinella is pretentious at nothing, they just serve up great food at reasonable prices without much fanfare. This is more of a "third date" kind of place and even more so, the place that you can go to with a bunch of friends that you're not trying to impress except with the world's best Neopolitan Pizza al Proscuitto. Eat, drink, laugh, and feel at Home that's what us regulars do at Rosinella. One tip regarding their Wine selection.............rather than go for the House Wine, trade up a little, you'll be much happier and again, the Pizza al Proscuitto is nothing short of addicting. I should know as I've been going there at least 3 times every month for this Pizza over the last 5 years. Maybe that explains my gutt! Thanks Rosinella!
(5)Lanie R.
I love Italian food. I used to live in the Camden building, right above Rosinella, so I used to come here at least once a week. Boy was I disappointed this time! The food was as good as it always is. We ordered grilled calamari salad, eggplant parmigiana, and Gorgonzola pizza. There were NO left overs. Now the service. Let's start from the beginning. We attempted to sit outside. We had a rare breezy weekend and I wanted to savor every second of it and our server was great up to now. The menu's started slapping us on the face and condiments flying off the tables giving us no choice but to retreat inside. This is where it all went wrong. Like a Jenga tower I could see everything fall apart slowly. The waitress was distant and unfocused, rude and seemed bothered to attend us. We had to get our own Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on our food. We asked for our waters to be refilled and they never were. She just stood by the window looking outside. I recommend this restaurant because the food is consistently good and I would eat from here or from their other location on Lincoln Road. BUT if you do dine in I urge you to be aggressive and demanding. There is no reason anyone should have bad service especially in an Establishment that is very good!
(3)Frank R.
It is not only great as a neighborhood restaurant, but if I lived in the Gables or Grove, we would come here...you don't have to say al dente when you order the pasta because they cook it just like in Big Italy, perfect every time. Can't beat the simple pasta pomadoro or the the pasta vongole, it's like being in Trastavere. The soups and the grilled calamari salad are very good. The food and wine prices are certainly reasonable, especially for Mary Brickell village. This restaurant is consistently good: very good food, wonderful and friendly service and FREE parking where every other place charges $10-$15 for valet parking. We live in the neighborhood and have been coming here 1-2 times a month since 2004. Jackie & Frank, Miamians and New Yorkers.

Everyone raves about the pizza at Rosinella, but I found it to be pretty common and nothing special. It was actually a little bit too greasy for my taste. If there is one pizza that stands out above the rest, it would be the bleu cheese pizza. That's definitely worth mentioning. The others were nothing too special. The pepperoni was too greasy. I used to come here for comfort Italian food a long time ago, but either my tastes have changed or Rosinella has changed because I'm not a big fan anymore. I'd prefer to go to Perricones which is a couple of blocks up Miami avenue. The service is pretty good at Rosinella, however. They're very helpful selecting beers and wines to accompany the tastes of your meal. The atmosphere is nice and quiet.

2 locations, this one on the edge of mary brickell village daily menu specials inexpensive italian, quite popular a comfort food type of place tried the fusilli with chicken, peppers, olive oil pasta didn't taste home-made but was ok. prosciutto panini with mozzarella and tomato was pretty good. red pepper olive oil - subtle heat

This will be my first review on Yelp. If I would have signed up for an account long ago then I would certainly have hundreds of check ins to Rosinella. From now on, I will do my best to remind myself to check in. Rosinella's food is great! I think they have amazing Italian food!!! My favorite? Penne Alfredo! I could never have it anywhere else ever again! I've dragged all my friends and family to this place and now they are regulars. However, I do not give them 5 stars because their service is not that great. The servers are not polite and do not know how to speak to their guests. The night manager ( tan with glasses ) is rude and knows nothing on running a business. He's been very rude to guests during my presence; inclusively telling one to lower their voice or he would kick them out. The only good server there is the Italian woman about to hit 40. Cooks are amazingly fast!!! Free Valet is a perk, right? The valet guys are sweethearts!
(4)Cat F.
No big deal, not impressed! Has a great reputation, but I wasn't too WOW'd. Ordered black bean shrimp pasta...Mine was good. Hubby ordered fettuccini alfredo-that wasn't on the menu for a reason bc he wasn't happy at all! He didn't even eat half of the plate. Bread was not good and antipasto app was very Oscar myer like. Sorry Rosinella's you've been bumped off the italian restaurant rotation!

I went here a couple nights ago with a group of girlfriends. The ambiance is nothing special but the food was very good for the price. I had a basic salad to start which was good. For my entree I had the daily special Ravioli which was porcini stuffed in a cream sauce with peas. It was very very good! It was a bit heavy but thats to be expected with a ravioli in cream sauce =) My girlfriends all agreed that mine was the best dish but they all liked theirs also. One girl had the veal which was enormous, definitely great for leftovers. The wine prices were very reasonable! The whole bill for 4 of us include a bottle of wine was $150 which i think is good for Tuesday. Parking is always annoying in Brickell but thats to be expected.

Superb food! Perfectly fresh and gourmet food. The quality and consistency is excellent. I am a very frequent customer. One of my most favorite restaurants. I particularly love the green and black linguini :) TWO THUMBS UP!

For the price i wasn't impressed, location is on the crappy end of the street across from an empty lot. The food was so-so good not excellent slightly bland for italian. The service was very good even with 4 drunks.

3.5 stars. I come here and to the Lincoln Road location pretty often. This is a good casual neighborhood restaurant. I think their chicken parmesan is pretty outstanding. The pizzas are good too (nice thin crust and perfectly cheesy) and pastas are decent.

Rosinella's food is delicious and take advantage of the wines will eating. I wen with a couple of the guys after happy hour from Blue Martini and decided to fill our tummies up with some great tasting Italian food, we had the chicken pastas, and tons of vino!!!! we sat and really enjoyed ourselves. Our waitress was great..kudos to the chef. I hope this place never gets jaded.

By far my favorite Italian spot in Miami. Between the downtown and beach location, I have been visiting at least once a week for the last 10 years or so.

Good, fresh food, low prices, nice atmosphere, mediocre service. When the weather is cooler and breezy, the outdoor seating is a good choice (perfect for people watching). I ordered the porcini mushroom ravioli. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the cream sauce was fantastic. The portions were very small (but inexpensive compared to most Miami fare), so I would recommend ordering appetizers and salads to accompany your dinner. I was definitely still hungry after leaving. The waitress was not very attentive or friendly which normally wouldn't bother me but for the fact that an 18% gratuity was included. If it were a more upscale restaurant I could understand adding the gratuity, but I didn't think it was appropriate for this sort of establishment, especially considering the poor quality of service. I would try Rosinelli again because the quality of food is good, but I'd probably go for lunch, since the portions are so small.

Rosinella is the most unassuming restaurant that I have been to. Tucked away in downtown its easy to miss. First things first Rosinella has complementary parking which is very convenient. Secondly the ambiance has a very comfortable feel to it...goes very well with the comforting Italian food. I think the food is very good and they generally have some interesting vegetarian options. Like a home cooked meal the specials are extensive and more importantly change every day. I particularly like the eggplant parmigiana,...it really does melt in one's mouth. The pastas are generally very fresh also one cannot go wrong with the lamb chops. I would say that its a slightly expensive place given they add the tip as well....All in all a very comforting experience.
