Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

I would give this place zero stars if that were an option but I can't. I ordered through Seamless Web around 11 pm tonight and got a call AN HOUR LATER that they couldn't deliver my food. And a simple "sorry" from the person who called. No offer to make it up, no explanation other than "we were really busy". Of course by the time they called all my other food options were closed. So unprofessional. If you want your food to actually arrive, choose another place. I see they have less than three stars on here so now I know never to give them another shot.

I was very UNimpressed with the service (service with a frown is not the way to go through life), and under-impressed with the slice I had. Seemed a bit overpriced for the size, and definitely not fresh enough...even though I was one of the first there at lunchtime when I went. The only thing is, I WILL give them another chance, because, well...you know, who doesn't like Pizza. Also, they have outside seating, so it's awesome on a cool day.

As someone throughout the years who's gushed about pizza rustica to my visiting out of town friends, I can say I've become generally disappointed with the quality of each non miami beach location. The pizza rustica I fell in love with (the two on Washington and the one on Lincoln) are not the same as you'll find in brickell or downtown or fort laudedale and wherever else they've decided to franchise. In an attempt to make more money, they've diluted the brand and quality people were initially familiar with. It's a shame , because pizza rustica on the beach was virtually a Miami landmark for me and my friends and now it's lost some of that aura by getting too big too fast. The pizza in the downtown location isn't bad persey, but its not consistent and there is a clear divide between this and the beach locations. I still eat here occasionally and the staff (particularly the female staff) are extremely friendly and smiley. The staff are probably the best part because its rare you get friendly service and smiles in Miami.

The hubby and I love to eat at PR once or twice a month...the pizza is always great, and they're yummy without being too $$$, which can be a rarity in the "new" Miami. Consistently great food. The downtown location is within earshot of Ceviche 105, which is fun in itself.

  • Missus F.

Solid taste, consistent in quality. Being originally from the east coast, it is hard to get used to the square pizza thing - but their selection is terrified, and taste was yummy. The only complaint i have is the counter is too high and the space to order is way too small. Other than that I am a frequent visitor.

I'm staying in a local hotel, so I call to make a delivery order. First, the order taker was ridiculously terse and kept randomly yelling things in Spanish to people in the background as I tried to order. Second, they "didn't have" breadsticks nor chicken fritters when I ordered (two hours before close on a Sunday). Third, you're delivering to a hotel. Can you at least make sure the pizza is sliced?? We have no knives; we need the pizza to be cut! The pizza crust was soggy and just not cooked through sufficiently. I read all the reviews on yelp and expected something great, but it was pretty disappointing.

I have been a huge fan of this franchise for a long time; however, this location suffers from poor service and price gauging. The regular cheese pizza is listed at $3.00; however, you will be charged $4.95. The staff is also VERY uninviting and rude--in particular the cashiers. I live in the building so I do go to this location and the food is always decent and the hours are great. But there have been times where I've waited almost 5 minutes with nobody else in the store to get noticed which is very irritating. Their specialty pizzas (particularly after a late night out) make it worth it.

3.5 really, I am just excited they opened a location in the downtown area. My favorite slice is the spicy Italian, it has a nice kick of spice to it. We came yesterday afternoon picked up a slice and it was just as good as my favorite location on Washington. The space is very small, with a few tables outside, service is friendly. Is this great pizza? No but they usually make a consistently good slice and I enjoy the variety they have to please everyone. You want all veggies, they have it, you want pineapple or chicken on your pie, yep they have that as well. If your strolling through the downtown area why not stop in pick up a slice or two and enjoy sitting outside. Glad to have you. Parking is limited on street but if you live in the area it is much easier to just walk over. Welcome and see ya again.

Pizza Rustica is delicious...sometimes! Luckily I live very close so delivery is always quick, however their isn't much consistency with their food. Some days their pizza is the best pizza I've ever had, sometimes it's mediocre at best. None the less, when I receive one of the great pizzas, I'm one happy camper!

Horrible service. I ordered pizza and had to cancel since it took 2 hours and was still not delivered. I only live 1.5 miles away from the place! Do yourself a favor and order from a place that will actually bring the food you ordered.

I've had the pizza from the Lincoln Road location. That was very good. I ordered a desert pizza from this location & it hit the spot. I will be back for a slice of real pizza soon. Peace!

Can't say it's the best pizza i've had... but its damn good! And at 3AM... who freakin cares! Everytime I am in Miami I find a way to finagle my self a slice of their pie! definitely worth the 30 minute drunken walk from my hotel at 3am!!

Decided to order in some food to calm my appetite and found Pizza Rustica near my area. I have eaten at pizza Rustica a couple of times but never ordered in. The delivery was actually not too long, 30-45 minutes as promised. I was a bit hesitant from reading previous reviews of them being very late but thankfully had no issues. . For the pizza itself, I ordered an 18" Rustica pizza without the artichokes. The pizza was not bad but it was a bit salty. I probably won't order that particular pizza again from that location but might try out a different one IF in the near future I decide to order again from there.

I order delivery from the website all the time. I've tried almost all the flavors of their pizza. My favorites are the supreme and chicken puttanesca pizza. You can order half and half which is perfect for me. They use excellent materials for their toppings, and they don't skimp, which makes them stand out from the competition to me. Delivery is approximately what the website says it's going to be. The nutella pizza tastes pretty great. It could use more nutella though, some places it was spread a little thin.

It's been a long time since I had to drop the one star, but isn't there a saying that even bad pizza is still pizza? That's what I thought. So, even though I wasn't jazzed when I walked in, I took a gamble (and lost) because of my short lunch break and the fact that I was with co-workers who said, ehh, let's just go for it. I definitely think that the only way this place could get a good review if the fact that it's open late and most people are drunk when consuming this sad pizza. On three different slices from three different pizzas, there was hardly any tomato sauce. Two of our slices were so undercooked, that we could finish them, Me? Not finished pizza? It's unheard of people. I purchase $2 Totino's pizzas from Publix! Which are usually skimpy pizzas with no toppings, but hey, I'm not paying $6 for toppings, am I? My other problem is that since dieting, my co-workers and I don't even order pizza that often and this was supposed to be a real treat for a pizza lunch break. They were equally disappointed, sadly. Raul didn't even ride the pole on the Metromover on the way back to the office, he was so down. I have been to other PRs, but yes, usually drunk and late night. Sober? Stay away from this spot, until they can get it together. I feel bad for dropping the one star, because I usually am generous, but *Eek! Me thinks not.* is the only way I can describe my feelings for my lunch today.

This place has a great product. The staff they hire is atrocious. Distracted, unhappy, miserable. The chicken parm panini is the best thing. Delicious crispy bread and cheesy parm saucy goodness. The pizza is okay. It's open late and is easy to access.

The pizza is fresh if you order to go or delivery. I like how that have lots of toppings to choose from. Its literally right down the street from me, so luckily delivery is fast. Or i walk to pick up an order. I always order a personal size, never the ones sitting in the window. I dont care to pay extra for a bigger personal pizza size, but I want my pizza fresh, not sitting in a window all day. When I order fresh, I have had no complaints.

Negative Synergy ... That's where the whole is worth less than the sum of its parts... Sometimes, just sometimes, if you eat-in, you can get a decent pizza. After all they use great ingredients. But, you need to know how to put them all together. You need to have a feel and a sense of composition and preparation when putting a great pizza together. Like an artist. Ordered 3 pizzas the other night - one gluten-free. It took an hour to arrive (driver was lost), the dough was like cardboard and all three pizzas were covered with raw red onion (which none of us likes on our pizza). An a positive note- We complained and the owner took the charge off our credit card. Rated only ONE star, but the owner earned himself second star with his gesture. We will give him another chance sometime.

I may be the last person in the 305 to experience one of the Pizza Rusticas around town, but I cured that today. This location is located on the ground floor of the back (NE 3rd Ave) side of the 50 Biscayne condo tower. It's a tiny space, with no indoor seating. There are several tables outside on the sidewalk. WARNING: They are so wobbly that I half expected to spot a candid camera hidden around somewhere, ready to catch me with a lap full of pizza and soda. Looking at the menu, I guess that for Pizza Rustica fans it's all about the toppings. I wanted to taste what the underlying pizza was like, so I ordered a Margherita slice. The slice, as delivered, is the signature square shape, and of a modestly large size. If there was any basil, It was hidden. The crust was very thin, and very soft, without being delicate like an authentic Neapolitan pizza crust made with Italian 00 flour. I did detect some tomato sauce, although without much flavor. The "cheese" was almost totally flavorless! It really reminded me of the "pizza" that I've had at events in convention centers at events. You know, where you eat the godawful concession food because you can't take time to leave. Maybe one notch above that, so I'll give two stars. Maybe it's outstanding covered with toppings. The counter service was fine. Of the four pizzas I've had #DWNTWN in the past year, this one is at the bottom of the standings.

The margarita pizza was delicious! And the owner and employees were all very kind. We got the margarita in the 18'' and it was huge for just two people. We could only eat two slices. It's good for maybe three or four people. Delicious nonetheless
