I have been gluten free for almost 6 years for health reasons (celiac & autoimmune diseases) so I need to be REALLY careful about what/where I eat. To be truly safe I cook 99% of the time, and havent had 'real Chinese' food for almost 6 years....sometimes that gets old and sometime a girl just needs a day off! ;) Tonight was it....I was searching Yelp for gluten free chinese and Pei Wei came up....placed an order for pick up, GF sweet & sour chicken and shrimp, white rice sauce on side and spicy chicken and shrimp, w/vegs, brown rice, sauce on the side.....we weren't crazy about the spicy sauce or the main plain sweet & sour dish mix BUT...if you switch sauces...the main plain spicy chicken n shrimp with the sweet & sour dish.....SO very yummy!! And just so other gluten free eaters, the bit of coating on the chicken and shrimp is potato starch/flour, believe me, as soon as I opened the containers I was online checking it out to be safe! It was so good that....we had it again THE VERY NEXT NIGHT!!!! (Just to be clear, NOT leftovers!!) Lol And thanks to Evelyn(Aventura location), we were able to order the main dish we did like with the s/s sauce instead, on the side! Ordered online but then called too, got Evelyn on phone and she took care of us!! Thanks Evelyn!! It may sound funny to get so amped over 'fast food Chinese', but when you can't eat something, literally for years, and then you can, sometimes something that small can make your day a little happier. ;)

Lousy sushi!!!! The tuna roll was less than one half the width of my pinky finger!!!! I paid $6.99 for the spicy tuna roll. The picture on the menu shows a colorful full roll- and not reflective of what I was served!! The wasabi crunch roll was goopy with sauces- yuch The Vietnamese chicken wrap was pretty good. The other non sushi dishes I see look pretty tasty, too ... But I came for the sushi. It looks so very different in their menu picture. I would not come back for their sushi. The wanton soup I ordered came after I ate my meal. The broth tasted anything but fresh. It tasted like it came from a mix. The manager was working the line rather than managing her restaurant. She paid attention to nothing other than her cooking station. The men's room was in need of a good cleaning too!

Food was good and the service was good too. They were able to accommodate a special request for a dietary restriction.

Pei Wei is something brand new for us and I must say, we enjoyed it! It's not Sriacha House in that the flavor was not so intense but the quality was great and the clean venue was nice. We give it a thumbs up and will be back!

Let me start off by saying in general I love pei Wei. This location, not so much. I had gone there this evening for dinner and was not thrilled. The girl at the front who took my order was the highlight as she was very friendly. There was no silverware available. There also was no tea available and the beverage station area was dirty. The trash was coming out of the shoot. I always order the Mongolian beef. The rice was so sticky it was essentially one large clump that wouldn't separate. The beef was raw in sports and there was barely any sauce. There were only mushrooms, no green onions. Overall I was definitely disappointed in my visit to Pei Wei and probably wouldn't come back to this location ever again.

The only reason i chose one star is because there is no 0 option. The food here was totally cold. The service is non existent. It appears that the employees are completely overwhelmed and that they are either short staffed or people don't care. This location sucks. If you want cold salty stale food and no service this is your spot. We will not be back.

This is the Chipotle of asian food. Fresh ingredients, awesome portions, great service, & very affortable. Why even think about a fast food chain. Another hit!

Seems like every time I come , the service gets worse. This is my last time. No lines at PeiWei....lines out the.door 2 store front down at Chipotle

From the greeting to the convo with the manager about the WONDERFUL SERVICE... I will definitely come back here! My first time was GREAT! Fresh food. Clean. Friendly staff. I can't wait to go back for the Thai chicken lettuce wraps.

Food is good! Can be better done but since there's no Manager, it's not Always done as the last time! Service is terrible! Employees in a bad mood and not into helping at all! Today, since there's no command, the cook was screaming the orders and playing with the pans and fire, as the other employees were laughing and chatting among themselves. Could be better! Needs attention though! Pitty!

A ghetto place when it comes to Asian food. The spicy Tuna Roll here was extremely good, had a lot of order of it. Wasabi crunch roll was also good, the crunchy tempura flakes was really great. Not the taste of the wasabi that you're expecting but the taste was really great. The place was also good, I felt a good ambiance on this place. Nice place for good occasions.

Good food. Very busy though. Service is slow due to the high number of customers. Had the pork egg roll and Mongolian beef. Both were good. Price is fair for the food. Clean on the inside.

It's supposed yo be quick food freshly made but it can take a long time to get your order. It's hit or miss. We went on a Friday night and we ordered the mango California roll. It was goo but not outstanding. But it's just 5.99 for 8 pieces which is less than the supermarket. Then we shares a Dan Dan steak noodle bowl. I was concerned that it was spicy and the host told me they could make it mild and it almost had no flavor that I had to add some spicy sauce even though I don't eat spicy foods. It got better after that. We also tried the pork egg roll. It was less than average. After sharing these options with my husband, he was still hungry and he ordered a fried rice and it took more than 20 minutes to arrive. I don't know what happened because it was almost the same amount of people when we places the first order than when we ordered this. The fried rice was good. In summary a casual and inexpensive place to have a quick bite.

I felt I should write an update after my visit last night. The experience was above my expectations, because quite frankly, I had to lower my expectations based on previous experiences. This review is for my take-away order last night. I ordered online, and had pick up time at 9:25. When I arrived, I was greeted, my food was there waiting, I am picky when I order, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was all correct. I ordered Thai Lime and Chile (original) with Brown Rice (on the side), Extra Veg, Extra Shrimp, Protein Combo (Shrimp and Tofu). I asked for crushed peanuts on the side, and the counter girl was able to get them for me. The food tasted good. Normally I would save some of the dish, but I ate it all. It had really nice flavor, the quantity was right, and I actually enjoyed it. It is a new dish/flavor they had, which was spicy and citrusy. I was somewhat of a regular, ordering at least once a week, but gave it a break because of all the issues. What keeps me coming back is the food is good. I think they could be on the way up to 4 stars. I almost gave them 4 stars on this review, but the counter person did have a little attitude, like she didn't want to be there, so for that reason, Im still holding to 3 stars. 4 stars - food 3 stars - service If my next visit is good, I will give 4 stars.

Very small portions (mostly rice or noodles), big prices. For the same money I can go to PF Chang's and enjoy quality food, and quality service. Ok, PF Chang's is a little bit pricier but the portions are almost double. I will never eat at Pei Wei again. The service is not friendly either.

This place used to be fantastic but it seems management and workers have completely changed over the last few months. Food is just plain bad now. Chicken is dry and they try to make up for it by smothering things in sauce. Just don't go. Have chipotle or something else near by.

  • Breana B.

Cute place. I didn't know it was a fast food type of restaurant. You order at the front and then find a table and they bring your food to the table. I tried the sushi which was okay. The crab wontons were good and the lettuce wraps were okay. I guess it's a good place for a quick inexpensive bite.

I had this with family a couple days ago. Can't exactly remember all our orders, but we did get the thai dynamite, sweet & sour, and kung pao for sure. It was definitely tasty and filling, but all the dishes eventually started tasting the same--I think they use the same sauces or something. Oh well. It's americanized asian food. Better than Panda Express though.

I love pei wei. Owned by pf changs, but the "fast food" version. Very good food. I like the Mongolian shrimp. The sesame sauce is great too.

Think of everything that could go wrong with your meal. And pretend you're at Pei Wei. Oh wait, We're here already. Hot & spit soup - tasted like someone dropped the pepper shaker inside my cup Edamame - lacking salt and ice cold Pad Thai - probably the least flavor of any pad Thai. I've had better frozen dishes. Lo mein - they cooked it until it turned into mush. The worst I've had anywhere in America. Broccoli - hard as a rock, totally uncooked. Great interior design and atmosphere saved me from asking for 100% refund. We won't be back. And hopefully PF Changs shuts down this awful concept. Sorry for the negative review.

Went on Sunday afternoon. My gf is vegetarian and they put chicken and tofu in her pad Thai after we told them she was a vegger. Sent it back and it took thirty minutes to get it when it originally came in five minutes. My sushi was good but it's kind of hard to mess up spicy tuna. Everyone working there seemed pretty moronic I won't be back

My food was HORRIBLE! I ordered shrimp fried rice and the rice was under cooked. I was chewing on rocks!! i didn't order rocks in my meal. TERRIBLE!!! If you order take out. Make sure you eat a few spoons of your food to ensure it's cooked.

I have been in town for a week, and eaten here once at my mothers insistence. The caramel chicken I ordered took 30 minutes and my mothers dish came out in 10. I didn't think anything of the fact that they weren't at all busy, I should have. She wanted to return several days later, and instead of waiting 30 minutes on a mediocre chicken dish, I decided to get chipotle instead, which is right next door. When I returned with my burrito to eat with my mother, the Pei Wei manager, "Eric" told me I couldn't bring other restaurants food into Pei Wei and eat even though she is a paying customer. After tweeting about the incident to the corporate team and getting no response, I am forced to reach one conclusion. PF Pei Wei's is a dud, with rude management and a lifeless corporate juggernaught at the helm. Your certain to be just another order number at this place.

Went in for a quick and simple take out order. I asked for the Kung pao chicken with noodles which is already spicy and my friend ordered it as well but specified no peas and extra extra spicy. We sat at the high top chairs waiting on our food watching the whole cooking process. I noticed in that batch the cook was making, he threw in a huge bowl of crushed chili pepper. I assumed it was for my friend, however I was horribly wrong. The cook then proceeded to pour majority of the chicken into one to go container and the remaining little scraps into the second container. Both had peas when we specified NO peas in one and they both were extremely spicy. Ultimately both our orders were terribly wrong and when I told them that, they said "no, that one is the extra spicy". They did not remake the food.

I really wish I could recommend the Aventura location. But, it's not a place that I would send a friend to. Because this is the closest Pei Wei location to my neighborhood, I've eaten here numerous times. Each dining experience has resulted in about the same level of disappointment. But, because I really, really, really WANT for this Pei Wei to be a place that I can count on for a quick meal, I keep giving it another chance. However, after my most recent visit, they're officially out of chances. And that's a shame. In contrast, the Pei Wei in Ft. Lauderdale on Federal Highway always is a decent option for a quick, 'one step above fast food' Asian meal. That location has friendly counter staff, your order comes out quickly, the dining room is clean - all of the basic stuff that you're supposed to be able to expect. The Aventura location...??? Not so much. It's really hit and miss. And, sadly, I've experienced way more 'misses' than 'hits.' During my last visit, the cashier taking orders actually was very pleasant and welcoming. No problems there. However, the staff in the open kitchen seemed to be really confused and/or honked-off the whole time I was in the dining room. Their loud bickering and arguing with each other could be heard all through the place. For my meal, I ordered a basic chicken pad Thai and it took almost 30 minutes to arrive at my table. Granted, I was there during 'the dinner hour,' so I wasn't expecting my order to appear in 2 minutes. But a half an hour is totally unacceptable for a 'quick service' establishment. I could have gone down the street to the regular P.F. Chang's and received a pad Thai in just about the same amount of time. Not to mention that orders for guests who arrived AFTER me were being delivered BEFORE my single order of chicken pad Thai. Very disappointing. And the dining room was not well maintained at all. In addition to cleaning food off of my own table, I also cleaned up the cutlery/drink station, as it seemed that no one on staff had paid any attention to it for quite some time. Now, I didn't have to do that. I know. But, the responsible adult in me can't encounter a problem like that and simply walk away from it. And, frankly, I shouldn't have had to encounter something like that in the first place. Totally unacceptable. Also, a couple of soft drinks had been spilled on the dining room floor, which happens happens at all quick service restaurants, of course. But it looked as if the spills simply had been marked with 'wet floor' cones and left to dry into a big, sticky mess, rather than being mopped-up properly. Granted, Pei Wei isn't the Ritz Carlton. I totally get it. But all restaurants - regardless of price point - can be held to the same basic standard of service and cleanliness. In fact, restaurants are actually required by local health departments to maintain basic levels of cleanliness throughout the entire building. Accordingly, here's something worth thinking about any time you dine out. Consider: At any restaurant, the dining room is an area that all of the customers can see. If the areas that you CAN see are a mess, then what do you think the odds are that the areas that you CAN'T see also are a mess...??? Definitely unsettling to think about. I really wish I could say that the Pei Wei location in Aventura is a great place to stop in for a quick bite. But, I can't say that. It's neither great nor quick. What a shame.

Love the food at pei Wei but this location was horrible on service! It was not super crowded , ordered 2 side items that took 30 min and a few min after I took it to go and ate it, was not even hot! Need some work on your customer service instead of your staff screwing around!

  • Sarah R.

Maybe my expectations were too high but having eaten at pei Wei before I was highly disappointed. The brown rice was not cooked all the way. The steak was overcooked. The crab Rangoon was fantastic thou! The staff was very friendly. No bags incase you had leftovers. No plastic forks incase you took it to go. Will still eat at a pei Wei jusy not this one.

Faster than PF Changs - not as impressive. The semi-fast food/little brother version of PF Changs Pei Wei offers up some good grub, fairly fast, in a nice, casual atmosphere. I have had a couple of the plates: Mongolian Steak - Not as good as the original, but this version of it is a lot faster to arrive to your table. The meat isn't the same. I would have to say this meat is a bit tougher. The sauce is almost identical and it is served with white or brown rice. NEW Curry Coconut Chicken - I fell in love with this dish from the first time I had it at a Thai place. This one is lackluster, but it's new so maybe they make tweaks to it. A little watery in the sauce department. Lettuce Wraps - Great! Crisp fresh lettuce, comparable filling to that of big brother. Egg Rolls - super greasy, not too tasty. Then, the highlight.....they have those crazy coke machines with 102849247 flavor combos. Grape Fanta? Yes please! Want some Cherry Coke? No problem. Vanilla Grape Orange Ice Tea? Knock yourself out. I LOVE these machines.

The only reason it gets two stars is because the food is actually good. I love pei wei but this is the worst managed store that exists. It's as if they have the philosophy that all their customers want to wait 30 minutes to order and another 30 minutes to get their food.

  • Michelle C.

I ordered the Carmel Chicken Small plate, it was perfect a bit spicy, filling, not to sweet. The dining room was busy, got a table, but there was a line for beverage machine was out of drinks. It took 30 min to get my food. It was nice and fresh when I got it and I really enjoyed. Service was awesome.

They claim to serve chinese food that is sort of PF Chang. I would say it is very far from PF Chang standards. They have very very small portions (way smaller than in the Mall's Food Court) and lots of rice. My teryaki chicken (small size) consisted of big bowl full of rice, little sauce and 4 tiny chicken pieces (yes, just 4!) The other dish - coconut curry with vegetables - was little bigger but the sauce was very thick and yucky. I will not return.

First time here and honestly it's really good for the price. I had a spicy tuna roll and a chop salad all for $10. The sushi was very good but the salad wasn't, it was just plain bland lettuce with shredded breast. But what can you ask for $6. However the sushi made the whole meal.

just went to the new location in boca raton since i have never been to this place--yes it is the chipotle of asian food- very tasty they dont charge extra for brown rice and when i got a combo of shrimp and steak they surely didnt skimp on the portion!! for 10 bucks got 2 meals outta this:))

We had to walk out and ask for a refund. The soup was room temperature, I bet you the rolls were in the fridge for at least 1 day, I know because i make them all the time and I can tell when they are not fresh. AVOID! AVOID!

  • Chris J.

Service is extremely slow and it took us quite some time before we were able to sit down. This was due to the fact that all of the booths were dirty and there was no one to clean them. With a chain as big as this one, you'd think they would have a bus boy. The food is good but not worth the wait.

Came here to eat and service was good ended up ordering the Japanese chicken rice bowl. Food came out a lot of rice was in the bowl but they seemed to go cheap on put the chicken spinach and all the extra good stuff. But overall decent place to eat and get full.

Horrible service. I stood in line for 10 minutes with only two people in front of me. As soon as I got to the register a women walks up to the front of the line and asks for her to go order. The cashier stops me in mid sentence and starts helping the other lady. There was a problem, so the cashier ignored me and helped the other women for 9 minutes. After 9 minutes she started taking the other women's order and when I asked her to help me as I was next in line and she ignored me. I left the restaurant without ordering. I called the manager, Jamie, and she was not helpful and frankly made the situation worse. Don't go here unless you want to be treated poorly.

Tasty food and a reasonable price, but clean up ur damn restaurant! Always dirty tables.. always soda/water on the floor.. bathroom sink is broken.. garbage can falling out of the wall in the bathroom. For a chain/corporate spot I'd expect way more interest in tidiness. Some dishes are better than others. Often times they are oversauced, overly sweet and gloopy. For what it is, it ain't bad tho. Eat here on the regular. Curry is solid.. Stay away from sweet saucy chicken dishes.. Lettuce wraps are bomb. Funny thing is PF Changs is a few blocks away and usually not ever packed. U can go there and get a wider variety of food in a super clean establishment, for the same price.

  • Wayne L.

I haven't received my food yet but the initial interaction is unsatisfying. The cashier is clearly preoccupied with something else on her mind and takes your order, hands you back your card and drinks cups while looking in other directions. Half of the fountain drinks are empty and the soap in the men's restroom is empty. There's A LOT of room for improvement so far.

    (2)
  • Justin C.

Food was passable. Person taking the orders screwed one up and the restaurant wouldn't make it right. Server was rude. Manager was doubly rude. Food took too long to get to the table and did not come together. I like the Pei Wei chain but this one in particular is bad and should be avoided.

  • Daniel E.

Stay away from this place! It is run terribly, the management does not care about the patrons or providing any kind of customer service. The staff seems very un-knowledgable, especially the cashier that assisted me today, took him a good 5 minutes to input a simple order. I heard that management changed recently in the past year and it has really affected this once great location. My meal ended up taking 20 minutes to get to me, keep in mind there were only 5 other patrons in the entire restaurant. I was not able to eat my food because I was on my lunch break. Im calling corporate right now to try and get compensation for my "meal". Stay away! You have been warned.

Honestly waited forever for the to-go food- seriously ridiculous n not worth the time or effort- no respect for service, other places near worth the effort. Clueless staff w no empathy for ones schedule n the concept of to-go

I'm a huge fan of the flavors at Pei Wei. They really know how Chinese food should taste. I've tried a lot of Chinese restaurants but none of them have been able to perfect the flavors. Pei Wei's mongolian beef is the best one out there. My only complain is the size of the plates. I don't know if it's me but I feel that the plates are a little bit small. or maybe I just eat a lot... don't get me started when I go to pick up food. They look even smaller. The service there is good and there's always a manger around to help you with any of your needs. Even though the cashiers could be a little impolite sometimes.

  • Evangelia K.

This place is surprisingly good! I'm sure nothing on the menu is authentic but I'm clueless on Asian food - especially Thai - so I wouldn't know the difference. I tasted the chicken lettuce wraps, mongolian beef, pad thai, chicken with rice and a shrimp dish. Everything was really tasty, especially the lettuce wraps. Drawback is the insane wait to get your food. I guess thats a good sign that the food is fresh, but I'd definitely suggest coming early.

Used to work here so from an employee point of view, I think we do a great job considering we're getting paid a lot less than we deserve due to a restricted budget (no raises allowed for the last yr) and from the feedback I heard during the meetings, we do want to give our guests the best dining experience our restaurant has to offer. We're just forced to work with what we've got. While I was there we were always running out of necessities, short staffed and forced new hires to work like they've been there for years (hence all the mistakes in the serving and cooking dept). When Corporate loosens the grip, I'm sure Pei Wei will be given more stars.

If you took Chiptole and sent it to the Far East you would have it's asian cousin Pei Wei. Ok, I am a Asian Food snob, but for the price. You get pretty decent food, especially the pad thai. The meat dishes are alright, but really not a chinatown portion. Tip: The soda machine has about 8 millions combinations for soda. Cherry Rasberry Lime Caffeine Free Diet Coke anyone?

  • Gina H.

While I really REALLY want to love this place and would have loved to have added it to my lunchtime circuit, Pei Wei just doesn't rock my boat. The restaurant itself is lovely but the food is just too American Asian and not exciting at all and really folks, when it all boils down to it, the food is what is going to bring me back. I will suffer hole in the wall places with no air-conditioning but which serves authentic food a million times before I give Pei Wei another chance. I'm talking salt here folks. We ate lunch at about 12:30p.m. and at approximately 3p.m. I felt like my tongue was shriveling into beef jerky. Last time I ate here I had the same experience except I had eaten the entire portion of my food (and they do give you a lot of food) and had to reach for the blood pressure medication. Today I requested if they could not add any salt and was told they don't add extra salt to their food. My partner in food snobbery crime Michael J. agreed with me. I tasted a piece of his chicken (he wouldn't reciprocate, tofu obviously doesn't turn him on) and while it was supposed to be Dynamite, it was not so much spicy as salty. I ate half and boxed the rest of my lunch. The veggies were awesome though, super crispy. What did I eat? Tofu & Vegetables both times. The first was Spicy Korean, the second visit today was Green Coconut Curry. I do however love the Jetson's soda dispensing machine, where big kids like Michael J. can mix their sodas and declare them delicious (it wasn't Michael, it was gross in a cup).

Best coke machine ever. It's this high tech electronic looking thing, with a digital screen where you can select from a bunch of different coke products. Then, the coke tastes great too, nice carbonation. Oh yeah, the food is good too. Great, actually. It is basically P F Chang slimmed down. Things are quicker, and taste better to go. (As much I love Chang's crispy honey shrimp, it DOES NOT DO WELL to go.) And the portions are huge, so think share, and then you can get more appetizers, like those springs rolls, or the crab things. YUMMO!

  • Terra S.

I came here for lunch last week because a friend of mine had been raving about it. My food was ready by the time I visited the awesome soda machine and made it back to my seat. I was shocked at how fast it was ready and thought it wouldn't be hot or fresh but it was both hot and fresh. They also have a selection of both booths and tables for seating. Two thumbs up

Pei Wei is better than P.F. Chang's. Yea, I said it! Even though they're the same company, Pei Wei is faster, fresher and way cheaper! Bonus: This particular location has fun touch-screen soda machines in the back. You can order several dishes with tofu + vegetables instead of meat so it's very vegetarian friendly. I especially like the spring rolls, the lo mein and the pad thai. And I always leave a bit more enlightened thanks to the bowls of free fortune cookies in the back. "Be careful. Bees with honey in their mouths have stings in their tails [in bed]." Wise words, oh crunchy one.

  • Elana M.

My family has unanimously decided that we are done with Pei Wei. Tonight we ordered takeout. I placed the order online, which is such a breeze. Sadly when we got home we realized that our springrolls were missing. With some of the dishes, I had requested no rice. The portion that is served without the rice or noodles is teeny. The kids meals included hardly any protein. It was just overcooked mushy noodles with sauce. It doesn't make sense for me to take out from here when I can drive a few miles more to King Palace for some serious Chinese grub.

So bad I had to write directly to corporate for this one. Highlights: 2 out of 3 entrees were wrong and the order was taken by the manager herself! AFter we told her and she fixed them, gave us $ back (she also charged us too much) she put our order to the END of the line! SOOOOO, 40 minutes later.... yea, smoke was coming out of my nose as I saw every order go by me. BTW, she gave me wheat noodles instead of Rice, I told corporate they were lucky I noticed or they would be paying a hospital bill! So be careful GF people. Oh, I forgot to tell corp about this, when we finally got the Teriyaki bowl and Lo Mein, there was so much oil and sauce, thought it was soup. THEN there was the obstacle course to the restrooms. Food, drinks on the floor, got to the area and there were the signs, "ME" and "WOM". Isn't this a fairly new location? OPEN the door and omgsh, there was a party in there and no one invited me. What a mess! I walked back out. Strangest thing was I have never seen so many staff members in a Pei Wei, in the kitchen and leaning on the other side of the counter. Which tells me it is about poor management. So, next time, it's Chipoltes next door.

I had high hopes but I wasn't pleased after visiting this restaurant. There are many things that made going here a terrible experience. The first thing was the service: The staff was rude, they were chatting between each other and forgot to replace the napkins and forks. Second, was the food: The food didn't taste terrible but it wasn't outstanding either... But what really disappointed me was the was the size of the servings; they were incredibly small. Third, was that one of the soda machines was broken and the other one only served around 1/2 of the available drinks. All around I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this restaurant since for me it was an awful experience. I'm extremely disappointed.

I started going to this restaurant months ago. At first it was great. Great service and friendly staff. Lately things have changed the food gets served cold or one person gets served way before the other. Portions have gotten smaller. So I started going to pei wei at miami lakes.

My family and I where shopping and having a good time until we made the wrong decision to go to this place for dinner. We sat down an next to our table there was a very upset couple that told us that they had been waiting for there food for over 35 mints.. Wow... Guess what, same thing happened to us, in fact we never ate! Yes we were waiting for over 40 mints for our food and decided to get our money back and go somewhere else, then we heard that it was a mad house that place because there was a new manager and she had no clue of what she was doing.... Never ever again.

I come here once or twice a month for take-out. The reason I come here is I can order and pay online and pick it up at the time stated on the website. Unfortunately the food is hit-or miss; sometimes dry and usually overcooked. The Lo Mein most of the time seems to be so overcooked that doesn't even taste like pasta, and is like chewing mush. This is my child's favorite plate and there are times she won't even touch it. When you show up at their pickup door there is only one line and I have NEVER EVER had anyone behind the counter look up and say "I'll be right with you!" you are completely ignored until you get your turn in line; they have 3 cash registers meant for Dine-in guests and take out guests and they typically only have 1 register running with an average of 3-4 employees behind the counter doing other things except for helping customers in line. The company is owned by PF Chang's and although Chang's is a little more expensive sometimes I just make the extra drive down the street to order from them instead of this place.

I went there for dinner as a first timer and was extremely disappointed. Horrible service the place was dirty, sticky floors every table was dirty and the food was tasteless seems like they don't even cook it its frozen and refried...I got the kung pao chicken and it was not spicy just tasted like a lot of peanut oil and very dry...for $31 I'd expect way better food service and atmosphere.

The food was not good at all. The place was not clean. There was food on the tables, the floors were sticky and wet. This is not what u want if ur looking for good Chinese food.

Worst experience I've had at the normally consistent chain. Indifferent staff standing nearby watching while a single employee took orders from a line of seven waiting parties. Order arrived served with brown rice that was so dried up, it was barely edible. I ate the little bit that absorbed the meager remnants of sauce from the entrée. Rest went to waste. For the bulk of the 30 minutes I spent at the restaurant, the four young children of a party that arrived shortly after I did, repeatedly ran up and back the length of the restaurant, yelling back and forth to each other and their parents from the drink dispensers (that serve as video games) and giving the place the ambiance of a Farrell's ice cream parlor (not good)! Unfortunate that the apparent lack of any management will keep me away from a former place comfort.

I really don't understand what all the hype with this place is. I've had much better Asian food at regular hole-in-the-wall Chinese spots. Nicely decorated, and honestly a nice place to sit down, but the food is really just... not there. I ordered the 'Thai Dynamite', which was advertised as 'spicy'. Well, it wasn't 'spicy', at all. It was just crispy (too crispy) chicken with so much salt that I was dehydrated within seconds. The noodles, on the other hand, were so bland that I couldn't seem to put enough salt on them. For anyone looking for some good Chinese, stick to your traditional Ma and Pa joints. This place is horrible.

I am not a huge fan of the P.F. Chang's chain, but I think the food at this progeny to be better. Nice concept and generally fast. And I like that the place is not afraid to have spicier dishes. Be prepared for confusion as the food comes out as ready so guests seated after you may get dishes before you and you may get your dish well before your dining companion. Soda machine with its touch screen and very contemporary design is neat.

Greasy, greasy, greasy everything. Fortunately, it was not old grease. The egg rolls were, literally, dripping with grease. The beef in my husband's dish was superb and we both loved the brown rice option. My kong pow was too greasy to eat. Sorry. Never again.

Wow what can I say other then I must have ordered the wrong items... First the Thai Wonton Soup tasted like watered down dishwater. Then I ordered the chicken green Curry... I expect it not to be spicy but not totally tasteless . the chicken and vegetables clearly were not made in the sauce... Even the people I was with, that do not like spicy food or curry thought the dish was totally tasteless!

I've been to this Pei Wei about 4 times and everything there is straight up FUEGO; I can't get enough and especially with the inexpensive prices, makes for the perfect dine-in or take-out experience. I will list some of my favorite dishes in a minute, but everything about this place makes it a hit; ample parking, no waiters (only runners), quick, tasty and inexpensive! You walk up to the first available register, place your order, serve yourself a drink and wait for the runner to bring out your food. This place is owned by P.F. Chang, so while you might experience similar flavor, the quality of the meat isn't the same as your Mongolian Beef at PFC, yet still delicious. I suggest taking a friend or 2 with you in order to take advantage of all the different ingredients (Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, Vegetable and Tofu). If in the mood for appetizers go for the Lettuce Wraps, Edamame or either of the Rolls. The Sesame, Mandarin Kung Pao, Mongolian, Ginger Brocolli, Thai Dynamite and the Pei Wei Spicy are all amazing, and it all depends on what you're in the mood for that evening as far as spicy, mild sweet, etc. Try a chicken dish, a beef dish and a shrimp dish is what I always do and I'm constantly switching it up. I am yet to try the noodles, soups or the salads, but then again ill be going back soon enough; and keep in mind if you don't have that person to take with you in order to try several plates, hit me up... I'm always game for Pei Wei.

I don't understand the praise of this place..? The food is VERY average, and defiantly tastes frozen. I have been here a few times and given it multiple chances, but it just doesn't do it for me. It got two stars instead of one for the true star of the establishment, the soda machine.

For those of you that are not already familiar with Pei Wei, they are a quicker service oriented P.F. Changs. Although I've tried their "identical" Mongolian Beef at another location, today I tried their Vietnamese Chicken Salad wraps. These 3 wraps were very fresh and adequately abundant with veggies and sprouts but lacking in chicken. The accompanying peanut sauce and spicy sweet and sour sauces are a great compliment and highly recommended. Their chocolate chip cookie on the otherhand, should be avoided at all costs. It's greasy, flat -both in taste and depth of flavor, and in all honesty, makes cookie crisp cereal seam gourmet. The service is pay and order 1st, you're given a number, seated, and served (no tipping). The staff was very friendly and the service was very, very quick. So, if your looking for a quick "Asian" lunch option while in Aventura, give this place a try. Just don't be surprised with the P.F. Changs similarities.

Not bad, not great. As others have said, usually salty and over sauced. Service is good. Mongolian beef is good, but can be chewy at times. Caramel chicken is pretty good. I didn't like their lettuce wraps...

Whyyyyyy is the Mongolian Beef at this Pei Wei's always burnt :(

Stay away. This place is a cheap knock off just like a Louis Vouitton handbag from China. Bought 2 meals pad Thai and caramel chicken for my mom. She took a few bites of her food and immediately started to throw up. Brown rice was dry, way too much sugar in food. Took about 30 mins for order to be ready. The place needs more staff to clean the front dining area. Employees looked confused.

I was looking forward to having a faster version of PF Changs, but was disappoint greatly by the food. Atmosphere is very nice and the service was good. Ordered the honey chicken and it was like eating a cheap Asian frozen dinner. Disappointing.

Dawm, I walked into this place, made my way up to the register, was greeted by a cute girl, and mispronounced "Ramen". Total epic failure. The good news is that after she corrected me, and made me look like I needed to return to grade school, me and my friend sat down and enjoyed the quality this time around. The Japanese Ramen Noodles with beef --- off the chain. For now, if I'm not in the mood for Chipotle, this will be my spot. Oh yeah, and the beverage machine looks like a Japanese slot machine. So, if you're not good with pressing buttons (at least not as bad as mispronouncing 'Ramen'), just ask one of their friendly employees to help you out.

This Pei Wei is the most wonderful place on earth. The space is fairly large, and it needs to be as it is almost always packed with people. They also have two Coke Freestyle machines, which are so much fun even for someone like me who doesn't drink soda! I'll always go for their scrumptious Mandarin Orange iced tea, but it's fun to play with the buttons and all the options on the Freestyle. If you haven't seen one of these machines yet, go visit this Pei Wei as only some of them have the Freestyle. Of the others I've visited, Pembroke Pines, Beracasa in Boca, and Congress in Boynton still have regular soda machines. The service here is stellar and they always make the food perfectly...crispy veggies, fresh proteins, and generous portions of sauce deliciousness (some of the others I've visited sometimes skimp on sauce and I have to ask for extra - no charge, but still). My absolute favorite thing on the menu is the orange peel dish; I have it with vegetables and tofu. It's especially spectacular with the broccoli, as the sauce seeps into the little trees and grabs on for the ride to my mouth. It's so flavorful it makes my taste buds sing :-) The vegetable spring rolls are delicious too, with a yummy sweet chili dipping sauce and tons of shredded veggies in a thin crispy shell. Perfect. I've had many other dishes there, from the pad thai to the honey seared to the Thai dynamite, and while they're all good, nothing compares to the mildly spicy flavor explosion that is the orange peel. Yes...I think I'm in love.

A beautiful decor inside. The big question is ? Is this a fast food restaurant or a "take out Asian" At PF Chang, I get to sit down, read the menu over a glass of water and decide what I would like and pay after my meal is over. Not here.. You stand in a line while each customer is told what is on the menu by a loverly receptionist which takes about 2-3 minutes. Each customer looks more and more dumb-founded by the selections. Then they have to pay in advance and wait at any table they choose with a given number so your food server who has no chance of getting a tip brings your over spicy food. This poor guy who is working for low wages is a bus boy. I don't get the concept.

This particular location has bland food. I placed an order online, gave it 30 mins for it to be ready as suggested on the site. When I went there the clowns in the kitchen didn't even cook everything I ordered so I had to wait another 20 mins. I contacted the company to let them know about my experience and they didn't have the dignity to write back. S***y food, s***ier service, but other than that it's a winner, i'd give it a minus 1 star if I could.

visited for first time the aventura location-- nice food- caramel chicken delicious, service ok- (but it was mid afternoon, so not busy) I hear sometimes a bit hectic. Green curry chicken ok-- reasonable priced and a good addition to the sparse quick dinner choices in aventura

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
