This review is for my lunch experience here! My Mother In Law told me about this wonderful little place and told me it was wonderful. She was definitely not wrong! Walked in for lunch, and saw a worrying sight. The place was completely empty. By the end of my meal, I felt sad that it was so empty because the food was excellent! I hope it gets more crowded for dinner...more people should know about this place! If you want an inexpensive, filling lunch...This is the place for you! They have pastas and sandwiches available with salad, drink, and sides included. Nothing is more than 10 bucks. I had the penne primavera, which is a cozy delicious dish that's loaded with veggies and topped with a delightfully light cream sauce. Tasted so homemade, it was awesome! Also, their bread is soooooo good, you could almost come here for lunch and just have that! Service was excellent...I really have zero complaints about this place, and am excited to go back for dinner!

We have passed this restaurant several times..finally decided to take a chance. Four diners; restaurant was only half full for early (6pm) dinner. We waited by the front desk and watch three servers in the back of the restaurant look at us and walk away....it was an interesting first impression. Finally a fourth person emerged from kitchen and seated us. He was gracious and kind, but I don't think he realized that we waited for a minute too long to be acknowledged. Menus in hand..nice, warm, crusty bread on table...we began to place our orders...then I asked are there any specials? The server remembered the special at this point and shared. So on our table, we had fettuccine Alfredo, mahi-mahi, meat lasagna, and chicken fingers. The fettuccine Alfredo and accompanying pasta for a mahi mahi had that microwave zapped gleam. The meat lasagna was edible but under seasoned. We expected a nice thick, high, square layered lasagna...this is not that. We are forever optimistic...searching for the one thing that will bring us back! Dessert - let's share the cheesecake. Unfortunately after describing the cheesecake to us; the server reported that they were out of cheesecake. The other desserts (other than tiramisu) described were pre-prepared with Nutella. Nut allergies at the table. Let's just get the bill and end this dining experience. Signs say under new management - I can only hope for improvements.

Since the new ownership, Carlos and Team are making amazing food! Come for breakfast the choices are very tasty and the price is comparable to any place in this area, try the French Toast believe me you haven't tried anything like this. Great service, nice atmosphere and yummy food!!

I was not impressed at all with this "restaurant." The food was just substandard and the service was just average. Linens dirty, etc. Nothing special. I ordered the Truffle Parpadella Di Manzo (flagship dish) which sounded pretty great, but when it came out it didn't look very appetizing, but I was starving so I ate ask much as I could. The taste was bland so I had to add in some salt and pepper. The pasta was cooked al dente which was just fine with me but the filet mignon was just so-so (you can tell that the quality of the beef was not the best). Overall flavor just plain for being their "flagship" dish. I think our server came over once to make sure we were doing okay and then he also brought us refills which was nice. He dropped off the check, we paid, and we walked out. In Miami there are so many other great and inexpensive ITALIAN restaurants to eat at hence be careful with all of these previously posted (4 star) reviews as they don't seem to be legit! This is NOT a place that I would revisit.

From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed as if you're family by the owners and their professional staff. The atmosphere is intimate and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is even cleaner than mine at home! The menu is quite extensive. Everything we've tried has been great. Our favorite is the Truffle Parpadella Di Manzo. It is to die for! When you return, and you will be back for more, they will probably remember you - and will only allow you to eat the same dish twice, as they insist that everyone try many different items on the menu. The prices are extremely reasonable. We highly recommend PDG for any birthday or other celebration. My surprise birthday party was held there, and it was perfect! Faby, the owner, handled all the details and it couldn't have been done any better. To sum it all up, it is the best food in town, served by the nicest people, at fair prices. You won't be disappointed!

Nice little place. The food is ok. The only thing is that the kitchen was loud talking and music.

Immediately when you walk in you know this is a family owned business. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The menu has many options to choose from. The service is timely and courteous. The appetizers were fresh and delicious. Dinner took a little longer than expected but tasted fresh and was quite good. Overall this definitely was a wise choice and we would recommend it.

Let me start by saying we were a party of 10 on a Sunday night. I made a reservation on Open Table at 5:30 for 7. We arrive at 7, nobody is at the front desk.. we wait.. 7:05, they tell us our table isn't ready and we get some excuse about Open Table not notifying them until right before we had arrived - this has never happened to me. We get seated and I can't see a single server in sight. A guy, who looks like the chef and who people keep calling "tio" comes to our table and is extremely friendly. He is really funny and gets us all drinks. We finally place an order and 8:00pm, no food. We'd gotten our single polenta appetizer, which was pretty good but it had been sitting out because the cheese was hard and not melted and it was slightly room temperature. Also, for $12.95, the appetizer was extremely overpriced! Being a table of 10, we got to try a lot of things off their menu. The standouts were: Pasta Primavera (delicious and rich sauce) Salmone pasta (salmon very nicely cooked, not dry at all. Pasta al dente) Shrimp Scampi (relatively nice sized shrimp, great sauce, good deal) The issues were: Chicken Siciliana - $19.95?? Very overpriced for what we got Mussels - Sauce was decadent! Absolutely amazing.. why can't you use fresh mussels?? When I saw the frozen mussels I was very disappointed Overall: Some food is really good and the dishes don't seem to be uniformly priced across the menu. I don't think this place is bad but they definitely have some kinks to work out. They were overwhelmed and it showed. Oh, it was also very loud. They have no sound absorption.. no rugs, no napkins (they were paper) I will give it another try in a few weeks to see if it has gotten better.

Ordered delivery and this time it was a bit of a hit or miss. I have ordered the gnocchi in vodka sauce and mushroom risotto before and they were both outstanding. This time I ordered the veggie lasagna and mushroom risotto to share between two people. The lasagna was delicious and the vegetables were cooked very well but there was no bechamel sauce on top as the menu states. Still very tasty but it is solely a marinara sauce. The risotto was a bit of a failure this time as it tasted as though the rice had been burned. Previously it was topped with Parmesan, peas, and was creamy as a risotto should be. This instance it was dry and impossible to get past the burned rice taste. The homemade compound butter and bread were incredible. I will still order from this place as I am sure they were busy, and this was a small fluke.

A very enjoyable experience. Expect a neighborhood Italian eatery. My wife had a well prepared Salmon with fresh vegetables and potatoes. I had Veal Saltambuca (excuse the spelling) not overly drowned in wine sauce which let the meats and cheese flavor the meal. We'll be back.

I went to this restaurant based on a recommendation by a coworker. Pasta Del Giorno is located next to TJ Maxx which is located north of The Falls. This is a small intimate restaurant. The service is very good and the food is very good. The owner comes around all the tables and verifies that everyone is happy. My wife and I had the following: Bruschetta (Excellent, had real Parmigiana cheese), Lentil Soup (Very Good), Chicken Parmigiana(Good), Penne alla Primavera (Very Good). I recommend this restaurant especially to people that want to taste authentic Italian food.

I am so happy I found this jewel! Absolutely love the food, the ambiance, Tio, and the owners, Faby and Ariel. It's a great, wonderful family oriented restaurant that you may very well call it home. It's cozy like that. The pasta is to die for; I had tortellini with pear and gorgonzola and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Truffle Parpadella di Manzo and oh boy was I hooked! He had to share it with me ;) The meat is so tender and soft, it's like butter; and the pasta is perfectly cooked. Can't wait to return to have the dish all for myself! Now I know where to go to for my monthly italian fix!

All I can say is that my wife and I enjoyed a terrific meal at Pasta Del Giorno today. Everything we ate was top notch and the staff was very attentive and courteous. This was our first time dining here and decided to try it based upon the positive reviews from other Yelpers. The interior of the restaurant is pleasant to the eye and the background music is at the perfect level. After being seated our waiter brought us our menus and quickly brought us glasses of cold water. Once we ordered he brought us a basket of freshly baked italian bread with some herbed butter on the side. Next came a crisp side salad with a very tasty salad dressing. For my main course I had chosen chicken cacciatore, which is one of my favorite dishes. I was presented with a portion of sliced chicken breast mixed in with an extremely large portion of spaghetti in a cacciatore sauce consisting of sauteed onions, mushrooms, and peppers that I can honestly say was the best I have ever eaten. My wife had the fiocchi di gorgonzola which are small purse shaped tortellini stuffed with pieces of pear and gorgonzola cheese, topped with a cream sauce and walnuts. She absolutely loved it. We finished off the meal splitting a slice of torta della nona, a most delicious take on apple pie with a drizzled caramel sauce. It was as fresh as can be. My wife also enjoyed a wonderful cappucino along with her dessert. Our waiter Michael was very courteous and polite throughout our meal and really did a great job. I can't say enough about what a great meal we had and look forward to returning many times in the future.

Hurray!!! Finally an authentic Italian restaurant comes to the Falls area. Every dish we had was delicious. We had the mussels and calamari as appetizers and both were some of the best we have had. The mussels were large plump and tender in a wonderful red sauce. The calamari was cooked to perfection. The bread we found out from Tony our very attentive waiter is made on site and is also some of the best we have had. The wine was very reasonably priced and very good. All in all it was a great meal and cant wait to return. The owners Ariel and Fabriana "Fabby" stopped by our table to chat and make sure we were satisfied. We were. Great food and friendly owners are a winning combination.

Sautéed calamari appetizer is worth a visit by itself! The sauce is rich with tomatoes, olives, and capers. It is served with toasted bread to sop it all up. Carbonara was good. Pizza was ok, wish the crust thinner, but maybe we can request that next time. Eggplant parm was fresh. Happy to have this place in our neighborhood! Staff is very friendly.

Great food, friendly staff but the music was a little too loud. Would of enjoyed it a little more if we could hear eachother while talking! Overall great experience and definitely going back.

i have to say, with much precipitation, we decided to go here for my birthday (not sayin' which one!!) and it was surprisingly good. my brother is a pain when it comes to food because he only eats about 10 different things, my sister is a veg, and we like a place with decent wine. i liked the menu right off, called for a reservation and the guy was so friendly and amiable. we arrived, seated promptly, the place is cute, and the wine menu was just fine. we ordered a malbec and it was smooth and delicous. my sister and i ordered pasta cacciatore and split it. it was quite delicious. my brother is a meatball freak and said they were very good. my husband's fish was done very nicely, the tilapia was nutty sweet and the sauce nice and savory. all in all, we enjoyed ourselves and will go back. i personally like promoting family owned places rather than the usual corporate restaurants popping up everywhere. hopefully, it's not the typical miami restaurant that starts out good and ends so mediocre and then closes. boo hoo.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
