Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Magnifico! On the spur of the moment I brought my mom here becuase she had a craving for Lasagna, and was not disappointed. The ambiance of Pappa's is that of a neighborhood Italian restaurant, and it does it well. From the Dino songs (that's Dean Martin to you youngn's) to the pictures of the Rat Pack in their heyday. Quote from Mom, "That was a great Pasta Fagiole". Thanks for helping make Mother's Day a hit!

I love the thin crust pizza. I've had the pasta here also before and it is good to. I would recommend this place.
(5)Jennifer Q.
One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Miami! Forget Olive Garden, Papa Ricco's makes fresh, delicious authentic Italian food and always serves it with a smile.
(5)Jay F.
The service here is good. They take care of the customer. The pizza is good, homemade sauce, good crust. Prices are reasonable and they do other italian very well. Definitely a good place to take the family for dinner.

I've been coming to this place since I was in high school 1997. With the sports photos and Italian music in the background you can't beat it. There's 3 big screens to watch a game or whatever you may fancy. Garlic rolls are superb and the calzones are a must. Chicken Parmesan reminds me of the old country the way it's made. Service is excellent and prices are decent. Not the cheapest but not expensive either. I can't complain.
(5)Nikki P.
Ordered take out. Wasn't even told the total amt. they charged me double. The garlic rolls were mediocre at best. I wouldn't rec this place. Edit in response to your response: We did say to sub the marinara for pink sauce. Why would we need a tub of pink sauce? And as far as delivery goes, no one said there was a minimum. Besides, we were less than 500 feet away. Your reply to the review makes it worse honestly. If only I could give 0 stars. 'Best wishes'

We did not like the pizza at all...

I grew up(1977-1984) down the road from Papa Ricco's and it was the only pizza my family would eat . Whenever I am in town ( I live in CT where there is award winning pizza) It is the only place I go to get pizza. The pasta is not the greatest but the pizza is still A-1

I cant believe i have been living in the palmetto bay and even been to that same shopping mall and never paid attention to this place. Food is good ( delicious) and free of bad oils and preserves i cound sense it while eating a tasteful spaguetti carbonara. Girls were nice and very polite. From now on i am going to come to this place more often for sure. Erick

Been here once before.. But until last night I didn't realize what I've been missing... We live just a few block away from here.. The PHILLY CHEESE Steak is AWESOME... It's really good.. Nice waitresses.. And obviously the cook is good to.. Come try it out.. Nice neighborhood restaurant..
(5)Carrie E.
Actually I only wanted chicken Frances and fettuccini Alfredo. I didn't know that 1 dish equaled every dish on the menu as you stated in your review to me. If you go to DiNapoli, Ferraris, La Nonna and other small Italian restaurants they serve the dish of your choice with the pasta of your choice. You are making it sound like I wanted to create a new whole menu for me. Furthermore as an owner you should aim to please your customers not charge an additional $7.00 for Alfredo. So no you didn't do everything to please me. You should revise your post.

AMAZING!!! The food and service was outstanding. From the salad, to the pizza, to the pasta, it's delicious. The atmosphere is warm and comforting. Its has a kid friendly atmosphere too. LOVE IT!
(5)Jackie S.
Like it don't love it. Why? Service is awesome Garlic bread is delicious, I ate two baskets Pizza looks really good, haven't tried yet $5 Chianti wine generously poured Why not? Tiny, cramped seating Overcooked bland pasta Verdict: I will return but next time I'm sticking with the basics, pizza & rolls

This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for years. Not only is the Italian food good but I think they have the best pizza in south Miami. I drive 40 minutes from my house just to get a good pizza!
(5)Dr. Tobias Funkè M.
Best italian place in Miami! My family and I eat here all the time. They have amazing garlic bread, the closest to New York pizza you can get, and their pasta dishes are to die for, especially the chicken francaise! We love Papa Ricco's!
(5)Adam R.
From an out of towner's perspective... The pizza was very good, but the service was less than average. Our waitress couldn't remember who ordered what drink after about 30 seconds (there were two of us). We were surprised at how small the restaurant was, definately made for carry out. No complaints about the food, we just expected a little more effort from our waitress.
(3)Matthew A.
Great pizza and always hot when they deliver.
(4)Abigail P.
It's an vintage Italian restaurant hidden in the corner of a shopping center. The food is very rich in flavor. The ingredients are fresh, colorful, and tasty. I was very upset when I had reached my limit to eat. I honestly can say that it's a place to definitely back to. There was just 2 servers and they handled the place extremely well. The staff was very helpful, sweet, and reliable. The brushetta had thick cut tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Very tasty! My roasted chicken paper pasta was extremely delicious and filling. The portions are very generous as well. You can tell how fresh it is and extremely well put together. Overall great little Italian place that's worth a try.
(4)Lucy D.
I am not sure why my husband and I ordered pizza from this restaurant again. I was not impressed the first time we ate from here and we were disappointed once again. I don't remember exactly what went wrong last time but this time around the pizza was undercooked and a bit too greasy. The pizza was also small for a medium and pricey for the quality. Not sure if I will be eating here again.
(3)Ari W.
I love the garlic bread and the cheese pizza. The pizza is New York style which is hard to find in my area. I also recommend the salads and the chicken wings. Service has always been good and we always get seated right away. It's priced very reasonably.
