Was on vacation with a bunch of my friends a month or so ago & were all craving some Filipino breakfast but not being from around here, didn't realize the pickings were slim in Florida. Came across this wonderful gem of a restaurant where the owner was super friendly and accommodated our request for some garlic rice for 10 even though it was well past breakfast time. The food was amazing! And I had such an awesome experience here that I even made a Yelp account just to share about it! Thank you for making our trip to Florida that much better! Will definitely visit again when I'm in town. :)

I'm very impressed! I had the palabok which is rice noodles with fried minced pork in shrimp sauce, dressed in hard boiled eggs and scallions. This strange-sounding dish was a quick highlight of my day since it tasted absolutely lovely with a squeeze of lime over it. I would definitely order it again and even seek out the dish in other Filipino restaurants! Now, as for the place, it's in a warehouse that serves as a strip mall in an area full of auto body shops. And the entrance is hidden behind two large propane canisters, for some reason. And upon entering, the place looks small but the narrow hall opens up further in the back where food is made with love behind the oriental market. They have a lot of prepared foods ready to be served, but they also have a sparse breakfast and regular dining menu filled with plates made from scratch. And one of the plates is this palabok. I ordered a lumpia as well, which is a standard Filipino egg roll, and while it wasn't anything special (already prepared), it was thicker than what I'm used to seeing. For $1.50, it was a fair price and my entire meal was $6.25 with the palabok. Do come and enjoy the made-from-scratch Filipino items and the friendly service the women provides. And as for the market, they have a lot of variety of items and it looks organized and well priced as well - probably a great addition for Asians living in the area. But it's the Filipino food that I would come for. (I also saw that the long strips of pan-fried fish and sancit minced pork in special seasoning were popular.)

Josie is the best Restaraunt owner I've ever met she's so friendly and provided the best Filipino food I've ever had period. If your looking or craving Filipino food in Miami then this is the place to go.

Not very appealing from the outside because it's in a warehouse district but one of the best spots to satisfy your cravings for authentic homemade Filipino food! You will not be disappointed.

Great daily selections of my favorite Filipino Foods! Freshly cooked by Lola! They also have a market filled with goodies from the Philippines if you're into cooking it up yourself! The Casava Cake keeps me coming back!

LOVE!!! I missed Filipino food so bad and I finally found the only one in Miami!! It is a small location, the food is located in the back. I wish they had more chairs but it's ok the food is fantastic! I can't wait to go back! They had the typical Filipino cuisine, very yummy.

My hubby and I were around the area craving for some Filipino food so we tried this place. Although there weren't a lot of menu items when we went (wed), the customer service was great. We met the owner & she was really friendly. She told us that we should go back on the weekends because its busier so they serve more food. I love the idea of paying all at once after eating & picking up items from their mini market. Regarding their food, it was only average. We would probably go back on weekends and whenever we also need to buy something from their mini-market.

The owner and her sister are the best! Authentic Filipino cook foods! although when we went there there's only few cook food left but worth it. There's also space for you to eat. Owner in friendly and accommodating answering all your questions as she can ;-) There's a lot of goodies so after you eat you can grab what you need and pay everything. They also have goldilocks products which is A+ !. WIll be coming back in these place if we visit Miami again.

Just real authentic Filipino food, the way we eat it at home or at a family gathering. If you're not familiar to Filipino cuisine, you may need to develop an "acquired' taste for some dishes here. This is a little grocery store-small restaurant and they serve food cafeteria-style from heated metal pans. However, there are some dishes that can be made to order such as sisig, silogs, and halo-halo. If you're not familiar with Filipino food, you can't go wrong with the lumpia, calderetta, and adobo. The staff is awesome and welcoming. This is also a small grocery store, so you can find the basic necessities to cook your own Filipino dishes at home. And you can also find Filipino snacks and frozen foods here. Four stars especially since its the ONLY place I know of in Miami that serves Filipino food.

Pampanguena has yummy Filipino food. The have a market and then they have prepared food in the back. I don't know what anything is, but I just point and taste. :) The staff is friendly and fun. They always remember me when I go and know I need help! They give me tips on how to cook things and what to mix together. The have yummy treats there too. Check the frozen/refrigerated section. They have these little cakes with sprinkles of cheese on top....yummy!!! It's awesome to go there on the weekend, the place is buzzing with activity. I see lots of my nurse buddies there when I go. They tell me what I have to eat! :) *Lumpia and Shanghai....my favorite!!!

We were so happy to find a Filipino restaurant in Miami! We had Lumpia, Pancit, and Adobo and all were delicious!! All very traditional and full of flavor! Staff was very friendly, came to the table and talked to us for a bit. We will be back on a regular basis for sure!!

Pampanguena is a little Asian grocery store with that also serves Filipino food. They offer a variety of dishes such as sinigang na baboy, dinuguan, adobo, etc. Their Filipino food has the best flavors in South Florida. I've been to a lot of Filipino restaurants and most lack that authentic Lola-made-this-dish taste. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
