Best lasagna ever!!! Great place and great people. The place isn't fancy, but it's all about the food.

I've been to this restaurant before back in 2005, and again in 2015, and the decor has not changed. Not a good 2nd impression. But decor never bothered me anyway as long as the food is good. Decided to try it the second time around after my 2005 encounter because I remembered it to be delicious. Walked in on a rainy Friday and was seated right away. Started off with a Bruschetta. I don't think the waitress heard us correctly or perhaps we were ignorant with what we were ordering but when it came out, we had a pizza with tomatoes on it. I was confused and my husband was well. Usually bruschetta is a few pieces of bread with oil, tomatoes and other good stuff. But we received a full blown pizza. That's strange. Never had bruschetta like that before. For our entree, I order the Baked Ziti and my husband the Fettuccine. They were just eh! Nothing spectacular. I've had better, and he felt the same too. We skipped dessert because of our huge bruschetta "pizza" and opted to just get the check and go home. With all the great Italian places in the area, probably won't come back.

WHAT. HAPPENED. I'm still shocked at what Nunzio's has become. My family and I (and many many many other families) have been coming here for ages! So imagine the confusion I felt when I walked in on a Thursday during dinner time to find a completely empty restaurant. Very weird.... We tried ordering soup, but they were out of every type of soup. We then ordered the godfather (meat lovers) pizza, to soon be informed that there is NO pepperoni and NO sausage. What?! Ok, dessert time: but shocker, they're all out of every type of dessert! We got the very last zuppeta out of pure luck. The food, by the way, was pretty bland and far from special, which it used to be. It seems (assumption) there have been some ownership/management changes. It truly truly truly saddens me to see Nunzio's the way it has become. What once was a favorite to sooo many in Miami has very quickly gone downhill. An extra star because our server was super sweet.

This place never ceases to disappoint. I have lived less than 5 minutes from this restaurant for over 10 years, and I have given it multiple opportunities to gain my business, but it has always failed. In the past it was the subpar food. This time I figured I would give it another shot... who knows, they might have improved the cooking. Well I had no shot of finding out because we were told the wait for 2 was 20 minutes and we ended up walking out after 45 minutes. Here's a hint, if your wait is actually 45 minutes, don't lie to get more tables turned. It results in a loss of cliente that will NEVER give you another shot.

Wow guys I was a regular about 10 years back and like all things it has changed but I am sorry to report not for the good service was ok our server was a young lady expecting a baby girl and to be honest she was the only positive side of my dinner the food is not bad but the whole ambiance is terribly off the people helping my server were terrible

Genuine Italian family owned restaurant. Inviting environment family oriented and romantic. This is a hidden gem! Best Italian food outside of Italy! We will be back!!

The owner Robert is back and the restaurant is back being a 5 star place! Food and service is top of the line. Don't walk back, run!

This place was a short walk from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. Mom and Pop place and Pop was our waiter. We received excellent service and the food was delicious. We had Baked Ziti and Cantellini. The food was good. Salads were delicious and the bread was good and hot. I wish we lived closer. We would eat here often.

Always a pleasure having dinner at Nunzios. Great "home cooking" at a reasonable price.

When you walk into Nunzio's you get a sense that its probably owned by an old husband and wife couple that has been running it their entire lives. It's a cozy restaurant in a nondescript shopping center. Honestly, if I had to describe my experience at Nunzio's it would be that -- nondescript. The first thing I noticed is that the place smelled awesome. Think bread, garlic, etc. We stood around for a while because we weren't sure if it seat yourself or wait for a hostess but finally a server told us to find a table. A server came soon after with two menus and asked us what we wanted to drink. She wasn't the most friendly server I've ever encountered but I also wouldn't call her rude. She was cordial. She took our wine and appetizer order (garlic cheese bread). It was hard to figure out what I wanted for dinner because nothing really "stood out" for me. It was again, nondescript. In the end I settled on the meat lasagna. Our appetizer arrived right on time, as did the salad for my meal. The bread again was good but I couldn't help but think that I could (and do!) make this at home. I felt the same way about my meat lasagna. I don't know if it's Italian food (which I wouldn't say it's my favorite but I can appreciate) or just this place. I think I would come here again if I were in the area and wanted some pasta. PS: when you pay, on the left hand side of the register is a really dusty corner I wrote "hi" on, if its still there the next time I visit, I'm going to be mildly horrified!

Three stars.. and I will tell you why. Time and time again, I would go by this restaurant (over the years) and it was always during their "closed" hours. It became so frustrating to me, that I FINALLY jotted down their hours, and caught it at the "right time" for once. Kinda my fault, but still..... frustrating schedule for those of us who eat late late lunch or earlier than usual lunch. Food: Showed and ended up ordering take out as there was a huge party (15-20 people table) and they were being too loud for my taste. We ordered two meals, portions weren't as big as we expected for pasta dishes (tortellini was one of them, don't recall the other). Usually, for the price and it being pasta and all, there is more food, not in this case. I don't eat a lot, but I usually choose one dish to share with my toddler... tortellini was not big enough for that. There were two things that did put a smile on my face: 1- the service provided by person who took order. Very nice. Packed everything well, friendly, etc. 2-the dessert!!!!! I cannot recall the name now, but it was to die for. I don't know that I will ever be back, in a "I planned to come" manner. But if I am ever in the shopping center (I shop there a lot) I might just see if they are open and grab a bite, as long as I am not very very hungry and can do with smaller portion meal.

After a decade, I'm officially breaking up with Nunzios...we will not be returning. Too many little things add up...hostess is totally blah and clueless on providing estimated wait time. We were told 20 minutes for a party of 5 and waited 45. We arrive at the table and were barely greeted by the grumpiest waiter...served flat sodas...had to wait for them to find cans...not a pleasant start. A drink refill was never offered. This restaurant is dated, which we can accept but the lack of cleanliness is not acceptable, regardless of how good the food is. This place needs a complete overhaul, starting with the staff. Goodbye Nunzios.

My boyfriend and I needed a break from your typical Olive Garden, yet still wanted some pasta. Decided on this place for it's nice reviews and near our neighborhood. Food..was so tasty! The menu is small and straight to the point. Go here if you want traditional dishes. I had the meat tortellini and my boyfriend the veal, both had good favor and sauce. Oh and the cheese and bread...mama mia! Note: for dessert either go for the cappuccino or actual dessert, do not do both because you'll end up with a sugar rush. We got to speak with the owner of the restaurant and he is such a nice guy. Showed me all the pictures around the restaurant and told me who were in them (very big family!). My only downside, we had such a small table we had to place things on the side. Also, food came out at once. But other than that, food was delicious! Will go back to try the pizza!

A small family restaurant with authentic cuisine. The Trancheti con Spinaci was really good and the lasagna special is amazing! They make Alfredo Nunzio with muchrooms and proscuito, which also is excellent. The food did not disapoint at this unassuming hole in the wall. The wait staff was not as enthuiastic as I would have like so I took a star off, although they were not rude either. The hostess was really pleasent and welcoming though. The food was home cooked, fresh, fairly fast to arrive and cooked to perfection. I will be visting this restaurant again in the future.

This restaurant is ok. I've gone here mostly because its convenient or it's been someone else's choice. I have tried the chicken Parmesan , pizza, their lasagna, fettuccini Alfredo and their cheese bread. The cheese bread is what I have liked most .... Which isn't really what should be my favorite from their menu. Chicken parm pizza & lasagna are ok.... Nothing memorable about them. I thought the fettuccini was extremely bland, no taste at all... Not even putting lots of Parmesan cheese helped. It was one of the worst I have had. Not crazy about their customer service. They take long even though sometimes it's been kinda empty & they are not very friendly.... Not rude, but not welcoming either. Actually I felt quite unwelcomed, more like a nuisance and I didn't even have any special requests! Leaving me no reason to wish to come back. I think I am done trying this place out.

I've tried almost everything on their menu and love it all. My favorite entree is the veal parmesan, however the best dish would have to be the Zupetta.

I have been going to this restaurant for years and it is just amazing. As soon as you get there and you see Ana's huge smile (the hostess), you smell the food, and enjoy the food and service you will know why this place has been open and serving the most amazing italian food in miami so many years. I really love their food!

Nunzio's is one of my favorites! My boyfriend & I visit at least 2-3 times a month. All the pasta dishes are authentic and the atmosphere with all the family pictures that cover the walls, make you feel at home. It does get pretty packed on friday & saturday nights, but just have some patience, it's worth it. My boyfriend loves the veal parmesan & my go-to plate is the spaghetti & meatballs; so delicious. The service is excellent; they do their best during the busy nights. It is a little pricey for the amount of food that it brings, but again, worth it. Give Nunzio's a try for some real authentic italian food!

My family and I have been coming here for 20+ years, so I felt compelled to give it a very much deserved good review. While the restaurant is small and at times noisy when busy, the staff is so friendly and attentive. Family owned, the food has consistently been homemade, fresh, and delicious over the years. For Italian-American fare in a relatively casual atmosphere, it doesn't disappoint. Their pizza, lasagna, seafood linguini, and of course the zupetta are my personal favorite dishes. They also make a killer bechamel sauce, should any of their daily specials feature it.

Well it took about 4 mins to be greeted at the door and the hostess addresses the family behind me. Wtf? Am I a ghost? Then get seated. Took about 20 mins before the hostess came back to me to ask if I've been helped. UH. NO! So told her what I wanted. After getting my bread. The person who was im assuming suppose to be my server comes up and asks if I've been helped. Couldn't gel but say the first thing on my mind. "Where the hell were you 20 mins ago?" My drink came after my food. Wtf? The salad is gross. The food is bland. It's like home economics grade Italian food. Chicken parm was over cooked. I had to hunt someone down to get my damn check. I was about ready to just walk right out. I bet they would have paid attention to me then! For those of you whom do not speak English... NO BUENO!

Originally family owned Italian restaurant for 31 years and counting. Nuncios has a great atmosphere, cozy, and the food is outstanding. When I come Nuncios it feels like family. I love this place.

The only thing that is decent is the pizza but the other food and service not so much. Then again there were some nice servers so I guess it's who you lucky with service wise but yeah the food still isn't anything great very bland, tasting like if it microwaved and pretty sure it was. Wouldn't come back

I love this place! Whenever I want real Italian food this is were I go. Been a faithful costumer for the last 3 years. I recommend everything on the menu especially the desserts! The environment is a loud one and tables are not that spread out from each other but I like that kind of setting, its cozy and lively.

Good restaurant. We went for dinner. Pros: the restaurant had plenty of parking in the shopping center. The pizza was good. Service was fast and pleasant. We had a great time. We even had the zuppetta, which other instagramers recommended. It was good. Not amazing but it was good. Cons: restaurant is alittle out dated. And I wish there was alittle more pepperoni on my pepperoni pizza. Others than that no complaints. Overall had a good experience.

Just left this old dump! We got there at 732pm ... It's 748 no service. I told the girl - Chinese one behind the delivery counter that we are leaving ... Since we got no service - she just said ok. Like we were wasting there time. Owner looked at us several times ... Hope your business shuts down for treat us like shit!

Nunzio's restaurant its still the best italian cuisine around. Me and my family have been going there for years. We are always pleased with the service and products. Recently they made a slight change on the peperonni they use on their pizza's but the owner will change back to Pavoni, the best brand out there. I will always recomend to anyone this great experience!

Been a fan for the past 15 years. If you're in search for authentic Italian food, Nunzio's hits the spot. My favorite entree is the baked ziti, an absolute cheese lover's dream of stringy cheese!!! My favorite dessert is the Supeta, paired with the perfect cappuccino in town-the best I've ever tasted (topped with chocolate chips). Nunzios closes for a month each summer so be on the look out during that time of the year.

Attention to everyone in Miami! Nunzios is still alive and kicking. Franco is still there and the food is home cooking in a family atmosphere. We as a family have eaten here for three generations. My father in law passed away last year from cancer and we always remember how he loved Nunzios. Nunzios you are the best and from my family to yours. Abrazo!! The Herrera family

The best authentic Italian food. The owner (Franco) is very friendly and family oriented. The food is like none I had before like mamas food. Don't come in a hurry, it's like when mama is cooking that it takes time but at the end is all worth it. I love it and will be patronizing this establishment at least once a week!!! Cháo!!

Ok so I'm not normally this harsh but when we walked in no one was there to greet us. once someone came to greet us they sat us with only one menu. there were two of us. a bus boy came and delivered two small waters and dirty glasses. I asked for lemon and he just walked away. my boyfriend and I have a rule that if no one comes to greet you after 5 minutes we will walk out of the restaurant. not only did no one come to greet us but at least five waiters walked by and give us a look. unfortunately none of them spoke to us or a short as that a waiter would be with us shortly. once we got up to leave no one was even concerned that we were leaving. the hostess just said goodbye. for being a very small place it was pretty well packed. but with service like this I will never go again. the place is packed don't even bother going in because no one will serve you. clearly the five waiters that they had on staff were not able to handle the 20 tables that are available most of which are two tops. pathetic.

Been going to Nunzio's for over a decade. Consistent quality, the best pizza in town, and the only place I can get my fix for Ricotta Cheesecake. Don't believe all the negative reviews, they're bitter and have probably only been there once. Reading them makes me think they reviewed the wrong restaurant.

We love this place, don't expect anything fancy but do expect great food. We always start with the lentil soup. Then comes the hard part choosing an entree :) you must try their gnocchi with bechamel sauce and chicken, the lasagna speciale, and their meat sauce spaghetti. FYI The meal comes with salad and bread. My wife cannot leave without having their dessert; Our favorite is the zupetta (think of a liquid chocolate chip cookie). Really you can't go wrong, their food is amazing. Ps. Fettuccine Alfredo and the lobster ravioli were the only ones we didn't care too much about.

This place may have been something special in the early 80's (decor is still from those days), but it is not as good now. I have moved out of the area and had not eaten here in a while. I recall this being the place to go when you wanted to eat Italian. I don't know if it's because I have lived in places that serve better Italian food or if the quality has deteriorated, but the food was bland and not tasty at all. The house wine was the stuff that comes in 2 gallons jugs and they charged a pretty hefty price for it. The only thing I can say that was pretty good was the dessert.

Great family run Italian food. Their bruschetta is delicious. Try their Sicilian pizza. It's like no pizza I've had. Meatballs are excellent. Great desserts and cafe is awesome. The owners are awesome.

I'm surprised at the number of negative reviews Nunzio's has recieved on this site. I've been going to Nunzio's for years and I have never been disappointed a single time. I mean, I don't know how authentic you can get when the restaurant is ran by an actual Italian family that returns to Italy every summer. I don't know, I guess some people have a perception of what they consider as "authentic Italian" cuisine and are willing to bash if it isn't stereotypical. But I digress. Walking into Nunzio's, you get that "home" feeling when you see all the pictures that adorn the restaurant as well as that big comfy couch in the entrance where you can sit at while you are wating to be taken to your table. Service has always been great with me. Quick, polite, and they do make excellent recommendations. I always get either the Fettuccine Alfredo Alla Nunzio, the Manicotti, or the stuffed shells. I always try to stray away from the usual stuff like spaghetti with meatballs and lasagna. Their Fettuccine Alla Nunzio is exquisite. Every time I've ordered it, the pasta is cooked wonderfully, the alfredo sauce is surprisingly not as heavy as most alfredo sauces, and then the pieces of ham and mushrooms tie thw whole plate together. Manicotti and Stuffed Shells are one of my favorite IItalian dishes ever. the Ricotta filling they use is delicious and both dishes are awesomely baked to perfection with their respective meat sauces. One thing I enjoy about Nunzio's is that the portions served are proper portions that don't leave you overstuffed, whish is important because you want to stay for dessert. When ordering a dessert at Nunzio's, you have to try the Zupetta. It's a completely original dessert. The owner's mother innovated the recipe and Nunzio's owner had to pay his own mother $15,000 for the recipe. It's a moist chocolate songe cake that is amazing as hell! Their Ricotta Cheesecake is another favorite of mine that always leaves me undecided to choose between that or the Zupetta. So if you're looking for REAL Italian cuisine, stop by Nunzio's. Enjoy some food, drink some wine, and have a good time. It's well worth the price.

So theres commercial italian places like olive garden & carrabas.. which are good but sometimes you want to do something different. Nunzios is a very small, family run restauarant. me and my family have been coming here for years! everything on the menu is very good and the service is great too. Do order the chicken parmigiana. very cheesy and yummy! Zabaglione for dessert :)

So this is our first time at this restaurant. Very cozy and family owned place which we always love and prefer. Food is good. We ordered fettuccine Alfredo with ham and mushroom and it was fine. Other thing we ordered was meatball sandwich it was overloaded with cheese which is great for cheese lovers but didn't work for us. Food quantity is good entrees come with salad and house bread. It's a good try. We will return again to taste the pizza. Pasta and sandwich hmmm may be;)

Why the hate people? I don't understand. I've been coming here for as long as I could remember and I love everything about this place. Let me describe it to you: You walk in and there's a million family photos on the wall and other little Italian portraits and whatnot. You can also find the framed newspaper article about Patrick Dempsey eating here!! UGH...so wish I was there that day!!! Crap, got sidetracked.....lol. Anyways, the decor is cute. The ambiance is nice too; very dimmed lights. Yes, there's sometimes a long wait but hello, isn't that everywhere in Miami? If there's a lot of people, what does that mean? It's freaking good! These people are REAL ITALIANOS. They close the restaurant one month per year to go visit Italy. The restaurant is ran by the grand mama, the son, and I believe even their grandsons already. Their customer service is awesome. Everyone always knows me when I walk in. Our one regular server (older gentleman) can come off rude sometimes but it's just because I know he's slammed which is fine. Here's what I always get: Garlic rolls (extra garlic). We're talking cut up garlic cloves NOT minced NOT chopped; just cut into these perfect pieces. You will see. Thank me later. Cheese bread: Cheesy, marinara(Y), goodness! Stuffed Shells: They rock...Pretty generous portion Lasagna: YUMMM!!! Tortellini: SoOo good but the portion has shrunk. Zupetta for dessert!! I NEVER leave this place without one!!

I've been going to Nunzios for over 20 years, and never had a bad experience. I always get the veal parm, my husband always the chicken parm. Why change something if it's always good? Try the bruschetta for an appetizer, it's not your typical bruschetta b/c they serve it like a pizza, and don't forget the Zuppeta for dessert! You won't find that dessert anywhere else in Miami and it's delicious! On weekends it can get crowded so get there early. The service is always fast & excellent! It's the only place in Miami where I've never had to ask a waiter to refill my water!

Great family owned place. The food was very good as well as the service. The food did take a while but the restaurant looked very busy so i guess we got there during rush hour. Only con: it felt like the north pole. Soooo cold inside. If you go, prepare and take a jacket with you.

This place is not worth coming too. Worst Italian food I have eaten. The quality, service, atmosphere, and food has to go down the drain. My dad ordered the special lasagna which was horrible; it had no meat just ham, which does not make sense, and I ordered the cannelloni and the ricotta cheese tastes like ham. Blah! I have been to good Italian restaurants that are better than this place. Obviously this place is for low-class people and if someone opens an Italian restaurant in bird road that shows good quality and class then this place will go down hill. I don't even understand how people can rate this place 4 stars and say something positve.

Local businesses are the heart of this nation and the local family restaurant is to me one of the best things about your neighborhood. Que the "Cheers" them song lalalala lalal alala lala lalala la... My fiance had been mentioning to me that we should check this place out for a while since it's right by the house. We have had our share of bad italian food around town but from what she told me i knew this place was going to deliver. An overall A+ experience on my first try. Portions were perfect, pasta was perfect and the sause was delicious. I had the fetuccini alfredo and at it was a perfect bland of cheese and sauce and not over powering like some other places do it. The service was super even with the place being full. What a great Friday night date place also. A little cozy place in your own back yard. I can see myself frequently coming here. I loved seeing the staff interact with the clients and it seemed like they all knew each other. : ) I would however recommend dining in here though. We had takeout a week later and i dont know...it just felt different... mangiare e divertirsi

Well I have been coming here for a year or so. The food is awesome. I love family style italian places. It is very authentic and delicious. Its not a gourmet restaurant, its better. Cool decor and a packed atmosphere . Good rolls wow and the pizza mamamia! Wow. The menu is diverse, the specials are so good but so are the basics. The short rib fetuccini was awesome and the sausages wow, yummy. The meatballs are very good and you can add meat to a dish like chicken meatballs hummmmm Again the pizza and decor and cool little italian place what a place.yummmm

I went here after a friend raved about this place and all I can say is what is she thinking?!? Both our dishes were extremely bland and quite frankly looked unappetizing. I'm pretty sure my ravioli came straight out of a Chef Boyardee can. Definitely not returning anytime soon.

I certainly don't get it,there are people that rave about this place, then there's Faby P. and Mario R. I always thought these people were the competition just writing bad stuff about a good restaurant. Then I had the misfortune of coming here, and I have heard that this is a good place to go. Now all I think is "are you kidding" Frank the waiter, yeah he was good until he questioned why I was taking back food and comparing my dish to the same thing my friend ordered. Hey pal all I can say is my buddy has poor taste. I ordered the linguini in white clam sauce. This is truly what the had to do. cook linguini open up a can of whole baby clams and dump it in, that's it for $15.00. It was horrible, they did nothing more to it. Even I can open up a can of whole baby clams and dump it on a steaming bowl of pasta and call it linguini and clams in white sauce. It was so bad I sent it back. I can still taste the can. The bread however is hot fresh and very good. But if that's all they have to offer, I won't be back. I have plenty of canned clams at home. I certainly don't know about the rest of the reviewers, but I'm shocked when I read best Italian food in all of Miami. It was bad, disappointingly bad, when I have heard good things about it, I wont come back.

BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN MIAMI HANDS DOWN! Since discovering this little hole in the wall italian restaurant my family and I eat there once a week! We love it; the food is great, the service is great, and the FOOD is great!!! If you haven't been you need to try this place it is excellent! I recommend the dessert: Zupeta we love it so much we order 2 every time! Do Order: Pizza, chicken parmigiana, bake ziti, lasagna... basically everything there is to die for!

If I had to pick the best Italian Restaurant it would be Nunzio's!!! My favorite meal is the Trochette Spinache. So delicious! The bread they put out is really good too. If you aim at any dessert or dessert drink, I recommend the cappuccino!! I wish I can take the chef home with me! I grew up around the area and I saw this small family restaurant grew into a very popular Italian restaurant over the years. They still travel to Italy to visit their other family once or twice a year. The restaurant would be closed for about a month. It is a small place, but don't judge a book by it's cover. You'll have an amazing meal every time. :)

This is my "Old Faithful" of Italian restaurants. It's family owned and operated and the place has a feel to it like you just entered someone's dining room. The pizza is really thin and very tasty! Love that the owners are so involved and especial like that Franco is behind the register after all these years! If you like other places better that's great, because this is still a great Westchester hidden gem! Try the zupeta dessert: it's amazing and an old family receipt that won't disappoint!

They had a picture of the late Pope John Paul II taped up to the wall next to the little corner table they sat us in. My first thought is, "this place is going to be authentic." And it was reminiscent of all those cheap, hole in the wall eateries I came across on a trip to Italy, where the portions were big, sloppy, and delicious. I really thought it had a... quaint (slash) family owned (slash) The God Father must come in here to run his business... feel to it. I devoured the Eggplant Parmesan and my friend housed the Gnocchi. Their garlic rolls are awesome! However, the complimentary house salad and their $5.50 glass of (watered down) Zinfandel wine I really could have done without. Actually, they really need to offer a lot more in their wine department. Other than that, it's a good local place for Italian eats.

i absouletly love eating here. I pratically grew up eating here when i lived my parents. only 5 blocks from my house. Anythinhg you order is gold. I especially like the pizza there., Its a thin traditional type, very New York Pizza on Key Biscayne if you had ever eaten there when it was around. The owner has the whole place on point, that he even closes for about 3 months to take off, so be carefull before you go. Anytime im in the neighborhood, its a must stop.

I am so disappointed! I used to come to this restaurant growing up with my family. I do not know what happened, it used to be sooooo good. The restaurant is not the worst, however I have definitely had better. My hubby ordered the lasagna special and I ordered the mixed salad- aka- lots of lettuce with 4 olives and bland dressing. I also ordered the Creme of Spinach soup which was just "OK". It was a little on the luke warm side- obviously it had been sitting in a pot since 10am. The service was also lacking. I felt like a patron at a soup kitchen instead of a customer at a good restaurant. Suggestion for the owners: instead of leaving on vacation for 2 months at a time, to the mother land, maybe you should work on improving "your family recipes" and educating your wait staff on better customer service.......just saying

I simply do not understand why there are all of these rave reviews about Nunzio's. I've lived in the westchester area all of my life and remember coming here with my parents when I was a kid(the wonderful 80's).. I vaguely remember enjoying the food, but back then, I also enjoyed boxed mac n' cheese and rice with catsup! That being said, I visited Nunzio's a few months ago and had a terrible experience. I ordered an antipasto for four and was served a heaping bowl of iceberg lettuce with 3 or 4 slices of subway quality salami and a few slices of subway quality cheese. I've never, EVER seen an antipasto served on a heaping pile of lettuce. The meatball sandwich was pretty good, but for close to $10, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. I decided to give it a second try a few weeks later just to see if my experience would be different.. it wasn't. The appetizer that I ordered was so bad that I don't even remember what it was. My meal came with a cheap salad that consists of a few pieces of lettuce, a tomato, and some onions splashed with olive oil and vinegar.. the meat sauce had no meat and tasted like it came out of a can(I would mention Chef Boyardee, but someone beat me to it).. they do not have fresh parmessan cheese.. the above mentioned antipasto is an absolute joke(didn't order again, but had to throw it in). You can prep a better antipasto for less by going to the Publix close by! This place is definitely NOT authentic and I don't think there is anything "fresh" nor "homemade" about it. It seems like your typical Americanized Italian food that you can find at the Olive Garden for a fraction of the price.. only Olive Garden has a larger selection!

Let me just say that I met PATRICK DEMPSEY when I came to this restaurant. I think that says a lot about a little Italian place located in a random shopping center on Bird Road. Their dishes are always simple and to the point - no fancy shmancy options here. Their garlic rolls are worth going back for and their gnocchi is memorable. There's family pictures hung all over the walls that let you know that the restaurant is family owned and that their customers are regulars. Check this place out if you want authentic Italian cuisine for a reasonable price. (Patrick was a total sweetheart, by the way.)

What a complete and absolute "merda" this place was. Everytime I tell someone about our crappy experience they say "What? I love that place!" I don't know what went wrong, but it was all just SO wrong. We ordered 2 Diet Cokes, lentil soups, cheesy gralic rolls, and gnocchi in meat sauce. Customer service: We sat in the back, by the 2 entrances to the kitchen, not the best table since it's a loud high traffic area. Our waiter was an older dude, he wasn't very friendly. In fact, the word "friendly" doesn't even belong in the same paragraph as a description of this guy. He was so... ugh! As the Cubans say "Pesado!" He was SO nice to the table next to us... saying "great choice!" and "enjoy your meal" while just dropping plates and drinks on our table and walking away like we were a couple of lepers. w/e! He was a complete "testa di cazzo"... look it up. The bus boys were very attentive... almost too attentive. I have never had a plate taken away so quickly in my life. It's like they have a quota to meet or were running out of plates in the back. However, when it came to refilling our drinks, not so much.... we literally waited 20 minutes for a refill. There were 2 guys just standing by our table/doors to the kitchen. We asked for a refill and he said "you have to pay for it" to which we were like "OK... so bring them" and he didn't move or signal another person to get them. We had to request refills again, this time Mr. Congeniality, our waiter, brought them... 15 minutes later, with a side of attitude to boot. Refreshing! Soups: bland. boring. I barely touched mine. Cheesy Garlic "rolls": Um.... when I picture garlic rolls, I envision round balls of delicious dough smothered in aromatic garlic. At Nunzio's, however, they call sliced baguette bread with a dollop of butter, marinara (Ragu?) and a blob of cheese garlic rolls. Oh and let's not forget... they came out @ the same time as our gnocchi. Major fail. Gnocchi: Hmmm.... weirdly shaped little things, they resembeled fingers. Not very appetizing. And wait... wasn't "Gnocchi w/ Meat Sauce" listed on the menu? Where was the meat? All we got were 3 tiny morsels of ground beef in what tasted like Chef Boyardee's finest canned sauce. We ate it b/c we were hungry and pissed by this time. It wasn't enjoyable @ all. I asked for the manager to send back the "rolls" and he kindly comped them along w/ my barely touched soup. I asked for the check and it came fast, I think this was the highlight of our visit to Nunzio's. I may give them another chance, maybe I will order a pizza and take it home. It's pretty hard to jack up a pizza, hopefully they will get it right and I can come back and write a better review.

I have been going to Nunzios for the past 22 years (Oh boy, I just aged myself) and it is THE ABSOLUTE BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN ALL OF MIAMI!!! I kid you not. Once you start frequenting it, you will never stop. Going there is like going to a friends house for dinner. The family who owns the place is ALWAYS there and the wait staff never changes. The restaurant is small and homey and you can literally just close your eyes and order whatever your finger lands on... you will not be disappointed. Please order the Zuppeta. It is a dessert like not other and I don't believe I have ever seen it anywhere else (and I eat out A LOT). I LOVE YOU NUNZIOS!!!

So, it seems the recent reviews have it right. The food here is just not good. It is flavorless, bland, and overpriced. I tried four different dishes from my group and they were all mediocre to poor quality. There are two things that stopped me from rating this one-star. First, it is a family-run business and they are very nice people. Second, the dessert (Zuppetta, I believe?) was quite good. The service from the waiter (not family, as far as I could tell) was average. I have a feeling as to why there are so many good reviews on this place: it is difficult not to give a high mark to your "family". Based on what I witnessed there, many people are regulars and the owners interact with them quite a bit. These customers likely come here all the time and have built a relationship with the restaurant. That relationship can cloud your judgment, similar as to how you may love your own mother's cooking even though it may be ok at best (she's your mom and you got used to her style of doing things). Anyway, there is zero chance I will ever come back here. I really wish the restaurant would read these reviews and improve on the quality of their food. They are a nice family with a solid customer base. Shame to let that go to waste.

I can't believe all the rave reviews. Except I notice that alot of them are from 2007, 2009, etc. Really. NOW I used to come here alot, when my son was in high school.. and it was fabulous. I came in April 2011 and was slightly disappointed that food was just OKAY, came last night 6/4/11 and it was disastrously bad. My son (celebrating his 21st birthday) literally couldn't eat his dish. He is too polite to send it back and wouldn't let me. And he is a college student who will eat anything. He ordered fettucini alfredo with chicken. Literally he dumped almost an entire table container of parmesan on it trying to make it edible. I am 1/4 Italian and tasted the sauce.. NO GARLIC, no cheese, no salt, no pepper, literally it was milk or cream and flour, with overcooked noodled. The chicken was hard and dry, had that OLD taste of several-days-old-and-reheated chicken. Are you serious? Flour and water = Alfredo sauce? It was an atrocity. I gave him my plate of stuffed manicotti, which was decent instead. The meat lasagna my husband had was OK, not bad, the pizza was very mediocre and the salad was inedible..swimming in oil. I always remembered their rolls as being so outstanding, and instead we got plain bread (no garlic butter?). It was decent. I am a high school teacher and the cafeteria food at Doral Academy (spaghetti, lasagna) was better than their pasta dishes. At $12 a plate? For 3 day old chicken and no seasonings? And they call themselves Italian? We were going to get dessert but didn't bother. It seems the tomato sauce dishes are better than other dishes, and skip the salad and bread. They need to get their act together. I am not the competition and you can find me as an art teacher at Doral Academy High school, don't own a restaurant or anything of the kind.

If inauthentic canned Italian food is what you like, then this is the place for you. I don't understand how so many people have such horrible taste. The sauce tasted like it came straight out of the can. My wife's baked Ziti was not fresh pasta, bland and over cooked. I played it safe and ordered a pizza, big mistake. Horrible not crispy, pastry like, and rubbery crust .. The garlic breads were okay, but soggy... A real waste of money...

I visited this place based on it's high average reviews, but man, they must not know good Italian food. I am from NJ / Philadelphia and grew up eating Italian food, and this place doesn't have it. I don't know the owners, so maybe they aren't even Italian. The dishes are extremely simple and bland. I ordered antipasta. It was a joke! I had some lettuce in the middle with sliced tomatoes, some lunchmeat and a few olives scattered between what seemed like deli cheese. I laughed when I received it because it was over $10 for that! The pasta was not homemade, and not al dente. The sauce was too sweet, almost jar-like. I took my Spanish Mother-in-Law and Brother-in-Law here to enjoy some Italian food and it was quite embarrassing. The food is overpriced and the pasta is like something you would get at a dinner or a microwavable Chef Boyardee can. Oh it wasn't just the antipasta that was a joke, all the salads were extremely basic and fast food like. I shouldn't say that, I recently had a pretty good salad at Wendy's.

This is no Il Gabbiano or Casa Tua, thank God. This is what my wife and I have been searching for in Miami since Paolo Luigi abruptly closed in Coconut Grove several years ago. A great, home style, red sauce, Italian restaurant, similar to what you would find in Boston, Providence or Staten Island. This is not a gourmet experience, it is just really good home cooked food. In fact, mom and dad are in the kitchen cooking and three of their sons are in the dining room taking care of business. Everyone is very friendly and service is excellent. The small, bite-size garlic rolls are great, not the lighter fluid soaked bombs you get at places like Mario the Baker. The spinach soup is out of this world. The stuffed peppers, the baked ziti with rolled beef and even the pasta with tomato sauce is great. The ricotta cheese cake is out of this world. The only down side is the wine list, it is very short but they do have one nice Chianti Reserva. I think they will let you bring your own bottle, I believe the table next to us brought theirs. If I didn't eat anything else all day, I could eat here almost every night.

Nunzio's is located in a shopping center that I frequent quite often, yet I never paid it any attention. What a fool I've been all these years! My friend suggested we go there a few weeks ago, and I quickly fell in love and have been wanting to go back ever since. We got seated immediately, even though the place looked pretty packed. It feels like a real Italian restaurant, with family memorabilia and pictures of Italy and all things Catholic adorning the walls. Our order got taken immediately by a no-nonsense waiter, and I opted for their gnocchi in red sauce, which came with garlic bread and a salad. The salad was pretty basic (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil & vinegar), but their garlic bread was amazing. My gnocchi was filling and definitely tasty - but next time I'm going with pink sauce, because the the red sauce sometimes got a bit overwhelming. I remember my friend ordering eggplant parmesan and wolfing it down. I snuck in a bite before she finished it, and it's definitely something I would order in the future. DEE-LISH.

This place kept popping up on my blackberry yelp app when I'd choose "restaurants nearby" - so I finally decided to try it. In a shopping center with Publix, Shorty's and where the Dollar Movie theater used to be (way back when). Nunzio's is the cure to all generic Italian chain restaurants. I love Macaroni Grill & Carraba's as much as the next guy, but if you want authenticity - go to Nunzio's. I felt like I was in someone's house - very cozily decorated and the staff was very friendly. Meal was delicious - and the tab for two people was about $50 between 2 beers, 2 entrees and a dessert. Will definitely be going back.

As i walk into Nunzio's I get this weird deja vu feeling....haven't i seen this movie before? Definitely unique in its eccentric, old school Italian decor, Nunzio's is a terrific little gem. The food is OLD school, hand made pasta that melts in your mouth, loads of fresh mozzarella, and absolutely to DIE for mini garlic rolls. Not those huge garlic rolls from Mario the Baker...No, no no....these are bite size!! Genius!!!!

I've been a proud patron of Nunzio's since the 1st grade. Even now when I come back home from San Francisco, I always make it a point to come back at least a couple times. The staff/managers take a very humble and prideful approach to providing the same brand of service now, as they did when they first started. As for the food, it is always fresh, authentic and tastes homemade. Even during my recent trip to Italy, I found myself comparing the food I had to my experience at Nunzio's.

I have been going to this restaurant since before it was even at it's current location. I ALWAYS order the cheese ravioli with extra cheese. I usually like to experiment and try different things at restaurants but I can't seem to order anything else. It is simply delicious. My mom always gets one of the specials and she loves their white sauce. The zupetta for dessert is like a slice of heaven. This is a great family restaurant that consistently has very good food. (There were a couple of years when it was just okay but it's back up to par again.)

I haven't been here in years...I remember why. The service. It's a long wait on a Saturday night, for dinner, especially if there's a big party that isn't in a hurry to leave. I don't think it's the wait staffs fault. Its just too busy for it's own good. The price is a bit much for the quality and portion size. My husband's lasagna was cold in the middle....microwaved dish, I think not! Drink refills took forever, they should offer a soda carafe. This way you can fill it yourself. The place does have it's charms but an hour wait isn't charming enough for me. We should have driven out to Mario the Baker!

Went here last night with some friends and it was nice. Our friends go there very often so they pretty much know the menu and the people. Reinier, our waiter, was awesome, very attentive without being over whelming, always making sure we had everything we needed. Our friend had ordered previously over the phone, for them to have two dozen of their very special garlic rolls ready when we got there. I thought it was a bit much when I heard him but they are bite size rolls covered in olive oil and garlic...YUMMY!!! they were baked perfectly and the garlic was not overly done, just the perfect amoun for the perfect flavor. When I asked Reinier his opinion between two dishes that had me wondering, he gave me his suggestion and, let me tell you, he was right. My pasta was great, stuffed with spinach in a bechamel sauce and covered in mozzarella which was nicely melted in the oven...mmmmmmm....my friends had their usual, some kind of eggplant dish with a side of spaghetti which they just love. Hubby and one of the guys shared a pizza. They had half sausage for my hubby and half anchovies, ham and olives for our friend (I know, weird LOL) let me tell you, it was delish. Their pizza is thin crust without being too crispy, it has the right amount of sauce so it doesn't taste like tomato sauce and, the sausage...mmmmmmmmmmm. Then it came time for dessert...wow!!! we had to struggle to make enough room in our stomachs to fit anything else. One of the girls had the mascarpone cheesecake, it's delicious and very light. I had the zuppetta which is a combination of ladyfingers with I don't know what else and it was just devine....Nunzio's is nice and casual, the service was excellent and the food is good, not extraordinary for very good.

Best Italian restaurant in Miami! I'm not sure who the negative reviews are from... Maybe some people prefer chain restaurants instead of authentic food. Every time I've eaten there it feels like a home-cooked meal. This is as close as you can get being that a real Italian family owns it. I've been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it's always been great. My favorite foods are the garlic bread with cheese, the gnocchi with bechamel sauce and the Zupetta (which you can only find here since its their own creation). They can be busy on weekend nights but its a price to pay for a good meal and definitely worth the wait.

This place is disappointing. I ordered the baked ziti, the sauce was just ok. The pasta was not al dente as I asked. I ordered it w/an extra crispy crust. It was mushy. The salad it came w/was just some thrown together lettuce, w/over ripened tomatoes, & oily dressing. The bread wasn't even garlic. The serving was insane! It was so small my son would have eaten & still been hungry. Olive Garden gives better portions. Save your money & go to Il Bambino. Much, much better.

Alright, I read the reviews before going, and while it is a good restaurant, It is by no means 5 star worthy. We arrived today (Saturday) at around 9:30, ordered garlic bread with cheese, the "Godfather" pizza (which is just a fancy way of saying Meatlover's pizza), and the Gnocchi (don't you just love that word!!). Everything was good, but average. I was expecting Mama's cooking, and what I got was two steps up from Papa Johns, and one step up from Olive Garden. The restaurant was packed and it has that cheesy Italian feel (almost like there should be some Mafia members playing poker in the kitchen). Nonetheless, the price is reasonable, and if you're a struggling hungry person tired of take-out, then I recommend it. If you're looking for a place to impress someone, then definitely go find somewhere else.

Walking into Nunzios is like walking into their family's dining room. Everyone is warmly greeted and the restaurant is loaded with pictures, memories and tons of family history. Get there early because the place gets packed! Everything I've had has been delicious but I'll be honest, one of the things that keeps me coming back. besides Biaggio's sense of humor, is the capuchino and their hazelnut chocolate pie HELLO HEAVEN!!!!! I could live on just that, but if you insist on actually having a meal ask them what their special of the day is, that's usually the best bet. The food is fresh, the recipes are authentic and the people are like visiting family (the kind you actually like)...lol

I've been driving past this place for ages, I never knew it existed. Thanks to Yelp I finally gave it a try. Here is the long and short of it, really good, honest, fresh, unpretentious Italian Mom and Pop restaurant. Great food, amazing desserts, fantastic service and reasonable prices. Give it a try and judge for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I would have to say that Nunzios is most def the best Italian restaurant in Miami, that is if you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine ofcourse. Everything about this place is great, other than the fact that it is a tad on the small side and can get crowded pretty much every night it opens. I have had pretty much everything on the menu throughout the years, but the best items on the menu are the Zuppeta (dessert) and the capuchino simply divine. The service here is quick and friendly and the fact that the lighting here is dim gives this restaurant a great feel overall. This is a great place and anyone that enjoys great, authentic Italian food must give this place a try.

I cant understand how anybody can say that the sauce is anything like Chef Boyardee that's an insult even to me I've been coming for 25 years. person who said that has no taste buds if you don't like something here then then go back another day and try something else and I guarantee you you'll like it the second time it all depends what you order don't order an anti pasta salad or the guy who ordered the clams with whatever that didn't like it try the spaghetti or capellini with whatever sauce you like tomato sauce meat sauce with or without meat balls with baked cheese on top the regular lasagna from the menu baked ziti and they got some awesome specials specially when Franco's brother makes the risotto. the regular round pizza is delicious the Sicilian pizza is also very delicious call an hour to an hour and a half a head for the Sicilian I like ordering the half cheese half pepperoni onion ground beef great combination if you like it all of their pastas are basically delicious what I'm saying is if you go here and you have a bad dinner go play the lottery you just had a bad day and its going to get better because of all the time s that I have come here I can't wait to go back and it's always been delicious try the stuff peppers when they have them also for soups they have the best lentil soup and the most delicious cream of spinach soup you will ever have and I don't even like spinach garlic knots are also very good and I've left out a bunch of stuff that's delicious oh and last but not least the zupetta for dessert if you don't go to the restaurant to eat just order a zuppetta you can get the whole thing or just one slice just go order yourself a lentil soup a cream of spinach soup and a slice of zupetta and I guarantee you those are going to be the best three things you have ever had from any Italian restaurant. you have to listen to all the reviews with a fine tooth comb because I've been coming here for a long time and I know this place is awesome. so for someone to say its not good and me not come here and miss out just for listening to them makes me really upset of how many other restaurants I have judged by what people say I almost want to leave my phone number here so people can call me and tell me when they went and how it went for them just go try the damn restaurant tell Franco manny sent you he's one of the brothers that runs the cashier they all work together what I hate the most is when they close for a month every year to go to Italy to their house for vacation

Like Gaby I also took an Italian class at Miami Dade Community College. My teacher, Biaggio was our guide and teacher during my study abroad program. Which was 5 weeks of language and humanities studies in the heart of Florence, Italy. My roommate on the trip was one of Biaggio's waiters and always spoke highly of Nunzios. I have been going there ever since. If you want REAL authentic Italian family dining you cannot go further than Nunzios. Family style decorations and walls littered with Biaggio's family pictures; really makes you feel you are in some little restaurant in Italy. As mentioned the restaurant is run by Biaggio and his family. With "La Nona" grandmom running the show when it comes to the food. They have some fantastic pizzas; my wife and I love their Gnocchi. More often than not, we take out as the place gets jamming. If you go during dining prime time be prepared to wait. Trust me the wait is WORTH every second. Take Gaby's and my word for it, give this place a try. You will love it.

I discovered this place 4 or 5 years ago. I took an Italian class and my professore, born and raised in Napoli, told us about his family owned restaurant so I just had to try it! It was amazing... his mom cooked, and him and his brother were part of the waiting staff. It feels family, it smells family and it tastes family! It's always full too because people know when they come here they will get a great home-cooked meal! If you are planning on going around August, call ahead of time to check they are open. I remember they closed for a couple of months around that time to travel to Italy (wouldn't it be nice?).

Nunzio's has to be one of my favorite restaurants! It's the best Italian you can get in Miami if you're like me and prefer the grandma's kitchen type food more than the gourmet Italian a lot of restaurants tend to offer here in Miami. I have been going to Nunzio's for years, and I have never been disappointed by a meal. My favorite is the Fettuccine Alfredo; the Alfredo sauce is light and creamy at the same time. It's not one of those sauces that is so heavy that you miss how fresh the pasta is. Their cream of spinach soup is fantastic as well. If you're smart, you might remember to go on an empty stomach, or stop eating so that you have room for dessert or coffee. The desserts are all fresh and home made as well, my favorites are the tiramisu and zuppeta, but their home-made creamy ice-creams are fantastic too! They serve a cappuccino the way it was meant to be served- with whipped cream and little chocolate chips on top. I went over the weekend and a woman seated near us was making sure she got all of her cappuccino and used a spoon to get the goods left at the bottom of the mug. If you don't want to wait or would rather eat at home (although sitting inside the restaurant does feel like you are in someone's dining room), they have take-out. Another important note is that they tend to close in the summer for awhile when the family returns to Italy.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

(2)Veronica L.
Genuine Italian family owned restaurant. Inviting environment family oriented and romantic. This is a hidden gem! Best Italian food outside of Italy! We will be back!!
(5)Alan R.
The owner Robert is back and the restaurant is back being a 5 star place! Food and service is top of the line. Don't walk back, run!
(5)Garen M.

(3)Jorge S.
(4)Glenda C.
(2)Stephanie M.
I've tried almost everything on their menu and love it all. My favorite entree is the veal parmesan, however the best dish would have to be the Zupetta.
(5)Carlos E.
I have been going to this restaurant for years and it is just amazing. As soon as you get there and you see Ana's huge smile (the hostess), you smell the food, and enjoy the food and service you will know why this place has been open and serving the most amazing italian food in miami so many years. I really love their food!
(5)Rey A.
This place is awesome! I've been coming here for over 10 years. Great atmosphere. Great food! Try the zupetta for desert!!
(5)Monica A.
(4)Samantha D.
(5)Sean G.
NO BUENO!
(1)Gabriel P.
Originally family owned Italian restaurant for 31 years and counting. Nuncios has a great atmosphere, cozy, and the food is outstanding. When I come Nuncios it feels like family. I love this place.
(5)Jolie J.
The only thing that is decent is the pizza but the other food and service not so much. Then again there were some nice servers so I guess it's who you lucky with service wise but yeah the food still isn't anything great very bland, tasting like if it microwaved and pretty sure it was. Wouldn't come back
(1)Claudia L.
I love this place! Whenever I want real Italian food this is were I go. Been a faithful costumer for the last 3 years. I recommend everything on the menu especially the desserts! The environment is a loud one and tables are not that spread out from each other but I like that kind of setting, its cozy and lively.
(5)Cari V.
Last few months the brothers have been missing the food quality as gone down tremendously - very sad
(2)Lina T.
(4)Ryan M.
Eat here at least once a month. Always on point. Try the Seafood pasta, you won't regret it!
(5)Carrie E.
(1)Raul P.
(5)Roselin S.
(3)Alex H.
(5)F S.
Cháo!!
(5)Juan B.
Love this place! Family run Italian Atmosphere, and Authentic cuisine. I lived in the North End in Boston and this place is as close to it as you get in South Florida!
(5)Holly P.
Ok so I'm not normally this harsh but when we walked in no one was there to greet us. once someone came to greet us they sat us with only one menu. there were two of us. a bus boy came and delivered two small waters and dirty glasses. I asked for lemon and he just walked away. my boyfriend and I have a rule that if no one comes to greet you after 5 minutes we will walk out of the restaurant. not only did no one come to greet us but at least five waiters walked by and give us a look. unfortunately none of them spoke to us or a short as that a waiter would be with us shortly. once we got up to leave no one was even concerned that we were leaving. the hostess just said goodbye. for being a very small place it was pretty well packed. but with service like this I will never go again. the place is packed don't even bother going in because no one will serve you. clearly the five waiters that they had on staff were not able to handle the 20 tables that are available most of which are two tops. pathetic.
(1)Tommy J.
(5)Damian A.
(5)Sayuri H.
This is my favorite Italian place in South Miami. Not only loving their food but also I love their cozy family atmosphere. Just celebrated my husband's big birthday there and the chef, Robert, prepared amazing and memorable food for us.
(5)Farah G.
Wonderful little place, consistently good over the years. They close for a month in the summer when they go to Italy and visit family.
(4)Yasmin B.
(2)Randy P.
Great family run Italian food. Their bruschetta is delicious. Try their Sicilian pizza. It's like no pizza I've had. Meatballs are excellent. Great desserts and cafe is awesome. The owners are awesome.
(4)Michael N.
(5)Zurely V.
Been coming since I was little. Family restaurant. Decent prices. Would go just for the pizza and zuppeta (heavenly).
(4)Gaby S.
(5)Mary M.
Pasta and sandwich hmmm may be;)
(3)Katy S.
(4)Maibe C.
(5)Alejandro D.
Great family owned place. The food was very good as well as the service. The food did take a while but the restaurant looked very busy so i guess we got there during rush hour. Only con: it felt like the north pole. Soooo cold inside. If you go, prepare and take a jacket with you.
(4)Adriana P.
(1)Ozzy R.
(4)Morgan C.
(4)Sandra M.
I went here after a friend raved about this place and all I can say is what is she thinking?!? Both our dishes were extremely bland and quite frankly looked unappetizing. I'm pretty sure my ravioli came straight out of a Chef Boyardee can. Definitely not returning anytime soon.
(1)Chariss A.
This place is a must go.. food is Delicious.. portions are right, not exaggerated, not to little. It has a homey feeling. I will definitwly go back. :)
(5)Andy D.
(1)Kris R.
(5)Frances C.
(5)Alex G.
(4)Lis M.
(3)Danny N.
Haven't been here in years. Used to be my favorite
(4)Adrian P.
i absouletly love eating here.
(5)Veronica D.
(2)Mario R.

DEE-LISH.

I've been coming here for years. Eat in, take out. It's all good. Don't forget to check out the specials. Now that I think about it, I've never been here for lunch. I must try.

Genius!!!!
(4)Eduardo P.

(5)Monica R.

Like eating at Nonna's house

tried the bowtie pasta with shrimp and salmon in a creamy frenchy-type wine sauce...pretty unique. a delicious special..look for it next time you visit. btw...dessert. one word. ZUPPETTA!

(5)Zoraida M.

Love the food at Nunzios! The pasta and red sauce are amazing. And you can't leave without having a zuppeta and a cappuccino!!
(5)Miriam F.

A staple in kendall. Nunzios has been around for a long as I can remember. What I love us their consistancy, throughout their history the food has maintained their quality.
(4)Zabrina G.

(4)Rose P.
Food was really tasty, a bit pricey for what it was- that was the turn off and somewhat too greasy for my taste. Having been to Italy I always seem to have too high expectations on the italian places I visit.
(3)Ingrid P.
Great Italian food. Try the chocolate mouse dessert...yummy
(4)Denise P.

I visit Nunzio about once a year and really enjoy the food. Whatever I order always satisfies my taste. Of course, I will return.

Pretty good gnocchi!

I love Nunzio's. The food is great and the service and ambience is fantastic. I love how casual it is and it's a place I like to go to for a good meal and to relax. I've been going there for years. It never disappoints. I love their Zuppetta for desert. Yum.
(5)Cristina E.
