We enjoy coming to milly's for the breakfast, best in Miami! The mangu is so soft and creamy and tastes amazing. We always order the mangu with eggs and salami or the queso frito. The service is quick and the servers are nice and attentive. Milly's is located in a busy plaza so parking can be a problem in the evenings but since we always come on the weekends for breakfast, we haven't encountered any problems. We are usually in/out within 30-45 minutes. The owner, Milly, is a sweetheart and immediately makes you feel at home. I truly enjoy coming here. I highly recommend the mangu. If you love Dominican food, you must try this gem!

It had been a while since I ate here. On a recent visit, food quality was not as great as I remember. My family and I used to visit frequent as it was one of the only legit Dominican places in Miami. Mofongo was dry and made with platanos medio maduros "arcojolaos". Same with the tostones. Please use green plantains and add more chicharron. Longaniza was too hard because it was over fried. Carnitas fritas were too salty. Croquetas de bacalo were perfect and so was el asopao de camarones. These two were the winning plates and earned you 3 stars. I'll give you another chance whenever in the area and in the mood. Hope it will be back to previous standard.

Small and quaint. Located in the plaza, has parking. Very nicely decorated with wood chairs and tables. Server was rapid and nice..

This restaurant gave Washington Heights Dominican restaurants which is a predominantly Dominican neighborhood a run for its money. I had the best experience visiting here! Our waiter was super friendly and gave great recommendations so great that we ended up changing our orders to his recommendations. I had the pollo al ajillo that was so yummy I ate the whole 6oz breast piece! My cousin got the mofongo with rabo (oxtail), I do not eat red meat and have only ever tried my moms homemade rabo which I thought had no competition, I WAS WRONG! This rabo was so good I had to call my mom and tell her she had serious competition. A DJ came in at some point and played such good old school merengue, bachata, and salsa that I couldn't help but get up and dance in the middle of a seated restaurant! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT HERE AND WILL COME BACK ASAP!

Best Dominican Food in Miami! Hands down! Amazing presentation and exquisite food! Loved the fact that the owner comes around to introduce himself and ask about the service. Amazing service!

Usually it's those tiny places that serve the best food and this place is definitely one of them. The establishment is decorated nice, has that cozy feel and that expectation that you'll enjoy the meal. The waitress took our order and brought us an Avocado salad that was very fitting for a starter. The place is Dominican however also serve traditional Puerto Rican and other hispanic food. We ordered Mangu and Mofongo. Both are the same from plantains except Mangu (Dominican) is pureed and Mofongo is fried. The Mangu i chose had spanish sausage and fried cheese. Delicious! The Mofongo my wife chose was paired with fried chunks of chicken (chicaron de pollo). Both were amazing with very generous portions. Dessert? Had to try their Dominican Cake (yellow cake with pineapple filling) and flan. Cake was really good, flan wasn't to my liking though. Again, both generous portions. I really like this place and will return when I'm in the area. Thanks MIlly!

great food and service. i've been eating dominican food all my life and i was blown away by the authenticity and the freshness. Everything we ordered made on the spot. I felt like i was in dominican republic. I'm dying to try their mangu breakfast.

WOW!!! This place was awesome. I've never had Dominican food before and boy have I been missing out. I ordered the Mofongo con Longanisa (sausage). Mofongo is a mashed and fried plantain dish that can have various spices, meats, etc. in it. There was so much flavor between the plantain, sausage and the spices. The price was $9.95 which was well worth it for the portion and the deliciousness. The menu is fairly extensive and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance is casual. There are two rooms for seating, one small and the other larger. Parking is a nightmare as it is too near the intersection of Calle Ocho and 27th, but its free. I recommend parking on 29th paying the parking and avoiding the traffic by using the back roads. The service was okay, not great, but not bad. It's solamente en Espanol, either that or she didn't want to speak English. Being so close to my office, I'm sure I'll be back.

Service is very bad, waitress was in a very bad mood. Didn't look at your eyes when talking to you, and never noticed a smile in her. Maybe because it was on a sunday. The "morir sonando" was delicious. Ambience very dominican, music was merengue with a very tolerable volume to have a conversation. The breakfast is very good. Mangu, salami, eggs and cheese. 2.5 stars. Might not return

My husband and I just had dinner here, atmosphere, food and the service were excellent. Definitely will come again. Also, the young lady that attended us (Stephanie) was very courteous and professional.

I've had difficulties finding "good" Dominican food Miami. My search is over! Great food! Do yourselves the favor and take full advantage of this place's authenticity; meaning DON'T order a churrasco w/rice&black beans. Try a "Mangu w/Stewed Chivo" or the "Sancocho". Hopefully u will be pleasantly surprised like I was.

Milly, if you read this, and are interested in learning more, send me a message and I will be happy to connect. I first decided to attend this place because one of my students recommended it. My student who recommended your restaurant said you had great work ethic and were committed to good service and authentic Dominican food. Based on my brief interaction with you, I would agree that this is so. However, your staff is killing your business because I don't want to come back and neither do my friends and here is why: I went my first time on a Sunday morning before 11am and found that the food was very good that time - we had the mangu with queso y longaniza. However, my friend and I were the only customers in the place and the young lady helping us was very rude, slow, and didn't even say a word to us. I came back another time with two different friends who both agreed that the service was terrible. It was the same girl. That time, Milly arrived and saw that our plates were empty and our glasses were too. She asked us if we wanted water or a refill and we said yes, she picked up our plates with her bag still on her shoulder and apologized. We heard her go into the back and ask the girl to come out and get us water. The last time I went was during lunch on a Saturday and this time we had a different server, this time WORSE than the one before. She didn't serve water, we had to ask her twice. She didn't greet us, or talk about anything on the menu although both my friend and I are bilingual and it was obvious; after bringing out our food, she disappeared for like 20 minutes. I ordered mofongo and it was terrible, I left all the chicharron on the plate because it looked like it had been warmed up in a microwave. Needless to say, I am not going back.

Placing an order for the holidays was very frustrating. Each day there was a different story regarding pick up time. Nevertheless, we placed the order and picked it up only to arrive at my destination with a back seat full of water & oil from the pasteles we ordered. The young lady that brought the food to my car didn't consider the placement very well. Can't wait till I can clean the car well enough to remove the smell. So gross.

Came here for the first time at noon on a Sunday and they ran out of mangu.... When I decided to leave, I was also charged $3.50 for a cup of juice. Had high hopes for this place but definitely wasn't a great first impression.

I love Millys. Frequent this hidden gem twice week The mofongo with shrimp is to die for. The service is also pretty good. You will always see Milly there behind the bar and the free wifi is great for perusing the news or email while you await your tasty tidbits.

This was my second visit here. Food is good and taste fresh. Price is moderate but the portions make up for it. I grew up with a Dominican mom and I can tell you that the taste is definitely authentic. The ambience is old school "rustic." The only problem I could see is that it is located on 8th st which is extremely busy during rush hour.

I loved this restaurant, very friendly and casual but respectful host. As soon as I walked in noticed the typical merengue music in the background. The host was also our waiter, very attentive and fast service. Went over the day's special right away, which I already knew before hand because I researched this place prior to going. I had my Girlfriend try the Sancocho, it was her firs time ever eating dominican food and absolutely loved it! I had the Mofongo de longaniza, IT WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!! By far the best Mofongo I've had in any restaurant! It was the right moist and freshness to it, most places serve it dry and a bit hard , but these folks have perfected the art of making perfect Mofongo! I also took an order of Sancocho to go, and loved it so much! Give this place a try, is very nice and the food as authentic as it gets for dominican food, If you can't go to DR, you can make that up by going to this restaurant!

Best Dominican restaurant near my neighborhood, Brickell. It takes me less than 10 minutes to get here. Everything on the menu is great but the Mofongo de Camarones is my favorite. The service here is exceptional. It is located in a small shopping center with enough parking during the day.

Great mofongo! My husband loves their lemonade. They usually have habichuelas con dulce. A big plus!! So far like everything I eat there.

Damn good. My goat was sooooo tender. No salt and pepper needed on this food. Seasoned to perfection.

Milly's is by far the best Dominican spot in all of Miami and if you could find a better place, please let me know. This place made me feel like I was back in my country. You should try their Dominican goat with red beans with some passion fruit. It's to die for and my girlfriend tried Tres Golpes and she was in love. It might be pricey but you get great food.

I thought this place was actually pretty good. The mofongo had a nice flavor to it in my opinion. I had the goat and rice dish which I found satisfying as well. The service was friendly and accomodating. The food is cheap here as well which is an added bonus. I'd say it's worth a lunch visit.

The mofongo was a bit too dried for my tastes and the chicharron didn't have much flavor to add to it. It taste resemblance is that of tostones. If you like that, then mofongo is for you. The salad is a simple salad you find in inexpensive Latin American restaurants - iceberg lettuce, onions, tomatoes. The churrasco was cut very thin. While flavorful, its thinness proved to be a negative. The beef empanadas were interesting - the dough was made out of yuca, not your typical corn dough or flour dough empanadas. But it didn't quite pack a flavorful punch. A lime wedge helped though, but what really needed help the most was the filling. The pollo al vino was mediocre. It was flavorful and definitely edible, but it was soaked in sauce that I felt like it was more of a cafeteria food than anything else. It looked like it too. The waitress didn't provide a smile, but she provided good service, was patient, informative and helpful in making decisions and suggestions. Overall, very average. However, it's nice to say that there's a Dominican restaurant in Miami. This seems to be a popular one, based on the "wall of fame" that includes pictures of Miss Florida, the mayor, and even a City of Miami's dedication of a day in a year to the restaurant. Quite odd to see a restaurant get a day dedicated. Prices were affordable, the ambience was pretty nice with all the polished wood tables and chairs.

Really good Mofongo and the owner is tre cool and will come out to see how your liking his place. Also I think every Latino star has been here from all the pics on the walls.

When you walk in this place you feel the Dominican vibe hit you. It feels like you are in the country itself - they not only offer authentic Dominican food, but also import their sodas and beer. Add some Dominican music, and the atmosphere is just as authentic. Overall the food is average, however. It satisfied my craving for Dominican food, but it did not blow me away.
