We come here all the time! It's a cozy little hole in the wall with so much character. The service is excellent and the food is even better. Be cautious about the parking spots because some of them belong to the gas station. The bandeja paisa is a must.

First time here, and the food was very good. I got the bandeja Paisa. The meat was a little overlooked but it was very flavorful. It's a lot of food, but the prices are somewhat high, and they do not have a lunch menu. I also ordered an arepa de choclo for appetizer and it was very good. Overall, not amazing, but worth a one time visit.

I love it !!! Music at Friday night.. Good place to have a good dinner and a good time if you like Colombian food and music, super good choice. Prices are very affordable.. And they have special lunches Monday thru Friday

The BANDEJA PAISA and MONDONGO are my favorites. Beautiful place... but the service is not the best thing in this restaurant.....

Hands down the best Colombian restaurant I've been to outside of Colombia! I am a regular and get the same thing everytime because it's like eating home cooking. La bandeja paisa is delicious. The meat is well seasoned and extremely juicy. The rice and beans are to die for and the chicharron is just perfect. Not sure how the food can come out so quickly and be THAT delicious... they have magic wands back there I'm sure :) The coconut lemonade is like nectar of the gods and definitely a must have! It's the first thing I order before I even sit down :) To end the meal, I highly recommend the coffee and the postre de natas. OMG yum!! I've never had a negative experience at Mi Pueblo and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The new addition to the restaurant is gorgeous and totally reminds me of being in Colombia. Love love love la plaza! Thanks to Yoly and Daniel for always making it a very pleasurable experience. Even though there are plenty of Colombian restaurants close to my home in Brickell, I prefer the drive to Mi Pueblo where I know the food and the service will never let me down.

I love, love, LOVE the sancocho de res the most from the menu, but everything is delicious. As a proud Colombian American, my comfort food isn't collard greens and fries chicken (although that is just as yummy); I crave a bandeja paisa and empanadas. I have come here two birthdays in a row, and considering my 25th is in a month, this might be year three at this divine hidden gem. They also expanded the restaurant space and now perform music on weekend nights! My parents love this place and I'm thankful they introduced me to this spot.

What a joke! We drove from Aventura in search of the "cevice de chicharrón". We got a $7.00 plate full of onions and lime with maybe 4 pieces (thin as a stamp) of actual chicharrón. I asked for jugo de moras half water and half milk... impossible. They rushed us to order after they took almost 45 minutes to bring the stupid ceviche. We ordered appetizers as entrés and they put everyone's food in ONE plate. My aunt's arepa was in my plate. My mom's lime was in someone else's plate and the friendly waiter decided that it was ok to come to the table and star stirring my juice handling my straw with his hands! Ewww. The empanadas and pandequesos we ordered never came to the table. Oh, but they made it to the bill! What an awful place with even worst service. This is not what colombians are known for. We are colombians, and we know about good service.

This restaurant has a very attentive and pleasant team/ staff (pretty good looking too). The environment resembles that of a small town in Latin America (it may be in honor of it's name: Mi Pueblo). I had a delicious coconut curry-shrimp meal, which I didn't quite associate with Colombian food but interpreted as a creative and smart addition to the menu. I like places that venture in "new territory" and/ or add a little diversity to their niche market. This place offers more than just Colombian food; that, you may find somewhere else. Mi Pueblo deserves recognition for its friendly and attractive staff. Great food at an affordable price is just an addition. I'm coming back to Mi Pueblo. =) - CM

Excellent bandeja paisa. Everything on it is great... Hard to find asking Colombian restaurants. Staff is very, very friendly and the restaurant has a cozy, authentic feel. Been back several times and quality is consistent.

I've been coming here a few times already and I'm never disappointed about the quality of the food nor the quality of the service by the staff. I've had several dishes such as the fried fish, the paisa platter, too and like always, I always leave more than satisfied. The prices are decent, when they're busy the crowd is very pleasant and plenty of room to move around. I find this place very cozy because it's not that big. Great experience at this little restaurant!

This is my favorite colombian restaurant! We love their casual de frijoles, sancocho, and lunch specials! The service is great and the lady who's the owner along with her sister are always happy. Making it a nice atmosphere.

Excelente food, everything we ordered was delicious the cazuela to die for, the grilled steak and the sancocho excellent. First time in the restaurant and we will come back when In Miami we will highly recommended the restaurant and their service awesome.

They have the best frozen lemonade. Also they get packed during lunch time. The only bad thing is that they don't have big parking lot. Sometime it's hard to find parking.

So my co-workers and I went to lunch at Mi Pueblo today. The service was very attentive which as soon as you walked in you are immediately greeted. Inside the theme shows a smooth comfort Colombian atmosphere. The Menu seems like it needs to be renewed since the contents are not that clear and it just looks old. Yet, the food was very impressive in Taste, serving quantity and Price (affordable average $10 per plate or less). The food was served fast compared to most restaurants where you would wait in average of 45 min. Outside the restaurant didn't have much presence and no option to eat outdoors. Parking is easily found since a lot is right in front. I had a baby Churrasco and honestly it was too soupy. They gave me rice with no beans. and the salad was very blah. Nevertheless, I noticed my co-workers plates and it seemed very good.

When I need a picada fix, this is where I go. They serve it with chicken, carne asada, Colombian chorizo, morcilla, and chicharones with potatoes, arepas, and tostones to breakup the flavors. They also serve a fantastic breakfast special and other great breakfast foods (the juevos rancheros are my go to.) Service can vary from really good to just okay, but everyone is always pleasant. I really love coming here.

Excellent food and service!!! Steak churrasco and chicharron excellent. Service was good and nice decor and access. I'll be back for more!!!
(4)David A.
I'm not much for Colombian dishes but this place has some great dishes that are well priced. The picante here is excellent! Simple dishes that are nice here are a churrasquito with rice, tostones and salad for only $9, or a pollo empanizado. Simple meals that are well prepared.

Loved the food here. Found this place by chance. Their white rice is delicious. I had the churrasquito, white rice, plantain. Great choice. My boyfriend has Fried Mojarra(fish) it was great. Real fresh also with white rice and plantain. The presentation is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful with the menu.

I'm a big fan of this place! I survived thanks to them all my undergrad and masters years of college! Food is super yummy! and prices are even better!! Ask for the executive lunch menu! and you can get a nice lunch for $6.00! How can you beat that! when across the street at Mickey D's is about $7-8 for junk food! Here you got everything - great service, great food, and a nice casual ambiance!

I really enjoy eating at this place! Its close to FIU and the prices don't break the bank!! The only problem that i encounter with this restaurant is that i am unable to communicate with the waiter/waitress. Its a colombian restaurant so everyone speaks spanish. And yes, i should probably learn to speak Spanish. But HEY at least i speak Chinese :) I've become a regular at the restaurant so i can basically go in and *point* and they'll know what i want. I usually order the Carne Asada con maduros and the Palitos de Queso! De-lish!
(4)Monica G.
Make sure that when you come here. You keep an eye out for this place. Since it is located in a corner of a strip mall and right behind a gas station. It was a bit difficult to find. Well at least for me. I ordered the pollo con cebolla. Just by looking at the plate when it arrived. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to finish it. The portions were big. Food was great. Freddie was very attentive. Prices were reasonable.

Colombian dishes, I am not so familiar with but when I went this place I really liked La Bandeja Paisa ! Simple: rice, beans, pork, meat or chicken, arepa I have to say that these beans are one of the best beans I have tried anywhere else ! Their chicken selections are very good, their tostones are awesome, different sauces to choose from are WOW ! Very good food for the price !

We ordered take-out from here the other day...it was great! They have different lunch specials every day...for $5.75 you get a a nice cup of soup, a small salad, vegetable side or fries, a generous helping of rice and a generous entree. Will be going back again. If you're in the area, this is probably the best $5.75 you can spend (this place was better than La Carreta, honest.)

I have many colombian friends, a lot, but i rarely go to a colombian restaurant. My excuse is that most of the ones ive been to, are too pricey for what it is. (rice, beans, plantains...) but a good friend of mine and hopefully future yelper, took me to 'mi pueblo restaurant' in west miami. there are a few stools and quite a few tables. TV tuned into colombian news. our waitress was helpful and had patience with me as i asked her 'what is this?' for almost every appetizer they have on their menu. i went for the areapa paisa or arepa con hogao. ive never had it before and i think i have a new favorite appetizer. this stuff is good! for those who dont know, an arepa is a sorta corn-based flat bread popular in the northern andes. hogao is a traditional sauce. its oily, smoky with chopped tomatoes and scallions. yum! good stuff! and i also went for the 'bandeja paisa'. what i like about this plate is that it comes with a fried egg, and you know when a dish comes with a fried egg on top it only means one thing: this is serious. la bandeja paisa includes grilled steak , chicharron (fried pork), red beans, rice, chorizo (sausage), a fried egg, and an arepa... oh a sweet plantains. a feast i tell ya. my friend ordered the same thing and neither of us finished it. i think im going to have to go back to this place sometime. one thing i really liked about mi pueblo is that i spent 15$. so next time im feeling hungry and in the mood for meats, mi pueblo it is and oh ... those arepas con hogao.... good stuff!!!

I absolutely LOVE this place, their food tastes like home made goodness! They have a special of the day everyday that is a full meal for $5.75 and it also brings a soup!, It's definitely a steal. I recommend you try their carne asada with tostones and ask for their chimichurri sauce on the side it is so TENDER and tasty you will be fully satisfied and your taste buds will love you! Oh to drink they serve this drink called "manzana" which is basically a pink apple-flavored soda that tastes super delishh! Try it ;)

The worst cazuela de mariscos ever!!!!!!! I found this restaurant through the website agreatertown, where they were clamming to be best known for... Best cazuela de mariscos ( seafood casserole)....Well I decided to drive 15 miles to this restaurant to order it. I have been eating cazuela de mariscos since I was little, it has been so difficult to find a place that knows how to prepare this dish!!! On my way there I call just to make sure they have cazuela and if they cook it using coconut milk and if is good, lady answering the phone says yes is really good. I arrived there, the place looks very traditional. The host/owner brings the menu and I say without looking: Let me have the cazuela de mariscos!!!! Is it really good?? She says yes is really good. So I'm really excited thinking I found the place!!! I order an empanada which was not good, I had better, also order a lemonade which was ok. The waiter was polite he served my side dish. The rice was tasty, salad ok and the toston (fried plantain) was really bad, looks like they reused an oil where they have fried something else that was indescribable. I really don't want to know :( Well finally my cazuela is served. It has a white pallid color, the taste was bad, the seafood was overcooked, some were salty. So I put some lemon like I have for many years and I never had any problems with, to see if taste improves, well it was the same. So I tell the waiter to bring me the menu I want to order something else because I was really dissatisfied with the flavor and texture of my cazuela. He was really apologetic asked me what was wrong, I explained him why. He offered not to bill me, he was sorry. I offered to pay I didn't want to get him in trouble. He says not to worry about it. So I decided to stay and order grilled chicken breast. While waiting he talks to owner and then he comes and says that he is really sorry but they will have to bill me for the cazuela, because the owner was going to taste my cazuela !!!!!! to see what was the problem, but since I have put some lemon that cause the cazuela to go bad, so I'm going to be billed for it......!!!!! I could not believe what I just heard!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could someone taste someone else's soup???????????????? How can you use the lemon as an excuse, that it was the reason why it went bad??? and why seafood was overcooked and salty????? OMG!!!!! At this point I just wanted to leave that place, I felt so disgusted!!!!!!!! The only reason why I waited for my second order was the waiter, he was really sorry about what happened and he was so polite that I stayed. I finish my food as quick as possible. Chicken was ok, rice was good, salad ok and toston again had the awful reused oil taste!! When I got my bill, owner did nothing but to charge me $14 for THE WORST CAZUELA DE MARISCOS EVER !!!! I paid, tipped the waiter and left. Any way is not his fault. I felt really sorry he works there! I was not offer any discount on my total bill or anything in the house. This has been my worst experience ever in a restaurant in my life!!!!! I will not recommend this place to anyone!

I had lunch at this Colombian restaurant. I started by enjoying a delicious jugo de mora, which tasted great, not overly sweet or watery, just perfect. Service was friendly and efficient. However, my meal took a while to arrive to my table, approximately 25 minutes. I ordered the Churrasco con champinones (Churrasco with mushroom sauce). My chucarrasco was very dry, over-cooked and lacked seasoning and flavor. The mushroom sauce saved this meal. It was accompanied with great tasting salad, rice and tostones. The prices are okay, as I paid around $12 for this meal. Their soups are probably better as half of the restaurant patrons were enjoying one. The place was clean.
