Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Food is good for the price. Just don't go to their bathroom it is truely out dated they really need to remodle it. Best day to go is Saturday and Sunday for their Seafood.

This is a place I would normally give 3 stars to. However, they have one item on their menu that I find out of this world so I had to give them an extra star. Their black peppered shrimp is to die for. Overall, its an average buffet. Nothing special but nothing bad either.

The food is nothing to write home about. It's okay, but not great. When it comes to Chinese restaurants, there are three tiers: great (P.F. Changs), mediocre (most of the rest) and truly sad (Panda Express). The Main Moon falls into the mediocre category. It's okay for a quick lunch, but it'll never be named a 'must visit' restaurant by any publication. Same cookie-cutter menu available at the millions of such buffets in the U.S., though I will admit that the pepper steak was pretty darn good. The ice milk (who sells ice cream anymore?) was sour, as it was the first time I ever visited. Possibly due to the machines not being cleaned frequently. The staff is pretty friendly, but the decor is lacking. For one thing, the glass waterfall looks like it needs about twenty or thirty gallons of CLR poured over it. If this filthy decoration is the first thing your customers see, then what do you think they're wondering about the cleanliness of the kitchen or the safety of the food?

We visited this place for lunch today. The service was terrible. Our server sat at a table directly in front of us, peeling beans. She ignored our empty plates & did not offer refills. Not one item of food actually tasted good. The bathroom was a disaster. To top it off, there was a roach crawling across our table. By the time the waitress walked by, it was on the floor. We pointed it out & she stepped on it & kept walking. We left the payment on the table & walked out (carrying 2 baby's). They actually chased us out the door & said we didn't pay. When we told the server we left it on the table she said we had to go get it & bring it up front. Needless to say, We will never go back.

Main Moon buffet isn't bad...but it isn't exactly stellar either. I don't really have much to say about this place other than the fact that it doesn't really stand apart from the tons of other Chinese buffets out there. If you really want to have a great buffet experience just drive a little further down US1 and go to Tokyo Buffet.

This Chinese buffet is very good and tasty. They have a variety and always have nice waitresses. Though the place may look outdated, it is kept clean and under good maintenance.

I'm not a buffet person kinda gal but this Main Moon Buffet place is really decent they have great food and it's located in the same shopping plaza with the Chuck E Cheese's.I will come back

If I could give this place zero stars I would ... Never ate something so sad . Really you would get a much better meal at Panda Express. I just hope I don't get food poisoning... Would never go back there ! I mean never !!!

I have been coming to this location for well over 10 years. Never disappoints the craving of some good ol Chinese food. This is an americanized version but its fresh and well cooked. Not a lot of selection there are 2 tables of hot food and one of deserts/fruit. But there is pretty good stuff to choose from. Service is always on point.

Food was bland and unappealing. There were a few textures/intense seafood flavors on food that ... doesn't come from the sea. Wish I could put something more positive, but no... just no.

I was hungry for Chinese food so I stopped here for lunch. There was mostly fried food and the food that had meat in it didn't taste good. I would have rather went anywhere but here . It was only 8 bucks , so the quality is matching the price. I definitely will not be returning. Blah!

Let me be clear, this is not food that is going to blow you away with it's amazingness, but it is a Chinese buffet, ya know. With that said, I think this is the best Americanized Chinese buffet I have found in Miami. All the food was fresh. Sesame chicken was on point. Sweet and sour chicken was well fried. Boneless spare ribs were "right." Service was attentive and the prices were low. Would come back if I was down south and wanted an above average Chinese buffet experience (by Chinese buffet standards).

Pricey, lack of choices, bad service and the food is horrible. That basically summarizes it. Stay away!

This was the place I took my brother out to for his birthday. Worst mistake ever. Terrible food. Completely inedible. I don't want to sound like one of those uptight reviewers who spend their life dedicated to being a keyboard warrior. But holy heck was the food horrendous. The chicken was so dry my brother almost broke his tooth on it. The noodles were so bland and had a weird aftertaste also everything was cold. You could tell they didn't care about their customers just their money because when we spoke to the owner he just shrugged it off. Didn't care as he realized the food was days old. This place honestly needs to be shut down. We left plates filled with food and spent up to 60$ for 4 people who ate 1bite of food and got food poisoning. So I paid 60$ to get sick. Would not recommend even if thee apocalypse happened and this was the only place left with food. I would rather starve.

Your standard Chinese buffet. Clean, well prepared food, quiet environment. Staff quiet and attentive. As with any buffet, it's best to come during high volume times to be assured the food turns over quickly and doesn't sit under warmers for long periods. My only complaint was "WHERE THE HELL WAS THE HAPPY ENDING?" Evidently this is NOT a traditional Chinese buffet after all.

My husband & I decided to try some place new tonight. Walked in, got sat at a table (they don't have any booths) and ordered drinks all right away. Went to the buffet line, grabbed a plate and immediately saw roaches crawling across the sushi. Left my plate, showed the manager, & walked out... Hell no.

Not worth the money. I know what I'm getting myself into going to a buffet. The staff is friendly, the food was barely warm the food selection was extremely small. They barely has dessert. I'm a chef by trade so my opinion may be biased but my 10 yr old niece said " the food was ok".. Def not going there again.

There was a bug in my food, and they still expected me to pay the meal in full. Nuff said.

We have been here twice and I liked it both times. Clean buffet area, clean restrooms, and the food has all been fresh (even the seafood dishes). The food is buffet quality--don't expect anything over the top fantastic--but, that said, a lot of the dishes are really yummy for a buffet and the sesame chicken is probably the best sesame chicken that we have found in the area so far, miami is really a wasteland when it comes to Chinese food so I'm quite pleased that we found this place. Also I'm a fan of the service. Both times they brought the high chair for the baby without me having to request it and they are fast but at the same time don't make you feel rushed, which I favor strongly. There are no changing tables in the restroom but even still they are very kid-friendly. Also the prices are very reasonable. Come hungry because they have a lot of yummy looking stuff! Glad we found this spot!

It's a 3 but a solid 3, actually if I could it would be a 3 and a half. Main moon is located in a shopping center by US-1 and 184th street Eureka drive. In the same shopping center of Chuckee cheese and Publix. Main moon has been here for years and is always my go to spot when I'm down south. Now like all Chinese buffets the food is never stellar but here it's pretty dam decent for the price. The inside is actually pretty nice. They have typical Chinese decor and lit framed photos of Chinese landscapes and Chinese landmarks. The variety in the Buffet is pretty solid, for lunch they usually have your typical egg rolls, sesame chicken, cheesy crab, lo mein pork fried rice which are all pretty good. The best time to go though is for dinner when they bring out more seafood. My personal favorite items are the stuffed mushrooms and their peppered shrimp, I can eat a stacked plate with just that alone. The staff is all Chinese which is great because they are very attentive, your drink is always filled and your dirty plates are always gone by the time you get back to your seat. The best time to come is during dinner it's busy so they keep bringing out fresh food, only thing is you will be stuck in line with some ghetto ass people talking shit and clearing up the food pans right before you get to them. This of course is normal in South Dade so it shouldn't be a huge deal. Now I haven't been to every Chinese buffet in South Dade but most of the ones I have tried or seen look and taste like shit. I would most likely recommend Main moon as the best Chinese Buffet in all of South Dade. So if you live in Perrine or Cutler Bay this place should be your go to spot for Chinese buffet. People living further down like Naranja or Homestead definitely need to make a short trip and check out Main moon it just may become your go to spot as well.

We have been going to this buffet for years for my Dad's birthday. He used to love the place. When you walk in, there used to be a fountain that worked and set the atmosphere. Now it just sits dry and empty. Half of the dining area was dark with no one sitting there, the hostess directed us to the other side where they had everyone sitting. My husband gags every time we go there because of the sour smell from the carpet. Over the years, I have seen the food go from good, to ok, to edible, to just awful. We will never be going back there. The food last night was awful, nothing tasted freshly cooked....maybe leftover from lunch? Aside from the fact that nothing tasted fresh, the selection has taken a nosedive. Now mixed in with the traditionally Chinese buffet affairs were french fries, mac and cheese, Quesadillas and other bizarre choices. With four adults and two children our bill was over sixty dollars. I hottailed it out of there, but in retrospect tried to figure out how much I was really charged for my 4 and 6 year old who would only eat the white rice, cantalope, and jello.

Suffice to say this place isn't on my 'must go back to' list. The buffet was so-so and what I actually wanted to eat (sesame chicken) was empty. After trying the sushi and the fried shrimp I went back for a 2nd round and the sesame chicken bin was STILL empty. Really?!? Service was decent but needs more of a selection and what is actually there should actually be availiable.

I've been coming here for years but I gotta say it's getting worse as the years pass. The food is bad... Really bad... The only reason I have it two stars is because of nostalgia, if. I had never been here before it would have gotten one star.. Tokyo buffet kills this place now, sad...

It's more like a 2.5. The food is not the best I've had. And don't even go to the bathroom. It's so dirty. It was pretty empty. There was only one waitress working the whole place.
