I just went to this place for the first time. Amazing. A place where u can have Latin food and not feel guilty. Totally recommend it

Cuban, healthy, delicious. No, I'm not describing myself. LOL!!! I'm describing the food at Fat Busters. I have woken up from the spell that Cuban food can't be healthy. Fat busters is awesome. My girlfriend and I had a dentist appointment nearby and I had this place bookmarked so I decided to come. The place was 2 minutes to closing but the lady was super helpful and apologetic. She kept repeating, if we would have been there earlier we would have seen and taste more food. The service in itself was great. On to the food. The fact that she let us tried everything before we ate is worth the 4 stars. We finally decided on the chicken vaca frita with brown rice and cream of broccoli , my girlfriend had the turkey meatballs with fufu and cream of broccoli as well and we got a third one with sliced turkey and smashed sweet potato. I know, a lot of food. But everything was delicious. The chicken vaca frita was great the fufu was sooo soft and smashed sweet potatoes so creamy and sweet. The cream of broccoli was delicious. For desert I had the whole wheat bread pudding. Also delicious. Good Cuban food, healthy. Sign me up.

Is this a mirage or something? You're halfway through your chocolate ricotta more than likely licking the hell outta your spoon when you start to wonder.....What gives? How can something so profoundly delicious be unequivocally healthy? Was that broccoli soup I had really just a measly 90 calories? Yep! That's the magic at Fatbusters, they are calorie-conscience. They are low-sodium and all the meat is lean. Unlike other places they know exactly what is in their stuff and won't hesitate to tell you if asked. The women here are fantastic, not only because they are informed, but they are genuinely nice. I typically shy away from the carb/fructose options like the fufu ( which is the best alternative I've found to fried sweet plantains ) because I strongly believe weight gain has a lot more to do with unused carbs more so than actual fat intake. The brown rice moro taste better than regular moro I've had in other restaurants, enough said. As for the mashed sweet potatoes, I'm not a fan. I can taste the cinnamon in them and I've never appreciated that combination. This is my go to spot when I don't feel like cooking or feel like having take-out. I don't feel guilty afterwards and I usually have left-over vaca frita for work the next day.

Staff is awesome, the food is great and healthy. Cant beat that!

Healthy Cuban food almost sounds wrong, but it is oh so very right. My coworkers invited me here for a quick lunch before a meeting. I had chicken vaca frita with brown rice and mashed sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious! The portions are the perfect size and the price was very reasonable; with a bottle of water, my bill was about $8.
(5)Veronica D.
I had been eyeing this little gem for quite some time now. I decided to pick up some dinner for me and he fam. I ordered vaca frita de pollo, turkey ropa vieja, and turkey meat balls. Everything is portioned controlled /calorie controlled and made low fat. The portions are generous and come with 2 sides dishes. The food blew me away! All the dishes are healthier versions of popular latin dishes that people love so much. YUM!
(5)Cesar Q.
This place is amazing! Think of a plate of Vaca Frita, Moros y Fufu de Platano...Now think about it if it was made healthy. And cheap! That's the type of food you'll find here. The only downfall is that they close early (6 PM). Aside from it all, the food tastes amazing! Oh, and they also have a few healthy-conscious desserts that are awesome too!
(4)Alex H.
Best healthy latin food in MIAMI hands down...!!! Their vaca frita de pollo and the brown rice congri has all the taste of the authentic one except that its LOW FAT....! Oh and the price??? For just under $8 or less you have a complete meal with just the right portions..! I highly recommend Fat Busters..!!
(5)Rebecca V.
Affordable, delicious, healthy, huge portions - all with the great Latin flavor of grandma's cooking their lentil soup and ropa vieja de pollo are my favorites!
(5)Rebecca R.
Kill me now. I'm so sad that I can't take this place with me when I return to New York next week. The fare here is absolutely delicious. The grilled chicken breast are moist and juicy, no dryness here. The mashed sweet potatoes are wonderful too. I was offered samples of the mashed yucca and mashed green plantain but that sweet potato dish is legit! Now..for the desserts. They did not have the other reviewers' beloved chocolate ricotta so I got the strawberry instead. Didn't even make it out of the parking lot. Had to go right back for a few more cups but they sold out that quickly. I settled for the vanilla (ORGASMIC!!), key lime (RIDICULOUSLY GOOD) and orange creme (grandma snatched this from us) Service is wonderful. These ladies are sweet and customer oriented. Delicious, extremely reasonably priced food. Thank you YELP! I'm a huge fan. Glad I found this spot.

Do you want healthy Cuban food?! Here's where it's at. I've been coming here for years, it's a total gem in West Miami Dade. I recommend the chicken vaca frita and fufu.
(5)Paul D.
Great clean Cuban food. I eat here whenever I'm in the neighborhood. I love this place. Cuban without the fatness. Stay lean and mean but with a yummy twist.
(5)Marcia P.
Great, great place! It is very difficult to find healthy Cuban food. Add to this the fact that Latinlite's food is delicious and you have an all around winner. I was recently in Miami and I have a serious gallbladder problem, so I can tolerate very little fat in my diet. I thought I was going to have a terrible time while I was on vacation because I wasn't going to be able to eat out. Latinlite gave me this option. Their food was healthy and delicious. They have low fat, vegetarian, sugar free and other options. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly, there is free parking and the meals will cost about $7. Definitely, pay them a visit. Make sure you go to the far end of the Intercontinental Plaza strip mall to find the restaurant.

I love this place. Ive been here plenty of times over the past few years. It is hidden in the shopping center they are located but dont be fooled. It is healthy, but tasty delicious comfort cuban food!! It is either chicken or turkey here, but they have chicken vaca frita, chicken ropa vieja, turkey picadillo, brown rice congri and turkey breast etc! They have the best Puree de Malanga, it is so soft and pureed to perfection and tastes amazing. Also, fufu or mangu how I call it, is amazing! I think they do cantinas as well. Everything is amazing here and the staff are always friendly with great service. I wish I lived closer, I will be there every day for lunch and dinner!

Ok, lets keep it real. After a strenuous workout, I needed some food. I wanted something good and healthy. I came across Latinlite and decided to check it out. Let me tell you it blew my mind!! Its the perfect place to go to if you like Hispanic food and struggle with finding a place where the plate looks like they soaked everything they made in cholesterol, fat and more fat. The food was absolutely delicious!! I had the chicken with onions, Brown rice with lentils and sweet mashed potatoes. It was probably the healthiest authentic hispanic food I have ever had. No one drop of fat was left on my plate. I was very very very pleased. Also, for dessert I ordered chocolate ricotta, which happens to pack 7 grams of protein, and it was heaven!!! The prices were very fair and the service was excellent! They even let you try it before you get it! you know a restaurant is confident about what they make if they are willing to let you try it first. The location is in this tiny shopping plaza in the middle of nowhere, and I hope they open 100 stores more like this one! I would personally frequent it a lot more often! See what happens when a costumer is extremely satisfied with your restaurant? You get 5 stars on the spot, as he still savoring that delicious food and service you provided!
(5)Mike R.
The best Latin food on the lite side! I could not believe how good the vaca frita is and how friendly the staff is. I recomend this place after a good gym workout.
(5)Noel S.
Come here whenever I get a haircut cuz it's in the same plaza. Hole in the wall. Good food and "supposedly" healthy. I wonder cuz some things are too good to be healthy. Owner is friendly and makes you feel at home.
(4)Jasmin M.
PERO WHAT??? Healthy CUBAN food? This I had to try. We told the lady it was our first time and she kept giving me free samples to try everything. I was getting full already with the samples!!! I ended up ordering the spinach soup with sweet potato mash and turkey ropa vieja. Full of flavor. Pretty amazed that they were able to pull of healthy cuban food.
(5)David C.
Amazing place!!! Great food that's very well priced and HEALTHY!! I personally eat here everyday and truly love it. The staff is very friendly and the ladies are absolutely amazing!!!
(5)Lorena B.
I just found this place through Yelp! It's the best thing it could have happened to me today. The food is very tasty and healthy. Excellent customer service. I just had lunch and I'm getting take out for tomorrow. If you are by the area do not hesitate to stop by! Buen provecho!!!
(5)Sharmi C.
Latin light is amazing! The portions, the taste of the food the desserts, the service is all fantastic to say the least. All the food is amazing, they let you taste the food to see what yu enjoy. The desserts are increadible and sugar free.
(5)Leia G.
Fantastic restaurant that's surprisingly been here for years! The ladies let us try everything on menu before we ordered and the food is all wonderful. Really, it's hard to believe it's healthy.
(5)Jonathan M.
This place is the bee's knees. Healthy dishes with a whopping of flavor. Those who work here are very kind, patient, and welcoming. After finding this place: great prices, delicious food, and packed with nutrition in, why would I ever cook at home again?! Come to think of it, I'm going to get me some right now!
(5)Daisy S.
Good food & healthy! Heres a tip go early for lunch. If you go for early dinner they dont have a lot of variety. Try the Pavochon (turkey filets) delicious! The sweet potatoe awesome!

The food is delicious for being healthy! Wow. Glad my friend told me about it... Too bad they don't deliver all the way down to my house - they would get at least 2, maybe even 4 "cantina" customers out of it.
(5)Lurdes R.
I love this place. The food is AMAZING. I ate their cantina daily throughout almost my entire pregnancy & only gained 25 lbs! It was good in flavor, filling & good for my growing son. I don't get to eat there as often as I'd like to. It really replicates the yummy unhealthy cuban food so that flavor-wise you don't miss a thing!
(5)Jesus R.
So you love Cuban food but hate wearing it on your love handles and thighs? This is your answer. Amazing and fresh traditional dishes like turkey picadillo and lenteja paired with brown rice and veggies give you the home cooked feel without the guilt and calories. They also have a weekly delivery service for those to busy to meal prep themselves. Also make sure you try their ricotta desserts.
