Comfort bar food. The burgers are made fresh and are delicious. Definitely the dish to have here. Drinks are cheap (about $2 for a beer) and it is super casual. The place is a little run down but if all you want is a comfortable place with good, classic food, this is the place to go. Oh! And the fries! They are homemade. And so awesome. I went there today and tried the mahi mahi sandwich for the first time. I am on a a bit of a diet so I was looking for something a little less caloric. (Although what I really wanted was that burger!) I was pleasantly surprised! The fish was delicious and grilled perfectly. Served on a brioche bun with tartar sauce. My new favorite dish here...just as good as having the burger.

For $8.99 for the "loaded" nachos I was astonished by the lack of love by the gloveless cook in the Miami Heat hat. The nachos reminded of the disgusting middle school cafeteria "food" I had back in the day. Let's move onto the main course.... The wings. If you fancy slimy earthwormy chicken well I would highly recommend this place. The only decent item on the menu is the water. Service was fine.

I've never been before and We decided to stop after Brew at the Zoo because we were starving. We ordered wings and nachos - only to be told that they didn't have nachos to serve. The wings came out burnt and barely edible. We left half the order. As bad as the wings were - the onion rings were amazing. We also had the conch fritters which were good and the egg rolls were also decent. The service was ok - not note worthy but not bad. I'm not sure that we will return.

I have been going to Keg South at least once a month for more than 10 years. The main reason I go is because I can get a glass of Amberbock draft beer for $1.00. OK more recently they raised the price to $1.50. But I like knowing I can have a few beers and it not cost me more than the meal. In addition to good deals on their draft beer (including $11.00 pitchers) some of the food items (like the hamburgers) are quite good. I also enjoy their chicken caesar salad. The atmosphere is "rustic" which I find adds to my overall pleasant experience. If what you want is a burger and a few beers ... keg south is a great choice.

Keg South deserves these 5 stars and then some. For a divey type restaurant & bar as some would call it, this particular location is excellent. Is it because it's 5 minutes away from my home? Is it because I've been coming here for over 10 years? Or maybe I'm simply biased because I hold very fond memories of Keg South. Perhaps, but I must let it be known Keg South is consistent with their food. And best of all, the service...service never fails. Service always with a smile and with an upbeat attitude. I love that they help out each other. It's a team effort! Therefore, making food service flow nicely even on their busiest times keeping patrons like me happy! :-D What I love... Special Grilled Wings are so incredibly addicting. They are delicious all by themselves or with a side of blue cheese. Try them yourself and you be the judge! Tuna Steak Wrap - medium rare please! with lettuce, tomatoes and wasabi sauce in a tomato basil wrap... Mmmmmm. Fresh Grilled Dolphin Sandwich - with lettuce, extra tomatoes on a toasted bun with a side of tartar sauce. Turkey Sandwich on Rye Bead - thin slices of turkey, Swiss cheese, lettuce, extra tomatoes, easy on the onions! with mayo on the side. This sandwich has always been my #1 choice. So good and very satisfying. They don't skimp out on the turkey either. And today for the first time I tried their 1/2 Lb Keg Burger cooked medium with American cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce, extra tomatoes served on brioche bread. OMG was that delicious! Very juicy and flavorful. The brioche was so fresh, it was light, flaky and very buttery. A nice change from those boring sesame seed buns. I am salivating as I'm writing my review... Five Guys who!!!??? Last but never least, the bartenders know how to serve a perfect pint of that black stuff I love so much...Guinness! Served with that thick, rich and creamy white head. Other establishments serving this legendary stout could learn a thing or two from these bartenders. Patience goes a long way! Cheers!

Best bar breakfast. Cheap and fast. Fresh homemade. Cool place to hangout with friends before the beach!

I have to start by saying I LOVE THIS PLACE! Best happy hour in town and the bartenders / owners are super friendly and always take great care of me and ALL my friends that I bring by this awesome local spot. BUT I HAD TERRIBLE SERVICE TONIGHT! My server, Shanna, was overwhelmed and slower than most (I'm also in the biz) and she may have had a lot going on which I totally understand but that's beside the point, she never came back to even check if we needed a beer or if we liked the food and after asking for the check, she left me hanging for 15 minutes and it was SO unlike the service I am used to in this place. BUT AWESOME SPOT!

How can anyone rate this place lower than 5 stars. If you are a hipster or yuppie, stay out. This is one of the best dive sports bars ever ever. The grilled dolphin sandwich was off the heazy. Decent beer selection, lots of tvs and even a pinball.

Great people, great place. Customer service is always on point. Amazing staff. The burgers are amazing!!

There is nothing to love about this place. It's a run down sports bar off of 137th Ave. it attracts like old bikers, not really a young crowd but maybe that's what they want?. It's all torn apart inside, I'm A big believer of anyone who allows their front of the house and bathrooms to get that torn apart/dirty must have a disgusting back of the house/kitchen. All their food is just frozen food out of a box. I tried both the fried wings and the grilled wings, the fried wings was obviously just like Tyson wings fried with no seasoning and the "grilled" wings tasted like gooey microwaved chicken. If you order wings no dressing is included, you have to pay extra for Cesar or blue cheese. The beer specials were "okay", $8 for a pitcher of miller lite is the happy hour deal, nothing to rave about. On the plus side they did give me a frozen mug and our blonde waitress was very sweet.

  • Aline D.

Expired, disgusting food combined with rude, condescending service from management, particularly Robert, who doesn't understand the basics of customer service. They are prepping frozen, raw chicken wings from Tyson behind the bar, in full view of customers. They would fail ANY basic health inspection. After getting expired grouper fingers and misshapen, grisly wings, we tried to return the food and get out of there asap. Robert, the manager, came over and started explaining away and excusing the inexcusable - saying that the wings are from Tyson frozen and just deal with it. He then said, "but you WILL pay for the beer because you had it." We ordered a pitcher and it was still half full. He was so angry and unprofessional, a real failure as a manager and as a person. We go to the Keg South location by Pinecrest on US1 all the time but will NEVER come back here. Apparently, this location is not even affiliated with the others and just steals the menu items and the feel of the other locations without any ability to execute or care for the customers. Horrible experience in every way. Stay away!!

  • Steve B.

The place is your typical bar, service is always friendly and the food is pretty darn good. The beer selection isn't extensive but they do have nice cold beers on tap. It's not a huge location but if you want to take it easy and watch a game or just kick back and have some beers and eat some good food this is a perfect spot.

Calling out all fellow Yelpers to try Keg South. They have great prices and always a nice special deal. Packed and full of TVs to catch your favorite game. This place does get packed on game nights so prepare to come early. A very family friendly area with pool tables all over and a jukebox to play your favorite tunes. I usually come here for the wings because they are fantastic. The prices are reasonable for these delicious tasting wings and the French fries are amazing. Keg south is located on 137th right before london square behind the gas station. Come and enjoy the wings and have a good time!

This was a good experience overall. No liquor, so beer and wine only but for lunch it was great. Good Food, OK Service. There was a football game on so the servers came around just often enough between plays. Great job

Great food. Great prices. Excellent service - the last couple of times we have been here we get Jessica! She is awesome :) We also love that it is close to home. Last visit, we had the conch fritters and were surprisingly amazing. Fried wings are excellent and crispy to our liking. My daughter had the fried cheese sticks also very good. Since we are very indecisive and eat with our minds, we also ordered cocktail shrimp and a burger with cheddar cheese - also very good Overall the place is great... Good for family gatherings, catching up with friends, and even just for a quick date night. My daughter was bit jealous we didn't take her with us She's a wing lover.

Great Local bar with that local bar feeling. All the food is great. Wings and Burgers are my tops! The burgers are just awesome with a Amberbock. Also if your just looking for something to munch on while you watch the game and drink some beers, or on Happy Hour, I always start with the Smoked Fish Dip

  • Ivan D.

A very nice small bar with delicious food and a good beer selection. Plenty of billiard tables for those that like to have some fun. The 3/4 burger was excellent and cooked to expectation. And if you are a fan of Amber Bach, its only $1.80.

  • Andrea A.

For whatever reason, it slips my mind that this joint is like 3 minutes from me. For he life of me, I don't know why. The place is comfortable, the servers are super attentive and personable, and the food is good! Plus they have tons I specials and event without those, the prices are better than reasonable. I have a friend that swears by the wings- I think they're pretty good, but I honestly like sports grill a little better. Top two ain't bad. They do have absolutely delicious burgers. If you're in the area, check it out!

    (4)
  • Sabryna L.

Really great wings and fries, definately get the special wings mild. Its a great casual place just to hang out, and if you want to bring kids that is completely fine to, just do so for lunch (I definately see alot of families coming in for lunch as opposed to night time). The fries are so good because after a while, the fries get a little more soggy and oily...yum!!

Very cool spot. They have a lot of draft beer options and a good happy hour. The best thing is you can always get an Amber Bock for less than $2! I love the Mahi Dolphin Sandwich here. Very friendly but noisy atmosphere (Lots of larger groups). There are pool tables and pin ball machines. Outdoor seating as well. Will be back many more times.

Keg South has a decent menu for a sports bar tucked away, off the beaten path. The grilled wings are always a hit with the family as are the cheeseburger and fish tacos. There's usually a crowd for lunch on the weekends but getting a table doesn't take long. The beer is always cold the servers are always friendly. You know you are consistently going to get a good meal. My only real gripe with the Keg South is the Potato chip's that come with burgers and sandwiches. You can have fries but they come at an up charge. The chips are really soggy and the fries aren't that great either. Other than that, we've had just about everything on the menu and really haven't been disappointed. My wish would be that they would move to a crinkle cut fry, even if they bought them at Publix in a bag. Definitely a place we go to a lot and will continue to; fingers crossed for better fries!

I am addicted to the burgers here. They are amazing. I catch myself thinking about them all the time.

Friendly tavern around the corner from where I live. Young children are usually present inside. It's a good atmosphere and friendly people. A little bit divey.

$1.80 Amberboch. That's it. Every reason why I'll be back. Keg burger is nice! Wings are great!

Special grilled wings are a must. I was pleasantly surprised they had Goose Island 312 on tap. Just your nice little sports bar in Kendall with great TVs and above decent, but not handcrafted, bar food. Very nice staff too. SPECIAL GRILLED WINGS BRO -TPK

We eat here about 2-3 a week! My husband loves this spot because it's close to home and everyone is welcoming. The burgers, wings and fries are great and the prices are awesome as well. You must try the chicken salad wrap, scallops wrapped in bacon and onion rings.

I couldn't be happier to have went here for lunch today. The waitress was swift and sweet, always making sure our drinks were filled and she even had the WHOLE RESTAURANT sing happy birthday to my boyfriend. The food was delicious, we had a steak sandwich, a turkey Rachel, and queso frito. Its less than a mile from our office. This place will definitely be on our lunch rotation. Not to mention - in and out within 45 minutes, & super great prices!

Even though I live extremely close, I've always heard but never have been to this place. Apparently it's been here in Kendall forever and I can believe it! Beer is quite cheap here. Had AmberBock here for $1.80 which I think could be all the time? but don't quote me on that one! Their wings are decent, I prefer ale house or sport grill wings compared to here. I do really enjoy their burgers though! They are very juicy and flavorful and I definitely recommend their turkey burgers. If you know me by now.. Turkey burgers are my way of life. Anyways, come in and check it out. Service is good, pool tables are always bein played and the crowd is extremely eclectic. You'll find all sorts of people here

This place is close to my office so my coworkers and I stopped her to watch a soccer game. The service was great I'll have to come back.

Standard family friendly sports bar. Quarter pool tables, pinball and racing game arcade machines. The beer is cheap and the food is fried. TVs everywhere if you're looking to watch a game.

Oh and the burger is amazing ! Best I've had. Juicy and tastes natural. Suggest you go for the burgers !

Today's visit to Keg South was a spur of the moment situation. I was craving burgers and wings and wanted to be surprised with great ones. I used to come here very often some years ago, then remembered why I stopped coming after trying my first chicken wing tonight. The wings had a great taste to them, but were chewy. That's not exactly how I like my wings. Plus I don't think they are supposed to be chewy . As for my burger.... Hmmm, it smelled funny..and it wasn't the cheese. It was kind of dripping in grease also. It kind of turned me off then really remembered why I stopped coming here. The service has always been great and the prices are reasonable , but perhaps there is a new cook in that kitchen that needs to reconsider his/her cooking abilities. This place was really good once upon a time, but lately it's gone bad. I give it 3 stars only because the service is great. I'll stick to my regular spot for wings and burgers from now on. No more cheating so that I don't get such a SURPRISE

It's a pretty chill place to watch sports and drink. Their specials are pretty good for drinks. We came to watch the World Cup.

Stopped in for dinner this past Friday and had a very good dinner. I had the grouper sandwich and it was prepared perfectly. Beers are cold and the prices are good, I'll be back.

If you're craving a burger, go to Keg South. OMG their burgers are so tasty and juicy. I'm a really picky eater, especially when it comes to burgers, and this is up there on my top list of burgers. They also have delicious Wings, and their chicken wrap is pretty good as well. I've only been there during the day for lunch, but I hear this place gets packed and is very entertaining. I'm looking forward to going back soon.

First time and last time eating at Keg South Kendall. Don't know why this place has 3.5 stars. Doesn't even deserve 1 star. I understand its a dive bar but it doesn't mean that the food should be crap. Let's begin. My girlfriend has the big bleu burger. I had the 3/4 keg burger. We also shared a conch fritter appetizer. My girlfriend was not able to even have a bite of her burger. The bleu cheese spread smelled rotten and looked past its expiration date. She decided to throw the entire burger away. My burger looked sloppy and unappetizing. The lettuce was old and brown. Had to remove it. I ordered the meat medium, it was made well done. It had no seasoning and tasted like nothing. The fries that came with the burgers were taste less. They were over cooked. They were probably fried in old frying oil. No salt. McDonalds fries are 100 times better. The conch fritters were chewy and over cooked as well. I've had conch fritters hundreds of times and this is the worst I have had to date. I wonder how the kitchen and walk in freezer look like. One of the worst meals I've had. Take my advice, please do not go to keg south. Hundreds of other places that serve really excellent burgers and fries.

This place is not a family place at all drunk druggies hanging out in and outside of this place. Managment seems to encourage this atmosphere.

  • Mike M.

Great food!! Haven't had any thing bad. The queso frito (fried cheese) is a veil good appetizer. Wings and burgers are great. They also got pool tables.

We stopped in for breakfast. Very basic offerings, but adequate, steak and eggs, omelettes, etc. We told the server we were using a Groupon, she said 'love Groupon'. She gave us a couple of minutes and brought us coffee. We ordered Steak and Eggs and Western Omelette, both with home fries and toast. The griddle is in full view. Our coffee was refreshed often while we waited for our meals. Our plates looked great and were full. Generous portions. It was fantastic. We mentioned how awesome it was to our server, she said the chef is new. We like the way he cooks!! There were several servers buzzing around prepping for the day, everyone was cheery and friendly. You can tell that they offer breakfast because they are all in there anyway, so why not? But they do a great job. It's an industrial type area near Tamiami airport, so I think that might hurt their morning traffic. We looked at the regular menu and it's pretty extensive...even has sushi. We had heard about the burgers, so next time we stop in it will be for that. We had a great experience and are looking forward to going back soon.

I love this place food is great! But last night I came here with a coworker and my boyfriend to have a couple of beers. We were only there for an hour and the server Emily if I wasn't mistaken ask if we wanted anything else and we where making a decision and she's goes "because I'm trying to leave" wait what?!? How rude! I am a server myself but I would never tell my customer that!!!!!! When you serve a customer you make sure you brown nose everything! Thats how you make your money base on tips! she was just rude from the beginning. Coworker ask for a beer and she said okay and went to smoke a cigarette wooow!!! We ask for separate checks charge both of us wrong! I won't stop coming back cause the other server is always been good beers are cheap and food is great, just I know for the next time to ask for a different server because the other ones won't rush us, ignore us, or charge us wrong !

  • Jennette P.

Many years ago this place was great! However, this time the service was horrible!! Not enough staff to keep up with the volume.. All of our orders came out 10-15 min apart.. A bit ridiculous.. The fries weren't yummy with more of a stale taste. The burger I ordered didn't have much flavor either. Loaded Nachos are always good & have yet to disappoint. Quesadillas were good too. So I would suggest just going for some beers, appetizers, & with some patience

    (2)
  • Vanessa S.

Crispy salty fried pieces of potatoes - they are my weakness! That being said Keg South is heaven on earth when it comes to fries! This comfy dive is a great place to grab a greasy bite, watch a game or just hang back and drink a few beers. I cannot wait to become a regular here and sample everything on the menu as it all sounds super tasty! I highly recommend their fried cheese, it was like no other fried cheese concoction I have ever had - imagine the texture of a Greek saganaki with a light coating around it... wow... I need a minute.... ..... .... ... Ok, sorry *clears throat* I'm back. Yea, so, check out Keg South, you may find me there, elbow deep in some cheese.

Yeah, I get it.... bars aren't necessarily known for the customer service. But man, do they really take that to heart here. The food is about as typical as it can get for a bar setting. So there goes our food review. Now, about the customer service. I came here with a group of people and we paid our check on card but we intended on tipping our waitress in cash. On the receipt's tip line, we drew a line because, ya know, we were going to leave it cash. Apparently this irked our waitress to the point that when she came to our table and saw this empty line, her jaw dropped and she said, verbatim "Are you serious?! No tip?!" Our jaws dropped equally as far. Honey, tips come in many forms. You were going to get a gracious tip for serving the group but after that, sorry. Nope, none. I have worked for tips and I totally understand the crucial nature of them, but please...do not feel entitled and try to use your brain. What was going to be a nice hefty one turned into zero because of her attitude and for putting us all on the spot. We hadn't even left the table or made a motion of leaving before she discredited our behavior. Anyways, yeah. Never went back and never going back.

  • Alejandra A.

It's small, it's a little beat up, it's in the middle of a bunch of warehouses BUT those fries are totally worth it! They always have specials on different beers, and you can't beat the big ass TVs to watch your favorite sports. Which I totally did back when the world cup came around...since it was close to my house and they actually opened early to show some of the games. The staff is super nice, the food kicks butt..and well with a cold beer in hand...who cares if the ceiling looks like it's had its day.

This place is a Kendall staple I remember going since i was 15 years old and the word that i can use with great confidence is "Consistency" Man I love the Ice cold beers in frosty mugs that I'm served here and the always great 1/2 pound keg burger. Best Dive in Kendall. In my recent years (approaching 30 soon) I'm making better choices with what I'm putting in my body and they deliver with a spicy grilled chicken wrap and lightly sauced coleslaw. I also can't leave out the service they are super attentive in a non annoying way. SO if you're every in the mood for a great sports dive with low priced pitchers of beer in frosty mugs remember KEG SOUTH!!

Omg the wings here are the best I have ever tried!! Great place to hang out with friends great to watch sports they even have a pool table love this place have been going there for years

I'm a big fan of Keg South in Kendall. This is the go to spot for my friends and I on Sunday nights. The atmosphere is very chill, it never gets too packed, and the staff is nice. They have 3-4 tvs and two pool tables. It's a family friendly place to go to relax, hang out, and eat good food. My go to meal is the queso frito and either the wings on the grill or the porterhouse, draining that down with $1.25 amber bock. Their wings are my favorite, ten grilled wings basted with a spicy bbq sauce. The queso frito is my guilty pleasure. It simply is fried cheese that you dip it in marinara sauce. Come here if you want to relax with friends and unwind with a glass of amber bock on one hand, wings on the other, while watching football. You won't be disappointed.

What can I say about this place? I had heard about Keg South for quite awhile and finally went in with a couple of friends. While I was expecting a hole in the wall, it wasn't necessarily that. There are plenty of booths, tables, and seats at the bar like any good sports bar. It's the people that you see here that through me off a bit. First thing I noticed when I walked in was the kids playing at the few arcade games near the front. Was definitely not expecting kids. "Ok" moving on. We get seated right away at one of the large tables and the people watching begins. You got a whole assortment of folks here. The families that bring the kids out to the local sports bar for Friday dinner, the 50-something year old, Hawaiian shirt wearing guy by the bar giving hugs and kisses to all his friends, the old drunks near the entrance, the random teenagers occupying the pool tables, and the couple dressed like they're out for a very special occasion.Oh, and last, but certainly not least, our server. Nice guy, but definitely a few loose screws in this one, haha. Like I said, definite people watching location. Now for the important stuff. Beer selection is pretty decent, and can't really complain about the prices. No liquor though, if that's what you're looking for. I had the BBQ pork sandwich with chips, which was pretty good. My buddy swore by his fish tacos. The only real complaint were the fries my girlfriend had. Soggy and all around shitty. Not a bad place. Maybe I'll come back someday.

Keg South is one of those places that is a live due to continued business and word of mouth. It is tucked away behind a gas station if you are on 137th across Tamiami Aiport. The building is just a rectangular structure with no noticeable decor. Instead, every time you drive by all you see is parked cars on the lot. Once you step inside you will see a crowd of people enjoying their food and drinks. The service is adequate and polite. I've gone in there a handful of times to order their 3/4 lb. burger with bacon and cheese. The burger is big and tasty and they give you a large amount of fries. The fries taste as if peeled by them rather than store bought. The prices aren't too bad either. They have $1.25 amber bock and other daily specials. Overall, a great place to hang out and view the game (s) on their multiple large screens.

What can I say.... cheap food and alcohol, TVs all over, pool tables, jamming juke box, great location, and good service. I always order either the cheese burger or the wings (still favorite wings are from sports grill ). One regular burger is enough to split between my too little chickens so it works out great. Best part about this place???? you can be loud!!! lol. Perfect place for you and your hommies to lay back , play some pool, and drown your faces in pitchers of beer. Love the fact that I can just show up in shorts, jeans , thights, chanqluetas or whatever piece of "i don't feel like getting dressed clothing" I can find. While my husband and I are eating the little ones can play with the game machines in front of the restaurant and it's close enough to watch them from wherever we sit. The only thing I am not too happy with isthe dessert. They have to get better , personally I don't think it's the best selection. Also the food comes with potato chips on the side hummmm I prefer french fries like most restaurants have, and not have to order them separate. Keg South is my go to place specially for those days that we don't feel like cooking (wait that's most of the time shhh lol). I totally recommend it!!!

If you like Dives, this place is for you. It's a typical sports bar with some good, good burgers AND wings!! We had a couple of beers too and they were all tasty. The service was good. The crowd was kind-of scary but hey, you're dining in a dive. If you're just looking for a cheap, decent meal and a chill place to watch the game or something, this place is for you. I like!

Great food, best fries in Miami, and very wallet friendly priced beer. You won't spend a ton of money and you'll still get a lot of great food. When I'm in the area, I love coming in for some food. The conch fritters are the absolute best in Miami

I have been planning this review for a few years now. Its not like I have much to say except that I love to come to this dark little biker bar/restaurant. They serve up some of the best burgers and fries in Kendall. The beer prices are very fair and they have a huge selection on tap! I like to come here with the guys and throw back a couple of pitchers while playing a round of pool.

We thought we were lost but we saw it finally amongst the warehouses and gas stations. When we pulled into the parking lot I thought I would hate it but I really didn't. A couple pool tables, a juke box, several TVs and a cute little bar.... I could see myself throwing a couple back here on a regular basis. Our waitress was a little ditzy and wasn't too comfortable with the menu. I had a burger (yum). There really isn't much we didn't like about our meal. The prices were good and the quality was pretty good too. The drink specials were great. We will definitely make the effort to go back.

i only go around 3pm on weekdays so my review might not be all that helpful. Of all the keg souths i have been to this is probably the last one i would want to go to to "hang out" (i hang out at the one on us1 by 104) but despite of all that jazz, their tuna steak wrap is something that makes my mouth water for days! if you have not tried it make sure to do so in the near future, i know its the last place you want to be seen eating something healthy but it tastes so good you feel like your having something sinful. Now it might be i have it after rock climbing and I'm starving after climbing up all the walls, but still its soo good. so if you can keep a straight face when your servers tell you they are "not good with words" when you ask them simple questions like "wheres the bathroom?" (well it wasn't that ridiculous but it was very close) then def pass by and try this place out! (and as much as that was a highlight of one of our visits i would like to add the service is always very nice)

It depends. I have been coming here for 15 years. The food is great but you may have inconsistent service.

Great little neighborhood dive! This is the kinda place you go to hang out, have some good bar food and down some brews. If your looking for a trendy or modern looking place with a daring or haute cuisine menu, go somewhere else. This place is a bar and it makes no excuses for it nor should it. I enjoy the family atmosphere, the pool tables and dark feel to it. Plenty of TVs to watch the game and no shortage of patrons to share it with. Love it!

Offbeat location but once you found it, you'll be coming back! Excellent beer selections from the tap. Great pub food (especially the burgers). They also have some steak and ribs selections for a more hearty meal. The staff is friendly and efficient. Tons of TVs to watch the sporting events. Even a pool table and internet juke box. The prices are very reasonable and they have drink specials all the time. Really no better place for a quick burger at lunch or an evening of suds and sports.

Keg South is without a doubt one of the better watering holes in South Florida, they have excellent food at an excellent prices and a very good variety of beers. Keg South could best be described as a family sports style bar/restaurant; they definitely cater to a large audience that encompasses different needs: If you want to take the family out to a sports style themed restaurant, go to Keg South. If you want to sit at a bar and watch the game on several big screen TV's, go to Keg South. If you want to play some pool in a lively and boisterous atmosphere, go to Keg South. If you want a friendly mixture of locals, families, young adults and some friendly barflys, go to Keg South. If you want friendly and attentive service while you do all of the aforementioned, go to Keg South. The fact of the matter is that Keg South is suitable for pretty much anybody and that's the magic of Keg South, it's not to "rough around the edges" to be a gritty bar and it's not to wholesome to be a family restaurant on the contrary, if you do go on a weekend, prepare to speak louder than usual as you enjoy your pitcher. It is due to this mystique that Keg South stands out so much, I've personally never been to any establishment that does what Keg South does so well, by combining both bar life and family life, Keg South is sure to please anyone regarless of their tastes.

Keg South is a quaint, family friendly, wood paneled sports bar. No tables, only booths, cute waitresses. Great selection of beers on tap. Me & my sons ate there every day the World Cup was on. THE BURGERS ARE THE BEST IN TOWN!!! The prices are on point, too. 2 burgers, a draft beer, and a soda, less than $15, that's almost on par with Mickey D's or 5 Guys prices, but for a more superior burger. Try it. It's a sports bar, so if you think you are going to get a booth during major sporting events, think again, as it gets PACKED.

I've been here a few times for an early dinner, and they definitely deliver good bar food and great burgers. Oh yeah, and best of all, cheap beer. I can't remember the beer selection on my past visits but this last time I was there, I noticed they had a pretty decent selection of craft beers on tap which is a plus. What actually prompted me to write a review about an otherwise solid but average sports/dive bar was our experience last night...we decided to head to The Keg to watch the playoffs. We got there before the game started and all the tables were already taken...we actually didn't get to sit down and eat till after halftime which would normally really annoy me BUT...the staff was AWESOME...the waitress kept the beer coming while we waited on the side, and the guy who was taking care of the seating was doing an awesome job of making sure empty tables were seated first come first serve, and once we realized we may not get an actual table, he made sure we were able to get a seat at the bar as soon as one opened. The place was packed and crazy busy, but the waitresses and bartenders were on point, friendly and professional. Once we did get to order food, it came out quick and my burger was perfectly cooked to order. We will definitely be giving The Keg more of our business in the future.

I love the cheeseburgers, onion rings, and fries at KS! The atmosphere is more for adults though, so bringing kids here might not be the best idea. Either way you get awesome food :)

Keg South of KENDALL!! This place is great, it has good food, and the staff is the best. (tito) they got a jukebox, and btw they have fried, grilled AND special grilled wings. They have frozen mugs and pretty good assortment of beeeeeeer. Try the eggrolls. good party environment on fri nights.

The location is odd and very far from central Miami but the burger is fantastic. It's plain and simple and I really wish there was one closer to me. Whenever I go to stripmall land I always try to make it here to get a yummy burger.

Waitress rudely denied serving me a beer because she claimed my ID was fake because of some "errors" in my drivers license number. Went to the DMV the next available day and the said she was full of crap. She was very accusational and had a bad attitude.

Not sure how I've lived by it for so many years and never made it out to Keg South until now (even though I had always heard good things about it). The place is actually pretty small once you walk in though it has alot of tables (booths), tv's and a few pool tables. Some coworkers and I decided to go there after work for some food and drinks last week. We ordered their fries, chili cheese fries, grilled wings and sliders. All the food was pretty much what I had expected...the fries were fast food soggy & salty (like I like them), the chili cheese fries actually surprised me....they had alot of chili on them as well as cheese. I didn't try the sliders, but those who did enjoyed them. We all thought the wings were okay.....nothing really comes even close to Sports Grill wings which are phenomenal. Next time, I'll try the burger here since everyone seems to enjoy it very much.

This place is pretty good. I went hear twice with a friend because she talks about this place a lot, so I decided to join her. It's okay. All the other reviews have been on point, but I don't think the food was that good compared to how people have been talking about it. It was decent. I have had better service and food.

Ironically enough, just a few days after visiting the Keg South in Pinecrest I visited this one as well... This one is a much larger establishment vs the other. Having more space it has the addition of pool tables and video games, along with more seating. First I'll mention the service was excellent. Our waitress was on point with making sure that our needs were taken care of. So point for that. The food was alright. I can't say it was bad cause it truly wasn't but I must say it wasn't amazing. I had the wings again, same thing I ordered when I went to the other Keg South (Pinecrest). I was in no way disappointed and I will definitely visit this establishment again. Next time I will venture to try something else though.

I will occasionally make a 14 mile drive, there and back, when I am craving their wings and fries...and I never have a problem finding someone to make the trek with. That's all I have to say about that.

Nice sports bar to hangout. They have two pool tables and a couple of pinball machines. Plenty of TVs all around. Great wings and very cold beer.

I never been to any other Keg Souths, but this one's great. Tons of TVs with Sports on, pool tables and pinball machines. Great burgers, sandwiches, cheap beer. What else could you want? The weird location just adds to the whole thing. ONLY thing is, it's cold in there. Bring a sweater or what have you. GO GATORS!

First time here, it's your typical local bar I had their special grilled wings and they were pretty good the service was so so. There are TVs all over the place so to watch a game it's great I would definitely come back here again

Wings at pretty good & the burger is one of the best. Can be a little loud sometimes, but it a little dive sports bar.

Best wings in miami. Seriously. Good luck finding grilled wings better than these!

  • Jorge B.

Everybody talks about the burgers.. well, I am going to give them 5 stars on the wings... They offer them fried and grilled. The grilled ones are TO DIE FOR. The hot sauce on the table are the best complement ever!! Fries are very good as well. The place is a little bit run down and tired, but, heck, I am going there for the wings... nothing else!!!

  • Andrea P.

I came here because I read a lot of reviews saying this was the "best" burger lot of people had. If this is the best burger you've had than you need to get out more, seriously. The burger was mediocre. The wings however where good specially the fried ones they were way better than the grilled ones. The spinach dip was whatever. The ambiance is real chill, its a real cozy spot. At first when I walked in the waitress was very nice, a little slow and I had to remind her of a couple things she missed, but nothing major. After we got our food I guess she thought she already earned her tip so she completely forgot about us. We ordered 3 cups of water and it took her 15 minuted to bring it and she walked by our table like 6 times and avoided all eye contact with us. Then we asked her for the check and it took her another 10 minutes. I understand if it was busy but it wasn't. I used to come here a lot years ago and there was a couple times when we came with a party of over 6 people and they added stuff we didn't order to the bill. That's why we stopped coming I decided to come back because of the reviews but I regret it. The food is not that good to deal with the poor service.

Cheap beer. two pool tables and bench style seating. Keg south is a typical sports bar, not too bad but nothing great about it. They have some outdoor seating for smokers. If your in the area I would check it out. It compares to the "Sports Bar" chains.

In my attempt to find the best burgers Miami has offer, I ended up at the The Keg South of Kendall. Which is neatly hidden behind a gas station across from The Tamiami Airport. Its cool little place with a full bar including pool table and restaurant. Seat yourself kind of place. I of course ordered the cheese burger. It was good (better then anything I found in Miami so far) but I don't know if i call it the best. The fries were very good. I will visit again especially since it so close to my part of town. Its good food at a great price The staff was super friendly and very efficient. Especially with the number of people that walked in around lunch hour . Its one of those places that makes you feel welcome and that if you go there 2 or 3 times they already know who you are. I had a cheeseburger (which came with fries) And a water I gave the waitress a 25 % tip and it was $10 bucks total

It's just fine for what it is. It's a bar with pretty good food that is family friendly. At least the music wasn't blaringly loud (that's worth a whole star to me). Beers did seem a little expensive, unless you drinking what's on special.

I don't understand how this place can serve some items that make competition for best ever and other items that are easily forgettable and other items that are not good at all. Let me start of with the great. I love the burgers here. They might actually be one of the best burgers I've ever had. I love the 3/4 lb burger with cheese but I kind of wish it was served with fries instead of chips. Anyway, for the decent items, I've tried some sandwiches like the cheesesteak and for the sub par there are the chicken wings. Not that they're bad or anything but they can be so much better. But maybe I'm just spoiled by sports grill. The service is not too great either. I understand that this is a bar but the service has to be good at any establishment or people will not go. The ambience is really cool. They have many tvs for the sports fans and pool tables for people just going to hang out. They have a jukebox with a good music selection and everyone is just there to have fun. If I was just rating the burger, I would give this place a 5. Hopefully, everything else here can be brought up to the level of its perfection.

I have been coming to this bar for a long time now. I think that I used to like it more before it started to get so packed. I know that this is a family bar but way to many kids are coming here and for that reason I don't like coming too much. The wait is way too long, but now they have outside seating. The food is great! I highly recommend their plain chiken wings. Their queso frito is to die for! Great prices in beer. I do think that they could improve on their service though. Some of the girls are slow and have a little of an attitude problem. I just wish that keg south remained a little more quaint like in the old days.

I LOVE KEG SOUTH!! I've been going to this place since I was a kid. Keg South is a sports bar environment with some of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. I've introduced countless people to this place and everyone loves it and always comes back for more. I've had just about everything on the menu and it's all delicious. Their chicken wings are grilled, not fried, and amazing. I've never had a better fish spread anywhere. Please do yourself a favor and go to Keg South...right now....and I don't even know what you're doing reading the rest of this review. GO! NOW!

Keg South removed their best item from the menu (baked ham pinini). This place used to be really good, but has done way down hill after changing management....

MEhhhhh, I go cause it is the closest bar to my house. Wings are average and bar staff is SLOW! I always wait and wait in this place. Believe it or not the burgers are outtrageous and the fries are fresh cut. The wife loves the steak tidbits

This is much more of a family restaurant that their location on S. Dixie Highway. The burgers and fries are great, the service is great and parking is not a problem.

Keg South is great and another staple. It used to be out in the middle of nowhere and Kendall has grown up around it. I've never had a bad meal here and their philly cheesesteak is delish. Fries are excellenet. Cold beer yummers. TVs so you can watch the game - a great place to meet up with friends. Go here!

started coming here cause they were/are? a part of american airlines advantage program. lunch was always good. i usually got the lunch special (burger and fries). i think it was $5. one of the cheapest places to eat lunch in kendall. and i'd take keg south over fast food any day. i'm not sure why they get such rave reviews on other sites. and i've heard on numerous occasions that they have the best burgers in miami... but i think they're far from it. even won "best burger 2007" on citysearch. wtf??!! is their burger different for dinner or something?? it's just a decent local bar with decent prices and decent food. 3 stars for being decent.
