This is the restaurant on the ground floor inside the Colonnade building that services the Westin. I had never eaten here despite having worked in the building for a number of years, so yesterday a couple co-workers and I decided to give them a try. The prices were high but we expected that as the restaurant is usually empty, but they have stayed in business for some time. The assumption was that most of their business is room service for the hotel and the dishes were priced about right for room service food. When we went down to pick up our orders we discovered that they charge an extra 18% service charge on top of the listed prices, I know a lot of hotel restaurants do this but it seemed like a bit of a gouge seeing as how we just wanted to carry-out a sandwich. We split a order of hummus between the three of us and each of us got a sandwich. My bill was $17 and I got a spoonful of hummus and a quarter of a pita. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular. On another note, why they categorize themselves as Latin American fair is beyond me. Needless to say, they got my business once but they won't have it again.
