Brand new on the 2nd floor of Bayside's notorious food court...Gustos Pizza and Subs! close to the entrance of the Knife, this pizza and sub place stands out as being one of the more noticeably cleaner looking food kiosks in the food court (not too hard a task if you just opened) I had a slice of cheese pizza and a calzone. The staff was pretty unorganized, but otherwise very friendly. The prices weren't horrible, $3.50 for the slice of cheese and $4.59 for the calzone....unfortunately he gave me the wrong calzone, i ordered cheese and pepperoni only, i got sausage and onions as well...still a decent tasting medium sized calzone. The pizza was ok, the sauce kinda bland, the cheese almost completely unnoticeable and tasteless, the crust was pretty good (similar to Rey's Cuban pizza), overall an average slice. Not a spectacular new edition to the food court, but its nice to see another pizza place that can offer competition to the overpriced pizza rustica wannabe on the first floor facing the bay.

Normally when I am hanging out at Bayside I never dine here because most of the restaurants are not very good. I was really hungry one day as I was shopping and I happened to see this place handing out free samples. Yes, it was like being in a food court or Costco with free samples. They were passing out pizza samples. I did not try the pizza sample but it looked good enough to make me stop and take a look at the menu. They are located on the second floor in the food court. They have pizza, sandwiches and fries. I opted for a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and fries. They make it fresh in front of you on a grilled hoagie. My sandwich came with peppers, onions, steak, cheese, and mushrooms which is exactly how I like it. The sandwich was very good, meat was tender thin slices with excellent flavor and all of the ingredients tasted very fresh. Fries were decent. Glad I stopped here for lunch because I would so go back for that sandwich again or maybe even check out their pizza. Prices average for area and in the mall, service was OK.

Who puts gobs of mayo on a Philly Cheesesteak? Bread, steak, onions and cheese. That's it. Poor.

After walking around Bayside on Friday night I was in search of food.... Went around in circles on the second floor of Bayside's Marketplace, passed Gustos twice until I finally chose it. Thought $4 for one slice was a bit excessive but hey.... what can you do?! It was good. Greasy and everything I shouldn't have but definitely wanted. I was eyeing the Philly Cheesteak and really wanted one but alas, I shall save it for my next adventure at Bayside.

I went to Gustos Pizza and Subs and ordered a hot dog. The lady at the register seemed unsure that they even sold hotdogs. But they do..... cause it says it on the big menu wall..... right under the pizza.. and subs. At this point I wasn't sure if I should've ordered the hot dog. Anyway, it cost me about 3 bucks for the plain dog on a bun. But there was a nice gallon of ketchup and mustard on the side if I wanted to make it taste NON plain. It was alright. I blame myself for not ordering something they specialize in.

It was Saturday night when I was out at Bayside with my family. We were trying to decide where to eat as we walked around the food court. Then we came across Gustos Pizza and Subs where we were offered to try a sample of their pizza & sub. Omg.....suddenly for a moment we thought we were in New York eating our favorite pizza. The Philly sub had onions, mayo, cheese on a cuban like bread. Simple but very tasty. From one moment to the next as I waited for my order, (I guess news traveled fast ) because I got lost in the crowd of people trying to order too.... I skipped in front and waved at the lady Hello you forgot my order obviously because everyone else that ordered after me, got theres and left....... Anyways atleast she recognized me among the crowd...It was definitely good pizza especially at a food court :o)

Ah Bayside pizza place at the food court. The pizza was surprisingly good for mall food and the sizes were not bad. They have a bunch of food/drink combos for fairly cheap. I was attracted to the name "Gustos" from the movie CB4, made me chuckle. I would put this place over most the other stuff in the food court here.
