I was in the mood for Mexican and my boyfriend told me that there is a small Mexican Restaurant near the Falls (where he lives). The last Mexican restaurant that we went to was in Homestead. So I said, "why haven't you told me about this before? Let's go." However, I researched the restaurant's website and also reviews from my fellow yelpers. Tucked away and located next to a small strip of shops and just a couple of blocks from the Falls was Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant. This is no fancy Mexican restaurant. However, this is a nice, small, homey restaurant where if you a lucky enough you can find parking in the small lot of the restaurant or conveniently park across in the Macy's Home store. After we got our movie tickets, we rushed away from the Falls and headed to the restaurant. We were lucky to find a good spot in the parking lot and after we were greeted immediately, we even found a good table to sit. Afterwards the parking lot got full and people had to wait for a table. The ambiance is good as it had some music and a TV but the noise from the patrons were louder. However, we already knew what to expect. Now to the food part: The complimentary homemade chips and salsa were so delicious. The salsa had a little kick to it which we liked. We were going to order an appetizer but after I asked how were the portions, our waitress stated they were big. Therefore, we desisted on ordering it and went right to order our entrees. The chips and salsa were our appetizers and our waitress brought extra salsa when it ran out. What caught my eye to order was the Mexican plate which had a little bit of Mexico: a taco, enchilada and a flauta with shredded beef on all of them. However you can order it with ground beef or seasoned chicken. I quenched it down with a Senoral Sangria which is a non-alchoholic sangria. It was tasty and fruity. I wasn't in the mood for an alcoholic drink and it made me feel that I was having one without the buzz afterwards. LOL! My boyfriend ordered the Chimichanga, Another favorite from the menu: a large flour tortilla folded with your choice of shredded or ground beef or seasoned chicken, quick fried and smothered with our blend of ranchera sauce and Monterrey Jack cheese. Served with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. He chose the ground beef. It wasn't too long that the entrees came to our table; about 7 minutes. Yes, they were big plates and thank goodness we did not order the appetizers. My enchilada, flauta and taco were all hot and tender. The entree came with refried beans and rice. They were good but nothing out of this world that I could cry home about. You could tell it was very homemade. My boyfriend's chimichanga was also big and he stated it was also delicious. Definitely we are coming back for more. Maybe next time we will order appetizers instead of entrees for a change but great dinner after all!!

This place is not as bad as I expected it to be, but not as good as it should be. The hand pressed corn tortillas were the best thing about this place, I actually thought they were pretty authentic but dry. The salsa and chips left a little bit to be desired; overall the experience wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I enjoyed the tacos al pastor I had ,but the seasoning was just mediocre and not as spicy as I like . Overall okay place, but I've been to much better Mexican restaurants here in Miami .

I've been to hundreds of Mexican restaurants all over Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. This is one of the worst. I ordered a beef burrito, chicken enchilada, and a crunchy beef taco. When she arrived with my food, I noticed it was a soft taco. She took my plate and brought me back a hard taco. Then when I cut into the burrito, I noticed it was chicken and not beef like I asked. She took the plate back a second time and replaced it with a beef burrito. The burrito and enchilada were both drenched in the same bland sauce. The sauce was cold also. There was absolutely no taste whatsoever....I took a few bites and left the rest. The rice was also undercooked..it was still crunchy, as if they didn't use enough water, or just undercooked it. The beans were completely inedible as well...there wasn't any cheese on the beans, and there were little puddles of grease in the middle of the beans..as if they were old. To add insult to injury, it's one of the most expensive Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. They charge $2.85 for one single taco, if you order a la carte! I've never seen such an expensive taco. Guess how much you're going to pay if you order a single burrito off the a la carte menu. $6!!!! Not coming back- no way.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants in miami. My coworker introduced me to this little slice of mexican bliss. I am a nacho fanatic...nachos are my safe food...you cant go wrong with nachos (unless you are at on the border) ...anyways lets talk about the fajita bite nachos...lets talk about the little strips of sirloin steak smothered in authentic mexican nacho cheese with jalapenos, tomatoes, lettuce and sour cream...lets talk about entering a food coma! the nachos are served on a skillet...large enough for 2 to share but good enough you wouldnt...and shouldnt! good food is hard to find and you shouldnt have to share it with someone else! Ive had their taco salad as well and it is a pretty awesome alternative to the high carb dishes they have..of course assuming you dont eat the deep fried tortilla bowl it is served in! My coworkers and I enjoy this place and frequent it quite a bit...definitely a must if you are in the mood for some good mexican! PS Its a small restaurant with few staff members dont expect service to be out of this world ..but do expect your mouth to have a full on mouth orgasm if you have those nachos! Enjoy!

Well not many good Mexican restaurants in Miami. I mean this one is awesome. Very authentic and the red tomato sauce in everything is so good wow.i mean the best . The staff is friendly and service good. The owner is always on top of everything. The food wow the tacos and the entrees man, got a Mexican craving worth the drive.

I'm a fan of Guadalajara as my neighborhood Mexican restaurant. I find that their menu is varied, with a lot of options (though I usually end up with the chimichanga). Its a different experience from Taco Rico. Pros: varied menu, better seating, margaritas Cons: Its a sit down, so no real grab and go. If I'm coming home from work and just want to grab something fast, I recommend Taco Rico. If you want to sit down, relax, and chow down on some refillable chips before your meal arrives, go with Guadalajara.

It doesn't look like much but the food is great. I love coming here on a weekend afternoon and pigging out on the chips and fajitas. They're classic. Definitely a good place to check out if you like Mexican and no-frills dining. I'll keep coming back!

I wish I could give this place no stars. First of all, the Mexican food isn't all that great and second, the manager/owner whatever he was, that irrational animal, SUCKS. Here is my story: I went with my sister. Sister ordered soup. Sister complains soup is very lemony. I taste soup. I spit soup out. "holy crap this is bad.. as in, it's gone sour." I tell waiter. Waiter tells irrational animal. Waiter returns to tell me I will have to pay for it anyway because the 2 pieces of meat in the soup have been eaten!!!! YES. I am NOT KIDDING. I say "so, you acknowledge it's gone sour?" poor waiter says "yes, I am sorry but there is nothing we can do for you." Irrational Animal runs into the kitchen and never comes back out. We (being the Nicanese people that we are) started trying to school the staff on the importance of customer service! I can't believe it! THE SOUP HAD GONE BAD BUT WE "HAD" TO PAY BECAUSE WE HAD ALREADY "EATEN THE 2 PIECES OF MEAT" in the soup?!?!? This guy is for real?? Is this restaurant for real?? THIS IS RETARDED. Please don't' go and encourage this kind of behavior. If he won't try to fix that he sold us an expired soup, I don't even want to know what goes on in the back. Yucky Supreme

Eh. I was unimpressed with the food here. Of course I didn't expect 'authentic' Mexican, considering the location. But just the overall quality of the food was kind of disappointing. I did enjoy the salsa and chips, but my tostada was not appetizing. The beans tasted old and the chicken didn't have much flavor. My boyfriend orderd fajitas and I had to end up eating some of his food since I really didn't like mine. The fajitas were fine, but fajitas are pretty simple, not hard to screw up. We will not be returning.

This is an excellent authentic mexican restaurant. I really enjoyed the queso fundido and loved my soft tacos with mashed beans and yellow rice. I am not a big mexican food fanatic, but this place definitely deserves 2 thumbs up for fresh food. Glad I went :-D and will be going there again!!

This is a real struggle for us here in Miami. They don't make their own flour tortillas here. Bad! They do make their own corn tortillas here but they were really tough and hard to chew. Worse!! The fajita beef meat was rather flavorless. The chicken fajita meat was ok. The rice was decent. The crispy tacos were decent and the nachos were passable. It's a decent little place for a Mexican fix near Pinecrest (if you are down there already). The salsa was rather bland but good chunks of onion. We mixed their spicy salsa with the regular to give it some kick. Meh. Really sums it up. Someone please bring me a taco joint recommendation in Miami.

A favorite neighborhood restaurant. They have delicious homemade food, with fresh ingredients and giant portions. My favorite was the soft corn tacos made fresh every morning. Their home made hot salsa was also amazing! I booked a group of 30 middle school students for our end of the year club banquet. Alexis was really accommodating and flexible! We had a nice relaxing, laid back couple of hours. The service was great and they were amazingly patient and friendly with my crazy middle schoolers. I love the entire staff!!

Every time I drive by, Guadalajara seems to be packed. Now, this must be a good thing, right? According to my better half, this place has been here forever (and always busy!), so I convinced him to go with me. Pretty small parking lot in front, but full nonetheless. People are constantly coming in and out, so if you wait, hopefully not too long, you might get a spot right there. Otherwise, people seem to be parking next door or across the street. We were told to sit wherever we liked, and were greeted by a very nice server once we sat down. We ordered drinks, and were brought some chips and salsa. Salsa on point. Chips, for the most part, great. Except some soggy oily ones, but hey, it happens (and they're free). I decided to go for the Enchiladas Rojas with pulled beef, and not too long after ordering, I got this huge plate! They are generous with their portions, but I admit, I had been stuffing my face with chips and salsa. The red sauce had a good balance of sweetness and acidity, the pulled beef was soft and juicy, and the tortilla, although smothered in sauce, was not soggy. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the American cheese on top, but that's personal preference as it's not my favorite type of cheese. The dish also brought a side of yellow rice and refried beans. The beans were a little on the salty side, but it balanced out with the rice. My boyfriend ordered Enchiladas Suizas, but they brought him Spinach Enchiladas. When we realized it wasn't what we had ordered, it was already too late. And the enchiladas, reminiscent of a creamy spinach dip, were pretty good, so we let it slide. Overall, we had a pretty enjoyable experience dining here, and there were just little things that kept it from being perfect. Now I understand why it's always so packed. I can't believe this place has been so close, and I never took the time to give it a try. I can't wait to visit again and try something different.

Classic Miami dumbfoundedness when asking for a meal without the meat inside. The type of place that might think vegetarian means I still eat chicken....and fish. While the waitress was very nice and accommodating as well as the manager, who took my dish off the check, the food just wasn't that good, or authentic, ESPECIALLY for the price, which was VERY EXPENSIVE for what type of place it is and the quality of the food. We got the Queso Fundido, which is nowhere close to any other queso i've ever gotten before - and not in a good way. Seems like they use the wrong cheese - way too greasy and stretchy to be an authentic queso dish. I got a burrito and asked for mole sauce on top. The Mole sauce was ok, but like i was saying before, they just took out the meat, put the rice on the side, which should have gone inside and just left me with a flat burrito with beans and some cheese inside, surrounded by a plateful of more beans. Two minutes into getting it, the cheese inside had melted and the whole thing was actually flatter than the pile of more beans surrounding the actual burrito. It was just a plate of slop. Another person I was with took two bites of their tacos and stopped eating as well. Wouldn't go back.

The BEST Mexican restaurant in Miami!! Great food and even better service!! We eat here almost every week. The food and service are both consistently good. The chimichanga with suiza sauce...amazing!

It's hard to find a really good, authentic Mexican place, but so far, this place is now my favorite Mexican joint! The first dish I've tried, and still stands as my all-time-favorite, is the Enchilada Mambo. A big dish packed with different flavors! On the platter are 4 medium-sized enchiladas (I usually opt for chicken), each with a different sauce. What I love about this dish is that you could get a little bit of everything. It can be sharable, and I tend to share dishes with my boyfriend, but we both ordered the same dish. He offered to help eat what I could not finish, and at first sight of the dish, I was quite intimidated... but as I kept eating, I couldn't stop. It was THAT GOOD, til the very last bite! The next dish I had at another visit, I ordered the Burrito Norte, another recommended favorite I saw on Yelp. I wanted to try something new, although my heart was still set on the Enchilada Mambo. And instead of chicken, I went for steak. The Burrito Norte was very good and it was a refreshing change from ordering the usual. Steak was cooked perfectly and it wasn't chewy; the meat itself had some flavor, thank goodness. Since the Enchilada Mambo does not come with side fixings of rice and beans (because it's already in the enchiladas), I was able to taste these sides separately. Rice was moist and the beans were soft (I take peculiar note of the sides because I've actually had dry rice and flavorless, hard beans before). I enjoyed the Norte and despite my bias towards the Mambo, I actually might order the Norte again (though, knowing me, I may try something else new on the menu altogether). Fresh ingredients, authentic taste, pleasant and attentive staff. I truly enjoyed this place and when I'm craving for Mexican and I'm in the area, I won't hesitate to come back! Oh, and just to forewarn you, parking is LIMITED. Plan accordingly or carpool.

During and after this meal, my mother compared it to dining in at Taco Bell. That says it all, if you ask me. We both ordered salads. I wanted to order the poblano salad although the waitress argued with me about it containing avocado, despite the fact that it blatantly said so on the menu sitting in front of me. As such, I ordered a taco salad that, to my surprise, came in a fried shell that tasted like an unsweetened funnel cake. The chips were much better.. Although the salsa seemed like a jarred salsa with fresh cilantro mixed in. Anyway, the salad greens were lettuce shreds. This is a big pet peeve of mine. The shredded chicken meat was good, hence the two stars. On the other hand, while the waitress was very attentive and nice, she also KILLED me. The whole meal felt rushed.. She was taking away our plates as we were chewing our last bites... And... ultimate pet peeve... She took her tip from the table while we were sitting there!! There were maybe 3 other tables very spread out.. Were they going to steal your tip? Geez.

One of my childhood eateries when my family first settled here in Miami! Yes, this place is older than I can ever remember setting my toddler foot in this city. It even stayed put all this time, hidden behind the Shell gas station and Burger King off the US1, this place feels like it never changed. And to no surprise their parking lot is still small as well! Often enough you might not find a spot during their peak hours but lately I've been doing lunch here with no fuss at all. In case you're wondering, yes they do have your traditional salsa and chips for starters. I highly, HIGHLY recommend their enchilada mambo. You get a a great variety of their red, green, white, and mole sauces that always fills me up to satisfaction. You may even change out any sauce to your liking. I know for sure when ever I step in to a Mexican restaurant, first thing that comes to my mind is mole. I also enjoy their burrito norteno if you're craving a helping of red meat and lime. This thing will fill you to the brim! The meat is seasoned wonderfully to which I emphasize for all you lime lovers, give this a try. I also tried out their Chile Relleno which was also tasteful, however the size of the stuffed pepper doesn't compare the two dishes I mentioned above. Overall one of my favorite Mexican spots that gives nostalgia every time I walk in.

The staff at this restaurant was very rude. My 6 year old son has very bad food allergies. Therefore I took his food. Well I was told that he was not allowed to eat his food there because it was against their policy. I can understand if it was an adult trying to do this, but it was a child!! We were asked to leave. My family and I will not go there ever again and I will not recommend this place.

I normally frequent another Mexican restaurant but decided to give Guadalajara a try since I have heard great things about a dish they have called El Zarape. First off the parking in this place is tiny and the spots are tight. As is my tradition in every Mexican restaurant I had to start off with some chips, Guacamole and a Margarita. Sadly all three were a disappointment. The chips were stale, the Guacamole was bland and the Margarita was meh. But I will say they redeemed themselves with the Zarape. It's basically a fajita with gooey melted cheese. That thing was amazing. The hubby had the Enchiladas which were good too.

OMG how can a restaurant that offers such delicious authentic Mexican Mole have 3.5 stars! I came to find this restaurant by coincidence while driving around the area looking for a place to satisfy my mexican food craving in the middle of the week. After yelping and looking at much appealing food pics i decided to stop and give it a try. I already knew what i was going to have...those pictures sold me the Enchiladas, so i ordered the Enchiladas Mambo which consist of 4 enchiladas, one with Mole Sauce, one Suiza, one with Spinach Sauce and one Red Sauce original. I order the Red and the Mole ones with chicken, the spinach with ground beef, and the suiza with shredded beef. I cannot begin to explain how each enchilada was completely out of this world! each kind of meat was savory and juicy, all with distinguish flavors, they all tasted so different, with authentic mexican spices and seasonings, they were to die for. The Sauces were home made and delicious, the Spinach, the Red sauce that was more like pink Sauce, and the Suiza, all dense, creamy and flavorful, i could have them and drink them with a straw of how good they were LOL...and that MOLE, omgg that mole, it takes skills, dedication and experience to make Mole that good, it was perfect, not too sweet, not overpowering, simply delicious and well balanced! when i finished with my plate i had to ask the Waitress, that was super nice and attentive, who was cooking in the back because i had a long time that i didn't taste mole that good..and she told me that the Restaurant is Family owned and that the chefs are 2 old mexican ladies that make everything from scratch, and that going inside that kitchen was insane of how the air is filled with spices aromas and that they take good care and preparation of all dishes! She also told me that they own another restaurant in Homestead....and of course turned out to be one of my favorite mexican restaurants... Casita Tejas!!!! yep // no wonder everything was so GOOD! now i don't need to go that far to have some good authentic Tex Mex cuisine! yeiii

I went there today for lunch. I had the burrito. Was pretty good. Food came out quick. Surprisingly because I usually waited for almost an hour in the past. The service wasn't all that great. She was nice, but she never came back to see how our food was or if I wanted a second drink. She quickly gave me my check. As if she was dying for me to leave. I didn't appreciate seeing the entire staff eating their dinner at the bar. Very unprofessional. But the Margaritas are always great.

I had heard about this place from several people, so I came with high expectations and I must say, it did not disappoint!! The service was excellent and the food was even better! We had the burrito norteño, with tasty salsa suisa, the Texas chipotle burrito (chicken and steak,) and the fajitas mix (chicken, steak and shrimp). Everything was delicious, not too spicy and with great flavor. We also tried their wine-based margaritas, highly recommended!!

Stopped by for lunch today. I have been living in pinecrest since 1999 & have always passed this restaurant but waited till today to try it . The decor is authentic Mexican even though my family is from Dominican Republic the restaurant had an atmosphere of my abuelitas house. The food was delicious , I had the best chicken enchiladas & I could hear her food in the kitchen being cooked which is always great to know it's made to order & fresh . The service was great & very knowledgable about the menu . Look forward to eating here again

Oh my goodness! I loved every bite. I went for lunch and got the small burrito plate. Very cheap. It can with a small burrito, beans, and rice. Only $7.55 total. So much food. Endless chips and salsa are hard to find in Miami, especially when they are good! The chips were warm and crispy. The salsa was a great. While it's a bit of a drive from my house, I can definitely see myself driving this way just to eat here again.

The food was good. We ordered queso fundido with chorizo and tacos al pastor. The queso fundido barely had an chorizo in it but apart from that it was good. The tacos al pastor were delicious and came with rice and a soup. The service was a little slow and it wasn't that busy but the waitress was nice.

The food was really good. You're brought chips and salsa to the table. The chips seem more like pita chips though. The fajita meat is wonderfully seasoned and not overpowering. My dish was between 15 and 16 dollars and I think this is about the average price per entree. I did not like that I was charged for sour cream which I think is not hard to find at a Mexican restaurant. I was billed 1.75 for it. It was a small amount and paying for a small amount of condiments seems a little too cheap on the restaurant's part. I would be okay with being charged if I'm requesting this while ordering a pasta dish but I'm ordering a Mexican dish that includes fajita meat, rice, refried beans, etc. It just seemed a little ridiculous to me.

Where to start... Decided to try a new Mexican restaurant after getting stuck in the mall longer than expected. Taqueria Morelia was closed and I wasn't feeling karaoke at the other local Mexican spot. From the outside, the restaurant is unassuming, but the ambiance inside is quite cozy. Parking was perfect and we love to hear "sit wherever you'd like". We found a nice table in the back, perfect for a family. No sooner had we sat down than the chips and salsa came. Can you say quick? And what a salsa it was. Best we've had in a restaurant; even better than Mrs mendoza's. The speed of service was a constant throughout the night. We ordered Carne asada tacos, chicken floutas, chicken quesadilla, and a burrito smothered in cheese and sauce. The food was AMAZING! The margaritas weren't bad either, especially given that they are wine based. The guacamole isn't as good as El Rancho Grande, but few are. We rounded out the meal with some fried ice cream. Again, not as good as El Rancho Grande, but the family enjoyed it. Overall a truly pleasant dining experience and with a great server to top it off. We will definitely be back! Maybe even become regulars.

Went to Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant back in February and I must say, this restaurant is one of the few good Mexican restaurants in Miami! The service was great and on point and the food was done very well. I ordered a beef burrito with pinto beans and yellow rice and I ordered a tasty Horchata for my drink. I was not disappointed. For dessert, I got the Cinnamon Chips with Vanilla Ice Cream and was transported to heaven. This is a nice, cozy place to get some traditional Mexican food!

The WORST Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Terrible service (waited over an hour for our food) and even worse food. They sell "margaritas" that are wine based and have no tequila. The drink was watered down, full of ice and 8 dollars with no tequila. The atmosphere was like a high school cafeteria. Probably the worst Mexican restaurant in Miami. I guess they have family and friends posting yelp reviews. All around awful experience.

We showed up here at around 6 pm on a Saturday. It was really loud with the waitresses tossing all the plates and silverware into the dirty dish pile. She was launching the silverware which made a very "click clack" noise caused by the hundreds of silverware pieces she was throwing among other silverware about to be washed. It would be best for them to do that much more quietly. Additionally, there were some kids who were not trained properly because they were making strange animal sounds. It was like a mixture of a monkey and a banshee sounds that streamed through the whole restaurant . Then finally the waiter came to our table which took longer than usual in comparison to many other restaurants. We had asked the waiter about the noise and he said it was a normal occurrence on a Sunday to have a zoo-like atmosphere. Also the waiter didn't bring us water from the beginning. Every waiter should bring water to the table first thing upon beginning his waiter duties. At that point we asked for two Corona's and water. Which he ended only bringing one cup of water, he would then bring the other water like 15 minutes later. The beer made the experience a little better and finally the parent took the kid who was making wild animal noises outside because she noticed her kid was acting like a wild animal. We first ordered the Queso Fundido with Chips. I have had way better Queso Fundido at other Mexican restaurants before. The queso fundido here seemed as if they just put some cheese and it was very cheesy rather it being like a dip for the chips. You cant dip the chips, you have to get a spoon and clump the cheese on one chip. Queso fundido is typically like a dip. It still tasted good, but I have had way better smooter queso fundido. Oh yea remember that kid that was taken out by the mother, they left. But guess what , another kid then started doing those animal sounds which was very disturbing. It was as if this kid got bit by the other kid and now she is a screaming little animal now. Then I ordered the main course which was the enchilada with Swiss cheese melted on top of it. Tasted good, but once again it was not what i expected, I thought it was going to taste way better because of how packed this place was. Was this good Mexican? Eh it was alright. Probably will not be back there. I will get my Mexican food fix at another restaurant. Service was also very so-so. But this place doeskin really care because it has their regulars. But on my cheat day I'm going to another Mexican restaurant.

Your don't throw out customers because they brought food for there little kid that won't enjoy Mexican food and the waiter through us out because of it. They lost customers, and more and more will leave if they don't change there ways. I hope they shape up and learn how to manage a restaurant the real way.

Food was good . Service was bad . It was my first time there and I know they open at 11 , I looked it up online . I got there at around 10:50. So I waited outside until 11. I got there before the waitress even came in. Talk about being on time . When I got there the guy waitress doesn't even greet or say good morning he just said what do you want ? With a bad attitude. I responded, to eat ? Sarcastically. He sits me ,and my boyfriend down and sais can I get you something to drink ?and I asked what do you have to drink ? And he doesn't answer he seems annoyed and gives us the menu. He took our order later on and I never saw him again he disappeared. Two other waitresses there asked us if the food was good and if everything was okay . One of them was flirting with my boyfriend. I won't be coming there again.

Authentic Mexican cuisine it is not but fair when you need a mexi-fix. We've been many times, slow and very busy. Tonight was busy but a very different vibe. Employees wore regular clothes, not uniforms (I thought a customer was taking our order). The owner's 7 yr old grand daughter was passing out menus and running the register (?)! She was adorable but really? No more sopapillas for dessert They took them off the menu. I think the prices may have gone up too. The main objection I have to their food is that the tomatoes are canned, not fresh (with the exception of their salsa, which is great)! Oh, and no limes due to a price increase to them, no likey the lemon in my Corona Well, the boys liked their kids' burrito and quesadillas.

The food was amazing we had portobello fajitas, amazing because I am a vegetarian so I loved them! The fish tacos were extremely tasty as well as the stake fajitas. The service was extremely professional friendly and informative. Their fried ice cream is very big it's a good portion to share. We will for sure be back! Órale!

I am a HUGE Mexican food fanatic and I have eaten Mexican in Texas, Mexico, New Mexico, Tennessee, and so on. Miami lacks in Mexican restaurant options and the places I have been to have been sub par to terrible, but surprisingly Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant was pretty good! The salsa was fresh and the cilantro really gives it a great flavor. The chips were typical restaurant style chips and noting out of this world but average. I ordered the spinach enchiladas which were very tasty! Although I have better in Texas, these enchiladas were good! My fiancé had some sort of spicy burrito and he really enjoyed his meal! I stole a bite of his burrito and it was very good and the spicyness was just right! The servers were very attentive, but then again I went for lunch so the restaurant wasn't too busy although it was Memorial Day. Overall, good food at a decent price and BY FAR the best Mexican food I have had thus far in Miami! **Update August 2013** My husband and I are now regulars here. We love it and since my first visit I have tried a lot of new things but my favorite is the burrito norteno !! It's awesome! **Update May 2014** This place still rocks and my hubby (look from my first review until now- fiancé to husband) and I are STILL regulars. The burrito norteno used to be my fave (it still is sOo good). But now my always order platter is the Texas Chipotle burrito! The only thing different that I ask for is that they make it was steak instead of chicken and it is my weekly "heaven" experience.

Sometimes you just need a tex-mex fix. And in this town that can put you in a bind. But thanks to Guadalajara's, that problem is behind me! Yes, it's greasy and, no, it's not authentic. But listen people, we are a long way from the boarder! To me, this is the best tex mex in town. Also, I've always had friendly service here. Once I even walked in 2 mins before closing on a week night and they welcomed me with a smile. Now that's authentic hospitality.

The food was horrible, they didn't have what I ordered. "which restaurant doesn't have what it is on the menu." I only saw the waiter once or twice and is not a big restaurant. He didn't serve me water I have to ask another waiter to please serve me water. and when I finally received my food it tasted horrible.

The food & waitress was very good but unfortunately our dining experience for our party of 6 was ruined by the unpleasant attitude of the manager. When asked to split our bill between 5 she said that her system did not allow it to be split by more than 3. Don't understand since we've never experienced this anywhere and after she explained this walked away and proceeded to roll her eyes.

I had been avoiding this place because last time I had come it was blah but that was 10 years ago and lots has changed. The enchiladas suissas and with shredded beef were spectacular - I definitely recommend them! I will be back for them. The steak tacos and fajitas weren't bad but nothing unusually exceptional but good. Glad we gave it a second chance! :)

Finally found a Mexican restaurant that isn't an infusion with something else. It's cheesy. It's beans with fat. It's chunky thin style salsa. It's fried crispy tacos. It's a place that says F-U weight watchers. Our patrons walk away with a smile on their face, happy, proudly, satisfactorily guilty.

Good food though my Mexican food expert friends say it's not all that authentic. But we like it and we recommend it. We are fans of the shredded steak burritos, chicken burritos, rice, beans, chips, chicken quesadillas, as well as both their steak and their chicken flautas. Friendly servers but speed can be uneven---can be blazingly fast or excruciatingly slow at times. A tad pricey but very good quality. Very kid-friendly in our experience.

We go to this restaurant quite a bit and we've unfortunately seen a significant change in the food quality over the past few years . It is only because of our regular wonderful friend and server Ari that we continue to go. I wish there was more attention to spices, the tortilla soup has little flavor, 'spicy' means it has salt...for the past 8 years we've been patrons and we would love to see the owners pay attention to quality and not necessarily quantity...it will make a HUGE difference for us locals :)

This restaurant has its good and bad, but today's experience was very good! The food is always fresh, rich, and warm. The service, on the other hand, isn't always up to par. The server today, however, was Cristina. Thank gosh! She was polite, professional, and alert. My mom and I started with the side of guacamole and queso fundido, the latter was recommended to us by the server and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed frozen margaritas, which were refreshing and packed a punch! As our main, we shared the steak and shrimp fajitas, a very nice treat for someone who doesn't want too much food. Cristina even offered us more tortilla; what server in Miami does this nowadays? This is what I meant by alert. Overall, we had a great time, thanks to Cristina, and will definitely be back as long as she takes care of us.

Tried this place for the first time last night and was underimpressed. My shrimp fajitas was mostly onions although the shrimp were nicely seasoned. My daughter ordered her meal without tomatoes and it was brought with tomtatoes... it took quite awhile for them to bring her corrected order out. The coating on the fried ice cream was mushy. Not a dining experience I want to repeat.

The atmosphere is great. Service is somewhat slow I have experienced it many times over the course of several visits. The prices are just okay. The food is excellent and delicious which is what I like about this place. Truly I enjoyed my time eating here. Worthy of recommending this to others.

Nice atmosphere, good food, good service at a good price. About 20 of us showed up on a Saturday night with the restaurant about 70% full. They moved some tables around and had us sitting within 10 minutes. Margaritas were excellent chips and salsa came out right away to ease the kids. I ordered the most popular dish, a burrito with steak inside covered with some kind of cilantro sauce. I only had two bites bc my two little kids tried it and fell in love with it so I let them split...I'm such a sucker. Next time we are all ordering the same thing. Also, the servers we had were all young, energetic, and happy. Seems like they all work together and have a good time with each other.

I used to love this place since there were no other good mexican restaurant around my area (south miami). We ordered the fiesta sampler, taco salad, tamales, and the chicken mole, but they were not very impressive. First off, the shell on the taco salad was fried badly. The shell was not crisp, it was rather soggy because it had sucked up all the oil. The tamales and the fiesta sampler were decent. The taste of the chicken mole sauce did not sit well in my mouth. Next time, we will probably go back to the basics: fajitas, burrito, and enchiladas since they were good when we tried them last year.

Wow! Talk about a pleasant surprise! I had a heard about this place a couple of times, and even passed by, but it just didn't "reel me in" if you know what I mean.....let me tell you this hole-in-the-wall has the BEST Mexican food I've had in a long time! To start, even though it's an older building, it is VERY clean and the service is just perfect. They start you off with salsa and chips.....these were so good we had gone through 2 refills of both (salsa and chips) and had totally forgot to even look at the menu! It was so fresh! I could go back just for that! For dinner I ordered a burrito norteno: A flour tortilla with steak , onions, rice and cilantro. Smothered with delicious salsa suisa and melted Monterrey Jack cheese. Served with lettuce, tomato and sour cream - I added guacamole, OMG (I'm actually salivating while writing this review, just remembering the flavors!) My husband had the chimichanga with ground beef - he did not stop saying how good it was, I think he repeated it with every bite he took - unbelievable was the word he used to describe his menu selection! It was outstanding food! Finally for dessert....FRIED ICE CREAM - need I say more?!?!??? If you like Mexican food you have to give this place a try....it is understated and humble.....their food is to die for!

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I've actually worked in the restaurant as a dish washer and let me tell you this place is beyond dirty. This tool they use to stir up the beans has lots of rust on it. Along with the pots and pans. Mind you one day as I was cleaning the dishes the cook had me move over while she cleans the meats and she just drops it in the sink where I was cleaning. I was beyond grossed out because she didn't even bother washing it off. After I saw that I quitted. This place is beyond dirty. Also the other dish washer guy he doesn't even clean the dishes 100%. He just does it half ass then puts them back and the plates still have food on them and the cook doesnt even care they just throw food over it.

Horrendous! What can I say. Over 30 minutes for food. Items in menu not available for order. Very grunge and dirty. What Mexican Resteraunt offer NO margaritas. Would take the extra drive to Homestead for real food or Taco Bell. Food tasted like it was from a can and box

Food approaches third star but really, when a party of four orders two each of two dinners, how can one meal be brought out fully 10 minutes after the other identical dish? By the time the last one arrived all others were tepid. The combo dinner was so homogeneous that it was challenging to taste any difference between the items, bland and uninspired. And it took a semaphore station to attract the notice of waitstaff, who mid-meal took another 10 minutes to bring another round of beer and water. Since scarcely 6 tables were occupied there was simply no excuse for this level of "service."

Woke up with a mood for Mexican food and mini golf, and only one thing was fulfilled, and it wasn't thanks to Guadalajara Restaurant. If you are going to name your restaurant to a city in Mexico, stick to the local cuisine, instead we had the Pine Crest/Killian version of On the Border. After perusing around the menu and asking for some recommendations, we settled and ordered with hope that the food would at least do some justice to the Tex Mex theme (even named after Guadalajara) but it did not even come close to our usual Taco Tuesdays. After what seemed like a 2 hour wait for a meal worth a 20 minute effort, we tried to find some reprieve to the negativity with the service, but found none. oh well, on to the mini golf.

It's a really good restaurant to eat at. Even though I hadn't been there in a few months when I walked in the server knew exactly what I ordered the last time (I think her name was Yanira) and asked if I wanted it again. She was prompt, attentive and very friendly. The food was hot and fresh plus I enjoyed every bite of it. Towards the end of our conversation when I was closing out I told her that I would love to speak with a manager to compliment her on her service and she replied I am the manager. Having great management and fresh food is what makes this little hole in the wall place a nice place to get a meal at a reasonable price.

Horrible. Took dinner for my toddler because he doesn't eat Mexican food. They said they do not allow "outside food". We were kicked out because my son needed to eat and they wouldn't allow him to eat his food there. I forgot to mention that our 88 year old grandfather with a walker had to struggle to walk in the restaurant and had to struggle to walk back to the car because they were cruel and did not let a baby bring "outside food" into their restaurant. I will never ever go to this place again. Horrible!

By far the best Mexican Place I've been to. It's very authentic and the restaurant has a cozy feel to it. The food is amazing and makes you feel like you are at your friend's Mexican grandmother's house eating her home cooked meal (if thats not weird). I do have to say, I like dinner better than lunch just because I feel like the special lunch menu where you can combine two dishes is just ok. Its basically the same ingrediants on two different types of tortillas. however, the dinner is AMAZING! I ate the texas chipotle burrito and it was so nice and flavorful. Theres something here for everyone and its a great place to go if you are looking for some nice, authentic mexican food!

I happen to think it's hard to find GOOD Mexican food in Miami (outside of Homestead), but Guadalajara is good & fairly consistent. It is clean, reasonably priced & serves good sized, fresh portions. They capture an authentic Mexican taste in a very casual atmosphere, and don't mind cleaning up after my kids! I stated in my tip that the service isn't always superb, but most of the time they try.

I use to love this place, but has gone down hill. I ordered one of my favorite dishes, chicken mole. This is nomally a slow brazed chicken 1/4 in a rich chocolate mole sauce. What I got was a semi-grilled piece of pre-cooked chicken with a spoon full of sauce over it. I did give it one more chance. Ordered one of the platters. It was very forgettable. I will not be back.

Try the queso fundido from here, thank me later! This place is quaint & itty bitty. There isn't a whole lot of space but the quality of the food & service is exceptional. The food is authentic Mexican & authentic delicious. Every time I have come here, this place is bustling & full. It's a little hard to find my favorite Mexican dish, tacos al pastor, & this place has got em, but by far my favorite thing on the menu is the queso fundido, highly recommend it!

I have no idea what I ate. But, it was delicious. When I go out for Mexican, much like when I go out for seafood, I have a hard time narrowing down my order. So, I wind up getting an enormous combo platter. Combine that with some of those warm chips and salsa. Wash it down with a Negro Modelo. And then I curse myself for never leaving room for dessert.

I recommend fajita nachos. Very good! :) They should improve their queso fundido.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Miami, hands down. I always order their burrito (with chicken!), and a margarita. I have NEVER been let down by the quality of food or drink! Granted, my order has occasionally not been exact (I ask for no beans on the side, but sometimes a language barrier is an issue and I still get beans), but the deliciousness of the dish makes up for the error. The lunch prices are ridiculously low and reasonable, and dinner prices are right on target with what you receive.

Now, I thought this would be a good idea to go eat here the day before I began my Paleo diet. This was a terrible idea because this food was AMAZING. I want to eat there everyday. The queso fundido - are you serious? They don't give you a tiny bowl - you get a HUGE bowl of melted cheese deliciousness. The portions are huge. The food is authentic. I ordered the Guadalajara combination plate - so much food I took some for lunch the next day. The restaurant is very quaint, it is clean and the servers are friendly and quick. I need a cheat day. :)

Fantastic Fajitas. Excellent Enchiladas. Supreme Salsa. Beautiful Burritos. Terrific Tamales. It is always a great place to get high quality Mexican food. Everything I have tried there has made me very satisfied and very full. It is a nice little family restaurants that occasionally gets overcrowded. The parking lot is small. If the parking lot is packed, it is wise to move on to somewhere else for the night. It definitely is a great spot if you have a hankering for Mexican food.

We went out with my father in law as he recommended this place he visits frequently. I was semi worried as his taste buds are not the best judges from prior restaurants recommendations. Well I went to yelp & only three stars & some bad reviews... Yikes. Well I just thought, I will see. Chips -ok, nothing that impressed me. Had better. Salsa- fresh & chunky. My cheese enchiladas supposedly were spicy... They were so bland I asked my husband to give me the salsa to liven things up... Also, this place is way too loud to have a conversation. Service was quick & the staff seemed pleasant. Overall it wasn't a good experience so unfortunately will not be returning back.

I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. It's your run of the mill "Mexican" restaurant that caters to those that don't know what real mexican food is. I ordered the Enchiladas Suiso de queso. Basically cheese enchiladas in a green sauce. The green sauce was different than what I'm used to, which is good sauce. My dining companions ordered the chicken taco salad and she was happy with it. My other dining compatriot ordered the "Mexican Plate" which came with a taco, enchilada, and flauta along with rice and beans. It looked so bland with absolutely no presentation to make it look nice. I am going to keep this simple because I don't have the energy today. If you want real Mexican in Miami your best option is Mi Rinconcito in Little Havana!

I have been here many times over the past years. I find that their food is good and relatively consistent. There is nothing bad to say about it there...the chips are fresh and the salsa is good. And, they do a very good job of replenishing them when they run low. But, maybe I'm used to having Mexican food in LA, because I find some of the flavors here to be a little inauthentic and less tasty than I've had elsewhere. For instance, one of my favorites is chimichangas. They make a pretty good one, but it's nothing close to my favorite Mexican place, Rosita's down in Florida City/Redlands. It's a very nice little family place and I enjoy going there...and I will continue to do so. Just don't expect to be blown away.

Horrible, might as well gone to Taco Bell. The chips were cold. I ordered a 14 dollar plate of Beef Fajitas and the meat was quite possibly the worst ive had. They just marinated it for about a day but the quality was grade F. Easy a 3 dollar cut of meat at Publix. Dont waste your money, i also took a peak at their margarita mix. in a cardboard jug with some unknown tequila.

  • Diana H.

I don't know about the other item on the menu, but I ate an enchilada and it was amazing. I will defiantly recommend this place to any of my friends. The chips they give you to eat are also very yummy. I can't wait to go back. I only heard positive feedback of this place from my friends that have gone so I don't know why people are rating it badly.

I had heard great things about this place but I'm going to have to agree with the average 3 stars on this one, I was definitely not wowed, not even close. My friends and I decided to grab some dinner here the day after Cinco de Mayo because we had missed the original day due to a hectic finals schedule. But anyway, here we were ready to enjoy some margaritas and our mexican fix... meeehhh... it's all I can really say. The one thing that I did fall in love with was the homemade salsa that came with the complimentary chips. Other than that, most of the plates we had were mild and boring in taste. I opted for the "spicy" shrimp, which was advertised as a hot and exciting dish and the truth of the matter is that it was hardly memorable. It tasted like they had attempted to drown some tabasco in ketchup and added some sweet and sour for kicks.... not to mention the shrimp was chewy. The margarita was delish but i don't think I'll be recommending this place if anyone is craving mexican.

Probably one of the best mexican restaurants in Miami. Their service is top notch, and their prices are fair. Order the Burrito Norteño, you won't be disappointed.

  • Enrique C.

Disappointed with this restaurant. You would think that a small restaurant would serve fresh food, but this is not the case. The salsa is not fresh. The lettuce is not fresh it is from a big bag. My wife ordered the chicken fajitas and it was not chicken breast. Too much seasoning. The prices are little bit too high. I ordered guacamole. And that too was not fresh. I strongly suggest to the owner to at least make fresh salsa and guacamole. The service was good.

  • Ralph M.

Mediocre mexican food, with sub mediocre service. This was pretty straightforward: we were ordering our drinks and an appetizer. You go away, then you come back and take our entree order. You don't disappear for half an hour. I had damn near finished my beer before I even got to order my dinner. No refills while we waited, either. That waiter was one disappearing act. We'd come in hoping for a quick meal. No such luck.

I'm a fan! I love the enchiladas and taco salad. This is the best place to go when you want unpretentious Mexican food at a great price. I've been for lunch on the weekends and there is never a wait and I get parking effortlessly. Love it.

  • Martin O.

I think they have the most authentic Mexican food in Miami. The chips are hot and fresh and the enchiladas, refried beans and rice are all excellent. It's not quite like the Mexican food served in Texas or California, but it's very close. It's located in South Miami across from the Macy's Home Furnishing Outlet. There is a parking lot in front.

Guadalajara is a little restaurant hidden behind a gas station...hidden but not unknown. We went here on a Friday night around 7:30 and it was crowded! We had to park across the street, which wasn't a problem. When we walked in, a lady greeted us and told us to pick a table. I thought that was a little weird, especially since there were only two tables open and plenty of people walking in. We grabbed a table by the window and our server immediately started to take our order. We had the Gorditas for an appetizer. Ohhh the Gorditas! They were so delicious. And after eating them it only made me hungrier. So it is a good thing chips and salsa came complimentary. The salsa was so fresh, and a little spicy, and the chips were crispy! I'm a lover of chips and salsa...that could've been my meal alone. I ended up ordering the Chile Relleno and my boyfriend had the Tacos de Bistec. The Chile Relleno is humungous! And really, really good! The tacos were great, but you might want to keep the salsa you get with the chips and mix it in. The service was pretty good, considering how busy they were. It is very noisy, so do not go if you want a quiet dinner. Parking might be an issue, but there is the Macy's furniture store lot across the street. I'll definitely come back here to try more things.

Sorry to say but this was the most tasteless dinner we have ever eaten. I ordered the Mexican plate with chicken. Chicken filled taco had no seasoning, the enchilada had flavorless chicken in it, the chicken roll thing was just hot tasteless dry chicken in a crunchy wrap. Even the sauce and cheese on it was flavorless!!! My brother had the ground beef enchiladas and they were just as bad. And it was packed???? Do these people not have any idea of what real Mexican food tastes like?? Do yourself a favor and go get an old El Paso enchilada dinner kit from Publix. You'll be more satisfied.

I have been searching for a good mexican restaurant in Miami and there is a serious lack of mexican restaurants in the area ... But I tried Guadalajara last night and it was great! - Great service - it was fast and our waitress was really friendly and spoke English! This is a rare find in Miami! haha - Chips and Salsa were yummy - The margaritas were excellent - Burritos and Chimichangas were quite delicious! - Nice atmosphere: The restaurant was full, but not too crowed. The music was good too! My boyfriend and I loved this place! We'll definitely be going back.

I come here for lunch once and a while and have never been disappointed. The fresh pico de gallo they bring out with chis to start is delicious. The menu items are straightforward, traditional Mexican cuisine. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get and the lunch specials are downright cheap. The service has been decent but often on the slow side. I'd recommend Guadalajara for lunch or a casual dinner if you're in the mood for Mexican food for sure. If you're with a bigger group, I recommend bringing cash, we had issues with multiple credit cards in the past.

Being Mexican myself, this isn't the most authentic Mexican place in Miami. However, it's a total family-owned, friendly neighborhood restaurant, and I love it for that. I would try the burritos here, they're really good and they have different varieties. The tacos al bistek are pretty authentic and tasty- make sure to put lime on them if you want a true Mexican taste. Like I said, this is more of a neighborhood local spot, so the prices are very reasonable. I recommend it for a casual meal with friends or family.

I have been to Guadalajara a number of times and every time is as delicious as the last. I have had the enchiladas mambo which is a sampler of all the types of echiladas they offer. This is such a great dish and so inexpensive at around $10. The steak fajitas are definitely my favorite because they are so flavorful. This dish also comes with all the fajita toppings and soft, warm tortillas. It's plenty for one person maybe even two who don't eat too much. The service is always excellent but there may be a wait on the weekends. It you're in the mood for some delicious, inexpensive Mexican food then you must pay Guadalajara a visit

Not a fan. Only went there once and will never go back. Everything was just barely edible and the ice cream that came with our dessert was full of ice crystals, as if it had come from a massive tub that's been living in a deep freezer for who knows how long. The state of Mexican food in Miami is pitiful. Homestead seems to be the only place to get the good stuff, but some places are a bit shady and too far (for me) to frequent.

Good food, the service is on the money, and the price is right! I really like this restaurant, I've never been let down here. It's not a "Fancy Nancy" but Mexican food shouldn't be. Try the "queso fundido" & " tacos al pastor". If you like it hot, ask for the spicy sauce, make sure to have your beer ready.

As a native Texan, I'm picky about my Mexican food and this is the best I have found in Miami. The food is always tasty - I usually get the Enchiladas Verdes and have never been disappointed. The salsa and chips they serve at each table are excellent, as is the horchata and beer selection. I would recommend this to anyone who wants some good, authentic Mexican food. The service is pretty good, too!

Been to this place many times. There's not a lot of choices around the area for Mexican. It's not the best, but it's decent. I like the chimichangas. The chips are under salted, the salsa is OK. I've never had a problem with the service. Someone I was with ordered quesadillas and expected the typical American style quesadilla, but it wasn't what he got. Maybe it was more authentic? I like their shrimp dishes as a lighter option. If you want good Mexican and feel like taking a drive, go to Cancun Grill on Miami Lakes Drive. It's worth the treck! But if you're too lazy (like me sometimes...), this is a fine alternative.

Had a good experience here. Went here for lunch on a Tuesday. Chips and dip was decent, I thought the chips were a tad stale. We had the beef Flautas to start. It was ok, kind of dry. But the entrees made up for it. They were running a today's special of an open-face Tostadas. Nice portion of tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, guac, refried beans, and shredded beef all layered together. Glad I gave this a try, because it was very good. The GF had chicken Chimichanga. It too was very good, the chicken was moist/tender and very flavorful. Maybe the best Chimichangas I ever had. We had the Fried Ice Cream for dessert, it was bland. The ice cream wasn't really fried but cover with stale corn flakes. Also, attitude of the server could have been better. The GF asked how the chicken was prepared and the server apparently ignored the question. Nice, clean, modern place. So based on my review thus far, you may think this place is mediocre or crap. But no, we really like this place. Yeah, the items at the beginning and end of our lunch could have been better, but the main dishes were very good. In reading other Yelpers' review, I'm surprise at all the sub par reviews on the food. I for one like the kind of Mexican food when it's 4am and you're in the back alley somewhere in Los Angeles or Miami, being cooked up by people that you're not too sure their suppose to be in this country. Also the GF is a feisty Miami Latin and she enjoyed her dish as well. So much so that she's taking her mom. The food overall was good and delicous, I would suggest you check this place out.

I enjoy the enchiladas suiza here, maybe I don't know any better...the salsa is decent. Not a terrible place to stop if you are in the neighborhood.

If all the Mexican food you know is Taco Bell, then I suggest you try out the tasty treats at Guadalajara. This is a family owned and operated business (they also own a sister restaurant called Casita Tejas in Homestead, FL) that has some authentic Mexican tastes. We had several different plates among all of us and I tried a little of everything. The burritos and flautas were great, as was the chicken quesadilla I sampled. The margaritas were good too. It is a little pricey, but the food will not disappoint.

The food is good but not worth the hassle that comes with it. The service is HORRIBLE! They also charge you for anything extra you get it. A small bowl of cheese is $1.50, lettuce is $1.25. The chips are always cold and sometimes stale. If you want Mexican food that is equally is good and half the price go to Taco Rico a couple of streets down. This place is very over priced and just not worth the attitudes and horrible service.

Good Mexican food. The tortilla soup and fajitas are excellent choices. Prices are a bit high but are expected in Pinecrest.

friends were here from australia and they cannot get mexican food over there, or at least any palatable mexican food. frankly, i don't think there's any "great" mexican food to be found in miami. it's all just good or ok or bad. i've eaten at rosa mexicana (good but expensive), taco rico, casita tejas, el toro taco, chipotle, a few places on miami beach, etc., etc. i'm sure i forgot some and i'm sure i've missed some. anyway, this place was good. i mean, in the sense that the salsa was ok, the chips that night were fresh, the wait for food was pretty bad but we didn't care, we were gabbing. the wait staff were attentive. my fajitas were quite good but not sure i have ever had bad fajitas. the chicken had a nice flavor, the tortillas were fresh. the sides were good. my husband liked his burrito a lot, and the aussie family LOVED their food. in general, the only place i've ever had good mexican food is california and mexico!!! so, for miami, i would recommend this place for a fun restaurant to go to with a table of people, lots of drinks, and an inexpensive night out.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
