I adore this place. The food is consistently good, and after regularly eating there I've become friends with Kouki, the owner. It's genuine Japanese food. It's always really good, and the price is really reasonable. I wish I didn't have to leave it behind when I moved away from the area - Go to is the only thing I miss. If you're thinking of eating here, do it! You won't regret it.

It's a winner! Quality rolls and nigiri, reasonably priced and fast delivery. I just ordered the "Winner" combo meal with a miso soup and wakame salad and everything was great. Fresh and tasty, with very nice sushi rice. Go To Sushi just became my favorite delivery place in this area.

WORST SUSHI I've ever had in Miami. The menu is pretty sub-par for options, and the way they cut up the sushi is HORRENDOUS. I ordered the JB tempura roll (not my favorite roll, but they didn't have a whole lot to choose from). This roll was terrible. It was way too hot, they cut up the roll in HUGE chunks, very skimpy on the cream cheese, and the salmon had ZERO flavor, and very very dry. I didn't even finish it. I also had some salmon nigiri, and I can say is that it's way better at PUBLIX. I don't know why this spot has so many good reviews. They're fast, but the food is AWFUL.

A small little sushi place with good prices. Me and my wife went here after training at Steel Gym for a post workout mea. The food was good and fresh! Prices are good but don't expect a wow experience, it is what it is. Well worth the money if you're in the neighborhood and want a quick bite!

I've been coming to Go To Sushi for the longest time, since it's located in my way home. Super affordable, and good. I usually order the tofu steak (super yum!), veggie rolls and/or miso soup. All good and for less than $15. I have also tried their seaweed salad, and never disappoints. The veggie goysa, preferably steam, its a favorite too.

I just absolutely love this little hole in the wall sushi joint and this is why I keep coming back. The sushi is fantastic, priced extremely reasonably, and the staff is very friendly and personable. This is my "go to" sushi place when I just don't want to cook and/or I am very pressed for time and I am craving something healthy, quick, and tasty. I love the causal atmosphere and how I can show up in sweatpants and no makeup. No pressure to impress here, seating is limited to about 16 people. This is hands down my favorite little mom and pop comfort sushi spot. Typically, I go for one of the sushi combos/platters because it is everything you would want together in one order (a place that doesn't try to complicate things!). I love the P1, its great for two people because they literally give you exactly two of everything as far as a la carte sushi and then you also get an 8 piece California roll and an 8 piece tempura JB roll, what more could you ask for?? Priced at $29.95, it's a bargain! They also have mochi for dessert (my fave) and they sell authentic iced oolong and green tea. The parking is right in front and it is very easy to be in and out of here in 20 minutes or less for dining in. I just can't say enough great things about this place!

I like their Spider roll and Gyoza that are so fresh. They cook so quick, I don't have to wait too long. People are friendly and Sushi is very reasonable.

This place is amazing, quick food, fast service and great pricing the only down side is that we are sitting next to couple of annoying customs ....But besides that I highly recommend if in the area

A small restaurant but tasty food and affordable prices. The staff is great, very accommodating and even though they charge for extra sauce..I got an eel sauce for free ;) We tried the California roll, the steamed shrimp shumai, the shrimp tempura roll and another roll that comes with plantain. All of them were good and def a good choice. Will I be back? U bet I will.

Searched for sushi places in my area on yelp on a Saturday night and found this gem! All I wanted was a quick dinner to pick up and ordered 4 rolls that were not too fancy. I ordered the jb roll, the dragon roll, a roll with 3 types of raw fish - tuna, salmon, and another that tasted like crab meat and mayo. 4th roll was the salmon tempura. Each roll was amazing and tasted super fresh! Huge portions and each ingredient tasted freshly made. Trust this place at around 8 on a Saturday night! Wow! I can't wait to try the remainder of their menu. They also offer nice entrees. Will try them later! So happy for this place. Oh and affordable! Every roll was less than 10! You cannot beat that.

Very fresh sushi. The restaurant is very small; only three tables and a bar area but the staff are friendly and the service is fast.

Waited over 30 minutes for my order, when I got it I was disappointed. The JB tempura roll isnt as good as it used to be. Not nearly as many scallions. I felt my meal may have been rushed. The fried shumai was on point though. I will go back because this spot is just awesome. However I am just upset that my fave roll didnt taste the way it usually does.

This is a tiny hole in the wall sushi joint, dress code is beyond casual. The restaurant is really simple no frills no thrills. It has about 3 tables and a small counter where about 2 people could fit. There's also 2 small tables outside. The tables have plastic coverings and they only give paper plates, paper cups, and plastic utensils. We got their pork gyoza pan fried $4 which came with a vinegar based sauced, the dish was ok. All their appetizers are very inexpensive and they have a good variety from hot to cold dishes. We ordered a caterpillar roll $8.75 this had eel, crab, cream cheese, avocado, masago, and sesame. We also got a dragon roll $7.75 (this was my favorite out of the two rolls)that had fried shrimp, cream cheese, and avocado this came with eel sauce on the side. Both rolls were good and tasted fresh. We also tried their udon soup $8.75 and we added beef. The beef and the noodles come in a small bowl and the broth was brought separate in a cup. I enjoyed the soup but it was just a bit salty. Overall this place is very inexpensive sushi restaurant. This is not the best sushi you will ever have but for the price the food is good. The service could be better. Our table was dirty when we sat down even though there was no one in the restaurant. We learned from another patron that they have a frequent diner program but no one in the restaurant ever told is about it. Also the girl behind the counter was less then friendly she also almost gave me a heart attack when I was using the restroom and she was pounding on the door like there was a zombie apocalypse happening outside only to find out she wanted to get in to clean it...its called be courteous and wait for your customer to finish. After dining in I realized this is best as a takeout place.

I love go to sushi! It's always quite when I go it has a nice atmosphere and the sushi is big! It's like a nice little secret along Biscayne the staff is nice! It's not the most spectacle sushi but I haven't walked out upset so that's a plus.

My family and I have been going to this place for years now, the food is really good, they not only have sushi but also hot dishes, I had never been disappointed! I am a sushi lover and I am super picky with where I eat regarding hygiene and freshness of the food, I never had such an issue there, everything is always perfect! This place is great and the owner is nice as well !

No complaint here, except for the fact that I'm incapable of chowing down while sitting on a stool. I made the fatal mistake of doing just that while at Go to Sushi (maybe I've should've followed their advice). The food was great, there's nothing you can expect other than just a quality Japanese takeout/semi-dine-in establishment. The portions are huge, and I was reminded of that while placing my order. No sushi review here. I had the chicken teriyaki with noodles: awesome. I have a big appetite and couldn't finish it. Too bad I biking here is quite a distance, but if I lived near the area, this would be my Japanese joint.

So. my two sons and I sit down and order enough sushi and assorted appetizers to feed the entire Japanese consulate and I start to tell my kids about the reviews on the place, as I'm a first-timer, having arrived in Miami a few short weeks ago. "And then this idiot writes "SUPER NOM!" on the review. I hate it when people use "nom-nom," "yummers!," or the dreaded "superyumnomdelish!" We all laughed at how some people are just too "cutesy" to live in our society. Unfortunately, I said this loud enough for a lady at the next table to overhear... actually, for the entire place to hear) and she starts yelling at me. "I wrote that review!" she said with a puckered up face as if she had gotten a good whiff of her own breath. I smiled and winked, but she went into a tirade about how it's not HOW you write but WHAT you say about the place and how you make others feel. I thought of grunting at her and asking how that made her feel, but I didn't. I smiled again and turned back to my sons. When our dishes started arriving, I yelled, "OH, NOM-DELISH-SUPER-YUM!" The other diner shot me a bad look, like I should drop the whole thing immediately. But I'm from Brooklyn and dropping things is far from the culture of Flatbush. Rather than get into a long discussion with her on the proper attention to the language of English and its importance to communication and relaying thoughts that can be deciphered by the masses, I just plunged my two chopsticks into her eyes. "OW!" she replied, dropping her piece of tofu-something-or-another and spilling her brown rice. "Why would you do that?" "Nom don't know!" I said with a shrug, not that she could see that gesture. The food was wonderful. We'll be back, soon!

A fancy place on biscayne bvld. Looking for sushi on a saturday night we found that little treasure. The atmosphere is simple and the chefs are Asian. Good point 2 Asian families were here to have dinner with their kids. This sounds a good place. The quality of food is great for the price. Service is very quick. We had a miso soup, beef and shrimp teri don. The experience was pleasant.

Love this spot, it's so easy! Great staff, the food is very affordable. I am never disappointed when I eat here! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and easy meal. The deserts are delicious, especially the mochi green tea ice cream. It's a tiny restaurant that also delivers!

Probably the best sushi in town + real japanese food. Good quality. Unbeatable prices. I come here every week.

I can't sit here and speak to the freshness or quality of the sushi the way a sushi aficionado might be able to. The truth is that, while I've stepped outside of my anti-seafood box in recent years, I still can't be classified as adventurous. I usually stick to California rolls or some other concoction featuring tempura shrimp. What I CAN tell you is that Go To Sushi offers to its patrons low prices, a cozy space, and a broad selection of sushi and (for the rest of us) non-sushi apps and entrees. It's really tough to beat a place where you can get away with ordering a California roll, a rainbow roll, steamed gyoza, chicken teri-don (chicken teriyaki with mushrooms), and two sodas for about thirty bucks. It just doesn't happen anywhere else. Furthermore, so as not to focus solely on pricing, the food is exceptional, fast, and utterly convenient. You never have to wait for seating, and if you're too lazy to get out of bed, Go To Sushi is happy to deliver. There's just nothing this place does wrong. The people are great, the food is great, and its effect on your ever-dwindling savings is minimal. A total favorite of mine.

This place is the best bang for your buck for sure! Not only was the sushi very tasty and affordable, the rolls were cut in VERY generous portions! Also, we ordered their shrimp fried rice.. mmmh mmm hmmm ! it was exellent! So glad we found this place. Will Def be a repeat customer!

It is simply the BEST SUSHI IN MIAMI! Fresh, tasty, well seasoned and very loyal to the original Japanese cuisine!! The staff is FANTASTIC. Very friendly and helpful. Me and my wife have rolled all over Miami looking for good Sushi and this is it! We go there at least twice a week! They have great delivery service (preety much their core business) but there are a couple tables for those who like to dine in. Go there! You won't regret.

Been here a couple times now and if you're in the area and in the mood for some quick sushi, this place will hit the spot. They're definitely not reinventing the sushi wheel by any stretch of the imagination but if you're hungry and on a budget it works. I've had the Dragon roll a couple times and the flavors could use a kick. The pork egg rolls ROCK and the shrimp shumai, well, those took a minute to figure out. lol. So, it's a matter of coming in and trying things to see what works for you. The staff for the most part are great & friendly, with the possible exception of one portly guy taking your order at the front of the house. He's a total fun sponge. Sucked the fun right out of my last visit! LOL His monotone, colorless voice and matching personality make Ben Stein seem like the head cheerleader. I'm almost positive this kid has his own personal rain cloud following him around. :/ So, bring your appetite and your sense of adventure to Go To Sushi and find YOUR Favorites!

What a great surprise. I was looking for a place that served great sushi at a great price and was comfortable to go to. The food was perfect, even the tea. The people were friendly and the service was 5 I will let be back often.

Whenever the sushi craving hits (ok, whenever I'm too lazy to cook but still want to stay in the house), the aptly named Go To Sushi is my spot. $25 can get a platter that will easily fill two, and the rolls are both sizable and packed with quality ingredients. Unlike some competitors that will remain unnamed for now, Go To does a great job of not stuffing rolls with cheap "filler" ingredients, or adding massive quantities of rice. Order a roll with avocado and your taste buds will know it's there. They also send along sizable portions of wasabi, ginger, and eel sauce. No scrimping here. Also, the girl who works there is the nicest person in the world. I forget her name, but from taking my order on the phone to making sure I had everything I needed before leaving she was the nicest person. Go To, I don't know who she is, so give all your female cashiers a raise. TL;DR: Go to Sushi is the go to place to get to go. Got it?

Sushi is hardly ever my first choice but sometimes it's the best choice. I'd read the reviews on this place and eyed it when I was at the Federal. What can I say? The reviews are right on. Good sushi for a good price when you don't feel like cooking or putting on a nice shirt. I thought it was going to be much smaller and worried I might have to take out but it was fine. It's the kind of place you will look back on with your partner after 15 years of marriage, when success has carried you off to fancier restaurants and remember how romantic it was to be thrifty and eating $6 sushi off plastic tablecloths while E! Entertainment played on the television.

Worst service EVER!!!!! Ordered a JB roll with Tuna and spicy mayo was told I would be charged a $1.00 extra for exchanging tuna with salmon in this which I approved of. When I get the roll it had nothing but tuna and rice, no cream cheese, no spicy mayo. When I called to tell them this they put me on eternal hold, had to call back twice to get someone on the phone. Then the person that answered was not apologetic at all and just passed the phone to the chef which barely spoke English and just kept repeating if I was sure that the roll didn't have these things. Never ended up getting my $ back and they couldn't care less. The roll wasn't even good, it was dry and lackluster. NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!!!!

Excellent value for price paid. This is a small place in a stripmall near publix with good sushi at low prices. Miso soup was a bit salty, but where can you get a tasty salmon roll under five bucks these days?

  • Kathryn B.

Great spot for reasonably priced sushi, quick lunch spot, or if you are too lazy to cook! Always friendly service, I think the best part about this place is its convenience! They have drawings to win a $20 coupon If they forget an item on your order you get 10% off your next visit, they save the receipt Lunch special $3.00 - for an eggroll (veggie or pork), cup of miso soup or edamame, and a soda or water.

Solid, no-frills sushi spot. Good for lunch. Good fish and reasonably priced. It's clean and simple inside with decently speedy service.

Despite there being a Publix about two blocks from this place that also makes great sushi, I find myself coming back to Go To Sushi for the awesome lunch specials. The cooks are friendly and will accommodate whatever dietary restrictions you may have. Also, they deliver which is super convenient for those days you lose track of time and can't leave your desk. I'm not that brave and don't venture too far from the California roll but they have an impressive (read: covers the entire wall) menu that offer a variety of options. I've ordered the eggrolls (veggie) several times and they area hit or miss- sometimes soggy, sometimes crispy. Still, give them a try.

  • Tal T.

Solid! Go To Sushi is a self-fulfilling prophecy. My new go to sushi spot is reasonably priced, delivery is quick, and the food is fresh. Seriously, when was the last time you ordered sushi for two and it clocked in under $30? My most recent order was two rolls and an order of veggie egg rolls and I think it came to $26 (with delivery). The rice is properly sticky and the rolls are clearly made fresh. Bottom Line: Favorite every day sushi spot in Miami.

I love this place. The quality of the food is reasonable for the price. The only compliant is that I wish they would cut some of their roll pieces smaller. Some of the pieces are the size of a golf ball.

  • Ashlee M.

I had the veggie tempura roll and the miso soup. The miso soup was the best I've ever had. There was tons of tofu and green onions and no seaweed. Miso soup perfection! The veggie tempura roll on the other hand... It was delicious BUT (and this drives me nuts) was cut into the biggest pieces I've ever seen a roll cut into (I added a picture and tried to show scale). Bottom line, rolls should always be bite size. By the time you take a bite out of it it's a sloppy mess. It would be perfect if they just scaled it down and made it an 8 piece roll instead of 5 huge pieces.

The review is based solely on the food. I ordered Go To Sushi delivery today; had heard some good reviews of the food there. It arrived within 30 minutes - probably less, and still hot. But I was disappointed with the food. Items ordered: - vegetable gyoza - I requested them steamed. They were gewy, and felt a bit slimy. - tofu steak: the sauce was very thick and heavy, and felt overpowering. - volcano roll: did not have the traditional baked dynamite on top, rather they call it volcano sauce. It probably had some imitation crab meat, but no other seafood and the sauce was pretty cold The food was super cheap. All that for $20 including the delivery fee. However, I don't think I'll go or order from here again.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars but since I can't, I rounded up. I found myself on a Saturday, a few minutes after 10 pm, unable to find a place that would deliver sushi. I was in the mood for sushi but not in the mood for the less-than-stellar Iron Sushi. The Sake Room near my house didn't deliver, Little Lotus had their scooter break down, and I could not find any other sushi place that would deliver. I had passed by Go To Sushi several times and although I remember getting take out some years ago, I was pretty sure they didn't deliver. Apparently, that has changed because they took my order and arrived within 30 minutes. Score! They don't have big value sushi platters unfortunately, like Iron Sushi, but I was able to pick and choose rolls of my own liking instead. We settled on the spicy seaweed salad and the tuna tataki as appetizers, and the mad tuna roll, volcano, and CP9-Session which includes tekka (red tuna meat), golden rolls (shrimp tempura, avocado and eel), and JB rolls as our main courses. The spicy seaweed salad was pretty spicy. It's made with red seaweed, although it tastes very similar to the regular green seaweed salads, except it's spicy. It was different, although not the best seaweed I have had. The tuna tataki was fresh and came with a light-colored sauce which had a ginger-sesame flavor, different from the usual soy sauce. They also cover it with scallions, whereas other places cover it with garlic. The tuna was fresh and the sauce was a nice condiment. The spicy tuna roll was interesting, because this is the first time I get cooked tuna inside a roll, it's usually raw tuna in sort of a spicy mayo-like sauce. It had a good flavor although I think I prefer the raw tuna meat better, but maybe that's just because I am used to it. The volcano was probably my favorite. It was smooth yet spicy and with plenty of crab. I found myself fighting over this one... The CP-9 session had a decent variety of rolls and believe it or not, I didn't even realize I had eaten eel stuffed into the golden rolls until now, so there! They were pretty good, even though I thought eel would have a strong flavor. All in all, If you're looking for fresh sushi within a budget and no frills and you're sick of the stinky product coming out of Iron Sushi in downtown, this is your place. This isn't a sit-down place, but a delivery/takeout place so don't plan to come here for a date. Do order, bring your date home, watch a movie, and eat instead, though, for a personal, romantic experience. I'm glad I have a place I can order sushi from whenever I crave it without risking food poisoning or breaking the bank.

Let me preface with saying- I am NOT a sushi snob. I've never had fancy sushi and therefore am not very worldly when it comes to raw fish. I just know I like fresh fish, not that much rice, and reasonable prices. I didn't think that was possible in Miami- until now. I LOVE YOU GO-TO SUSHI. I am obsessed with this place. I've come here like 3 times the past week and a half. It's a little sketchy looking but it's right by the Federal so you know it can't be THAT bad right? Everyone I've dealt with there is pretty friendly-even the guy who doesn't speak English. My favorite rolls are the veggie roll and JB. The veggie roll is massive! Also the ginger dressing is amazing! I get it as a side for about 50 cents. Don't buy a side salad though- waste of $ for the size and quality. Their cooked food looks good too, but for now I'm lusting hard for the sushi.

  • Daniella S.

This place reminds me of a sushi joint on Washington and 15th on the beach and I'm glad it does, because like that place I can get my sushi fresh, quick and affordable. It's basically fast food sushi. Sometimes I just don't feel like stuffing my face with a burger, so I want something light and refreshing, but not at $15 a roll... The great thing about Go To Sushi, is that they will Go To You. Their delivery is reliable and timely, and if you're in the neighborhood you are more than welcome to order and eat there at the location. Just note again the affordability and "fast food" quality of the sushi. This is by no means a place to take a date.

I didn't care for this place. There's really nothing positive to say. It is very small, with 2 tables outside and a few inside. The menu is pasted up on the wall. The guy taking the orders didn't seem too interested in having my business. Not being a lover of fungi, I asked if the spring rolls had mushrooms in them, and he replied, "ah, well, I don't know." You think MAYBE he would go ask the cook??? He didn't, so I didn't order them. I ordered a box that included veg tempura, fried rice, and a salad. It was barely edible. The veg fried rice would be better described as confetti rice - and it tasted like it was fried in butter. The salad was lettuce with some decent ginger dressing. The tempura was waaaay too much batter and by the time I got it, it was soggy. Oh, there were sweet potatos in the mix that were pretty good - so, there's something positive! You order from the counter, then the guy brings it to you. The food is served in styrofoam, even though it was not a to-go order. WHAT? Styrofoam? Even after 100 years, that stuff doesn't degrade! Why are people still using it? It was not appealing in the least. I went here because someone recommended it and said they had good "tofu steaks". The tofu was soaked in teriaki sauce, and it was the only tofu option (I didn't have it, but my friend did and said it was acceptable). Everything else was meat, chicken or fish. Not a vegetarian paradise by any means. I definitely won't be back. I don't like writing bad reviews, but, I'm not going to lie either. This is more of a fast food joint than a restaurant. The best part of the meal was going next door to Baskin-Robbins for some sherbert to clean my palate.

Tiny place found in a equally tiny shopping mall off Biscayne and 51st. I was meeting a friend for lunch and we intended on going to The Federal but it was closed for lunch. My friend recommended this little sushi joint and we both entered this very small establishment with about 5-7 tables, if that. Service was friendly and fast and the menu simple and to the point. We both enjoyed our dishes, I had the Ocean Salad which was fresh and perfect for the steaming hot day. We split a Banana Tempura and called it a day. Don't look over this place, judging it by it's size and lack of glitz- it's on point and fast, especially good for a lunch rush.

I was tempted to give 5 stars just because they deliver to my place on NE 93rd St. But the sushi is really terrific. Not too much rice like other places and very fresh. So fresh that my pregnant wife feels comfortable eating from here once a week! If they had a little more variety on the raw rolls I'd consider 5 stars, but for the basics, there really is no need to try other places.

A lunch time staple for me. Close to the design district where I work and some of the most reasonable priced sushi in Miami. Is it amazing? No Is it a good value / taste for the price? Heck yes! Try the dragon roll if you go, it's a good value. They also have decently fresh eel for their sushi which can be hard to find. Tips: - JB roll is just a Philly Roll by another name - Combos are cheaper than buying individual rolls. - late lunch time after 1pm will make you the only customer Worth a drive to try their rolls, and the cost/value combination is phenomenal!

Wow. I just finished my first meal from this restaurant. This is some of the best sushi I've found in Miami. My husband and I split the Dragon, Caterpillar (my favorite), JB and California rolls. All four were filled with fresh-tasting, creamy fish. The rice was perfectly sticky, and the avocado plentiful. Far superior to other "fast food sushi" places, and better than many $15-20 rolls that I've tried. I've found my new go-to delivery place!

Had dinner with my sis and her boyfriend and we really enjoyed our time eating here. The food is great and the presentation was awesome. This is not the first I had sushi but this is definitely one of the best place to have one. Price is just right and definitely worth every penny.

I have to update my last review, as I have tried it a few other times now, and they have redeemed themselves. They are always quick, good prices, and pleasant on the phone. Carpaccio- great! JB roll- YUM! Tuna sushi- basic as you can get, but they do put a good amount of tuna in :) Spring rolls- tasty! I now order about once a week.

Had this place for lunch. Got the veggie egg roll which was greasy but then again it is fried. But I wouldn't order that again. The shrimp fried rice was good I loved the scallions that were in it. The dragon roll was good, I also ordered the California roll and the JB roll. Not the best sushi i've had but I wasn't disappoint. And for the price one cant complain.

Just no. Don't go, The place looks filthy, workers are unprofessional, the TV is blasting loud and the sushi is not good . I feel bad writing such a bad review but its true. I took 1 bite of my spicy tuna roll and left it. Asked for my check and left. Not good. Sorry

I probably order twice a week at least and felt compelled to finally write a review. Hands down my favorite sushi spot. Best sushi for the price which is very reasonable Quality of the food is consistent. I keep coming back again and again. Go to sushi is here to stay.

Let us begin with the important details starting with the fact that this is a take-out Sushi place, not your high end foo-foo sushi place. Second there are something to the effect of three tables inside, so don't expect any frills here, it is mostly take out. My daughter brought me here because she loves this place because it is a three B place (Bueno, Bonito, y Barato).. OK so basically that means "Good, Pretty and Cheap" - the "Pretty" in that saying never makes much sense because usually triple B really means Good AND Cheap. Its a saying so who am I to question the fact that Good and Cheap are rarely, if ever accompanied by Pretty, but I digress. We ordered a few things and upgraded, so for an extra $3 we got a drink, egg roll and Miso Soup as well as the rolls. We honestly didn't have to do that since the rest of our meal was plenty. The food is good, very good and the variety is overwhelming. I saw things on the menu I had never seen before, so I am looking forward to coming back to try some more deliciousness.

affordable sushi... need I say more? okay... the hot dishes aren't bad either. also, try the Miami heat roll if you are in the mood for something less traditional.

  • Nicole C.

I didn't like it. I ordered the Sakura combination plate which came with salmon sushi roll, california roll, and piece of tuna, salmon, shrimp and crab. The rice was kind of soggy, and the fish was really unappetizing laying on top of the rice. I actually spit out the shrimp, b/c aside from it being kind of rubbery, it tasted like a wet rag. This is not my first experience with sushi, so I know what I'm looking for when I eat sushi.

Nothing to say, it's too awesome!!!!! It's the greatest sushi I have ever eaten in America

HHmmm how do I review this place.. OK I think this review can be solved quickly with a mathematical equation. Speedy + Good Service(Fresh{Fish+Multiple Ingridients}+Pictures of the Sushi Rolls*Combo Meals)/My Stomach Limitations= Me Stuffed and Smiling! Now if you still have time.. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the parking lot. Its very small.. like tiny is a better word. I had to park in handicapped to get my food. (Sad, but better than parking on the street) I had the Rainbow Roll Combo, A Caribbean Roll and a Spicy Salmon Roll (I know I know.. I can't blame Yelp for gaining weight) ALL WERE EXCELLENT.. You can go here to see the menu (and pictures) fl.isawyourmenu.com/inde… **SIGH** I'm in love..

Ran in to pick up fast sushi very similar to giro but prices are higher and menu is much more confusing. The prices just went up I paid $5.00 for A bagel roll, and 4.85 form spring hirumaki that hadn1-2 small shrimp in one summer roll with a bunch of iceberg lettuce. The side sauce was amazing like a sweet and sour sauce. I would go back for sushi but I can see the prices used to be much cheaper.

Japanese chef, Japanese traditional food, in a Japanese size place. Nothing fancy, great for takeout, they have variety of (mostly traditional) food beside the sushi. It's a simple, small joint that's close to my home and I will go back.

This place is my local go to sushi. I mean they do deliver, but I prefer to stop by and just pick up or eat in. I almost always get the Salmon Taryaki, it's delicous. The staff is very nice and has the family business feel. They will make watever you want. The prices are ok, i mean the economy is hurting, so i can understand. So stop by, it is cozy and very enjoyable.

For take-out sushi, this is my go-to spot. For take-out sushi, it gets 5 stars. If it had frou-frou sushi, then prices would be higher, and people would want to eat inside. :) Emily V. hit the spot with her review. PROS: + convenient and fast + fresh + affordable, best bang for the buck + large, large menu, with pictures (pretty surprising for a take-out spot)

Cute little place, prices are good, quality is good. I had a combo that came with JB Roll and Cali roll for around $8 Not bad. Skip the fried JB roll, was kinda lame. Most places don't get this right so no big deal. It's worth a return trip.

Wow! I live in Morningside, and today I placed an order for delivery. I got some edamame, a spicy tuna roll, a tuna California roll, and a J.B. roll. My order was here in 20 minutes and the food (before tip) was $24. The food tasted great and was very fresh. RECOMMENDED!!

  • Kristen L.

Over the past few years, I have come to this place and I have never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh and the servers are always nice. It is alittle spot, good for a quick bite. I went yesterday and had a spicy tuna roll and a jb roll. Jb roll is out of my ordinary, but I was feeling fatty. The JB roll was amazing, super hot and fresh. The spicy tuna was good aswell. You can't go wrong with spicy tuna, it is simple and spicy. Both rolls came out to $12 and change. Not bad for a quick bite.

Authentic delicious fresh and fast. I love this sushi place and only go here for my Japanese food cravings when I'm in the area. Prices are reasonable too.

With all due respect, if you gave this place four or five stars you: A) Are from a small town in Montana B) Ate sushi for the first time at Go To Sushi. or C) Just got out of prison and feel that anything tastes better than prison food. I have ordered from there four times now as I was hoping it would get better. They messed up my order two of the four times I have ordered. The sushi is edible but that is about it. It is seemingly the only place which delivers sushi near my house, or I would not have given them more than one try, If you know what good sushi tastes like, you are better off getting the take-away sushi from Publix.

    (2)
  • Igor P.

. The man at the counter (I am guessing he is the owner since he is always there) is really friendly and the sushi is delish. Try the Dragon Roll, it's so gewd.

  • Miami Y.

OMG! This place was such a find! Its in the middle of nowhere on the Biscayne corridor next to Morningside. I was like lets test this place out for lunch and it was amazing! Now, the place is a little simple and only has 5 tables but it was out of this world! They are know for their delivery and takeout after talking to a few people about it in the area!. The Sushi rolls were fresh with big pieces of fish. Try the Salmon Tempura Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll. The Yaki Udon with Chicken was large and awesome! This is what I call a good old Asian spot!

  • Ken D.

Fast=Yes Friendly=Yes Priced well=Yes Will I Order Again=Yes BUT, if you're looking for sushi that has sharp separation of delicate flavors, this isn't it. What we had (Golden roll, JB Tempura roll, Dragon roll) was good, but a bit muddy. Now, I'm writing this the morning after which is always the important test of sushi: living to tell about it. No problems there. So, with expectations managed, and a hankering for sushi, place an order at Go To Sushi. It reminds me of a comedy routine that I heard years ago of a telephone call to Dominos which went something like this: Guy: Is your pizza good? Dominos: We'll bring it over. Guy: Is it fresh? Dominos: We'll bring it over. Guy: Is it cheap? Dominos: We'll bring it over. Guy: Ok, bring it over. This is like the Japanese version of that routine. So, why not just let them bring it over?

Above average and convenient 3.5 star delivery sushi hole in the wall. It's also a no frills sit down spot with 3-4 tables inside 1 outside. The service and delivery are speedy while not detrimental to the quality of the rolls. Also offers a good variety of rolls and combinations.

  • Shan W.

I got the jb roll (loooove salmon) and so far its the only place I've seen where the salmon isn't a thin little strip... that roll was stuffed with salmon! Under $5, its amazing! It would be 5 stars but I have been there 2x and they still haven't had the green tea latte... I wanna try it! Edit: 11/25: This place isn't for amazing, knock you off your feet sushi. If you are on a tight budget like me and don't have $15 to spend for a single roll, this is the place... It's good sushi for the price... don't take it so seriously, (PS, I still love the JB roll. Amazing) Oh and the guy said the green tea latte prob won't be back - the wife who makes them is a stay at home mom now lol...

This is the best, most authentic sushi restaurant in Miami. Usually Miami sushi restaurants only offer the most popular, trendy, mainstream sushi options. This is certainly NOT the case at Go To! I have been in Miami for over 2 years, and this past spring I FiNALLY found some INARI SUSHI! My personal favorite. The sushi chef is...get ready for it...actually Japanese! Unlike every other sushi joint in Miami. I'm a sushi snob. This is because I grew up in the sushi capital of North America - Vancouver, BC. There, you can throw a rock and hit at least 10 sushi restaurants, all of which will be delicious and authentic. Not so in Miami. Go To is totally authentic, with friendly, fast service, and delicious, genuine Japanese green tea. They will also deliver to my place in Brickell if I sweet talk them a little bit on the phone! Price is great, super cheap especially for the high quality. My boyfriend and I regularly stuff ourselves for under $20. The ingredients are always fresh and the place is pretty clean. If you need a lot of food, the party plates are dirt cheap! Hole-in-the-wall sushi restaurants are always the best, and this one is no different.

First, let me start by saying I do not eat sushi unless my husband insists we got to a Asian restaurant.I was pleasantly surprised by this place. My husband really liked it also. There was an extensive menu and even if you do not want sushi you can eat a hot cooked entree. This place had a nice intimate setting and appeared clean. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered.Prices were not bad at all also. Starter:We got both steamed but you can have it pan or deep fried 1.Veggi Gyoza-veggie dumpling. It was good especially with the sauce 2.Shumai-shrimp dumpling.these were melt in your mouth good but just not enough between two people Sushi:we ordered quite a few rolls.I only eat tempura or cooked but my hubbie insisted on raw ones too 1.Salmon California-smoked salmon, avocado, cucumber. My hubby gobbled it up.I didnt taste it but he didnt have any complaints 2.Tempura JB Roll-fried roll with cooked salmon, cream cheese. It was very tasty and quite filling. 3.Caterpillar-Eel,crab,creamcheese,avacado,eel sauce. My hubby says it was really good.He ate them all. 4.Carribean-fried shrimp, avocado, plantain,I did w/o the spicy mayo. These were huge and hit the spot.Tasty also 5.Black Pearl-fried crab, cucumber, ginger.caviar, shrimp, avacado on top.I was hesistant b/c of the caviar but it was suprisingly tasty with a nice bite to it. Hot entree: Shrimp Teribox-teriyaki shrimp, mushrooms, veggie rice. This satisfied us greatly but the portion of rice was too small. Overall this was good.Next time my hubby craves sushi this is our go to spot for sure.

The "Session" and "Apollo" sushi rolls combos here are great. Not the finest sushi around, but pretty affordable when you're on the run. On the downside, the place is a quite dirty and unkempt. And to go to the bathroom you have to traverse some squalid corridor, which in turn grosses you out and clears out your appetite. I only go here if I'm craving a quasi sushi-flavor that can fill me up for less than 10 dollars. DON'T go here if you're looking for quality material for your date. It's a rare case where the quantity prevails over the quality.

Formerly Hiro's Sushi Express, and pretty much the same thing, under a different name, Go To Sushi offers a large sushi selection (mainly rolls) for very affordable prices. Their menu is online at isawyourmenu.com - check it out. I'd been to Hiro's a few times, and was always pretty impressed. My co-workers have ordered from Go To Sushi a few times, and continue to rave about it, so I went ahead and took the plunge myself. Some co-workers and I split the 4-person Typhoon platter, which comes with a selection of about 8 or so rolls, all for the low, low price of $38.00. It was definitely a very filling meal for under $10 (which is about what I'd spend for lunch at any place around Midtown). Go To Sushi also offers Japanese entrees, including tempura, various teriyaki, and even some udon bowls. They have pictures on the wall to show you exactly what it is you're ordering. Aside from the platter-style combos, they also offer individual-sized combos that include a roll or 2, or some sashimi and a roll, or just sashimi. There are a few tables inside, if you choose to dine in, but most people either get it delivered or come pick it up. I think they charge a fee for delivery, but I'm not sure what it is. I'll definitely be back to Go To Sushi - it beats Publix sushi hands-down, for reasonably priced sushi in a hurry.

Omg! They deliver to my house!! This place is awesome. I loved my spicy tuna roll, it was actually spicy. The volcano roll is also good but can easily be made great by removing the cream cheese. (cream cheese + sushi = the devil). The green tea latte is good too. I can't wait to try more of the menu!!

  • Steven D.

What can I say? The best spicy tuna in all of Miami! The prices are great the sushi is incredible! This is a must stop for any sushi lover!! For get the over priced sushi on SOBE or some of the other hotels Go To Sushi has a friendly staff as well. Only down side is its small and parking can be limited. Still a diamond in the rough. I only gave it 4 stars because I want to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I'll be back in a week or so and check the consistency of the food.

Amazing doesn't begin to cover this place. I must admit when I was a little scared when I sat down in this tiny poor lite place, but I had to see what all the fuss was about. I enjoy how the menu is set up along the wall. It makes it easier to order, no surprise sushi. The sushi I ordered was incredible. The JB tempura rolls were large and more than enough for me. Besides being close to my house, it is the best sushi place that delivers around here that is cheap and fast. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants quality sushi for a good price.

I was afraid to eat in this hole in the wall restaurant until my friend mentioned how good it was two years ago. I was craving sushi one day and decided to finally be brave and try this place out. To sum up how I liked their food: I take out at least once a week from Go To since then. The service is speedy and the sushi is consistently fresh and tasty. Their chicken fried rice is yummy and their mochi green tea ice cream is terrific. The best part is their prices are unbeatable-An order of chicken fried rice, sushi roll, edamame, and Mochi green tea ice-cream for under $20, unheard of in Miami!

I don't understand why lately most of the yelp reviews are 4 to 5 starts, even for places like Go to Sushi that offers one of the worst sushi's I've had in a while. My husband and I decided to check it out after reading some of the reviews and we were quite disappointed. I understand this is "go to" sushi, meaning fast-food Japanese style but come on, a "volcano" roll served cold???? and with tons of cream cheese to make up for the unappetizing volcano sauce? We also ordered the sashimi, which wasn't as bad, but I've definitely have had fresher salmon elsewhere. Anyhow, I will not be going to this place again nor do I agree with the 4 star rating it's receiving... Come on people let's not lose our objectivity. I do have to thank this restaurant for something.. It made me want to come back to Yelp and start reviewing again.

If you're like me, you LOVE supporting local business! Especially when the food is fresh and yummy and the staff/owner are lovely individuals! I can honestly say I eat here 2x a week and between phone orders, delivery and even eating on location (at one of their 6 tables) I've never had a bad experience. It's fresh, affordable food from friendly locals. Just don't go to eat there (it's def a to go place).

I got the bento (lunch) box for $8.50 and it came with sushi, tempura, and miso soup. I'm full and there's still some tempura left over. The fish was pretty good and miso soup was excellent. Sushi is Japanese fast food. It's supposed to be cheap and filling and they deliver. If you want some expensive fancy asian fusion nonsense, go to South Beach. If you want lunch, Go To Sushi.

  • Diana H.

This place is run down and I think you'll enjoy the food a lot more if you don't linger enough to take a closer look around. They are very friendly and deliver. Some places don't accept credit card when you want it delivered but this place does and that's a definite plus. Their rolls are pretty damn good and very affordable; it's the best sushi in my area.

    (4)
  • Elizabeth D.

When I think about fast food sushi, my only request is that the food is consistently good and the prices are cheap. Go-To-Sushi gets 5 stars in these aspects. They used to be Hiro's Sushi Express - a brand that is known for good quality fast sushi. They continue to deliver the goods. The staff is friendly, and the menu is pretty big. They have plenty of rolls (ranging from $3 - $8) and roll combinations, as well as Japanese foods. There's not much else to say except - if you want a cheap and tasty lunch or dinner - skip the Taco Bell and grab the relatively healthy alternative. They're open til 10PM on most days, 9 PM on Sundays.

  • Eva R.

It is cheap but you get what you pay for. Nothing fancy, fresh fish, but not the best I have ever had. WE spent $45 and we couldn't finish it. Good if you want the basics and you want something fast, but don't go there if you really want to enjoy the whole experience. Convinience is its key thing.

This place is an excellent value! The sushi isn't 5-star but its great for the price and convenience. They're fast and they deliver. Their Dragon Rolls and Spicy Seawead Salad are AMAZING! A must try if you're looking for affordable sushi on the go.

Besides the fact that the owners are the nicest and most generous people ever, the food is worth every penny. Possibly even worth more than the pennies they charge. They don't require a minimum for credit cards and they have spicy seaweed salad--it's like Iron Sushi times 500.

i'm too lazy to drive to the worst publix ever (48th & biscayne) and bust out the steamer, so i end up ordering from pretty much the only place that will deliver sushi to me with an online menu. their website, which has not been working for me anytime before that i've tried to open it, finally works so i see it as my destiny for delivery. i call to place my order and the person that answers the phone must be twittering because i'm asked to repeat my 4 item order 5 times. i'm told at first it's going to take 20-30 mins and by the time i hang up, eta is 1 hour. just as i'm about to call and ask if i should drive over and pick up the order instead, i hear the knock knock at the door. my little bag is handed over and i have to search around my apartment for a pen since the driver didn't have one. i start my movie and it's time to eat - or so i thought. i had to refrigerate my spicy tuna hand roll ($3.75) and my sakura combo ($7.75) because they were warmer than the soggy pork gyoza ($3.75). my edamame ($3.50) are pretty tasteless and overdone and i can barely finish them. maybe Eraserhead wasn't the best choice for dinner theatre - i'm slowly losing my appetite. the rolls and peices are pretty decent and overall for the low price and the fact that it's delivery ($3) what did i expect? it doesn't look like i'll be "going to" get sushi here anytime soon though.

Let's just say it gets the job done. When I'm not in the mood to drive down my garage to get some food and I'm looking for something fast and light, I call up go to sushi for delivery. However, I have mixed feelings about this place. I like that it's fast and that's it's sushi, but I'm always left feeling a little disappointed. Their tuna sashimi quality is great, but their rolls...eh... Each roll is a slight variation of the other and none are outstanding or worth mentioning. But, some evenings I tend to be lazy and want something healthy and light, and in that respect, it gets the job done.

Fast, the food is good...the basics. Think Fast food sushi...all they need is a drive thru. The prices are right in my budget. They also have pictures for everything so if you are new to the sushi experience, its perfect!

  • Sonia S.

The prices are excellent and 90% of the time I have had delicious, fresh sushi, whether rolls or nigiri. However, on a few occasions, I have had sushi that was cut improperly, resulting in touch stringy connective tissue that you can't bite through. The platter for 2 is perfect for $23.00, and three people could even share it if they weren't starving. Can't beat that price! I would not recommend any of the hot appetizers - gyoza, spring roll, etc. - or the children's meal, though. Those are poorly prepared, without any flavor, and I suspect, microwaved. I would recommend calling ahead for take-out orders otherwise it can take some time.

Very fresh sushi. The restaurant is very small; only three tables and a bar area but the staff are friendly and the service is fast.

Probably the best sushi in town + real japanese food. Good quality. Unbeatable prices. I come here every week.

So. my two sons and I sit down and order enough sushi and assorted appetizers to feed the entire Japanese consulate and I start to tell my kids about the reviews on the place, as I'm a first-timer, having arrived in Miami a few short weeks ago.

Great spot for reasonably priced sushi, quick lunch spot, or if you are too lazy to cook! Always friendly service, I think the best part about this place is its convenience! They have drawings to win a $20 coupon If they forget an item on your order you get 10% off your next visit, they save the receipt Lunch special $3.00 - for an eggroll (veggie or pork), cup of miso soup or edamame, and a soda or water.

    (5)

This place has okay sushi! The fried rice is pretty good! And the sushi is a 7/10.

It is seemingly the only place which delivers sushi near my house, or I would not have given them more than one try, If you know what good sushi tastes like, you are better off getting the take-away sushi from Publix.

. The man at the counter (I am guessing he is the owner since he is always there) is really friendly and the sushi is delish. Try the Dragon Roll, it's so gewd.

Fast Delivery and small eat in area.. maybe room for 10.. Food is good and prices are cheap. I eat here once a week and enjoy the "pictures of food menu" kinda quirky but effective. Good Sushi.. Not Amazing but absolutely good.

Good local sushiya. Dine in, take out or delivery. Very friendly staff, too! Some nice custom dishes that will have your taste buds wondering why it took so long to find Go To Sushi! Enjoy!
