There food is always delicious, the location is nice you can sit inside or outside. Service time is short and the staff is very nice. There restrooms can be cleaner but not so bad you can't use it.

Whenever I want to break my diet, Five Guys is my to-go-to spot. I ordered my Little Cheeseburger with the Fries and a Drink. The soda was a bit off, as if the machine was running out of syrup. The burger and fries (plenty) were perfectly cooked! However, as people mentioned, the staff is not friendly at all. It wouldn't hurt to smile! :)

Love the burgers here. Usually this place is fairly quick. Today although it's not even busy it's taking s long time. Doesn't seem like there's a manger on duty and the kitchen is just slacking around. Over 10 minutes waiting. Something definitely seems off today although I have one close to my house I usually like this one bc of service.

Really like the layout of restaurant love how it looks all retro. Burger I got was fantastic enjoyed till the last bite. Fries was also great wasn't to soggy and had a nice crunch to it which was just satisfying. The staff was friendly gave no problems and was helpful right up until the end of my visit. Five guys keep up the good work and you will keep me coming back.

This is a great burger and fries joint. This is where I go for a "food cheat day"--it's not something to eat every day. It is very clean and you can watch them make your food and snack on peanuts while doing so. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that you get. I also really like the staff here -they are very pleasant---it takes a lot to stand behind a counter all day or cook in front of those hot cooking areas so for anyone to produce a smile speaks volumes in my eyes. ****A particular note to Shirley who took my order and was so sweet and kind**** Definitely recommend this place for a burger/fries meal in Midtown and for those who have "food cheat day"

I love Five Guys, but this location made me want to rethink my love. Walking in I realized how much dirtier this location is from the others I frequent. The staff is unprofessional and it made the overall experience unpleasant. Yes, the food was cooked to order, but the experience was enough to not make me come back to this location.

I love a good burger normally I love Five Guys (that doesn't sound right, does it?) but the experience I had here leaves much to be desired. I was in sort of a rush when I came in and saw there was a short line so I figured I'd press my luck and go. The line moved quickly and I ordered. I sat down and began to wait. As I waited I noticed a few people retuning their food and returning to their seats with unhappy faces. Not a good sign. About 10 minutes later I got my food. I didn't get my burger how I ordered. I will say, I did not complain because at this point it wasn't a big enough deal to warrant getting a brand new burger. I have to say though, the food, for me has really gone downhill. I spent $13 on a burger, fries and a drink and wasn't truly that satisfied. I remember the days when you always had something to take home with you. It was a rarity to eat ALL those fries after eating a burger with 2 patties. If you're going to charge that much, then give me something for it. I do understand and appreciate the idea of buying local food and the cost associated with it, but there is no quality or "love" going into the food here. The place was clean at least and the music is always good, so there's that, but really I kind of wish I didn't go there because it's smeared the Five Guys name for me.

We as a family generally like five guys..... but our experience at this location was terrible. We ordered a plain blt, and after three.... yes three.... remakes we gave up. It was for our 9 year old, who is very picky. .. and they kept getting it wrong...... first it wasn't even a blt. ... it was a bacon cheeseburger.... next time it had mayo all over it, even though it was made clear that it was to be plain..... then the third time we received a plain cheeseburger. ...... by this time the rest of us were finished eating and the 9 year old was still eating fries. After this experience. ..... it will be awhile before we consider another five guys.

So, so disappointed. I used to love Five Guys! I have been on a 'you're 2 months behind the rest of superficial Miami, so try to get summertime fine before Labor Day' kick so have tried to kick my red meat and deep fried potato sticks habit, but today I had an intense craving and caved. I used to frequent the one in the Gables, but since I moved, went to the Midtown location. I walked in and no greeting, just stares from red shirts as if they've never seen a human before. There were literally no patrons inside the place, so it wasn't like they were busy topping off burgers or something. I place my order, then sit to wait for my number to be called. About 5 min in, a male Five Guys employee comes from outside and plops right in the chair next to me (remember, the inside was completely empty....plenty of other chairs to choose from). Super random and strange. I admittedly give a super strange + bitchy look and he eventually decides to get up. This same weirdo, then walks to the counter and sticks his bare hands in the peanut container and starts eating FROM the box, dropping shells back inside the box as he eats. COMPLETELY GROSS. He must have sensed my distaste, and seemingly with glee for getting under my skin, turns and asks me "you want some peanuts?" Have no clue where management was today (I'm making the assumption management was missing, b/c if they were in the back (or hell, for all I know in the front watching), this is embarrassing and utterly unprofessional). I'm giving 2 stars only because, although I have to agree with others in terms of the decline of quality, the food still gets a solid B-. Hotdogs are still too salty, but the burger and fries were still considered above average for a fast food joint, imho. I won't blacklist Five Guys completely, but will definitely never go back to this particular UNSANITARY establishment with immature, unprofessional (even for a burger place) and flat out STRANGE STAFF.

I try thinking of something good to say about this place, but nothing good comes to mind. I have always been a fan of Five Guys, but this place lacks in customer service. When we ordered a LARGE cajun fries for three people to share, the cashier rang us up for a small. Sadly, we only noticed how small it was because we got our food. When we mentioned it to the guy who handed us our food, he just shrugs and points to the lady that rang us up and said go stand in the line. Obviously the point of us asking you is because we don't want to stand in the large line, you idiot.....By this time, a thousand people and their mothers were in the place as opposed to when we entered and there was only like 4 people. So we just walked out. At the Five guys in Gainesville, they would try to get rid of their fries and give EVERYONE fries every single time! They would all say hi to you and talk to you like they were your friends. So what I am getting at is that thisthis five guys will NOT be getting more money from me! Had I known before hand that they were going to be so rude, I would have left my ketchup spill on the counter instead of cleaning it up.

I had to see what the big deal was about those greasy brown bags. As an herbivore, I wasn't expecting much at a bland-looking burger joint. I had two options: the veggie sandwich (which is basically just the burger toppings) or the grilled cheese. The guy behind the counter recommended the latter, so I ordered it with tomatoes, so it had at least a little nutritional value. Their fries portions are huge and a small was enough for me and the boyfriend to share. I really tried not to like my sloppy sandwich, but it was delicious. I scarfed down the whole thing. I ate more fries than I thought I would and the boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his cheeseburger. Bonus points for Root Beer AND Cherry Coke! Yum!

Tasty burgers and huge portions of fries. Great place to go after a day of shopping if you are looking for a quick, cheap meal!

Really good! Especially when you're hungry. At first I wasnt a big 5 guys fan but after the third time it really gets good and you come to appreciate the no nonsense, straight meat that they serve w exceptional service. I always get the double with cheese, lettuce, and mayo and it never disappoints. If you have a few minutes more than your average fast food trip I highly recommend this 5 Guys.

  • Nancy A.

the service is great no matter how packed they are but i got to say it is just tooo greasy for my taste! found something in the menu that looked like it wouldn't be giving me a heart attack (the grilled cheese) and it was good but wont be going often maybe only when the boyfriend is mad and i got to impress with my male understanding

I'll admit - it's not good for you. But....if happiness was good for you, then eating 5 guys cheeseburgers makes me very happy, and I would have nothing to worry about.

I've been eating here pretty much since the day it opened. It might have been the second or third day, but whatever, who's counting! The food here has always been consistently good, the fries are always great no matter what part of Idaho they come from. That's one of the cool things about this place, they tell you where the potatoes come from on that particular day, and yes you can tell the difference. A regular burger, fries, and a drink will set you back $11 but that's the price we pay today for good quality food I guess. I always leave full and rarely able to eat all my fries. No problem, just eat the ones in the bag and leave the ones in the cup for the next day to reheat in the toaster!

  • Jessica A.

Whenever I need to satisfy my burger craving this is my place to go...yumm yumm is what I have to say about Five Guys. The burgers are fresh and made to your liking. Fries are hand cut and easily shareable. The service is even quick!!! What's not to like about this place??

    (5)
  • Jay H.

I'm not going to speak for this exact location, just focusing on the Five Guys chain. I just don't fucking get it. Why all the ranting and raving over what is clearly a glorified Wendys? The burgers are sloppy and everything has been given a nice grease bath. This is what I payed 11 bucks for? Ouch. And you can yap all you want about the generously colossal portion of fries, but they're sub-par at best. Actually, they blow, and are probably the reason why you're so fat. I like a burger and fries as much as the next guy, but I don't need to leave with soaring blood pressure. Oh and while I'm at it, the interior sucks.

So this is my first time at a five guys, believe it or not! I still think that Steak 'n Shake is exponentially better.... I was not impressed at all.

I am always greeted with a friendly hello! Delicious, melty, amazing burgers! Once you go 5 guys you compare all burgers to it! This Midtown location always appears to be clean and when I place my order online- they have it waiting for me by the time I get to them!

  • Jessica E.

Okay. A little too greasy for me.

After taking my li'l 'un to run an errand for her in DASH I was starving. Funny thing is that I had never been so while I waited, the sun was hitting me in the eyes and I see a restaurant right IN FRONT of the High School, as I make out the writing on the umbrellas.. Martinez.. OH MRS. MARTINEZ.. but no, too expensive and we were STARVING. But now I know so when I am ready to Yelp an expensive place I know how to get there. Midtown Mall here we come... We find this joint and like Paul W. remember that it has been Yelped countless times. OK this place is a solid 3. The burger was really good, I got the small one, 3 oz with grilled onions and Jalapenos. Not enough onions and too much Jalapeno. We also got the regular fries and the Cajun. I didn't love either. The Cajun seasonings were too much and the fries were overcooked. I will return if I am in the area, the burgers tasted good, I am just have to ask for more of the Onions on it, and no Jalapenos.. those are raw with seeds, and I LIKE hot, this was just too much so. Still the price beat anything we could have gotten at Mrs. Martinez, so I was happy and went next door to spend my money at Target (Tarjaaayy).

  • Natalie Q.

I try to visit this place at least once a week but my husband will not have it. So I settle for once about every two weeks. The burgers are the best around for the price. Although they are not cooked to order, they are made perfectly. The fries are the perfect compliment. Hubby likes to have the hot dogs instead of burgers those are great too! Like I said, I am a regular here. I always call in my order, cuts down on the wait time substantially. Once the servers recognize me they quickly get my order together to get me out ASAP. The service can lag at times with new team members. But they are improving. You have to recognize improvement no matter how small, positive reinforcement.

Had to get some stuff @ Target so for lunch got myself a little (actually pretty big) Bacon Cheeseburger and some cajun fries Very good burger and the are the right amount of spicy The small fries are big enough for two so keep that in mind when ordering The free peanuts remind me of the now out of business Roadhouse Grill which I worked at a loooonnnggggg time ago Brought back some pretty cool memories and some not so nice ones(picking up al those damn peanut shells) Yay! I'm a fan

Great CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD. The music is awesome and the food is even better. The manager Chris saw that I was upset from a problem with the restaurant next door, He invited me in and even treated me to a soda. All the staff is super friendly and they get everything right the 1st time and make everything fresh! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Thanks for caring about your customers. Wish you all much success in the future!!!

If you've been to In N Out Burger on the West coast, this place will seem familiar. Basic burger joint, w/ only a few items on the menu, keeping it real simple. What's w/the peanuts? Free peanuts belong in a bar. Which I might add, I haven't found a bar in Miami that does have free peanuts or pretzels, but that's another story. I don't think I've ever had burgers and peanuts in the same sitting. I'm not complaining, it's just an odd combination. I guess I'll just have to get use to it, because I'll be back.

  • Jordan N.

Good burgers, good fries. But if I wanted a tasty American burger that's higher than your average burger price, I still probably would just head over to Kingdom. This place didn't really impress me much but I've heard people speak of the bacon burgers here - which I didn't have. If I didn't know of its accolades, and just ate here, I wouldn't have thought anything of this place.

  • Nicole S.

Love this place. The line always appears long but, moves very quickly. In and out in 10 mins. The burgers & fries are delicious. Wide range of toppings (mushrooms, bacon, onions etc) Parking in garage is free for first hour which is a plus. Price is comparable to what you would pay in McDonald's for something not as equally good. Online ordering is also available - for those of you in a rush !!

Not truly different from the other five guys around town and now around the eastern US. The food is great, the fries are the best around, and the service is always top notch. There are a few tables outside. For nice day seating, the refills are free, and the bathrooms are clean. What I always do enjoy about this particular five guys is that the staff is amazing at getting large groups of people through line at busy lunch rush times. That alone makes this an easy quick lunch hour spot that taste amazing.

About the only thing positive I can think of to write about this Five Guys is that the burgers are better than McWendyKing. First, I had to pay to park. Then I noted that, although cooked to order, the burgers are only available over-done. They are dripping with the grease from the flattop grill, but I would prefer juicy to greasy. Even if you are going to eat in the restaurant, your burger gets wrapped, put in a bag, and covered with fries. No trays, no baskets. So, when you sit down, you have to put your hand in the bag and dig under the fries for your burger, unwrap it, and eat it off of the spread out wrapper. Unless you like to eat off of the table. Then, what to do with the fries? Well, you have to eat them out of the bag. By now, the fries have been steamed in the bag, and are not at all crispy - indeed, rather limp. Yes they are made from fresh potatoes, yes there are bits of skin on them, but they are not ideally cooked. I got to see the digital temperature setting on the fryers. It was 345-degrees. No wonder they are limp and greasy! Although overdone, the cheeseburger was tasty. If your standard of burgerdom is the giant, corporate fast-food chains, then this chain is heaven-sent. There are better choices, unless you live or work next door and it's a matter of convenience. P.S. I tried the one in West Dade, and the fries were the same.

Of all the burger joints--from shmancy steak houses to McD's--Five Guys burgers are the best! Juicy, tasty, everything a dude could want. The best burger is a cheese burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, raw onion, pickels and.... hot sauce. Their hot sauce is AMAZING. And let's not forget the cajun fries. Soooo good.

The Five Guys in Midtown holds a special place in my heart (and arteries). It was the first Five Guys to open in Miami *tear* Five Guys, I love having you in Miami. The little hamburgers are huge. If you're a small eater, you're going to have a hard time finishing one, so don't even think about getting a regular burger. And the regular serving of fries are big enough to feed 4 people.

I wish I didn't love you so much, Five Guys. I like to think of myself as monogamous (I am married, after all), and not as one prone to playing around with Five Guys. However, I do, and did today again. Now, I feel the overwhelming guilt of having done what I did with Five Guys, and have a strange tight feeling in my jeans even hours after our afternoon delight. Oh, when will I learn to stay away from you men? When will I learn? Probably never. See you again soon for our next booty call.

  • NORI R.

I love this place because its so down home plain and burgers are like mom's homemade ( better ! ) and the small order of fries is like an entire bag of fries its enough for three people ! The peanuts in the shell keep my little boy busy while we wait and its better than McDs or BK, its good food . This location is near lots of shopping and eating outside is very nice if the weather is good. Parking is a bit of an issue you can park in the garage or circle around until you find a space on the side of the restaurant and double park. Pet friendly lots of people sit out there with their small pets.

Heart Attack on a plate, if you like that go ahead... Tasty fries...! I do not like the cold lifeless feeling inside, but plenty of outside seating.. ate there once..

  • Celia M.

We stood in line, ordered, and got our food within 10 minutes. I know this may not necessarily be the case every day but that's why you take a late lunch when you come here. Great burger + toppings of your choosing + a greasy cup full of fries=I'm calling in fat tomorrow... Yup, those were my exact feelings when leaving Five Guys; but I knew that would be a shitty excuse so I just drove back to work.

Horrible. Went there with Deborah Z. and had the worst service of my entire life when a rude employees mistake caused 1 out of our 8 to not get food and then was refused to be served because they were closed. After discussing this with the sites owner at a corporate level via email the only apology I got was "things happen that are unavoidable" or "I can't change what happened that night" or "there is a strong possibility that no one did anything "wrong." Never fully admitting that the way we were treated that night was wrong. And the icing on the cake is that even though I proved we ordered way before closing by emailing corporate copies of our receipts, I was told that their "system was off by 10 minutes" thus they had a right to close the restaurant on us and not serve our friend. Really? I mean if this is the response from a corporate level/store owner, how would you expect anything better at the store level. I'm not only giving them a bad review because of this one bad experience but also because I'm a foodie and 5 Guys... sucks... in my personal opinion. It's greasy and heavy and thrown in a bag. It doesn't hold a candle to its competition like Shake Shack on Lincoln or In & Out in California. That is how sub-par their food is --- I rather hold out for California!!! Pair mediocre food with horrible service and its a disaster. At least at McDonald's their food is crap but their servers are friendly. Its cool though, I can live without 5 Guys for the rest of my life, as can my family and probably all 7 of my friends who were there that night. I'm doing my part by letting the rest of you know here on yelp. Definitely DO NOT go in for a late meal!!! (Maybe I should be fair, as Dee Dee was and say that this only pertains to this location and would not be fair for me to assume all 5 Guys have horrible service.)

No fufu (foo foo), nonsense, overpriced burger here. Just a solid, delicious meal made in less that seven minutes. BONUS: Sweet Tea is available.

  • Jason W.

very comparable to in and out, and i honestly cant say which one is better. In n Out Pros: animal style anything, shakes are better. Five guy pros: cajun seasoning, more toppings on the burger. It tearin up my heart! I do like five guys variety in toppings for the burger, and they do seem a bit bigger. Still In n Out gives you the choice of adding more patties for fatties. I may stay loyal to the In n Out chains just cause i am a frequent customer, but five guys was a pleasant suprise and i would always come back for that cajun seasoning over a monstrous burger. oo and their lines are formed by big potato sacs lined across the wall. very atypical.

    (4)
  • Jennifer K.

My burger was decent. I liked that they have an option to order a smaller size. The cajun seasoned fries were really good! They are a little heavy on the oil factor but I absolutely loved the flavors. Ultimately in and out is still my #1.

I give this place three stars because the food is really good. The fries and burgers are great...so yummy!!!! When I first went to five guys we wanted to eat there all the time, we couldn't get enough. I later found out about the calories in there burgers and the fries and I quickly changed my mind about eating here so often. I could not believe how many calories were in one little burger. I wish there food was not so bad for you, because it tastes great, but health is more important. -Melissa Marie =)

I have never loved a man,the way I love you (Yes, all 5 of you lol) For the record, I am the other girl that goes in with Evelyn D. I love cheese, especially grilled cheese. Im not sure what you do to my grilled cheese but keep on doing it. I love the staff, great service and fast. Im really glad they do not deliver.

This is what you call a burger, one of the best classic burger hands down and for a great price.

    (4)
  • David G.

There's nothing really wrong with 5-guys. In fact, I'd say that if you classify it in the "fast-food" category that there's a lot right with it. The burger is solid, the fries are good. In my experience, the staff has been great. Now that I think about it, it's very reminiscent of the In&Out burger that everyone in CA seems to be so fond of. I wouldn't go seek it out for a winning burger and I would definitely walk past if there's a long line like I've seen many times. However, given the choice of stopping by one of the mega-burger-chains and 5-guys, there is no choice.

Like most people here, I think the food is good yet greasy. The fries are good too, they're not rubbery or falling apart like in most places, but then again, greasy. I was surprised to see how clean the place was, it's not easy to find a fast food restaurant that serves good food, has good service, and is clean. I'd come back here. When my pimples clear....

  • Amber L.

Hoist your stones. Ready? I am not a fan of 5 Guys. There, I said it. Go ahead and throw those stones. I can take 'em. The bun is like a McDonald's small hamburger bun. Toasting it would probably help some but still, it needs to be more substantial to hold everything involved in a good burger. You get a sizeable amount of beef here but there's no flavor to it. None. There are plenty of toppings available but nothing could save the burger for me. The fries are...meh...okay. I didn't care for them but there were plenty to go around in a regular order. Service at this location was nice and even with all the foot traffic, the place was pretty darn clean. But I came to eat and for that, I was disappointed. I'd heard soooo much hype about the burgers that I was ready to fall out of my seat from being blown away by the deliciousness. Needless to say, I was able to get up from my seat, push the chair under the table and walk out of the place without looking back.

I almost slipped and fell backwards...not once...but twice. I was wearing sneakers too. So because of the liability I gave it three stars. I don't eat meat. When I asked if they had a veggie burger, the guy explained it would be the buns with vegetables they serve. I ordered fries with seasoning. Well my friend behind me yelled at the guys, "Hey! Put on some extra Cajun seasoning!" Well I was sweating eating these fries. Good thing they do free refills. I kept running back to get some more liquids to hose down the fire in my mouth.

I had high hopes as everything I had heard was nothing but spectacular. I got the cheeseburger, all the way (minus the mayonnaise and mustard) and who can get a burger and not do fries--especially on your first trip to this "fab" burger joint. Regular or Cajun? I like things spicy so the guy offered to give me an order 1/2 regular and 1/2 Cajun. I jumped in the car and was on my way back to the house for my 3pm, Monday afternoon hangover fix (a Sunday wedding makes for a rough Monday). The smell of the fries was too tempting to not have a sneak peek. Yum! Fries were delish, so my burger expectations were high! It was okay, nothing great. I get the concept, thought the fries were good, but was less than impressed on the burger. Oh well....

  • Mike M.

I am completely obsessed with this place. Even though the burgers are always medium well to well done, which is not how I would ever order one (or cook one, for that matter), they are off the chains. Always juicy like couture, always delicious. The fries, also, are my favorite fries anywhere.I recommend coming here with someone else and splitting a regular-sized (small) fries, since they give you basically an entire brown lunch-bag full of them. Even though I just ate there yesterday (for the third time in two weeks, writing this is making me crave it again. Make sure you park in the garage sitting above it, since its free for the first hour ($1/hr therafter).

I used to think Tobacco Road had the best burger, until Five Guys came into town. I love their burgers so much that I often have fantasies about them. No joke. I think about how the soft bread plus the cool crisp lettuce, the creamy mayonnaise, crumbly yet firm patties combine to form a party in my mouth. Eating an entire double patty cheese burger before any of my male co-workers had gotten half through theirs changed my standing in the office -- for the better. So maybe I am also a little biased. I can do without the fries. I've tried both the cajun and regular fries multiple times and I just prefer thin and really crispy (yet soft on the inside) fries. Also a huge fan of hot dogs, I was disappointed that their dogs did not induce the same reverie as the burgers. A must have for burger maniacs like me.

  • Jen F.

Darn you, Five Guys, and your blasted burger shops popping up all over Miami!! I'm going to get fat! Five Guys is absolutely delicious and my favorite place to stop in and grab a burger. The burgers are tasty, juicy, and all those toppings! The fries are thick and perfectly seasoned and they give you so much! They keep it simple here and the quality and food are consistent no matter which location you go to.

Pretty good burgers. I don't like my burgers "all the way" - just some ketchup and grilled veggies, thanks. Not the greatest but much better than Burger King or McDonalds! The bun is nicely toasted and the burger itself has a good taste. Love that you can grab some peanuts while you wait. The cajun fries are a must-have but they serve entirely too many in an order. Everything is fresh and the food comes out quick. No real complaints here!

Everytime I come here I never get let down. The food is good the service good too. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because they dont have beer like the one on south beach.

I'm definitely a fan. They have a very minimal menu a la In-n-Out which allows them to focus on making their hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries absolutely delicious. I personally had a cheese hot dog with regular fries. Apparently they have these spicy cajun fries which I'll be sure to try next. I'm a big hot dog fan (who isn't?) and you can really taste the quality. I went on Saturday afternoon based on a craving for good french fries. I had to sit outside in the rain - it was packed at maximum capacity. I guess other people really love them too. My only tip - even if you're sharing, just get a regular sized portion of french fries. They really hook it up.

Three words: IN-N-OUT If you've tried In-N-Out, you know Five Guys has nothing on the West Coast fast food chain. Don't get it twisted, and don't be fooled by the red and white decor.

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one is because they do have the great Five Guys food, but the service at this location is just plain awful and enough to deter me from ever coming back! I went with a group of 8 people. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and were greeted by a rude, yelling cashier who acted like he was herding cattle more than calling customers to his register. He (and the other cashier) took our orders and we sat down. One of my friends was called to pick up her order and when she unpacked it at the table she noticed her husband's burger was missing. They went up to the cashier and told him that they were missing a burger and that they had indeed ordered it. Turns out he didn't hear it or forgot to punch it in to the register. Understandable, it happens to everyone. The problem was that he was pretty nasty in the way he spoke to them, and kept saying that the grill was already being cleaned and they wouldn't make him a burger. This was still before closing time. He didn't make the slightest effort to offer an alternative food, a coupon for a replacement burger next time they came in, or even an apology. This guy is the MANAGER of the store, so imagine if you get bad service from anyone else and ask to see the manager, this is the type of person you'll be dealing with. The other employees visibly ignored the situation, went about their business, and didn't make any positive customer service effort either. On a positive note, we mentioned the situation to another employee and it turned out she was an assistant manager or something like that. She was concerned by the situation, apologized, and gave my friend a business card with the name and number of the owner so he could fix the situation. The other positive about Five Guys is their food. Their burgers are apparently addictive, their grilled cheese is one of the simplest and best I've had (I add tomato and grilled onions to it, delish!), and their fries are great. Order the smallest size as they will add a scoop of fries to the bottom of your bag and it's like ordering a large...maybe even more! I also love that they have malt vinegar, which I love to sprinkle over the fries. Definitely go to Five Guys, just avoid this location if you can.

Well, this place is just delicious. I always get my burger and take the top off, ready to remove whatever gross toppings come standard, and then realize: I don't have to worry about gross toppings! YAY! I don't like the Cajun fries at all, but their normal fries are delicious with a TON of salt and some Vinegar (bottles of which are available at the napkin stand). Also, they have Coke Zero in their soda fountain: perfection! (Don't go in this store if you have a peanut allergy: peanuts are just sitting out for free so be aware.)

I do not know why I never got around to reviewing this place because I really love it. So much that I will drive from Miami Beach just to go there for lunch. I like the idea of being able to add whatever toppings you like and they have a lot to choose from - jalapenos, green peppers, BBQ sauce, A-1 sauce, etc, etc.. Fries are some of the best around, either the cajun or the regular and the portion is huge.

Delicious burgers. Even more delicious fries. It's the perfect spot for lunch! The bacon cheeseburger is my favorite choice. The amount of bacon placed on the burger is supple yet not too overboard. The small fries is enough to feed a starving village. My friend and i nearly devoured our entire bag. The best time to get there is early to beat the lunch rush. By 12:15 the line was nearly out the door and seating is a killer, but oh so worth the wait!

  • Chris M.

if a reasonably priced burger topped with just about everything you could want is what you're looking for, you've come to the right place. the small cheeseburger is usually perfect, but sometimes you need the regular bacon to fill the void. they'll double the cheese if you ask them nicely. it's amazing what a little please and thank you can do. the toppings are all good, worth changing it up every time. the fries are quite good as well, much better than some other previously reviewed proclaimed burger bars/joints. prices are good too, not expensive, about the same as similar places, shake shack and johnny rockets. they could use some other beverages, i.e. beer.

  • Lourdes W.

Great burgers with whatever toppings you like even jalepenos and tons of fries even for the "small" size @ Five Guys. If you are allergic to peanuts, I don't advise going. They have cracked shells all over the place. It's kind of odd. Nonetheless, it's a good tasting hearty meal for fast food. It's nothing fancy, but a good spot for lunch if you're in the area in a rush.

Good burger. The best fries in Miami. Never a long wait. Reasonably priced. I never leave this place with grabbing a handful (or three) of peanuts.

I'll make this review as simple as the menu here. Good burger, good seasoned fries, and the peanuts as an added treat keep me coming back for more.

5 guys is good for a quick lunch when you're on a tight budget! The burgers are really big, so unless you can really munch it down, I'd recommend the little (cheese)burger. It's probably a little bit bigger than a quarter pounder from mcdonalds. If you like experimenting with hamburger toppings, Five Guys is probably worth a try. You can choose any (or all) of their toppings at no additional charge. They also have A1 or BBQ if you're in the mood for that. The fries are good and they're never frozen which is a plus. If you're going with a friend, you should probably share the fries, the orders are huge and they usually fill your bag with them...They give you so much that my girlfriend and I leave some. If you're going during the lunch hour, its typically hit or miss for a crowd. Sometimes I've had to wait in line for about 5 minutes to order and other times I've walked right up to the counter. One last note: Parking--- there is metered parking all around the place and there's also a parking garage that is free for the first hour.

Being able to say things like "I want Five Guys in my mouth right about now" and it coming off as a perfectly normal, reasonable sentence is only one of the benefits of eating at this place. This is fast food. The only difference between Five Guys and, say, Wendy's is that they seem to pride themselves on letting you see how little goes into making the hamburger you're paying $5 for. At least the other fast food joints do you the favor of sparing you from seeing the vapid, deathly look in the eyes of the assembly line preparing your food. One thing many will surely enjoy is when you order fries, you can even go as far as I go and say, "I don't want a lot of fries. If there was a smaller size than 'regular', that's what I would want. If there was a smaller size than the size smaller than the smaller size of 'regular', that's what I would want. What I'm saying is, I want very little fries." Even with that, you'll still get a styrofoam cup in abundance with fries. Those fries will spill out from the cup and litter the inside of your bag to the point where they form a formidable shield atop your burger. With that comes the grease spots on the bag. The bag will now look like the face of a high school teen in the chess club. As you look at the newly lubricated bag that you can actually see through now, you realize that grease will be inside of you in a matter of minutes. You start to panic and wonder how many sit-ups you'll have to do. You'll look around at everyone with concern that they're judging you. A wave of doubt regarding your self-image starts creeping into your psyche. As you pull that first french fry out of the bag you start feeling more and more anxious, "are people looking at me? Do I look fat? Am I the epitome of an obese American consumer? Did I leave my iron on this morning?" The closer to your mouth the slice of fried potato gets, the faster your heart pounds. Faster, faster. Your heart violently surges blood through your arteries only to return back to your heart through your veins at an even more intense rate. Your tongue makes contact with the oily vegetable and then... Fuck yeah this shit is good! Suddenly all that Cosmo magazine self-consciousness bullshit goes out the window and you enjoy some banging fries. I think peanut oil is actually made from Helen of Troy's breast milk because I'd conquer a nation or two just for the sweet, sweet taste of it directly from the source. The burgers are good too, and you can shamelessly order them however the hell you want. If for some reason you feel like you need more vegetables in your diet you can tell them to pile on the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, green peppers, and mushrooms until you no longer even taste the meat. However, If you're not a pussy and you want a little more chest hair you can order a bacon cheeseburger with nothing but hot sauce if that's what you really want. If you're the kind of person who cares about eating healthy you better keep walking to the Whole Foods or something, because this place will give your chin fat some chin fat. One of the toppings you can order on your burgers is "trans fat." I think they sell veggie hot dogs because I saw a skinny hippie eating one while shivering alone in a corner. You'll have to ask them, and when you do so make sure you ask it like, "do you guys sell veggie hot dogs? I'm only asking because I'd like to ironically buy one." That's the only way you'll get respect, albeit a tiny bit. Five Guys is a great place to visit if you've just been dumped or you've been in a relationship long enough to not care what you look like anymore. PEOPLE WHO WOULD ENJOY IT: Carnivores; fast food lovers with a more discerning taste. PEOPLE WHO WOULD NOT ENJOY IT: Anyone trying to get laid.

Now this is what I'm talking about! Come to Mama! I love sinking my teeth into one of their juicy burgers! I love the simplicity of the decor and the menu, not to mention the all-you-can-eat peanuts! Well worth the extra hours at the gym for an occasional indulgence! If you're in midtown, you've got some great choices - if you want a great burger, go for it!

I understand this regional franchise is very popular in the Northeast and now their is one at The Shops at Midtown Miami. They Just opened on November 13, 2007 and it's the only eating establishment in Miami Midtown besides the Target food court. The burgers are cooked as you wait and they're thick and juicy, a double patty for regular size. There are more free toppings then I've ever seen on a fast food-style burger, including mushrooms, Jalapeno peppers and green peppers. The major ordering decision is to go for the Bacon Cheese Burger or the Little Cheeseburger. I ended up ordering a regular cheese burger. There was so many topping on the burger, I wouldn't have missed the cheese. They also have hot dogs and a grilled cheese. I ordered the regular fries and it was enough for two. They don't serve milk shakes so the regular drink was fine with free self-serve refills. The are some boxes of free peanuts in the shell that you eat and throw the shells on the floor. I've seen this before in restaurants and bars, but never in a fast food style restaurant. If you've never been to a Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries, it's worth trying at least once. Lastly, they give you an ample portion of fries so if you are going with another person, you might want to split an order.

I am in love with 5 Guys or until I can no longer squeeze into my jeans. I eat at this place about 3 times a week no joke! Here's the embarrassing part, before my friend and I walk in the restaurant they will already begin to prepare our grill cheeses, we should switch up the order just for heck of it lol. I have not had a burger, but I can confirm that the grill cheese (only with cheese), hot dog with raw onions, seasoned and unseasoned fries are amazing! The staff is attentive and the place is spotless! If my addiction persists after next week I hope Yelp introduces me to a 5 guys Anonymous.

I love going to midtown and every time we go it is hard to not go to Five Guys. I absolutely love their burgers! Always fresh and delicious! I highly recommend this burger joint to anyone looking for a fresh, juicy, and delicious burger. I love the fries, however I try to refrain because you can't just stop at one.

Hubby and I tried this place but the Kansas City, MO location...our friends were super excited to introduce us to Five Guys, we were so looking forward to it because of it's amazing reviews....gotta say that the fries were great and the burgers ok, not at all what we were expecting...we did like the fact that they are hand made and not too greasy....we'll give it another try in our home location....

The burgers here are really delicious but if your careful you can spend upwards of $9 or $10 on a burger fries and soda. My advice if you never ate here before and want to try the food but still be within fast food budget is to opt out for the little burger. It's actually not that little and the big burger will really leave you stuffed in the end. Also do regular size fries.

i gotta say ive been eating these delicious damn burgers for a year now and still haven't gotten sick of them. they seem t get better and better every time.. plus i love the peanuts. Not usually a hot dog kinda of guy but the dogs here are delish. And the fries are good for days, which is how long it might take you to eat them all cuz they fill up half your bag.

After a full day of activities, friends suggested we head to Five guys. I had never been and they all live by it. We took the drive over; the place is located in a nice strip plaza, and when we got in there wasn't much of a line. While you wait in line you can serve yourself some peanuts, and take them back to your table if you wish. As your getting ready to order, you will notice on the left wall a sign letting you know where their potatoes that week arrived from. The sign is always changing, hinting to the customer that the products are always fresh. The meat here is never frozen, and takes about 7-10 minutes for the food to be made from the time your order. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and man o' man was that good! They have lots of toppings you can ask for; I went with the BBQ dressing (amazing) and the grilled onions, which make a hamburger all that much better. The serving size for the fries is huge, so no need to order a bigger size. We went with a friend who doesn't eat meat, so she was able to choose from the veggie burgers or veggie dogs. I will be going back to this place regularly, and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good burger.

When I'm close to Midtown and I want a good hamburger that won't break the bank I go to Five Guys. I had heard numerous things about this place from some friends from up north. I went with an open mind and an empty stomach. I then ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and Cajun Fries. Few minutes later my food came out in a brown paper bag. Regular fries are more than enough for one person (even a hungry one!). My bacon cheeseburger was very tasty. The bacon was nice and crispy unlike some other places and had some actual flavor. The cajun fries have this spice to them , but nothing overbearing. I finished this off with a nice tall glass of Coca-Cola. If you are in Midtown and are craving a burger Five Guys is the place to go. :)

After reading all the reviews on Yelp about Five Guys' and after seeing their name mentioned in the thread several weeks ago where Yelpers discussed which restaurant has the best fries, I was really looking forward to trying this place. 3 of us went for lunch on a weekday, parking was a snap in the nearby garage (free for the 1st hour), there was no line so we got to order as soon as we walked in and there were 3 or 4 tables open. We each ordered a burger, 2 of us got the regular fries and one of us ordered the Cajun fries. We waited about 7 - 10 minutes for our food, they call you by number and there were at least 12 numbers ahead of ours waiting. IMO, this place was good, and I'd probably come here again, but the burger didn't blow me away as I expected it to after reading some of the other reviews. As others have mentioned, they give you a TON of fries, we probably could have split 1 order between two of us and we would've had plenty. The fries are greasy, but they are very tasty. As far as the burger, I gotta agree with JD N. on this one. The burger didn't knock me out. It was good, but no better than I've had at a few other restaurants. In all, if I'm in the area and have a craving for a good burger and fries, I'll stop. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Jr. Cheeseburger with green peppers, onions, mayo. Just what I wanted. Sweet tea always makes a southern girl smile. Only gripe is the fries. Too frickin many. A regular can feed a baseball team (almost). Shared my fries with the guy sitting next to me. So nice. $9.12.

  • Ginger H.

I don't eat burgers but the fries are fantabulous. And they give you enough of them to feed an army (or just you if you haven't eaten in a week). You might end up the size of an army though if you eat them all by yourself (especially if you do that a lot). So, just bring a friend and share.

Ok, I really like this place. Let's be clear, it is not beautiful inside, it is basic red and white, but clean and fine by me. Also, the menu is VERY basic -- burgers, hot dog and fries. This is basically a place if you have a craving for a BURGER. You can definitely tell that the meat for the burgers is fresh. It does not taste like McDonald's or Burger King or other cheapo stuff. The burgers are are big and juicy, but they are not rare or medium rare, so if you want that then this probably is not for you. They probably do that for health code reasons - when you deal with fresh meat like they have (as opposed to frozen), you have to be more careful when cooking it. Anyway, I like the variety of toppings. Also the cajun fries are excellent- haven't had a bad batch yet. Be careful because even the small fries are a huge amount. For a fast place I can get in and out in under 20 minutes, I like this burger and especially the fries. I go maybe once a week since I work down in Design District a lot.

Well, it ain't Fuddruckers. Even though, they served me a decent quality burger with lots of grease. The fries and burger were both fresh cooked to order. On the downside, parking in Midtown Miami sucks... and this is coming from a Miami Beach resident (where we know a thing or two about crappy parking). The only excuse I could use to go hear is a quick bite before or after shopping at the nearby Target location.

    (3)
  • Alexis Y.

A burger might be one of the last things I order on a menu. Even at Fuddruckers I would order the lemon pepper chicken sandwhich. 5 Guys makes a wonderful bacon cheeseburgers perfect hangover relief food. The cajun fries are fresh and tasty and great to share. Add peanuts and a diet coke and you are set for the day.

Good Burger, Amazing fries. As far as burgers go, this place is pretty damn good. It is more of a fast food chain burger.. but without the grease. Service is good, pretty quick. FRENCH FRY HEAVEN... The fries are hand pulled from Idaho potatoes, which form isles in the this burger spot. They are fresh and hot, and the portion is enough to feed at least two people. It's a gotta try place...

Yes, healthy living is the way to go but every once in a while I crave a tasty fatty treat. When this happens, the car steers itself into midtown and before I can give it a second thought, the Five Guys front door opens. Beat the lunch rush, cruise to the front of the line, and catch a glimpse of the team heating up the grill with yummy burgers and fries. I smile when my number is called and I get my hands on my grease stained paper bag containing 1 baby cheeseburger and fries (cajun style).

  • Jackie G.

burgers here are tasty, and their fries are to die for- they're fresh, perfectly salted, and even a bit sweet. they give you so many too. when i first came here i remember looking into the brown paper bag and seeing an endless amount of fries- it was wonderful. the burger was cooked just right and was very juicy. i do wish that they had some more innovative burgers, or funner toppings- like pineapple or something. i guess that's not their style-and you just gotta love five guys for what they are. simple, fresh, and perfected american food at low prices. p.s. if you're going to go to five guys, come to this one- it's better than the kendall drive location.

The burgers don't feel greasy so you don't feel yucky after it. The cajun fries are the best.

I have to say this is the BEST Burger I have had in a very long time! It's convenient to my office and the best part is that it's inexpensive. The Small Cheeseburger (which is not so small I might add) is under $5.00. It's filling and you don't walk away feeling like you just ate something greasy and unhealthy.

  • John L.

The place is new and its location is not the best one for business, I mean is hidden in a small street. The Burgers are really big, and the best thing, they're made of real meat, cooked to order, lots of real melted mozzarella cheese, the beef is a little bit lack of flavor but you can put lot of sauces on them( garlic sauce is the best) Fries are fresh and really good(real potatoes) Finally the servers need to learn some customer service, they seem to be bored or tired of making burgers and fries

Five Guys is a damn good burger joint! I got the bacon cheeseburger and was very impressed! You can get grilled mushrooms, A-1 Steak Sauce and a whole bunch of other topping for free on your burger. The prices are reasonable and the fries are DELICIOUS! I got the cajun style fries. I'll be frequenting Five Guys a lot more while I'm shooting in Miami! They also load you up with a shitton of fries. I think a burger and fries was like $7. Way better burger than any place I've found around here so far! The place just smells delicious when you walk in. I'd recommend this place highly if you're in Miami! It's almost within walking distance of the house I'm staying in here too! Delicious!

If you are anything like me, you need a heavy coating of grease to line your inner belly after a night of one-too-many vodka tonics. That's where this joint steps in to the rescue. There's a reason there's only two things on the menu here...these five guys have perfected burgers and fries. My only complaint is, they should work their cleanliness. Peanut shells all over the place aren't exactly appetizing. Lucky for them, the delish burgers and fries make up for the mess.

good burgers.. definitely. double meat, good fries. sodas are the only drink option which i think is bad, also; every order is 'to go' - well .. sorta, you just dont get a tray which makes the place sorta messy. i paid 10$ for the burger, fries and a soda. not bad but not a place i would go to too often ... now, if they only served beer....

i really do not get it about this place.. i believe its expected for you to like it cause everyone likes it?? sorry i can not agree... i guess i am a bit unfair cause you see i was given info ref to the calorie intake of this one tiny burger or 1 bag of fries (which is even worst!) SO THAT in itself turned me off from this place...to me it reminded me of a want to be upscale johnny rockets place... fries are good i admit, but should be shared by you and a large group of friends!!! burger taste to me was a forgetable one.... sorry... not on this bang wagon.....

I was in the Midtown area killing time when I got that oh so familiar hunger pang. It was my first time there and it didn't seem like I had too many options so I thought to myself "how bad can a burger be?", Stopped into Five Guys for a bite, the place was pretty empty around 5pm on Wednesday 'cept for the 6 employees hanging around behind the counter. The menu is short and simple: hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger, bacon cheeseburger along with "little" versions of these. They also have hot dogs, grilled cheese and fries. Pretty basic burger joint. I get a bacon cheeseburger with bbq sauce, onions, mayo, mushrooms and the Five Guys fries. Since all burgers are cooked to order I fill up my cup with fruit punch and munch on some peanuts while I wait. They've got these boxes of unshelled peanuts around the place which I didn't quite get their connection to burgers, but that certainly didn't stop me from cracking open a couple handfuls of them. Five Guys is decorated like a war vet with awards and magazine reviews hanging on the walls. This of course always builds up your expectations, and we all know that isn't always good. After about a 10minute wait, I get my greasy brown bag of lunch. The fries were pretty good, skin on (which I love) and not too salted. I open up my burger (which is a freaking mess smushed on a bun) and take a bite........THIS is what people are raving about? Now, I am a purist and eat my red meat medium rare, which I assume is against some sort of health ordinance in a place like this. I may have a prejudice against the taste of this patty since it was well-done. Other than it's internal temperature, the burger itself lacked flavor. I was trying to figure out if maybe I just got jipped with mine, but my friend said his was tasteless as well. Is this why they give you the option of 15 different toppings? This place to me was just plain boring. ho hum. My belly was full but my taste buds were unsatisfied. Sorry my babies!
