I normally don't like to eat Chinese food unless it's the only option but today I wanted to not only have done but also try this place since I've always walked past but never inside of it. First of all I must say that everything I ordered came very quickly. I loved that. I ordered the General Tso Chicken Lunch Special that came win either white or brown rice and spring rolls or soup. I chose white rice and the spring rolls. Spring rolls were smaller than I'm used to but it was all good except the rice, I didn't really touch it. A lot of food so I didn't mind much. All in all, good experience. Waiters were friendly. You could tell the girl was new but she was nice and didn't make any mistakes with my order so I was fine. They did however, make me feel awkward sometimes.

I won't comment on the food because It wasn't my style but their hospitality is amazing! The owner was extremely sweet! Took his time with us and even let me eat a free spring roll when I asked if it was good... And it was.

Mediocre food, and too expensive to be mediocre. Food is noticeably worse than at their Coconut Grove location. Had my usual order - General Tso's chicken. Fried breaded exterior was not crisp. Flavors also were just not there. Much more bland than at their other location. It all tasted very much of the fried exterior. For what it's worth, the staff is friendly.

Overall, very good food and flavor and a pleasantly quiet spot to enjoy lunch or dinner. The lunch specials are a good value and they offer several vegetarian options .The servers have a pleasant attitude and will accommodate requests, most recently adding in tofu to the Vegetable Delight without an extra charge. Tried the General Tso's chicken on our last visit and it was delicious! Some of the soups are very gelatinous and wish they were more of a brothy consistency... otherwise no complaints!

Small restaurant in Brickell. This is my go to spot for Asian food. Fresh and fast. My typical order consists of fried wanton skins and veggie fried rice. I'll be back and I do recommend it.

Singapore style noodles with extra sauce on the side & pork dumplings... Dynamite!!! Gotta have it once a week. That is the only thing I order!!

Just ordered from here for the first time. First, I was given a window of 40-60 mins for delivery. They ended up delivering in 20. Major points there. Next, the food is pretty good. Would definitely order from here again.

I am in love with this place. The food is authentic, the spice of life that keeps you alive!

Ordered from them before but this time they gave us ribs that look like someone took a bite out of 2 of them and the others were overdone and barely any meet. The chicken wings were brick cold and I asked for them well done but they look like the went from the fridge to the bag. Pad thai tasted nothing like pad thai so they should stop trying and take it off the menu. The good things were the shrimp wonton soup and the hot & sour soup but that's it!

This place seats about 24 people total, so it's cozy. However, it's comfortable and has a great menu to choose from. It includes great appetizers, traditional Chinese dishes and dim sum. This cafe is open everyday until 10pm, which is a real bonus for the condo and hotel dwellers. They also offer local delivery (for a nominal fee; guy on moped). The service is speedy and friendly too. I ordered their BBQ spare ribs and House Special fried rice. The ribs were super sticky, tender and delicious. Unlike others, these were full size, meaty ribs. The fried rice was on the drier side, but the various meats worked well in this dish. Plus, there were tasty vegetable included as well (white & green onions, bean sprouts). Although the meat was plentiful in the fried rice, there were only 3 shrimp in the large order ($12). At least they were large and fresh! This is a place I'll frequent while I'm downtown. Great value coupled with close proximity and delicious food...yes! Plus, the music here is really cool. Retro 60's and 70's.

Let me preface by saying that although we have lived in downtown for 8 yrs, we JUST started ordering from here. Why? Because we are creatures of habit. We always ordered from another place that was good, prompt, consistent. Then one fine day we called for delivery and GASP, they were closed for vacation. The whole restaurant!!! Lol. Still craving Chinese, my BF googled Chinese delivery near us and up popped First Hong Kong Cafe. We ordered egg rolls, shrimp fried rice and General Tso's chicken. The food arrived and it was YUMMY!. The shrimp in the rice were medium to large shrimp and they weren't skimpy on the amount either. We immediately agreed that this was our new "go to" place. This past weekend we had a bizarre experience with them, prompting me to write this review. Friday night, it was raining and we thought it was a Netflix and Chinese kinda night. We ordered our food at 8:55 PM and waited....and waited. It was Friday night so we figured, delivery might take a bit longer. Although I would like to point out we are less than .5 miles from the restaurant. We called at 10:15 PM and they assured us the food was on it's way but he would call the driver anyway to get an ETA and call us back w/ that info. Well, by 11PM, we never got a call and we knew we were not getting our food. Saturday afternoon, we got a weird call from the delivery service asking if we ever received our food. He then explained that the restaurant outsources their delivery service. Then hung up. Ok that was weird. At around 4:30PM, I decided to call the restaurant to let them know what happened. I was told the owner would not be in until 6-630PM but he would relay the message. At 6PM, we got a call from the owner apologizing for the previous night's lack of delivery. She immediately offered to deliver us our food that night, free of charge!!! We arranged for it to be delivered at 8PM. At 7:51PM our food arrived and it did not disappoint. Chicken in black bean sauce, pork fried rice and crab rangoons. The crab rangoons were really good. A lot of filling. Some places give you a large wonton with a little bit of filling that is more cream cheese than anything. Not these. These were overly stuffed with a nice ratio of crabmeat to cream cheese. The chicken was delish and the rice too. The portions are always larger than you'd expect. Average of 4-6 servings. I applaud the owner for promptly addressing the delivery issue. I recommend this place to everyone in the area.

Great dim sum! Placed an online order for a lunch delivery and the food arrived half an hour early. The lunch specials include a won ton soup or spring roll and a choice of white or brown rice. Portions are generous. Careful, vegetarians! The won ton soup contains ground pork and the broth is meat based as well. My vegetable delight had a nice amount of mixed crunchy-tender veggies but the brown sauce lacked that little sweetness to balance out the salt. The spinach and shrimp dumplings on the other hand, were so great that next time, I will just order off their extensive dim sum menu. I was thrilled to see the assortment of steamed dumplings and buns. In fact, this is the only place in Miami I was able to find vanilla custard buns, my breakfast staple during my China visit. They are big and pillowy and have a wonderful warm and gooey vanilla filling. I could eat about 20 of them. Definite repeat.

The food here is mediocre. I was disappointed by the fried tofu. My shrimp wonton soup was ok. However surprisingly their crispy duck noodle soup was good. BUT their service is terribleeeee!!! We said thank you when they gave us water and our entrees and they don't say anything back. We questioned how they cook certain dishes and they got really defensive and gave us an attitude.

Happen to find this Chinese bistro one day when I got out of work with my colleagues and drove the wrong way in downtown. But it turn out to be a surprise! All dim sum are fresh steamed after you order them, for sure 10 mins waiting is worth it. Steamed BBQ pork bun is my love!!! Soft and juicy...it's exactly like what I used to have everyday in my country. I come from China, and it's always hard for me to find a place has good food and making people feel comfortable like First HongKong. My colleagues and I ordered one dish for each of us and trust me, that's a lot of food, our four people table barely has enough space for all the giant plates. One order of the fried rice is more than enough for two girls to share and you can see all the jumbo shrimps in the fried rice. Honestly, I'm not a rice person, if the rice is not well cooked, I wont even touch it, but I eat them all~ Lol. For sure I'll stop by next time if I'm in town.

I ordered delivery via the Eat24 app and was charged twice...not a good start but not the restaurants fault... Now about the restaurant.. First, their prices are outrageous...but I tried it, wondering if their food would be as amazing as it should be for what they charge. They are clearly 20% or more than a very good, typical Chinese takeout place is.. and while my mother said that her dinner was decent, mine was terrible and all of it was way overpriced...see below... When you spend $5 for a couple sodas, you figure that they are 20 oz. sodas, right? That would still be expensive, but then when we got 2 cans, I started to feel ripped off.. Finally, when I started eating my pork w/garlic sauce, and it was SO spicy that I couldn't even eat it (and I am originally from Buffalo, and I love hot wings), that was it for me. $53 and half the food was dumped in my trash because it was so spicy... I am now on my way to a restaurant to eat dinner because of this experience..SO frustrating! There are too many great places to order from to deal with this place again!

Best available delivery for Chinese food in the downtown Miami area by far. First ordered here about a year ago through Seamless (which I was pleasantly surprised to find available down in Miami) Back then I ordered a lot of their dim sum which I always enjoy having. On a subsequent visit, they were not on Seamless anymore and I was kind of bummed thinking they went out of business. (I didn't even remember their name) On this current trip I went found them on Grubhub and they are as good as ever. Dim sum, egg rolls and even their main course dishes are great. I am especially happy that they don't drown their food in sauces. The Mongolian beef was amazingly dry (this is a good thing) Please keep this up. A lot of NY takeout places are even drowning their food in sauce.

For decent, cheap Chinese food in Downtown, First Hong Kong Cafe fits the bill nicely. They have amazingly cheap lunch specials that come with your choice of rice (brown or white) and either soup or spring rolls - all for about $9 (not including tax + tip, of course). The service is friendly and the food comes out fast. While First Hong Kong Cafe has been open for well over a year, I only stopped in recently on a co-worker's recommendation. I've tried the kung pao chicken and the General Tso's chicken so far, and both are good. The portions are more than enough to fill you up, no matter the size of your lunch-time appetite. Overall, First Hong Kong Cafe is a good choice to satisfy your lunchtime Chinese food craving, and a nice alternative to Wok Town around the corner.

The food is good but over an hour for delivery is unacceptable. We ordered from the Eat24 app and the first 2 times I ordered from you all was fine but this is ridiculous. There are much cheaper places to order Chinese food at so this is likely a deal breaker for us. You get 2 stars only because you did good the first 2 times.

My two colleagues and I (i.e. three native Manhattan-ites) were in Miami for the sailboat show. We decided to try the Filling Station for beers and burgers - but due to Presidential day holiday - it was closed. Plan B - on the same block - is First Hong Kong Cafe. As sailors - we will take any port in a storm. We can now highly recommend First Hong Kong Cafe. First of all - I have to chuckle at all the one-star reviews about "soggy delivery" and long wait times for delivery. Gimme a break - newbie mistake reviews. Who cares. We only care about the food and flavor. But I digress... Food needs to be eaten hot and fresh at this cozy restaurant. We sat at window table and ordered a round of Tsingtao beer ($4 per) as well as one order of FRIED PORK DUMPLINGS to hold us over while perusing the menu. The dumplings were maybe the best ever enjoyed - highly recommend. Succulent, tasty and somehow - plum sauce was genius. After another round of beers (slow food, slow food) we three ordered one plate of SALT & PEPPER SPICY CHICKEN WINGS. OMG. These were delicious - moist, succulent, covered in green/red peppers and onions and packed with flavor. We literally cleaned the plate - they did not need to send through a dishwasher - it was so clean. After another round of beers - we placed order for the SINGAPORE RICE NOODLES These were also delicious - with roast pork and shrimp - and a subtle yet pungent yellow curry flavor. The single dish could feed many - but we three slowly devoured it. I have eaten Singapore Noodles in Hong Kong - and I have eaten Hong Kong Noodles in Singapore. In any case - I would order this dish again in a heartbeat. We topped off the meal with some GENERAL TSO CHICKEN Also very delicious - and the white and brown rice were cooked to perfection. Look. We three have been to Hong Kong - and we asked the owner why there were no "real Hong Kong dishes" on the menu (other than roast duck) of a restaurant called HONG KONG. Same story as always - they cater to American palate - but if you know a HONG KONG special dish then ask and maybe they can accommodate you. BTW No spicy crabs - but friendly owner recommends "spicy-clams" . Next time will order such. In any case - on appearance - this is your standard hole in the wall Chinese restaurant (i.e. take no offense please) but the quality and expertise of the dishes is incredible. We will be back here again next year when we visit Miami for sure. Also - Carol our waitress - was professional and courteous beyond belief. She really took great care of us - and yes - everything in this restaurant is beautiful. I suggest you all bypass the "delivery" and "take-away" options and stop in for a delicious, "slow" meal on premises - ASAP.

My husband and I love this place! We enjoy the General Tso's Chicken, Salt an Pepper Shrimp, and the Chicken Corn Soup! My daughter loves the Chow Mein and Hong Kong Style Noodle! Hands down some of the best Chinese food in Miami! The staff is super friendly and we particularly love when Carol is there!

Excellent Chinese food, the kind of Americanized Chinese food you grew up on. The Peking duck is amazing and well worth it. If you ever want some good ole Chinese comfort food then this is the place to go! They have the best hot & sour soup. I also love the sweet & sour chicken. My coworkers and I order lunch here about once every week or so and it never disappoints!

I'm really not proud that this is my go to for Chinese take out, but it's a product of the lack of good Chinese food not only downtown, but throughout Dade county. It's really not all that bad-- I usually get hot & sour soup and the garlic chicken (extra spicy) and it's always hot and fresh. You can tell they don't use low quality chicken or mystery meat like other Chinese restaurants, which I like. But honestly, it's wildly overpriced for what it is-- cheap Chinese food. My order of soup and an entree comes in at something like $18. I've also had the dim sum and it's pretty good as well, especially the shrimp and cilantro. Overall, the best option for Chinese downtown, but you've really got to be craving it to pay their prices.

Bad attitude, boring food. Was good for awhile, now they lost a customer. 20 years living in Asia, we know good Chinese food, but this isn't it. We lived in Bangkok, we went to Hong Kong like people here go to Fort Lauderdale, so we know what we're talking about. 8 - 10 trips to China. We know Chinese food. Soup was too salty, my wife called to complain. No problem, "we'll replace it next time you order." So last night was "next time", but delivery, we were told, would be at least 1 hour. Plus the manager had to ok the replacement but he wasn't in. Plus replacement did not count towards the 15.00 minimum for delivery. Please understand that I have been to the restaurant 5 times to pick up our order and I have never seen more than 2 tables occupied, so too busy, no, not really. Just bad customer service and boring food.

  • Adam S.

The food here is not terrible or anything. I would say it is pretty average Chinese food. Not bad, but not amazing either. I have 3 problems with this place though. First, the food is expensive. We ordered general tso's chicken, dumplings, lo mein, and 2 egg rolls and it cost is $40. That's a lot. We wanted to substitute fried rice for white rice and they charged us an extra $4 for that, so $44!! Second, the portions are pretty small for the high prices. Lastly, it took us over an hour to get the food we ordered because the delivery dude went to the wrong address initially. I guess the search for good Chinese near my place continues...

Fast delivery. But nothing seemed to have any flavor. Fried rice and noodles tasted bland. Sweet and sour chicken had a fake tasting sauce. Was a waste of money.

People seem to have very mixed experiences here, but I'm a fan and they're pretty good with tofu & vegetables. So far, I've had in-person and via delivery: -Mapo tofu -Salt & pepper tofu -Vegetable curry -Vegetable delight -Vegetable dumplings The salt & pepper tofu is my favorite dish here - perfectly cooked crisp on the outside, melty on the inside tofu with spices and a blend of onions and peppers. The vegetable curry's a close second - nice selection of vegetables in a tasty but not overpowering curry sauce. Everything with rice. Best thing versus most Chinese food Iv'e had in Miami is that nothing is overly greasy or oily. The dumplings are the weakest thing I've had, lacked flavor. Delivery's always been prompt, staff is friendly.

I'm mostly a broke kid who probably has too much time on her hands and likes to go out ALOT. Downtown Miami is one of my favorite spots to be in daytime or nighttime, and having worked at a Chinese restaurant before I thought I knew everything there was to know about Chinese food but I was wrong. Went in for some house special fried rice, bit pricey for the food imo (coming from Hialeah where the chinese food is cheap & plentiful) but I couldn't help but want some more food. You open up the box and you see such huge pieces of shrimp, so juicy, ah, people jumbo shrimp CAN and DOES exist in fried rice and this place proves it, the rice isnt drenched in soy either, it has flavor and texture mostly coming from the huge chunks but I ain't complaining. Also ordered hot & sour soup. Mind you, I worked at a chinese restaurant before, and being an extremely picky eater I never thought I would like hot & sour soup, much less it become my favorite chinese dish, with this said I like to call myself the Hot & Sour soup nazi, always harshly judging every chinese restuarant's soup for I feel that it would never compare to my former's boss's dad's recipe (Hong Kong chef for over 40 years) and well short story short, this restaurant's soup was amazing! Its red and spicy and those bamboo shoots, lordy those bamboo shoots kill it! The texture is right on dot and the only regret I had was not ordering the large portion and adding too many crispy noodles (which i found out were homemade too). You guys need to try this soup! So all in all I went in for safe chinese dishes, and walked out satisfied. Only downside is I'm broke again (I'm only 19!) but I'll happily come back here when I'm in downtown and order more rice and try those beef dishes they serve up on those big plates.

BLAND!! That pretty much sums it up. Hoping to finally find a decent small chinese place we ordered from here online. Got the order within the estimated time. We ordered a decent amount of food hoping to have lunch for the next day. General Tso chicken - A bit spicy which was good. But bland and chicken was dry Kung Po Chicken - tasteless Pork Lo Mein - tasteless Eggroll - probably only decent thing on the menu Goes to show there just isn't any decent small chinese places in Miami.

First time ordering delivery (over the phone) = great first impression, noodles were great! Second time ordering delivery(GrubHub) = good noodles, best egg rolls, delicious wonton soup, but only gave us one crispy noodle pack for our quart of soup no big deal i will make a note next time on my order. Third time ordering delivery(GrubHub) = awful noodles, egg rolls tasted totally different. noted to add more crispy noodles with our soup but they gave us zero instead Perhaps results would be better as far as service had I ordered over the phone, but the food was extremely inconsistent. I even check the receipt because I thought I ordered from a different place that's how much the difference was.

The best thing about this restaurant is the quality of the food. It tastes less like sodium and more like actual great asian cuisine. I like the hot and sour soup, best I've ever had, and their general tso's chicken is as well. Good service with an awesome atmosphere. Great place for Asian food in the Downtown area, and the fact that they deliver makes it even better.

I order from this place somewhat regularly through eat24. Initially,I saw it got somewhat decent reviews and figured I'd give it a go, since much of the other chinese restaurants in downtown/brickell are either overpriced or suspect. Well, I keep ordering from them so apparently they're doing something right. I can't comment on much of their food...I generally get the same thing every time. Crab Rangoon appetizer and Sesame chicken entree. It's been about 10 years since i moved from New York/New Jersey area so I'm afraid I can't do the token "Compared to NYC chinese food" comparison...my palette doesn't have that much of a long term memory, but I can tell you the food is pretty decent. There has been issues with consistency once or twice....where it seemed like the food maybe was prepared earlier and then reheated but i would say 80-85% of the time it's been pretty fresh and more or less the same. It's a decent option in a quality chinese food deprived city

The food was good, but the portions were too small considering the price. I just can't seem to find any good Chinese food in Miami to compare to what was available in CT. The chicken "wings" were just wimpy drumettes when you would normally get entire wings (even with the teeny flapper part) back home for the same price. Never spent that much for Chinese food for two people and didn't have any leftovers for lunch. The shrimp fried rice had a healthy portion of plump shrimp and I love their crab rangoons but it was all just eh considering the cost.

Hawaiian fried rice tasted burnt. Can soda was 2 bucks! Creamy Corn Soup was egg drop soup with some kernel corns, Lunch express was portioned small for me and served with plain rice instead of fried rice... boring! Service was very friendly. Food took way too long for lunchtime. The place is very nicely decorated.

I had an early morning doctor's appointment, which did not allow me to bring lunch from home like I normally do, and decided to give First Hong Kong Cafe a try since several of my co-workers order from there daily and claim it's amazing (although I think the fact they are friends with the owner has something to do with it). I wanted to order from Miss Yip but their minimum order was $15 and Confucio Express looks delicious but also has a minimum delivery requirement so I decided to give this place a try. When it arrived, I was surprised by how light the bag felt. Like tony m. says below, the portion was quite small compared to what I am used to getting from places like Ming Yuan and Yeung's. It came in a nice plastic container which had a divider for the rice and the chicken, which was cool, but that was the only positive thing, I am sorry to report. The egg rolls were so thin (about the width of my index finger) and a bit bland, and the chicken was cut into small cubes, rather than the usual slices, and was probably the equivalent of 2 big spoonfuls of chicken and veggies (I ordered Szechuan Chicken, by the way). I am also used to slices of carrots, straw mushrooms, celery, pepper and water chestnuts, but this just had small cubes of pepper. Quite disappointing, and the veggies were not crunchy. It was very greasy, as evidenced by the orange pools of chili oil left behind. The rice quantity was about half a cup. All in all, nothing to write home about, very... blah. Now don't get me wrong, I am not a pig, but usually, when I order Chinese at about $10 a pop, I have plenty left over for a second, and sometimes even third day. I like to feel like I am getting a bang for my buck. My co-workers, who have ordered from Confucio Express, had plenty of food for 2-3 days, and at the same price, so I do sort of feel a bit ripped off. The food from Confucio also looked far more appetizing. I am looking forward to trying Confucio, because so far, downtown Miami's selection of Chinese food has been disappointing. By the way, the owner of First Hong Kong Cafe is American, which may have something to do with the lack of authenticity and the Borscht soup, which is not even from the same continent, being offered instead of the usual Wonton Soup or Eggdrop Soup. I guess that should have been my first clue as to how mediocre this place would be.

Nice, dimly lit storefront. Something slippery on the floor under my chair, though. Sweet, attentive waitress. Only tried ma po tofu, but it was quite bland--I suspect a generic brown sauce they use for many dishes. One of the only things open! So good enough in a pinch.

This place has the worst singapore noodles I have ever tasted! No spice, no flavor and mushy. I've had this dish from SF - LA - NY and it has never tasted like this, ruined my dinner :-(.

I order from here all the time! The egg rolls are delicious, the singapore noodles are great! The lo mein and fried rice is also amazing! That is all i have had so far but I will keep ordering! I am picky about my chinese food too, i do not like greasy chinese and this is not greasy.

OK, I say this as a NY'er so I know a thing or two about Chinese food. I'm also snobby about my food and I'll definitely boast about it. So, with all that said: this is a good Chinese restaurant. If this were NY, I'd ideally rate this with a 3.5 star rating, but the fact that it is in a city not known for Asian food and that they deliver, I was even happier with it. I ordered the spring rolls, brown rice, and sesame chicken and it came out pretty strong. The spring rolls were very fresh and fried to perfection; it wasn't too oily or over fried either. The brown rice was also cooked very well, clearly by someone who knows what they're doing and also cares about what they make for their customers. It was fresh and had a nice, healthy crunch to it and not an overcooked soggy feel. The sesame chicken left a little to be desired when being compared to a good sit down restaurant or a great delivery joint. However, understand that I did enjoy the chicken and the overall meal. It was very good and I would be happy if this were my local delivery place. I certainly recommend this restaurant.

Miami people need to wake up and enjoy some good food. I have tried multiple spots for Chinese food and this is by far the best, food is always fresh. Best hot and sour soup I can remember having in a long time. Great service to go along is a bonus.

I tried the Sesame Chicken and it was light years behind what we have in NJ. There was barely any sauce. It was basically battered fried chicken pieces with some sesame seeds sprinkled on top.

The service was excellent. The order taker was pleasant and understanding of my hotel-going (offered plates, forks). Quick delivery. Overall, good food. Four stars because you've bastardized fried rice to the extremes. Maybe it's a Miami thing, but IMO fried rice should be 90% rice and 10% fixings. The fried rice has WAY too many sprouts, scallions, onions and the like. Understated is better.

Woohoo! Five stars cause this is as good as it gets in Miami! I live and work a short distance from the restaurant so I eat here about two or maybe three times per month. My coworkers also flock to this place for lunch. I have no idea what all the one and two star reviewers are talking about. This is the best Chinese food from Miami Beach all the way to Brickell. Egg Rolls, Hot & Sour Soup, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken W/ Mixed Vegetables are EXCELLENT! We have also ordered take-out and had food delivered to our home and it arrived hot with all the condiments requested. Trust me, this restaurant will exceed your expectations! ENJOY!

Ordered lunch at 12:30. Delivered to my office almost 2 hours later (2:15). The food was not even close to what I ordered. Sent food back. Will not order again.

I eat hear at least once a month either for lunch or picking something up for dinner on my way home from work. Chinese food in Miami in general is not the greatest, but this place is pretty good. My favorites are the salt and pepper tofu, broccoli with brown sauce, and house lo-mein. I think the portions are just fine, I always have leftovers for a few days. this place isn't claiming to be trendy or super unique with their menu offerings, so as a typical Chinese take out option, this place is among my top choices.

This was by far THE most awful Chinese food I have EVER had. I went here because I've been looking for a Chinese place around downtown that compares to New York City. Seriously, I should have kept looking. I ordered the lunch size shrimp with mixed veg, a regular sized house lo mein, an extra order of spring rolls, an two iced teas. All of this was $34. The service was great even though it took them extra long to get the food ready. After I got home and beach to eat I noticed a weird taste in the shrimp but it wasn't too bad at first, when I chewed another one of the shrimp, this bile-like tasting juice just exploded out and actually made me spit it out. I tried to clear my mouth with a drink but my stomach was actually turned by the shrimp which has NEVER happened to me even in the worst restaurants I've been to. Either the shrimp was rotten or these people don't believe in tasting their own food. The Lo mein was bland, the spring rolls have some kind of veg cream in them and were soggy, and even the fortune in the cookies was cut off and you could even read it. I had to throw out everything and am pretty sure I will be throwing up sometime after writing this review. Seriously if you want to go to a place and have really friendly service and not be able to eat anything, go to First Hong Kong, its a shame Yelp won't let me give zero stars...

This place is a joke. The food is horrible, tiny portions and tasted disgusting. If you go there for food, please save yourself money and go somewhere else, seriously!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
