Dropped by this place after playing pool at Doral Billiards purely out of convenience... and I will chalk it up to beer-induced poor decision making. I don't mind paying top dollar for a burger, but I expect much more for my money. The other reviewers have it right: you're better off going to BK, where you could feed a family of four for the price of a single meal at El Corral. Slightly tastier, too. The food here is underwhelming to say the least, and the prices are downright outrageous. I'd say I'll never return, but I'm quite sober at the moment. Booze has a way of impairing my judgement. We shall see. Disclaimer: the staff was great, and this review does not reflect their attentiveness or quality of service. I am rating the place based solely on the food.

My brother in-law spoke wonders about this place back in Colombia, so when I saw that one had opened in the Doral, we had to make our way there to see for ourselves. The place looks great, the staff was very nice, but the truth is that I am amazed that this place is still in business. The burgers are overpriced, the time to wait for the burgers is too long (20 minutes and we were one of 3 couples there), and the burger itself was charred. A reviewer before me hit it right on the head when he compared these burgers to Burger King. I think that I would've been happier with a Whopper at a fifth of the price (mind you I haven't hit up BK in about 10 years - so that's saying something). I really hope that they get this place on track before it is too late.

This place has ample space to come watch your favorite sports games. It's a sit down place, but no table service. The highest priced burger is $9.99, which I believe comes with a double patty. For the vegetarians it's slim pickings here but you can order a Mexican salad and ask for no chili on it. Therefore, it would come with sour cream, lettuce, cheese, guacamole and tomatoes. You can add jalapeños if you want for an extra charge. I personally ordered this plate and asked for light lettuce and they ended up serving me a regular portion of lettuce. I was disappointed ...for $8 I got more lettuce than anything else. It did take a little long for the food to arrive to the table after ordering at the front counter. Be prepared to wait about 20-25 minutes, even if it is just two of you. They have a fountain machine so refills are free. There's beer served here, it's in an ice bin right next to the cash register. Limited selection though. Two people can easily spend $20-$25 by just ordering two burgers and some sweet potato fries (Ask for honey to dip those fries in). My estimate doesn't include any drinks. I believe I heard the table next to me speaking about desserts. They may have chocolate chip cookies and ice cream options. I didn't do dessert. Free parking, el corral is located inside a shopping plaza so there's ample space and they offer free wifi. Burger and business?

I came here because a friend of mine loved going to El Corral in Colombia as a kid and he wanted to find out if it was actually great or just an experience better left as a memory. Poor guy. I'm going with 2 stars because the staff really went out of their way to make us feel welcome, but paying $12 for a fast food burger (just the burger, fries are separate) isn't something I'm ever going to do again. It doesn't help that the three of us ordered what seemed like very different burgers and ended up with the same ones. It's also hard to enjoy my burger when every topping I asked to have removed is still there. I just don't understand it. Their food could be so much better if they hadn't spent all of their money on those fancy LCD menus or the ghastly murals of Hispanic celebrities. Trust the overall rating and skip this place. There's a Five Guys on NW 41st and 97 Ave. Just saying...

I don't get the hubbub about this place. My co-workers dragged me here for lunch recently and it was a disappointing experience. I must say that yelp has this place rated properly. I ordered the strawberry milkshake, fries, and the corral with cheeseburger with a fried egg on top. Altogether, the bill came to $18. Very steep for the price considering the burger and fries were subpar. The milkshake was good, however, even if it was $5. I would not recommend this place as there are a ton of burger places, and much better ones, around town.

I won't never come back !!!! The worst service I've experienced in any restaurant. The burger is simply ok,similar to any Whopper or Burger King but come on!, $31dollars for 2 burgers 1fries& 2 sodas!!!! Way too overpriced We have to wait standing 35 minutes in a crowded disorganized place with no table available, finally when our order seem to be ready , it wasn't as ordered. They forgot to put bacon so we had to come back again to the counter and wait for them to give us the bacon in a plastic cup and they also put tomato and ketchup when we ordered no tomato on it. It's ridiculous, the prep/ kitchen area is a total Chaos, totally disorganized and Managers seem to be useless at all.

I must congratulate Ms. Natalie Leon and Manager Nicole for their kind attention to me at El Corral. I must say that my previous impression of the restaurant was not to my satisfaction. But they have demonstrated a rare professional attitude, very seldom found in Miami restaurants: Client satisfaction is great business practice! I went with my daughter to eat last Sunday. We had 2 grilled burgers that were rightly made, excellent taste. I recommend this restaurant for more than just the food!

Had the Char-Grilled Grand Corral 1/2 lb. with bacon and cheese, chili fries and chocolate milkshake. Highly recommend the Char-Grilled burgers!

This chain is apparently the rave in Colombia and I'm guessing it's because Colombia doesn't have many burger places? But let's be real, the food is disappointing. It's literally Burger King food with High end Shake Shake or Burger N Beer prices. There is nothing fresh about it, it's all frozen patties, frozen fries and the same exact buns as BK. Super disappointing.

This place confused me upon arrival. I was expecting seat down waitress and it's walk up to the counter and order type of place. They give you a number, you sit at a table and they bring the good to the table. The menu is pretty straight forward. They keep their prices under $10. It's a la carte so you can pick a burger but the drink and sides are separate. Beer specials: read something at the door that said four beers for ten dollars during the World Cup games. For food: I went with the half pound grand corral which brings lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, mayo, ketchup and BBQ sauce. I added on an egg for an additional $1.00 A little downside, I saw others that game in after me get their good before me. So it does have some wait time for your food to arrive at your table. There's a condiment caddy at your table with BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard and mayo in case you want to add more sauce.

It's an OK burger place, but it has several flaws. First the burgers are a little too pricey for what you get and they do not come with any sides (which I thought would be included due to the price). My burger was decent, but it was nothing exceptional and I decided to pay extra for fries to try them out; they ended up being disappointingly average (while remaining expensive). Overall, you'll find similar or better food elsewhere for cheaper.

This place was just like all the reviewers below mentioned-average or even below average. Even average burger joints have better service and prices. The service at Mcdonalds is 5 stars compared to this place. The interior is really nice for a burger place but the fact the food is so over priced and the staff lacks motivation just makes everything suck. First and last time here. Come here if you want to spend almost $20 on burgers you can make at home.

  • Michelle J.

Subpar. That's how I can describe El Corral. Overpriced. That's another good word for this restaurant. If you want a decent char grilled burger go to Burger King. It will taste the same and you'll have $5 left in your wallet. I went for lunch and had the grand el corral burger which was $11! I'm all for an $11 burger it better be worth it. This burger was not worth the bread it was placed on. An obviously frozen meat patty, soggy bacon and some weird cheese. The fries were your standard frozen fries. The service was also painfully slow. Seriously just find a BK you'll thank me.

5 stars...if it were a pop art gallery or lounge playing acid jazz! Even then, the fact that Toca's Miracle was on a long loop makes me question their sound system and mixing. But as a burger place, I wasn't impressed. I'm not saying it was bad, it just didn't wow me. The decor seemed to focus in the realm of pop art, and the music electronica. However, my chicken breast wasn't juicy. It was just a chicken breast that even I could have cooked, lettuce and tomato, and some BBQ sauce. The corn itself was a little dry, and the toppings (ie cheese) were a la carte. In other words, they nickel and dime you for them, and I don't recall even being offered the opportunity to.

  • Brent S.

Maybe I was too picky when I came here, but I definitely didn't like this place that much. Yeah, the burger and fries I had here were good but doesn't have any merits or anything that could warrant an "awesome" category. Service here was slow on that day too. Kinda like your average burger joints around town. Not much to expect here.

  • Juan R.

Let's start by WOW! What a waist of time and Money, this tastes nothing compared to EL CORRAL - COLOMBIA I hope Paulo knows about this and it taking action ASAP. How can such famous burgers be re-created, without using the original products like meat, fries, bread etc... Will not be back, and If you have ever tried the original Corral don't spend your money here, no combo, no kids meals this is just plain ridiculous

  • Cristina S.

Surprised by the bad reviews, I had a delicious cheeseburger here.

    (3)
  • Eddie S.

Surprised to see all the bad reviews here. It was cool to see that this Colombian chain opened here, and was anxious to see if it was as good as it was in S. America. And it is.. Burgers are exactly the same, fries not so much. But their onion rings are quite good. Not cheap, but good ingredients.

    (3)
  • Julio P.

The burger was great. It's very similar to the one in Colombia and the fries were decent as well. A little pricy however but the portions are large.

    (5)
  • Landy G.

This place sucks. Sure the food is decent, but no way in hell is it worth the price. This place is way over priced. Went once to try the new location and I can tell you I will never go back. Surely enough location near my house closed down about 2 months after opening. Five guys stays being the best burger place for me. Thumbs down

    (1)
  • Jamie W.

Good riddance! Glad to see this place closed down after how ridiculously they priced their menu items. El Corral in Colombia is expensve, but the USA pricing is insane for regular burgers. Fuddruckers is significantly better for comparison and costs less. Avoid this spot in Brickell and maybe try once in Colombia. There is too much competition in the burger market in the US to settle for this.

This is my first review ever online on anything and I hate that it has to be a bad one, but I just couldn't contend myself on writing this review so someone else wouldn't make the same mistake I did....my mistake was not walking away when I saw the price tag of $31.79 for two burgers two fries and two drinks, then the burgers tasted like a regular Whopper from BK. Honestly I hate to do this to a business but at this DNA of burgers restaurants and food trucks, the burger really have to stand out and even more with a high price tag.. unfortunately I can't recommend this place to anyone. .

    (1)
  • Mario R.

so expensive, burgers are nothing but normal, nice decoration, but is not competence for five guys or Fuddrucker... The hamburger of $10 in another place is the $3.99 burger type. they do not sell combos. Two burgers, two fries, and two sodas $ 31.00 dollars. c'mon

    (2)
  • Alex M.

Burgers where extremely average. They tasted like a Whopper but at triple the price. Won't go back. Fuddruckers and Five guys are 20x better.

    (1)
  • Martha E.

Just a hamburger.....just 1 level up of Macdonald. But very expensive. Will not come back .

    (2)
  • Andres V.

Two burgers, two fries, and two sodas $ 31.00 dollars. They don't have combos. The food is good but not worth the price. Will never be back. I will be surprised if they are around for long.

So one of my coworkers really wanted to go because she remembers the burgers feom Colombia. We were a little hesitant because we had heard they were super expensive but decided to give it a try. If you're coming off the palmetto you'll have to pass it and.make a u turn which is a little inconvenient during rush hour. We went in and it was a nice atmosphere. Not as packed as I had seen it previously. Burgers were a little pricey but not much more than those ''gourmet'' burger chains like Fuddruckers. I ordered the bacon and cheese corral and a dulce de leche milkshake. The burger was pretty good. I might even say I prefer it over Fuddruckers. The shake was a little too sweet, but then again I did ask for a dulce de leche one. All in all, it was delicious and I will be returning. My friend ordered the fries and.left most of them. They're not all that and they hike up the price. My suggestion get a burger no fries. If you really need fries, split with a few people because the burgers are pretty big and you probably won't eat them all. Not the greatest burger ever, but really good either way. I will be going back and recommending it.

Because of the long lines and buzz, I decided to try this place out. I was extremely disapointed with a pretty bad burger that was undercooked; not to mention that it cost about $13. The $3 fries were good but the serving size was tiny. There are many gourmet burger places with better prices and needless to say better burgers. This is terrible and should be passed up.

    (1)
  • Fernando V.

The burgers are not terrible but definately not gourmet or on par with other similar burger restaurants. The pricing, options and marketing would make you believe their aiming to be a Fuddruckers or higher end burger joints but BK or Wendys beats them - a dollar menu burger at a major chain beats their gourmet burgers. That said, I've visited Corral in Colombia several times and their one of the better options when your in Colombia. Unfortunately, within the US their lower tier and not recommended. The locations are nice, clean and service is what you would expect but quality and taste dissapointing and nothing to savor,

    (2)
  • Vin L.

Well I"m back! Thought I give it another chance at the restaurant. Well the burger is still pretty good. I noticed the improvement on the amount of fries given. Also the sauces on the table very convenient unlike the last visit where the BBQ sauces were behind the register. The staff courteous and helpful. The staff well trained. Catalina at the register friendly, helpful and nice. As you can see went from two stars to three. I be back soon for more.

I used to eat El Corral back in the early 90's in Colombia. It had been almost 10 years since I last had a "Corralisima" (Grand Corral, in the local english menu), or their french fries for that matter. The people who say this burger tastes like anything offered at BK or McDonalds, are simply wrong. This is top class beef, it tastes like it, it feels like it. El Corral wasn't born as a cheap, whatever kind of quick grab and go kind of place. Good food costs more, and the place has never advertised itself as having a dollar menu. It is, given the right proportions, like going to Morton's Steak House and then complaining about the price ... if you can't afford it, choose a different place. The Burgers tastes like they used to 24 years ago in Colombia, and so do the fries, which are incredible. I understand how some people would prefer lower prices. Me, I prefer quality in what I put in my mouth, rather than quantity. I am happy El Corral is around.

  • Isabel S.

I went for dinner tonight. I was beyond unimpressed. The burger seems to be a factory formed and frozen party like the ones that you would find in a cheaper fast food place. I would go back we when they price their mediocre food at a more reasonable price.

  • Fermin P.

Not at all in line with my passed experience of this place in Colombia! I felt I was Having an over priced Burger King burger, where was the quality? I'm not coming back any time soon!! So much for my high hopes I really wanted to have a great experience .. I hope they make some changes soon. Ps they took 25 min to make our order too :(

Went April 2014 very good service! I'm pregnant and picky and this place is one of the best burger places I've been to in a while!!!! I had the Mexican 1/2 lb.. ate the whole thing! Burger tastes fresh and did not feel greasy, paired it with sweet potato fries and a shake

    (5)
  • Randy L.

Came here to try it out for the first time today. The only thing good about this place is the design of the restaurant. This place IS THE BIGGEST RIPOFF of any burger place I have ever been to. $16 for a burger, some fries and a coke? Also, the burger isn't anything out of this world. Just half a step up from a whopper at burger king for three times the price. And did I mention how long it takes them to make this garbage? 20 minute wait for a fast food burger is ridiculous. Not to mention that every single topping is pretty much a $1 or $2 extra and the burger is super plane. This place wont last long, way to many better choices for food in Doral than to go eat this expensive junk.

    (1)
  • M F.

Food is very tasty. Love the shakes. Food is a little more expensive than I would pay for on a regular basis and takes a long time to get it but as they have said on other review responses it is not fast food so be prepared to wait a little while.

Go back to Columbia, worst burger in town. The other reviews are on point. Very BK like and twice the dollar

  • Arlemarie M.

I came here with some friends because it's close to my job and it gets boring to eat at the same places all the time so we're always on the lookout for new places nearby. It has a fuddruckers vibe when it comes to ordering but it's missing the fun of choosing all your own toppings. I can't say I was bothered by that. As far as I'm concerned, it's less work. The thing I didn't like was the price. I went with 2 people and we each ordered different burgers for different prices with different toppings... and we still couldn't tell them apart when we got our order. This really bothered me because one of the burgers was $7 and the other 2 were $12 each (not including drinks or fries) and they were exactly the same. The price wouldn't bother me so much if the burgers were really good but there was nothing special about them. I won't be choosing this place over my usual burger haunts at any rate since there is such a variety of quality burgers in Miami. I'll give it two stars because the servers were nice but it's about the food and the quality is just not there. On a completely unrelated note, there is also a really cheesy mural on the wall which we couldn't stop staring at as it takes up half the entire restaurant. For ambiance and food quality, it's a miss for me.

Not Bad. Not Amazing. I came here to support my country, Colombia. And i came in spite of the abismal reviews. Start with the good. The refill of soda that make me feel better for paying $3.00 for each. I drank three times to try and recoup $9.00. The burger: the regular corral burger was good, not too different from say a whopper on its best day. It had a slight taste of gas or bar b q sauce i didnt care for since i didnt ask for bbq sauce. Now for the ugly: or should i say the overpriced. $31 for two burgers,1fry,1coke and 1shake at a "fast food" restaurant is more than i want to pay at a fast food joint for ok burgers and fries i needed to count to make sure i had ordered an adult portion. Will prob not be back unless someone else is paying. Sorry Corral, next time i see you i will be in Colombia. I would say if you have the curiosity go but go knowing you gave your wallet to a pick pocket willingly.

  • Mildre T.

I think burger king is better than this place. Way too expensive for a low quality burger. The inside of the place looks nice maybe that's what made it seem it would a good place to eat, unfortunately it wasn't. Zero stars on my book.

  • Stephanie M.

Hawaiian burger! Gosh it's delicious. A little pricey but so worth it!!! I can't get enough of this place !!

  • Juan C.

Top quality fast food burgers that maintain the original flavors and beef juiciness of the restaurant in Colombia. The place is nice and clean, and the service friendly. It is obviously more expensive than Burger King or McDonald's but the quality is incomparable as well. You are paying for a superior and healthier burger made of certified angus beef. If you have a slight sophisticated palate you will enjoy paying more for Corral burgers.

    (5)
  • Eddy B.

Tried this Burger Joint just to see if it was like the original in Colombia, but it was surely not. The burgers are plain, tasteless for the price you pay for them. I will stay going to La Moon for Colombian Burgers! I will not be back!

  • juan a.

I'm not sure what the bad comments are about. I thought everything was excellent. The main complaint was price. Im not sure what people are talking when hey say it's expensive....I had the most largest burger on the menu: grilled double meat, cheese, bacon, and all the goods "Todoterreno" and it was only $10.99. If you add that they are using the best quality of ground beef available in the U.S.A. "Certified Angus Beef" (I work in foodservice and know that this is not cheap meat and the quality is unbelievable), it turns out to be an excellent deal. You cant find a burger that size, quality, and price in Miami other than Five Guys, maybe. Hell, Shake Shack is just as good and the price is the same, but the burger is half the size. I was very pleasantly surprised. The place is clean and huge, and nice decoration. The service was very attentive. I wouldn't consider this fast food. It's no drive thru place and the quality is much higher than that. Maybe people are expecting it to be the exact same than it is in Colombia, and it would be impossible. But they've done a great job recreating it, and picking excellent quality ingredients. Quality ingredients aren't cheap, and this is not meant to be your average fast food joint. It is supposed to be quality burgers made to order. I was very happy, and I'll be going back

  • Beatriz N.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, although the service is slow. The burgers and shakes are great; the fries are okay, but the potion size is too small. Need to add some combos to the menu, too pricey even for a gourmet burger!

Well I went right when they opened at 11am and there was no line and the food took forever. Don't expect this place to be the quick spot to grab a quick lunch. The burger tasted good similar to the ones in Colombia but the prices are not what you would expect in this economy. They need to make the prices more affordable. And not charge so much for sides. For example $3 for a french fries and $3 for a soda is plus the burger which I got was $7.99 and everything has to be purchased separately. Don't go there with the whole family because your going to come out of there broke. I would gladly pay $10 if it came with fries and a drink. The hype is not worth it. Its alright but I do wanna say the shakes are what make this place unique. Very tasty but pricey as well. I will go back but not anytime soon to pricey compared to many of the burger joints out there. Overall I really want this chain to succeed but to really enjoy what this place has to offer you have to spend on average about $20. I wanna see combos and better prices.
