All the food was very good but the waiter could have been more helpful when we ordered. We ordered several different dishes to share and there was one that came with s big green salad and then we ordered another big green salad. But it was all good. The restaurant is beautiful and the wine bar amazing.

Decor is good, especially roof patio. We sat at ground floor bar. Good happy hour offering. Famous bread was dense and stale. What was a turn off was the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the female bar staff. Ignored us, spent most of time talking to other staff, made billing mistake and had bad attitude. Management should take note.

First, the food here is delicious! I highly recommend trying the freshly made pasta. The service was decent for Sobe. Our waiter seemed like she was having a rough night, but she was a trooper and kept her smile in place as best she could. The place is beautiful, but I could do without the tvs in the dining area. I felt they cheapened the experience and made it feel more touristy.

I came in for the first time on my birthday when they had a short opening & it was fantastic. We dined on the first floor in front of the wine room where they have a girl dangling on a rope to grab the bottle for you. We had the octopus salad , fish of the day and the lobster ravioli . Everything was amazing. With a bottle of wine and two entrees and app our check was below 150 great place to eat!! The rooftop is a must on my next visit, it over looks joes stone crab and all of south pointe. Look the restaurant ! Server didn't know much about wines maybe they need more sommelier .

Best brunch we have had in a long time. Excellent selection of high quality cuisine. Stone crab, custom omelets, every amazing cheese, croissant, sweets, and an Awesome bar staff. We will be back :)

Came here for Sunday brunch... The pasta maker has talent! The pasta was cooked perfectly every single time! And I loved my waiter! He was super fast and didn't mind the awkward "hey can you take a picture of us?" Request. Rafiel you rock!

Incredible place! The service and food could be horrible and I'd still give it 5 stars because the roof top is awesome! The roof top is composed of 2 different areas that feel like different places. The seating is relaxed and comfortable. I'm really glad this opened South of 5th and it's going to be the neighborhood place. It's also very affordable for South Beach standards! MDRealtyMiami.com cleanupmiamibeach.com

GREAT neighborhood gem! We love this place, my wife and I went there for a brunch, (which was one of the best brunches I've ever been to, and will review this in a separate post), and found out that they have a LOBSTER night on Tuesdays for $21.95. The food was great, the lobster is a decent size Maine Lobster (They could try and serve a little larger size it would be better). It was grilled, not overcooked and tasted fantastic. The wine menu is huge and there is a lot to choose from / very reasonable prices. (just order a bottle and keep your eyes on the wine girl) The service is as good as the food, sometimes they get little slow on service because they get very busy, but also the floor manager pitch in and help which is a great management. We love the place, we already brought a group there last time, and we are bringing a different group for brunch this Sunday! Keep up the good work guys

I'll give Cibo 2 stars for experience being seated, 4 stars for food. Made reservations and planned on sitting upstairs to have dinner with out of town guests. Arrived 15 minutes early, sat at bar, had a drink before our guests arrived. Then once seated upstairs, we were told full dinner menu not offered on roof, only in main dining room. Returned downstairs and waited an additional hour to sit in main dining room despite hostesses knowing what we wanted. One hostess was trying to be helpful. The other tried a bait and switch by saying our table was ready and directed us towards bar area. Not professional to do that when that was offered twice and I said it was not what we wanted. Once at our table, our server David was gracious and funny. He took good care of us, especially since kitchen was very slow. Try the lamb ragu. Lobster risotto was short on lobster. Salads were fresh and light. I may give it one more shot hoping they work out the kinks.

Start with bread and tasteful olive, then amazing handmade pasta, sauce, and fresh seafood! All in such a delicated environment! For Saturday night dinner this price won't let you down.

Great bar and great food. One the bartender was not friendly and borderline rode, but things chamge when his replacement arrived. After that we had a great evening, will definitely visit again.

I came here for drinks on a Monday evening and sat near the rooftop bar. This facility is absolutely gorgeous! Each floor has something to offer with unique architectural features, beautiful wood and stone accents, and a modern rustic vibe. The rooftop has elegant heaters in case it gets a bit chilly. I can't speak to the food, but the wine is good, and they have a decent beer selection. My sig other ordered a cocktail and it mostly tasted like simple syrup (hence the 4 stars), but overall, we had a great time in a romantic place!

  • KC C.

I had been dying to try this place for a while and I decided to go on my birthday. The cocktails were very delicious and unusual. My friends did the miami spice menu which looked amazing and I opted for one of the chicken pasta dishes. The pasta was pretty bland as well as the bread prior to the meal but w some parmasean and salt it improved. My boyfriend had the seafood pasta which he gave a 5/10... He was used to a rich broth and this was more of a diluted bouillabaisse. We had dessert and the canoli was great and the lemon cheesecake like dessert that was amazing. All in all it was a good experience. Watching the aerial wine girl was fun. If I go back I'll probably go for wine and pizza rather than cocktails and pasta.

Incredible atmosphere, food, and service. Have been here twice and will be back again. Best Italian food I have ever tasted.

Cibo is relatively new and is GINORMOUS. Despite being a new building, the physical space is made to look like a converted industrial facility (think exposed steam pipes and brick/cantilevered ceilings) with some cool design features (like a super-sized desk lamp that towers over the hostess stand and an Italian flag made from colored drop lights). He wine list is extensive, owing to the GINORMOUS (rarely used once - let alone twice - in a review, but it is apropos) wine storage wall, part of which is only accessible via lift. After picking a punchy Malbec we enjoyed the Italian fare. My pasta and her pizza were great. Kudos to the staff for accommodating a group with infants. I'd definitely come back while in town.

Great social place and food with an exciting fun atmosphere. I went to the bar to order take out on a busy Saturday night. It was a happening place! I decided to tour the place and was shocked when I got to top of first set of stairs to find a floor to ceiling glass showing rows of hanging wine with a girl hanging from a harness selected wine!! Then I went to outdoor rooftop with heaters and it was an amazing fun view with all the large condos and Palm trees still covered in Xmas lights. The best part was going to main floor of dining room and seeing the same wine wall in all its glory being 2 stories high! I told the girl in harness she definitely had the best job and she offered to give me a show again so I bodied her as well My food was also great! Be great place to be during sunset.

Came for Sunday brunch with a living social deal. Food is okay. They have buffet style including Omelet, pizza, meat and pasta stations. They have a good selection of assorted antipasto. Desserts could have been better made. Minus one star for the location of the buffet being in the main dining area which made for an awkward walk for those in the outdoor and bar seating area as you have to walk past people waiting to be seated by the hostess and then walk past them again with your plate of food. Bottles are half off during brunch. A bottle of prosecco is $18, can't go wrong. The ambiance is well worth the trip but don't expect great quality food.

    (4)
  • Chevonne W.

Very impressive, the place is very nice and eclectic in my opinion. I came here with a Living Social coupon for brunch and it was an amazing deal. We were a bit late and they were really friendly about it. The buffet style brunch was very good. The price fromt eh brunch did not include the drinks (Mimosas) however the price for a bottle of Prosecco was $18 so it balanced out in my opinion. This may just be my new favorite Sunday Brunch Place =)

Loved the rooftop bar, it's huge with couches and fire lamps to keep you warm on those cold evenings. Waitstaff was attentive but unobtrusive. Drinks are pricey, but I guess that comes with the territory.

Glamorous and tasty. I've been a regular at the Cibos in Coral Gables since it opened in 2011. The delicious wave continues into South Beach with a beautiful elegance. Their chefs are genuinely Italian-trained and know how to make succulent pasta, pizzas and how to perfectly slice their salami and prosciutto meats. Art work in strategic aces and the variety of rooms with different moods. If you want to watch the acrobatics in the wine room or sit on the rooftop over looking the south beach you have your choice. There is even a birra bar where they brew their own beer. Something for every elegant group of friends. Be sure to try my favorite appetizer Prosciutto Formaggio. And ask about their happy hours. You won't be disappointed. An added bonus is that you'll see familiar staff from the Gables there too whole you feel like family. Enjoy!

SO GOOD WE WENT TWICE! My recent getaway from NJ/NY area to Miami was made worthwhile because of this restaurant. The staff are exceptional! We felt welcomed and overly accommodated. I had the seafood risotto, my friend had the prosciutto formaggio. Delicious! Not to mention the Cibo Daquiri was amazing! Can't go wrong here :-)

Beautiful Space, Delicious Food I have dined at the Coral Gables Cibo and enjoyed the food, but I'm not a big fan of Coral Gables so I was excited to hear about the South Beach Cibo opening. I went for one of their Art Basel Events and was blown away by the sheer size of the place. There were well over 1000 people there so I didn't really try to eat much. I have since been back for their brunch buffet and was pleased with the food they offered, the staff and the space, which I was able to appreciate more with less bodies in it. I love Italian food and this food was classic Italian fare without the ridiculous prices that SoBe is known for. The event planner and one of the manager's made us feel very welcome, both ladies seemed to really enjoy their job, which made us enjoy being there even more. Nothing is worse than a staff that is miserable, it kills the mood. We dined on the rooftop and the vibe couldn't have been better. We reserved a noon brunch, but stayed well past 4p.m....I blame the champagne specials. I will definitely make this my go-to brunch place and it's great for a date night.

Love this place every time I come! Food, service, atmosphere! Spot on!! Ask for Marco the bartender, he always steers you in the right direction for drinks and apps and the restaurant middle and upstairs is always amazing. Wine girl in the cellar is very entertaining as well!

I come here very often and I always have a great time! The food is good...but the drinks are even better! Best Margarita in South Beach! Thanks to Luca, the bar manager, and Marco the bartender! ps: don't forget to try also the homemade limoncello!!!

Being a frequent customer in the Coral Gables location, I had to come check this one out. Honestly, place is absolutely beautiful. Everything about it. Decorations are perfect and the zone too, however, the food didn't blow my mind away. I think it could definitely improve. I'll probably be back though for a second shot.

Great restaurant, amazing decor, modern spacious, sexy wine girl hanging from a rope, giant lamps, vintage Vespa , sink with shower heads, positive messages on the walls... Loved my fresh tagliatelle with ragu', my friend had pappardelle with lamb ragu'!!! Can wait to back!!! Prices are average no too expensive, portions large ..

Service and appetizers are great! The restaurant is beautiful and has a nice clientele and vibe. But I didn't care much about our entrées. Specially the pastas... Not al dente, and my friend's chicken was a little hard and dry.

Beautiful restaurant wasted!!! Should have known what we were in for when the restaurant was fairly empty for a Friday night at 8:00. We went there to celebrate our daughter's birthday and were so disappointed. We sat upstairs on the beautiful outdoor patio. Service was slow - took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks which consisted of water, a glass of wine and 2 draft beers. Not difficult. Waited much longer for refills!!! Our waiter disappeared after that and a manager finally came to refill our drinks. The food, lets just say I would rather have eaten at Olive Garden. I ordered the spinach salad with strawberries, etc. after 4 bites there was nothing but spinach leaves left. Two at our table ordered chicken Parmesan. The chicken was dry and tasted old. It did not come with pasta, only a pile of lettuce on the plate next to the chicken. Three others at our table ordered the calzone. It was a huge piece of chewy dough. The chef forgot to add the sauce, sausage and cheese. The pizza was worse than a frozen Tombstone pizza!!! The restaurant business is a tough one. To survive and thrive they must have good service and food you want to come back for and tell your friends about. Cibo has neither. Ambience is wasted on over-priced indelible food!!! Definitely will not go back. Our daughter will remember her 19th birthday - the restaurant with the disgusting food :(

I tried this place a few weeks ago, and its a great hidden new place in South Beach. Service was good along with the food. Watching the girl retrieve the wine from the massive wall was entertaining as well, and a nice touch to give it a vegas vibe. I believe i've seen it there as well. I would recommend the restaurant. This is a perfect date place as well.

I went to this place for a nice birthday dinner. The ambiance was good rooftop was pretty ect. The service was ok, server was nice, but checked on when our meal was nearly finished. The food wasn't great. I got the short ribs which lacked in seasoning, and my partner got the seafood pasta with the tiniest tiger shrimp I ever saw. Lol it wasn't tiger shrimp, the calamari was over cooked as well.

After reading the rave reviews on Cibo South Beach, my husband and I decided to eat here on a Saturday night. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away even though the restaurant was more than busy. The design, decor and ambiance is beautiful. It felt like the place to be in south beach but without the crowded obnoxiousness. Our server was great, I think his name was Alessandro...warm, knowledgable, and attentive. The best dishes we had were the garlic bread and lobster ravioli. I'm already dreaming of my next meal at this place, in which I hope to try dining on the rooftop. I give this place 5 stars for quality service, delicious Italian cuisine and great aesthetics!

Brunch was just awful !! As first I thought wow $35 for South Beach so so cheap for brunch. Now I know why first they insult you by telling you that is does not come with any coffee , or juice. Then obviously they want you to buy a bottle of water probably for $10. the waiter said you want TAP water???????? I was so insulted by this. Next onto the food well if you like carbs then this is your place. Each a bunch of carbs and feel really full and get FAT on crap. Pizza, pasta, and cheese and bread. There is absolutely no protein, but this tiny lobster then unstuff and then put maybe 1 oz of lobster back in the shell and serve it. You head over and by the time you grab 1/8 of a piece they are all gone. The fruit assortment was the only nice thing. When we left I said I could have actually ate a real meal for 1/2 the price and been full. I don't know about this buffet. I do not see this concept lasting that long. I don't think people will pay $ 35 for bread and pasta!!

IT'S EASY ON THE PURSE AND FUN FUN FUN... Tues night is LOBSTER night..for $22...can't beat this deal for high end South of Fifth hot spot!

This restaurant is beautifully designed with great food & drinks, very helpful & polite staff. Prices are fair, commensurate with upscale restaurants in Miami Beach. As someone who lives in the South of Fifth neighborhood, I just hope this restaurant can survive financially as it is a HUGE piece of real estate, with multiple levels and top floor outside dining. At times this makes it appear less busy than it is ... just because the restaurant is so very large.

Excellent atmosphere! Good food and service! Cibos recently opened in south beach and I love coming here. Food is great and they have a mixology bar you will feel like trying each drink. Great selection of wine. The pineapple daiquiri is a must and their cold cut boards are delicious. My favorite pasta is the chicken pesto. In sum, if you have the chance to come here don't miss it! The place is stunning!

We walk in on a weekday 5 pm with our 5 year old to an empty Resturant and was offered the BAR AREA ONLY, Maybe they were trying to make the bar look full when all tables are available. Even the waitress tried to explain to the hostess that we are regulars but she refused.

    (3)
  • Marco V.

Went for a dinner with a group of people. Miest admit that the place looks nice. Also the food is good and south of fifth needed something like this. However, the service is a completely different story. We had to keep on asking for water, I had my empty soup plate infront of me until the point when the main course came and they couldn't place it infront of me because of the empty bowl. But the highlight was when a waitress dropped almost a full bottle of red wine on the table, spilling it all over us and all she said was "this never happened before". To top it all off, she didn't offer to get us another bottle or didn't call the manager, even more, when we asked for the check the wine was there at full price (no matter that she spilled half of it) and also she included 18% gratuity. I called a manager then and explained what happened, in the end they took off gratuity and gave the wine for happy hour price. They still made us feel as if it is out problem/fault and looked at us in a way that we are trying to cheat them. It's a shame for such a place, and especially to treat customers this way, and not talking about that all of us at the table live in the buildings that are right next to the place. Good job!

What a beautiful place, from top to bottom! Just had a quick dinner on the rooftop! Poricini mushroom risotto with truffle oil, nice glass of Artezin zinfandel to pair it with! Good way to end the night! Sleep tight ;) Will be back

A place with a rustic , yet great modern look. We ordered Arancini which were absolutely delicious, polenta with blue cheese sauce, there was too little sauce for such a big order, polenta could have been slightly more crisp but tasted good overall. The seafood pasta was al dente and tasty ,big portions, the eggplant parmesan delicious, The wine menu is extensive and reasonably priced, Service is prompt and very friendly. Place has good atmosphere.

It is my second time in cibo for bruch. The place is very chic, spacious, bright, trendy and the ambience and vibe are awesome. They have a wire variety and the quality of the food is the best. The price is very good. The service shows a lot of improvement since the first time. The canollis are the best in town. Definitely one of the new south beach spots to try. I have never been for a regular dinner but it is definitely on my list.

I visited South Beach on vacation over New Years and ended up eating at Cibo on New Years Eve. We made dinner reservations which meant we had to have their 4 course prix fixe menu for the holiday. The restaurant is beautiful, the wine wall is a really unique feature. We ate upstairs on the roof and as other yelpers mentioned, they don't offer the full dinner menu on the rooftop (not that this mattered since we were having the prix fixe menu) but what I thought was interesting is that they also don't offer the full drink menu on the rooftop either. This would make sense if the upstairs was just a lounge or something but it's a fully outfitted dining area so that was kind of strange. Also, when we were seated at 8pm on New Year's Eve the restaurant was maybe 1/4 full, when we left close to 10 it was maybe a little over half full which was strange because a lot of the other restaurants we walked by in South Beach on our way to this place were packed. The food was great but whoever planned that there should be 4 full sized dishes per person for the prix fixe menu for New Years was crazy. After we had the bread and two appetizer courses per person our main dishes came out and after two bites my date and I were getting quite full. We knew we still had two desserts coming as well so I suggested that we package what was left of the main course that we had barely touched up as leftovers and after dinner run it back to our hotel room that had a kitchenette down the street before going out for the evening, that way we could still enjoy a bit of our desserts at the table. When we told the waitress we were full and asked her to pack up what was left of our main course to take home she said: "We don't have to-go containers." I don't know.. maybe that's a faux pas in South Beach? But I've never been to a restaurant in any price bracket that would not allow you to take leftovers home besides a buffet. So strange. So, not wanting to waste what was surely the most expensive portion of the meal I stuffed myself to the brim with beef and then ate half of their enormous nutella pizza dessert. Both my date and I still ended up throwing out half of our main courses and desserts. Honestly, being uncomfortably full for the rest of New Years Eve kind of ruined my experience at an otherwise pleasant restaurant.

I just went there for the pre-opening with friends, amazing place, very industrial decor with a touch of modern. Great Italian food, and service. Nice music, very promising for a hang out, dinner or formal place. Love it!!!! I would said, it's gonna be huge. Can't wait to come again and try more of its food, which was delicious. A must try place.1

Had reservations at 7:00 for the rooftop on a Friday night, we were 45 mins late (day drinking, whoops) and they still accomindated without any problem. Service was a little slow but the food was good. Great ambiance, beautiful covered rooftop, would recommend this place to anyone in south beach. Prices were actually fairly reasonble.

I hosted my bacherolete dinner at Cibo over Valentine's weekend. It was over 20 people in the private room. We had a fixed menu and they exceeded my expectations in the execution of such a complicated event (in a busy day) !!! The service and food were AMAZING!!! All my guest were blown away by the beautiful decor, friendly staff and delicious food. The Mgr who help me with the set up is Nicole Depriest - if you ever need to organize an event like this - she is the MOST helpful person ever. She made sure that our evening went smooth and coordinated all details to perfection. This is not my first large event here and will definitely not be the last. I will keep coming back for more!! One of my favorite restaurants in Miami.

Impressed by the location i decided to have dinner at Cibo. The place is beautiful but i guess they haven't worked out the kinks yet. My waiter was very helpful but from where i was sitting i could see where he was having an issue picking up his orders from the kitchen. My appetizer took a long time to get to the table. How hard is it to prep tomatoes with mozzarella cheese???? Then my main course i guess came out early and sat at another table that was empty until the waiter realized it was ours. I didn't make a big deal about it because he was so nice. Lets hope they get the memo. Ciao.

Just finished a wonderful dinner at Cibo SB. The servers were very attentive and I'm a big fan of their menu (from their gables restaurant) so I wasn't disappointed. The inside (open kitchen) has vaulted ceilings and is a beautiful space...along with an open roof deck. I highly recommend the meat/cheese platter, mushroom app, any of their pizzas, not to mention an excellent wine selection. Totally worth checking out especially if you have a big party and don't want to get killed with south point prices (very reasonable). Enjoy!

I can't wait for this to open at the Continuum! I love the Coral Gables location and am so excited that I can finally get their carpaccio and porcini mushroom risotto in South Beach. The space looks elegant and modern, with a beautiful rooftop space for parties and events. Looking forward to seeing how the restaurant is once it opens to the public.

OBSESSED! Ordinarily, I shy away from larger restaurants, but Cibo Wine Bar South Beach shattered all my "larger=lacking" bias. This place is SCENE + FOODIE perfection! The first time I went to Cibo, I met some girlfriends at the rooftop outdoor area for happy hour. It was cozy, warm and brimming with charm. I was fairly convinced we were in the best section of Cibo, but then I had dinner in the main dining room. Wow! Dinner began with the sommelier escorting us to the wine room, where a beautiful wine angel harnessed herself into a hi-tech robotic belt and zipped up and zoomed over to retrieve the perfect bottle(s). And then, we ate and ate and ate. The food was delicious. Too good to stop eating--despite being too-full. #gluttons The next visit, I brought my husband for date night. He is not easily impressed, but he spent the evening saying over and over, "We definitely need to come back." And come back we did. Several times. The downstairs bar reminds me of the sort of place Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte would frequent. #citycoolvibe Husband then invited friends of ours to meet us at this bar. Our friends response, "You two know the coolest places in Miami!" Returned again to celebrate my birthday with a dozen of "The Girls" in Cibo's private dining room. Everyone loved the intimate space, delicious food, scrumptious wine pairings, and the irresistible desserts. Highly recommend.

Pasted below is an email that I sent to the Sales & Events Coordinator and the General Manager of Cibo after a horrendous experience at the restaurant. I received a response to the email from the Sales & Events Coordinator (who apologized but offered no explanation for why the heck the night went so wrong other than she had two other large parties to deal with that night... then don't accept more than one "large" party a night if you can't handle it!) and NO RESPONSE from the General Manager. DO NOT waste your time going here. There are so many lovely options in the neighborhood that would have been happy to service a "large" (8 person) dinner on a Saturday night without issue... "Dear ___, I wanted to follow up with you about our party on Saturday evening on the rooftop. I thought you should know how disappointed in and embarrassed I was by the service and the entire experience at Cibo. Upon arrival to the restaurant exactly at 8 pm, it took the hostess several minutes to even find our reservation. I would have imagined, since you were obviously there that night, that you would have greeted our party and ensured we were shown to the appropriate spot since we had extensive correspondence about this event and reservation time. Upon being seated, I asked that several heaters be brought to our table since it was a chilly night (and also given we were the only large party on the rooftop and not many people were there yet by 8 pm). It was not until asking a second time near the end of our meal that heaters were brought. Upon being seated at the table, we received regular restaurant dinner menus. Again, given all of our correspondence, I would have envisioned that the servers on the rooftop would have been notified that we had coordinated our party through you and selected our particular fixed price menu. I had to explain our situation and my correspondence with you so that the waiter would understand we would not be ordering off the menu (which, according to our exchanges I thought wasn't even possible for a party of 8...?). We asked our waiter to just start bringing the fixed menu food as soon as possible when we handed back our regular dinner menus, and he did. It was not until after the first or second round of food service that you arrived at the table to introduce yourself. After the second wave of food service, the pasta courses just did not arrive. We waited 15, 20, then 30 minutes and still nothing. We then asked the waiter several times to just bring the remainder of the food as quickly as possible to no avail. Two of our party members had to leave because it was getting so late for them (it was their babymoon...). Though our waiter was friendly enough and tried to make up for the ridiculous length of time it was taking to get several pasta dishes out by giving us an inexpensive bottle of Prosecco, it did not make up for the fact that we had waited now 45 minutes and still no pasta. At this point, I would have imagined that the waiter would have notified you of a problem and that you would have come to check on the table - or that you might have just come to check on the party without prompting by the waiter. My husband (whose birthday we were there to celebrate) then just asked the waiter to get the rest of the dinner (pasta and desserts) to go because we all had lost our appetites after waiting so long. It was certainly a sad sight to see my husband walking out of Cibo with to go bags because he could not get the food served at the table to eat with his friends at his celebratory dinner. It was even sadder to see the bill. Instead of comping us for the dishes we didn't get to eat at the restaurant (or even a slight discount!), we paid the full agreed upon price per person including gratuity plus all of our cocktails. Honestly, we couldn't wait to get out of there after the nearly 3 hour "half dinner", so we did not cause a scene or question the bill at that time. To top it all off and as an aside, our guests complained of a sewage smell on the rooftop as the breeze would blow. I, too, smelled this. I'm not sure if this was coming from Cibo, but it should certainly be looked into to ensure the safety and enjoyment of Cibo's rooftop guests. I chose Cibo to have my husband's birthday dinner at because it is a beautiful restaurant in a location convenient to our home. After our experience this Saturday night, I would never choose or recommend Cibo again unless it can be shown that the customer service on multiple fronts - preparation for and anticipation of our arrival, communication between you and the wait staff, smooth food service timed properly throughout the evening, and accommodation for mistakes that ruined the evening - is improved. I also plan to forward this email to the General Manager so that Mr. Natale is aware of what happened and so that hopefully the same thing doesn't happen to another group on their special occasion. "

I've been watching this place be built for over a year from my apt across the street and was very excited to take me and my family finally. The place is beautiful but that was where it ended. The food was ok and I can deal with that my the staff had to get their act together. The manager in particular was rude. We had a very large party and my wife is not a wine drinker and enjoys having beer. When I asked the manager if it was possible to maybe go next door to the store and buy some beer and I would pay whatever prices his snappy answer was that he was too busy and his staff was too busy. Keep in mind it was early in the night and the place was not even half full. I respect it if he were to say " sir it's not our policy to do that or I am not allowed". But to answer that way. Also I was at the Forge the night before and Strip Steak the night after and they both did not even hesitate. Forge said it would be our pleasure and Strip Steak said we will make it happen. What a let down that a place that beautiful has a manager like that. I hope they correct that sooner than later. I really cannot endorse going back there. I am actually let down because I was really looking forward to spending time there

Been twice now to this new space. Awesome decor and wonderful roomy interior. For once a restaurant on the beach where you don't need a Linebacker friend to help you get to your table. Staff are efficient, friendly and engaging. Menu is a nice balance of traditional and modern Italian with a twist. Great wine selection with very wide price range. Loved the antipasti especially. Fresh fish carpaccios, great eggplant and fab Italian sausage. They make all there pasta there on the spot and you can buy it to take home. Lastly discovered an enormous beautiful roof terrace with great views and lots of comfy spots to sit and hang out. Prices are extremely fair, especially by overpriced under-cooked South Beach standards. All in all a welcome addition.

Our new neighborhood haunt. Just steps from home, we go a few times a week for dinner, drinks or pizza. Not fans of the brunch though. Pastas are great, pizzas are delicious. Appetizers are tasty and good variety. Desserts are wonderful. Lobster Tuesday is a great value. Service is usually good (one server too pushy and annoying) and attentive. The wine room provides a bit of entertainment...you'll understand when you visit. Wine list is pretty extensive and reasonably priced. Italian mojitos are a nice twist to the standard- blueberry infused grappa adds great flavour. Happy to have such a consistently good, well-managed restaurant in the neighborhood.

Having a foodie Italian husband, and being generally negative about "chain" restaurants, I had low expectations for this Cibo near our winter residence. So I was unprepared the first time I went here to be utterly delighted at our meal and our whole experience! We have been back since then, and had an equally wonderful time. At our most recent meal, the Branzino was uncomplicated and grilled to perfection. The Stracciatella soup was the authentic Italian simple version and thank goodness, not over salted. Salads and sides are fresh and well-prepared. The servers have been informed and solicitous, but not intrusive. (Our last waiter was named Alessandro, I believe, and he helped make our evening lovely.) The wine list is of course extensive, but you can get some really good wines at very fair prices.) The manager Salvatore has come to our table on both occasions, and is gracious and very obviously committed to the quality of this establishment. And all this is in a casually elegant and warmly welcoming space. We look forward to going back many times!

Elizaveta our server was the only positive part of dining at Cibo tonight As a restaurateur myself I am completely puzzled by this place. A girl swings high over the wine room on a motorized swing retrieving the wine. A gimmick of course to deflect from the completely incompetent food I've watched this place being built over the last year or so and I cannot imagine what it cost to build but certainly in the many millions of dollars ,It sadly ends up like so many places in SOBE all flash and no substance! I debated with my wife tonight as to whether we should try this place or take the short stroll to Machialina ..the best Italian restaurant in Miami but instead said lets try the new place. Lamb Ragu was non dimensional squares of tasteless lamb the furthest thing from a Ragu I've ever seen .Fresh pasta was unremarkable. Risotto Milanese was more like Uncle Bens risotto if he made one. Smoke and mirrors does not a great restaurant make. Prediction: unless there are deep pockets or funny money holding this place up I give it two years tops. Do yourself a favor. Go try Machialina on Alton for real Italian food crafted with love not factory food as we experienced tonight Finally Elisaveta really did a great job and should be working in a much better restaurant where her friendliness and competency would compliment wherever she works

For SoBe this place is inexpensive but really good! Great pizza with fantastic wine list in a chic setting. I would go again for sure! We sat on the roof top terrace outside and the night was splendid, the view was nice too. Wines galore good appetizers and fantastic pizzas too! Check this place out.

Really a great place. The venue itself is beautiful with a great atmosphere and a nice vibe. Sometimes, places with a cool scene like this can prove to be a let down when the food arrives. Luckily, that is not the case here. The house made pasta is a real stand out, as is the nutella-banana pizza for dessert. Yum! What secured the 5th star in my review was the service. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient. I'll be back soon!

This was our first visit to the SoBe location. I know it's quite new. The place is very nicely appointed and the ambiance Super! We had a few things to nibble on and drinks and we all enjoyed it very much. The top terrace is lovely. Too bad they close it after 12m. Just like the Miracle Mile place, this is definitely worth going back to! We will be back!

Great food, great staff, beautiful design. We've been to Cibo twice in the last few days. We started up on the roof deck bar, fantastic. John the bar manager spent plenty of time describing all the craft beers they have on tap. Plus a great wine selection. Salvatore (Napoli) the manager was really nice to give us a tour of the entire Resturant, these guys take personal service to a new level! Our next visit we had diner downstairs, so upbeat and chic, beautiful! Chris the op manager made us feel like owners. Again service off the charts!! Great menu, we had Rondel B as our waiter. He was awesome. This is a new resturant that really care about great food and outstanding service!! Thanks guys for 2 great nights!!

Second visit to this location and this time we wanted to try the Happy Hour on thursdays for wine and beer between 4-7. When the check arrived we noticed NO happy hour prices, upon asking the waiter he stated that the happy hour is only available at the BAR. I looked all over the menu and diddn't see such restriction. They even have a postcard at the hostess station advertising their Happy Hour, and there is no indication anywhere that you must sit at the BAR to enjoy 1/2 price wine and beer. We find such policies to be poor business practice and misleading. Be aware if you go about their phony happy hour. Service and food quality were as good as our first time visit.

Amazingggg. Loved the ambiance, food, drinks and service. My cousin made reservations on a Thursday night for her birthday dinner. It wasn't necessary at all but with a group of 10 girls you never know. HUGE place with an incredible application of decor, it's honestly such a beautiful restaurant, great for picture taking. I got the gnocchi in gorgonzola cream sauce accompanied by their white sangria. I was literally in heaven

Came to have a drink in this place. Never been it smells bad I guess bc of the sewer. Our bartender looks and acts like she's is still drunk from night before even though it's 4:30pm. Only two other people at bar yet she forgot our drinks and the other bartender was kind enough to make it for us. I've heard good things about this place so hopefully next time I can give it a better rating. On the positive it is gorgeous inside. I would like to update my review. The manager Jeff came over and apologized and was extremely nice

Beautiful restaurant, sat next to the huge wine display, experienced the girl on the harnest reaching for the Wines. The food was great, I had the shrimp appetizer that was excellent, then I had the short ribs with polenta. The chocolate dessert was delish. My friend had the lamb ragu that was delish. The service was great and our server Alessandro was excellent, pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What an amazing service by Alessandro our server. His recommendations were awesome. My husband had lamb with pasta and he loved it. I'm a vegetarian and had pesto pasta which was very tasty. Wines were a perfect match to our food. All in all I would highly recommend this place to everyone. An added plus was the wine angel. Money well spent.

Worth the Schlep. Whenever I dine in Miami I try and decide if I would commit to a 40 minute drive to eat here again. The answer to Cibo is yes. Let's break this one down. Ambience : huge , modern , open , minimalist space. It felt very upscale and well designed. There was nothing uncomfortable about it. Service : our waitress made a few mistakes but the manager was all over it , we didn't even ask him to come by , he could just tell that she only brought out 4 first courses for 5 people then made a perfectly cooked pasta that she didn't put on the order appear out of thin air. Drinks : the wine list is huge and they have a beautiful bar with a wide variety of spirits. Both my manhattan and Oldfashioned fell a little short but there was nothing weirdly muddled in either. So that's a plus. Food : this is where this place really stood out. The cold seafood salad was not a traditional presentation but was amazing. I was also impressed with the size , quantity and quality of the shellfish at the $16 price point. For my entree I had the lamb ragu with parpadelle and it was another home run. I did get to taste some of the veal chop Milanese and it was delish. For dessert I had the chocolate bombe which was relatively standard but very well done. Overall a great meal and will come back. Price point was very reasonable for quality and location.

Been to CIBO only for brunch, three times. It's a fixed price, all you can eat option. Drinks are not included but they have 50% on champagnes (good deal on Laurent Perrier Rose). The space itself looks great. They have an omelet station, pasta, meat, salad, seafood.... Food is good, especially the prime rib. They had stone crab last time, off season, so frozen, and you could tell. Better not to have it in my opinion especially when you are located across from Joe's :) Service can be spotty, we had to wait for our drinks for a while. Overall a very good place for brunch.

Having been to coral gables location which is practically right next to my house, my bf and I decided to have a nice and cozy date night and try out the location in south beach primarily because we wanted to experience the rooftop. Unfortunately, a private party had reserve the upstairs and we could not be seated. So sad, but I will definitely be back to try it again! Like the location in the gables, cibo is so beautifully decorated. Very modern, huge space and great music. Our server was very friendly and made sure we had a great time. I believe the owner or could have been the manager also came by our table and asked how we were doing. Food wise, everything was beyond delicious. We started off with the polenta fried and fried calamari. For entrees, I had the lobster ravioli, in a creamy sauce and stuffed with lobster meat. My bf had the pollo parmigiana and potatoes. The portion was huge, the chicken was so very cheesy and the potatoes had this pretty amazing flavor, can't really describe. I also had a few glasses of a very delicious prosecco. All in All, we had a pretty awesome experience. Loved everything about this location and we will be back probably for brunch on the rooftop. Can't wait!

What a great spot! We were staying at the Hilton Bentley and found this gem around the block. Beautiful decor, great service, and great extensive wine and drink list. OMG! I actually can't believe I never left a review for this place. I love it so much! The food is amazing. The pizzas are superb. They make their own pasta. And they create their own drinks. You can choose from 4 different ambiance like the dining room, the bar area, the outdoor bar area or the loungy terrace upstairs. The place is tastefully decored. And if you are trying to cut on carbs they have plenty of choices. They have different events going trough the week. Like lobster day on Tuesday with a special lobster menu, 10 after 10 on Thursdays which is a pizza for $10 and 2 drinks for $10 and a Sunday brunch. I can't get enough of this place . It will not fail you. Should I mention the service? Very well trained and attentive personal with smile and ready to serve you.

I really wanted to like this place! It's huge and beautiful and we were given free limoncello shots in the end of our meal but the food was "meh", even tho every thing looked delicious in their menu, whatever I ate didn't really impress me; I had the carpaccio, lobster ravioli and over cooked gnocchi w/ gorgonzola sauce, but the worst of all was the service (our waitress was super rude even for Miami/Italian [low] standards) and the cherry on top was when the check came and they over charged us 2 extra glasses of wine! :/

Came here on my anniversary back in March and, boy, was it perfect! The ambiance, the staff and the food exceeded my expectations. I couldn't believe how beautiful the place was and how many intricate details had been placed just about everywhere you looked. We made a reservation and snagged the perfect table on the rooftop, which was wonderful. We ordered a prosciutto pizza and a fruti di mare to share, and got some tasty margaritas to go with the great food! Nothing makes me happier than leaving a place and anticipating the next time we go back. We actually just found and bought a Living Social deal for the brunch buffet which we're so excited about! Sounds like a Cecconi's style brunch buffet (my favorite)

There's a new hip spot south of fifth and its flexing its muscles. CIBO is one heck of a find. My friend, a south of fifth resident, turned me on to this new place. First off, its HUGE. I don't even know where to begin. The wine cellar is so impressive and its quite entertaining to watch the employees climb up to get the wine bottles. The bar is my favorite area to sit at. I love the layout. Its hard to feel crowded and it helps that the bartenders are friendly. Seriously though, the elephant in the room is the amazing rooftop. How could you not want to sit up there and relax with some friends?! The menu is eclectic. I've eaten here probably over five times and have rarely ordered the same thing. Everything has been phenomenal. Seriously. Not one time have I been disappointed by a dish. The diavola pizza is a MUST TRY. If you are watching what you eat, they have gluten free and whole wheat pasta options and they are all hand made, in house. Keep your eyes out and you may even spot a Real Housewife or two...hey, its happened to us!

Top place! Gorgeous decor, great service and amazing ambiance. It's a 3 story restaurant (yes!) and you must check each floor, just beautiful decor with positive writing around. The wine cellar is incredible! We went to Cibo for the 4th of July festivities and wow... It couldn't be better! The rooftop has awesome cabanas and it was the perfect spot to watch the fireworks in South Beach. Great complimentary olives! We got the formaggio platter with prosciutto and wine. My son had the margueritta pizza...It's huge and delicious! In the second time, we went with a big group of friends, we sat downstairs and it was even better. We tried the carpaccio (I will give a 9),Grilled octopus (8) and the caprese pizza (10). My favorite actually was the specialty drink, however I can't remember the name. It was a mix of spices, olive oil, lemon and ?? I don't remember, but I will definitely come back to try it again. From the hostess, to the bartender and the waitress we had an amazing service. We love this place!

Ok so I'm not one to write reviews much but I had to write one about this place. It's awesome! The vibe, the decor, the food all of the above! Finally some real homemade pasta, yum! I love going to a place where their cocktail list is not ur typical Cosmo, Gin and tonic... You have to try their Romeo and Juliet strawberry Rosemary drink, ridiculous! Who knew combining Rosemary and strawberry would taste so good? I also had the pleasure to meet the brand ambassador, she was so helpful and explained their event ideas. Definitely a place to consider for your next event. One last thing, STOB BY THE ROOFTOP! Check out their beer selection, they literally brew their own beer!

During my holiday I found Cibo through Yelp and with its great reviews and reviewers pictures I decided to check it out and it was such a great find! I absolutely loved the ambiance, such a great date place! Our server was knowledgable, friendly and efficient. He had such great recommendations for both food and wine. I ordered the most simple dish on the menu, the spaghetti and my date ordered the seafood pasta and we both finished both big bowls of it. It was that good. The spaghetti is one of the BEST spaghetti's I've ever had. Seriously! It paired well with my wine and the bread was so fresh, everything about our meal was lovely. In the end he recommended this chocolate mousse dessert and it just put the cherry on top of our fabulous meal. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in South Beach. Cheers!

I have to say...EVERYTHING about this place is fabulous! The ambience, the food! And of course our server Rolando! You are amazing! All the food is made in house, ingredients straight from Italy. I would DEFINITELY come here again. I want to make an emphasis on Rolando's service. EXCEPTIONAL PEOPLE. He is attentive, kind hearted, everything a server should be. This was my first time here and TRUST ME...many more to come!

Lets go straight to the point: We had a great dining experience at Cibo. Everything was excellent, from the deco, the service, the food. So if you want to save time don't even bother reading my review, just go... it is that good. But if you want to get more details about our visit to Cibo, here it is: - Location: great spot in South Beach, south of 5th, trendy - Deco: minimalist modern deco, very nice, I loved it, I felt very good surrounded by some great design ideas and implementations. Besides the main dining room, they have a huge bar area and a terrace, make sure you check then out. - Wine: great selection of wines, from affordable (we had a great Italian Pinot Grigio for only $28) to premium ($400 and up), and the "cellar" is arranged vertically behind a glass wall, where a young lady hoists herself up/down left/right to reach the desired bottle (I think the highest bottle was like 20 feet of the ground). She's called the "Wine Angel". I loved to watch her pick bottles, flying around, kinda mesmerizing. - Appetizers: after we sat down we got complementary warm garlic bread, perfect start while we waited for our Polenta Fries, which were amazingly good. Being Latin I have had many styles of fried Polenta over the years, and this one was the best, hands down. My wife's grandma used to prepare Polenta by hand, grinding and then drying the paste before frying on an open air wood stove, that was the "standard of the good polenta", and this one matched it. Soft and moist inside, crispy on the outside. Wow. - Main dishes: I had the "Seafood Linguine", which is the dish I usually order when I see it on any menu. This baby was amazing. The tomato sauce was light, not acid, a pleasure on the taste buds. The seafood items were fresh and tasty, the calamari was not chewy but instead had perfect texture. I ate the entire plate, which was a very generous portion. - My wife had the Lobster Ravioli, again the sauce was smooth and the raviolis filled with Lobster meat, excellent. She couldn't eat it all, thus I had my next day lunch gourmet food already setup! - My daughter had the Pappardelle with lamb and pecorino shavings. She said the pasta was perfectly cooked and the flavors amazing. She absolutely loved it, and also could not finish it all (another take home for me!) To finish the potpourri of flavors, we ordered the Chocolate Baci Bombe (a ball of chocolate mouse covered with a shell of chocolate) and the Tiramisu, which was prepared and present in a way I had never seen before. Both very stupidly good. Service: our waiter was never too intrusive, but always present when needed. He was knowledgeable, and attentive to our questions and comments. I think his name was Arodi, not sure... anyway Arodi, thanks for the great service. The cost? All that, including a bottle of Zonin Pinot Grigio, was $119 (no tax or tip added here), very reasonable for South Beach, and considering the quality of the food, service and ambiance it is downright a bargain. In conclusion: my high standard to be beat by any Italian restaurant is Gabiano (downtown), Gabiano always surprised me with incredible tasty and creative Italian dishes (I usually don't order from the menu, I let the chef decide what I should try that evening, and I was never ever disappointed, although the price is on the high side). But I have to admit that Cibo is nibbling at Gabiano's heels, specially if you factor in the affordability of Cibo ... will see how this fight develops. Chiao!

Love this place! My new fave go-to in SOBE! It is so impressively stylish and trendy...the architectural and interior designs are visually appealing and amazing! The staff is courteous and professional, the ambience is comfortable and inviting, and the food was so very good. They also have a beautiful rooftop outdoor bar with incredible views! The unisex hand washing station on the second floor is so cool, too! This place is IMPRESSIVE!

I've only been to brunch on Sundays and I enjoyed it. Its $30 per person buffet. Bottles 50% off. They have an a la carte omelette station. A pizza and pasta station and a meat station. They even have clams and mussels and stone crab. A nice variety of cheese and cured meat. Also focaccia bread. The only station I didn't like was the dessert station, they were tasteless. They need to step it up on that. Also parking is extremely difficult, very busy and not a lot of street parking so you kinda have no choice than to Valet $15.00. I would recommend it for brunch

This is Miami gloss without the Miami cost. Pretty good Italian food, with very friendly and (mostly) attentive service, in a BEAUTIFUL space--complete with flying wine cellar girl--at a price that is not going to break the bank. For locals, it's fun to catch a glimpse of the TV Miami Beach once in a while, while still living normal-people lives. First off: the cocktails are REALLY nice, and not weak. (And $14.) I had the Cibo Daiquiri which had a nice pineapple rum--beautifully pineapply without being too sweet. And my co-Yelper had the house negroni, which had a depth of flavor, not just the usual bitterness. Off to a good start. The table bread was also...DUH-LISH-USS! Tasty rosemary crust, oily and garlicky. Really wonderful. Even better, they brought more without our even having to ask. In true proletarian fashion, I even took the extra home! I ordered for my entree one of the "regular" pasta offerings (there's an entire section of homemade pastas, and I wasn't sure why some dishes had the homemade pastas and others didn't; but I wanted the fixin's in the dish I ordered): a shrimp farfalle with cracked pepper and capers. It was so simple and so delicious. For all the shmanciness of this restaurant, it was only $14. And it was more than I could eat--after I ate all those slices of rosemary bread. I don't know when I'll be back. I don't get to South Point that frequently. But next time I'm in the area and Prime 112 feels a bit too prime for the occasion, sure I'll go back to Cibo!

Dinner was fantastic. We made an effort to visit the Cibo on south beach after having been one in Miracle Mile. The area and ambiance is extremely welcoming considering the fact we had no reservation yet the host made a effort to find us a table quickly. The house wine was lovely and paired well with the lasagna. All and all I'd say the CIBO on south point is my favorite and we will be coming back.

Shrimp was not cooked through, lackluster food quality. I'm a foodie quality was just not there. However the ambiance was beautiful. Manager and waitstaff very apologetic and helpful. The kitchen needs to get it together.

Great decor on the south end. Trendy spot and cool cocktails. Can't vouch for dinner, only drinks. But good service and a nice spot to unwind.

Stopped in by chance looking for a wine bar and mind blown after walking in. Our bartender is AMAZING! She gave us a tour of the place and encouraged us to look around. The ambiance is classy chic Miami... wine galore. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was on happy hour special so half off, and a prosciutto platter. Delicious! I'm looking forward to coming back for dinner!

The food at this place is soooo delicious, and the various dining rooms, bars, and rooftop eating areas are very enjoyable to eat in. This is a must-eat place in South Beach, I'm a local and take visiting friends here often.

The atmosphere here is awesome. It's a modern feel with authentic Italian cuisine. Everything I ate was delicious and the drinks were even better. Their specialty cocktails during happy hour were amazing. I definitely need to go back for brunch on the rooftop, it is prime South Beach location.

Terrible food, terrible service, and TERRIBLE TERRIBLE HOSTESS. This is by far the worst restaurant in Miami. STAY AWAY from this place.

They played musical chairs with us. We were sat then asked to move to another table. We were with a baby and the poor baby had to be placed on the side of the table which was the walkway to the patio. They took so long to get things right with our table that we ended up losing time on the brunch. The selection of food was lacking. They DO NOT include prosecco for brunch in this location. If you ask the servers or hosts they are clueless. The Cibo in coral gables is MUCH better than this one. I've lost my excitement and had a pretty embarrassing time out with friends. I will never go there again.

Went here for Sunday brunch today with a Group on for the brunch buffet. The location is awesome, vibrant decorations and even a wall full of wine that the hostess occasionally hooks up to a bungee jumping type device and retrieves certain bottles! I noticed they had 50% of wines & champagnes, but we weren't in the drinking mood! There was food everywhere! There was a an omelet station, but by the time I got there at 3, they were out of smoked salmon. There was a pasta station and I ordered the ricotta stuffed manicotti and it was pretty burnt and hard, pretty disappointing. They had a seafood mix, clams, oyster, shrimp, and calamari in a tomato sauce that had some spice and was delicious! There was a carving station with prime rib and turkey but I didn't try either! They had a pizza station where you create your own pizza and they bake it and my boyfriend got sausage and pepperoni and I'm assuming it was good because he went and got another one! They had all sorts of cold salad and tooooons of cheeses for cheese lovers! A small assortment of bread was available and the olive bread was delish! For dessert, it seems we missed the good stuff! I saw people with big slices of carrot cake and strawberry cheesecake earlier, but by the time I got dessert around 4, there was just apple pie & fruit tart left, both which were egh. Waitress didn't pay us very much attention, but it was very busy so I understand! While I was slightly let down on food overall, its a great brunch spot on South Beach!¹

I love this place! Though I didn't get to go upstairs because it was already closing time (yes I was there awhile) I loved it. Love the wine selection! I was in heaven.

This space is just beautiful and the bartender Marco is crafting great cocktails. With the atmosphere and drinks as good as they are this place is a already a must but the food takes it to one of the top places to visit on the beach. FRESH Italian. Wonderfully large menu that isn't overwhelming and has lots of gluten free options. Don't worry pasta fans, they make that fresh too. And there's a happy hour. Cheers to $3 draft Peroni!

Went in for drinks at the roof top. You get a somewhat blocked view of the ocean, but it's pretty. Drinks are descent and staff is courteous. We may need to go back to see how the food is. Overall, it was a good experience.

The decor in this place is to DIE for. Like nothing ive ever seen in Miami. Hip, new, cosmopolitan...so many compliments to pay this place. The prices are EXTREMELY affordable, you will leave with a full belly on $20 or less. If you go, give the pizza a shot. I was full off two slices, so it is a good appetizer for a table of four. I highly recommend this place! Also, pay a visit to the bathroom-- even if only to wash your hands. I cannot stress how beautiful the decor in this place was.

I saw the reviews online and then I saw the brunch deal on Living Social so it was a no brainer! It was our 2 year anniversary and Vday weekend so we opted to celebrate over brunch. The ambiance is beautiful- a mix between rustic, industrial, and chic. We sat in the bar area but there is also outdoor patio seating and the dining room, where the buffet is served alongside the kitchen. First up were omelets that were made to order by a very friendly chef who even taught me proper flipping technique! I paired that with a croissant, which was so light and flakey- I wanted to take some home! Next we had pizza made to order and pasta also made to your liking. First let's talk sauce- INCREDIBLE! The pizza sauce was so flavorful. If it wasn't so filling I would have had 10 mini pizzas! I selected the pink cream sauce on my pasta. I didn't get the pasta I selected and there were mushrooms in my sauce (that were not disclosed) but overall it also had great flavor. My bf had the bolognaise sauce but did not rave about it. At this point, we were full but there was still more to taste! We then tried the antipast and seafood offerings. I loved the artichoke and sundried tomato. We tried a polenta cake which was good but my favorite was the zuppa de pesce. Basically seafood in a spicy red sauce. Another great sauce! As I was licking my plate clean, I saw someone walk by with lobster. I immediately got back up to see since I did not see it in my previous trips. Sure enough there was stuffed lobster towards the meat carving area. I skipped that section but I saw roast beef and pork. The stuffed lobster was good and I wish I wasn't so full. My bf has a sweet tooth and had to try all the desserts. I only took a bite of each because let's face it, I was gluttonous! The cannoli was good. I wasn't crazy about the pannacotta. The cheesecake was rich and heavenly. We finished off our 2nd bottle of champagne (50% off bottles of select bubbly during brunch and they had my fav, Asti Spumanti on the list) and then took a tour of the 2nd level, which had bathrooms and the 3rd level that had a spectacular rooftop lounge. I will definitely be back, as I'm anxious to try the eggplant on their menu. If it has any of the delicious sauce I had during brunch, I may be heading to MIA more often. After brunch, we took a quick stroll on the beach. The day could not have been anymore perfect! Side Notes: Self parking is rather full so we valeted ($10 + tip) Bathroom was a little messy because women threw hand towels everywhere Our server Tyrease was personable despite having a lot of tables to cover. Perhaps a little help or less tables.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
