I found this place from a Miami Chinese students forum. I came here twice, both times give me eek moments. The restaurant, comparing to other authentic Chinese food labeled restaurant, is much dirtier. The table, floor, chairs all feel really greasy and it is a big turn off for my appetite. I tried hotpot the first time, everything seems right except for the flavor. The dip sauce taste nothing like authentic Chinese hotpot. A few months later, I decided to give it another try, and ordered 3 Chinese dishes. I mean, they don't taste bad, but they don't make me so thrilled that I can ignore the greasiness of the place I eat. Seeing my dirty tables keeps me thinking, if the outside tables are like this, how about the kitchen where my food is prepared. So I would give a pass for the food, but the overall package is an F. 30 out 100. Even writing this review gives me the eek feeling.

The food is okay. I prefer a place that has orange chicken. THE Spanish lady who takes the orders in the front does not look friendly at all. Sometime she had her good days and then her bad days. I know we are human but you work for a business that strides on customer service. So keep a smile at all times and check the attitude at the door or don't come to work.. 3 stars hopefully I can change it to 5 in the future. Yes I will come back for now.. I love the fact I can order lunch combos for dinner for a cheaper price. . Cool

Some friends took us here and we really enjoyed it! The oil fish was very good. It is spicy and very tender. We had a side of green beans which was really excellent. The spicy chicken is also very good, but you have to be careful not to eat the green chilies because they are very spicy! The place is a little bit of a dive, but our view is food trumps everything else. We would definitely go back here.

This place is an excellent mix of 'Latin Style' chinese food and authentic Chinese food. The restaurant was originally opened by Chinese immigrants from Nicaragua, who brought with them the flavors and intricacies that their Nicaraguan patrons were used to back in Nicaragua. The restaurant was well received by the Nicaraguan comminity and has thrived. Recently, the restaurant changed ownership, and they have started appealing to Chinese students from UM. There is actually a separate chef who prepares the meals ordered from the chinese menu. The two items I ordered: Twice Cooked Pork 回é‹è‚‰ which was excellent as I have had at any good Sichuan restaurant, and salt and pepper squid. very tasty and flavorful. You may also be please to hear that they offer hot pot, I did not try it but is quite popular, and looked great. Based on the number of chinese customers, I would say that they are doing something right.

Ok so I came here looking for some basic Chinese food and was overwhelmed in the best way possible. The lady serving me was extremely friendly. She was very helpful in explaining the menu and was very alert to when I needed help or a water refill. Very nice lady. I ordered the dinner special with honey chicken as my choice of entree. It came with an egg roll, choice of soup, and choice of fried rice. The portions were unreal big. The egg roll was super sized. The bowl of soup was triple sized from your average bowl of soup at any other Chinese restaurant. If I just ordered that, I would have been satisfied. This is when I knew I messed up. My main dish came out and it was very, very generous. The honey chicken was good and the fried rice was very tasty. Egg roll and soup were good was well. It took a hell of an effort for me to even come close to finishing it. If you are looking for some really good Chinese food with massive portions, this is the place for you. Hands down one of the best Chinese food places I have ate at.

Usually I don't want the same type of food more than a few times consecutively, but after dining in Chinatown in NYC I still found Chop Suey to be delicious. I'm still thinking about the shrimp the day after.. I've been here twice and had good eats both times. Chop Suey is not in the best area but it's a shoo in for one of most authentic Chinese restaurants here, and tastiest at that. We had salt and pepper shrimp, spicy fish, beef Vietnamese noodles, and bean sprout vegetable (rough translation). Our trio was stuffed and happy after the meal, and the service was fast on an empty Monday night. I'll definitely be back, and will probably bring my parents!

Chop Suey International is the gift that keeps giving. Set in the Western outskirts of Little Havana, the venue is one of a tiny handful of authentic Chinese restaurants in Miami (not the generic American - Chinese buffets you went to with your little league baseball team). Rumor has it: a Chinese immigrant family from Nicaragua sought to offer a new flavor of Culture in Little Havana. Hot pots are offered here - savory steaming broths are served in a steel pot, in which you cook/dip your selected skewers. Over time, the eatery has developed a strong appeal, drawing in folks from all walks of life - students from University of Miami, patients at Jackson Memorial, residents of Little Havana, Brickell, Downtown, etc. The exterior is rather quaint and wouldn't have you thinking much of the place, but the marvelous interior decor reminds its guests of the cultural journey their palates embark upon here: dumplings, lamb, fried squid, and grilled lamb were among the table favorites. Very excited to return here for the hot pot menu offerings and try the famous regional Qing Dao beer.

After being to many Chinese restaurants in both Miami and Miami Beach and being disappointed time and time again, my SO and I decided to try this place out for my bday. We ordered a lunch special of roast pork fried rice, general Tao's chicken and 4 eggrolls (paid for the eggrolls on the side) and to give you a portion idea, it fed both hubby and I for 2 meals each. You can more than get a solid meal (or 2) for under $10 Lunch Speicals are $6.75 and Dinner specials are at 9.99 (and include a soup, an eggroll, and a combination meal (eg fried rice and roast pork)) All meals come with fortune cookies which is a fun touch! Staff is not overly friendly but helpful when approached. They seem to take what they do seriously. This place is truly a gem. You get very affordable, fantastic tasting food with little to no wait time. I noted that Tony G stated that his food had a "smoky" taste and he's right but for me that aids to the authenticity of the Chinese food. Plus I love that taste (note its smokey not burnt/charred tasting) The chicken was smothered in a delicious sauce (that went great with the fried rice) but still retained a crisp and crunchy outside. It was absolutely delicious and went really well with the fried rice. They placed a few pieces of fresh steamed broccoli in the box which was a pleasant surprise. The ingredients used were fresh and veggies were crisp and crunchy. The egg rolls were good but not great in my opinion (though that a matter of personal taste since there was a touch too much of ginger in it for me, my So loved them) they were crisp and crunchy, not too oily and stuffed with fresh veggies and meat. Overall I highly recommend this place and hubby and I will most definitely be going back (and trying new things) as we have determined that its now our "go to Chinese restaurant".

FYI... I did not order chicken wings or French fries. I love Asian food...and if you look at my reviews... you will come across a variety of different venues I have been to and you will see many great restaurants I have praised, including Asian ones. Unfortunately, some restaurant need improvement and I call it as I see and taste it. This venue needed help and the food here was very bad and cold. Plus, I didn't mind that it had not been updated since the 70's...I call that being original.... lol Maybe it changed after my review at the end of 2011.

Most Authentic Chinese Food In Miami. I don't know why some idiot gave this restaurant a 1 star rating, he must not even have any ideal what authentic Chinese food is supposed to taste like, or ordered fry and chicken wings. The food is excellent here, and believe me, I'm Chinese and I know how hard it is to find an authentic Chinese restaurant in Miami. I recently took some guest who just came from China over here for some dinner, and he was very impressed by the food as well. Order from the Chinese menu and you'll be glad you did.

Solid, but unspectacular Chinese food. The fried rice was pretty good here. Hats off to this place for offering fried rice with the entrees (many places in the area do not). The BBQ ribs just didn't really do it for me. I was just not a big fan of the flavor of them. The general tso's chicken was better. I feel like they made an attempt at making the dish correctly. I found the chicken crispy but a little overcooked and dry. It also lacked spiciness which is an important part of the dish. Service was friendly and the prices were quite reasonable. Not a terrible option for Chinese in the area, but nothing amazing either.

I ordered take out and to my surprise once at home, the shrimp lo mein was burned and had a smoky taste Yuck! The fried rice, egg rolls and wonton soup were deplorable to say the least! We threw it out, totally inedible. The food here is so good that I must put a review here to compensate any likely obsolete opinion. I have been there quite a few times in 2012. Overall, this restaurant serves authentic Chinese food, specifically some wonderful Sichuan dishes. They are supposed to be different from Dim Sum, or orange chicken series. Everything I had there was hot, ready to serve and marvelous. However, I notice there is a buffet section in the restaurant. I never tried that, but consider it mostly for American Chinese cuisine lovers. The chef and the staff there were definitely professional and friendly during my visits, while the environment was fine, since I was not wearing a tie either.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I love this place. I've been coming to it for over 15 years. The food is delicious and I've had the same friendly waiter, Marcial, since then. My favorite is the Nicaraguan Chop Suey dish. I cannot find this dish anywhere else.

Food is good, desserts as my favorite. Not the best but good food. The woman taking orders is rude.. once she knows the client becomes more pleasant.

Food was delicious and service was efficient and fast. Servings are big so sharing recommended.

I've have the food here and maybe it's not authentic and maybe it's not fancy but it sure as hell is good. It hits the spot. You know when you get that craving, "Hmmm, I feel like ordering chinese." This is the spot. Great price and the portions are awesome. I always walk out full and taking some home. Service is excellent. I've never had a bad experience here.

I ordered take out and to my surprise once at home, the shrimp lo mein was burned and had a smoky taste Yuck! The fried rice, egg rolls and wonton soup were deplorable to say the least! We threw it out, totally inedible. I wonder if that was a bad day for the place because its been there a long time and they must do something right to be in business, but I am skeptical to give it another try....

one of the only good chinese places in Miami. good price and tasty food. 干锅童å鸡 is definitely my favor dish there (be careful, there is bone in the chicken)

The chef and the staff there were definitely professional and friendly during my visits, while the environment was fine, since I was not wearing a tie either.

very authentic Chinese restaurant. I highly recommend. If u want to try real Chinese. That's the place you should go. But u need to ask the waitress for the different menu. The price is reasonable. We spent around $18 per person
