I would not recommend ordering from this restaurant..... The ingredients for the fried rice tasted stale and greasy, the sechzuan sauce in the chicken was watered down, and the egg rolls were very greasy. Although the place is clean and well maintained the food leaves a lot to be desired. I am a very picky eater when it comes to chinese food. I have only ordered from here once, and it was enough to turn me away. If you have a better experience, I would love to hear it. Please note - The service was good and the people were friendly, it was the food that was my issue.

The delivery guy tried to push his way into my hotel room. He tried to physically push me away from the door so he could come in. He said he needed something to make an imprint of my credit card. ASK THEN!!! DON'T TOUCH ME!! Food- The sweet and sour chicken was 90% breading. Terrible. The bean curd soup was super delicious and healthy, but doesn't make up for the rest. Even if he meant no harm, that behavior is NOT okay. Bad news bears.

This place used to be Chan's. The restaurant is very clean to include the bathroom. Service was good. The food was too.... The only drawback is the drinks. Can soda is 1.25, fountain drinks was 1.99 w/unlimited refills. A two liter was $2.75. Do the math for 2 people. I would come back.

I ordered from my hotel using EAT24. It said 45-50 minutes online, but my order was in the lobby in 25! I picked the Krab Rangoon (I assume the "k" means it's not really crab). They were good, but I thought they needed a little more filling. I also ordered the General Tso's chicken. I selected medium spice in the order but really couldn't detect any spiciness. I'll try hot next time. Besides the items I chose, the bag also had white rice, a small tub of sweet and sour sauce, soy and duck sauces, and two fortune cookies. In short, a lot more food than I needed for one meal. Fortunately my hotel has a fridge and I'm here more than one night. I'll be eating this again tomorrow for lunch! Overall a very good experience both with this restaurant and eat24.

No stars!!! I've ordered from this place in the past because of its convenient location, 2 min car drive. I ordered online through yelp. 45 mins later, still no food. I call them and ask whats up, I am only 2 mins away from you. She tells me it will be there in 10 mins. 15 mins later, someone calls me to come downstairs to get my delivery. Go downstairs, which I wanted delivery to my door, I get the food. The lady made sure to show me there was no tip prepaid. I sign the receipt and she ask me for a cash tip. A tip after already paying $3 for delivery and having to wait an hour? I told her no tip. She gave me a look that could burn a hole through a wall. I was already pissed about the wait, I was sick, so I tell her "GTFOH, it take you an hour and you charged me a delivery fee, now you want a tip? You didnt do anything extra to deserve a tip" So this lady proceeds to argue with me and tell me I am wrong and Fuck you in here broken english. It was quite hilarious as I have tough skin and things dont get to me. She left furious and burnt a few more holes in me with her staredowns, and flipped me the bird. But what really matters, the food. It was warm, of course. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. It was mostly batter. I also ordered the pepper steak which was ok to good. Nothing special. There are a few better options in this same area. Kam Long and Gourmet Gourmet are much better options than this place.

They deliver to the Gables and have super affordable lunch menu, so that in itself is awesome. The lunch menu has a large selection. The fried rice is good, the LO Mein too, and it comes with a soda. You definatley get more than what they charge. The delivery guy is super friendly, and you can order online with Eat 24

Delivery was REALLY fast, 25-30 minutes when it said 45-60. The dumplings were ok, a bit bland. Honey-Garlic chicken was good, I liked the sauce a bit different than the normal sauce you would expect for this dish but spot on for me. The rice was flavorful and everything seemed fresh to my tasting. PORTIONS HARE HUGE. PRICES ARE RIGHT. Over all, go for it. Though I am sure some items are hit or miss.

Dinner Aug 6 In a hotel and i ordered delivery. Not sure on how food would be so I ordered Dinner special General Tso Chicken and Dinner special Pork Lo Mein. Also got appetizer of Krab Rangoons (they spelled it with the "K" - not me). Portions were HUGE - 1 dinner was enough for 2 people. Dinners were good and the egg rolls that came along were also good. The Krab Rangoons was fried too hard and lacked adequate filling - but the red sauce for dipping was great for the egg rolls! Best part of all you ask? The next morning, there were no bad after effects of the food (wink wink) !

Overall a solid Chinese takeout. Not quite high end, but for take out it is exceptional. Good quality tasty food. The young lady over the phone is friendly and patient and they usually deliver within the time they promise. Definitely a go to takeout in this area. Just a *little* expensive for Chinese. I'd expect to pay 5-8 dollars less than I actually do. But, the quality makes up for it when the craving strikes.

It's a no from me. While the fried rise was tasty and well prepared, the crab Rangoon lacked filling, the spring rolls were bland to the point of tasteless and the wontons in the wonton soup tasted, well, "funny." I would not recommend nor will I order from China Kitchen again!

The food was not great. We ordered wonton soup, fried wontons and General Tso's chicken. Fried wontons very greasy, cold no meat and the chicken left a strange and bad taste in my mouth.

First day i ate here... food was great. General Tso's chicken was awesome. so I ordered the next day and the chicken was really bad. it was partially cooked. they did send a replacement over but that was equally bad. so i guess its really variable!!!

Two and a half stars It's out of my way but the comment about curry noodles piqued my imagination. When I got there the venerable lady told me there was no such thing, it probably was Singapore noodles- which I like but wasn't in the mood for. The place is really run down dive but I was on my own and I didn't care I sat down and ordered the curry chicken dinner. with a sweet and sour soup.. When the soup arrived my mind went Bingo, someone here cares! The soup was filled with scallions, mushrooms, sprouts. Definitely a few notches above the typical. The mandatory egg roll was overcooked and oily, beh! The pork fried rice was tasty, much better than the last two Chinese joints I had tried I ate all of it. The main dish I didn't care for, I had ordered the wrong thing it was mostly bell papers -don't like them- and onions. I decided to give it a second try and went back with a friend. He ordered the wonton soup and schezuan chicken wings and hot and sour soup and General Tso chicken. My friend enjoyed the soup and was delighted with his chicken wings - which looked light fried. The soup (great), the eggroll (lousy), and the fried rice (tasty) were a replay of last time so it wasn't a fluke. The sauce of the general Tso chicken was very good, better than the other cheap places I tried it but the chicken had been fried for a little to long - I'm very picky about fried foods, I only like it fried fresh and lightly. Overall it's a very good neighborhood takeout if, but not worth a long drive.

i was reading alot of the reviews on here i cant believe what some people wrote. i eat here at least 6 times a month and sometimes even 3 times a week. (when your job is to cook you don't like cooking at home) i grow up in new york city and Chinese food in miami never came close to what we have in nyc and by far china kitchen is the best in town. the workers in the front are always friendly the owner grace is very nice there food is always hot and fresh. ive had everything on the menu and never had a bad meal here even the white rice is delicious. i work as a sou chef at a restaurant and i have been in and out of kitchens and i will say this place is high quality. haha infact when im done with this review im gonna order a beef and broccoli lunch combo. the people who wrote those bad reviews probably think that mall Chinese food is good china kitchen is quality not premade frozen like pf changs or panda express. i forgot to mention that alot of these reviews are from the old owners yelp should really remove those.

As a Chinese food fan, I am pretty critical of the quality of the Chinese food I consume. That said, Chang's definitely gets a thumbs up! First time I tried was with two friends. We ordered the special fried rice, eggrolls, and the honey chicken. WOWSERS.... everything was amazing. I saw one of the other reviewers mention that their eggroll was oily and overcooked which surprised me because since my first visit, it has become a staple and the only place I order from and I can honestly say that I've never had an eggroll from there that was short of amazing. The owner is very kind and was very attentive. She struck up conversation with me my first time dining in. After visiting several times and making friends with the staff, they let me peek into the kitchen once to say hi to the chef and i could help but notice how clean the kitchen was. The dining is a little dive-y and the building is a little out-dated, but the cleanliness reassured me that I was eating at a quality place and the owners are so friendly that I always know I'll enjoy my lunch or dinner there. The special fried rice always has super fresh, large pieces of ribs, shrimp, egg and ham and the honey chicken is perfection--EVERY TIME. I love this place and am glad to say I'm a regular. If you visit, start with the wonton soup and an eggroll and definitely try the General Tso's or the honey chicken and fried rice. You'll definitely LOVE IT.

Amazing food. Small place, run by a lovely old lady from Korea with an intense desire to make you happy. Tremendous curried noodles, delectable hot and sour soups. Wonderful spring rolls. Highly, highly recommended.

There is a shortage of Chinese food options around the airport. With that said I proceeded to enter. There was an Asian woman working the register (she is mentioned favorably in other reviews) she was very friendly. The food took about 20 minutes to prepare ( my order was for carry out). When I got the food back to my room first thing I noticed was no dipping sauce for my steamed dumplings. Second thing I noticed, when I bit into my egg roll, oil was dripping out of it, it was saturated. One more thing, the chicken in my fried rice was processed cubes of chicken with little taste and no texture. I could taste and smell burnt cooking oil. Other than that it was a pleasurable experience. I think two stars is more than generous.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
