I heard about Chef's Kitchen from a friend and, of course, came to check it out on Yelp... I was convinced I had to try it. I've gone in to order take-out and I've also ordered their weekly meal plan. I've had wonderful experiences with both! This place is hidden amongst warehouses behind the falls shopping center and it's not exactly an eat-in kind of place, though it has some tables. The menu changes daily for take-out items and it changes for the weekly meal plans as well. I love that the staff here is so friendly and accommodating. They always make sure to go the extra mile so that you're satisfied with your meal. The meals all consist of healthier options and portion controlled sizes. Take-out experience: You walk in and pick from their daily menu, place your order and wait a few minutes for them to prepare. While you wait, you get to try their homemade (I think raspberry infused) iced-tea... Delicious! The staff and owners are always there to share input on what's really great and to answer any questions you have. Once your meal is ready, they bring it over to you and you're off. Weekly meal plan experience: You can see the menu for the week (5 days, M-F) at the restaurant itself or you can request it by e-mail. We call in the order on Saturday night and the prices are based on how many orders you need per night. The meals for the first three days of the week are delivered on Sunday between 4-6pm. The last two days worth of meals are delivered on Wednesday night between 4-6pm. The meals for the weekly plan are smaller than the take-out orders and all side items are brown/healthier. They come packaged and ready to be heated in the microwave. Also, they let you know that if you will not be home at delivery time, you have the option of leaving a cooler outside your door where they can leave the food for you. I don't like that option so I usually pick it up on Monday if I won't be home on Sunday at that time. I love that all the meals are portion controlled so I always feel like I have a perfectly balanced meal every night without having to worry about cooking. They also have a "large protein" option if you're not used to the small meals. I think both options can be a little overpriced... But they make up for that with very healthy meals and incredibly great service. I will definitely continue to order from here!

Ok, if you're reading this, you're in on one of the biggest secrets in miami. Awesome food. You have no idea what you're in for. This is really a food delivery/takeout service more than a restaurant. Their big gig is catering for holiday events - thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. They catered a big party for us and it was fantastic. If you're catering, scalloped potatoes and stuffed mushrooms MUST be on your appetizer menu. Trust me on that one ;)

Ok yelpsters. I'm showing you all my cards- this is by far my most sacred, secret place in Miami. And I've decided to share it with you, lucky ones. Chef's is nestled between a garage and a dance studio. Not exactly the most picturesque of locations but you'll soon forget about that. The interior is wide, open and catering tools and materials line the walls. Every single thing that I've tried at Chef's is amazing. Chef Hector prides himself on simple prep- no additives, no chemicals. I've tried many an item here- like fresh salads or dinner entrees, but the star of Chef's is the southwest chicken ciabatta sandwich. The avocado paired with this amazing white sauce drizzled on a piece of chicken breast. ::sigh:: instant heaven. Chef's also offers a healthy meal plan- think Nutrisystem, but with real, healthy tasty food. You can pick up your orders on a monday, freeze the little tupperwares and pop them in the microwave for a perfectly balanced meal with 300-400 calories. Simply amazing. *note- bring cash since they don't accept credit cards

This place is definitely out of the way and off the beaten path. I love going here for lunch and they always have nice, fresh ingredients. My favorite is the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, which comes on fresh bread. This sandwich is always excellent and is my absolute favorite. The only drawback is that they do not accept credit cards, so make sure that you have cash on hand. Also, sign up for their daily emails so you can get what they have on their menu by email daily. I have taken advantage of this many times. I highly recommend that anyone try this out, from the young professional to the busy mother that doesn't have enough time.

Yumm! Whenever I'm in the area you can find me eating lunch here. Chefs Kitchen is great for lunch and dinner Mon-Fri and they cater events and party's on weekends. This is a family owned business and Chef Hector is very talented. He studied at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and he is always in the know about all the best restaurants. I am never disappointed with his food. The menu changes everyday so you will never get bored eating there everyday. I usually substitute the regular vegi medley and mashed potatoes for his sauteed spinach and scalloped potatoes. If you like salad the Asian salad is wonderful. I find myself getting the chicken special or the fish. I love the way he prepares sea bass. Oh and his Chicken with roasted pears and Gorgonzola is to die for!

(Singing) We woke up in Chef's Kitchen saying, How the hell did we not find this place sooner? OH BAY BAYYYYY! - Cause I'm officially drunk in love with this place! Wow, where to begin... I found this place by accident while in the neighborhood and wanting something to eat. The common denominator in each review was that everyone was saying that this was their secret spot and did not want to give it away (hmmmmmmm - oh really?). I called and this wonderful woman picked up and explained what there process was (they are not necessarily a restaurant but more so of a catering company which opens there doors to the public during certain days within the week) and proactively offered to send me there DAILY menu (including today's) by email. I was so hype and also appreciative of the fact that she proactively told me that they do not accept credit cards. I made my way to there location, which is very hidden near "The Falls" shopping center by the warehouses. Upon entering, you will notice a "few" seating options for the few that choose to dine here (again, it's not really a dine in restaurant more so take-out). Although it's not a dine in restaurant, the space is huge and you can tell that it is primarily used to hold cooking and food equipment which is probably used when they are catering an event, the space is very organized and clean as well. The woman behind the counter (the same person I spoke to over the phone) was just as delightful to deal with in person. Her customer service skills are on point and she made some excellent recommendations. I even mentioned to her that I saw a dish on Yelp that looked so good and she offered to have the chef prepare it but forewarned me about the wait as the chef only uses fresh ingredients. Let me tell YOU, I didn't even eat the food yet and I was drunk in love with there service (OH BAY BAY)! I decided to order the following... Lemon Poppy Seed Crusted Wild Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus - I'm not a big fan of Poppy Seeds as the woman could tell when she mentioned the ingredients and said "Hey, we can take it out". The piece of Salmon was rather large in size (which I love) and was grilled to muthabluckin perfection! There was a nicely flavored herb sauce placed over it that I could drink a bottle of. The mash potatoes were dead on and swallowed herb juice that was swimming in my plate therefore taking it to another level. Yo, SMH (Shake my head), I don't even eat Asparagus but me and it had a love affair today.... OK! Chef's Iced Herbal Fruit Tea - This was a great way to finish the meal, not overly sweet with different fruits swimming at the bottom. This place produces healthy food but trust me you can't even tell. I enjoyed every single bite and almost took my tongue off. Just some tips... They are open to the public from Mon-Thurs at 11:30 am- 8:00 pm Call and have the menu emailed to you The menu changes daily They can make your weekly meal plans for those interested in having someone else do meal prep and remain healthy (I also believe they deliver these meals) Man oh man, this is my new spot and if you ain't foolish it will be yours too.

Again Wow.. Didn't think it could get any better but omg the churrasco!!! Perfectly seasoned.. Perfectly cooked! The mashed potato is great and the vegetable julienne is PERFECT! And guess what they have for dessert? Beignets Oh and I almost forgot.. Their vinaigrette is so good I almost want to drink it from a wine glass :)

I'm giving it 2 stars because they only accept cash. And they don't put a sign on the door stating this. I didn't get to try their food because of this.

Where do I start? Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! Five star food at a great price. They have never failed me. Becoming a weekly stop for me. Chicken is to die for, no matter how it's prepared! Can say the same for the salmon. Great weekly meal plans as well. In love with the potato crusted salmon, scalloped sweet potatoes and asparagus. Stop by you won't be disappointed.

I would recommend this to anyone, from getting a quick meal to ordering a feadt. I have been going to this place religiously for lunch every tuesday and thursday for about a year and I can describe it in one word: Amazing. Its a family owned place, and the owners are the ones who take your order and prepare your food, needless to say the service is top tier. The owner is extremely passionate about food and it shows. Everything is made fresh and from scratch to order, something that most other places would charge a lot more for. (Heads up: only cash or checks, so don't show up with a card or you'll have to walk down to the nearby atm. They have deliveries, holiday specials and Health concious and vegetarian choices. The only thing better than the service is the FOOD! Chef is an expert at making anything and everything. The menu changes constantly, and i have had the privilege of eating every dish I was interested in at some point, i have NEVER been disappointed. In fact chef was the only person to convince me to eat Kale, and I hate kale. Some great meals to try: asian salmon, bbq turkey meatballs, cracker crusted chicken, and the churrasco are all really really good. They have turkey, veggie and beef burgers that are superior to almost every burger place I've tried in Miami. If you are in a hurry, you can pick up a soup, which are all great, or a sandwich (my fave is the prosciutto) dont forget desert! The chocolate mousse and the cookies made from scratch are amazing.

We regularly get take-out at this place for lunch at work. The food is excellent (the chicken dishes and Asian Salad especially) but their daily specials barely change and the meals end up being almost exactly the same each day. They could spice up the vegetable choices but I guess they're trying to cut costs by using the same veggies every day.

This place is a hidden treasure. We often pick up lunch from Chefs kitchen, every time enjoying the delicate flavor of our dish of the day. I love the portions because they aren't hug mounds sitting in front of you making you feel stuffed for the rest of the day. Staff is very friendly. Bit of a hassle that they don't take credit cards.

An amazing diamond in the rough. It is located in a warehouse area across from the Falls shopping center. Easy to find but definitely not where I would expect to get gourmet food! We ordered to go and got: rib eye steak, pesto snapper, and lamb chops. Also got the lobster bisque and a few deserts. Every bite of the food was amazing. All very well prepared and very tasty. The food also comes in these nice plastic containers which actually did a good job keeping it warm on the drive home. The reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because I felt they were a bit overpriced for take out (they do take out only), and because they don't take credit cards (really? in 2011?) I am also going to ding them for not having a website/twitter feed/facebook page with their menu (which changes daily).

I love everything from Chef's Kitchen. I walk there from my shop to pick up great healthy and fresh food. It's really nice to have them right next door. Also, I really enjoyed the Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners my family have tried over the years. It's gourmet take-out and catering! Highly recommended. Try the fruit tea.

Chef Hector is amazing in the kitchen. I have been ordering food from here for years now. Discovered it about eleven years ago and I've been a loyal fan ever since. I even trust Chef's Kitchen to cater my family's Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter meals. Oh, and Super Bowl, too. The interior isn't anything exciting, but that's not why we come here in droves. Cement floor, a few pictures on the wall, and no table service (there are only three or four tables anyway). But the food will blind you to its atmospheric shortcomings. Chef's is open for lunch and dinner, five days a week, and everything - EVERYTHING - will exceed your expectations. His menu changes daily so call to be put on his email lists. Personal favorites include the turkey and brie sandwich, the fruit-filled homemade iced tea and the Kahlua Brownie Mousse. Make you give back things you never stole, it's so good. If you ever need a ham for a family celebration, order it from Chef's Kitchen. WOW. His bourbon glaze is heavenly with just right amount of sweetness and bourbon. And his beef tenderloin ROCKS.
