Food is Delish! But I went there and my tostones we raw in the center (to me was not a problem) and I expected them to bring new ones. Instead they stuck them back in the fryer and brought the same ones back that I had already bit. So my bit tostones went into the fryer and everyone else is using the same oil. Yuk!!!! This is my go to place for protein after a workout. Good flavor on their steaks, and they do a good job on their fish. Their steaks are a little better than Outback, for a frame of reference. Not steakhouse quality, but better than chain. The Pros 1) Can be healthy. Want a lean piece of meat and a carb? They can do it. I hate ordering a piece of fish, and it coming out covered in butter. This place just grills what you want. 2) Tasty fish, and good steak. 3) Quick. I order at 9:15, and my steak is good to go at 9:30. Perfect for after a late workout. The cons 1) I've had mixed experiences with the staff. A few times they've been good, a few times they've been crappy. So it's a mixed bag. The older servers have been good constantly, though. So I guess it's just the younger kids? 2) Parking. Sometimes it's a fight to get in and out of here, even on off hours. Hazards of a strip center restaurant. 3) a little pricey. A dinner will run you around $15 (+/- $2) per person.

Great food as the charcoals in the Palms at town n country. Service was great as well. Very attentive. I ordered the Baby Churrasco with Gallo pinto, tostones , the steak was delicious, cooked to perfection. It was empty which it made me feel sorry for them as they are right next to Sergio's restaurant ; however, I definetely think that Charcoals has better food. Will definetely be going back with my entire family. I recommend this place for sure, is in a good location. Plenty of parking, great tasting food, great service. Can't go wrong!

Wow! Just when I was throwing in the towel on Nicaraguan food Charcoal completely changed my mind. You wouldn't expect such great food from the looks on the outside, you also would expect it to be so big. We were pleasantly surprised with everything! Smart business tactic by the owners not naming it your typical "Nica Name" otherwise people might not be willing to give it a try. We started with some Hawaiian Tostones & Queso frito, Excellent! I know there's not much to say about chicken but their grilled chicken breast was AMAZINGLY TENDER & DELICIOUS! The Gallo pinto was perfect as was their perfectly cooked plantains. The baby churrasco was flavorful,tender and cooked to perfection. The service was very professional and friendly. It's a pretty big place with mostly booths but plenty of tables. The prices are very reasonable and there's plenty to choose from on the menu.

When i went there, there were a lot of people (and why so little reviews, im not sure), and it had pretty good food. I ordered beef, chicken and shrimp. Shrimp was meh, but beef and chicken was really good. as the traffic jam in miami is horrible, this place being only 2 miles away (and it still took us over 10 minutes to get there) it was pretty close to good central american food as what we can have in miami downtown, so i was happy.

If I could give this place 100 Stars that wouldn't be enough! I will be honest, I only tried them because they are set up on my AA miles list and I earn miles for eating there. From the outside it looks small and like a smoothie bar type of operation. WRONG! Once you get in the door you see that they take pride in their establishment. It is decorated very well and is very spacious. The staff are extremely courteous and take care of your every dinning wish. Now to the food... It is SUPERB! The fried yucca is the best I've had, the steaks are great and the whole experience eating there was wonderful. If you read my reviews, you will see that I am not one to give out a 5 star easily but this place deserves them and more. I have been there twice and plan on making them a monthly if not weekly stop. Lunch is great and so is dinner. The only downside to them is that parking in front is not usually available but, after that great meal you will want to walk off some of the weight anyway because you will be stuffed. I forgot to say that the portions are large too. Try it for yourself and you will be a fan as I am.

We went here a few weeks ago on a Friday night. The food was excellent. The service was on point. We arrived during their happy hour, nice surprise $3 glasses of wine, with a very heavy pour. The steak was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. This restaurant has it all we will definitely be back. It is close to Sergios which I have been to several times before Charcoals had opened. I can't think of any reason to go back to sergios with Charcoals so close and so much better in quality and price.

One word: STEAK! These guys are pros at steak, they have a delectable menu similar to classic Nicaraguan restaurants like El Novillo and Los Ranchos but much less expensive. Great happy hour specials ($3 wines). Churrasco, chimichurri, whole fried fish, rice, gallo pinto, tostones with fried cheese, spicy onions (I love spicy) and the "bestest" crunchiest sweet potato fries I've ever had! I don't have much of a sweet tooth and always skip dessert but the Pio Quinto dessert was so sweet and tasty. Really good food guys, two thumbs up. The Manager will be quick to point out that it is not a Nicaraguan Restaurant but a Western one. It doesn't matter, its delicious and reasonable and the service is awesome! Jocelyn, our waitress is very helpful and friendly, I have quickly become a regular here.

We are glad we yelped to find a nice dinner spot tonight! Charcoal's was wonderful! The churasco and fish combo was delicious, as was the mixed fajitas. You should skip the salsa and chips as an appetizer, though, since it is a few chips in a plastic shallow container with a tiny plastic to-go container of salsa. That disappointment was quickly forgotten when the meals came out, and all the meat was done perfectly, with the fish just melt in the mouth fresh and tender. Same with the churasco, just fantastic.

Omg..the food was soooo good. I ordered online on New year's day. My husband went to pick up the food and everything was ready for pick up minus the dessert I ordered. They ran out of tres leches so for the inconvenience they gave me a free dessert..very thoughtful. The food was cooked to perfection..in all honesty..way better than Sergios around the corner. Went there last week and we had an amazing experience . We happened to be there for happy hour on a week day and all our drinks (husband had wine and I had sangria) were only $3 each!!! The sangria is homemade and frankly the best sangria I ever had in a restaurant (for my personal homemade sangria is still better for I used fresh fruits ... Lol) . For appetizer we had a fried cheese which was quite yummy. For dinner I had the Churrasco with Shrimp which I loved and ended taking 1/3 of it home (for it was too much food for me) and my husband had the Rib Eye steak which was juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. Finally but not least, for dessert we shared a "Pio Quinto" which is a custard dessert with rum cake. Loved it so much that I took an extra dessert home! Service was superb and very friendly (our waiter was a Chinese guy who was very funny, friendly and gracious) and the place is decorated in a nice and cozy manner. Bathroom was super clean and smelled nice (which is always a big plus for me). Will definitely be back with friends and family!
