Best duck I've ever had! I've been coming here since Clinton was in office...so clearly it's pretty awesome. If you're looking for traditional and authentic chinese food without having to pay 40% more for some dim lighting and fancy plates, come to Changs. If you're looking for the dim lighting and a much "sexier" atmosphere, go to Tropical Chinese (The food taste exactly the same) I went to tropical chinese and the owners are great friends with each other! By the way if you're wondering about other plates besides the duck, you MUST EAT THE HOT POTS! The hot pots are as awesome as Chuck Norris! But the Long Island Duck is like Bruce Lee in return of the dragon...whooping on Chuck Norris! Either way, you win!

We were there for lunch. Good food, good service, good price. Very fresh ingredients, the veggies, fried rice and chicken were great. We had chow mein and Szechuan chicken, both were good. In it's genre, I would have given 5 stars, but the restaurant smelled of bleach from the morning's cleaning. Definitely nothing fancy about the place, but the important thing - the food - was great!!!

I didn't have the great experience I was expecting here. After seeing such excellent reviews, I had to try Chang's and its right down the street from me so I had no excuse. I sat down and the server brought us menus and didn't come back for a while. I wasn't sure what to get and didn't want the honey chicken or fried rice type dishes so I wanted to ask for recommendations. She finally came around but didn't really understand what I was asking for. I ended up with a chicken and mushroom dish (sorry don't remember the name) that tasted great but I just felt like she only came by to see if I was done eating so she could take my plate and be done with me. I definitely want to come back for a hot pot but I just felt very unwelcome.

Admittedly I just picked up some basic honey chicken, fried rice and spring rolls but I was under impressed by all of the above. Minimal veggies in the rice. It's not bad but it is nothing spectacular either. There was a decent little line of people to pick up as well so I assume they do something right. The to-go box they gave me also leaked honey chicken sauce all over my car seat. =(

Five stars among Chinese restaurants in Miami. This place is very easy to miss. It's on the SW corner of 107th Ave and Coral Way. It's a stand alone building with its little parking lot, which gets full easily and is hard to maneuver in or out. However, seems like you can park in the bigger plaza next door without fear of getting your car towed. The entrance is somewhat shady but inside is bright and clean enough. We love this place as it opens late and is one of the handful of authentic Chinese restaurants in Miami. They have authentic dishes beyond the Chinese American fare on the menu and also some specials written on a board on the wall, including adventurous stuff like fried pig intestine (crunchy and chewy sections that are dipped into a sweet and sour sauce), stir-fried whelks, duck feet and duck tongue (2 inch long soft, moist delicacy with bones in it). Haven't had any dishes we don't like at Chang's. There was a pepper chicken we couldn't handle the heat but kept reaching for more. Our absolute favorite is the SALT AND PEPPER TOFU, the best tofu dish in the world and something we always order! I don't know where they get their tofu, it's so tender and smooth, and w the crispy skin and lots of spices it's so out-of-this-world. Service, like all Chinese places - not including Hakkasan or PF Chang - is brisk, friendly but not exactly warm and cheery. (In fact the image of going into a Chinese place and have the waitress greet you, hi I am Jade I am your server tonight, feels WEIRD). But they do make up for with the excellent dishes they bring you.

Nice little Cantonese place next to some college, FIU or UM or something. Best salt and pepper fried tofu ive ever had!!! Lots of Chinese people eating. The salt and pepper tofu served with little chili peppers (there might be sichuan peppercorns too), the contrast of the crispy crunchy outer exterior and the creamy soft tofu interior, and the spicy chilies(!) makes for a magical flavor and texture sensation!! Great with some white rice. Im sure anything "salt and pepper" here is good, but i just love s&p tofu!! (And don't think table salt and black pepper, this is something quite more).

Yet again back in South Florida, and got the sudden urge for Chinese food, and of all places it was in Miami near the fairgrounds. After a quick search on Yelp because this side of Dade I was not too familiar with, Changs was right around the corner from the fairgrounds. Parking is extremely limited and the place is small. After my last review of Thai in Tamarac and how disappointed I was with the food opposite reviewers on here, I was skeptical considering Cuban food is only thing I will take advice on in South Florida. The food was excellent! I ad a hot and sour soup, with my main course as sichuan chicken extra spicy. It was completely divine and fulfilled my Chinese food craving. I will most certainly be back! The price was cheap too!

I do love the food here and so I decided my love of Beef on a Stick was going to overpower my debate against ordering from here again. So I did. I called, kept a perfectly positive tone and demeanor and politely placed my order. It was simply Beef on a Stick and Honey Garlic Chicken. I don't have an accent, I speak clearly. I don't mumble and I repeat my order multiple times. The woman on the phone corrected me when I said Beef on a Stick and said Steak on a Stick. Or at least that is what it sounded like to me. She even asked me how would I like my steak done. Which I thought was odd and said medium well, but It's beef on a stick isn't it always medium to well done? She laughed and said ah yeah. I was happy to get my order in and that she seemed to understand me after I gave her my info over the phone. I had to repeat a few things because she didn't completely understand or hear me. So no big deal. My order arrives a bit late and I see the charge--which should be roughly $15-20 bucks. She hadn't stated the total for the cost or how long it would arrive and I was distracted by my kids and forgot to ask. I'm used to getting the same items from other places it's never over $20 for just two of these orders. They charged me $40. I asked the driver and he had no idea what any of it was or what it cost. Because the poor dude is just a driver. But I would hope at some point even the drivers know what the hell they are delivering, what it is, who it belongs to, and possibly even what it costs. That would be asking too much of someone with any kind of customer contact apparently. The young man was baffled but apologetic. I told him, it's ok, I think they must have given me double of the larger versions of the small portion orders I asked for. I than sat down and opened it all up and had no clue what was in one of the cartons. I called and asked what it was, she got frustrated with me and began to speak in her own language, I'm not fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese aside from a few pleasantries. She put on someone else and they began to tell me I ordered what I got. I told her very clearly...NO. I ordered Beef on a Stick and Honey Garlic chicken. Pretty much the same thing I always order at any Chinese Take-Out. She told me to keep the other order, which I still didn't know what it was and that she would refund the difference. I told her I hadn't touched it and she can have it picked up, I just want my beef on a stick, She then told me she'd have my order delivered and she would refund the difference and to keep the other order. I said fine as long as I would get my Honey Garlic Chicken delivered I would give whatever this order was to my brother. She called me back and put me on with another woman whose accent and grasp of english seemed far weaker. This woman told me I wouldn't be getting my order because they are really busy and their driver is not yet back. That they are not going to deliver the correct order. I told her that made no sense. What if I was a new customer calling and placing an order, would they just tell me no? She then put on someone else while she went off on a rant in Chinese, likely telling me to fuck in her own language. This woman told me she would send the order but I would have to wait for a long time because they are really busy. So I again stated why am I going to wait behind other orders when they are the ones who made the mistake. She then tried to convince me to keep whatever it was I had since I was already charged. I told her, I will wait. Just send me my proper order and they can take back the wrong one. She told me to keep it. But I would have to wait and I would get refunded the difference. The young man came back, delivered my Beef on a Stick and then told me they had to charge me for the beef on the stick...I said What! I told him I would call his boss and I asked if there was someone there that spoke English normally. He said no the owner is the one who usually answers the phone. He than asked if I can make the call with him there so they don't get mad at him. The original person that took the order told me I would have to pay for this new order of beef on a stick and they were not refunding the other order. I told her I am not giving them my card at all, that they keep changing their story and I haven't a clue what she was expecting of me at this moment. I stated very clearly you are not allowed to charge my card again. I told her I was done ordering from them...I will never order there again and that their delivery man was to leave immediately. I ended up getting charged for something I didn't order, nearly $40 for a simple order that normally costs me $15 bucks. Horrible, horrible service.

Authentic Chinese Food in a tiny little shack of a restaurant I really do love the food here. It's pretty hidden away. (Located behind the Latin American Cafe on Coral Way and 107th). The outside doesn't look so nice, but the inside is pretty decorative for what it is. The service is always stellar and the owner is pretty nice too. The place is larger than you would think but still it is pretty small. They've got about 3 large tables and 6 smaller tables. Whenever I go with the family, we are usually treated with an authentic Cantonese menu. However, if you want another menu you can always ask for it. I believe they sell Americanized Chinese Food as well. We always start off with jellyfish salad, which sounds kind of odd, but it is a must for us. The texture can draw people away because it is a sort of savory gelatinous flavor, but I love it. The roast chicken here is good, but the roast duck is awesome. I love Chinese roasted duck and have never seen it done too bad at places like this. The skin on the outside is crisp while still having that little layer of fat on the meat. You have to eat the whole thing (not the bone, of course). The skin, fat, and meat together is something everyone must have at least once. The salt and pepper shrimp is great here. The shrimp is peeled and crisp on the outside. The shrimp are always done perfectly when we go. The chinese broccoli (not your normal broccoli, more similar to mustard greens than anything), is pretty standard. It can get a little greasy which is weird to have on vegetables. Overall, the meal was great. It was all pretty good. The worst thing about the place would probably be the parking. It's ridiculous how tiny and difficult it is to get in and out of that tiny little lot in front of the place. Even if you were able to fit you car in, you would have to worry about the countless terrible drivers and parkers in Miami (indefinite amount of them). But is the food worth it. I would say so.

Inside the restaurant is more spacious and cleaner than we expected from outside. We've tried mapo doufu, conch XO, and beef/vegi. Everything was delicious. Please note that the first half of the menu is American style and the second half is authentic Chinese.
