We had a really nice Friday night! Nice people, good service and excellent beer. We will go back for sure! Next time we'll eat there: we saw really yummy dishes. Easy but tasty! Karaoke was really good and the audio was balanced. Wide range of songs. I'll be back!!!

Have been meaning to come here for a while and glad I finally did. We went on a Sunday afternoon we were the only ones there. Service was great and good was amazing. Basically if your in the neighborhood (and even if your not) and want good authentic Jamaican food this is the place to go. By far the best Jamican food I've had. Beer was cold and the the rum punch delicious. Food was cooked to order and fresh.

Great atmosphere. Karaoke friday is the best. Some people sing like professionals though so I kept my happy ass sitting down. But its a great place to gather with friends and family for good food, music, and laughs. Its not too big but perfect for just a good hang out in kendall.

Nice little place tucked away north of the Tamiami airport. Just had their curry goat it was delicious. The red stripe beer was ice cold. Prompt service delicious food, I'll be back for sure. Can't wait to try some of the other dishes!!

Best Jamaican food hands down!!!! I suggest to get Jerk Pork rice n peas w plantains anyday when you go there. Friendly staff and affordable! Not really sports heavy but they do play the games but probably not serious about it. Go there for the food!

I had a great time celebrating a friend's birthday. We went on a Friday night, which is Karaoke night. They obviously have regulars who take full advantage of the karaoke experience, which is quite entertaining. It is loud in there and I'm now struggling with voice lost the next day. But I still had a great time and the food and drinks were descent. We will be returning!

Let me start by saying that the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I was expecting more of a sports bar feel to it. For example, I expected for the sound to be on during the (important) game - not music, and more of the vibe to be around the sports bar angle of their business. But as a restaurant/local hangout it's really a great little place. It's tucked away in Kendall, small but clean, the server was personable and attentive, they have pool tables, karaoke and it has a down home feel. The food was great! The pulled pork sandwich had a great smokey BBQ flavor, the jerk chicken wings had just the right amount of flavor and kick to them, and the oxtail with rice and beans was delicious! If you're in Kendall and want delicious island food, good drinks, great prices and not deal with overcrowded/over hyped places check this little place out.

I decided to give this place a try because they're very close to where I live and because of all the great reviews.. now all these people must've been drunk when they went to this place and thought it was amazing because, first off it was so freaking loud I couldn't even tell the girl what I wanted, I kept having to yell because it was the only way she'd be able to hear me. second, we only ordered ten wings, and it took them extremely long to bring them out, it took them so long we finished our pitcher before the wings came out. and the wings were bathed in this gross fake buffalo sauce, so unpleasant. third, we ordered a pitcher of beer, it was tiny, super over priced 13 bucks to be exact, and she didn't even bring ice to keep it cold. will not be coming back & don't recommend

Not sure what the hype is all about. Tasted the escovitch fish, oxtail, rice & peas, jerk wings, but nothing was very exciting. Service was good, it was also empty, so that was simple. I will not be returning. Dark and dreary atmosphere.

My favorite spot for a Friday night. I'm a karaoke nut, so it's perfect for me. The staff knows me by name. They are always friendly, warm, and pleasant. Great drink prices and a nice atmosphere. It gets loud and busy on Friday nights, so be prepared.

Hidden little place in Kendall, but great! The ambiance is very welcoming, slightly dark but in the cool kinda way. TVs are adequate with one pool table in the center. DJ music to accompany the vibe. The menu, very interesting. Jamaican style food with beer specials? I'm in! Price wise, it's a hit during happy hour. Will come again!

Without a doubt, this is a true gem. The jerk wings are the best example of jerk chicken I've ever had, including my several visits to Jamaica. The honey wings were a real treat as well. Something very special about their ranch dressing too. The Jamaican patty was exceptional. Just about as good as the ones I used to get at the five-star bakery in Palm Beach. The restaurant itself is clean, well laid out and I really appreciate the cutout allowing customers to peer into the kitchen, which is clean and very organized. I will definitely be back!

Here to pickup take out and check out happy hour. The place is dead. 4 people in the place and its 6 oclock:(. Music is good, place is small and friendly. Oh no the 4 people just left, I have the whole place to myself!!! The rum punch is strong and fruity. Heard about the place through yelp as a karaoke bar and after reading reviews, I saw that they serve Jamaican food and got good reviews. No karaoke today.The jerk chicken was really good. The oxtail could have been more tender, I've had better. The rice and peas were excellent.

My friends and I absolutely love cariflex. We flex on Fridays we flex on Saturdays there is always something going on during the weekends and Sunday's is greatttt . The evenings turns into club atmosphere. Eat drink watch the game and awesome Dj. The staff have became like family. They are great people and food is the bomb. Best Jamaican restaurant I've been too compare to the rest.

I was here recently for a Friday night karaoke & it was actually really fun! I wasn't drunk enough to sing in front of a live audience :-p but it was fun to watch people who can & who cannot sing. The food was delicious & fresh. I had the curry goat with rice & it was superb. The restaurant is small but very clean. The bar also has a great choice of mixed drinks :-) I usually have the takeout menu.

Excellent Jamaican food. I can't wait to come back for the wings. Totally unexpected find. Lots of TVs to watch the game, good beer, music and a pool table in the least expected place. Service was great. Restaurant was very clean.

Tucked behind some shops off the main street, this place is hidden so be sure to search. This is a great combination of Jamaican and sports bar, with authentic dishes at great prices. Also have some American food if you are not in to Jamaican food. We went on a Saturday day and it was empty, but we sat at the bar and got good service, they were very accommodating to our requests. Only have one pool table, which was why we went in the first place, but it was a nice table and only $1 per game. I was pleasantly surprised. Decent bathrooms too which is always a plus.

All I can say is OMG. I was finally able to talk a few of my very picky coworkers to try this place out for lunch. We were all happy that we went. This bar and grill is located in a business center across from Tamiami Airport and kind of hidden but what a find. They have an American menu and a Jamaican Menu. The american side has sandwhiches, wings, nachos and a couple of salads. The Jamaican side...jerk chicken Escovitch Fish, etc and they have different specials on the board. Today they had oxtail, curry chicken and a few others that I do not recall. I opted for the jerk pan chicken with festical and a side of rice and peas. It was THE best jerk chiken I have had in a while. The breast was so plump, juicy and tender and the jerk sauce was just right...eatten with the festival which was light, crispy and not greasy helped temper the heat. The rice and peas was really good as well and the portion was large. My co-workers had the Philly Cheesestake and the wings. They were both very happy with their meal. Cariflex has a happy hour (they are a wine and beer only joint) and Karaoke which I think is on Thursday nights at 8...not positive on the day so give them a call. I can't wait to try the other Jamaican dishes.

Amazing jerk chicken. I never thought id say it but way better quality than island restaurant in the area. And for whoever doesn't like Jamaican food there's an American menu. Believe me definitely a must eat

I was very impressed with the food. It tasted like real homemade Jamaican food that you would have at home. The oxtail was cooked perfectly, the rice and peas tasted homemade with the right amount of coconut and the plantains were cooked perfectly. I will definitely go back to try other menu items. This is a very hidden restaurant and I hope that they remain in business for this reason. I definitely recommend Cariflex for authentic Jamaican cuisine.

Love this place!!! We go here almost every Friday night for karaoke. It's a blast. The owners are amazing. The food is awesome and everything is very reasonably priced.

The food was delicious! We had the jerk chicken wings - WOW - I'll be back for those. Also you must have the roasted snapper! I have never had anything so delicious. I cant wait to go back again. The service was also delightful, quick, and helpful.
