I have eaten here twice this past week with very good results both times. I tried the palomilla steak and vaca frita, with the vaca frita being the winner. My wife had the boliche both times and said it was the best she had ever eaten. Meals come with two sides and they bring a basket of hot buttered sliced cuban bread while you wait for your order to arrive. We also split a piece of cheese flan for dessert which was also very good. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant and clean. The waitresses were very attentive and although they spoke very little english they try to be helpful and are very friendly.

The atmosphere is simple, nothing fancy just a regular criollo stile restaurant. I have not tried all of their dishes, but the few I have are well made. The place looks clean and the waitresses are very friendly. The other good thing is the cost. They are very good in prices and everything is at a very moderate price. Give it a try, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

My family orders from this place pretty frequently. It's fast and delicious. Honestly, I only ever eat the tronchos de pescado with tostones, black beans, and rice. But okay, I could eat this dish every day of my life. The fish is perfectly crispy outside and flavorful inside. The outside is a little bland, but that's because you have to add the juice of the lime slices that come with the dish. Once you add the lime, it's perfect. The black beans are great and make you forget your vow of not eating white carbs because how can you not add them to the steaming hot rice that comes with the meal. And like any other Hispanic native Miamian, I take tostones very seriously. This place meets my expectations. I imagine the other dishes are good because my family orders from here about once a month. I'll never know because I'll never stop ordering the tronchos de pescado with tostones, black beans, and rice.

This place is simply amazing! The service is quick and friendly, makes you feel like your family. There is usually never a wait to sit, so it's perfect when your really hungry. The quality of food is much better than places like Islas canarias or finka, and the prices are half of what the other places charge. I usually get the BLT sandwich or a Caesar salad. I highly recommend the mofongo here, they serve you a lot. The best in town! I have been here several times and will certainly be back for more!

Not too bad. For $5.29 (Before 11 AM, I think) you get eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, cafe con leche, and hash browns. It reminds me of a Latin America. I would come back here again.

OK, so this reveiw is based on various experiences at this restaurant - ive been here numerous times and also ordered delivery. The food is good.. really no complaints - very standard cuban fare and everything is done well. The service in house can vary but its usually decent - never really poor or outstanding. Its on par with a place like Islas Canarias. I wouldnt go out of my way to go there - but its close to the house and priced right. So, if you are in the area, give it a try. Plenty of seating inside so there is NEVER a wait for a table. Also a good thing if you need to stop in for a quick bite.

4 star. Best when it comes to their grilled shredded beef or the Vaca Frita. THe beef was cook into perfection, the meat was soft and delicious. Cooked to be loved by the customers, Love how they cooked it. The carne asada here was also good. But i find the roasted meat hard to chew, but it taste good. I think they need to focus on how to make the meat soft next time. For us customers to love their Carne asad. Their restaurant has a good place, not hard to find and the dining area was perfect. The staff was very good on handling customers.

When I'm in the mood for comfort food, I recommend this place. Situated in West Miami-Dade near another famous restaurant (the name rhymes with Islas Canarias), it is one of the area's hidden bargains. The food isn't expensive and the portions are oversized. Daily specials are advertised prominetly in the menu with something different everyday. The wait staff makes sure you're satisfied with your choices and the managers circulate often to ensure everyone is happy with their meals. I recommend the "Fufu de Platano" (mashed plantains) served with a side of chicken consome and a choice of pork, or shrimp... Presented in a large wooden garlic masher (i don't know what else to call it) it makes a great side for your meal. Another perk of this place is that they deliver to both homes and businesses in the area as well as to FIU. Now the not so good - Service may take a while longer during their busy times, and they have run out of their specials (has happened to me more than once). Some of their waitresses don't speak english, and may need help translating for their non-hispanic clientele. If you're in the area and are in the mood for a no-frills experience, this may be your ticket. Enjoy!

Caribe is quickly becoming one of my favorite Cuban/Latin restaurants in west kendall. The staff is nice, food comes out quick and most importantly the good is good!!! Prices are reasonable and serving size is just write!!!

Fast service, good food, from carne asada to mofongo!!! All counties are represented in this place. Friendly staff, treat you like family!

The food here is great - the service is slow. They make a fabulous mofongo and their vaca frita is to die for. The food is cheap and delicious. Many people order the food for pick up and I am likely to do that next time. It's a shame that the service is so terribly slow.

Went and picked up dinner on a Sunday night at 9:30. I was recommended by someone I trust and my expectations, although not high, I have to say weren't low either. I saw another review comparing them to Islas canarias which is my favorite cuban restaurant and thought, I'm on a budget so why not? Folks, long story short the palomilla was dry, hard, and tough to chew. Everything it shouldn't be. So dissapointing. However, if looking for a cheap breakfast that delivers and you live in the area they aren't bad.

Great Service and Food for not alot of moolah. Not much to look at from the outside, but you will not be disappointed. At a time when all other restaurants are starting to change their menu to cater to more South American styles of cuisine, this is a great return to simple, authentic Caribbean cuisine done right. Noise level is average for a Cuban restaurant :) so keep that in mind.
