I've visited Brio on multiple occasions.... I'm a particular fan of their beef carpaccio and their Sunday brunch but it was a recent visit that caused me to write this review. My hubby and I decided to pop into Brio after an evening of shopping. The restaurant wasn't full so we thought we would be able to grab a quick bite and head out. Wrong... our meal took approximately 45 minutes to come of the kitchen. Our waiter, while he made excellent recommendations and was attentive at first, seemed to disappear the longer the food took. When our food finally arrived, it was delicious as always so we chalked up the wait to the kitchen being backed up and dug into our meal. The table next to us had the same complaint (among other issues) and asked to speak with the manager. After deftly handling the table next to us, she paid a visit to our table and asked us how everything was... my hubby quickly commented, "I didn't know pasta took 45 minutes to cook." (Now let me interject here and say that he was in no way attempting to be rude, he was simply making an observation. And was actually delighted with the waiters entree recommendation.) We didn't ask for the manager to come over or for even what happened next... The manager quickly apologized for the situation and returned moments later with our bill... a grand total of $0. She apologized again and let us know that the meal was on her! You can't ask for that kind of service even when you have a more serious issue than we did. My hubby and I would have gladly paid for our meal as it was delicious. The fact that the manager went above and beyond to make the situation right is what will keep me coming back to Brio over and over again... Kudos to them for their excellent customer service skills.

After having driven about 35 minutes to this restaurant, I was disappointed to see that the BBQ flatbread pizza was taken off the menu. I spoke with one of the main chefs and was told that other customers, along with himself, had complained about this and that an email will be sent to the restaurant manager to put it back on the menu. This is a great restaurant but taking a favorite food item off the menu was a very poor decision. In the future, I hope to see the BBQ flatbread pizza back on the menu.

It was my best friends birthday and she decide to have her bday brunch at Brio. I'm so glad she did, because everything was great! Since, it was a total of 32 people in our party, she had to call and RSVP. She picked a menu for us and I believe it was $20 something per person. The menu had " Happy Birthday Daphne", which was a nice little detail. The service was on point and I was impressed since we were a big group. Now, to the best part of the brunch, those FRENCH TOAST are to die for.. I can't even describe in words of how delicious they are. That cream cheese that they added was exactly what french toast was missing. I don't think i'm ever going to eat another french toast if its not from here.

There are two types of Italian food/restaurants. "Authentic" Italian And "American" Italian. This place is authentic Italian, not a bunch of pasta under a bunch a red sauce. Our tables favorite was the lamb chops I ordered. Cooked perfectly seasoned well. Another highlight was the bruschetta sampler. Really a great appetizer for a bunch of people. The shrimp dish my mother ordered was delicious but too spicy for her.

The Orlando location is sub-par, but this one is really good! I've been here a handful of times now and each time I'm surprised how much I like it (because I very much disliked the food at the Orlando winter park location). I now have a favorite here, and my mouth is watering just thinking about it.. The Brio steak salad. It's delicious! The lunch portion is perfect in size and super tasty. I didn't leave a single leaf on the plate, and neither did the other 2 I was with that ordered the same thing.. and it's not because it was too small, it was perfect! They have a huge selection.. I'm not a fan of going to a restaurant and having to choose between just a few things, because I'm pretty picky.. So this place is great for me :) Tons of options, any time of day. Good drink selection too.

My 4 star rating is not comparing this place to a super high end restaurant with James Beard awards but for the price point, location, decor, staff, attentiveness, friendliness and of course tastiness this place gets 4 stars from me. This is my second time coming here and I'm very glad we decided to come back. We sat outside for Easter Sunday dinner and despite the place being a nice restaurant it's very kid friendly. All of the staff were really welcoming and our server was super knowledgable and nice. He made an excellent recommendation of the lobster & shrimp ravioli since I love spicy food. My BFs shrimp & lobster fettuccine was delicious and my son almost ate his entire plate of ravioli. We also ordered the steak bruschetta which was very tasty. We ordered tiramisu for dessert and it took a while to get to us. However, without even having to flag down our server the manager came over and apologized for the delay & comp'd our dessert Which was Nom nomz. Very pleased with our entire dining experience. Good food, great atmosphere, pleasant staff and overall great time. We will definitely be back.

I've been to Brio a handful of times. One time I went the food was so bad none of us would eat it. Recently my Mom said the food improved and has been asking me to go back. On a Thursday night I was feeling adventurous so I went to meet my Mom and grandparents at Brio. When the waiter, Jason, realized that I had arrived with my two-year-old daughter, just one or two minutes later, he showed at our table with a high chair and a cup with lid for her. He got her in good spirits so he was off to a good start with me at least. My Mom had already ordered a pitcher of some type of cocktail, so I asked for a glass so that I could try it. Meanwhile, I tried the spinach dip which is very cheesy but one of the worst I've had at chain restaurants and it comes with some crispy cracker things that aren't very good. Jason brought me a glass but unfortunately it had lipstick stains on it so I wasn't willing to use it. I ordered a Caprese salad for my meal. When it arrived I opened a new napkin with silverware to find that one of the forks had food crusted on it. Twice in one night with dirty dishes means to me that someone isn't cleaning them well. As for the Caprese salad, it was good and tasted fresh. There were fresh salad leaves on top too. For my daughter I ordered the chicken finger kids' meal. It came with French fries and a cup of fruit. The chicken fingers were heavily breaded with a cakey batter so I wouldn't order those again. The fries similarly were not very appealing. I thought it was great that the fruit salad came with grapes already cut in halves to avoid choking. It also had blueberries and pineapple but she didn't like the pineapple so she set it aside. After the meal, having seen that my daughter likes Frozen, he bought his phone to show her photos of drawings he had done of the characters. They were great drawings and he did a great job helping to keep my daughter at the table a few extra minutes that way. Basically, in my recent experience the food was better than previous times I've been there and the service from Jason was excellent. Unfortunately, the silverware and glassware is dirty and I've had some other experiences where the food wasn't even edible, so maybe it isn't consistent or maybe it is under new management but hopefully it continues to improve like my most recent experience. By the way, Jason told us that he's expecting a new baby boy any day now. If you go to Brio, ask for him and tell him congratulations!

Brio is a great Italian restaurant with a very extensive menu. Anything and everything you can think of they have on their menu.. from pasta to salads to healthy grilled options (which I love). They also had multiple types of bruschetta to chose from. We chose the bacon with fig jam... such a good choice! It was both sweet and salty with a little spiciness as well. I chose the grilled chicken for my entree (one of the healthy options) which was delicious. It came with quinoa, roasted peppers, and a pesto vinaigrette. They also had no problems with us splitting our entrees. The service was spectacular! Everyone from our hostess to our waiter to the manager himself who came by and introduced himself provided 5 star service and attention to our table. If you like Pinot Grigio, their house bottle is FANTASTIC! Also the bread plate they bring is very good as well. I wish this restaurant were closer to my house!

Brio has always been a good place to indulge in some yummy food. Their variety of Pastas and salads is always good and the quality very satisfying. We decided to have a nice dinner with the wife and she chose Brio as our night destination. I ordered pasta with vegetables, the mushroom cream and we both shared a calamari appetizer. Overall a good and quick experience. The food was fresh, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasing. They give you some bread while you wait for your food coma which is actually really good. Definitely a place to go have a nice meal.

Definitely didn't live up to my expectations. My parents dined here before and my dad chose this as the place for his bday dinner but it definitely missed the marked. The service was fantastic. The stars are definitely for the waiters and staff because they were so pleasant and on top of things. We ordered the wedding soup and lobster bisque and they were ok; nothing out of the ordinary. The romaine lettuce in my Ceasar salad was dry and already turning brown. The pasta brio was not flavorful at all. I do appreciate that they have a gluten free menu but it's very limited.

When you walk in to BRIO you walk in to a beautifully decorated restaurant and bar setting with draping curtains and large chandeliers - it really looks much fancier than it is, so don't be intimidated! My co-workers and I have been to the happy hour here several times and it has always been a good experience. The most recent time we shared the Eggplant Fries, Beef Carpaccio, Roasted Garlic, Spinach and Artchoke Dip and the Tomato Margherita Flatbread. Overall, the plates were good, but nothing out of this world. The Eggplant Fries were a bit soggy (even for eggplant), but the Dip was really quite good and made up for it. Happy Hour gets pretty packed and at one point we had to wait 15 minutes for a Neat Bourbon, which is a bit ridiculous considering it takes no preparation. The staff was, however, very friendly and the overall experience (and prices) were good enough to come back. If you need an inexpensive, casual happy hour spot, before or after some shopping at the Falls, Brio is a good choice. PS: I realized I have also had a real entree here in the past, the Pasta Fra Diavolo was very good! Ask for. It Extremely spicy!

Came here for a relaxing lunch. I sat outside becuase it was a beautiful day. I ordered a glass of wine and they brought out their bread basket that had house made crackers of some sort and the sour dough bread was nice and warm. I opted for the grilled chicken and quinoa salad with a herb dressing. It was under their light menu. The presentation was very nice. Two pieces of grilled chicken breast which was seasoned well and not dry over asparagus which was cooked perfectly. Had a nice crunch to them. Under that was some arugula and under that was the quinoa with garbanzo beans. The dressing was really good. Had a nice balance of flavors. This is a dish I would get again. It was light in calories but packed with flavors.

I've come on both Happy Hour on Fridays and lunch specials during the week. The service is great, everything is very clean, and food is pretty good at a good price. I've tried several items on the menu and I would HIGLY recommend the Black Pepper Shrimp.

Great place and great food! I come for the beef carpaccio Highly recommended! The lobster bisque is also a must! However, EXTREMELY SLOW service! Seems like they were short-staffed on a Saturday Night! (And it wasn't even THAT packed)

Brio is a great restaurant with great tasting food I had the blackened Mahi Mahi with grilled veggies topped with a citrus pesto sauce that was to die for. My wife had the shrimp and lobster ravioli amazing as well. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We will return

Arrived at the restaurant around 9:30am on Mother's Day Sunday. We did not have a reservation as I'm recovering for surgery and where not sure I would be leaving the house at all for Mother's Day. They said they could seat is after 10am when they had taken care of their reservation sitting. They had a pre defined area for walk ins which was nice. As always the service on a day like these suffers. The server was nice and as attentive as possible when she was double set a 12 top and us. Their ham and biscuit Benedict was good but my biscuit was burnt black around the edges. The best part was probably the picture booth people they hired for Mother's Day!

On one of my frugal searches I found out that Brio Tuscan Grille has a rewards program via app. When the free app is downloaded, individuals get $10 off an appetizer and $15 off a entree during their birthday month. It was my boyfriend's birthday so we downloaded the app and decided to make a date of it. We had no idea what the restaurant was like and we showed up in workout clothes. I felt severely under-dressed standing next to all the girls in their sun dresses. The hostess greeted us nicely and asked if we wanted to sit outside or wait ten minutes, we decided to wait. The decor reminded me a lot of the Cheesecake Factory. We were immediately brought out bread and these tasty olive oil (?) crackers/chips. We tried the calamari and it was delicious! Their homemade red sauce was exquisite. They also had a very good white sauce. They were generous about refilling sauces and breads, at no additional cost. I had the Chicken Milanesa which was great. My boyfriend has the Pasta Brio which he really enjoyed. When the bill came, we were almost positive they wouldn't accept both coupons but we tried anyway. The waitress came back with the -$15 and a delicious dessert. She said, "we were unable to use both discounts so we used the larger one and here's a free desert to make up for that". We had a great time and found the food to be delicious.

After a long day shopping at The Falls, my Wife and I decided to have a lunch date at Brio. The food was delicious and there was something on the menu for all palates. My wife and I are Vegan so we started with the Margherita Flatbread. It was crispy and the basil really gave it that earthy taste. Ravioli Di Bello was perfect. The cremini mushrooms paired with a light champagne brown butter sauce really hit the mark. Service was amazing. Jennifer and Jeff made sure my wife and I always had bread on the table and kept our glasses full. Great service guys. Will be coming back for seconds soon.

Finally tried this place ...... I liked it. Staff was friendly and attentive. Someone always opened the door for customers when they saw them arriving, which i think is quite a nice touch especially for a chain restaurant. They begin their customer service right away, since you step in the door. I like the decor of the restaurant it is a mix between fine & casual dining. I particularly like the white drapes that hang on the ceiling...a nice elegant touch. Now on to the food. I tried their mushroom pasta which was recommended to meby the waiter & it was excellent. It is one of the best mushroom ravioli I have tried. I like that there were mushrooms inside the pasta and some outside the dish as well. The seasoning was perfect. I enjoyed this dish so much. I also tried the lasagna. The lasagna was fine, nothing out of the ordinary but still good and satisfying. I think this is a good addition to the Falls shopping center. It has a nice presence and I am glad there is an option for Italian food in the mall. It is a nice spot for lunch & dinner. I saw on their menu they serve breakfast & Sunday brunch. I would love to try their breakfast.

As soon as we walked in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon we were greeted by two girls at the hostess stand looking a little lost... as if it were both of their first days on the job. They told us there was a 45 minute wait even though there were at least a dozen empty tables inside and several available outside. They explained that the tables were for the people outside waiting. It made absolutely no sense at all. We walked by them since they really seemed to be out of it and took a table at the bar area. The service was fine. A lot of waiting for waters to be refilled, but it was fine overall. The restaurant itself is beautiful and there's the option of sitting outside, but the view is of the parking lot. Lunch was ok. The chicken pesto pasta dish I had was the most ok lunch I've had in a while. Not special or memorable in the least. My husband had the Mediterranean shrimp and that was amazingly delicious. I was so jealous of his meal. Everything about it was so delicious. The shrimp, the orzo, the broccoli...it was all delicious. Of all the dining options at The Falls, this is probably your best bet if you're looking for a decent meal and not just hamburgers and french fries.

I had the steak medallions with black pepper shrimp from the prefixed menu and the meal was delicious. The plate comes with mashed potatoes that have a pepper flavor, like the shrimp. The veggies were moist and steam cooked. They had a sauce on them. The veggies were placed on top of the potatoes, so the potatoes had an extra "umph" of flavor. Everyone in my party was also happy with their meal. I will definitely be back! Can't wait to try one of the pasta dishes (which were big portions).

Today I went to Brio for lunch and had a pleasant time! Although it was a quick visit, I enjoyed it very much. I started off with the beef carpaccio on the light menu. Although it is a smaller portion than the carpaccio on the regular menu, it was still huge! It was delicious. I ordered the chicken piccata which was delicious and took the rest home. The food was great and extremely reasonably priced. The best part of my experience was the service. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and sat by what looked like the manager. She was very sweet and gave me a nice table outside. My servers name was Raul. Raul was on his A game. He immediately made me feel like he would be taking really good care of me. And he did! He was so sweet and had a great attitude. He offered many options for my dish and made sure it was just how I liked it! Next time I go I will specifically ask for Raul! He was a pleasure to be served by.

Average pasta but very nice environment. Servers are nice but they can be pretty busy so you might have to wait a little longer. I wouldn't go back because the food is very average. One more thing, it's pretty cheap. Good for a cheap date night!!

Worst service I've had in years. We sat for fifteen minutes before we flag a waitress down. The then got my drink order wrong three times (Glen live and Club soda. How complicated is that?!). After waiting for another ten minutes for someone to take our order a waiter shows up, takes our kid's orders, and when my wife asked for the specials, off he went. Another ten minutes go by and he returns and takes our orders. We never were served water. We had to ask for utensils because they never brought any, we had to ask for my child's ketchup twice Ater all that how did they make it good? You guessed it, by not offering any consession whatsoever. Unbelievable.

This restaurant is amazing! Down to the appearance; its a beautiful restaurant for starters. I will say the service was amazing! We had reservations and we were a bit early we waited only 5 minutes. Very happy since we've never been we were able to look around. Our waiter was great, he talked extremely fast but he was on point so we didn't mind it. He was polite so it helped. I ordered the Lamb chops and although the crusting flavoring was overbearing once I shaved it off I was able to really taste the meat and it was fantastic! My girlfriend ordered the Chicken pomadoro and it was amazingly fresh! I've never tasted pasta that tasted like it! Every ingredient used to put make that explodes in your mouth with freshness & flavor. The dessert we ordered was like a small delicate molten cake so to spoke. It taste completely from scratch. Definitely coming back!

Took company visiting from S America and it was a very nice quiet evening last nite. There was a .30 minute wait, but none for the few tables between the Bar and the Main Dining room, we opted for inmediate seating and the waiter, very attentive was with us within seconds. No noise, considering that they had outside a live singer/entertainer and some of the music filtered in. All 4 of us had different dishes and we all enjoyed them, leaving our plates extra clean by the time we were done. I personally love spicy food and the Pasta Fra Diabolo was magnificent. Prices very reasonable for the service, the quality of the food and the ambiance of the establishment, which I highly recommend !!

  • Hilary P.

The food is good, but the noise level is incredibly high. Everywhere in this restaurant, it is cacafonous. It is so noisy it is hard to hear the person next to you. The Brio in Pembroke Pines for some reason does not have all these acoustical problems. ..

If your looking for a restaurant that takes forever to pay any sort of attention to you, serves alcoholic drinks WITHOUT the alcohol, serves pasta dishes cold, if you're just looking for an overall horrible dinner , come to this place. This is the place for you. Won't be coming back.

This was a total surprise. We came at a friends suggestion. The menu had so many options. I had to ask our waiter, Raymond, to recommend something. He said hus favorite was the potabello pasta dish. It was excellent, rhen he recommend a desert, the mascarpone flan. It was divine. I'll be back!

Based on my recent experience at Brio, they only deserve 2 stars for "Meh, I've experienced better". When coming here to The Falls to meet a friend who lives in this area for dinner, I was kind of reminded of Pembroke Pines in some ways, where many local residents go to the mall or strip malls to eat at chain restaurants on weekend evenings, because that's really all they have for the most part. We arrived here at around 8 p.m. on a Saturday night and were told that it would be a 45-50 minute wait. We decided to have a seat at the bar, watch football on their flat screens and have a drink until we were called. About 45 minutes later, our buzzer went off and we were seated. The menu here is not terribly extensive; You're given an 8 1/2" x 14" card which has their food menu on one side and their drinks on the other. That's all of their offerings - a single sheet. IMO their selection is limited when compared to the handful of other similarly themed restaurants in S. Florida. Our server was very friendly and outgoing, the breads with butter that they provided when taking our orders were good, but nothing extraordinary. I ordered the Filetto Di Romano which is a small 5oz steak placed on a Romano encrusted tomato slice and served with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. I thought the vegetables were quite good and flavorful, but the Romano tomato, the filet and the mashed potatoes were basically tasteless and completely lacking in flavor. I was really disappointed in the food overall, especially considering the price point. I tried one of my friends' pork chops and they did have more flavor than my filet. For my steak, his pork chops and a glass of wine, our total came to $53 before gratuity. Not worth it considering the small size of the portions and lack of flavor, not to mention the 45 minute wait for a table.

Food never tastes fresh. The restaurant is no different than any other chain restaurant. Service is hit or miss. In light of this, the food should be cheap, but it is not. There are so many better Italian restaurants nearby and better restaurants at the Falls Mall, that there is never a reason to eat here.

I will say that what is so important to me in life is enjoying a wonderful meal. But more importantly is the company you have while enjoying that meal. Sometimes you venture out to a restaurant in the hopes of receiving pleasure or contentment to the senses . Only to be let down That said we chose this restaurant because of the convenient location. At 7 o'clock on a Friday night it wasn't crowded at all and we were seated quickly which is a plus when u have 2 starving children. It wasn't difficult to seat a party of 7. The food was so so. Honestly , I could of had the same quality pasta dish from the frozen food section at publix. It's upsetting to me to pay for food that's considered fresh that tastes like it came out of box. Then top that off with the slow service and it's a recipe for disaster There was no pleasure to my experience except the company I was surrounded by. The food was less than average, service was poor and plates over priced. What saved the night was the wine. Left feeling hungry and unsatisfied with the meal, doubt I will be back

Full disclosure: I visited Brio for the first time after having won a gift certificate for a chef's table for 6 from a raffle. Being somewhat of a food snob, I was admittedly skeptical of just how tasty the food would be at a chain restaurant I had not previously heard of. Turns out, the experience very much exceeded the expectations of all 6 diners our table. Everything we tried was tasty, but the dishes that our group raved the most about were (1) perfectly marinated and grilled lamb chops, (2) uniquely citrusy shrimp angel hair pasta dish, (3) fried calamari appetizer -the best calamari that both my father and I have ever had, hands down, and (4) salmon with balsamic glaze - sweet potatoes worked well with this dish. It's been a while since I've voluntarily eaten at an Italian restaurant due in part to the heaviness of the food, but Brio offers lighter options so it is possible to walk, rather than roll, out after your meal. Of course, everything tastes better when it's free, but even setting that aside, the food was definitely worth returning for. Also, Executive Chef Rocky Fernandez was great -- he took the time to explain the dishes to us and was very attentive. I do nick one star due to service: hostesses weren't exactly on the ball (lack of communication between hostesses and rest of the staff, rounded us up like horses by shouting), our plates weren't changed so we ended up using the same small plates for the entire meal, and one diner at our table noticed that the water was set on the wrong side of the plate. Wait staff seems to need better training if Brio wants to reach that elusive five-star ranking.

I met a friend here for lunch based on her recommendation. She had heard great things about the restaurant and wanted to try it. The interior is a little cheesy but that is not important. What really matters is the food and the service, both of which were seriously below expectation. Instead of writing a detailed review of the negative qualities of this restaurant, I will just advise to go eat at another place. Or you might up end like me with a severely upset stomach.

This chain is consistent with their food presentation and quality, My daughter enjoys this restaurant so we stopped in for lunch while shopping at the Falls. We sat in the bar area and the bartender greeted us Immediarely. He was friendly, took our drink order and brought over a bread basket. Oh they have really great Foccacia bread, We enjoyed our lunch as my daughter had her favorite pasta dish and I had a grilled chicken and avocado sandwich with pesto. It was such a great sandwich with flavor a of seasoning on the chicken breast and the pesto was tasty that made gave it a perfect finish. . Warning it is large enough for two people. We had several glasses of wine. Our service was very good. The food is fresh, nice presentation with frendly service. If your in the area I suggest giving them a try.

This place used to be great for a quick lunch. The service and attentiveness has gone down terribly. We waited 15 minutes and walked out. A waiter never came to us. There were several waiters just standing around. The two tables on both sides of us got drinks and bread right away. Finally we got irritated and left. Won't be back.

Falcone was our waiter. Very nice and very patient. He was very courteous. The food was good and the size of the plates huge. We had a good time. We had carpaccio, beef filet, salmon salad.

Nice restaurant!! The food was delicious I had the pasta Brio and it was delicious my Fiancé had the pasta pesto from the lighter menu and it was a nice size and he said it was delicious and was light but filling. We had the carpaccio as an appetizer and it was FANTASTIC!! If you've never had carpaccio this is probably the best place to have for the first time, they serve it with a mixed green salad, it's actually pretty filling and BIG. You could share it and have a small dish as an entree. Would definitely go back! It's a bit on the pricey side but not crazy expensive, it's a good place for a nice date.

The lasagne with béchamel sauce is amazinggg. The cucumber vodka gimlet is deliciously refreshing. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating makes for breezy nighttime people watching. I normally prefer smaller local places over "chain" restaurants, but I have to say, I had a great experience and would love to go back and order the exact same thing.

This was our first time dining here. Our waiter was David at Table 61. The atmosphere was lovely and so was the decor. While we searched the menu we couldn't make up our minds, everything sounded delicious. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgable but he wasn't very hygienic. He was drenched in sweat and wiped his brow right at the table which was disturbing. Besides that, the wine list was up my alley. I would have chosen the Brunello but there was an interesting champagne I wanted to try. It wasn't what I expected and neither was our meal. I ordered the veal Milanese and it was a grease ball... I ate it but I couldn't finish my champagne because the greasiness of the food over powered taste and disrupted my palette. My wife had a great experience in the Broward location but this one was a bit disappointing.

The food deserves two stars but the service and hospitality of the greeting staff, the manager and my waiter pushes it up to a 3. The food was very salty and nothing to rave about. The bread was kind of hard. I ordered the salmon salad and it was heavy on the salt. My mom ordered the linguini campana and it was very tasty as well. This was the only food that deserved three stars. Not sure if I would come back.

Since the wait at samurai was over 1.5hr we came to brio... The good: the mushroom ravioli with chicken was amazing (& half off on Tuesday) the sourdough bread was awesome, as was the fonduta & the lobster bisque. The bad: service was slow, my husbands pesto pasta was subpar & the chocolate cake with ice cream was way too rich.

I went for lunch and had the strawberry pecan salad. I forget the exact name of it. It had gorgonzola, which I do not like, and they substituted goats cheese for me. The server was nice, but not that attentive. The food was very good. The atmosphere was also very nice. I would go here again.

I was pleasantly surprised when my husband and I recently dined at Tuscan Brio. The menu is inventive and healthy. The service is excellent including the fresh sour dough bread and savory seeded crackers served warm in a basket. And, when the food arrived, it did not disappoint. I had the Grilled Salmon Fresca and my husband had the Grilled Mahi Mahi. They were excellent: fresh and delicious. I would definitely return and recommend to others.

Ducked in with The Wolfe to meet a couple of fire babes. Nice place, here's why: * New * Clean * Efficient * Not as busy as the Brio at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, so no waiting for a table. That may also be because BJ's Brewhouse is next door (see my Yelp review) and that place is in the MIX. We didn't eat. Next time. It smelled fab. Great service from our bartender.

This is my go to place when I want to have a consistently good dinner without breaking the bank. The kids love it here to. Great menu, great prices. Service is hit or miss depending on the night. Love to go and sit outside on Sunday for a late brunch.

Our dishes were delish and so were our toddler mac-n-cheese. We had a great table and the staff was great at getting us what we needed. Going back for sure! You must try the pasta a la vodka. It was excellent!

Love my Brio's I'm having a garden salad yummy! First time at this location, the Quattro brochette was delicious so my husband said ..its his favorite. I on the other hand was not impressed with the food, it was dry not fresh at all so i did enjoy my salad instead not the best either. Having said all that atmosphere, service and wine was very good... sat in the patio and enjoyed the weather. I totally recommend this brio for appetizers and drinks only.

Although the prices are higher than what I'm use to paying at other places; you definitely get what you pay for !!! Great friendly service and the good was spectacular. You MUST try the Gorgonzola Dressed Bistecca ! Absolutely devine.

Don't know about the food because we never received it. I had to ask the sever to wipe down the table about 15 minutes into it. I saw this one lady looking around like see just lost her daughter. Finally I figured out she was looking for server so she could close out. She eventually got up with credit card in hand to search for server. That's when I knew I was in trouble. 75 mins into it a threw a $5 on the table for my diet coke and left. BJ 's next door is the place to go.

I have had Brio twice in the past week (my friend loves their salads). The food is barely average, and on both occasions, the service was extremely slow! On the first visit, they appeared busy and understaffed, so I decided to give the place a second chance. Today, there were only 5 parties on the patio (including us) and two servers, yet the service was still horrible. It took 25 mins to place an order. Took another 30 mins for the food to come out. The bread sat on our table for 15 minutes without side plates. I had to actually ask for plates. The servers are clueless! On the first visit, I had the Campanelle Carbonara. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. On the second visit, I had the Mezza Chicken Under The Brick. $14 for a bland and boring lunch sized entree with mashed potatoes that came from a box! The icing on the cake...the annoying pigeons! Save your money and go elsewhere! Samurai (across the street) is a much better option!

I always enjoy what I eat here. When I heard they opened at the falls and I wouldn't have to drive up to pembroke anymore I was very happy. We went today with my family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I had signed up to their newsletter which gave me an email for a free Quattro bruschetta appetizer (usually $15), the bruschetta's were delish, the ones I liked the most were the steak and the prosciutto with caramelized onions. Other appetizers we chose were the spicy shrimp and eggplant and the calamari. The spicy shrimp sauce was amazing, and the calamari was good too, it comes with some breaded and fried Italian green peppers which give the calamari a great mix of tastes. My mom ordered the lasagna and said it was as delicious as always, others chose the Gorgonzola lamb chops and the artichoke crusted beef medallions and they were also very happy with their food, the meats were cooked to the temperature they had chosen. I chose the Tuscan salad, it's chicken, Gorgonzola cheese, bacon, cranberries, and I substituted the almonds for candied pecans and asked to remove the mushrooms, it tasted as good as always. Our server was great, she asked if we were celebrating anything and since we mentioned our anniversaries she brought us some complimentary mini desserts with a candle which I though was really nice! The restaurant gets pretty packed, since we were a group of 7 we had made reservations but still had to wait about 15 minutes past it, so keep that in mind, they usually pass around some bites of their flatbreads as you wait so that makes waiting better :)

Been to several Brios, went here to catch some drinks and apps while the game was on. Bar wasn't crowded which was great. We walked right up and got seats...no greeting from the hostesses...had wine. Was ok. Food came out cold :(. Had to ask for waters. This place needs some work to get up to the brand standards in my opinion.

  • Tracey G.

Had dinner here last night. Food was delish, loved the pasta alla vodka! But do not order the $9.00 pomegranate martini, tasted like cough syrup. Carrabba's Pom martini is the best and hard to beat!

  • Romi C.

Whoa. Bland meets salty. Macaroni grill meets cheesecake factory. Sitting at the bar and giving the bartender the order yourself doesn't assure you'll get what you ordered. The crowd is aged like parmesean cheese. That's about as Italian as you get out of this "Tuscan Grill" This place has no reason to be as overpriced as it is. A very dry lunch portion of grilled chicken breast with a poorly made marsala sauce on the side and oversalted roasted vegetables for $15... no thankyou. Never again. This place should of stayed up north. I usually give places more than one chance but think one terrible meal was enough.

  • Michael H.

I was very dissapointed with brio. We came here because a good friend recommended it, but I can only assume she came during the lunch hour when it was less crowded. First off, the food came out WAY too slow. It took over an hour from the time we ordered for us to get it. This was on a Thursday night. When the food finally came, my pasta was cold and dry. I got the shrimp and lobster fettucine with cremini mushrooms. Lemme just say I had two small pieces of mushrooms! It was ridiculous. I expect there to be small amounts of lobster and shrimp, but barely any mushrooms? Come on! It was under salted and flavorless. My sister in law ordered the same dish with the shrimp on the side and they screwed up her order and put the lobster on the side instead of the shrimp. Since she is allergic to shrimp, you can imagine how bad this could have been. My wife ordered the flatbread chicken bbq pizza and it was nasty. The waitress told us the flatbread was soft and baked and it was the same crispy cracker like flatbread that they serve post appetizers. The pesto on the pizza was a few random splashes. It was horrible. I don't mind spending good money for good food, but bad food and slow service and a $100+ bill for 4 people sucks. I will never go back to this place. Save your money, save your time, even olive garden is better than this crap!

Went with my hungry girls crew to celebrate a birthday after work. We sat at the bar and enjoyed their happy hour specials. Everything we ordered was yummy - my favorite was the carpaccio. Being that we were smack in the heart of Pinecrest the crowd was a bit elderly but not geriatric. It's a great spot to stop for a glass of wine and some appetizers with girlfriends, especially if you're on the hunt for a silver fox or a sugar daddy.

We had lunch at Brio during a training session shortly before they opened their restaurant. We were greeted right away and only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. The decor and style of the restaurant was impressive, yet comfortable. The managers and hostesses were all very attentive. The wait staff were knowledgable, friendly and helped each other out. I think the they all share the tables, even though you have one "main" waiter. And the food... a little pricey, but oh my! Divine. The kid's salmon plate was so delicious that I had to pry myself away from my son's plate before I ate it all. Honestly, that dish was the most memorable to me. I'll definitely order the salmon next time I'm there! The appetizers were good; we had bruschetta (they automatically brought it out, not sure if that's standard) and calamari. We're always on the hunt for good calamari, and Brio nailed it. The salads were good and fresh. And the sampler dessert was delish! (Despite being stuffed from the generous lunch portions, we still managed to scarf down the dessert!) My only complaint is that our waitress was a bit inattentive, but the surrounding wait staff made up for it. I imagine that this restaurant will quickly become a hit, so be sure to make reservations to avoid long wait times.

Stopped in for an early lunch/ brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the service, food and ambiance. I expected to find a cluster fu## of Sunday foodies but on the contrary, my hubby and I were greeted by 2 very pleasant hostesses and sat by the bar area immediately. Brio is an Italian restaurant with an extensive menu, including brunch and a light menu for those of us who live on a diet. The hubby and I had some sort of cheese and crab dip which was phenomenal and then we ordered off the light menu, cause we felt like 2 hippos. Hubby ordered the garlic linguine and I had the pasta carbonera, both very delicious. The meal was then topped off with 2 peanut butter mouse concoctions that were to die for. All and all, I am definitely a fan and will be returning soon.

Great service, excellent appetizers, great lobster bisque, creamy and flavorful. You got to try the sourdough Bread it is perfect. Better than most bakeries down here. And the pecan butterscotch bread pudding is incredible.

The food is ok. But the service is HORRIBLE. Whether it's busy or not, the service is very slow. Takes at least 15 mins for a waiter to acknowledge you!!!! Gave this place another try, and even worst service! Unbelievable!!! Went for coffee and desserts....it took over an HOUR. The desserts came out first (still no coffee), with NO spoons, and all the ice cream had melted onto everything in a mess!!!! When we pointed it out, the waiter said "it's just some of the ice cream that melted". The coffees were all cold and tasteless when they were eventually served. They need new staff and management. Terrible place....

The food here is nothing to rave about. For it is quite bland and nothing great. There is nothing Italian about their food, in fact, I would compare it to Carrabba's. If you like the stuff at Carrabba's and there is nothing wrong with that, you will probably find Brio a good fit. If, however, you want traditional Italian food, then I would recommend La Locanda in Washington Ave. Brio is more of your C+ Italian restaurant. I had the Veal Milanese and it tasted like a "bisteq empanizado" from any run of the mill Cuban restaurant. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but if I wanted Cuban, I would have gone to a Cuban restaurant. The only difference in Brio's version of the Veal and a Cuban Bisteq Empanizado was the "pomodorino" which anyway tasted bland and acidic. At the end of the evening I asked for an expresso which never go there to begin with. The waitors and greeters are very nice, but incompetent. It took us about 20 min just to have the waiter take our order. Will I ever return here? No, if I am ever in the mood for "Fast Food Italiano", I will return to Carrabbas.

No, no, no. This is a poor representation of the chain in every way. I get that I can't have fine dining expectations in a chain, in a mall, etc. BUT there was no attention to our table, let alone to detail. The restaurant wasn't busy, but we saw our server 3 times during the course of the meal. Cold plates holding hot food. Appetizers arrived before we got side plates or silverware. When we got the side plates they were wet, so I used my making to dry them and got an eye roll when I asked for a replacement napkin. Really the list goes on. The thing is I've been to a Brio before (in Annapolis), and had a really great experience because of the staff. Again, chain food is what it is, so the presentation and service needs to be what brings you back. Brio of Pinecrest...I won't be back.

I really dislike leaving bad reviews!!!! I don't even use Yelp a lot lately but my last experience here was terrible. Service was really bad. From having to remind them of what I was drinking, to getting up and getting my own drink at the bar since they seems super busy and not enough staff maybe?! To Parmesan cheese being spilled all over me ! And my meal was tasteless . My bf's meal was better so I gave it two stars .

  • Eddie V.

I only looked up the reviews just now on this place to see if this place was known for slow service. And I was right. That seems to be the main problem with this place. Food is good, the staff is not rude they're just slow and untrained. Kept having to catch both of our waiters walking by to order another drink. They bring you a beer and glass and don't pour the beer for you that kinda stuff. Place looks nice and it's not cheap. Take the extra step and educate the staff.

  • Star F.

Terrible service!!! Have to wait 20 min. for the staff to clean the table, 20 min. to get a server and worst waiting more than 40 min for bad food and the most terrible drinks.

Wish I could award you half a star. After months of being open we finally decide to come to Brio for dinner. Reading all of your posts and seeing your photos made me hungry. We arrive and it's busy ( graduation season ) but we understand there was one person in front of us in line for the hostess. She took a while but it's ok we are patient. We step up and the hostess entertains some random guy who wanted to inquire about his wait time. Ok...rude but hey it's alright. He's done , it's finally our turn! But wait, some other random lady comes up ( also not in line) and the hostess tells me to wait so she can help rando #2 with her inquiry. WTF?! Seriously I spoke up and the hostess has the audacity to tell me to wait again because she just has a quick question. It gets better. After speaking to the manager she offers to seat us immediately---ahead of all these people waiting 40+ minutes already. Since I am not rude and a considerate person we declined. If you feel like putting up with a crappy hostess who needs an etiquette class come eat here. Otherwise it's 15-20 minutes wait at BJ's for 2. BOOM.

I was waiting for this one to open because I used to go to the one on Hallandale. I can tell that I'm very disappointed the service is horrible they forget the orders, the chef is extremely loud! If I want to go out and eat is to have a good time and relaxing experience! Not to go to a place where you think you are in the army or something! Don't waste your money Villagio'a and Macarroni grill are way better than this place. Never go back again!

  • Andrew S.

Food was pretty good, but service was awful! We waited 45 minutes for a table, only to learn that they were calling out the wrong name for the reservation even though we were holding a beeper. Then another hour to get our mostly pasta dishes only to find a sticker in two of our meals, presumably from the pre-made food packets in the kitchen. The food was pretty tasty though, hence the two stars, but trying to stay calm and wait the wait will take some real work. Won't be back until I read some positive reviews on the service.

I was very excited to try this place when it opened by the Falls. I was disappointed at how LONG everything took. We had dinner for 2.5 hrs and it was not by choice. Every time we ordered something it would take an eternity to come to the table. I had to return my drink because it was not drinkable. Once it was re-done it was still bad, but I just didn't drink it. The food was not Fresh and almost cold. Definitely need some work but, I feel there is potential above it all.

Hey Dan L. i get what you're saying........but that's what happens when you eat in corporate owned restaurants in malls. while i can't say our meal was poor in many respects, i didn't have too many expectations. we don't normally frequent corporate owned restaurants, but we were being lazy, didn't want to drive far and i had to pick something up at the Falls. the flat bread were quite good, my wine was nice (chilean sauv blanc - can't really go wrong there), prices were a tad high, but again, not out of this world. we ate outside.......no way did we want inside in a place where the decibles of noise were not the music but people talking. ugh, hate that, too big and too much echo (ok i'm getting old ill admit it); and the views made us laugh. the parking lot, the parking garage or BJ Restaurant which has to have the ugliest architecture theme ever, especially for Miami. it depicts farm scenes that look like a may day labor party painted them!!! interesting. my pasta was again, ok. so was my husband's. doubt we'll go back. but if you're at the falls, and like those kind of places, go for it.

I was so excited when I found out they were building a Brio down south considering the closest one was about 45 minutes away. Every time I am in Orlando, I make it a point to go and eat there because I cannot get it back at home. Prepare to wait for HOURS unless you make reservations. Even with BJ's next store, they both have hour long waits. The vodka sauce pasta was delicious and so was the chicken parm. I have def. had a better minestrone soup before and won't be ordering that again. It was a great experience except for the air shutting off but I would still go back in a heartbeat!

I have been to Brio's several times and have always enjoyed it. Tonight however was not a good experience. We had a 6pm reservation for a party of 12 celebrating a family birthday. The restaurant was crowded with families and many young children. Sitting at a table amongst these families was two woman one of which was wearing a shirt with the "F" word in large letters across the chest. I said something to the manager who informed me that she was a customer and their was nothing he can do. He made his choice and i have made mine - I will not be going back. It's a shame because I usually enjoy the atmosphere and the food is generally very good.

My friends have been to other locations of this restaurant and were excited to go to this one because its closer to where we are now. We went for a quiet dinner and just to chill out. It is very pretty inside and I would imagine great for date night. The food was excellent and I loved my drink. I had a peach bellini and the lasagna Bolognese with meat sauce. We shared the calamari fritti as an appetizer, which was cooked very nicely. But beware of the sauces and the hidden peppers! They include fried green habaneros (?) and I had quite the surprise as I downed one without thinking. The sauce is pretty heavy on the plate and I much rather would have preferred just fried calamari with red sauce on the side. Oh by the way, I am not usually a fan of red sauce unless it is very very fresh and this is some if the best I've had!

1-Good food 2-Good atmosphere 3-A little pricey 4-Friendly, but slowwww service (and no, the restaurant wasn't busy). Wanted to order dessert & other food but things were going so slow that I decided against it.

Horrible service and very bad dining experience ! The food was not warm and took extremely too long!! The waiter was not attentive and would forget all our requests. Then finally we ordered the chocolate cake dessert and when we finally received the dessert, the scoop of vanilla ice cream was completely melted over the chocolate cake.

Not sure why all the negative reviews for this place. I had heard about it from a friend who has been a few times. We were looking for a new place to go and ended up here. The parking was a mission on a Monday afternoon (holiday), but we finally found parking. We had just left the Coconut Grove Arts Festival so when we walked in, we were impressed with the ambiance of this place, and not sure if we were dressed properly! We were greeted by a hostess who was very pleasant. Sat us right away. Our server, Damica, came to our table, took our drink order and offered to tell us about the specials and the menu. I ordered the Burger with fries. I really enjoyed it. My sister ordered the Chicken Caprese and was delighted with hers as well. Damica came and refilled our drinks (without us asking her to) and even chatted with us for a few. The place was packed but everyone seemed happy with their food and the service. Our food came out at a reasonable time. I would recommend this place and go back again.

Just mediocre at best! The veal scaloppine was dry, over breaded and had no lemon taste as described in the menu. The fettuccine was dry and gummy! I hate Olive Garden , but I think I can get a Better meal there; and for much less than $25!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
